Get a mogie, you absolute stealionother man, you're looking. I'm
a little weary today. X you gotta be honest, a
little haggard, but I like that look on you. A study.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
You made dog, as they say in France, Jace we
we you're going pretty grassy.

Speaker 7 (01:25):
Your made dog here, sixth son of a bee.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
God.

Speaker 7 (01:27):
Doesn't it just get your your loins going? There?

Speaker 6 (01:30):
Sure does? Man.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Bit of symbols there and dear yeah going pretty grass
had a bit of a shitter on the odd sweep
department last night, but hey man, I'm here for a
few hours.

Speaker 7 (01:39):
Yeah, yeah, for a good time, not a long time,
and I'm just absolutely frothing to get involved today. Of course,
a little bit of football this morning as well, fellow
as a second SEV final England versus Argentina. I saw
some foots kicks off at seven. I was watching something
last night though, was saying that Argentina is a protected
species and he has been right from the start. Mother's
football will from the drawer all the way through, right,

(02:02):
and that the referee is particularly biased towards them. So
it'll be interesting to just see if that in mind
when you're watching the game.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
I tell you what, it's going to be, absolutely going off.
Apparently you've got old Beck and Dilly are going to
be at a pub around the place, and so we'll
be crossing to them to get the vibe. Keysy, they've
been there all night, have that.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yeah that sounds about right, So yeah, we'll cross live
to them. There's a pub downtown where all the fans go. Well,
there's plenty of pubs, but this one in particular, right,
I really switches it on. And to be honest, I'm
very jealous of England fans today. Yeah, you know, like
I feel like football just means so much to them
and they haven't won a World Cup since the.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
Sixties, nineteen sixty six, I believe, wavery two years.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Even when the Euros are on and they just go
massive it's coming home and they're singing all the songs
and they fail. But like the Semis, this is a
huge achievement for England football and the fans will be just.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
It's quite tricky, isn't it. Yeah, it's a tricky one
because I sort of feel for them and I am
almost root for them because I like English people one
on one, I do same. But their fans are just
mongrels and they wouldn't be good winners, do you know
what I mean about that big shock?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
And they were terrible when they lost the penalty shootout
a few years ago.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
You know.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
But as I've said this before, a lot of the
UK comedians and things that I really like, they love it. Yeah,
and I want them to be stoked, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 6 (03:24):
Jace?

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Yes, how are you?

Speaker 8 (03:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (03:27):
I'm very good things fellows. I was saying to Moogi
when I skipped into work today. My body, I think,
is finally fully adjusted to breakfast. So I'm feeling pretty
good looking forward to the show, and it's going to
be an absolute doozy. But let's kick off with a

Telling us how used to it.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
He's getting to breakfast and now he's laid a massive steam.
Didn't massively give that intro death either.

I'd look an absolute fool right now?

some strawberries. She did the same thing again last night.
She prepped it all and it's in the fridge there

Do you want me to do this?

Speaker 11 (13:38):
I'll do the sport headlines next hour and poem.

Speaker 6 (13:41):

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Let's hope the poem sting plays again.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
There's smashing pumpkins.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodges.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
Indeed, smashing pumpkins there on the Big Show Breakfast this
Thursday morning. The time is six thirty five. And of
course the football World Cup going on as we speak today,
the second semi final England versus Argentina. We asked and
posed the question where are you watching it? What's the
sort of plane here this morning?

Speaker 4 (14:13):
That's what you can text it through on three four
eight three. A lot of people listening to this being
new Zealand will be like, oh, I don't like soccer.
I like rugby, and that's fine.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
Yeah, that's all g.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
But you have to also appreciate the fact that the
Football World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the
entire world. It's the most played sport and it's the
pinnacle of the most played sport in the world.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I mean, I'm one.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
Of those people that likes the sporting occasion for the
sort of grangeur of it, you know, the spectacle of it.
I mean, having said that, I do enjoy what watching soccer,
but even if I didn't, I think I'd still enjoy
it just for the spectacle.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Well, billions of people around the world have been excited
about this tournament. I personally do not like watching football,
but I'm fizzed up for it now because it means
a lot to a lot of people.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
Have you fizzed up because it means you can get
on the b is he's keysy.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
I don't need the World Cup Final to be getting
on the busies, Jesse. Yeah, no, true, A lot of
ticks coming in on three four eight three. Josh is
having a banana up and going a dirry on the
way to the pub. Come on, England.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Look, I can't do banana.

Speaker 7 (15:15):
No, not banana.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
But it's not you that's doing it. It's Josh.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
I like the uniforms.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Well, if that's the reason you watch them, that's good man.
As long as you're you know, enjoy.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Can you imagine and the dudes, can you imagine the
merch sales for a tournament like this, by the way,
incidentally feels there'll be billions of dollars because you're you're
the sort of guy. Yeah, I mean you guys like
buying warriors' shirts and stuff like that. You'd be all
over this. I mean, if you had a choice, Keezy,

(15:49):
what what shirt would you go with?

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I guess in all whites?

Speaker 6 (15:55):
One?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Lots of people Peter hear him and the fam going
to Tyler Street to watch the foot gets coming home.
Another England fans. Oh yeah, someone who's planning to cause
a major workplace accident just before kickoff, which is seven.
Another person actually is Hoduki's very own Big Sandy's from
the Day Show. Here, she's down at I believe switch up?

Speaker 7 (16:14):
Is that right?

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Beck?

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Yeah, I'm a sweatshop brew kitchen and it is packed.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yeah, because it's you know, it's six thirty seven on
a Thursday morning, and that is a pub that usually
has packed at about two am in the morning back
on a Saturday. How many people would you say there?

Speaker 8 (16:31):
At least counselor hundred? Is it's a little bit of
standing room, but she is.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
I mean there's a lot.

Speaker 8 (16:38):
Of England supporters here.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
I haven't seen any shirt from Argentina.

Speaker 6 (16:42):
I was actually going to ask you what's the split
there in terms of the fans, but you're saying predominantly
English predominant.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
There are a lot of England flags, there's a lot
of white and red face paints. Yeah, yeah, I mean
I'm sure so I can't see over the heads of
many people, just seeing the backs of people, and it
seems to be all England.

Speaker 7 (17:02):
Are you using the semi final as an excuse to
rip heaps of darts?

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Beck Ah?

Speaker 8 (17:08):
Yeah, yeah, I'm on the balcony at the moment. What
did I have for breakfast? I had anti drink and
a dart?

Speaker 6 (17:16):
Yeah, beautiful, beautiful. It's funny, is it? Because we were
talking earlier Fellers, weren't we about how passionate the English
supporters were? The other day, while I was wandering around
in the CBD. It was I don't know, ten in
the morning something like that, and England must have been
playing because there was a pack of about twenty English
fans at absolutely steamed how good, So obviously there had

(17:39):
been a game going on.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
I beg, are people steamed already at the pub?

Speaker 8 (17:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
I mean there's people with empty jugs, well, empty glasses
already and I've only been here seven minutes, so I
don't know what time they got here, but they're enthusiastic.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
I love that, you know what I mean. I mean,
obviously responsibly and all that sort of stuff, but I
love the fact that it's six thirty nine and people
are already cracking in on a Thursday. It's going to
be awesome. Big Sandy, thank you so much for joining us.
Have a lovely morning, enjoy the game.

Speaker 6 (18:04):
I will go, thanks mate.

Speaker 1 (18:07):

The other supporting act is a band with a swear
word in the title so you can't actually read it
on the radio.

Speaker 7 (18:56):
I haven't heard of them before, Tropical if Storm. Yeah,
it's a weird one, doesn't it. You put yourself in
a box.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
You put a swear word in the name of your
band and it's kind of hard to get mentioned anywhere.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Yeah, very very good though.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
I can't wait to hear them and find out what
they're actually like and then talk to you about it.
Then you obviously have never heard them before.

Speaker 6 (19:15):
They are amazing. I love their song heavy Rain.

Speaker 7 (19:19):
Oh is that your favorite?

