Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yes, indeed.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
News there on the Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening.
The time is 6.15, which means it's time for.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hey, guys. Text here from Steve. What's for tea, New Zealand?
With me, Keezy.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Now you're talking. I know, right?
The segment where you text in on 3483 what you
were having for dinner and then we read it out
on the radio and you can get a $ 50 reburger voucher.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
How bloody good. I can't believe no one's thought of this.
Nobody ever has done this on radio.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
It's genius, Keezy.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Thank you. It's also four years old now.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Yeah, no one's getting sick of it. Nah, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
Doesn't age.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
Nah.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Russell here.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
It would be like saying, oh, we've been doing the
news for four years. Exactly. You want to get rid
of it. The news always changes. So does what's on
the dinner keys.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
What's dinner news, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Russell Coots.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Russell, yeah, Coots. No, sorry, it was Crow.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
My mistake.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Russell Crow here. Dinner tonight, sausage surprise.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Well, I think that was very well timed.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Sausage surprise.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I love sausage.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
I've got to be fair. I don't mind a saucy.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Do you, mate?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And a nice big thick bit of white bread, sauce
and musty.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
But I don't think that's a surprise. No.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
That's a sizzle. That's pretty standard. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
But I mean, I was talking in general terms about
your sausage.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
The thing I don't like about this is the surprise.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah. You want to know what you're getting.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I want to know what I'm getting.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Do you remember the old curried sausages?

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Back in our day.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Yeah, curried or a deviled is a similar thing, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yes, yeah. Oh, slightly different.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Well, curried is a.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Foul.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Foul. No, yummy. I like a deviled.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Mama Keezy made a good... Curried sausage.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Who?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
My mum, Mon. She made a really good one. Doubt it.
Hang on, man.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Trevor here.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Gilmeister. Trevor Gilmeister.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah, it's Trevor Gilmeister.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Trevor the Axe. Gilmeister. G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I'll be having beef and Guinness casserole on couscous. which
is interesting. Although the couscous is a pasta, it's.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Not as bad as a grain. I had the grain
in my mind. Yeah, I'd give that a run.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Were you thinking quinoa?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah. I'll be honest with you, I'd rather have it
with a mash.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Agreed.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I'd have it with a mashed potato. Yes, I agree
with that.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, the kids are having baked beans for being fussy bastards. Yeah,
fussy bastards.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Yeah, good call.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Good call.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, and to be honest, baked beans are delicious.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
It is.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Baked beans on toast, nothing wrong with it.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
G'day, guys. Matty here. M-A-D-I.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Matty. Matty. That doesn't sound like you're pronouncing that right. G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Madi here.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Oh, Madi.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, that's the one.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Madi Linsami.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's right. Madi Linsami.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Yes, nice.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
G'day, guys. Dinner tonight, chicken schnitty with some delish mashed
spuds and veggies. Cheers.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
She, old Madi Linsami there, she should give some of
her spuds to old mate. What was his name?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh, the old, was it Trev?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah, Trev Gilmeister. Old mate who's got the pie.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, totally. What about this one here? G'day there, fellas.
Delilah here.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Samson and Delilah. Jase?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
It was Samson and Delilah.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
G'day, guys.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Curry pumpkin soup with a spicy pumpkin soup. Curry. Yum, delicious.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
That's pretty good, actually.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
But I've never thought of doing this. Garlic naan on
the side.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Yeah, why not?

Speaker 4 (03:49):
That's good.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Yeah, that's really good.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Is it creamy?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
I'd put a cream in that.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
What kind of cream?

