she's the guy Lounge against the Machine. Yeah, okay, yeah Richard.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
He's what's great is when he calls out people for
a solo, like, uh, well, he calls out this one
guy all the time.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
He goes Bobby.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Yeah, he's been in a bunch of movies too, like
he's done little Richard Cheese and Lounge against the Mischine
is such a funny name.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
He's been at it for a long time now.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
I can't remember everything that was on that record, but
I know he did Closer from Nine Inch Nails.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
He did Yeah, he did some also that I don't
think would play now. But but we're just songs that
he sang in lounge style. There's no editorializing. He's just
like this is the song.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
He did the lego Batman movie and soundtrack, and he
did Batman Versus Superman also and Don of the Dead
from two thousand and four. He did Down with the Sickness.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Oh yeah, that's one of his hits.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, why did you leave the keys up on the table?
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Brandy Bellman and the DV Morning Show, This is uh,
Richard Cheese and lounge against the machine doing nookie.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Check one one two. I came into this world and
a rejeck.
Speaker 6 (01:25):
Look into these eyes, little see the size of these planes.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Dwelling on the past past, burning up my brain. Hot.
Everyone that burns has to learn from the pain. Hey,
I think.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
About the day my girl he ran away with my pain.
When the fellas come a plane.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Like a chump hay, like a chump hay like uh
chump hay. I did it all for the dookies. Come on,
the dookies, come on.
Speaker 7 (01:54):
So you think that.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Cookie standing up your under Yeah, stack it.
Speaker 8 (02:01):
There you go, all right.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
He was about to say, Bobby he did wap recently.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
No really, yeah, why know he's a big act in
La Joe.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Did you ever run into Richard Cheese?
Speaker 9 (02:14):
I have no, he never been into Richard Richard Cheese,
But I've enjoyed him on this show a bunch on
this show. Well, you guys play him a lot. Never
really yeah, never.
Speaker 10 (02:27):
This is a down with the sickness. This is from
the record, the movie.
Speaker 11 (02:43):
A lot of these songs.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
He just doesn't they're in there there yet. And then
Richard Cheese just does.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
I don't know the words done with sickness. I'll be
honest with you, but I would have thought.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Nobody, come on, get down with the sickness.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
No body nerfict and he's got your news right now.
I hope that dumped.
Speaker 11 (03:04):
I hope it did too.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
News this Hour brought to you by Keystone Basement Systems
Wet Basement Keystone Basementsystems dot Com. It's partly sunny, very
hot today, but wildfire smoke will create unhealthy air quality
and poor visibility at times.
Speaker 11 (03:20):
It's going to be high of ninety three.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Okay, So we were starting the show with this, we
got maybe butt cracked, I think by somebody else's information
that it wasn't happening today.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
You mean somebody in our building was completely wrong.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
No, all cats, spectacularly wrong, in all.
Speaker 12 (03:40):
Cats, calcularly wrong. To a Pittsburgh All Bridge explosion. Not today.
Bridge explosion, not today.
Speaker 5 (03:52):
But it seems like all of the other news outlets
are reporting that.
Speaker 11 (03:56):
Yes, it is today.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
The demolition was postponed after eight last night, but apparently
it is supposed to occur today, which is Thursday. They
did not provide a time, however, but a crowd of
two hundred people gathered Wednesday evening at the sumrset at
Frick Park residential development for a front row view of
the bridge demolition. Some stood on a stone wall for
(04:19):
a better view. The crowds assembled around the construction site.
They soon dispersed after the news spread by word of mouth.
Speaker 11 (04:27):
I like this quote.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
It's a bummer, but I came over here because I
had so much fun getting together with the people for
Big Boy last weekend, said Robert Malaise, who had been
playing the ukulele, saying I had to practice it anyway,
but sometimes it's fun to practice in public a little.
So that guy brought a ukulele to the bridge explosion
last night, bummer for him.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Randy, you missed out. I could tell you wanted to
be there.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Nothing I'd like more than somebody who foists their ukulele on.
