Speaker 1 (00:14):
It's for an iHeart radio station guaranteed human.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
There is a sense of urgency, there's a lot of pressure,
there's a lot of life experience that happens very early
in your life and even midlife. And if you do
get to a point where as we hear often that
as we naturally age, that things start to maybe.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Bother you a little less. You have less to.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Fight against or set like you know what I mean,
Like you're not really up against as much.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
And it does.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
That's not a perspective that a younger person would understand
because you're fighting through your life at that time. So
if I'm hearing like a Paul McCartney song and he's
just like this is on the book from here.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I'm sorry, I can't buy a house.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Like what are we talking about?

Speaker 5 (01:12):
His next song is about maxing out your rough contributions.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
One, two, three.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Frandy Bellman and the DV morning show me.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
Today's show is packed. We should probably break it up
into three or four shows. But we're not gonna. We're
gonna jam it all in there like a PRP shot
in your thumb. It's just it's gonna be way too
much in a small capsule. We'll rate our algorithms at
seven forty five. Big Cat from barstool Sports pardon my take.
We'll be joining us eight forty five and Guy janku

(01:46):
are at nine to forty five. We'll talk about how
there's nothing to talk about in sports except for the
World Cup. Yesterday's World Cup game between Argentina and England was,
in all thimer, one of the greatest games I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Coach hing Mouth feassons.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
I'm sure a lot of people didn't get to see
it because of the three o'clock start time, but I'm
here to tell you right now that was as exciting
as sports can get. And with what was on the line,
international intrigue from the World Cup angle, of course, the
whole world watching and seeing England fall in glorious fashion
yet again, to have victory snag from them in the

(02:26):
last fifteen minutes there by Argentina just, oh god, was
that enjoyable. So now you have Argentina facing Spain Hispania.
But there's like, you know, when it's when it's like
Baltimore and Pittsburgh playing, you know, there's only so much
like beefing you can do back and forth. But when

(02:46):
you're talking about countries, the trolling takes on another level.
Like the Argentinians were running around with a banner that
said the Falkland Islands belonged to Argentina.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
You know they're doing war trolling, you know, yes, Oh
that's great, Yeah, history, you know exactly. I mean we
talked about Steelers Ravens. That's a less than a thirty
year old rivalry.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
Argentina and England have been doing it for centuries. Anyways,
pack shows we said, Abby's got unis right now?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Hi, Abby? What's going on?

Speaker 7 (03:20):
News?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
This hour? Brought to you by your neighborhood Ford Store.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Partly sunny and pretty toasty today, and wildfire smoke will
create unhealthy air quality and poor visibility at times.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
It's gonna be a high of ninety three.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I mean, the tweet of the day yesterday was breathing
in hefty lungfuls of smoke as I get explosive diarrhea
from salad. The sky turns apocalyptic orange, while oil companies
drilling protected lands, screwworms are eating cattle alive, and the
president paid six million dollars for rape.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Also, I'm able to bet on all of it.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I'm looking at I was just about to start a
story on the bridge demolition getting it didn't happen.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
It didn't happen.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
And it was postponed after people were camped out and
ready to go, and apparently there were issues with some
part of the deck that prevented crews from moving equipment,
and then they just ran out of daylight and just
decided to call it a day because I think the
range was until like nine pm, but they as of
like early this morning, they were supposed to do it today,

(04:27):
like this morning was supposed to happen, and now I'm
seeing an email saying that it is not happening today.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Okay, so that's what's got you, because you look confused, over.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Confused because I was just ready to do it, and
then like one minute ago, I just got an email.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
I just got an update from traffic.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Well, yeah, it.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Looks like it's not happening today. Not sure what the
reason for that would be. It did seem like a
lot of people were camped out for it, though, because
every like newscast that I saw, it almost sounded like
the news anchors were like a little miffed that so
many people were there, and like getting closer than them,