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Is that a real song. Yes, have you googled it? No,
there's no way you know a song from Tropical Evstorm.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (19:29):
Yesterday Queens of the stone Age released a new single
entitled easy Street, A bit more of a ballad. It's
a lovely little number Josh got. He's got their minim
and it's he's singing along with a lovely lady there.
So it looks like they'll have a new album between
now and the and the concert in December, which will
be a bloody beardy.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
I'm a big fan of the old ballad. You know,
what do you say, old misery?

Speaker 7 (19:54):
Gats? Isn't it any kind of misery?

Speaker 6 (19:57):
Really depressing? Yeah, you know, tugs on the heart strings.
I absolutely love it.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Tropical f Storm or TFEZ does not have a song
called heavy Rain.

Speaker 6 (20:09):
Oh they only just released it this morning.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Come on, Jason Man, just drop it then once again,
Queen's of the stone Age coming to Auckland one show
only at the Stage Spark Arena, son of the twentieth
of December, Livenation, dot co, dot m Z for tickets
this Monday, one pm.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
Great stuff coming up after seven, boy, there's some drama
that's hit the country. Fellas, we'll be getting into that.
And speaking of trade ees, God, I had an absolute
debacle yesterday.

Speaker 1 (20:37):

Yim men. Very excited about this match, Fellas. My worrying
concern is I'm going to be highly distracted for the
rest of the show.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Well, you would be, except for the channel that it's
usually on on the TV.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
Yeah, what's going on there?

Speaker 4 (21:15):
What happens is someone someone upstairs logs in thin stream
Bogsy logs in and it streams to everyone in the
radio studios here, so we can keep sat across it.
Whoever's in charge of that hasn't actually come and logged
in it yet, right, I'll just google it, hang on.

Speaker 7 (21:31):
Get you googlers out.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
Well, what we could do is, you know, if we
can't get it, is get the audience on three four
eight three to text through what's happening minute by minutes
at all at the so it's actually started. We do
have a couple of backbones from the hod A Key
office down at the bar. What's the bar called?

Speaker 4 (21:48):
Switch Up Sweatshop.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
So we'll be crossing to them intermittently, yes, through throughout
the morning. But I believe coming up next, Keysy, you've
got some Keysy new news.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Yeah that's right, some important Keysy news. What's it called?
What's in the news with me? Keysy? It's no news
to do with my personal life.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Oh ah, yeah, that's not as exciting thing. But at
the meantime, here's Red.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Chilli Peppers, the Darky Big Show was Jason, Mike and
Keyzy tune in four on radio.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
Yes, indeed the Red Chilli Peppers there on the radio
Hodaki Big Show. Breakfast at the moment, eight minutes gone
between England and Gentina, Love Love, Yes, But right now
it's time for.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
What's on the news with me? Kimzy Fellers H five
N one has been found in New Zealand. Hadden bird
flu Ah. There was a bird down in Patoni there
which is down in Wellington, a wild bird that was
acting weird. So they took it to the zoom tested
at boom bird flu.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
What was it doing? Uh?

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Wow, I don't know. I wasn't there, but I said
it wasn't acting in the way that a normal wild
bird would act.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
Really.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
Yeah, maybe it was being pretty chill.

Speaker 7 (23:08):
Yeah, I think it was so chill that it was dead.
I think they're tfty migrating birds. Oh really, I think
so that is weird. Seen that before it.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Did bird So basically, the way bird flu works is
it does mostly infect birds, but it can wipe out
you know, like if it gets into the mix with
our a native species, you know, that could be very
beat our endangered birds. Oh really, it could be really bad.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
It has the MOA.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Well, the moa is already the more has already gone
Mogi bird flu maybe. And there's no sort of history
of it moving from human to human yet. Humans can
get it from interacting with birds, but human to human transmission.
There aren't any cases of that happening, which is good.

Speaker 6 (24:02):
I think people, though, you know, in that context, should
stay alert, you know what I mean. I think it's
important to just you know, chin out for well, I mean,
if you start, for example, picking at your food. Yeah,
that's right, Um.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
If you start being a picky eater, is what you mean?

Speaker 6 (24:23):
Well, it's more specifically picking, not pecky. Well I suppose
it would be. You could characterize it as pecky.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, yeah, if you see someone picking
at their food. But I mean this could be really
devastating for you know, poultry, the poultry industry, for example,
forgets into one of them chicken sheds.

Speaker 7 (24:45):
Oh man, that's she's lights out, wipes out all the chickens.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Yeah, Mogi spot on.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
In terms of human though, I mean keeping an eye
out if you find yourself wanting to.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Roost, yes, you know, just what do you say about
roost like trees? And that's funny actually because my next
door neighbor. I saw my next door neighbor. He was
up a tree. He's too old for that, Yeah sick.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
Did he have like straws and stuff in his mouth
or toes.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
And his toes he dropped a steamer on his cars
car was parked on the road there.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Oh but yeah, so just look, if you see any
birds acting weird.

Speaker 7 (25:34):
How of a mess shocking?

Speaker 6 (25:38):
Will you say he like he's fond of the hot pot,
your neighbor, And.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
That's the news you need to be across this Thursday morning.
Do you like Pluto?

Speaker 6 (25:52):
That's great news, that's terrible news. Well, I mean in
terms of keeping keeping people across stuff.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
Yeah, cool.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Thanks the hold aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.

Speaker 10 (26:07):
Tune in week days at four on Radio Pluto.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
There on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The
time is sixteen minutes past seven o'clock at the moment
in the football still mil Nell after fifteen minutes. Now, Fellas,
we love our tradeing, chat and true story. Yesterday I
had two trade's come and visit my what the trades? Well,

(26:31):
one was an electrician, Oh yeah, why bender?

Speaker 4 (26:36):
What was it?

Speaker 6 (26:37):
Wyre monkey monkey? Yeah yeah? And the other was a
refrigerator guy. I don't know what that trade is, cliants
person technician.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Yeah right, And obviously you're a part of fridge jerk.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
They were called yeah, yeah, a fridge idiot.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
That's right, Yeah, a freezer loser. He was a lovely
guy though, by the way.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Yeah, this is just fun nicknames.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
And he taught me so much stuff about the fridge
that I never knew. But anyway, this is a true story.
So the electrician came over because we'd been having issues
with our lights, right, like the light bulbs weren't working.
They flick it right, No, they just weren't working. I
mean working, but there's there was like three or four

(27:27):
light bulbs, but no, I just don't know. They just
weren't working.

Speaker 7 (27:31):
Did you try to turn in the switch on?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Yes, and they still wouldn't work.

Speaker 6 (27:35):
And they still wouldn't work, and I was like, hang
it out. Yeah yeah, So straight onto the property manager
our lights, our light bulbs aren't working.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
You didn't even get off the couch, did you know?

Speaker 6 (27:50):
And they said, oh, that's all. G will sort that
for you. And I said thank you.

Speaker 7 (27:55):
So what did they say?

Speaker 6 (27:57):
They went, you're welcome and then what did you say?
I went, sweet?

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Did you ever hang upward? I was an email.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
Anyway, m So electrician turned up. This is true story
and he said, so what's the issue and I said,
my light bulbs aren't working. He said, well, have you
changed them? And I went nah. So I went on, okay, well, Lisa,

(28:32):
is that I'll do that for you? The yeah, that's
good because the other thing is that you wouldn't know
about me is I don't have a ladder.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
So you got that stip ladder in the kitchen.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
Yeah, but we're quite high ceilings in my apartment.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
And for the listens, they're actually regular ceilings.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
So he changed three light bulbs and turn the sweatshe on.

Speaker 7 (28:54):
Did that worked?

Speaker 6 (28:56):
They worked? That's crazy And I said, thanks for that, mate,
And my wife was like, it was a bit embarrassing.
We've got an electrician over to change the light bulbs.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
What was wrong with your fridge?

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Now?

Speaker 6 (29:06):
The fridge was making a kind of whirring grindy sound.
Oh yeah, intermittently, and also it was freezing up a
little bit inside. But that was like two weeks ago.
Since then it's been fine. But we let the property
manageer know via email Moogi that the fridge was playing

(29:30):
up a little bit, and she went, oh, no worries
at all. I'll sort that.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
I'll send a what is it.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
A technician, Yeah, a fridge technician. Yeah, yeah, a fridge loser. Yeah.
So he came over, true story, and it's working fine now.
As I say, it's been fine for two weeks.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
He wasted his time.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
Yeah, Well, he came up and he looked, he looked
over it and he said this, I can't see a
problem here. The temperatures fine, the fans working fine.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
What did you say?

