commentate it.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
No commentation. Yeah sound great? You go. It was outside?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, how are you going? By the way? Easy? Because
he came in all the fluster this morning. You're getting
a little prick on your leg, you said, and you
just couldn't locate it, and it was pricking away there
at your leg. Year came in with his pants down,
And that's not a lie.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
I love how you just tell a messive lie and
then you say it's not a lie, it's a lie.
I hid something pricking me in the side of my pants.
Once I got into the office. I underd my pants
and reached down there. There's nothing there.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, you're a shock.

Speaker 7 (03:19):
And then I tried to find the thing that was

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Archy Big Show week days from four on radio.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Indeed, the red Chili Peppers. There on the Big Show.
Breakfast this Wednesday morning, the time twelve minutes past six o'clock.
And we love to know what people are reading on
this show, don't we, fellas certainly do. For example, Keysy
walked in today with a lovely tapa wee container of
chia and stewed strawberry for his bricky, and we thought,

(04:19):
how about we open a cafe here in the Big Show.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Do you think that when I walked in with that pudding?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well no, I thought that yesterday. But then you reminded
me when you came in today with your lovely pudding
that or not putting your breakfast at your wife prepared for.
So we thought we'd open our home cafe Fells one hundred.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
So you call us on eight hundred. Holdarky, you tell
us what you are having for breakfast. Years but in
the form of taking an order.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Pugs will explain it. Yeah, you'll get it. We did
it yesterday. It was highly successful. I've now got a bell. Guys,
listen to this. Oh all right, you're nice, you get
in touch.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Yesterday people were giving prizes. I believe Puggs dished out
the Reburger acts.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I tell you promises. One of the joys I have
because I live in the CBD. Now. I don't know
if you guys know that. And as I'm walking through
the CBD this time of day, you would think that
the world is asleep. But there's lots of little cafes etcetera, etcetera,
preparing themselves for the morning rush. And there's smells of

(05:19):
sort of baking in the air. You can smell coffee.
It's just a wonderful thing.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
The sushi shop next door here, yes, because people don't
eat sushi till lunchtime.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
MOOI yeah, but it takes a while to make it.
It takes away while to make itself. It's not going
to make itself, although I think that guy gets as
dead to make it.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Well, that is his dad. He's there five am, yes,
making all the rice and stuff.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Yeah, and then the sun comes on and with a
miserable look on his face, and then he's sort of
standsy for the rest of.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
The day on his phone. Yeah, yeah, but.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
It's amazing, like you have to get him bloody early
to make sushi. Jas Yes, and you wouldn't know that
if you didn't live in the CBD. I used to
make sushi.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Have a bit of a fantasy about being a baker,
you know, because there's something very appealing to me about
getting up at the cracker dawn and rolling out some
dough and the smell of fresh bread, you know, cooking
How good? Phillos? How good?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Not that good? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
I actually brought some a couple of pieces of toasting
with me this morning, Jase. So I'm going to hear
them later on and find myself get a little bit hungry.
Around about eight point fifteen, eight twenty the akizi, So
you brought in toast, I've brought it, well, not to
some bread to be toasted, A little bit about a
little bit of peanut butter of the ere, a little
bit of cheer pudding.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Maybe I on the bread.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Oh eight hundred hodaki? What are you having for breakfast?
What's that? Jase?

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Or maybe I need to bring in bricky then not
that you know have bricky generally spring.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Well, you've been sucking on your vapor.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I suck on my vapor must be full of coffees
and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Why don't you just get like an eggspitted a flavored vape.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Nice, I'm liking it isn't cubos.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
The whole Actually Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio hod Cancubus.

Fellas, whew, jeez, plod plot quiet.