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Just cream.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Jason, can I ask you about your... Sorry to get
away from what's happening over here with you, Keezy.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
It's okay, buddy.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Your toasted sandwich last night. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
To.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Thick white bread. Ham on the bone. Just chopped off, obviously.
Your red onion.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Your cheese.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
And then I had a little bit of the glaze
left over.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Put that on there. And some fresh chilli. Cooked it
in the fry pan.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Beautiful.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Good eating. Use the lid there to make sure you're
melting that cheese.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
No, no. Just put the spatula on top of it and.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Then turn it over. Oh, so you did it on
the fry pan rather than the toasty machine.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Yeah, I don't have a toasty machine. I don't have
a toasty machine.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
It was magnificent.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Just the one?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yes. cauliflower and cheese from, you know, because we had
that cauliflower. My wife turned that into cauliflower and cheese.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
How'd she do that?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Put cheese in it.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yes, indeed.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Radiohead there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday afternoon,
the time 4.39.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Fellas, I don't know if I told you this, but yesterday...
I was very busy.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Performing in a new role in a big feature film
that's coming up.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh, yeah. Really?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
That's awesome. I don't like to talk about it in
case I get fired at some point during the process.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
So I went out on set there, and the director
pulled me aside, and the director is also the lead
actor in this thing.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Right, okay.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
So it's a very personal project. And in this particular film,
I was going to be playing the spouse of this person.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Right, so the director and lead character's spouse.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, husband, I guess you could say. And so a pivotal,
very important role. Obviously, yeah. Anyway, so I read the
script and reread it and saw my lines and everything.
You try and give yourself a little bit of a background,
what sort of a person is this? And for me,
it felt very much in the way that it was
written that I knew the kind of character that this was,

(06:08):
and that this person would have a certain way of speaking.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
And I had it all sort of sorted out. Anyway,
got there, got to set.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
We went inside into a different room just to run
the lines and just to work through it. Now, I
immediately went into my character, you know, just to give
the director a taste of what was going to happen
when we got on set. And the director immediately stopped
the proceedings and just said, oh, no, no, no. Oh,

(06:34):
like that.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Not like that. I just want you to just be you.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Old Mogi.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
Yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Old Mogi.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
What you're doing there is, and I quote, interesting, and is,
I quote, an interesting idea, but I have no.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Interest in that.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Right, okay.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
So, you know, it can be a fairly humbling experience,
can't it?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
It certainly can, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I mean, obviously honoured to be in there, Keezy, but
just straight away you're on the back foot. Your confidence
has taken a bit of a knock.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Well, I find that certainly my very short, very brief
foray into not landing any acting gigs, that the whole
industry is built around just smashing and destroying your confidence. Yes.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
That's right. Or building it up.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Right.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Or smashing it again. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
That's why actors are such pieces of work.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Tell me about it.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Because they get smashed and smashed and then they break
through and they become full of themselves.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
So there's no in between.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Yeah, that's right. And that's a facade, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Not unlike the sets that are made for movies where
it's just the front. There's no actual, you know, if
you're walking down the street, they'll have the facade, the
face there of the building. There's nothing behind it.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, yeah. It's like when you're talking about being on
Hunt for the Wilderpeople. And you were waiting for Taika
to give you some sort of feedback and he just
said nothing.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
You're there like– that made you uncomfortable as well and
shared your confidence.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
So he's not talking to me. What's going on?

Speaker 4 (08:14):
That's right. When they do talk to you, they're like,
not like that. So, well, I don't want you to
talk to me if you're going to talk to me
like that. I just want you to tell me that
I rule.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
You know?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Totally. Is that too hard?

Speaker 3 (08:25):
It's always very– It's a very nerve-wracking time when you're
presenting your interpretation.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Of the character to a director. You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I can't say I've experienced what you've experienced, Maggie, because
it's generally the feedback's been nailed it.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yes, that's exactly right. Right, so they looked at you
on Brokenwood and they were like, yeah, that's it.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
Totally, man, totally.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Really? Yeah. Because that's not how I normally sound, of course.
But I gave Ray from Brokenwood a certain, you know,
je ne sais quoi. I polished him up a bit.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, you polished him up.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Oh, yeah, did you?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, yeah. That's good stuff. And so did you change it?
Did you tweak it?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Well, what I did was I just went back to
being old Mogi. Yeah, okay. And that was essentially what
the person wanted in the first place.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
It was just, oh, I thought you'd be good. And
so it just probably imagined me just being myself, which
means no acting required, which is actually the only thing
I've ever been good at.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
I've never actually been any good at acting. I'm only
good at being myself.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Well, you're very good at being you.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
And saying the words that somebody else has written.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Now, if you want them to sound exactly like me,
I can do that. Yes. Anything outside of that is
probably outside of my capabilities and capacity as an actor.
And even as I was saying it out loud to
the director, I was thinking, Jesus, this is shit. Right.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
And you still won the Best Actor Award as well.
Isn't that amazing?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Oh, holy man.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Oh, God, that was amazing, wasn't it?

