day news fix for Wednesday, the sixth of May. Unemployment
has fallen slightly in the first three months of this year.
Later stats n Z data shows the rate was five
point three percent of the March quarter, down from five
point four percent in the December quarter. With more Hair's

Economists had forecast the rate would land between five point
four and five point five percent. Job numbers have been increasing,
particularly in healthcare, in public administration and in otago in Canterbury,
but the workforce has also been growing fast with more

Police are launching an investigation after they found a body
in Northland's kai Koi overnight. They were called to Napepeto
