Yeah, that's definitely been quite cool. Obviously a few people
within New Zealand they've watched it or kept nine it
and made mention of it when I bumped the some
down the street. But you know it was awesome to
win it over there and get done and now time
to put the feed up a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Yeah, a great way to see Dave Rennie off on
this new career of his, knowing that he's got that
winning ingredient. I suppose that begs the question how much
pestering did you get from him about coming back to
the all back camp again.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
It was the first It was great to seend them off,
you know. When he came to the club, we finished
fifth and then we went third and then obviously won it.
So it was great to see them off in the
right way. And he had the first time he did.
I think he did a press conference with the New
Zealand he said, oh, sorry, I chuck your name out
there with it, but I just wanted to get them talking,
so I said, no worries, but yeah, who knows, We'll
see what happened in the future. I suppose they They

went pretty well to start off last week though, I thought,
especially the full pack they did.

Let us look at the forward pack your area of expertise.
There's been a couple of is in there, and one
of those is to provide He's coming in in the
five a jumper and this guy is magnificent, gets better
and better and better. He's looking to be the premiere
lock isn't he in that side? So great to see
him back on board again.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, it's great tooots back out there. Obviously, I think
it was cushion it was out with last week, which
is a shame, but it's good to see him out there.
And I thought also Sam Dowry played really well last week.
Now it's not easy preparing for a Test match, let
alone only having a week and a half for them
to prepare, so I thought it and all they performed
pretty well and it's great to see him playing with
some real optimism, that's for sure.

That's the phrase that he's using all the time, and
it's running rampant. Did he use that in Japan optimism?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Yeah?

I mean he's used that word and since he came
to the Chiefs when I went there in twenty twelve,
and obviously he went away to Europe and came back
to Japan. But he still wants to play that expensive
style of footy. And like you say, it's got everybody
talking about how exciting is to see the All Blacks
plane attack for you again, And you know, I think
it's people behind them.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
It is, I like brutal optimism. I'll just add something
to that because they've got the ability to have that
brutal side of their game, which was a hallmark, wasn't
it of All Black rugby for say lot so long.
I mean you were quite brute out there when you're
at your heyday. It's part of the physical domination. Surely
that's part part of what this team do.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, I think it goes hand in hand with Rens
and the way he likes to play with optimism. I
think you know, he saw Luke Jackson start at seven
and he runs thal physicality along with the others. And
you know, when you've got a four pack that's going
forward and could be brutal and physical and then also
playing with speed and skill. That's the type of game
plan that rencites to play and it's hard to stop
when they get it right.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Well, a Satiti comes into the site as well at
a blind side Peter like not there, but again another
absolute brute of a human.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yeah, I think you know you saw you saw at
the end of the chief season, the Super Rugby season,
how well he was playing for the Chiefs and he's
got a the attributes down there in terms of physicality
and skill sets and speed. So yeah, I'm looking forward
to seeing how he goes and getting the start this week.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Pretty exciting in the pack for a bloke called Anton
Segna Crazy Jenny. We all know about that, coming all
the way from Germany to try and become an all
Black and he's going to become an all Black. All
things going well and good named on the bench. He's
had a stunning year. What do you make of what
he provides.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Brady, Yeah, it's awesome. I think it's you know, it's
a story about like Fabian Holland, isn't that We've got
guys as teenagers or kids come to New Zealand with
a dream to pay the All Blacks and to see
them fulfill it. That's what's sports all about, I suppose,
inspiring the next generation. So yeah, hopefully it gets gets
out there this weekend and it will be another awesome
story to add to the all Black jersey. But you know,
(06:55):
I didn't watch a whole lot of the Blues across
Super Rugby, but from what I saw, like in terms
of breakdown and he's an absolute menace in their slowing
ball and getting his hands in terms of jackling and
carry the ball pretty well as well. So I think
it adds another dynamic with loose wall players. Now you've
got Wallace on one side and potentially have on the
other side of the scrumm. It's two pretty handy loose forwards,
that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Did you play last time the Italians played the All
Blacks one? Was it a few years ago? Were you around? Yeah?
I was.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
We know, we played them on my last end of
year tour. I didn't actually play us in the stands
of Dan Coles, but I was there and we struggled
to beat them. Actually we didn't win in the end,
but that was in Rome. That game. We're probably going
back five years ago.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Sure what we We don't take these team very seriously,
but if you look back at six nations, they can
actually pull one out of the bag. I think the
All Blacks are the only major nation they haven't had
a win so against. You wouldn't take them too lightly,
would you? At your peril?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
No, I think they know all the All teams and
especially European teams, like you know, they beat the All Blacks.
It's almost this season made and they'll probably be, no
doubt disappointing about disappointed with the way they played last weekend.
So yeah, I'd say if I was, then they'll be
coming here to throw everything at it and try and
upset the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
What did you learn predominantly out of that first up
run this new version of the All Blacks under Dave
Renny bits and pieces. There were some gaping gaps, but
it's always going to happen in the first game of
the season with the All Blacks under a new coach.
But in general positive, you like what you've seen?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, I thought it was pretty Yeah, it was a
pass mark, that's for sure. I think in terms of
trying to prepare for a test match while learning new
defensive systems and new attack under new coaches, it's not
easy and they didn't have much time to do that.
But I think you know one under the belt, that's
for sure and will definitely help them this week and
see them improve. I'd say, especially defensively, that get that
(08:51):
a bit better, just a few one on one tackles.
But you know, I like we touched on. I think
the optimism and the attacking rugby is what we think
of All Black rugby and it's awesome to see them
playing that now a little bit of a shaky start
with the yellow card, etc. But the way they bounced
back and held some composure, I thought that showed a
lot about.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
The last, but not least Brady Retellic Addie Savia finally
got the role everyone wants him to have. He's the captain.
He's played NonStop for the last eighteen months. People thought
he'd get a cup of tea in a lie down,
but no, not Ardie. What do you make of the
fact that he is the captain and his leadership on
the park?
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Yeah, I think it's awesome. Obviously, I've played with Ardi
for a while in New Zealand in the last year
over in Japan, and now he's a leader that in
his own way that he doesn't say a lot, but
his actions speak louder than his words, especially on the field.
And you know, I think the most important part was
almost when he does speak, people listen, and he's been
on the money. So yeah, I think that's awesome, and
(09:48):
I'm stoked that he got handed the captaincy and you know,
wishing him all the best, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (09:53):

