street food freshly made with Reburger.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Welcome, this is big show, really, Jason Heights make and
I'll get a mad Barstard's great to have your company
on this beautiful Thursday afternoon. It is the sixth of
August twenty twenty six, and you, my friends, as always listening.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
To the Big Show brought to you by Reboog You beef, chicken,
vegan and vegetarian options. Reburger are redefining the norm.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah, great stuff. Get a Mogi Stallion. How's life going?
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Pretty grossy your mad dog six son of a bee.
Life's good, isn't it. It's cold, I'm enjoying the I'm
enjoying the cold weather. It's nippy. But bluebird, you know,
beautiful blue day. Walked to work this morning, blue skies,
beautiful morning.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Cold as a bastard. Yeah you beauty, bring it on.
I went for a little morning walk like you, Mogie.
I think it was about eight degrees. Yeah, I felt
like too kezy. How are you going, mate?
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Good as gold Fellers. Feeling much better than yesterday?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Think? Oh yeah, great stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
In terms of it, because for those who don't know
Kezy had a big night out on Tuesday because he's
a shocking bush dude. Yesterday is an absolute puddle of
a man. In terms of a percentage, Kesey, where do
you rate yourself today?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
My brain? I reckon it is operating about seventy five percent.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
That's quite a lot down, isn't it? Yeah? But it is.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
It sort of like an iPhone battery where you've had
it for years and years and years and it sort
of maxes out about seventy six seventy seven percent.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yeah, and it's it's on low power mode right now,
and I've got a few settings turned off like Bluetooth,
et cetera, just to try and get me home.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Right mode because that was going to ask as that
twenty five percent. It's a sort of durbrain Yeah, I
mean brain mode, yeah, der brain mode. But no, because
you've got the other seventy five percent. Yeah, you're a
top radio DJ.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Thanks, Jase. How are you today?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Not too bad things fellows. I had to take it
easy today. Me hips giving me a bit of grief
with all the walk and I'm doing. It's gone to mcgroin,
So I just I listened to my body today and
went no, just take it easy. Good for you, Jason Man,
you're yourself beggs man. Hey, Mogi. What's coming up on
the show show with old mogis Fellas.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
We're going to be going down to a Beavana in
a couple of three weeks there and now we're offer
an opportunity for a couple of backbones to join us
down there. Go to Beavana, come along to the live
show and be part of our support crew. Listening out
for the queue to cool Yes Sichos. Later on the show,
we're going to have Packasadi and Hannah Marshall, the creators
and stars of the new sitcom Setlinge, which starts tonight
(02:45):
on three Now and TV three and coming up next Fellas,
possibly the most important, the biggest big pole of all time,
of all time.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
We discussed with the Jason Hoyt should be banned from
the Throbber What.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
For long time coming? Jason? You know it, I know
the audience knows it. Three four eight three that it's
not you think.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
In the meantime, here's Oasis for.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarchy.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Is indeed puddle of mud. There on the Hadarchy Big
Show this Thursday afternoon. The time is fifteen minutes past
four o'clock. And jeez, I'm loving the music on Hodak
at the moment, you know what I mean, It sort
of ebbs and flows for me. Just incidentally, later on
in the show, I'll be going through my goat. We'll
be having a little bit of a chitty chat about that.
(03:40):
And you know, I've seen what old Hoidy Jay's come
up with. There should be bloody good stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, I wouldn't count on it.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah, well it may well be the end up getting
banned from the Goat as well. But in the meantime,
it is time for the.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Now.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
I'm just going to take the take the steering wheel
on this one, Keezy, because I know how fired up
you get. Yeah, please do you know, over the course
of probably the last three months to two and a
half years, Jason has been having a shocker when it
comes to the throb Now, the Throbber is held on
a Friday afternoon, so where we each choose a song,
the audience votes on it, and it's meant to get
the weekend off to a flyer with a hard rocker.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Can I just say also, it's something we've been doing
since the very first week of our show, yeah, way
back five plus years ago.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Oh yeah, man, it's an institution of the show and
I love it.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
And so Jason's sort of, you know, in varying ways,
brought great shame on himself and on the Throbber in general.
And what's ended up happening over you know, certainly this year,
is that people are texting and complaints about the Throbber
as opposed to been you know, super enthusiastic about it.
Another another shaka, why do you bother? All of those
(04:57):
sorts of things, And so it's made us start why
do we bother? Made us start down in ourselves?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, when you shouldn't, because I mean, we all, you know,
we all put bloody thrubbers out there, and sometimes we're
about hitt and miss fellows. That's what happens.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
That's I mean, that's not trying. You don't care anymore,
so much so that I've got pugs just to go
through a few recent Throbbers and just put together a
few examples of you not even trying to pick a
song that gets your Friday off to a ripper.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
I haven't played this band in a long Yeah, we
didn't used to we still do it stiff tones. Here
we go, No, Ma's got a great voice, then we go.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
I mean that's pretty down. Buzz I hate his voice.
