Speaker 1 (00:00):
On the mid Canterbury Vintage Car Club. Colin Sweetman, Hello,

(00:03):
good morning. I can't believe. Well you're back with this show.
And I hit the details in front of me just
moments ago and now I've lost them, but you've got them.
Here we are Show and Community Day VT and Z
on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Correct and along at West Street in the vtn Z grounds.
It's a year since we did the last one. And
yes you're right, it's the day after Valentine's Day. I
don't forget, so you can take someone along.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
If you forget about Saturday's occasion, then this is a
good way to make up for it, to come and
check out some cool cars. Do you know what's coming along?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yes, we've got our. We'll bring our old nineteen fifty
three hundred foot ladder of fire engine along Denis. That's
the Dennis.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Depending on the wind, we'll put the ladder up and
somewhere between one and one hundred feet.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
But we've got a collection of older cars, but in
modern cars. I know some Mustang's coming along them. Are
yours only one this time? Otherwise would be a shuttle service. Yeah,
but really we just want to encourage everyone to bring
something interesting along.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
So you don't really know until the day, no, because
people could just roll on up and what is it
five bucks? You can park up and there's a real
sort of I know we've mentioned this before, a real
sort of community and cambaraderie around these events too.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
There is it's a very relext show. It's not like
our Show and Shine where people bring their pride and joy.
If you want to bring something Moroateley ordinary, hey that's
fine too. But we do know that there are some
tractors coming to those who like tractors. The Mid Canterbury
Machinery Club that's around at the showgrounds are going to
bring a few tractors along. Yeah, so that'll be interesting

(01:41):
to have a look at something a little bit different.
But we hope that people will bring their norm and
shiny cars. But if they're not so shiny, that's fine.
People like just having a look at the range of
vehicles that's available.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, some great stories behind them I find too, That's
the bit I love. And then you're going to keep
people watered and fed.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
So we are VT and Z sponsoring a barbecue and
I think it's only used a couple of dollars for
sausage and all of that goes direct to the Cancer Society.
They also have a prize wheel and all the prizes
well in excess of what you pay, and every player
wins a price, so it's well worth having a skin loose.

(02:21):
You can't lose and you can win a warrant and
the warrants I think about eighty five dollars now, so
it's nat it's well worth a spin for five dollars
to win a free warrant.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Oh that's brilliant. You mentioned the barbecue funds, but all
the funds from the day going to the cancer.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Cell, direct to the Cancer Society. We don't touch the money.
Their volunteers are coming along, they'll collect the money. VT
and Z collect their money go straight to the Cancer Society.
So it's a great course. And we as a car club,
that's our charity of choice and we support them during
the yeir.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
You do a wonderful job of it. So five dollars
per vehicle to show and what is it to come
and have a lot.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Come and have a look just for old coin intonation.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Wow, that's some cheap entertainment. So that's happening on Sunday
from eleven am until two pm VT and Z, which
is on West Streets, just across the road from the
Fat Dark, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yes, that's exactly right easy.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
And as I knock on every piece of what I
can find, the weather is on the improve for you
as well.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
It looks on the improved so here. We're keeping our
fingers crossed on that one. But no, I'm sure it'll
be fine.

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