(05:05):
Like there's a drone that they had flying around and
it would beep when people were too close, and it
kept like going off because people were getting too close
to the last zone.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
But that is a very bitfird thing to do. It's
like it's going to blow up.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
I got to see it.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
I do want to back up Abby by reading the
the alert that we got, the email that we that
we got in all capitals, it just says bridge explosion,
not today, bridge explosion, not.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Today, not today, bridge explosion, not today. Satan.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Well, listen, it's.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Clear, I understood, and you get to go through the
muck in there and find out exactly why but not.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Today, bridge explosion, not today.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Have a bad case of.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Schwarzenegger and true lies to bridge explosion. Why would they
write it? Like I guess they want us to be aware.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Well I guess they do.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, well, super helpful.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Very all right.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Well, and also we know about that Pittsburgh Walk of Fame,
but we're going to do that at six forty five today,
So if everybody is ready to know what the ten,
well you.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Can do that.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
No, I don't want to, I don't want to jump that.
Let's do it together, Okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Taco Bell has voluntarily and temporarily removed certain ingredients from
menus at select restaurants as a precautionary measure due to
the outbreak of cyclospora.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Social media posts indicate that.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Lettuce, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, guacamole, and pico deagayo are temporarily
unavailable at mostly Midwest Taco Bell locations.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I guess you have to choose your own adventure in
other ones.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
The move by Taco Bell exceeds current CDC guidance, which
advises washing produce but acknowledges the difficulty in avoiding cyclospora.
The CDC is investigating a multi state outbreak linked to
contaminated fresh produce, with symptoms including explosive diarrhea, fatigue, and
stomach cramps.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
I you know now, we're seeing the all of the
articles going you stop freaking out about cyclosphoria, like it's
not gonna happen. Well, I mean it's happening, but it
likely won't happen to you, and it's easy to avoid
and all that.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I bought some frozen veggies yesterday.

Speaker 6 (07:31):
I'm surprised how many frozen veggies were still in the
in the freezer. That being said, the thing I did
read which I had not considered, is because this parasite
is so damn hard to kill that when people have it,
it goes back into the water system because oh no,

(07:53):
because it will it won't die, so our waste system
at like it's getting back into the water supply. And
then they irrigate the lettuce and stuff with that water again,
and those things won't die. Chlorine bleach will not kill them.

(08:13):
The only thing that kills them is heat one hundred
and fifty eight degrees. So you do have to just
cook your stuff. I mean, you know, nobody's gonna cook
berries or lettuce, but the other stuff, I just cook
it for a while.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
I threw away so much stuff yesterday because I realized
that when the nanny's helping my daughter with her like
lunch for camp today, that there were still strawberries blueberries,
like They're all just hanging out in the refrigerator.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
And I kept thinking, I'm like, well, why am I
leaving them there? No more, like I'm not eating them.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
It's just like I'm watching them rot in the refrigerator.
I mean like, oh, well, can't eat those, I know,
and I was just thinking, I'm like, oh.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Man, what if they're like, you haven't fresh fruit in.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Your right you know, I'm still in that time frame
the last time I had some leafy green.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, I think you're a right breakdown.

Speaker 6 (09:04):
I think you'd start to have a few pangs. Yeah,
you'd feel like day six or something, you'd have some pangs.
I had some lettuce last weekend.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
That you know.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
I don't know exactly who's a giant eagle up north,
so I'm not exactly sure where the lettuce came from.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
But I think I should be fine.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
I would think you'd get a few pangs before the explosion,
don't you.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
I would hope there'd be some warning shots instead of
I don't know. Maybe that's the thing about explosive diarrhea.
You never really know.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
That might be why it has the name.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Yeah, otherwise it would be progressive diarrhea, Bernie Sanders kind
of diarrhea.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
We lost another one, Sheila in sales. She was God
Speed Sheila.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Performers like Tom Cruise, I Show Speed and Postal Alone
will be a part of the closing ceremony for the
World Cup. The ceremony aims to celebrate the journey of
the forty eight teams across sixteen host cities in three countries.
I Show Speed is listed as a performer, while Tom
Cruise will make a special appearance. Other performers at the

(10:17):
ceremony include Laura Paul the Sini, Nicole Schweiser from Used
to Be Pussycat.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Dolls, Yeah, Robbie Williams, and Jennifer Hudson.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Some big names there. What is I show Speed? I
know that guy?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Do you not know?