Speaker 11 (04:58):
Me when the bridge I just demolished.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Pen Dot's contractors will plant nine two hundred and fifty
trees and shrubs once the bridge is open, including over
a dozen native species like white fur elderberry and American holly.
The former vegetation was struggling with vines and invasive species,
so starting fresh might come with a silver lining. Okay,
YEA great all right, think back to the last several
(05:25):
decades of movie stars. They tended to have pretty unique looks,
like Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone, Meryl Streep, Nick Cage, Christopher Walken,
Samuel Jackson, Sandra Bullock. There was a time when celebrities
didn't all share a certain look.
Speaker 11 (05:40):
But a writer at the Hollywood Reporter.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
Thinks that that's changing, and today's stars all have a
sameness to them. The writer calls it instagram face or
slop face. And here's where the blame lies, he says, quote.
The homogenization of Hollywood beauty standards is the result of
decisions by the gatekeepers of stardom, as well as by
stars themselves, who urge plastic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, and dermatologists
(06:06):
to achieve on trend looks that they hope will benefit
or extend their careers.
Speaker 11 (06:11):
Some of them might be our.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Fault, as our rude social media comments push celebrities to
change their looks. Because the writer somewhere in here calls
Rachel McAdams brave for keeping her beauty marks.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
Yeah, we've really got to stop using that word in
terms of anything to do with celebrity.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Brave brave.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I don't disagree. I also think that this has something.
This is something that has always happened. It's just that
the common look in face of the late fifties, sixties
celebrity and movie star.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Was a glamorous look.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
But if you look at those pictures, like, you know,
there's that famous picture of Sophia Urn and Jane Mansfield
and they're sitting next to each other and Sophil Luran's
looking over to Iraq like yeah, and if you look
at both of their they like they look like they
could be sisters, Like their hair is the same and
their make up, their face, like.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I think that's always been a thing.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
It's just that the thing now is everybody looks at
entertainment through their phone and through their apps, and so
people are trying to achieve that look just walking around,
whereas they used to try to achieve the on a
big movie screen look.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah, does that resonate at all or no?
Speaker 11 (07:35):
It definitely does.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
It's just like we don't even see stars that have
less than perfect teeth, you know, which I think is
important for film. You need characters, right, you need people
that represent something that looks like real life.
Speaker 11 (07:51):
But people don't have bald spots anymore.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
They don't have big noses, they don't have just like
something or a BMI over thirty.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
Yeah, like Gene Hackman could not be a movie star
today the way he was when he started the French Connection.
They just don't make movies like he wouldn't be Batman.
G MacMan is Batman with a gut is hilarious, you
know what I mean? Like they just like Watermouth Owl.
There's no movie he's in. No, that's true, that is true.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Slap Face would be the great name for a villain
and a Dick Tracy reboot.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, We're got you, slap Face.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Did you ever watch the Dick Tracy movie that Warren
Baty did not recently, but as a kid it was on.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I watched it as a kid.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
I've not gone back and watched it, and I saw
someone posting about rewatching it and just how crazy the.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Entire thing is. You forget Madonna's in that, Oh I
did not know.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
Yeah, and she was also very at the height of
her willing to do anything for art. So apparently it
is just a very cut, not quite Popeye level of crazy.
But when you watch it now, it's like, how did
they do this, and there's a ton of stars. Isn't
that like al Pacino, Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman and Madonna.
Speaker 11 (09:10):
When you say how did they do this? You mean
because it's ridiculous and bad? Or because like, yes, we're
doing something pioneering.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
No, because it's bad.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Oh like the Dick Van Dykes in it. Glenn Headley,
Kathy Bates is also in it. Paul Servina dude from
nineteen ninety. I might have to go back and watch
that one.
Speaker 13 (09:35):
All right.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
If your kid isn't having nightmares about robots yet, they
might if they go to this school. The Salamonca City
School District in western New York will deploy a new
kind of teacher to greet students this fall, a full
on humanoid robot. A robot named Sally will not replace
the classroom teacher, but it's programmed to provide learning support
(09:56):
to both students and educators. So Sally will have a
life with silicon skin and long brown hair. She'll be
stationary in a seated position, but we'll have a range
of upper body movements and facial expressions.