We were alerted by the Warriors a couple of days
ago about a major announcement coming up and Of course,
most of the journalists, broadcasters and the like said, Okay,
this is going to be interesting. What does it involve.
Is it involved a new player, Does it involve maybe
an academy over on the Gold Coast? Because it was
all about what's happening with dream World. So we're waiting
(10:16):
around going, oh, we'll see if there's a big song
and dance being made about this, if it's actually been
made about anything, and no it hasn't. It's interesting, I suppose.
But renaming dream World, the legendary fun part from the
Gold Coast, renaming it War's World when the Wars play
over in the Gold Coast, is that really worth a
(10:39):
big song and dance. No, it's not. It's a bit
of naming rights, fun and games, and quite within their rights.
The Warriors are to spread the word in the name
of the Warriors or the Wars wherever they play. We
know they've got massive tracks and a huge engagement from
the fans over in the Gold Coast, and they want
to attract more people to tour, to come over the
(11:01):
fan base to follow, spend the weekend or the week
overrom the Gold Coast, spend all of that money on
the attractions over there, and this here is basically a
honey trap for the Wars fan. But I do find
that little strains that's such a big thing was made
of this a big, special secret announcement for what is
(11:21):
basically a branding exercise. I understand that there's always something
to celebrate, always something to push when it comes to
promoting the game and the Warriors over in Australia, but
renaming a fun park WA's World. I was kind of
hoping for a little more an academy over in the
Gold Coast, a major player signing from the Gold Coast,

But no, it was just the renaming of a fun
part from dream World to War's World. Although in saying
that there is a synergy because there is a roller
coaster at Dreamworld, wasn't last time I Wasia and shut.
That's the nature of the beast. But the Warriors do
go up and the Warriors invariably do go down, So
maybe there is some relevance in this renaming.

South Wales. Because you could argue they were going in
as favorites with what they've achieved up there in the

they weren't great. They were terrible in game two and
in Brisbane. You know, even given what you've just said
about an ability to go there and win games, I
think I think Queensland were pretty overwhelming favorites. But for

win and to take to take the trophy and give
Laurie Daylor I think a second as coach. I think
twenty fourteen was this other one. I mean it was
against most people's expects.