Speaker 6 (29:58):
And I went sweet? And then he was like, your
ice maker's fine, and this is true. When we've got
an ice maker, that's.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
What's making the grinding noise.

Speaker 6 (30:09):
I was gonna say, we've got an ice smoke. You
caught it brown.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
It was the ice maker.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
And I was wondering why our ice container kept filling
up all the time, and I was like, are you
making ice? We've got an ice making machine. It's bloody
good dish. So it was a bit of an embarrassing
day for old hoodie Jay, you said, he but ah,
you know, that's just my life. Dandy.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarchy,
Sport headlines, Rodcom.

Speaker 9 (30:46):
Time for your later sport headlines thanks to Export Ultra
the beer for here. Now, fellas, I've got a week
surprise for you. I've done a poem, oh wow, And
I've done the sport headlines and a poem.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
All right, hang on, hang on an original poem from broom.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
Rod Thomas too kill knows. England now face their toughest
World Cup test in the race. Argentina await in Atlanta
today it's nell all with a final place up for play?

Speaker 6 (31:20):
How is that.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
Now?

Speaker 9 (31:23):
Kurdod by the way, the winner meats Spain. When Monday
rolls around Ryan Fox rhyme, Yeah, well I just forgot.

Speaker 7 (31:33):
Monday rolls around Hound. You could have made a green day.

Speaker 11 (31:36):
No, I could have.

Speaker 9 (31:37):
Ryan Fox won't over prepare as Golf's Open Championship gets underway.
There he missed the cut last year, so he's keeping
things light.

Speaker 7 (31:49):
So where is that? Where is that?

Speaker 9 (31:51):
That's at Royal Birkdale tonight? And finally in women's sport
today is you know we're big on that. FIFA has
been criticized for allowing Jennifer Hudson to sing the US
national anthem at the closing ceremony, term rost care.

Speaker 7 (32:13):
Jase, Have you dont anything to say about that? Man?

Speaker 6 (32:15):
I'm just disgusted man.

Speaker 7 (32:16):
Yeah, what part of it really gets you going? Because
I know that you've had an issue previously with Brent
Pumpkins's definition of what a woman's sport is and whether
she sings a national anthem. It's neither he nor the
Particularly the men's event is that woman's sport?

Speaker 6 (32:35):
That was going to be my point, Magie. That gets
deep inside my goat. That the only woman's sport that
seems to bring to the to the show. There's kind
of degradating in a way that's more a negative aspect
of women's sport as opposed to the celebration that it
should be.

Speaker 7 (32:55):
It minimizes their contribution.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
Thank You's singer though, Jennifer Hudson, very good, great woman,
very very good.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
Good stuff.

Speaker 11 (33:06):
Brian, thanks guys, love the poem.

Speaker 7 (33:08):
Yeah, she's got no side step on though, Bruin.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Now she runs it straight though.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Here's Jet.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.

Speaker 6 (33:26):
Isn't he Jet there? On the Big Show Breakfast this
Thursday morning? The time is seven thirty nine. The score
and the football at the moment nil all after thirty
nine minutes.

Speaker 7 (33:36):
Fellows, Fellers, I've got a I've got a cat, got
a cat at at New Year's there budget Chris Queer.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
And that was named by the hurdarky audience.

Speaker 7 (33:49):
That's right after you keazy from your teenage days when
because people at Breakfast, a lot of them wait no,
so we need to get them up to date. But
every day you walk to school in a bird would
take it.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
For one week as a joke. My friends at skill
called me birdshit cress. All right, it's a long story.
It's really lame. And now it's the name of your cat,
and my cat loves it.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Anyway.

Speaker 7 (34:13):
She's sort of got into an age now, she's probably
seven months oldish, and she started hunting. This is a
day I dreaded because animals, cats, obviously they're bringing bringing
trophies into the house. They give them to you to
sort of pay their rent. And what that is is,
you know, birds with no heads and mice with their
guts hanging out and all that sort of stuff. Tails,

(34:35):
thank you, and they sort of dragged it across your
couch and that's a gift.

Speaker 6 (34:40):
Cheers.

Speaker 7 (34:41):
So my cat started doing that. My cat's a massive,
basted already huge, and it started bringing in earthworms, bird flu,
It might have bird foot, it's acting weird.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
It might be yes, shit, so earth how big.

Speaker 7 (35:03):
A big enough to choke a blackbird? Yeah, sort of
about sort of nine inches nine inches or so. They're kasy,
but brings them in, drops them off in my daughter's
bedroom there because she's the she's the favored member of
the family. But I've got to admit that I'd rather

(35:24):
that than than birds or rats or anything like that.
And I'm hoping, I hoping it's not going to get worse,
But it don't get me thinking about what would be
the worst thing that your cat has brought in? Because
they bring in weird stuff.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Oh they do, yeah, they do.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
We're this cat Harry McCleary.

Speaker 6 (35:37):
Oh, I know.

Speaker 7 (35:38):
It was swinking, blinky, sorry, and that was bringing in
all sorts from around the neighbor neighborhood, like lingerie.

Speaker 6 (35:45):
Yeah, okay, yeah, a feaving cat. I back in the
when I was a teenager, we had our cat. Ginger
was her name, because she was Ginger and we're really
original at naming our animals. She used to do your rats,
et cetera. Cure. One day she brought in a cooney

(36:07):
cooney pig.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Wow, a baby one, no, full bore, full bore, Yeah,
like a giant cooney cooney pig. Yes, how did you
bring that in?

Speaker 6 (36:19):
Just dragged it in by the tail?

Speaker 7 (36:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (36:21):
By the tail was the pig?

Speaker 6 (36:23):
Did? Yes?

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (36:25):
Holy because that's huge.

Speaker 6 (36:27):
Yeah. They're big, big beasts.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
And they're not that great for eating.

Speaker 6 (36:30):
Oh they're not you just got to let the marinade
for a little while.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
The entire pig.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
Yes, So I think that would be the weirdest thing
of my cat.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
When I was growing up, our family cat and Totnguer
there on the avocado plantation, she'd bring in rabbits, rabbits
with the heads taken off.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
That.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
I don't believe that, because rabbits are really fast. Cats.
Cats are as fast as a rabbit. Come on, Keezy,
you're taking the pass.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
Just woken up man, Come on.

Speaker 4 (37:01):
His cat brought Yeah.

Speaker 7 (37:04):
Imagine you was bringing in all sorts, wasn't it.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
J Yeah, she was. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
I made it up, guys for attention. My cat didn't
really bring in rabbits and tried to, but they were
too fast. Jase, you were saying that your cat, Now,
what's your cat's? What's your cat called? Jezz yep.

Speaker 6 (37:24):
As named by the Radio Hodaki listeners to incidental There.

Speaker 7 (37:28):
Was your nickname curious and now you've moved into the CBD.
You're saying she dreaged in a homeless bloke.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
The hold Aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
tune in week days at four on Radio hold Aki Nirvana.

Speaker 6 (37:40):
They're on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The
time is seven fifty one half time in the football
zero zero nil, Nill Fellas was that in mine? We've
got an expert on the line commentator Jason pine Piney
a man barton, how's life morning? Boys?

Speaker 5 (37:59):
I can't believe it on a row, two mornings in
a row and you're esteemed company. It's quite the career highlight.
I must say.

Speaker 7 (38:06):
We just thought we'd better get you at halftime because
we know how you like slam and Bear's first thing
in the morning. Tiny.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
Yeah, well, I normally wait till halftime. You're actually dragging
me away. However, you'll have noticed the hydration breaks have
been introduced this year to the World Cup, so they'd
be very handy for that sort of thing.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Yes, totally, Piney, You've been having hydration breaks for years.