By the way, speaking of Jase, what was your song.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Just on that? Can I just correct you? The asy
Mitchell's song that you that he This.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Is things you just put the all blame off onto
someone else.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
And it's an absolute banger. Come and get it by
a CDC. What have you got the over to Kings
of Leon or something like gods Up?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
If this is the deftone song six tape, I'm gonna
be furious.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
What is it? William Platt and find out A baby
We're back, Baby, We're back.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Bring us home, Jake, I want to bring you home.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Fellas here we got this is a tune you could
be happy. I won't, No, but you weren't.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Happy that day.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
How are you talking? Some absolute bangers in there?
Speaker 4 (06:59):
To be there's there's more things with a beat in
there then I was anticipating. There's been a hell of
a lot worse than that. You've ended up on the
schoolboard jas with a couple of asterisk asterisks, A small
d a disqualification.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Yes, he literally couldn't be bothered even trying to fit
the theme.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
No, that's right, it's just And then there's other times
where you know, we started changing our behavior to adjust
for his keys. Right now, that was wrong, And this
often happens in an abusive relationships. Actually you change your
behavior so that you know you don't have to have
these confrontations. And we got the audience to actually sit
in the air throbbers and Jason was just picking one
(07:36):
out of the hat.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
He's never heard of it before in his life.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
So anyway, it's sort of gotten to the point now
where Jason, from what I can tell, is absolutely loving
taking the pass out of it, particularly because it stirs
up Keasy.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
So I just I just care so much about the show.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Can I here, Can I have some kind of defense?
Speaker 5 (07:56):
Heve?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
If you can next right next time.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
In the meantime, go to the Hdarky Big Show's Instagram
vote on the Big Pole. Let us know. You can
also text us three four eight three year opinions. Should
Jason banned from the Big Pole? You can call us
oh eight hundred hardarchy. There are a few l reboog
of vouchers.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Up for grabs, Oh cheers.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
It's a great song, but it's not a throbber.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune
in week days at four on Radio Hold aching.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
We're staying on the Hodarchy Big Show this Thursday afternoon.
The time is four twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, we're in the middle of the Big Pole, Big Pole.
Today's poll is an important one. Should Hoidy JB Band
from the Friday Throbber, which is an institution, It's a
It's a massive part of our show. It happens every Friday.
It has done since the beginning of our show. We
each picked a rock and song. You choose which one
(08:55):
you want to hear. And I'm just human, man, I'm
actually fuman. You've been taking the purse out of the
segment for the past few months. Listen to what people
are saying on three four eight three men dump him
sad face. Unfortunately, I think Jason needs punishment. That snow
(09:16):
Patrol song ruined my Friday and indeed my entire weekend.
I said this last week and I'll say it again.
Jay should be banned for at least the end of
the year. It makes my drive home miserable when J's
the shock and bastard doesn't take his job seriously. Docors
pay someone stuck in traffic on the way home, Jason,
(09:39):
Once your pay, doc Man, Hoyt's throbble will always be
inside me. Oh that's more of a positive ways from Brad.
You know, I could go on Jason, but obviously you'll
want a chance to defend yourself.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
If I might go for it, go fellas. All I
want to say is I get it. And I just
want to say, and I want you both to hear this,
but you, especially Kesy, It's okay. What's okay?
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Now, it's not It's.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Okay now listen. I will agree with you both. The
throbber is an institution in this show. Thank you. And
I think it's fair to say over the last little while,
we've been getting a bit of grief about it. All
of us have been getting a little bit of grief
about it. And I've seen I've seen the pressure cranker
(10:35):
exponentially every week, and you know, it's become a regular
thing now for me on a Friday afternoon to walk
in to the office and see Kesy pacing back and forth, fretting, fretting,
about what he wants to choose as a throbber and
just freaking out about it because he's like, this is
(10:56):
going downhill, so bad, so bad. And I don't want
to say this, but I think it's worth saying that
this is a classic case of deflection where one zone
struggles are being exacerbated. So what do you do? You
turn the focus on another bastard? You turn I can't
(11:23):
tell you, wait, I can't tell you, Mogi, how many
times Keezy has issued me with an asterisk before I've
even played my song. Now, look as I say, it's okay,
take a couple of deep breaths, and I'm very confident, quietly,
(11:44):
quietly confident that the audience has my back on this,
because I think that you've both become so delusional, You've
both become so untethered from reality that you don't actually
realize there's a lot of peopeople.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Out there that love the Hoody Jay cheans absolutely well.
I think this and this is the thing, right, it's
very it's hard for us to get perspective, Yes, hard
for us, because we're.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Right in the eye of the storm here. Absolutely so.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
It may well be because our love for the throb
of the fact that it is an institution. Maybe maybe
it is on us, Maybe we're the ones that have
got it wrong, Keysy. But that's the beauty of the
big pole. Sure the people will decide totally.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
And I mean, I don't want to say that the
pressure is clouding your judgment.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Is this.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Like it might be the aslet that you've been clouded?