Speaker 14 (10:15):
Oh oh oh oh oho oho.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
If it's in Salamanica, it'll probably also be a slot machine.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Uh, Sally, the robot won't use the students' names.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
That might be due to privacy concerns. So the kids
will have to address themselves with a number, so they'll
be able to say, Hi, Sally, I'm student number one, two, three, four,
And then Sally would be like, Okay, we were talking
about this yesterday. Do you want to continue that conversation?
Speaker 1 (10:45):
I just love touching them.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
No blugger blogger back in dump water on her.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
She can also support the teachers by interjecting if the
teacher for gets where they're at in a lesson plan
or accidentally skips over something.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
I'm sure they'll love that. That won't be annoying for teachers.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
Nope, and Sally is costing the district around fifty seven
thousand dollars, which is discounted from the normal price of
ninety five thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Cash me outside. How about that? Sally's had enough with
the kids? What's the Yeah, I think they needed to
murder that person, not interjections you should have. I mean
that's grosser than something I would do.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
I'm not sure why they need to have a robot
as an assistant.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, maybe give the kids some school lunches.
Speaker 11 (11:42):
I have an idea. Yeah, they're not starving when they're learning.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yeah, or pay a teacher. No, doo, I do that.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
What if we take the devices out of their hands
for every single thing.
Speaker 13 (11:53):
That they do?
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Yeah, Well, isn't there a Pennsylvania law they're considering about
getting the devices.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Certain school districts have responded to the research that that
is not a good learning tool for kids, and it's
not even a good test taking tool.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
So like using iPads in interface like that.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Yeah, like everybody gets a chromebook as soon as like
fourth grade starts, like I've already gotten you. I already
have the email from school saying like hey, time to
pick up your kids chromebook.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
For the year. Wow.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
But they do so much work homeworks on the devices.
They're using them during the day, when they're taking tests,
they're using them, and their research is just showing that
there's some element of attentiveness that they're not getting from
kids because they have access to that. But that also
some people learn repetition just by writing things down or
(12:47):
just by listening in a focused way, and that's what
the devices are starting to hinder. So certain school districts
have decided to take it out in advance of any
kind of law or legislation with it.
Speaker 11 (13:00):
I think they should all.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
I would love for them to go as a parent,
just I know that Edie complains about even taking tests
on yeah, on a screen, but I think about that too,
Like you know, when you're taking standardized tests and you
you know, have your number two pencil when you're filling
in the circles and everything, you have to think about
things a little bit more. When you're doing it on
a screen, you screw up and it's like, no, that
question's gone, can't fix it by m hm.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
You would think it would be less expensive also, so
if it's something that is more effective and less expensive,
why wouldn't we embrace that.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
And I don't have a problem with like computer classes
where they're getting their hands on it, because it's like
you don't want them to walk into society and be.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Like, I don't know how to type.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
So it's just like I still want them to have
access to it, but maybe more controlled.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
What you said about the test taking Abbey is like,
as someone who as a student who never knew the material,
you always could get two extra answers correct on the test.
When you would go back and contextually it was answered later. Yes,
but to not be able to do that on a
digital exam.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, but screw up the curve. Yes, that's a good point.
Prevent me from getting the D I need.
Speaker 9 (14:11):
Yeah, you can't remember, like there's too many c's. It's
got to be a B.
Speaker 11 (14:16):
Yeah, yes, exactly, Yeah, all right.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
The D I need by Ted Ted Whistle story all right.
Speaker 11 (14:27):
Christopher Nolans.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
The Odyssey is looking to get off to a huge
start at the box office this weekend. The film is
expected to make between ninety and one hundred million dollars
in its debut. If it hits one hundred million, it
would be the third to do so this year, after
Toy Story five and the Super Mario Galaxy movie.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
The movie is the.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
First ever to be entirely shot with IMAX cameras and
will benefit financially from premium format options, including seventy millimeters screens.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
I mean, this looks so good to me, and I
have I've not been excited about a movie in a
long time. But the fact that it's Nolan and Matt Demon,
who I think is probably at the height of his
powers right now, you know, and he talked about Matt
Demon did about how Ben Affleck had such an emotional
(15:16):
reaction to seeing The Odyssey and it was like the
most gratifying thing that has ever happened in his career.