Speaker 7 (38:26):
Eh, right, exactly.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
The football is really incidental to me.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
It's hydration on there for now. Piney, if you on
that first half, Moggie was just saying, oh few, this
has got penalty shootout written all over it. But what
was your your center? That first half?

Speaker 5 (38:43):
Absolute street fight. These guys might as be out there
with baseball bats and ships and their socks. They are
just absolutely going at one another. You know, the ball
seems almost incidental at times. It was always going to
be a bit nikolie Argentina, a bit like that. England
trying to sort of stay and keep the moral high ground.
But yeah, it's a street fight.

Speaker 6 (39:01):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
It could go all the way to extra time and penalties.
Someone's going to get a red card in the second half.
I'm almost certain of it. It's a it's a tinder
box just waiting to go off.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
It is piney. Obviously we've got you've got England taking
on Argentina. England, you know, famously haven't won a World
Cup since the sixties, nineteen sixty six EASi, they famously
haven't won a World Cup since the sixties. The fans
are desperate. Every couple of years, it's coming home. It's
coming home. How do you feel about that? And who
are you going for?

Speaker 6 (39:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (39:31):
I don't know. I mean I'd almost like to see
what would happen if it didn't come home, because they
you know, and that hers has extended year sixty years
of herd could it be sixty four years? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (39:41):
Well, if it doesn't come home pioneer. I could see
a massively extended hydration break.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
Exactly, There'll be no work done for the next four years,
just hydration until the next one. Look, they could still
win the game, England. They could, They could win the game.
They could win it, you know, with a moment of
magic from Bellingham or from Cain. But they're just as
likely to fall victim to a moment of magic from Messi.
So look, you can't really call it one while or
the other. I'd like to see them go through just
so that the hydration break can be extended in England

(40:11):
until at least Monday.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
What about Leedo Messi obviously striker for Argentina. There just
the amount of World Cups he's been to, the amount
of games played, the amount of goals scored. At his age,
he's just a freak incredible.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Yeah, thirty nine years old, sixth World Cup, hasn't really
got into the game. England have been pretty good at
marshaling him. But he only needs one moment Messi. He's
done that plenty of times. Twenty one World Cup goals,
any number of attacking statue can reel off incredible players.
So yeah, he just needs one moment so England need
to make sure that he doesn't get that moment.

Speaker 6 (40:43):
Well, speaking of the tinder box, he got absolutely crunched
at one point sandwich between two players. It was a
nasty bit of play.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
Yeah, yeah, and I think that's sometimes the only way
to stop him is to do that, is to sort
of use the dark art if you like. But you know,
the lot of ye a better've had of it, a
street fighting, a bit of you know, sort of backhanded stuff.
But you know, he's seen it all before me. See,
he looks like a he looks like a guy who's

(41:14):
just sort of wandered into a football match, almost by
a mistake sometimes, but he's got this incredible ability to
turn games. So you got to keep him quiet somehow.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
And Piney before you that, you go, mate, what is
your prediction for the second half.

Speaker 5 (41:27):
I think we could still be going, you know, well
beyond the ninety into extra time. I think this has
got penalties written all over it actually, Like like Moggi said,
so look I I yeah, I don't think we're going
to be We're going to be focusing on anything else
anytime soon other than this game.

Speaker 6 (41:42):
No, Jason, pine your alligion, mate, Thanks for your time
and enjoy that second half. Good boys, Hey coming up,
real treat for you league. He's out. Yeah, we've got
Roger Tui Vasa Schick in studio with us. I can't
wait for as I am absolutely physic.

Speaker 1 (42:05):

around the house.

Speaker 4 (42:39):

Speaker 6 (42:45):
Just a few things to patch up.

Speaker 7 (42:46):
The thing I love about going into Bunnings is they
know you by a name.

Speaker 6 (42:51):
Yes, good E Mogi.

Speaker 7 (42:52):
Really I don't know their names.

Speaker 6 (42:56):
After some timber a hoodages.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
Sorry, you literally had an electrician come around yesterday to
replace light bulbs and you're buying timber Well.

Speaker 6 (43:06):
I don't do electrical stuff, but I do like to build.

Speaker 7 (43:11):
Isn't a wire bend? There are no, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
You're a hammer hand.

Speaker 6 (43:15):
If you want me to whip up a bookshelf, frut
on bit, whatever you want, if there's what involved, I'm in.

Speaker 4 (43:27):
Coming up a little later in the show, Fellers Roger
ty Bastership coming in.

Speaker 6 (43:32):
Yes, God, I'm excited about that.

Speaker 7 (43:34):
You can talk to them about how much you hate
the Warriors, Jase, I hate.

Speaker 6 (43:38):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (43:40):
Well, we've got a montage of all the times you've
said the suck and we're going to play that out
once we get Roger in the studio here.

Speaker 6 (43:50):
You haven't.

Speaker 4 (43:51):
Why would you be worried about that? I'm worried man,
So you've obviously bade them a lot. Then never Also,
coming up this hour, your ear out. If you hear
the pirates, give us a call on eight hundred Hadarchy
the pies that pay you could win two hundred and
fifty dollars thanks to Dad's past.

Speaker 6 (44:07):
Ye am, I going grab myself a part A.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
But peckish, here's the killer, stop lying about stuff.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
The whole Archy big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy
tune in weekdays and four on radio used.

Speaker 6 (44:20):
Indeed, the Killers now so close still nelll and the
Socker forty seven minutes gone.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
It's England v Argentina in the semi final of the
World Cup. Fellers. I've got a proposal for you. I
was thinking about this last night.

Speaker 7 (44:35):
Oh is it hot?

Speaker 4 (44:36):
No, but it's cool. Just it's a cool idea. We
work in radio, right h and podcasting at audio and
all that sort of stuff.

Speaker 6 (44:44):
This go gets it.

Speaker 4 (44:46):
We're on usually four pm till seven New Zealand Time weekdays,
but New Zealand Time happens at anytime around the world.
When I'm proposing the big show, all relocate to Italy, Japan,

(45:08):
where you wherever it might be, Vietnam, Jason, all of
us together Vietnam be good. You could get a house
and maybe over winter condo.

Speaker 6 (45:16):
Probably I'd go to condo.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
You're the expert over winter next year. You know, when
it's cold here, we relocate. We just get up at
whatever time it is. I haven't actually what's the time
difference to Vietnam.

Speaker 6 (45:29):
No, I can't remember.

Speaker 7 (45:30):
Actually, you put your watch away, you put your clock away, man,
when it's when you're in Vietnam.

Speaker 4 (45:37):
Yeah, but obviously for this proposal, there would be a
time role.

Speaker 7 (45:41):
It was just no time.

Speaker 4 (45:42):
Yes, but that's the whole point is there.

Speaker 6 (45:45):
We could become summer Bunny's keezy.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
The hell's a summer. But if you're not seen the
summer Bunny before, maybe you'll have to explain to me
what a summer.

Speaker 6 (45:55):
You know those people that just go from country, they
just catch the summer. They never go through winter.

Speaker 7 (46:00):
The sun Chases or summer Bunnies.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
Oh, summer bunny.

Speaker 5 (46:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (46:04):
Yeah, and we're just and the big show. You know,
wherever it is summer in the world, so in the
UK or something like that. At the moment, we ship
ourselves over there for the summer. Yeah, then when it
starts to change, we go to another place in the.

Speaker 4 (46:17):
World and it's awesome here where is it summer?

Speaker 7 (46:23):
No, we chase the surf.

Speaker 4 (46:25):
Surf chases, surf bunnies. What do you think we could
become surf bunnies. We chase the surf. And all we
have to do is that we might be on the
other side of the world and it might be three am.
That just so happens to me when we have to
wake up to do the show live. We've got the
technology pugs will bring the little briefcase with all the
stuff in it.

Speaker 7 (46:43):
Would we earn the local currency? Do you see what
I'm saying? Local numbers? You see what I mean?

Speaker 4 (46:50):
No, I think you'd still earn the same stuff. But
then you're you know, if you're in Vietnam, you could
be you know, you're betting paid quite well in New
Zealand dollars.

Speaker 7 (46:59):
What are you reckon?

Speaker 4 (47:00):
We can all do that.