I think. Yeah. I spoke with Duke on the show yesterday.
He's a Fox Sport League commentator, he's a Blues fan.
It's like, I don't know, it's not looking good. I
hope I'm smiling, and like Jake, the crowd is going
to act as an extra man for Queensland, no doubt
about that. But when the crowd goes quiet, suddenly they

acting as an extra man for New South Wales. And
that's what happened after that third try. In that first half,
you're going to hurt a pin drop and I think
that really helped New South Wales. I said, hold on,
these guys are really staggering right now, and that was
the crowd.

I kind of feel also, So if you got Nathan
Cleary in your side, anything's possible. What he got a
couple of tries last night set up a couple of others.
I mean, one of the game's all time greats, and
I think was he Man of the natural Wally Lewis
Medal Player of the series. When you got Nathan Cleary,
you got a pretty distant chance, don't you.

You've got a full crumb that can achieve great things.
And you know what he knows he can. I'm not
saying he walks or plays with arrogance, but he has
this concept within himself that he can actually create these plays,
he can score these tries. He is the man, and
it's not arrogant. It sits comfortably with them, and it
happens out on the part when he's there. It's an

amazing thing to watch. I just still go back, and
we always will to watching him as a young man
at training when his old man was coaching the Warriors.
He should have been ours, He should have been ours.

Well, I'll go back to the Panthers now and they'll
probably win the NRL. Anyway, We'll wait and see on that.
He's certainly got another state of origin tucked into his CV.
Hey Men's World Cup. No games today, first day since
the start of the tournament. But like you, you say you
want to, can't. I feel a little bit twitchy, But
I do know that there are there are eight games

to go, eight pretty big games, including four quarter finals
over the next three days. France Morocco tomorrow, Spain, Belgium
on Saturday, Norway, England, Argentine Switzerland on Sunday. The thing
that stands out to me most us about this is
that the cream has risen to the top. We could
find ourself in a situation where the top four teams

in the world on the FIFA rankings, which aren't always right,
but near the top they tend to be France, Spain,
England and Argentina are in the semi finals. So at
a World Cup there's so much to enjoy, but the
cream does typically rise to the top, and I kind
of expect it will.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
With that in your mind, when it comes to these
quarter final matches, there's going to be a rogue match. Surely,
surely someone is going to get tipped that should have
been there. Who do you like for the upset Pinty?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Well, much as I have many many friends who support
England and who believe it's coming home. When you've got
the Viking freak Earling Harland and your team, anything is possible.
It's like Nathan Cleary, if he is in your team,
anything's possible. Of Earling Harland's in your team, anything's possible.
Nor Way have never been this far before. They're on
house money now, you know, whatever they do now, they'll
(16:13):
go home to a hero's welcome. But Earling Harland, I
know England know him better than most because he plays
in the Premier League for Manchester City. So a lot
of the England players have come up against him several
times and therefore I guess would know best how to
nullify him. But knowing how to nullify him as one thing.
Being able to nullify the Big Man is entirely another.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Well, when he first turned up on the scene, that
was the thing, Okay, how do we stop this play?
Then they worked out how to do it, but they
still couldn't put that into action. And it's been going
on now running around Joyousy for the last few seasons.
And I think the big thing of this fixture is
the weight of expectation on the shoulders of the English
side that I think that's going to be scarier than

the opposition.

Yeah, they don't wear the favorites tag that well England,
if we're honest, And historically they're not great at quarterfinals either.
Ten previous World Cup quarterfinals only three of them does
only three out of ten, So it's not as though
they they you know, they go seamlessly over this hurdle.
Having said that, I mean, man for man, they're a
better team. I'm sure the tab has them favorites and

they've got some game winners too. Horry Kane, anybody, Jude Bellingham,
anybody you know, they're they're good, good players they've had,
they've had to overcome. I mean that Mexico England game.
I know you had a look at that. What a
game of football. And to emerge from that cauldron, the altitude,
the raucous partisan home crowd, the red card in that
game and still be alive. That says a lot about

the resilience of England. The other one could be a
wild cards tomorrow Morocco France. Morocco was sixth in the
world and not for no reason. France have been the
best team at the tournament. But there's a possible possible
upset there as well.

Possible the other ones should go to forming believe planing.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yes, Spain haven't considered a goal yet, so they should
be okay against Belgium and Argentina. Well, when you got
messy again, anything's possible.

