news fix for Friday, the sixteenth of January. Met Service
has lifted all severe thunderstorm warnings, but an orange rain
alert remains for eastern Bay of Plenty. A line of
thunderstorms has been battering the upper and central North Island
since last night. It's brought heavy to torrential bouts of rain,