Speaker 15 (15:22):
Yeah, forty five year friendship and we've been through a
whole hell of a lot together and he's, you know,
one of the great loves of my life.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
I will say about Ben and.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
What was his reaction, By the way, when he watched
the movie, what did he say?
Speaker 15 (15:37):
I got a phone call from him that I think
I've been waiting forty five years to get. He didn't
stop talking for an hour. It was like he'd seen
the movie twenty times. He got absolutely everything, every detail.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
He just he somehow soaked it all in.
Speaker 15 (15:53):
And one viewing, you know that reaction and my wife's reaction.
And then my daughter Isabella, who saw it, is one
of my daughters who've seen it so far.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
She said, Dad, I'm proud of you.
Speaker 15 (16:06):
Now, this is a kid who I made a movie
called The Great Wall once and she calls it The Wall,
and we're we're had friends over for dinner. She keeps
talking about this movie The Wall, and I'm like, Isabella,
it's called The Great Wall, and she's like, Dad, no,
there's nothing great about that movie.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
So she is a very.
Speaker 15 (16:21):
Tough critic, and so so those reactions kind of.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
I feel like the movie's already coming to you.
Speaker 16 (16:28):
One.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Yeah, you one that he's talking to Zendeia there, zendaiya whatever.
Speaker 17 (16:33):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
It's so strange the way that movies are promoted now.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
There's like these it's almost like a pop up podcast
and they just put the stars together somewhere and then
they they don't need to go on the Today Show,
they don't need to do all this stuff. They can
just put out videos that'll go viral of them controlling
the narrative. And this is happening in all forms of entertainment, sports, movies.
Speaker 11 (16:55):
I think it's having in music a lot.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Oh yeah, definitely right.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
I was just talking to Tad before the show started
about a band that I like that has no record label,
basically has a distribution deal and a publicist that just
kind of tells them what to do everything else they
film it, they needs to do whatever, and they're almost
doing better, it seems than the kind of artists that
(17:20):
would be like, oh yeah, no, we have a record label,
we owe them seventy five thousand dollars for that music
video we kind of didn't want to make.
Speaker 11 (17:26):
Yeah, so you're just not beholden to anybody. But why
wouldn't you do it that way?
Speaker 9 (17:32):
I thought for sure he was gonna say I've been
waiting forty five years to get a phone call where
Ben Affleck didn't talk about himself for an hour.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
In Stupid Love Life.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
I know, it is funny when Ben Affleck's like, yeah,
you know, I'm a real private person and I just
don't want to even be a part of the whole
Hollywood machine.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
It's like, I.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Don't know, man, every decision you've made kind of tells
me something different.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
The problem with the movies the Odyssey for me is
I'm not gonna see it in theaters, and then your
movie snob friends are gonna be like, oh, you're not
gonna see it in imax, but I don't even watch it? Then, right,
Oh you can't watch it if you're not gonna watch
it in imax.
Speaker 11 (18:12):
Yeah, what's you're gonna use your TV sound?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
It's not like you're gonna read the book, all.
Speaker 5 (18:25):
Right, It's partly sunny. Wildfire smoke will create unhealthy air
quality and poor visibility today. It's I have ninety three.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Oh so there's that. Yeah, it's just a little wildfire
smoke out there, no big deal.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Oh there are fires out here.
Speaker 8 (18:38):
Nothing.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
This is a this is a cigarette later.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Have you seen any of the footage of these Ontario fires.
