Speaker 1 (00:00):
Righty ho drama in the world of plowing our team
off to the World Championships in Croatia fifth and sixth
of September. But things have gone horribly wrong on the
logistics front in terms of getting our not our people,
but our machinery there. So team member Mark Dillon joins us. Now, Kido, Mark,

(00:22):
what's what's the situation, what has happened and what's the latest?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, So what's any of the moment that
he contained it for some reason, got unload off the
ship in Sydney, sat there for a couple of weeks,
no communication with us, and then they realized all that
boats around the wrong way. So we'd have to send
it back to New Zealand too, as due to pout
working the port in the North Island the next til
of three days, which is not real cool.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
So any chance of getting there or getting what you
need there by that fifth and sixth of September, I think.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
We'd have to get some magician a little bit of
conjuring and see what he can rustle up. But it's
more chances of seeing a purple pig flip past, I think.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
So have there been any response or any cup on
this and to try and help to see if we can,
you know, pull the rabbit.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Out of the head. Yeah, you've been being to my
wife and I've been doing a lot of colms this
morning and doing a lot of a lot of people
were local MP and different shipping companies. But we think
there's two times too gone unless we can get forrad
it over which he will need a big checkbook. We're
going to do that, and we've already paid for one
lot of shipping that it hasn't achieved a great deal
of the state.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Oh, we need to be there. We need to give
ourselves the best opportunity. So maybe we need to sort
of get to the public a little bit here, plus
the government and give a little bit and try and
make this happen. Mark, because you know, yeah, I mean
this must be I mean I can sense that, you know,
like things happen, but this must be immensely frustrating, Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
So much so. Lot. We had the gear picked up
and well in the twentieth of May, and there wasn't
plenty of time. Were we all for an extra month of
the sleeve. But when it sits on the in the
port somewhere and we have no Colms for two weeks,
so we can't crick DeFord the problem and then now
they're just sort of washing their hands of it, sowing
and what's bed luck?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, and how difficult is it to use somebody else's machinery,
somebody else's play out, Like what does that look like?
I mean, we saw Rod Dixon having to run in
a high jump his shoes, and his shoes were stolen
at the Calm Games in seventy eight and he was
the favorite for the five thousand meters, So it's bloody difficult,
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Definitely see it very much so, so the player I'm using,
I've been playing with the twenty five years and just
modiforing and thinkering stuff. And so it killed back into
the Zealand and January, coming after last year's World champions
It's been at the engineers for months and we've done
to spend a lot of time and money on at
foreign journey things, and yeah, I used it at the
Nationals this year and it's just running really sweet, and
I was really looking forward to running it at the

(02:36):
World to the sturge and listen because don drops something magic,
it's not going to happen, So I'm proby gonna have
to look at borrowing gear, which is not real cool.
Let's see the lit or we don't go. But yeah,
I keep quite frustrating.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yeah, okay, Mike, Well, we'll wish you all the best
in Malcolm Taylor as well Mark Dilan and Markeltoyl going
over to christ. So let's hope that a miracle can
happen and if it doesen't, that they're still able to
do as well as they can under the circumstances with
will be borrowed gear at the World Championships, the World
Plowing Champs over there in Croatia,
