this update, New Zealand and India are elevating their relationship
into a strategic partnership. The two countries' leaders have met
in Auckland as part of the Indian Prime Minister's twenty
four hour visit. The new partnership includes a goal of
doubling two way trade by twenty thirty and increasing maritime cooperation.

Prime Minister Chris Luxen says this commitment improves New Zealand's
profile and offers prosperity.

It will deepen our links and trade, investment, education, technology,
sport and tourism, and it will also enable closer cooperation
on defense and law enforcement.

Anti immigration protesters are gathered outside Spark Arena, where Indian
Prime Minister Mister Modi is appearing. Free Palestine protesters also
have a presence there, along with members of a group
called Kalistan and the International Socialists Organization. Police lines separate
the different groups and the protests so far remain peaceful.
Underway to restore access for flood stricken residents west of Blenham,

temporary vehicle access was restored on Tinsfield Road in Waihopei
Valley on Friday night, allowing access to about forty locals. However,
Marlborough District Council warns reinstating full access will take some time.
Marlborough Roads manager Wayne Oldfield says they now have to
rebuild the approach to the local bridge and that could
take a week. A suggestion employers consider factors beyond individual