Speaker 6 (07:21):

it sounds like there's a lot of people.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yeah, we share a we share a dining area with
another cafe. That place is going off.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, it's sorry. I'm back at the house.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
I forgot I'm back at house. Yeah, you're out of
the back cooking nothing. I'm in the kitchen. Have you
got the orders come through?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
No? No orders at this point? Are kesy? You just relax? Mate?
No one's called holdarchy and can you take your hand
into your pants please? It's pretty gross given that you
make the food pretty pretty sure.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
That's well, we haven't got a hygiene rating eight hundred.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Holdarchy, if you want to come to the Big Show cafe.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
There's literally nobody interested in our cafe. And I think
there's is why businesses go under. Well that it's a
bloody tough time for hospitality at the moment.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Totally it is, mate and Kezy. Well, they do say
that most businesses fall apart in their first year. And
now I can see why. I tell you what bloody
trap roadworks out the front aren't helping, are they? Bludy?
I mean you need, you know, people on foot to
be walking past.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
Surely sure not when you're We're not when you're phoning in,
because that's where we get our businesses the phone and
oh yeah yeah, a.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Lot of traffic hundred HODARKI surely someone wants to cut
to the beach cafe and get a prize.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Let's not get desperate about it. I mean, I know that, Keezy,
I know that. All right, I'm going to have to
start laying off staff.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
And you get it. What do you get? What do
you want? A fifty dollars rebig avout you? Maybe we
don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Well, I mean we can't be in a scenario where
we open up a cafe and the people that come
in we give them free vouchers.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
It's almost like people think that this segment is Is
that what I meant to think.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I'm getting the fie, I'm getting the vibe that people
don't like our cafe. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
That's not it, Jory, Can I take your orders on?
Get in the kitchen? Can I just get a coffee?

Speaker 8 (09:17):
Mate?

Speaker 6 (09:18):
What?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (09:19):
And coffee please? No? Sorry, we don't coffee.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Thanks Jory. You had a good day, buddy.

Speaker 4 (09:28):

he's a barista. Yeah I know, but I didn't order
any coffee.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah, we don't. We couldn't afford it because no one
was tuning up. Uh good, I can't read the name
good a. How are you going? Mate? Yeah? Good?

Speaker 8 (09:43):
Can I have a nineteen twenties coffee delight?

Speaker 3 (09:46):

Speaker 4 (09:47):
What's that one? Mate?

Speaker 8 (09:49):
Well, after a long night, I've given her to the
old wife. You know, A nice play A coffee with
the dry on the side will be plenty, thank you.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Are you calling from?

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Bagel comes out of the out of a freezer, out
of a bag?

Speaker 6 (10:24):

Speaker 2 (13:12):
The Hierarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune
in four on Radio Holarchy.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Indeed the Touts there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show
Breakfast this Wednesday morning. The time is six ety seven. Now,
you know, it's fair to say that we've come in
doing the breakfast to fill in for the Breakfast Show,
and there's been a bit of whining feelings. There's been
a bit of moaning about the sort of hours that
we're having to keep now, what time we have to
get up, and it's made us realize and think about

(13:41):
all the backbones out there, all the trades that do
this every single bloody day without complaints, and we thought
we need to celebrate these people. So we've come up
with a new segment which is Trail of the Day.
Oh we didn't get a sting made or anything with it.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Well, you're listening to.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
The right.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Patch is usually better than that, but.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
I'm so sad again.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
Trade of the Day with the Big Show feels that's good.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
And every day what we're going to do is get
you to text in on three four eight three and
tell us what trade you want us to focus on today.
Overwhelmingly it's Sparky's filing.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Sparky's electricians. Electricians. Then so the other ones that come
around and sort of why they joined up.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Well, funnily enough, I've got a Sparky coming around to
my joint today to replace the light bulbs. Really seriously,
you can't do it, and that sounds ridiculous, but my
ceiling is so high we can't actually reach it. So
we need, you know, the special skills of a Sparky
to come and replace the light bulb.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
It's a dangerous job, is it very dangerous?

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Not just dealing with height, so I get your joint, Jase,
but also just dealing with electricity. I don't know if
you know this because he but just reading here. Electricity
can be fatal. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, So you've got
to get yourself a shock doctor.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
And don't they call Sparky. They call themselves shop doctor.
Oh wow, yeah, yeah, yeah, a shock doctor. I've never
heard that.