It's it's insane. The I just retweeted one. If you
want to check out at DV Randy that a remarkable
Look at that, Joey b look at this stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
I mean Canada. Yeah, okay, I think there was some
fires around here. No, it's the smoke from coming down.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
There's a there's a video that went viral of a
train that became engulfed in flames. It is terrifying looking
and the train had to turn around. It had to stop,
come to a stop. You've seen it, right, Tad.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Yeah, the train had to turn around once it came
to a stop, go the other direction.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
They can only get so far.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
They had to run on foot three miles to safety
as the flames overtook the train. Who like it is
new joke. So it's it's definitely like that, Joe. You
got to look at the videos. It's like coming across
the lake and it's it's covering all of like you know, Ohio, Pennsylvania,
(19:53):
New York, down in the DC, Maryland. It's significant and
it looks like it's gonna go through Friday. So anybody
that has, you know, compromised situations with breathing might want
to consider that, which is a drag because you know,
it's right when it's never on Monday, it's always like
(20:14):
right before the weekend.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
By the way, you can't go outside this weekend.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
Yeah, I used my puffer this morning.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Yeah, they're saying n ninety five masks in the area.
They have you can go search the map on like
weather dot Com even has them, and they have different colors.
And Pittsburgh kind of just escapes the really extreme stuff
and a lot of the models.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
So hopefully that remains the case.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
And you want have to walk outside with a mask on?
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Do you remember, I don't think, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Were you with us when we went to Kennywood that
one time and we had to go inside.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
I think it was right before you joined the show.
We were doing a.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Kennywood show and it was supposed to be outside. It
was twenty twenty three, okay, Yeah, me and we had
to move it all inside because it was unsafe to
be outside. And then I was like, well, this was
a bad day to pick for our Kennywood day because
it's hazardous to just be outside without a mask.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah, where to even go inside at Kennywood?
Speaker 1 (21:11):
The old mill? Uh yeah yeah right, hideaway thirty times.
We're in Noah's Ark. We just basically all piled in there.
Speaker 11 (21:19):
That actually would be kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yeah, floor shaking.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, guys, I'm having a seizure. Mike's got your sports.

He's coming back to the lost figure the Morning Show.
Here's Mike Persuda with three takes that resonates.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
With your three takes.
Speaker 8 (22:56):
Take number one. The thrill of victory.
Speaker 20 (22:59):
England c colapsed at the confluence of bad tactics and
coming up small in the biggest moments. But the British
pulling another York Town should in no way diminish the
absolute magic enacted by Argentina in general and Lionel Messi
in particular. Yesterday in Atlanta, pick an adjective, any adjective
brilliant seems to fit the appropriate vernacular of the pitch.
Speaker 8 (23:22):
It still won't do Argentina and Messi justice.
Speaker 20 (23:26):
The old man still has it, and he led his
team back from the brink with a relentlessness that was
as compelling as it was championship caliber. What was on
display in a nutshell is what we love about sports,
even soccer.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Take number two's gotta get a little shotage.
Speaker 20 (23:45):
Take number two, buck up, Buttercup closer to home. Delayed
reactions to Team USA's four to one Sweet sixteen loss
to Belgium are pouring salt in the wound as the
World Cup crescendos to conclusion. Goaltender Matt Freese, who contributed
an unimaginable gaff on the way to what became an
embarrassing US exit, told ESPN the subsequent criticism has been
(24:08):
quote difficult for me to hear unquote, and that it
quote hurts my heart unquote, that people don't know how
badly the US wanted to succeed, and Falarin Belogan told
CBS the quote outside noise unquote generated by his on
again off against suspension was quote hard to avoid unquote
(24:30):
If the US really wants to do better next time,
perhaps the first step toward redemption would be to find
guys who aren't baby pooh Soft.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Baby Pooh Soft was a great Korean pitcher, and.
Speaker 8 (24:47):
They're also going to be in a coffee house tomorrow.
Speaker 20 (24:50):
Take number three perspective on a phenom as Merlin Valdez
is at three h nine with ten homers, twenty seven
rbi and a one point zero four.
Speaker 8 (24:58):
OPS through his twenty eight games.
Speaker 20 (25:01):
Impressive numbers by any comparison, yes, but for context with
the potential to knock your socks off, consider Jordan Alvarez
hit three twenty seven with ten homers, thirty two RBI
and a one point zero eighty five OPS in his
first twenty eight games in the majors. Alvarez, now in
his eighth big league campaign, might win a triple crown
(25:23):
this season. Yeah, it's a miniscule sample size. I get that,
But we can still dream, can't.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
We gonna have to.
