From the News Talk Sedby newsroom. This is Newsfix. In
this update, it's now known two people died in a
Far North crash just after half past nine this morning.
A third person was critically injured when two cars collided
on Kaitaia Arbaroa Road. The road is expected to remain
closed for several more hours. Emergency services are currently attending

a boat crash near Arthur's Point in Queenstown. Fire An
emergency says a boat collided with rocks shortly after three
this afternoon. No one was trapped and fire and ambulance
crews have been assessing those involved. Wellington State Highway One
has reopened at the Terrace Tunnel after four cars collided
just before two this afternoon. Transporting New Zealand says this

week's weather related highway closures have been stressful for freight operators,

Highway One south of Kaikoda remains closed between Cheviot and