Speaker 7 (15:15):
A wire monkey, definitely never heard that master, a zip master.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
Yeah, I've I we had electrician growing up. I'm static Steve.
He was a wire bender.

Speaker 11 (15:28):
A wire bender. A wire bender, I've never heard that nickname. Yeah, yeah,
he was a conduit commander, was he? I remember it

(15:49):
was actually a cable ship.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I remember static Steve actually remember that Mogi because he
always had that shock of hair that went straight up
in the air.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Yeah, he was always sticking his finger in the old
plug socker there. Actually, looking back on it, I don't
think he was a I don't think it was a
wire monkey.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Was it just a dude? They got leeducated? YEA, Who's
a shocking burst?

Speaker 2 (16:14):
The hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days A four on Radio hold.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Ichies indeed queens of the Stone Age on the Big
Show Breakfast this Wednesday morning. The time is six forty seven,
which means it's time for.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
What's on the news with me Jeuzy. Interesting stuff fellas.
This comes from New York and auction happened overnight. Southerby's
sold a dinosaur, an original dinosaur fossil which was dug
up in twenty twenty one, over two years and it's

(16:53):
the most expensive complete dinosaur ever sold ever.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Do you want to guess how much it sold for?
It was a t rex billion dollars.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
No, No, eighteen pence?

Speaker 6 (17:05):
What the hell's a pence? No pences? Are it's lots
of pennies pence? Eighteen pennies? Yeah, for a t rex
for a tea? Well, I don't know, but I would
say in this same age, I mean, how many t
rexes do you see walking around? So if you get
yourself a real life t rex, so i'd say that'd
be worth a billion.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Not real, it's a fossil, it's just the bone.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
And sorry, where was it dug up?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
It was dug up in South Dakota, a remote ranch
where the ground thaws and then gets frozen again in.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Thaws, and so they had to dig it up at
the exact right time.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
It's kind of weird to think that there were t
rexes in Dakota. Yes, you know what I mean. Yes,
I didn't ever think America would have had dinosaurs.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
There's so many. Yeah, because America has only been around
since seventeen or something that.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Yeah, that the land mass itself has been around for
billions of years.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Come on, I think billions, millions. I don't know, I'm
not aologists. How much.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Fifty point one million US dollars for a complete t
rex fossil that is eight I did the bloody.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
What's it called calculations?

Speaker 5 (18:13):
The currency eighty six million New Zealand dollars it's sold for,
and apparently collecting giant fossils like this is a new
hobby for the ultra wealthy.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
And the previous sale, which surprisingly I thought that t
rexes would be like the most expensive, but the record
was set by a stigersaurus.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
A stigersaurus.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
I know, who's bloody and the most expensive ever stigersaurus.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Do you know what they are? Jas?

Speaker 5 (18:41):
No, So the other ones would like they've got big
plate sporing things and then they've got a spiky.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
Tail flappers flappers, yeah, rappers, the gold flapper.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Well, it's it is a bizarre thing. I mean, you know,
spending fifty point one million dollars in just on a
on a sack of bones.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
It's a giant skeleton. But if you've got billions, you know,
what are you here?

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Yeah? Well exactly, I guess so.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
But it's interesting because the previous that one that had
the previous record, literally a billionaire bought it and then
just lens it out to a museum anyway, and it's
like just sitting in a museum.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
It's really weird.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Yeah, well, I don't like the idea of billionaires buying
stuff like that up anyway. It should be just for
the public, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Yeah, but someone's going to pay for the you know,
the actually extracting it, preserving it, putting it all together.
Just plus you know, are you worried about once you go, Jason,
someone will do the same with you.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
How many how much you reckon my bones would sell
for fulles arect this?