Speaker 4 (10:33):
He was a twitch star? I guess, Jacob, you're younger
than us.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
Who the hell's I show Speed other than I know
he's a Twitter live streamer?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
What does he live stream his life?

Speaker 6 (10:47):
Okay, I don't know much about him, not like I
think it's like the biggest following on Internet.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
But he's listed as a performer, so he's apparently also
a musician.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Stunts, Oh, it.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Does gaming, Internet challenges and some stunts. Yeah, stunts is hilarious.
And now I will jump seven school buses.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
Uh okay, well, I would think you'd get better for
the World Cup, But what do I know?

Speaker 2 (11:15):
It says he's pursued a rapping career too, well, so
am I. But they didn't invite me.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
I'm just saying I could go sing the Summer Penis song.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Yeah, they haven't asked.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
That's on them.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
We think it would be the ideal venue for Summer
Penis to sing it, to sing it and to show it.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
Oh Hollywood Bowl, Yeah yeah, outdoor because you need to
have the outdoor whether you can't be in air.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Conditioning singing Summer Penis. No, no, no, that's a different one.
It's crazy. That's Acy Ween, completely different song.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
Acy Wiener, Well, Acy Wiener will be at the World
Cup celebration.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
William Shatner is that to perform a metal sound at
Chicago's riot Fest with an all star band backing The
ninety five year old Shatner expressed his excitement about the performance,
dating quote Riotfest is exactly the kind of place where
anything can happen. The backing band includes members of the
Nuclear Messiah collective such as Marcus Nand and bassist Phil Susan.

(12:21):
Shatner is working on a heavy metal album for Cleopatra Records,
featuring covers of Judas Priest songs and guest appearances from
Rob Halford and Mickey d.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Check.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
There's like eighty six. He's ninety four rather Yeah, yeah,
I say, we've had him on the show for he's great.
My favorite is he goes into space in the Bezos
Rocket and he comes down and he's so affected by it. Yeah,
that he has this revelation about our smallness in the

(12:57):
universe and it is an an absolutely like existential moment
for him, and Bezos is like, what did you think?
And William Shatner is trying to explain the gravity of
the situation that he just endured and experienced and is

(13:18):
slowly becoming more profound speaking about it, and Bezos gets
bored and shakes up a bottle of champagne and pops
it in his face.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Yeah, that clip is it's like, this is why we'll
never inhabit space. This is that's why we'll die on
the smoldering rock like a light jersey.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
Isn't the reason you're doing it for that guy to
have that revelation?

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Like, no, don't you want to hear what he had
to say? There?

Speaker 6 (13:47):
He's like boring, boring, boring in his head and he
pops champagne in an old man's face and he runs
over and puts his arm around his plastic lover.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
Yeah, it was just sad because you would think, I
don't know bezos at least pretend to be.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
It's gonna take you a one minute.