Speaker 20 (25:33):
And by the way, I hate ripping the US soccer
players who had the fortitude to wear the jersey and
represent our country, but with that comes responsibility during the
game and after the game, agreed, we got beat we'll
try to do better next time.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, the excuse making makes me puke.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
You didn't like all of the the the criticisms being
hurled at Polisic, No, it's.
Speaker 20 (26:00):
Fine with it. That's it's part of it. You know,
if you want to walk out on the wire, you
might fall off. I respect your fortitude, but you got
to handle it.
Speaker 9 (26:10):
It's like women's sports. They don't want to be criticized.
Then all of a sudden, it's the problem you want
to be. If you don't think the basketball team would
have been excoriated, I think that's a.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Big word for me.
Speaker 9 (26:20):
Good if they lost, Yeah, you know, hey you're lost,
you're gonna get criticized.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Boy, Caitlyn Clark got absolutely destroyed again last night and
there was no call. I don't know why. They're just
all beating the hell out of her. It's kind of
funny to watch Madden's got a theory. Well, I know
Madden's theory, but two reasons. Yeah, I know, I think
it's I and I don't know that either of those
is the majority reason why. So much as I think
it's just like there's an entitlement that they hate that
(26:47):
they perceive, whether it's true or not, but it seems
to me they're they're shooting the Golden goose.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
I do agree that.
Speaker 8 (26:54):
You know.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Look, you know, it wasn't like people loved Larry Bird.
Speaker 8 (26:57):
You know.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Oh they sure did well. No, I mean in the
league playing against him.
Speaker 9 (27:03):
Oh no, I have most of my algorithm is of
blackfellas saying how great Larry Bird was.
Speaker 13 (27:08):
I know.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
But when they're like, yeah, Sean Camp and all those guys,
you know, talking about how Larry would like say to
them basically like I'm dropping thirty on YouTube. Oh yeah,
it's got the greatest stories. Yeah yeah, well that's now.
Back then it was pretty physical. If those guys were
as physical in today's NBA as they were in the
eighties and nineties, people would die because everybody is this
(27:29):
insane physical specimen in the NBA.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Now, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (27:32):
Bad boys were pretty physical, I.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Know, but I'm saying, you know, Lambier, Kermit Washington was
pretty okay, Maurice Lucas from Shenley, he could be on
the Walk of Fame, I know, but you get my point, Like,
these dudes now are monsters. And if someone Kermit Washington,
somebody in today's NBA.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
I'm just saying the training has these guys, you know,
head to toe muscle in year round working out. You know,
Larry Bird worked on his farm in the offseason and
you know, shot free throws.
Speaker 9 (28:04):
He heard his bad he heard his back ass folding
his driveway.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
His mom's yeah, like yeah, but his dad got a tractor.
Speaker 8 (28:12):
Oh wait, that was in Blue Chips.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Okay, when are the Buckoes back at.
Speaker 8 (28:18):
It Friday in Cleveland?
Speaker 9 (28:20):
All right, you need it so bad, Ran, You're watching
Caitlin Clark eighlights right now.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Wildfires in WNBA. It's all.
Speaker 20 (28:27):
I got a little more perspective on Argentina in the
knockout rounds. Beat cape Verdi in the one hundred and
eleventh minute, that got the game, eventual game winning goal
in the hundred and eleventh minute. Against Egypt, it was
in the ninety second minute, against Switzerland it was in
the hundred and twelfth minute, and against England it was
in the ninety second minute. Argentina has not led after
(28:51):
ninety minutes in a knockout game. Wow, and Argentina's playing
for the World Cup Sunday.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Amazing.
Speaker 9 (28:56):
Do you guys feel like I mean I do, like,
I I really love. I enjoy soccer a lot. That
Messy is just so good. It's like when people would
watch like Lemieux, like you don't have to know much
to know that guy's the best.
