The Black Caps have struggled in their second of three ODIs against Bangladesh losing by 6 wickets last night, which sets up a decider on Thursday night.

After a strong performance in the first match, they just couldn't get going with the bat - setting a subpar total of 198.

Bangladesh chased the total down with relative ease in the 36th over only losing four wickets.

In a disappointing turn of events, it was announced this morning that the Moana Pasifika Super Rugby franchise will be disbanding at the end of the Super Rugby Pacific season - barring a miracle.

It is estimated that the cost of running Moana is between $10-$12m per year and the current owners Pasifika Medical Association don't see a viable way they could meet the financial obligations next year.

A day of tinkering for Supercars teams after unloading their shipping containers for this weekend's maiden event in Christchurch.

Vehicles and surrounding infrastructure were shipped across the Cook Strait on Sunday, after racing was canned in Taupo due to the cyclone.

Yesterday afternoon, it was announced that Auckland Rugby and Cricket will be moving away from Eden Park being the home of their respected provinces.

Auckland Cricket has found a new home at Colin Maiden Park and will be getting a $10 million upgrade to boot.

Auckland Rugby, however, is now in the process of finding where their new home will be.

It's been a historic day for basketball in New Zealand. 

After a NCAA national championship winning campaign with UCLA, Kiwi Charlisse Leger-Walker was drafted 18th overall in the 2026 WNBA draft.

She becomes the first Kiwi to be drafted to the league and the second to play in the WNBA after Megan Compain, who played in the inaugural 1997 season.

It's the end of an era for Crusaders fans after it was announced that the franchise has had to drop their matchday tradition of horses galloping around the edge of the field when they move into the new One New Zealand Stadium.

Yesterday evening, a New Zealand Herald article reported that Australia were placing restrictions on the showing of sport gambling ads.

They cannot advertise gambling during live sporting events between 6am and 8.30pm, athletes cannot appear in the advertisements and official team uniforms, and sport venues cannot display the ads either.