Speaker 6 (14:08):
Yeah yeah, listen to him, and he just couldn't do it.
You can google it if you want. It's just a
crazy interaction. Poor old man, Poor old man.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I think what's interesting about the Shatner performance at Riotfest
is that Cleopatra Records had a rep that came out
and said that this is not gonna be some novelty act.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
This is not like Richard Cheese kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
This is like a genuine rock show with world class musician.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
I love Chard Cheese. It's so funny to me.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
I don't know if is Richard Cheese the guy lounge
against lounge Yeah, okay, yeah, Richard.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
He's what's great is when he calls out people for
a solo, like, uh, well, he calls out this one
guy all the time.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
He goes Bobby.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
He's been in a bunch of movies too, like he's
done little he has. Yeah, he was in definitely in
Barbin Starr at Vista del Mar. I remember him singing
a song there, and god there's another movie that he's in.
But yeah, Richard cheese in lounge against the Mischine is
such a funny name.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
He's been at it for a long time now.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
I can't remember everything that was on that record, but
I know he did Closer from Nine Inch Nails.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
He did Yeah, he did some also that I don't
think would play now. But but we're just songs that
he sang in lounge style.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
There's no editorializing. He's just like, this was the song.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
He did the lego Batman movie soundtrack, and he did
Batman Versus Superman also, and donn of the Dead from
two thousand and four.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
He did Down with the Sickness. Oh yeah, that's one
of his hits.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
Yeah, why did you leave the keys up on the table?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Old band? You wanted to?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (16:00):
My body?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
All right? Finally, here, a seventy six year old woman
is now speaking out after the state of Florida sent
her a randomized license plate number.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
That appears to read squeeze ass.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Oh my god, I saw this. It's so funny.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Last year, Florida rejected one hundred and thirty vanity plate
applications for being two obscene for public roads.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Then the state's own system.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Generated a standard issue plate which read sqz A five
to five, which looked like squeeze ass, and mailed it
to the seventy six year old woman in Pompino Beach,
and nobody caught it until she did. Nancy Dello Stritro
did not need a dirty mind to read the plate,
and neither did her neighbors.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Take a listen to her reaction.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
I don't think a woman that lives in a senior
community that's going to be seventy seven years old next month,
we'll be driving around with what this plate has to say.

Speaker 8 (17:00):
Okay, prude, so kind of okay, Nancy, Sorry, yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I guess you're walled off that way. Squeeter ash come on.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Barently her first instinct was to swap the plate immediately.
Broward County officials confirmed that she could get a free
replacement at the DAG office, no questions asked, no cost involved,
But her sons thought it was hilarious and her friends agreed,
so after talking it over, she reversed course entirely, and
she told CBS Miami that the racy tag might even

(17:39):
earn her extra honks from passing drivers. And she's taking
the Florida woman headline and making it her own rather
than fight it.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Well, so I mean she really steered it into the
skin on this one.

Speaker 6 (17:50):
Because you don't have to go to the news if
you didn't want this to be something that drew a
lot of attention, I just kind of be quiet about it.
But now we all know your name, where you live,
and we know you're the ass squeezer.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
It's not that Yeah, the plate's not even that bad.
It's not like telling it's a fister.

Speaker 7 (18:15):
That you would want, depending yes, depending two knucks, I
need to have this change.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
It's a type of bird.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, a lot of things seems like they've been able
to sneak through here. They kind of like Florida built
this entire bureaucratic fortress against things like this happening, and
it's kind of wild that they are so randomized and
they got squeeze ass. But the fortress has one notable
blind spot. It guards the front door while leaving the

(18:55):
back door. Why to it and that scrutiny targets vanity
played applications like some people who try to do things
like mister Dui or badass or like mister Duy.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I can't believe that's on there.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Mister Duy, please tell us why.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
All right, it's going to be hot today and there's
going to be hayes from the wildfire smoke, so unhealthy
air quality and poor visibility at times.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
It's a high of ninety three.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
All right, we'll rate our algorithms.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
We'll tell you about the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame, the
newest inductees, I Guess and Big Cat from Barstool Sports

Speaker 6 (20:08):
Yesterday by England and Argentina with the World Cup Championship
on the line, was one for the ages. One of
the best sporting events I've ever watched.