Speaker 20 (29:09):
Yeah he was like mess that good. He was going
one on three yeah yeah, and winning more than he lost.
And he's such a short guy.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I mean that's you know, yeah, yeah, but it's just
weird to see somebody that diminutive out there dominating. You know,
there's not too many, you know, he's like the muggsy
Bogues of soccer.
Speaker 8 (29:27):
There's a lot of big guys in soccer though, right.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Bigger now, but yeah, I mean the horse from Norway side,
that dude, the Viking.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Yeah go look at Ghana's entire teams, just like a
bunch of Redwoods walking around. Man last night on the SPS,
which you know, it's like then the Deer of the
Sports Year is All Star Game in SP's is just like,
al right, this week sucks.
Speaker 21 (29:54):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
They had Mike Tyson come out last night. He issued
an award to show Aotani. He's on stage with DJ
Khaled and Jake Paul. Uh So that's that's quite a
trio Tyson, Jake Paul and DJ khaled Uh and he
gives us a word to Otani and listen at the
end when he hears Jake Paul said Otani couldn't be here,
(30:15):
but he says thanks, and and Tyson realizes Otani is
a guy.
Speaker 8 (30:21):
And he and fb war goes to.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Show a Tani show.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Hey could not be here tonight.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
He sends his gratitude and appreciation at ESPN and everyone
who voted for him.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
He's, Oh my god, he's a guy. Oh he thought
he was.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
It was a cartoon, Abby. You'll have your news coming
up at the top of the hour.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
A medium talks about everything they wish people knew about
the afterlife.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Big Cat coming up at eight forty five this morning,
and when we come back, we'll rate our algorithms.
Speaker 22 (31:05):
On DVE, Tyson turns your car into a sonic playground
at every weekday afternoon, He's got a reloaded cut from
the DVE Morning Show, Sports and a Workforce commercial free
rock block at three afternoons with Chad Tyson on DV.
Speaker 18 (31:23):
The newest exclusive slot in bed MGM Casinos lineup techs.
Speaker 23 (31:33):
The DV Morning Show Randy Baumont along with Mike Persuda,
Abby Krisner, Dad Whizzle and our buddy Joe Barnick live
in studio with us this morning, and it's time for
segment we call rating the Alghibet.
Speaker 14 (31:45):
We we're right, We're all right.
Speaker 24 (31:57):
So you know, this is a little paring into each
other's respective algorithms to see what the tech bros think
we all should respectively be watching.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Mike, let's start with you. What's in your algorithm this week?
Speaker 20 (32:12):
You know my algorithm must know that I think Rocky
is one of the greatest movies ever made because it
sent me the trailer for a new movie which I
had no idea was coming, called I Play Rocky and
it is about the behind the scenes story of the
making of Rocky One.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
How far behind the schedule are they?
Speaker 8 (32:37):
They're not.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
About this movie.
Speaker 17 (32:42):
It's about having a boy for yourself, great AUTI it's
about going to distance. I put my hard soul on
the page. If I'm not willing to live up to
what I wrote, and what's the point.
Speaker 8 (32:59):
So leaving me?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
I thought you say you could box allright, let go
of the Hey I'm ann act my god, damn it.
Speaker 8 (33:17):
You always like all right?
Speaker 4 (33:22):
I mean a couple of things. Why was that audio
so awful? It came on my Twitter and I sent
it to Jake because that was the.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Best we could do.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
The second thing is the dude who's playing stallone. I mean, hey, Romano,
you never all right, you said your cold box, you
never go full stallone.
Speaker 11 (33:48):
It's it's full stallone that might type cast him.
Speaker 20 (33:51):
Yeah, you're excited for it, though, I know very Yeah,
not excited for any movie as much as any movie
since the Springsteen movie.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Since the making of the making of the Springsteen Movie.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
It's my wheelhouse and it is your wheelhoush Abby, what's
in your algorithm?
Speaker 11 (34:04):
I got a music one today.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
Eighteen in Life from skid Row is a song you'd
certainly hear quite a bit on DVE. But did you
ever consider the lyrics? Should Ricky have gotten life?