Here I could see every Friday.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
This is what it sounds like to be Gaslet.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
You're so good at.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
It, and I yeah, you're right. I just say it's
a little sideline too when I come in on a Friday,
because I always send my my my trouble thread Pugs.
You know, so he's got time to work to weekend
every Friday without fail. Pug says the high five again, hod.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
J just quickly.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
You might not win every Throbber, but boy, I've had
my fierce shit.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Well that's good, Jason. We do someone on the line,
Tristan right now, who has a message for Hoidy j
What is that message? Tristan?
Speaker 7 (13:17):
Hey, howdy, I just want to give you a big,
big kiak for tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Mate, Thank you mate.
Speaker 7 (13:24):
I've been noticing the Keysy aka smash about nickelback. He's
been haranging you in mate. I just want to know,
are you okay? Keysye? Work place bullies not cool?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Okay, So we've done here is we've put another gas
lighter on the just as bad as however, you do
get a rebig about man did you pay that guy?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
I have never heard of him. He's a back.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
And this is this is an interesting thing as well,
isn't it? Because you could say that, you could say,
you know and this you know, smash mouse. Certainly there's
been some shockers, Kezy and you know, taste is in
the eye of the beholder. But is a throbber in
the eye of the beholder?
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Is it?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
What even is a throbber? You can vote the Hidarky
Big Show on the Instagram story. This will be the
sort of be all and end or we'll have a
look at it later on the show. And if people
have voted in favor of Jase being banned, you will
be banned from the Throbber tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Well, you know, the people have their say, then so
be it.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Keezy the whole Actual Big Show with Jace, Mike and
Kezy tune in week days at four on Radio.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Hoddxi's there on the Darchy Big Show this Thursday afternoon.
The time is four point fifty three. Let's talk Telly.
What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue. Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Last night, Fellows, I went to a screening on Settling,
created by Hannah Marshall and Packs of Sadi. They're going
to come in for a yarn later on. It's a
story of two high school friends who make a pact
that if they're not buried when they turn thirty five,
that they'll marry each other.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Cut to via thirty five. Their lives are falling apart.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
They've lost starts with their lives are falling apart in
different ways, and they run into each other at a
high school reunion and they decide to go ahead with it.
So Hannah Marshall and Packs have created it. It's also
got a friend of the show Bueller Kalett, isn't it
Jennifer Ward Leland, Michael Hurst.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yes, the cast is really good. But better than that,
it's actually funny. Ah, thank god.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
It really is funny. It looks great. The casting is
really good, the writing's really good. I really really recommend it.
Four busies at Premier tonight on three and three now
at eight thirty. You could probably sneak a look on
three now whenever you want. It's already there. Definitely recommend
good stuff.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Sat settling give it a check out tonight. I couldn't
settle on anything last night. So I do what I
call the Samsung switcheroo, which is where I just go
through all the movie channels and what.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Can I just stop you there, Joe?
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Do you do you do you ask your wife?
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Do you turn to her and do you say, shall
we do the old Samsung switcheroo?
Speaker 2 (16:21):
I do. Indeed, maybe she goes you bet you hoidy J.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
She does not call you hordy J.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
And so what that entails says I literally go through
all the movie channels and watch little snippets from each
movie and just on a constant rotate four and a
half buzzies out of five. The Samsung switcheroo.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
It's funny because you plug the arse out of Samsung TV,
which is like a free digital service that you get
if your own a stamps. Yeah, I feel you should
be getting paid by them.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I should be a kind of phone you're running.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
If anyone from Samsung is listening, give old Hoidy j
a bit of a.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
Samsung works lives around the corner from me.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Does he?
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I thought he lived in South Korea? No, No, that's
what why because that's where Samsung's from.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
He's been moving here for he's been living.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Here for years. What's his first name?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
All right?
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Well, as a sign of respect kesey in the South
Korean culture, I just referred on his blister.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
He's an elder, so is he? Yeah? I couldn't tell you.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah right, I thought a woman ran the company.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Did you what's your name?
Speaker 3 (17:30):
I don't know, missus Samsung, I've got no idea.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Did you watch Key?
Speaker 3 (17:37):
What did I watched last.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Night as you were hung Yeah?
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Oh that's right. And we went on to tv Z
Plus and saw that there is a third season of
a great little Australian sitcom, Yes, which is brilliant. So
we watched the first episode of that. It was great.
It's like a love story thing and this picks up
three years later from the second season. It involves I
can't remember that the actor and the actress that the
(18:02):
real life husband and wife. They wrote the show together
and they star as the main two. That's really great.