Speaker 10 (20:22):
Yeah, no, no argument, seriously, no argument whatsoever. Argentina advancing
to the World Cup Final in historic and dramatic fashion
with a two to one extra time victory over England.
It'll be Argentina against Spain at three o'clock on Sunday
for the World Cup Championship. Sports This hour brought to

(20:44):
you by Bridgeville Appliance. England took the lead at the
fifty five minute mark, Argentina countered at the eighty five
minute mark and then got the eventual game winner at
the ninety two minute mark.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
In extra time.

Speaker 10 (20:57):
England's coach is being crushed, and justifiably so, for turtling
after taking that one goal lead and just trying to
hatch a one nothing victory like an egg for thirty
plus minutes. I think they call that parking the bus
in soccer. But I got to put a lot of
the blame on the players as well, because you just,
no matter what your strategy, you got to execute it.

(21:20):
And you know, if you're good enough to make it
to the World Cup Final four, you ought to be
able to protect the one goal lead late. And it
was curious to me the one scoring chance England had
after it took that one nothing. Lead was when England
took the ball off Messi and got a fast break.
I think it was number seventeen and he waited a

(21:43):
little too long and he got a shot blocked, but
he ran the ball down.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
He was just outside the box. He had a great look.

Speaker 10 (21:50):
And you know, you're allowed to counter, you're allowed to defend,
not just back up.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
And I think they just panicked completely.

Speaker 6 (21:59):
I mean, dropping that many people at that point playing
prevent defense at that point against a team like Argentina.
And again, I don't want to come off as like
I'm some like years long, you know, international soccer expert,
but having watched a ton of the World Cup and
lots of postgame on this one, it seems like England

(22:20):
really screwed the pooch uh and they just allowed Messi
to do what he does. Like the one game plan
they said. Harry Kane was like, we talked all week
about he can't beat us. Messi can't beat us, and
then they gave him the opportunity to do that when
they all dropped.

Speaker 10 (22:36):
Back, Yeah, and they were actually you know, at some
point you got to attack the guy and try to
take the ball off from which they did at least once.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
I mean you got a couple penalties too, Yeah, he
drew a couple.

Speaker 10 (22:47):
I think it was a combination of a bad strategy
and the players just looking for somebody else to do.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
It, oh man, like they didn't want to. But also,
you know, credit to Argentina. I mean they were relentless,
no question. But it was like I I posted a
tweet about Lake after England scored. It reminded me of
blazing Saddles when the sheriff is going to shoot mango
and Gene Wilder's like, no, no, no, don't shoot them,
You'll only make them mad. Like after England scored. It

(23:14):
just it really little fire under Argentina, and you got
to watch about twenty minutes of incredibly intense sports.

Speaker 10 (23:22):
And that's Romo right. They've been doing an all tournament.
They're not dead to you drive the stake through no, yeah, yeah,
I mean they keep coming.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Our three goal comeback against Egypt.

Speaker 10 (23:34):
You know, Argentina now and it's seventh World Cup final
and trying to join Italy in nineteen thirty four, in
nineteen thirty eight and Brazil in nineteen fifty eight. In
nineteen sixty two as the only countries to win back
to back World Cups. So you got this Argentina team
that just refuses to lose against Spain, which doesn't lose, doesn't.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Give up goals. It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be
good stuff. On What time is that on Sunday? Three o'clock?

Speaker 10 (24:06):
Oh yeah, it's a good met Life Stadium, East Rutherford,
New Jersey. Saturday, France and England play in the third
place game.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Why do they do that third place game? Yeah, I
don't know. I guess it used to matter if you
got third the humiliation because if you lose that.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
One didn't even meddle, you're really a disgrace.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Yeah, that's probably something.

Speaker 10 (24:35):
Well, I don't know, we'll see what what kind of
crowd they get.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
That's at Miami Gardens, Florida.

Speaker 10 (24:40):
I guess if you're over here from one of those countries,
you're still gonna go.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Oh yeah, Freddy, you'll go. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (24:51):

Speaker 10 (25:14):
Skiings pitch Sunday five and a third Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

because he's supposed to be your best pitcher, of your
horse and all that.

