this update, a local state of emergency has been declared
and Hawks Bay's wirraw as heavy rain batters the region.
An orange heavy rain warning is in place for the
ranges of Hawk's Bay north of Napier. Jordan Dunn reports.

Whid Or Mayor Craig Little made the emergency declaration at
eleven last night following significant flooding and rising river levels
affecting homes and businesses. An emergency mobile alert was sent
to residents of Outram Street, Grant Street, Kopoo Road, and
Apathu Street, telling them to evacuate. Wide or Wall Memorial
Hall is open to evacuees.

First Light Network shows hundreds of properties who are experiencing
unplanned power outages in Wyraw and Gisbon, a warning fuel
prices will climb again if the US and Iran continue
to exchange fire. Donald Trump has declared the ceasefire over.
Since the latest strikes, the global oil price for Brent
crude has jumped. Automobile Association fuel spokesperson Terry Collins says