Speaker 5 (09:53):
And rightly so.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Actually, I'll bring it in tomorrow, Keezy. You can get
a photo with that little trophy. With your award.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yeah, that'd be nice.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Jase, could you bring your one in as well?

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yeah, sure, man. Here's Metallica.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Metallica.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
Oh, g'day, mate.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Oh, hi, mate, yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Look, if you want the chance to win all our
on-air competitions and stuff and get amongst the live conversation,
tune in to the Hauraki Big Show, four to seven
weekdays on Radio Hauraki and iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Foo Fighters there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this
Thursday evening. Now, fellas, we haven't really gone into detail
about your big date last night.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
The two of you met.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
You came up behind me in town while I was
walking home with my skull candies on because you had
a date in town, apparently.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
That was quite interesting because we weren't trying to catch
you up and, in fact, I didn't even know that...
You were in front of us until I nearly tripped
over you.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
You know what's funny is I thought you were intentionally
walking really fast to catch up to Jase.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Yeah, no, I was just cold.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
That's just how you were cold.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
I was cold, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
And I'm a fast walker, Keith.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
You are. I walk, I don't mess around. So, Keith,
I've just seen how you walk now, Jase, but you
left the studio about an hour before us.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yes, that's what surprised me.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
And I was like, hang about, how did that happen?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
You're only about 50 metres in front of us.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
But I did notice for every one stride of Mogies,
Jase did about seven. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
And he was making that little, that normal... That noise
when Fred Flintstone's bowling.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But, yeah, we hung out last night.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
It was a hell of a day. Yes.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Well, as I said in the podcast, you know, in
the disclaimer, when I came in today, Keezy had all
the makings of a big night. Yes.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
He had the hooded eyes. He was a bit moody.
His hair was all mussed up.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Well, can I tell you, it took a bit of arranging.
We got to the venue, and our name was on
the door. It wasn't available for just anybody.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Yeah, sure.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
You wouldn't have been able to go in.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
You wouldn't have been able to go in. Right, okay, yeah,
no fair. So then we get in there, and I
buy Keezy, because it felt like the right thing to do,
because I.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Chose the venue.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Yeah. Bought him an espresso martini.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Yeah, it was very nice.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Very nice.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Did they have a bar in there, did they? Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Keezy moved on to the Rabbit Ranch Pinot Noir.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
And to be honest, I'm more of a cab-sav guy.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Very nice Pinot Noir, though.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
The Rabbit Ranch is very good.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
It is.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
In my day, the Pinot was my favourite.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
You like that?

Speaker 5 (12:28):
I like a Pinot.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
I had some bubbles. And then we just sort of
took a little walk around the venue because there was
a lot to take in, wasn't there, Keezy?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I was taking it all in. There was lots of
people there.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Yeah, it looked like it.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
You were hoovering it up.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Yeah, well, to be honest, there was free food, hors
d'oeuvres and stuff. It was, should we say what it was, right?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
It was a store opening. Yeah. In Queen Street, all right?
It's a concept store.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Yes. The building built, interestingly, in 1928, Keezy. That's right.
It was one of the first cantilevered buildings, so it
didn't have the brick pillars in the middle holding the
whole joint up.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
It's just one long open space, probably about 50, 60
metres long.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
I think I know the space you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Nah, it's not that one.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
No, definitely not that one. And anyway, then Keezy sort
of got lost in a world of video games. You
would have seen it on my Instagram story there.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
That's right. So I was doing that and making those noises.
They had a simulator as well. Gran Turismo, who could
do the fastest lap of which track was it?

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Suzuka.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, Suzuka. And an Aston Martin.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
In Japan.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
GT3. I think it is in Japan, actually, Jase.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
And old Keezy hit the top spot.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Top spot. He won a prize. Did he? He won
a prize. So that's pretty cool. Jase hates the day
that I was good at something. He was number one.
The first lap, I've never seen somebody crash so much. Yeah.
But the second lap, he did do well, Jase. And
he won a prize, which was nice.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, I won a prize.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
What was the prize?