Yeh half an hour of really great Aussie humor and
four busies out of five teams in plus Colin from accounts.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Great stuff mate. Now coming up after five o'clock, a
bit of controversy with old Jetstar and as Mog you
just mentioned, we're going to be having the Stars of Settling,
that is Paksasati and Hannah Marshall. After five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
The whole Ching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Welcome back your messive backbones. Hope your Thursday's going along
very nicely. Indeed you are listening to the Big Show
brought to you by Reboog.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
You crave worthy street food freshly made with Reburger.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
How you do it? Yeah? Did you end up getting
Reburger last night? Because you were thinking about it? Because
you were very hungover and you were I need some
rebook at you now.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
My wife, I love Dearly Love Sue on a Sunday
plan the entire week's menu right, which is really nice.
And so yesterday I was so hungover that all I
felt like was some Reburger And I text her and
I said, hey, I'm pretty sure. I remember you saying
we were having rebururger tonight, and then she said, I
forgot to get the meat out of the freezer, so yeah,
(19:24):
go ahead have reburgo.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Ah, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yes, I had rebug it and I was stoked.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Did she not have it? Was she?
Speaker 3 (19:31):
I ended up? She said no, I'm okay, and then
I brought her home so manywhere that she had it.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Well, you can't help it once it's there. Feelings tucking
in enough. My wife is out just temporarily tonight, and
so she was like, what are you gonna have dinner?
And I said, know ye yet.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Definitely one thing he's not that hates it.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
You were saying, you Jo, how was I'll wear the hat?
Speaker 2 (19:56):
But no, I love me read bigger. Yeah, that's good stuff.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
True story. Mogi Jay said to me today on the
way in, I had to stop myself from getting a
hot pot for lunch today.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
I did and I did myself. Well done, man, Thank you.
We'll just run down. But then my wife's away tonight.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
So what does that mean? It means that means nothing,
but you should be able to. All you have to
do is if you can get through this weekend, Jay,
she'll be home and hose. Brother, Oh, home and hose.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
It was a long way away your chances. You know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Wait, so your wife's away, what are you having?
Speaker 2 (20:30):
I'm not sure yet.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Do you have a hot pot?
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Wife?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Gone? No, she's not away for the night, just briefly
during dinner time. So I'm just She said, well, you
get whatever you want, and I was like, yeah, okay,
so what are you going to get hot? We'll see
how we go because before.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Literally like a minute ago, you said you have reburger.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
We'll see how we goes.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Green Day, Yeah, I think so the whole I keep
Big Show with Jas, Mike and Keyzy. Tune in week
days and four on radio.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Hold I Lincoln Park there on the Hodaki Big Show
this Thursday afternoon. The time is twelve minutes past five o'clock.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
This is breaking news, fellows, have got a big one
here for you, very big news. JETSTA has changed its
rules and will now be charging for carry on luggage. Yeah,
they're both domestically and internationally. How much you regn you
pay Fordy Joe, well, both of you to take a
(21:31):
little bag on there and put it in the overhead lockers,
which will otherwise sit empty. Either're there anyway, Yes, they're
there anyway. How much would you pay for the privilege?
Twenty backs?
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Yeah, yeah, I'm assuming it's twenty twenty bucks.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
Yeah, yeah, thirty bucksy backs for these which is a
bag And.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
The good thing about that, which is really smart, is
no one flies and doesn't take a bag with them.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
This idea that you uncouple all the different services. Yes,
seat selection and food and carry on bag. No one
is just turning up on a plane and the clothes
that they wear.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Yeah, so as someone and Jason, you wouldn't You've never
been to Europe, right, So Ryan Air for example, on
the discount airlines over there, they make it so if
you want to be able to talk to someone and
check in physically and not do it on your phone,
that you have to pay extra for that. And they
do the carry on as well. You have to pay
not only for carry on that you have to pay
(22:28):
extra on top of that if you want to put
it above you otherwise you have to have it under
the seat and firsture. And so it's just outrageous.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
I think Jetstar has got a bloody check thank you
asking for that. Of all the airlines, come on I mean,
having said that, I'll often see people going on to
a plane, not necessarily Jetstar and just taking that past
a little bit in terms of carrying.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
But they're super strict on it. They weigh and make
it jets.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yes, so well they had it actually recently I think
at the well into the airport where people were fuming
because I haven't getten charged because the seven kilo bag
was over the seven kilos. Yes, it ended up being
on the news and they had to replace the scales
because the scales were broken and were overs.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
It's too bad.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
But for international flights that charge goes up, I don't
know why, to sixty three dollars.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
And the great thing about that is abb like, it's
very unlikely that you're traveling domestically without a bag, but
it is pretty much never going to happen that you're
traveling internationally without a.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
Bag one hundred percent, unless you're an inmate, unless you're
con air and you've been handcuffed. She's got to buy police. Yes, yes,
so it's an interesting one. I mean, the defense is
that this is how it works over and you know,
Europe and in the US and all those sorts of things.