Eleven minutes to go and are as good as folded.
They were out and it's like, oh hold on, hold
my beer, and off they went. That was a stunning
end of that game.

Yeah, from two all down to three to two winners
in the space of eleven nor fifteen minutes was quite incredible.
I've got Switzerland. Switzerland are probably of all the teams
who are throw the one who are least likely to
go on and win it. So yeah, I get the
feeling it'll be Argentina. So look for France, look for Spain,
look for Argentina, and do not miss England against Harland

and the rest of Norway at nine o'clock on Sunday morning.
I'll give you the tip these will be four good games.

Indeed they will, and I'll be all over it like
a rash, no idea what's going on, but I'll be
shouting and leaping about the living room because you know,

is a shame, but it's good to see him out there.
And I thought also Sam Dowry played really well last week.
Now it's not easy preparing for a Test match, let
alone only having a week and a half for them
to prepare, so I thought it and all they performed
pretty well and it's great to see him playing with
some real optimism, that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
That's the phrase that he's using all the time, and
it's running rampant. Did he use that in Japan optimism?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
I mean he's used that word and since he came
to the Chiefs when I went there in twenty twelve,
and obviously he went away to Europe and came back
to Japan. But he still wants to play that expensive
style of footy. And like you say, it's got everybody
talking about how exciting is to see the All Blacks
plane attack for you again, And you know, I think
it's people behind them.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
It is, I like brutal optimism. I'll just add something
to that because they've got the ability to have that
brutal side of their game, which was a hallmark, wasn't
it of All Black rugby for say lot so long.
I mean you were quite brute out there when you're
at your heyday. It's part of the physical domination. Surely
that's part part of what this team do.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, I think it goes hand in hand with Rens
and the way he likes to play with optimism. I
think you know, he saw Luke Jackson start at seven
and he runs thal physicality along with the others. And
you know, when you've got a four pack that's going
forward and could be brutal and physical and then also
playing with speed and skill. That's the type of game
plan that rencites to play and it's hard to stop
when they get it right.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Well, a Satiti comes into the site as well at
a blind side Peter like not there, but again another
absolute brute of a human.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yeah, I think you know you saw you saw at
the end of the chief season, the Super Rugby season,
how well he was playing for the Chiefs and he's
got a the attributes down there in terms of physicality
and skill sets and speed. So yeah, I'm looking forward
to seeing how he goes and getting the start this week.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Pretty exciting in the pack for a bloke called Anton
Segna Crazy Jenny. We all know about that, coming all
the way from Germany to try and become an all
Black and he's going to become an all Black. All
things going well and good named on the bench. He's
had a stunning year. What do you make of what
he provides.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Brady, Yeah, it's awesome. I think it's you know, it's
a story about like Fabian Holland, isn't that We've got
guys as teenagers or kids come to New Zealand with
a dream to pay the All Blacks and to see
them fulfill it. That's what's sports all about, I suppose,
inspiring the next generation. So yeah, hopefully it gets gets
out there this weekend and it will be another awesome
story to add to the all Black jersey. But you know,
(06:55):
I didn't watch a whole lot of the Blues across
Super Rugby, but from what I saw, like in terms
of breakdown and he's an absolute menace in their slowing
ball and getting his hands in terms of jackling and
carry the ball pretty well as well. So I think
it adds another dynamic with loose wall players. Now you've
got Wallace on one side and potentially have on the
other side of the scrumm. It's two pretty handy loose forwards,
that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Did you play last time the Italians played the All
Blacks one? Was it a few years ago? Were you around? Yeah?
I was.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
We know, we played them on my last end of
year tour. I didn't actually play us in the stands
of Dan Coles, but I was there and we struggled
to beat them. Actually we didn't win in the end,
but that was in Rome. That game. We're probably going
back five years ago.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Sure what we We don't take these team very seriously,
but if you look back at six nations, they can
actually pull one out of the bag. I think the
All Blacks are the only major nation they haven't had
a win so against. You wouldn't take them too lightly,
would you? At your peril?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
No, I think they know all the All teams and
especially European teams, like you know, they beat the All Blacks.
It's almost this season made and they'll probably be, no
doubt disappointing about disappointed with the way they played last weekend.
So yeah, I'd say if I was, then they'll be
coming here to throw everything at it and try and
upset the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
What did you learn predominantly out of that first up
run this new version of the All Blacks under Dave
Renny bits and pieces. There were some gaping gaps, but
it's always going to happen in the first game of
the season with the All Blacks under a new coach.
But in general positive, you like what you've seen?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, I thought it was pretty Yeah, it was a
pass mark, that's for sure. I think in terms of
trying to prepare for a test match while learning new
defensive systems and new attack under new coaches, it's not
easy and they didn't have much time to do that.
But I think you know one under the belt, that's
for sure and will definitely help them this week and
see them improve. I'd say, especially defensively, that get that
(08:51):
a bit better, just a few one on one tackles.
But you know, I like we touched on. I think
the optimism and the attacking rugby is what we think
of All Black rugby and it's awesome to see them
playing that now a little bit of a shaky start
with the yellow card, etc. But the way they bounced
back and held some composure, I thought that showed a
lot about.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
The last, but not least Brady Retellic Addie Savia finally
got the role everyone wants him to have. He's the captain.
He's played NonStop for the last eighteen months. People thought
he'd get a cup of tea in a lie down,
but no, not Ardie. What do you make of the
fact that he is the captain and his leadership on
the park?
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Yeah, I think it's awesome. Obviously, I've played with Ardi
for a while in New Zealand in the last year
over in Japan, and now he's a leader that in
his own way that he doesn't say a lot, but
his actions speak louder than his words, especially on the field.
And you know, I think the most important part was
almost when he does speak, people listen, and he's been
on the money. So yeah, I think that's awesome, and
(09:48):
I'm stoked that he got handed the captaincy and you know,
wishing him all the best, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (09:53):

