it does not speak well.

Yeah, and when you look back, obviously not comparing these
teams to the Cup teams, when you see those Cup teams,
it was just rebound after you could see the difference
between a Cup team and a first round team that
goes out. I mean, they just weren't ready. They just

Philly stacks up against the Hurricanes and they're supposedly a

talked about, they had that extra gear and the Penguins
did not.

see some of those guys like Majroorty. You gotta bring
him up and see what he can do.

I said before the series that the Penguins experience would
would win on. I predicted them to win in in
in six and it took me about a peer eve
to have to say, Okay, I'm wrong. This is a
lot harder than I thought it would be, and the
experience for the Penguins too much translated into just being old.

I mean you when you ask fans, is the time
to move on? What I think about fans when it
comes to the Penguins is I don't know if we

I would say, just based off the age factor that
you just alluded to, I would say the biggest down
was the power play. You know it just when you're
playing again.

Not the biggest, but a factor, no question.

I think there were only four power plays all last
night though, Like that's the one thing that debate has
always been, Jeff, because there's fewer penalties in the playoffs,
and there certainly were in this series. That the power
play either means less because there's less chances or more
because converting them means more. I'm not sure which is correct.

I would think it means more. But yeah, the Penguin's
power play, I think it was three for seventeen or
three for eighteen, and just as important when it failed,
it it actually gave the Flyer's momentum the fly I
bet the Flyers had more shorthanded chances than the Penguins
had power play chances on at least half those power plays.

Right, And I think the big thing too, And that's
the big thing with bring a balcon back. He's a
huge detriment to that power play. And we talk about
his skating. His shot has made it bad. He cannot shoot,
and he and he.

Knows that, Jeff, he has no faith in it, like

That's the thing that's my biggest argument against bringing him back.
Even I would concede him like the second line left
wing spot, you know, with Chinakoff and whoever. Maybe kindall
should move there. But I can't put him on the
top power play. And he would absolutely expect to be
on the top power play and be pissed if he wasn't,
and be a problem if he wasn't.

Don I think depends downfall. To answer your first question,
was the severe lack of appreciation for how good the
Flyers blue line is.

My appreciation for their blue line extends to Sandheim and
Risk the line and who were matched against the sid line.
They both did brilliantly. The rest of them they were okay.

Wasn't at all like twenty twelve, when it was just

Although it is odd, isn't it that the timeline of
this series followed exactly the timeline of that series. Philly
wins three, Pittsburgh wins two, Philly wins one. But you're right,
the scores were much higher. I think this was better hockey.
I think this was a better series, don't you.

Yes, But what I liked about it is I felt
like we could win because in that twenty twelve season,
when Drew came out and laid that big hit on Sid,
I thought, ah, this were in trouble. But as the
game went on, I thought, Ooh, I think the Pens
might get this one.

But I tht drew hit didn't impress me at all.
Who'd he ever beat? There were hits like that administered
in this series. I thought the Penguins could win then.
I think if that hadn't been Flowers, one huge, horrible
blow up series, I think the Penguins had the better
team then, and I'm not sure they didn't have the
better team.

hockey game of the series. As far as the thuggery

Flyers never led in any of the last three games
until the overtime goal last night. And when you when
you trail or are tied, and especially later in the series,
when the other team is mounting a comeback, it's harder

Yeah, and I thought, I also thought, and I never
thought I'd seen on him, But to see that extra

He plays great for Latvia, he played great. Is that

in the way Shiloffs played these last three games, but

this series wasn't for a lack of chances, but their
shot selection. Like one trend I saw is they were
shooting high on Vladar from further out and shooting low
on him from in tight when really did the opposite.

I agree, And they never put the pucks in his feet,
never got second chances. You're you're totally right. There's a
lot of things that went to them not scoring well,
actually only scoring eleven goals in six games. But what
you're describing as one of them, I didn't see the
wisdom and trying to blow the puck over a six
foot five goalie shoulder.

it last night was the quasi two on one with
Maulkin and he shot at far pad and the rebound