Speaker 25 (34:18):
He fired six shots into the wind and then a
child blew a child away. He didn't mean to kill
his friend. That was accidental. That's manslaughter, that's not murder one,
that's not capital murder. He would never get life. He
had the wrong attorney. If Ricky got a real attorney,
that is an easy one to walk any any public
(34:42):
pretender could get him off with at least manslaughter. In
no way in hell is Ricky getting life without parole.
I don't know why that just dawned on me. Ricky
should This is deep, Ricky should.
Speaker 24 (35:00):
Have gotten fifteen years tops tops.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
I mean, it's a good point.
Speaker 11 (35:07):
It's a very good point.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
He's a good point, Tad. What is in your algorithm
this week?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Remember when celebrities used to do PSAs in character is
their most uh you know, their most common role? Well,
the algorithm has a very low opinion of me and
wouldn't even give me the full PSA. But here's Henry
Winkler as Arthur Fonzarelli with a very important message.
Speaker 16 (35:28):
Did you know what Your doctor needs your parents' permission
to examine you, to touch your private parts? Oh yeah,
yeah yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
You can't just touch him?
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Rich did that talk to give you your parish permission
before he.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Fundled your fundel release? You know, sit on it, Joey B.
What's in your algorithm this week?
Speaker 8 (36:03):
Well?
Speaker 9 (36:03):
You know, I have a love beer commercials all the time.
I love vintage beer commercials, and I have a classic
Iron City one which kind of hits home right now.
Because times might be financially tough for a few of
us out there, and it has a little bit of math.
Speaker 15 (36:19):
My nephew, the stockbroker, every time he sees me, he
tells me to buy bye today, he asks me.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
He says, hey, unk, what's your best deal on beer?
Speaker 15 (36:27):
So I tell him invest in the case of Iron
City and sixteen ounce returnable bottles.
Speaker 17 (36:32):
You get a third more beer without spending a third
more money.
Speaker 15 (36:36):
To me, that's a terrific way to fight inflation and
enjoy it too.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
So he says, iron City returnables.
Speaker 19 (36:42):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
And you know what I tell him?
Speaker 20 (36:45):
By Hey, yes, does that guy sound like Richie Aprile
a little bit?
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Yeah, it's the jacket.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Ok guy in Essex County. This one is from my
algorithm and I like this. It's one of those you know,
women think men are having all of these, you know,
conversations about you know, important things or how they're screwing
around whatever, and it's like what guys are actually talking
about when they get together.
Speaker 21 (37:17):
If you're a guy and you have sex with a
female robot, but the female robot is being controlled by
another guy, are you gay? But the robot looks like
a girl? Like, let's say the robot looks like a girl, like,
are you gay or not? Only if you know it's
(37:38):
a guy, all right.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
I really like that. So basically it's like a Schrodinger's
gay if it's being controlled by a guy. I don't know,
I think it's gay, do you?
Speaker 4 (37:56):
I mean, but we're not talking robot like you know
ten like like.
Speaker 7 (38:02):
The ones that are silicony ye insane, really authentic looking
real dolls, except it's being controlled by your guy with
a joystick.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
What if it's not your buddy who's an or someone
who's very into it, it's a guy whose job it
is to control sex robots, And for him it's like
I'm here to fix the dryer. That's not that he
doesn't get enjoyment out of it.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
I don't know the answer to that, but I'm here
to cut the grass.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
The funny thing is no discussion about what it means
to have sex with a robot, you know, because everyone
knows that's coming sooner than later. Yeah, it's like hair transplants.
We have to just like just accept accept it. Then
everyone's just gonna go in that direction. There will be
no more stigma.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Uh, there you go. We rated our algorithms for you.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
Radio.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
All right, Abby, what do you got? Coming up here?
Speaker 5 (39:04):
A medium talks about everything that they wish people knew
about the afterlife.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Big Kat coming up eight forty five here on TV.
Speaker 13 (39:11):
This is how we get back at the Greedy Jackals
and sales.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Week Days at ten with Michelle.
Speaker 13 (39:17):
She brings you a workforce commercial free rock block on