Speaker 5 (47:01):
Well.

Speaker 7 (47:01):
The think about Liz Keesy I've gotten I'm keen as
a bean completely honestly, I would do this in a heartbeat.
I think they're probably going to have as getting it
past the bosses.

Speaker 4 (47:11):
They won't care, they won't even noticed. What we'll do
is we'll get three Menneicans and we're.

Speaker 7 (47:16):
Trying to bring back out lookalike competition.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
No, no, I'm not. We'll get three mennequins or like
stuffed sort of people.

Speaker 6 (47:25):
Stuffed people, okay, like.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
A teddy cutout version of a person. Put it there. Obviously,
Jason'll have a massive Honker Mogi, you know, bulgers whatever.
We'll pop them on the seats there. We could pay
someone to come every day and sit in the marp.

Speaker 7 (47:38):
Yeah, it's true.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
Pull the curtains down in the studio and just sort
of have like audio coming through. No no, no, no
no no, yeah, well I am. I would absolutely love
to do it.

Speaker 6 (47:47):
Amen should Yeah? Man? When next next summer?

Speaker 4 (47:53):
We're not We're chasing the surf. Surf, yeah, the next surf,
but do you know how to surf?

Speaker 6 (48:00):
Shit?

Speaker 1 (48:01):
Year the whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodaki. It's
Beer and Pied July on Radio Hodakis.

Speaker 6 (48:17):
Yes, indeed, I think Jason Pine is right, fellas I
reckon there's going to be a red card in this
match pretty shortly. The cards are beginning to come out,
and the play's getting more and more agro so fascinating stuff.
But that's not what this is about.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
This is about cash. Twenty thousand dollars Dad's pies have
given us to give away this Beer and Pied July.
Is the pies that pay you hear the pirates you
call us? Oh eight hundred HYDARKI in boom You get
your share two and fifty bucks straight away.

Speaker 6 (48:43):
Yeah, good stuff, Kisie. Let's go to the phone lines,
get a limb your mad bastard Hell's life.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
Oh how's it go and field?

Speaker 6 (48:51):
Yeah? Good? Thanks mate? Tell me Liam? What do you
do for a crust?

Speaker 5 (48:54):
I'm mentually a baker ahead Pine?

Speaker 4 (48:59):
Really am sure?

Speaker 5 (49:01):
I am?

Speaker 6 (49:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (49:02):
Where do you work?

Speaker 7 (49:03):
Mate?

Speaker 5 (49:04):
Just had Littleton Bakery there?

Speaker 4 (49:06):
Beautiful lives in Littleton as well. What a beautiful part
of the country that is.

Speaker 6 (49:09):
What's your sort of baking specialty? England's just scored sorry, Liam?

Speaker 5 (49:17):
England scored?

Speaker 6 (49:18):
Yes, they just.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Scoredland one nothing, England up over Argentina. So it was
your specialty there, Liam.

Speaker 5 (49:28):
Oh, you wouldn't believe it. Key, I like making pie.

Speaker 6 (49:33):
Now you sun. Just on a personal level, Liam, what's
a pie do you.

Speaker 12 (49:38):
Like to run with and enjoying at stake with garletform
and cheese sauce?

Speaker 6 (49:45):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (49:46):
That sounds fairy? Is that available at your bakery?

Speaker 6 (49:48):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (49:49):
You?

Speaker 6 (49:49):
Sure have come over?

Speaker 4 (49:51):
The good news is mate, you've got yourself two hundred
and fifty bucks.

Speaker 6 (49:55):
Oh let's go, yea man, get.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
On your mate goal and turning fifty bucks just like that, leam.
You have a great day, mate, you hold the line?

Speaker 7 (50:04):
How about that?

Speaker 6 (50:05):
How good? Men?

Speaker 4 (50:06):
That sounds like a bloody delicious little pie is running there.
I haven't heard of that combo before.

Speaker 6 (50:10):
Did he say steak and garlic prawn?

Speaker 7 (50:13):
That's what I heard. Yeah, So that's sort of like
a surfing tiff situation you got, isn't it death?

Speaker 6 (50:19):
Definitely it is.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
What's a surfing tiff?

Speaker 6 (50:22):
Well, it's like your meats and your seafoods all tossed
in the same pot. Oh, when I have a hot pot,
you could say it's a surfing turf. You've got your meats,
you got your seafoods, just tossing the pot. There's bloody
good stuff.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
And how do you feel about pies?

Speaker 6 (50:40):
I love pies.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
Hey, this is all brought to you by Dad's Pies,
who proudly bake award winning pies for pie loving New Zealanders.
A man, they get it and they really there. That's
what it's all about, right there. One nothing in the football.

Speaker 6 (50:53):
Can you imagine the English fans at the moment they
will be going off?

Speaker 4 (50:58):
We should cross life to be and see other hubs go.

Speaker 6 (51:00):
Yeah, I think so. In the meantime, He's cake.

Speaker 1 (51:02):
The Hodarchy Big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy Tune.

Speaker 9 (51:06):
In Sport, Lawrence rodcun time for your later sport headlines.
Thanks to export Ultra the bear for here. England are
a head in the second half of their Football World
Cup semi final against Australia.

Speaker 11 (51:22):
What was the score before they went to adds?

Speaker 4 (51:23):
It was argent.

Speaker 11 (51:27):
One love? Was it to England?

Speaker 4 (51:30):
England y yep.

Speaker 9 (51:32):
The winner plays Spain on Monday in the final. Golfer
Daniel Hilliot isn't battling the pre major nerves as badly
as he once did. He's one of three kiwis teeing
off at the one hundred and fifty fourth Open Championship
at Royal Birkdale tonight. Jim Bobcun Women are being given

(51:52):
exercise advice online that otago UNI researchers say isn't backed
up by science. They include advice that women shouldn't fast,
hydration needs change during the menstrual cycle, and women need
different carbon protein.

Speaker 11 (52:05):
Strategies to men.

Speaker 9 (52:06):
I should just mention too in our women's sports segment
and our under seventeen women's basketball team have made history
at the World Cup in the sir Zech Republic.

Speaker 6 (52:16):
Jack what was that ship?

Speaker 4 (52:20):
Can't be getting the names of things wrong?

Speaker 6 (52:21):
Brin still spoiled.

Speaker 9 (52:24):
They've made the quarterfinals for the first time after a
sixty to forty win over Columbia.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
And what was that team?

Speaker 9 (52:30):
So that that was the under seventeen women's basketball team.
Oh good, that's exciting, so good, so good for them.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
You watch that?

Speaker 11 (52:36):
Ajs Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I love.

Speaker 6 (52:40):
A bit of BB action basketball. Yes, thanks m thanks mate,
Thanks Jim One. Neil sild to England seventy one minutes gone.
Coming up the legend Rogie Cooey bassa shit.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hodak.

Speaker 6 (53:01):
Es Indeed faith no more. There on the Big Show
Breakfast this Tuesday morning. The time is eight thirty seven
and we have Rugby League legend Roger too vasa check
in the studio with us. Good Roger, how's live? Good? Good?
Thank you, you're fired up.

Speaker 12 (53:17):
I'm pumped.

Speaker 6 (53:18):
I'm pumped to be here, Roger.

Speaker 4 (53:20):
The reason we've got you in the studio, mate, is
because obviously, yeah yeah, season with the Wires was cut short.
What sucks, and so that's sort of the end of
your stint.

Speaker 7 (53:28):
They're done.

Speaker 4 (53:28):
However, you sort of being part of it still by
tagging in on the commentary and the coverage of the game.
So you're going to be a regular feature on Sky
whenever the game is being played. You know, is that
something you've always wanted to move into?

Speaker 6 (53:40):
Not?

Speaker 12 (53:40):
Not really, It wasn't something I wanted to do. Was
I wanted to be around footy. I don't know what
they looked like, was either coaching or maybe media. But
this has come quite early for me. So I'm using
this opportunity as a trial and error. So here I
am in the radio doing some some radio and plugging
myself talking about Hey I'm on Sky now, guys, come

(54:03):
and watch.