But the difference is there really is only Jetstar as
a low cost carrier, do you know what I mean?
(23:58):
In those other countries in Europe, there's there's five or
ten or with each other, so they're trying to find
different ways to compete, whereas here they're competing with themselves. Yeah,
but anyway, people will still go because I'll tell you what,
when you are on a short not notice flight and
you go to jet Star and you compare it with
a competition, they are still insanely cheap campared to what
(24:19):
what others offer.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
With the carry on, most of the time they will
still be slightly cheaper. But if you're in a position
where you know, like I don't want to travel Jetstar
because the fact that they are charging me for carry on,
oh that just grinds my gears so much.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
But also there's another fee here. You can pay seventy
five dollars you get to have a turn flying it.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Oh how good, It's not bad. I'd be into there.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Yeah, oh that's not too bad. Three four three What
are your thoughts on that?
Speaker 4 (24:45):
For us?
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Text every text and the drawer for a fifty reburg
about you can also call us oh eight hundred hardaking.
May we sound like bloody shocking something?
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, we do, that's right, he's blank one A two.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
The Hurarchy Big Show was Mike and Keezy tune in
four on.
Speaker 2 (25:03):

Speaker 4 (25:37):
We've been through a lot of nicknames on the Big
Show with all out our fsue, some probably more than others.
But Edmund Boy used to be yours Keezy. Do you
remember that one?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Yeah? Sure do?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
What are your three goats jays?
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Now? It's controversy, isn't it? Because I'm under fire here
with my musical tool mate.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
This is this is completely except but this is your
own taste now suitable for hedache. You will find that, Yeah,
we will find out.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
And pugsn he was putting them together for me just before,
and he was shaking his head. He was just going, nah, man.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
I can see the ones you've chosen, and I think
you know those are good chunes.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
Yeah, okay, you're good. This this is a tune that
I've always enjoyed. It's just a great tune. Bit of kimbra.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Can I just say absolute?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
It is a tune.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
There's a lot of there's a lot of videos doing
the circle or there were a couple of months ago
of massive parties with people singing their heads after this,
like a thousand people in a very tight space. Yes,
it gives it. It gives a song a whole new life.
I love that song, so do I. I mean, we
don't play it on We never ever would You don't ever?
Never do you think that our listeners would like that tune?
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I reckon they would maybe ja Yeah, I mean we'll
never know because it never gets I do recall it
was played on here at one stage totally was was it. Now,
this tune is for me, I feel good tune. It
puts a bit of it, puts a bit of swish
in your tush, gives you a bit of a skipping
(27:24):
and jump Doobie Brothers.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
It isn't all time of that song that is long
train running.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
I'm actually disappointed at how much if it you've put in.
Jason's quite a lot of effort put in. You, thanks man,
because he doesn't like either of those songs. I love
both of those songs. Now this one, now, I will
get jip for this. But he's the man, He's the reverend.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
He's the sort of guy that I listened to on
a rainy winter's Sunday afternoon. I'm talking about the great
man himself, Nick Cave into my.
Speaker 8 (28:16):
Lord into I want to throw let's an absolute tune.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
He's such a great man, Nick Cave. He is. He's
a horrible life.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Yeah, he really is one of the one of the
worst lives.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Because I do believe his father actually was a right yes, right,
And he's a fiercely intelligent man and also massive addiction issues.
But and just here some tragic stuff happening in his life.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Pretty enus. One of the great things about him. One
of you know, I've never been a big fan. I've
never listened to albums or anything like that of Nick Cave's,
but I'm sort of a big fan of who he
is as a person. I've I always found it a
bit depressing the music, yes, but I've come to like
it more and more as I've gotten older. But even
(29:11):
during his years have been addicted, severely addicted to heroin
in the in the late seventies and eighties, he would
get up every day and he would sit at a
desk and he would write from nine till five.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
He treated it like a job.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Yes, So he took his art seriously, and that's always
been something that I've really admired about him. A really tragic,
tragic life. Yes, lost lost two of his sons. And
I saw him at a speaking event down in Wellington
where he played music and also answered questions from from
the audience. And I was sitting there thinking it was
tragically lost, you know, without going into too much detail,
(29:45):
and it was very, very recent, and I was sitting
there thinking, please please nobody ask him about his sons,
you know. Yes, we're at that stage as one son,
and of course the person sitting right next to my
wife stood up and that was the very first question
I asked. And I was just absolutely mortified. And he
handled it with absolute grace. Yeah, intense understanding and heart
(30:11):
and you know what a tragedy to have have had
happened to him, and he was just he was incredible
about it. So he was sharing in his grief and
also in the way that he handled it. He's an
amazing human being musician. He is never I've not listened
to a lot of them either. So he the one
who's like brother or something sleeps upside down?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Not that I recall, Oh.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Bat Cave, I'm thinking of a different guy. He don't forget.