Speaker 4 (09:54):
We were alerted by the Warriors a couple of days
ago about a major announcement coming up and Of course,
most of the journalists, broadcasters and the like said, Okay,
this is going to be interesting. What does it involve.
Is it involved a new player, Does it involve maybe
an academy over on the Gold Coast? Because it was
all about what's happening with dream World. So we're waiting
(10:16):
around going, oh, we'll see if there's a big song
and dance being made about this, if it's actually been
made about anything, and no it hasn't. It's interesting, I suppose.
But renaming dream World, the legendary fun part from the
Gold Coast, renaming it War's World when the Wars play
over in the Gold Coast, is that really worth a
(10:39):
big song and dance. No, it's not. It's a bit
of naming rights, fun and games, and quite within their rights.
The Warriors are to spread the word in the name
of the Warriors or the Wars wherever they play. We
know they've got massive tracks and a huge engagement from
the fans over in the Gold Coast, and they want
to attract more people to tour, to come over the
(11:01):
fan base to follow, spend the weekend or the week
overrom the Gold Coast, spend all of that money on
the attractions over there, and this here is basically a
honey trap for the Wars fan. But I do find
that little strains that's such a big thing was made
of this a big, special secret announcement for what is
(11:21):
basically a branding exercise. I understand that there's always something
to celebrate, always something to push when it comes to
promoting the game and the Warriors over in Australia, but
renaming a fun park WA's World. I was kind of
hoping for a little more an academy over in the
Gold Coast, a major player signing from the Gold Coast,
(11:44):
But no, it was just the renaming of a fun
part from dream World to War's World. Although in saying
that there is a synergy because there is a roller
coaster at Dreamworld, wasn't last time I Wasia and shut.
That's the nature of the beast. But the Warriors do
go up and the Warriors invariably do go down, So
maybe there is some relevance in this renaming.

against most people's expects.

I think. Yeah. I spoke with Duke on the show yesterday.
He's a Fox Sport League commentator, he's a Blues fan.
It's like, I don't know, it's not looking good. I
hope I'm smiling, and like Jake, the crowd is going
to act as an extra man for Queensland, no doubt
about that. But when the crowd goes quiet, suddenly they

acting as an extra man for New South Wales. And
that's what happened after that third try. In that first half,
you're going to hurt a pin drop and I think
that really helped New South Wales. I said, hold on,
these guys are really staggering right now, and that was
the crowd.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
I kind of feel also, So if you got Nathan
Cleary in your side, anything's possible. What he got a
couple of tries last night set up a couple of others.
I mean, one of the game's all time greats, and
I think was he Man of the natural Wally Lewis
Medal Player of the series. When you got Nathan Cleary,
you got a pretty distant chance, don't you.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
You've got a full crumb that can achieve great things.
And you know what he knows he can. I'm not
saying he walks or plays with arrogance, but he has
this concept within himself that he can actually create these plays,
he can score these tries. He is the man, and
it's not arrogant. It sits comfortably with them, and it
happens out on the part when he's there. It's an

amazing thing to watch. I just still go back, and
we always will to watching him as a young man
at training when his old man was coaching the Warriors.
He should have been ours, He should have been ours.