Also just entertainment for your fans.

Speaker 10 (25:29):
But you know, I got to protect them because someday
he's going to be pitching not against the Yankees, but
for the Yankees.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
As we found that that the All Star Game.

Speaker 10 (25:38):
NHL announced home openers for its expanded eighty four game schedule.
The league season starts on September the twenty ninth. Penguins
will wait till September thirtieth, when they visit Philadelphia. The
Penn's home opener is October the third, against the Canadians.

(25:59):
Penguins will also be the opponent for the Capitol's home
opener on October the seventh. Entire NHL schedules will be
released today. Anthony Mantha won't be playing in any of
the Penguin games this season, he signs a two year,
nine point five million dollar contract with the Devils.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Good for him.

Speaker 10 (26:16):
He's thirty one, coming off of career year thirty three goals,
thirty one assists in sixty four points in eighty one games.
And I would not have invested anything in him, regarding
money or term.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
He just it was fun.

Speaker 10 (26:31):
Yeah, he helped him make the playoffs when nobody thought
they could.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
Thanks for everything. This guy's not going to take you anywhere,
so he goes to Jersey. Good for it.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
I don't know that they had that exact conversation. Hey,
you're not going to take us anywhere.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
I had sure I would, okay, And I don't know
why they needed to be said.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
We don't want to invest anything in you, and we
don't think you're going to take us anywhere.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Thanks for stopping. You don't have to go home, but
you can't stay here. Okay. Nobody likes you, Yeah, sure
I like them, fine, but all right, you're a disagreeable person.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
Well there's a body order issue.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
I slept with your wife. I'm just gonna get my stuff.
We took your stuff.

Speaker 10 (27:20):
You know, everybody thought you were a has been journeyman
last year and we took a flyer and it worked out.
But we're not going to expect that lightning to strike again.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
Abbam's got a news job of the hour.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
We're going to talk about Hollywood suffering from slop face,
and robot teachers are coming to schools.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
When we come back.

Speaker 6 (27:39):
The Pittsburgh Walk of Fame the latest entrance, and comedian
Frank Nikoto's suggestions for future Walk of Fame inductees.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
That's next on DJ.

Speaker 9 (27:50):
We don't know how to make the music, We just
know how to make it last longer. Chad Tyson kicks
off his show every weekday at three with a commercial
free were Od block afternoons on one oh two point
five dv E.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Does your Driveway or Walkway? Just keep getting.

Speaker 6 (28:10):

Speaker 6 (28:20):
I have had a great couple of days and everything's
great until I think a bird ate some romaine lettuce.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
On your car or.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Something yeah, came out like, oh yeah, either blue sky,
sunny day.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
Everything's great.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
Abby's got the list of the newest inductees into the
Pittsburgh Walk of Fame.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Okay, yeah, so last year's initial group of inductees, if
you remember, we're George Benson, Nellie Bly, Andrew Carnegie, Rachel Carson,
Fred Rogers, doctor Jonah Salt, Andy Warhol, Roberto Clemente, August Wilson,
and Michael Keaton.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
So here is your new class.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Myron Cope kicking that off, Frank o'harrisy, now both of us.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
You can't argue with either of those.

Speaker 6 (29:10):
Mary Olemieux, I mean absolutely, you know, obviously I'm not
crazy about being walked on.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
But you know, Jimmy Stewart, he's from Indiana.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Interesting it sets president because it's not like he's from Indiana, PA.
And then he did all of his you know, noteworthy
career stuff in Pittsburgh. He's from Indo Indiana, PA. So
it casts a wide net on where they'll be selecting
people from in the future.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
I'm not okay with it.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
I'm kind of not okay with that one. I don't
really think there's a big Pittsburgh connection there none.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Are we going to annex Steubenville to get Dean Martin
for this? That's probably gonna happen, and I'm not okay
with that either. Suonville's closer, arguably or as close.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Arrett Vansini, composer.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
Oh, I thought the bread guy, the bad guy deserves it.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 10 (30:05):
Henry man Seen he's from Cleveland and he's a graduate
of Aliquippa High School.