Vote on the go Tigs go to three four eight three.
We're going to rip it in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Time The hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and
Kyzy tune in week days at four on Radio Holds.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Indeed, We's are there on the hold Key Big Show.
This glorious Thursday Afternoon. A special treats some very special
guests on the show with us today Paksasadi and Hannah
Marshall Tonight in fact tonight in fact releasing the new
show Settled. How are you.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
Time I come in to talk to you?
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Guys?
Speaker 6 (31:24):
You yell at me, yell.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
It's so exciting to see you.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
I think.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
I'm very excited to seek It is very exciting news. So, fellows,
how are you feeling about It's always a bit nerve
wracking when your show's about to go and be shown
to the general public.
Speaker 6 (31:42):
How do you feel about it, Hannah?
Speaker 5 (31:43):
I mean, I feel a little bit nervous, but I
am excited, like I'm really proud of the show.
Speaker 9 (31:49):
I'm very proud of it too. I have an unearned
confidence about everything I.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Do, and it makes me feel more confident.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Well, can I just say this, Old Mogi's had a
bit of a preview. Yes, he's seen a couple of
episodes and he won't shut up about it. He's been
what hilarical for hour after hour after hour? He loved it,
and I did.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
But before we get into my opinion of it one
way or the other, why don't you tell us what
it's about?
Speaker 6 (32:18):
Hannah?
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Oh God, Okay. It's about two friends, one called Harry
Harriet my character and sal sealman Packs's character, who were
friends in high school. Then they kind of and they
drift apart. But they make a pact when they're like
fifteen years old, if they're not married by the time
they're thirty five, they will marry each other, a pact
that I have done. I'm sure many of us have.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
I've done it, having like a backup plan.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Yeah, where is that person right now?
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I haven't seen them in fifteen years?
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Right?
Speaker 9 (32:43):
Really?
Speaker 2 (32:44):
What year was it that you were going to marry that?
Speaker 3 (32:45):
It was popular year thirteen?
Speaker 4 (32:48):
How old were you going to be when you said
if we get to what age?
Speaker 3 (32:51):
I think it was forty?
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Yeah, and you still have regrets? Say, keasy, well not really, I've.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Got five years.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
So yeah, are you in a committed relation married?
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Are you willing to burn that bridge to.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
At this stage it's all g Yeah, who knows? You're
married for three years, given.
Speaker 9 (33:11):
Another three given another three or four years years.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah. So they make a pack with each other that
if we're not with anyone by the time we're forty,
we're going.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
To get We're going to get together, and then we
life happens, we drift apart, and then we reconnected a
high school reunion, and our lives are both love lives
are kind of imploded in different ways, ins in tatters,
and we decided to make good on the packs because
we're like, why not.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
It is an interesting thing. We've got actors packs of
Sati had a marshall here with the new show Settled.
Are Settling starts tonight on three.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Inead come on.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
But it's an interesting thing, right you say, oh, where
is that person that you had that get packed with?
You know, throughout your life you always go, I wonder
what happened to this person? All that person I had
a crush on high school? Wonder they are at now?
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (34:02):
It is a really good one and sort of, you know,
similarly similar to your character in this pack, you sort
of you're a little bit dye because it starts with
the flashback and you're a little bit di eyed for
Hannah's character. And that was kind of the way it
was for me when I made a similar pack that
it was just sort of to get her tried to
start thinking about me as a possibility. I was absolutely desperate.
(34:25):
But then when the thirty years came around and it
was like what do we do, It's like, no, I'm
makes you quite happy with my life. Now I'm just
going to leave it.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
I remember it, so I.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Rejected her to get Did that feel good?
Speaker 2 (34:38):
No? Can I ask in the backstory, if it's not
getting too much away when you were teenagers in the
back story story world of real life story world, was
there a simmering passion? Was there a simmering tension between.
Speaker 9 (34:52):
Your two characters interesting? I think on my character's part
a bit more. Yes, but I think but it's always
way more key. But I think it was mutual to
a degree for both sides.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yes, definitely.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
They're like best friends. And we talked a lot about
this with the backstory of those two, like what they're like,
how savvy they were with like Harry, you know, no
guys liked her in high school aka me, and you know,
it was like drawing on that kind of thing. So
this was her best friend.
Speaker 6 (35:24):
It wasn't like we've.
Speaker 9 (35:25):
Drawn a lot from real life as well. In real
life we were also both said said loaners.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Can I just say that there is a moment and
we'll go to a song and we'll go.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
But there is there's a moment in that flashback, and
it's quite early on in the fist episode, and it
made me think, this shows for me you were die
wide here and your your character was for the local
you know, for the local stud or.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Any sort of sea.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Gooday to you, Pex and to you, he said, I
think something along the lines of get a rangerer and
is right down down my alleyway when it comes to
sense of humor.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
I love that.