Speaker 6 (54:03):
So that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (54:04):
That is the transition because while you're playing for at
the top level, like you know, all the Warriors, all
the attentions on you, and you almost want to get
rid of that. But then afterwards when you especially if
you want to get down the media route like a
lot of former players have done and over and Aussie, there's
big things that you can do over there as well.
It does change, doesn't it.

Speaker 12 (54:18):
Oh, there's a lot you know, like especially my brother's
been pushing me to get into the media space, and
you're true to do that. You've got to bring out
your personality where before it was like no, you write
your goals, you chase your goals, action action action. But
now it's like, hey, you know what I lovely, here's
something sides like, y, let's go, let's get into it.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
Well, when you say your personality, when players have spent
a long time in a professional environment, especially like the
All Blacks cricket, traditionally, the way that media managed and
taught is to just like, hey, you just keep it
pretty chill, you know, But then once you leave you
sort of have to get rid of that and unlock
your personality again.

Speaker 12 (54:50):
Right, yeah, Well, like Seawn Johnson, he's on that to
laying it down for all of us and laying a
path for us.

Speaker 6 (54:55):
Before it's like, hey.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
You get full credit to the boys.

Speaker 12 (54:58):
Yeah exactly, Yeah, all the thanks, but now it's like, hey,
you know, there's just cool things happening, and Sean is,
like I said, he's leading the way for us of
giving people more insight to it.

Speaker 6 (55:08):
But in a call away and that.

Speaker 7 (55:10):
Is the beauty of having guys like yourself in SJ
doing the commentary as well. You're able to break down
the plays, what the players are going through. What I
really enjoy about what ESJ does is doing replays and
going through them, you know, step by step, so you
can actually learn as a viewer and somebody that hasn't

(55:31):
played rugby league, you actually get smarter as a viewer
because I watch it. I've watched it since day one.
But as it turns out from watching s J in
the week that he does on screen, I don't know
jack shit. I know nothing. And so the way that
you know a team is working itself around particularly and
say the twenty meter within the twenty meters and working

(55:51):
towards posts and all that sort of stuff, we have
no idea as viewers, So you coming straight from the game,
it's a huge opportunity for the audience.

Speaker 12 (55:58):
Yeah, and that's that's the I can't take away from Sean.
He's he's unreal airt breaking it down. Where with myself,
I want to let the viewers know about, you know,
the chats going within the meetings in those four wars
and the mindset the boys are running out. Like I
spoke around, you know, the no surrender call and who
does the call and you know, get you on the
hyped up for it so that when you're at home

(56:19):
you can call it yourself.

Speaker 6 (56:21):
Roger, can I just ask just on that front, you know,
the Fellers are obviously going great guns at the moment.
They're playing really well. These huge expectation on the Warriors.
You have fanatical fans. How do you guys cope with that?
I mean, do you feel that pressure when especially when
you're going really well? You know, geez, we can't stuff

(56:42):
this out. You know.

Speaker 12 (56:43):
The cool thing is the fans are putting on the
pressure expectation. But I think from what happened last year
of us where we were in the same position last year, Yes,
we're putting it back on ourselves. So the expectation and
the challenges on ourselves to do better and to grow
from last year because we saw last year as such
a wet opportunity. We were sitting top four, top two
for a long time, but we couldn't get at the

(57:04):
back end. And we're worth close to the back end
this time and we want to go all the way.

Speaker 4 (57:09):
Roger, we've got Roger Tibasushik in studio with us, who's
joining The Sky's coverage of the Warriors for the season,
which is very exciting. Do you think you and Sean
are very lucky? Like you look at you got Monty
Betham there. For example. We've been doing this for a
long time. You guys are lucky that you're coming in
when the Warriors are winning, you know what I mean,
Like if you were in one of those dark periods
we were losing all the time twenty fifteen, Yeah, we

(57:32):
exactly do you think you'd be? I don't know, it'd
be a bit bit harder, you know what I mean.

Speaker 12 (57:36):
That's one hundred percent the reality of it where I'm
coming in, like right now, I'm so pumped. Yeah, we've
got the dragons, We've got we're fielding up this team
this weekend, so ye tune end where unfortunately I was
part of those teams on twenty sixteen nineteen.

Speaker 6 (57:49):
But yeah, well that's the interesting challenge that you will
face actually going into broadcast things every now and then
you're going to have to stick the boot into your mates,
you know what I mean? You know, go God, those
eyes were a ship house terrible, man, they were so bad.

Speaker 4 (58:05):
Is that how you do it?

Speaker 12 (58:06):
Roger by Way, probably not as tough as he did,
but I'll try try my best.

Speaker 4 (58:13):
Yeah. And in terms of next year, you're heading overseas, Yes,
you're heading over to the ukme in you're just saying
you want to get amongst the football which Mowgi's turned off,
so Jason doesn't get distracted. But you know, finding a
local footy team, a football team to support you excited
for that as well.

Speaker 6 (58:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (58:30):
I think that was the main attraction of going over
to Super League, was just taking my family and seeing
a new part of the world, new cultures and new attractions.
And like I said, they love this soccer over there,
or football as they call it. So I think Leeds
United is in the Premier League, so that might be
my team.

Speaker 4 (58:47):
Leeds United. Yes, you have to get the Jerzy's go
fully into it.

Speaker 6 (58:50):
Yeah nice. Hey, well, Roger, all the best for next year,
fish and foremost and also for your broadcasting career, mate,
I hope it goes great guns and you know the
fellas aren't playing well mate, just lay into them. Just
don't don't worry about it, man, Just don't hold back,
all right, cool?

Speaker 4 (59:07):
I write that down, Yeah, and then screw it up
and throw the burn Rogers. We asschek. Thanks for joining us, mate,
Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
The whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
tune in week days and four on radio.

Speaker 6 (59:19):
Hold Ik Lincoln Part You're on the Big Show Breakfast
this Thursday morning. The time is ten minutes to nine
o'clock in England, so so very close. Seven minutes from
full time and Argentina equalize one. All let's cross to
Beck who's at the pub with a pub full of
English supporters and Beck, they must be absolutely spewing right now, mate.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
The tension and here is wild, Like you know, I
no highly confident what eight minutes ago? And then that
goal went through and I think I'm seeing grand men
cry with the tension of it all.

Speaker 8 (59:56):
It's hilarious.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
Well it is, I mean because obviously Big you're not,
I assume, but like me, we're not like avid football.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Fans, and so I have no idea what's happening.

Speaker 4 (01:00:06):
You're just at a pub on a Thursday morning that
just happened to be some some football on is that right?

Speaker 6 (01:00:11):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:00:12):
So who are these people here cutting into my dirry type?

Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
So what about in terms of that first English goal?
It was a while back now, but how much did
the pub light up when that happened?

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
It was so and his men like they sung songs,
men were hugging and kissing each other.

Speaker 8 (01:00:29):
It was a real, real lovely moment.

Speaker 4 (01:00:31):
Actually yeah right, and those same men now are crying
into their lagers, right, I mean it's still.

Speaker 8 (01:00:36):
Everyone's on tiptoes. People are biting their nails.

Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
I can I can only imagine what it's going to
be like if it goes to a penalty shootout, but tension,
and there's going to be I might even pop down now.
Actually it'll be well over by them, wouldn't You've got
another hour to do after this? Yeah right? Yeah, well
be for your sake, I hope to God that England
come through so that you don't have to deal with
distraught and crying. With distraught crying then.

Speaker 8 (01:01:08):
It's really I mean, there could be a riot. Good, no,
people are crying.

Speaker 6 (01:01:22):
Thirty seconds before that day you had a shot that
came off the push Oh wow, so big.

Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
So just for those who joined us Argentina and now
I had two to one an extra time big. What
is the vibe like?

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
Now the vibe has gone silent. You can hear a pindron,
you really can.

Speaker 7 (01:01:38):
You can also hear a daytime announcement from Hodachey laughing
at people's fortune.

Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
Keep me quiet, alright, well, keep us abreast of what's
happening at the pub.

Speaker 5 (01:01:50):
All right, A.

