What an incredible thing and what they're doing with fundraising
for that, and the stories we heard and the story
we heard from Taranaki. There wasn't a dry iron the room.
And my wife and I left there going home thinking
any little problems you got, we haven't really got any

after hearing some of the stories there and what Mike's
doing with fundraising there, and what a privilege it was
to be there and rub shoulders for some really famous people.

Okay, the Mikey's referring to as Mike Green, the man
behind the Rural Industry Leaders event and the debate. The
debate was a lot of fun. Mike, you get bigger
and better every year. What is have you got a
final number? How much was raised for the Rural Support Trust?

We will finish up round about that four twenty four
to thirty thousand with the horse to go yet, which
we're looking at putting up in Cragger, whichs big deal.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Well, I mean the horse, this is a giant horse
made out of horseshoes. It's a brilliant sculpture. You we
were talking after the event. We passed it in or
you passed it in, but you reckon it could be
worth fifty or eighty grandon.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
We'll get more than that. I've gon an offer of
fifteen now and we reckon we'll get up to possible
around there, eighty to one hundred k or just over
to go up to Cragger.

So what's the next expansion plan for the Rural Industry
Leaders Event.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Well, this year we're wanting to get into the arena
at Cordlin's but couldn't, so we will be this coming
year we'll wear it six twenty people in the room
this time, will by Tommy invite all the industry award
winning future leaders of rural into the room. There's been
another thirty to fifty the essay, which stage three fift.

We go anywhere between now seven fifty to eight hundred
we've got for an unadvertised event. We've a got a
que over end about two to three hundred still to
come in. So yeah, it's no shortage of people wanted
to get in. We've another had ten partners chasing us
since the end of the event.

Bring it on and everyone, it's a vibe. It's like
a bipart of that event. I know all the big
banks are and they're all sponsoring you and supporting you.
They're not competing with one another. David, Oh, Sir David Fagan,
I bet I couldn't get it right. I knew him
when he was just playing old David way back when
he won his first ever sharing competition in my hometown
of Riversdale, way back when. But you're here, I think,
or you've got the can Am gear on, You're like

the Canam ambassador. What is the vibe out there? Because
I've been talking to vehicle salespeople and motorbike people and
they've been going really well. House can Yeah.

It's been good. I've been This is my third day
here now on the stand, quite glad to get off
the stand actually have a walk around, and yeah, it's
been good. It's been good. There's a good vibe out
there in the rural sector and we feel it on
farm too. Real New Zealand's in a good place. You know,
if it wasn't for what was happening in the Middle East,
we're really humming.

Oh but wait, there's more. Trump's is signaling a piece.
There will be they will be all right.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
You know, the will's got to eat, so farming's will
always going to be good. And you're on the stand
at Cana. We've just got so much interest in new products.
They've got new defenders out there. And on eleven o'clock
on Wednesday we launched the first ever Outlander fully electric
quad bike and it is amazing and it's coming to
my place on Monday. I've already driven it. I'm not

a greenie, but I'll tell you what, it's got some
grunt and it's going to be really interesting to see
how the uptakers with New Zealand farming with electric on
quad bikes, and it won't be everyone's cup of tea,
but I'm quite sure it's going to go.

what are you doing here at Field Days? Other than
stating the obvious? Organizing a huge fundraise of it made
over four hundred thousand dollars.