Speaker 6 (30:09):
Okay, okay, all right, I guess yeah, Well you graduate
from Aliquippa, that's you.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
You deserve some sort of deserve.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Fever County Hall of Okay, Well, yeah, yeah, Beaver County,
I'll allow for sure.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
Indiana County is I mean or is it? What? What
county is?

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Indian?

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Is it Indian Accounty? It better be Indiana County. Yeah,
that's too far.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Charles Teeny Harris photographer, no question, probably the most unherlded
pittsburgher there is, uh in terms of his importance, his talent,
and his his output.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
If you've never gone to the Carnegie Museum and checked
out the Teeny Harris exhibit, you're doing yourself at the service.
There's also an online uh uh way to do it,
and you can check out a bunch of pictures.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
There are books.

Speaker 6 (31:00):
He is the basically only chronicler of a glorious time
in Pittsburgh's past, when the Hill District was like the
second or third biggest black community in the United States.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
It was like.

Speaker 10 (31:20):
Harlem Watts and the Hill and as influential as any Oh.

Speaker 6 (31:26):
My God from No Question and the GOSPA. Yeah, the
Pittsburgh Courier, Okay Courier. Uh. And that's who Teeny Harris
took pictures for. And he was brilliant. And it'll show
you a side of Pittsburgh that you probably didn't know existed,
and you'll be very sad doesn't still exist.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
H J.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Hines makes the list.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
I mean it's hard to argue with that, right.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Very much.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
George Westinghouse, there you go, inventor and industrialist.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Yeah, you know, I got a little issue with Carnegie too, well,
a lot of people do, yeah.

Speaker 10 (32:07):
Being you know, he tried to buy his way into
heaven after but at least you did that.

Speaker 6 (32:14):
Well, these jackasses today are just hoarding all the money
and screwing the rest of the world.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
There's that local local accordion player Steve Pellegrino.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
He does like performance art.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
I don't know if you guys are familiar, but he
has a great song called Andrew Carnegie was a jag off.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
It's about remembering.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
Sure, we have all these libraries, we have all these
you know, these parks and things.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
But yeah, let's let's not forget.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Shirley Jones.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Oh departure family. Yeah, she was Miss Pittsburgh, Cartridge family.
She was Miss Pittsburg. That's what you associated is her accomplishment?
What do you associate with? Oh my god, she was
actors and star of stage screen?

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Are you thinking of Shirley maclain?

Speaker 4 (33:02):
No, Shirley. What else did Shirley Jones on Broadway?

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Was she?

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (33:07):
Yeah, Shirley Jones was hot in like the forties.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
She was Miss Pittsburgh. That's enough. That's enough for a start,
right exactly.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Martha Graham is the last on the list. Dancer and choreographer.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
I don't know. Martha Graham.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Sounds like she created one hundred and eighty one ballets
and dance technique that expressed emotion through sharp angular movements
based on.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Contraction and release.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah, it's all right.

Speaker 6 (33:42):
Charlie Jones was in the film adaptation of Oklahoma Carousel.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
The music Man. Okay, she's from Charleroi, all right, fine,
us better than a portugee.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Well, but the Partridge Family's famous.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
Yeah, that o su Yeah, but it's in terms of
cultural impact. I mean she was in those musicals in
the fifties.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Yeah, okay, I mean that's where she made her bones.
Well all right, but my reference is the seventies. Few
checks for the Partridge Family. She was buying a Ducci's mom.

Speaker 6 (34:15):
Yeah, and David Cassidy she's still alive too. Wait wasn't
she David Cassidy's dad only one?

Speaker 4 (34:21):
Yeh?