Speaker 4 (01:01:54):
Holy cow, that is just wow. That is just classic
English football, right there, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Yeah, well they're kind of crapping the bed now. And
let's remember I can't remember the team that Argentina were playing,
but yeah, maybe Mexico and they were too Niel down
with about fifteen to play, and then they scored three
goals in thirteen minutes. From recollection it was Egypt.

Speaker 4 (01:02:14):
I think Egypt, Yes, yeah, I think it was actually
Papa New Guinea.

Speaker 6 (01:02:19):
Oh was a Papa New Guinea was? Oh that makes
sense with human hey h draba, here's Pearl Jam.

Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Wow the hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.

Speaker 10 (01:02:32):
Tune in week days at four on Radio hod.

Speaker 6 (01:02:34):
Ich Temper Tramp there on the Big Show Breakfast this
Thursday morning. It is one minute past nine o'clock and
we're in the dying seconds fellas of the second semi
final at the Football World Cup, Argentina coming storming back
to take the lead two to one. England desperately trying
to equalize, but it looks like a forlorn hope at

(01:02:58):
this point.

Speaker 7 (01:02:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
I don't know a lot about football, but I think
it's a big upset.

Speaker 6 (01:03:06):
What that Argentina won.

Speaker 4 (01:03:08):
No, No, just for the English fans in general, it's
a big upset for them.

Speaker 7 (01:03:11):
They'll be very very upset.

Speaker 6 (01:03:14):
Yeah, well there you go.

Speaker 7 (01:03:15):
I mean it's what you want in the semi final
is high tension, yes, high excitement, you know, the misery
of losing and the joy of winning.

Speaker 6 (01:03:26):
So what it's all about, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
Feel I just feel for English fans because every couple
of years they go through this, they get mad and
I love it. It's sort of like Wars fans. They're
very similar to Wars fans and we're so used to
not this year is different, but we're so used to
the Warrior is not going the distance, but we get
friggin fizzed up. Regardless with the loudest fans, English is

(01:03:48):
kind of they're the same, you know. They get so
fizzed up, they sing songs, they do all this sort
of stuff. And unfortunately this is from being up one
gold and nothing to lose two goals.

Speaker 6 (01:04:00):
Well you know, it's like I was going to say,
it's almost like being an All Black supporter too. But
we win quite a few World Cups.

Speaker 7 (01:04:05):
Yeah, that is that is a pretty big difference.

Speaker 6 (01:04:08):
Yeah, having three or four that the English still with
their only one win and all this time it's a disgrace, and.

Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
Coach reiterate, I'm not a massive football fan at all,
but i have very much enjoyed this particular game. Yes
you know what I mean, It's just I don't. I don't.
I didn't really get around yesterday's game, but this one
in particular, with just knowing how much it means to
both sides and the drama to to one. Then coming
back late Mess thirty nine years of age, celebrating because
of the game is officially over and Argentina are into

(01:04:38):
the final.

Speaker 6 (01:04:40):
Dan and Dustin and how good the final though Spain
the Argentina Classic.

Speaker 7 (01:04:45):
Fine Monday morning, feelers you waiful?

Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
Now coming up next? Actually, Old Paksahn went to see
a movie yesterday, the Odyssey, The Odyssey, and he said, Fellers,
I'd really appreciate some airtime so I can chat about it.
So we went, Oh, that's what you want to do?

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
The whole archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.

Speaker 10 (01:05:05):
Tune in and four on Radio the Verve.

Speaker 6 (01:05:08):
There on the Big Show Breakfast this Tuesday morning, and
Old Pug sounds in the studio with us. It's Pugs.

Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Morning Fellas morning.

Speaker 6 (01:05:22):
Yeah, very good, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Hey, thanks for having me.

Speaker 4 (01:05:24):
Last night, Pugs, I was invited to go and see
Christopher Nolan's Odyssey.

Speaker 7 (01:05:28):
Are you reviewing the Odyssey?

Speaker 4 (01:05:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:05:31):
Yeah, I was hoping you.

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
But because I'm on breakfast, I said no, I don't
want to go, but Pugs said he'll go with his
partner and do a bit of a review because it's
a massive release.

Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
Yeah, I'm going to step out because I'm going to
go and see this this, this movie, this, this, this movie,
this this this weekend, and I'm sorry, it's obviously it's
a huge movie. And because I knew, whenever I know
I'm going to go and see a movie, I avoid
it completely, So I don't watch trailers, I don't watch
any chitty chat about it, nothing at all. So I'm
gonna watch it I of the weekend and then all

(01:06:01):
coming on Monday. Pegs, and you and I can compare busies.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
That's all I'll say to you is I've got a
feeling when you and I compare busies, yes, that my
busies are going to be larger.

Speaker 6 (01:06:20):
Andese croissant or something like that. You're a bagel. A
bagel would be fine.

Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
Now, Pugs. Hello, So the Odyssey, in terms of a release,
one of the oldest stories ever told, based on the
Iliad by Homer from the ancient Greek or something not
Homo Simpson, Jase, it's one of the it's a Greek tragedy.
I don't know, like, it's just such an old and
well told tale. And this is Christopher Nolan's three and
a half hour je recreation of that tale.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Let me just start by saying this, I don't know
ship about the Odyssey. No spoilers are here, by the way,
spoiler free, spoiler free show. I'm just going to talk
emotions and also just Chase. I'd also just like to
open the open the review by reading some of the
big Show group chat from last night me at nine
thirty seven pm. The Odyssey fellas all I said, reply

(01:07:08):
from Jason Hoyt. Do you want to review it on
the show?

Speaker 7 (01:07:10):
Pugs?

Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
So I just want to clear that up for the
audience there.

Speaker 6 (01:07:13):
Yes, Hey, just.

Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
Now, Jason, what a movie fellas? Holy moly, it does
feel historic.

Speaker 6 (01:07:23):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
It is one of the great films of I would
say the last decade. It kind of felt to me
the impact that Gladiator had when it first came out.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
This felt a bit like that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
But this is obviously the technology has just come so
far that the scale is just enormous.

Speaker 9 (01:07:39):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (01:07:39):
What is that part of the grandeur? It's just the
scale of the scale of everything.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Yeah, and awesome. What I noted was it it was
three hours. So the movie started at six thirty. Yeah,
I was out by nine forty, so it's not three
and a half. I am ready to go see it
again tonight if I if I had more tickets, I
would go again tonight to see it. Well, for something

(01:08:05):
that's so long, I didn't think that I'd be so
so enthralled the entire time.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
It wasn't one of those movies. It was like Lord
of the Rings where you're watching it and it's long,
but you're thinking this is awesome the whole time.

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
No, I didn't even think about how long it was.
I genuinely didn't think how long it was until maybe,
like we were getting to the end game.

Speaker 6 (01:08:23):
Whether or not I'm going to be able to find
three and a half hoursand a day there.

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
Sorry, if you were listening, Jason's not three and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:08:31):
But even then.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
Now, Jason, you were around when the original Odyssey came out,
the book written by Homer.

Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Yeah, seventh or eighth eighth century.

Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
Yeah, I'm always loath Fellas, and I don't know how
you feel about it. As often adaptations of books are
very disappointing adaptations. So you know what I mean. You go,
you love the book, and you go, oh, go and
see the movie, and then the movie's an absolute shocker.

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
I mean, well, this particular book written by Home is
probably in like Latin or something.

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Yeah, there were a couple of things I had with it.
I noted I did compare it to Gladiator. They're not
the same, but I did think about it because Ingladiator,
the way that they spoke, even though it was English,
it still felt old and it felt regal, authentastic. In
this movie, everybody's just American, did just all American?

Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
Oh okay, well that ruins it for me.

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
So there's just one thing to keep in mind. The
only other criticisms I had for it were it had
the Oppenheimer problem where Christopher Noland does this thing where
he has to get all the exposition out so quickly,
so you're set up for the rest of the movie,
and it felt like the first to me, I might
not be the same but for everybody else, But the
first like ten minutes was all just like talk talk talk,

(01:09:42):
talk talk, sitting laud music in the background. That was
what Oppenheimer was for me. It was just like chitty
chat getting it all out. And then when you finally
when they finally set sail into the story, it's like fantastic, Right,
how many buzzies out of five? Pugs, I'm going to
give it four? Four busies out of five to five
closer to a four point somewhere between four and four
point five, okay. And The Odyssey, which that was a preview,

(01:10:04):
so I believe it's today or tomorrow.