Well, I'll go back to the Panthers now and they'll
probably win the NRL. Anyway, We'll wait and see on that.
He's certainly got another state of origin tucked into his CV.
Hey Men's World Cup. No games today, first day since
the start of the tournament. But like you, you say you
want to, can't. I feel a little bit twitchy, But
I do know that there are there are eight games

to go, eight pretty big games, including four quarter finals
over the next three days. France Morocco tomorrow, Spain, Belgium
on Saturday, Norway, England, Argentine Switzerland on Sunday. The thing
that stands out to me most us about this is
that the cream has risen to the top. We could
find ourself in a situation where the top four teams
(15:18):
in the world on the FIFA rankings, which aren't always right,
but near the top they tend to be France, Spain,
England and Argentina are in the semi finals. So at
a World Cup there's so much to enjoy, but the
cream does typically rise to the top, and I kind
of expect it will.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
With that in your mind, when it comes to these
quarter final matches, there's going to be a rogue match. Surely,
surely someone is going to get tipped that should have
been there. Who do you like for the upset Pinty?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Well, much as I have many many friends who support
England and who believe it's coming home. When you've got
the Viking freak Earling Harland and your team, anything is possible.
It's like Nathan Cleary, if he is in your team,
anything's possible. Of Earling Harland's in your team, anything's possible.
Nor Way have never been this far before. They're on
house money now, you know, whatever they do now, they'll
(16:13):
go home to a hero's welcome. But Earling Harland, I
know England know him better than most because he plays
in the Premier League for Manchester City. So a lot
of the England players have come up against him several
times and therefore I guess would know best how to
nullify him. But knowing how to nullify him as one thing.
Being able to nullify the Big Man is entirely another.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Well, when he first turned up on the scene, that
was the thing, Okay, how do we stop this play?
Then they worked out how to do it, but they
still couldn't put that into action. And it's been going
on now running around Joyousy for the last few seasons.
And I think the big thing of this fixture is
the weight of expectation on the shoulders of the English
side that I think that's going to be scarier than

the opposition.

Yeah, they don't wear the favorites tag that well England,
if we're honest, And historically they're not great at quarterfinals either.
Ten previous World Cup quarterfinals only three of them does
only three out of ten, So it's not as though
they they you know, they go seamlessly over this hurdle.
Having said that, I mean, man for man, they're a
better team. I'm sure the tab has them favorites and

they've got some game winners too. Horry Kane, anybody, Jude Bellingham,
anybody you know, they're they're good, good players they've had,
they've had to overcome. I mean that Mexico England game.
I know you had a look at that. What a
game of football. And to emerge from that cauldron, the altitude,
the raucous partisan home crowd, the red card in that
game and still be alive. That says a lot about
(17:42):
the resilience of England. The other one could be a
wild cards tomorrow Morocco France. Morocco was sixth in the
world and not for no reason. France have been the
best team at the tournament. But there's a possible possible
upset there as well.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Possible the other ones should go to forming believe planing.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yes, Spain haven't considered a goal yet, so they should
be okay against Belgium and Argentina. Well, when you got
messy again, anything's possible.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Eleven minutes to go and are as good as folded.
They were out and it's like, oh hold on, hold
my beer, and off they went. That was a stunning
end of that game.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yeah, from two all down to three to two winners
in the space of eleven nor fifteen minutes was quite incredible.
I've got Switzerland. Switzerland are probably of all the teams
who are throw the one who are least likely to
go on and win it. So yeah, I get the
feeling it'll be Argentina. So look for France, look for Spain,
look for Argentina, and do not miss England against Harland
(18:38):
and the rest of Norway at nine o'clock on Sunday morning.
I'll give you the tip these will be four good games.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Indeed they will, and I'll be all over it like
a rash, no idea what's going on, but I'll be
shouting and leaping about the living room because you know,
it's a major sporting event. It is the biggest game
in the world, and asides where it's being held and
how they've dealt with it, it's magnificent stuff. It's so
important to sport.