Speaker 6 (34:21):
She was on Tattledale. Mom, she was on Tattledale was
like every week because her husband was like a comic.
Jack Cassidy, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Six.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Shirley Jones married actor and singer Jack Cassidy. They had
three sons, Sean, Patrick and Ryan. David was Jack's son
from his first marriage to Evelyn Ward. Okay, so that
became Shirley Jones' step son. Okay, that's interesting, But Sean
Cassidy was actually Shirley Jones's kid. Shawn Cassidy was also
a teen heartthrop Oh. Absolutely, he was a Tiger Beat favorite.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (34:56):
Nineteen sixty Academy Award for Elmer Gantry opposite Burt Lancaster.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Marty Ingles is who you're thinking of it? Marty Ingles, Yeah,
he was like a low red Don Rickles. Yeah, something
like that.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Tad makes a good point. So Shirley Jones and.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Larry mu are the two people who are alive on
the list.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
Neither of them are going to show up for this.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
You don't think Mux would show up?

Speaker 4 (35:18):
No, I don't think. What if he's already in town?

Speaker 2 (35:20):
It says Lemu is expected to attend the event. An
official induction ceremony is gonna take place on October the thirteenth.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
Hey, all of a sudden, the guy's coming back in
the down do an induction?

Speaker 4 (35:30):
I mean, if you want to give him stuff, well.

Speaker 6 (35:31):
You know, obviously I want to meet Charlie Jones for
her work on Broadway. Obviously, if you want people to
show up, you gotta have Lemouse show you got that
big guy?

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, I mean, who's going to go down to see?
I mean a few people. Maybe the bread guy can
fill in for he's good. The Primandy Brothers got to
be on next year's ballot.

Speaker 6 (35:56):
But I mean, isn't it not Permanny, though, isn't the
original family something else or did the the family I'm
thinking of buy it from the original Primanny's. I'm not
sure about that. At any rate, someone on that family
tree should be down there next year on October thirteenth.
Is there anything more Pittsburgh than Primanny's. Maybe Andrew Carnegie

(36:21):
and Lemieux that's about it.

Speaker 10 (36:23):
Yeah, yeah, maybe Mills left. Maybe we could have a riot.

Speaker 6 (36:30):
Oh yeah, just bring in the Pinkertons and do a
little Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
That cool.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
This is, you know, going back to Jimmy Stewart thing.
It's it says in the description lack of fame groups
driven by a group of civic, corporate and community leaders
who want to celebrate the celebrate the people of Pittsburgh
who have left their mark on America.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
So by that definition, Jimmy Stewart, it's not.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
But also, I mean we're going way outside of it.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
I agree.

Speaker 6 (36:57):
I totally agree, Abby, Okay for your edification. Primanny's opened
in nineteen thirty three, and it was Joe Primanny who
was born in Wilburding and he invented the restaurant sandwich.
During the depression. His brothers Dick and Stanley later joined him.
The Primanny's opened the restaurant at the corner of Smallman

(37:19):
in eighteenth the original one which still stands today.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
I do love that. That's the Permannis to go to.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
With the passing of Stanley Primanny in the early seventies
and John in seventy four, Dick decided to sell the
business to Jim Patrinos. That's who I was thinking of
in the seventies. Okay, so it was originally a Primanny. Yes,
and they should be on the Walk of Fame. I
agree with you on that, all right. Coming up a
little bit later on this morning, big cat guy Junker,

(37:48):
he should be on the Walk of Fame with Stan
savergn It should be standing guy, love the Star, Love
the Avenue, Yes, exactly, yes. And also we'll raise our
algorithms for you a little bit later on this morning.
And Abbey has a full news report when we come back.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Hollywood is suffering from slop face and robot teachers are
coming to schools.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
How about Gen Rm Floyd Harry Clapton.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
You complained that that'd be cool.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
You should feel proud you help make this, You build
the menu, run the electric lunch with your requests.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
I See You Wait