Speaker 9 (36:02):
That one took a lot of takes as well to
get right. We just wanted the cadence right. Yes, he
was giving us rang a and we wanted ranger because.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
That's a real trigger. As I read it, that was
and we put it was like, no, I know this life, Yes,
this is this sounds appropriately hurtful.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Yeah, should we go to a tune? Guys're so keasy,
We'll go to the Black Keys, Gold on the Ceiling
and we'll come back with more packs than Hannah.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
After that, the Hierarchy Big show was Jason, Mike and
Kezy tune in four.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
On Radio the Black Keys. There on the Hadarki Big
Show this Thursday evening, we have actors Paksasati and Hannah
Marshall who have just released their news show Settling, coming
out tonight on three Now. Now. The premise of the
story is pretty much two mates at high school who
make a pact with each other that if they're not
(36:52):
with anyone by the time they're thirty five, then they
get together.
Speaker 6 (36:56):
Yes, that's one hundred percent right, great idea for a story.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
What I'm fascinating about that because I got four daughters.
Oh yeah, and yes I do. Yeah, I know that.
How old thirty twenty nine, twenty seven, and eighteen. My wow,
But oh yeah, I'm intrigued by that.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
Sounds like a fun show.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
You know, because the pressures of society, you know what
I mean, that element of it. You know, this age,
by god, you should be doing this, by now, you
should have kids, you should be married, all that kind
of pressure. Totally.
Speaker 9 (37:31):
I think that was a core driving like story element
as well as that both characters felt the sense of
pressure in their own ways. Like Harriet's character, there's a
lot of like stigma on women that are not shocked
up by a certain age. You start making assumptions around, like, well,
what's wrong with her like blah blah blah. As as
a Pakistani man, you know, all the assumptions around, like
you know, disgrace to the family and all that kind
(37:53):
of stuff. So yeah, those kind of pressures were definitely
driving for them.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
Further to that, like we talked about the financial pressures
of being on your own, like how you afford like
to buy a house. Buying one on your own.
Speaker 6 (38:04):
Is so hard.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
Like we're still sort of like as a society geared
towards couple them and like particularly like I lived overseas
for a bit and then coming home, it was like
so many people are married and kids and if you
don't have that at a certain age, you're sort of
like d away. Yeah, you can kind of feel a
bit lost, like you know, finding your your people.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Just Confirming Settling, which comes out to not eight thirty
on three and is available on three now. It's comedy.
Speaker 9 (38:27):
Oh yeah, yes, yeah, it's too many jokes.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yeah, wow, I thought the right amount of jokes. I
came along and saw it last night, the first two episodes,
and what a relief. What a relief, because you can
go along and see things and they're terrible and you
just have to leave.
Speaker 9 (38:43):
Yeah, you do have to be first out to do it,
and you've got to smile and just get out as
quickly as possible.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Gotta lie, you gotta lie. And also it's really hard
to do pilots. We were talking about this last night.
That is probably the hardest thing. We talk about it
quite a lot on the show, because you've got to
you're trying to gem and all the information about who
everybody is and where they're coming from and all that
sort of stuff, and oftentimes it just feels like you've
been given information but it's not being told in any
kind of entertaining way.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
But there was.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
It's a really funny show, and I think a big
part of it obviously is the writing and you guys's cast,
but that's a supporting cast is out the gate as well.
Tell us about who else? Who else you've got?
Speaker 9 (39:20):
Oh my god, we've got We've got a supporting cast
that we did not expect to get when we were
writing the show.
Speaker 5 (39:25):
Yeah, like, so Buller.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Show show.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
So plays my character's best friend.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
My husband, David Delatore, my love interest, bad love interest
pretty well?
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Can I can?
Speaker 4 (39:40):
I just say there was a brief moment where there's
Chad about old Mogie myself playing that role. Yes, and
then and then and then I saw the show and
I thought, oh no, no, nobody does this kind of
sleeves or quite like David.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
So I was actually quite relieved to get it because
he nailed it.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
Didn't believe he could nail it.
Speaker 9 (40:00):
You playing golf together before we cast him, and he
was just a lovely guy.
Speaker 6 (40:04):
Yes, And I was like, he's too nice.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
How was he going to be?
Speaker 6 (40:07):
And it was like he does.
Speaker 9 (40:08):
This thing trust trust acting where he turned into a
different person.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
I don't get it.
Speaker 9 (40:15):
This doesn't make any sense. But yeah, David's awesome, Bueller's awesome.
Speaker 6 (40:19):
We've got hair.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Listen to hair.
Speaker 5 (40:22):
Award Leyland and Michael Hurst play my parents so funny,
mother and father of the nation.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Who else? Oh god? Such a well?
Speaker 4 (40:30):
Who's another interesting point? And Casey is going to absolutely
froth this. Can you tell us who your narrator is?
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (40:38):
Can you guess?