Speaker 7 (01:10:07):
It's out now?

Speaker 6 (01:10:08):
It is it out now?

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
Probably go see it? Bloody good?

Speaker 6 (01:10:12):
Was there? Nudity?

Speaker 5 (01:10:15):
Was there?

Speaker 4 (01:10:15):
Pugs?

Speaker 6 (01:10:16):
Chris? What was that?

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
Was there?

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Nudity?

Speaker 6 (01:10:18):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
The hood Chy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy
tune in week days at four on Radio.

Speaker 6 (01:10:26):
Hold Ikey. It is indeed ever clear. They're on the
Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. But right now it's
time for.

Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.

Speaker 7 (01:10:40):
Yeah, hate Gellers Last night, I completed the second season
of Britaan Coup's Singles Club, which is available for viewing
on the spin off and also on YouTube. A six episodes,
and it's the tale of Brittany Stent and cut A
Forester dealing with relationships in this episode or the season.
In the first season, they were dealing with the fact

(01:11:01):
that they were getting older and singles, so they travel
around the country trying to find a mate. But really
those parts of the show were just to serve as
a bit of a background for them to have yarns
with each other about how they were feeling about their lives.
And this season, Kuda is pregnant and Brindley's got herself
a new partner. They travel all over the country similarly

(01:11:21):
just having yards with each other about how they're feeling.
Last episode was last night. Each episode about fifteen minutes long.
Bloody good Man, Bloody good show. Highly recommend. Just a
couple of great women, very very funny, having some honest
yarns and some huge laughs. I give it a four
point two boys is out of a possible five. Get
it in you good stuff logie.

Speaker 6 (01:11:43):
Last night, my wife and I couldn't really be asked you,
you know, when you have those evenings and I say, oh, no,
what can we watch? I mean, we ended up with
World's Worst Housemate I think it was called, and it
was just people that ended up living with other people
that were just pieces of work.

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
I think a lot of people can relate to that
totally man.

Speaker 6 (01:12:02):
But but on the extreme end of the scale, as
you'd imagine, because they made a program about it, and
it's just just horrendous human beings and the stuff that
they did to their housemates, you know, getting people arrested,
accusing them of things that never happened that they were
doing themselves. Just an absolute nightmare, the kind of viewing

(01:12:23):
that makes you sick, but you can't help but keep
watching it. We watched like three episodes of The Bastard,
you know what I mean, and it just reminded me
of how foul human beings can good, you know, and
how we're so often motivated by money as well, you
know what I mean, especially I am. I mean, I'm
not going to kill anyone over it, though you say that, look,

(01:12:49):
it's just completely mindless gunk. It was. It was fine too.
Busies out of five World's Worst Housemate.

Speaker 4 (01:12:57):
Nice Samsung TV.

Speaker 6 (01:12:58):
Yeah, man, so good.

Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
I had to annoying me because we I turned my
TV on. Now it automatically comes on to Samsung TV
and it's always engaging because it's on the Korean cooking channel.
So last night, my wife and I we watched the
final episode of the latest season of Clarkson's Farm on
Amazon Prime Watch Prime and it's the season where he announced,
and he didn't say anything until the last two episodes

(01:13:21):
that he had cancer. And it was very interesting viewing
because we worked out last year. In May, he was
supposed to come to the country and do a Q
and A with the debut screening of the last year's season,
but they canceled it because it was midway through the harvest,
and I was gutted because I'd say, yes, my wife
and I were going to go along and we were
going to get to do a Q and A with

(01:13:41):
Jeremy Clarkson, which is, you know, pretty exciting. We worked
out from the show. He was like, I've known about
this for a few months. We did the mass, we
were like, he didn't come because of that. He didn't
come because he just found out he had cancer, and
it was very interesting and they show all the you know,
like they show all the stuff that happens on the farm,
like cows having to be killed because of tuberculosis and
like unwell animals and all this sort of nitty gritty

(01:14:02):
and then the health stuff this season was quiet, I
don't know, grim it was. It was very down buss.
And then on top of that, it's so hard to
make a living because of the droughts and the weather
and global warming and stuff that, Like, it's just absolute
shambles if you aren't a multi millionaire farmer TV presenter, yeah,
you're just a regular farmer over there and probably here too,
I don't know enough, but so hard.

Speaker 7 (01:14:22):
They've got the big payouts on the milk down here, brother.

Speaker 4 (01:14:25):
Yeah for some farmers you know. But honestly, the latest
seasons is the best. There's the best season of that show.
I think, uh, four buses out of five.

Speaker 6 (01:14:34):
Yeah, good stund for mate.

Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
Who's this again, Jace, Jace, Jace.

Speaker 6 (01:14:41):
Well, I'm going to sing it in your bass. It's
sad that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
The whole Achy Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kezy
tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.

Speaker 6 (01:15:00):
Well, there you go, your man, bastards that's a big show.
Breakfast done and dusted this Thursday morning. Hope you enjoyed
the show. Now, before the show, we do a podcast
out show, which is just bonus material for you.

Speaker 7 (01:15:11):
Really, it's a little bit of a warm up, isn't it.
Fell As we get in here at the Sparrow, fat
and pump out ten of the best minutes of content
you've ever heard in your life. And here's an example.

Speaker 6 (01:15:23):
Are you saying my wife's a durbrain.

Speaker 7 (01:15:25):
No, you're putting those words implicitly.

Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Stop trying to put your filthy words in my mouth.

Speaker 7 (01:15:30):
You don't have to read between the lines on that one.

Speaker 6 (01:15:32):
I won't be putting my words in your mouth.

Speaker 4 (01:15:33):
Keeezy, I know you're putting disgusting.

Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
See this, I thought it was going to be Yeah, first.

Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
It's good, stuffy Fellers. Yeah, yeah, that comes out soon,
I guess. I don't know. I don't know what time
it comes out.

Speaker 6 (01:15:52):
Yeah, I don't know anymore.

Speaker 7 (01:15:54):
I know when we do drive it comes out at
seven thirty at night there indear, But now I don't know.
Maybe it comes out at midday times. What time does
the podcast come out?

Speaker 6 (01:16:07):
That which is speaking of working your ass off? You'll
be working after this, Maggie.

Speaker 7 (01:16:13):
Yeah, mate, straight into it, straight out of here, straight
into work.

Speaker 6 (01:16:16):
I love it. What about you keasy bit of ann
and that before you're filming tonight?

Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
Yeah, well that's the saying. I've been asked to come
back and host the show that I started on, Crowd
Goes Wild Again tonight, which is very exciting.

Speaker 7 (01:16:27):
Really, Yeah, you look confused.

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
Well, it's just weird because I worked there for ten
years and I was kind of constantly overlooked for presenting.
It's really nice that I'm at a stage in my
career now. I actually we would ucky to come and
do it.

Speaker 6 (01:16:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
It's kind of like a sign that I'm getting older. Yeah, mate,
that's turning in. Wait around long enough everyone else dies,
you get an opportunity. Apparently everyone else is available they
didn't want to get Yeah, so exciting.

Speaker 7 (01:16:51):
What about you actually heard that Roger two of us
shicks couldn't look.

Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
Really, I wouldn't be surprised. It's a joke about me
constantly being replaced by the press. How about former league stars?

Speaker 6 (01:17:02):
Is what about you?

Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
Jason? What are you doing today?

Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
Look fellows, I'm just trying to decide now, I mean
I think I've got bacon at home, but I'm not
entirely sure, so I think I'm probably going for a
bagel with avocado. Maybe I've got a little tub of
pesto too, so I might a little bit of crack
pet of the show a bit of aioli on top there.

(01:17:26):
I think I'll go for the thin bagels because I'm
a big fan of those.

Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
And.

Speaker 4 (01:17:30):
Tomorrow morning at six a m.

Speaker 6 (01:17:32):
Till ten.

Speaker 4 (01:17:33):
Until then you have a lovely day.

Speaker 6 (01:17:34):
Bye.