Speaker 2 (13:58):
It was this little, like, thing that you put, you
plug into your computer.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
And then when you hit the buttons.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
It goes.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I'm a hamstring. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, it was good.
It was good. And you had a cool pair of
gloves you got. Oh, I had some gloves.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I was given some gaming gloves.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Oh, how good.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
For when you're gaming so you don't get blisters.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
Yeah, well, because you get very sweaty when you game, eh?
You get very sweaty hands.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Sure do.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
What can I ask, fellas? What time did you finish up?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Seriously, 9 p.m. I was out of there. They actually
kicked me out.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
You got kicked out closing.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Were you wearing your gloves?

Speaker 2 (14:36):
I was wearing my gloves. And my wife was at
an awards night, which finished at 10, so I came
to work here, sat on that desk in the middle
of the office and ate pizza and watched YouTubes.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Wearing your gloves.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Wearing my gloves.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Douche, douche.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Douche, douche.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Oh, my hamstrings.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Here's Supergrass.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Radiohead there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this Friday afternoon.
The time is 13 minutes past 4 o'clock. Big day
on Sunday, isn't it, fellas?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, Father's Day.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
You mentioned it earlier and you were both like, what's
that about? I thought Father's Day was great.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Well, I mean, it's always, I suppose, looked upon as
a bit of a celebration of fathers all around the world.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
What, Father's Day?

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Yeah. You know, where.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Families come together and appreciate all the great work that
fathers do, all the stuff that they do to make
a family work.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Yeah, it sounds great.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (15:36):
First and foremost, of course, making love. to form a
family to become a father. Because, I mean, the reality
is you're not going to have a family without a
father in terms of initially.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
And oftentimes, Kesey, what you'll find is a lot of
the credit will go to the mother.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
She's got nothing without the father. Right. I'm going to
be quite clear about that. Very clear.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Right, okay.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
I mean, she does do, like, you know, But without
the father, no one's denying great job. And everybody's very
busy patting them on the back saying they do a
great job.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
And, in fact, in that mode, Mogi, I mean, I
think they get their fair share of credit. You know
what I mean?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Could I say more than?

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh, too much credit.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Not too much. You can never get too much credit.
Never get too much. But it's like Love Keezy. Mm-hmm.
There's more than enough love to go around. And just
because you're giving lots of love over here doesn't mean
you can't give a little bit of love over here
as well.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Wasn't that what they're doing?

Speaker 4 (16:42):
So what I'm saying is I think we deserve a
little bit more credit than what we get. Just a
little bit.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Just saying, man.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Well, hey. All I'm saying is without the father, where
would the mothers be?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Where would they be? They'd get no credit at all,
would they, Jase? None.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
None.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Because there's no fathers there.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Yeah, right. So what I'm saying is, you know, maybe
we could make it a father's month. And just for
one month, a little bit of credit over here.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
An entire month. I mean, it's a bit full on,
don't you think?

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Well, when you think about, you know, what fathers bring
to the table.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
You know, and I'm not.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Look.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
It's massive. And often it goes by the wayside.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
We don't want to draw attention to it.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
I don't want or need any credit. No. Hang on.
But what I'm saying is I should be saying I
don't want or need it. Everybody else shouldn't be deciding
that I don't get it. Yeah. Right. Okay?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Okay, I think I follow you now. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I mean, if you look at it in terms of
what fathers bring, I think a month's not unreasonable.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
It's not unreasonable at all.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
But I'm not going to ask for a month.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
So you're not going to ask?

Speaker 4 (18:02):
A month is what I should get, but I'm not
going to ask for it.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
No way.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I'm going to shut up and get on with it.
I'm a father. I don't need credit. I don't want credit.
I shut up and I get on with it.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Right. And if I get a lukewarm, badly made coffee at,
Nine in the morning with a bit of soggy toast
and that's it.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
A poorly scrawled card five minutes before it's shoved into
the clasp of my hand.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Right.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Then so be it, Keezy.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Couldn't be happier.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
That's more than enough. That's too much.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Right.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
So what are you saying? Like cancel it? Like get
rid of Father's Day?

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Is that what you're saying? All I'm saying is if
somebody offered me a month, I wouldn't say no.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Right.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (18:40):