Speaker 9 (40:39):
I want you to do three guesses, big American name
and a big American Well.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
He's also keep in mind we've got about thirty seconds
week before.
Speaker 9 (40:51):
Ron Howard, No one more again, Tom Hank, No one
more Black.
Speaker 6 (40:55):
No, it's Rain Wilson from the office.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Oh cool, what what's true? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (41:00):
Less excited than I thought he would be.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Yeah, true.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
My first gist was going to be Stephen Fry, who
was like my whole time.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
Yeah, and we wanted a voice that felt that was international,
that wasn't he we and that you know. But we
talked about Stephen Fry because the chase that features in
the show, and we're like a British like and were
you can't get Stephen Fry, but you Ray.
Speaker 9 (41:25):
I'm friends with Rain through random different ways and I
had him up and he said send me the script
and I sent them the script and he hit me
up the next thing and was like, I want to
do it.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
How good? Incredible?
Speaker 4 (41:37):
It really is a fantastic show. And the other thing
is I wouldn't asked you to come Ben if it
sucked too.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:42):
But having that, I've only seen the first two episodes,
it may very well.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
And then it picks up for a bit.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
And it's no good. Hannah Marshall, The show is called Settling.
It's on to eight thirty three.
Speaker 6 (42:01):
Now, three now and three linear.
Speaker 3 (42:03):
If you still that's still your vibe, Yes, people vibe
them one hundred cents called Setling. Actually check it out.
Six episodes comedy. I'm excited to watch it. Guys, Well done, achievement,
Thank you.

can't keep on beckering amongst the team. Yeah, Keysy in
particular is very unhappy about it. I think it's just
a bit of a as well, and I think you
do as well, Jace. So it's quite simple. You put
it to the people. Every every big polers are binding referreingum,
(45:43):
so we're just going to see how they're voted and
stick with it.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
My only question is what does the split need to be.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
That's right?
Speaker 2 (45:50):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (45:50):
So also here joining us as producer, Pugs, Pugs evening fellas.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
Thanks for having me a pleasure men.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
So I guess what the reason Pug is it is.
The way it will work is if Jason is banned,
I guess Pugs would take that third spot.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
Okay, is that how it works?
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Well, I'm just assuming and Pugs, you know, for you
to have the honor of choosing a song every week
for the listeners to vote on. You need to play
it on the radio. How does that make you feel?
Speaker 10 (46:15):
Obviously it would be a great honor, fellas. But I
do think that that doesn't mean that I'm totally unbiased,
because obviously I love the honor, and I think that's
important to take into account and this debate. Yeah, because
obviously I have a steak here. Yeah, he does the throbber.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
But the reason what you in here was I just
wanted you to say, how exciting of an opportunity. No,
I love great, I love doing that.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Thank you. That's what we need. It's going to be
douche doche What does that mean? It's all.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
What does that mean his tunes? Yeah, it'll be Yeah,
I mean it'd be very yummy. Okay, So what is
the what does the split need to be?
Speaker 2 (46:49):
So ad I reckon eighty twenty?
Speaker 4 (46:52):
I agree, previously has been eighty twenty.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
Yes, so it's got to be aighty that says no,
he's got to go.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
Says yes he is banned, yesh banned. See, I personally
think it should just be even if it's fifty one
forty nine, I think we should at least ban you
for one week.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Okay, I disagree. It's eighty twenty. Every time we've done
it's been eighty twenty. Okay, was that for a full
time ban or just for one week?
Speaker 3 (47:20):
You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
Well, yeah, we haven't done that before, and so I
think because we haven't stipulated that and previously it has
always been eighty twenty, that it needs to remain eighty twenty.
I think it would be unfeater Jays to change the
rules at the slate stage.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Yeah, thank you, Morgi.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
You are such a all right cool Well, let's go
to the result. The official result of the Hidarky Big poll.
Should Jase be banned from the Friday Throbber fifty three percent?
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Yes, Oh yeah, I knew. I knew that peeps would
have my back.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
So fifty three percent of half our listeners still want
you to be banned from the Throbber.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Can I just say I I just feel very humbled
by your support. I knew the people backed me. I
never doubted it.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
They literally evaded him out big.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
And you know it as always on a Friday, fellows
very much looking forward to the Throbber boy withold old
Hoidy j have a banner.
Speaker 4 (48:19):
I do wonder maybe the next big part we do
is should Keesy be banned from the throat?
Speaker 2 (48:23):
Thank you Bogie?
Speaker 3 (48:28):
Yeah, trying too hard, enjoying it too much?
Speaker 2 (48:32):
Sorry about that parts You'll just have to wait on
the line, mate.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
Sorry over here mate.
Speaker 10 (48:35):
As I said, I would to be biased, but also
Jace much to think about.
Speaker 4 (48:38):
Fifty three percent.

things that aren't really they are don't belonging to be.