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Well, I suppose you are a bit of a dinosaur
as well.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
He is that why you did this particular article. You
just wanted to say, No, I didn't pre prey.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
I thought of that when I looked at you and
the fact that you got those little short arms like
a t rix.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I was like, ah, hair's comes through Roses.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
The whole Acting Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
tune in week days at four on Radio.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Hold Ike here, welcome back your messive backbones. Maybe you're
surviving year Wednesday morning. This is the Big Show Breakfast
and has brought to you by Bunnings Trade.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Build Big Rewards with new power Pass Pro Rewards by Bunnings.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Good stuff. Now I see Fellers, the first semifinal and
the Football World Cup. It started France versus Spain. It's
going to be an absolute cracker. And it occurred to
me because we were saying we're going to keep people
up today on what's going on. But then another part
of my brain was going, well, hang on, do people
actually want that, because there may be some backbones out
there going I don't want to know what's going on.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
Yeah, you know you're in the world of two bad
and tough titty. Yeah, it's a semi final of a
football World Cup. We're not going to not talk about it,
so you know, two or three people can watch it
later on today.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
I also feel like in the modern age of you know,
you get pretty much alerted to everything constantly, Yes, on
your phone, listening to the radio.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Whatever it might be. I feel like the days of
waiting to watch it later what I.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
Think you can, But I think the onus is on you. Yeah,
as the individual doing your phone off your sweet.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
If I'm waiting for a replay or something like that,
I'll just go to bed, just turn off all my devices,
probably make love before that and then go to bed.
And just sleep until the replay comes.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Do you know, do you know how to turn off
your devices? No? How many devices? Have you got?

Speaker 3 (21:29):
One?

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Turn off your device?

Speaker 3 (21:32):
My device?

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
The other thing that you can do, Joseph, you know
if you just get one of these sort of subscription things, is.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
You can watch it on demand.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
You don't have to wait for Sky Television or one
of these other places to put on a replay.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
You can watch it whenever you want.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Are you serious? That's crazy?

Speaker 4 (21:49):
So you could tape it.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Or like on a VHS or something like that. Yeah,
I could do that. Yeah, sounds good at the moment.
In case you're interested. Nil and spoil its.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
People the whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and
Kezy tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hold.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
She had there on the Big Show Breakfast this Wednesday morning.
The time is nine minutes past seven o'clock. And fellas
are we've had some very heavy criticism already about our
updates for the Football World Cup. You do not say
apparently nil all you say nil nil. And this person
also added that it was an extremely what was it mode?

(22:35):
A dull update, a very dull update. So I'll do
my best to be technically correct and frothing about it.

Speaker 6 (22:43):
And if you could just keep those those really cool
texts coming in there your backbone.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yeah, totally, man.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
Hey, fellas, I went away for the weekend and stated
at a hotel and dope ball and as part of
that set up, they had the optional all inclusive breakfast. Yes,
a breakfast buffet. It was very good too. You had
your fresh fruits, keezy. You had a selection of pastries,
oh ye arm. You had your meats, your sausages, your bacons,

(23:12):
all those sorts of things. You could also order an
omelet or some eggs off the menu at no extra costs.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
Yum. Did it have the convey about toast machine?

Speaker 6 (23:21):
Interesting you asked me that, Keezy, because while I was
sitting there having a chitty chat, my eye went over
to the to the toast machine on the conveyor belt
and I said to my wife, there I see as
I see is is that meant to be on fire?
And I went running across the I went running across
the dining room there, and this little kid hadn't read

(23:43):
the sign that said no pastries, and he's rammed in a.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Couple of croissants. Oh.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
The whole bastard was a blaze wow. But anyway, that
was all sort of out in the end. But I
did wonder just what the rules are because as we
were sort of leaving each day, my wife backbone she is,
was stuff in her massive handbag full of muffins, croissants, fruits,

(24:09):
even a little bit of cheare putting there. And I
think her attitude towards it as well, we've paid quite
a lot, quite a lot, yeah, and so you know
this is they expect that you can just take this here,
you're gonna have your morning tea. But I wondered what
your guy's opinion was on it, because I don't think
everybody feels the same way, certainly not my daughter, who

(24:30):
immediately was horrified. She's seven and told everybody with an
airshot that my wife was and I quote stealing.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Well, it is tricky for a little kid because you're
taught don't steal, don't steal, don't steal.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
And then mum's loading your purse with free stuff.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
And also as she's been asked about it, Mama's saying sh.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Which is weird because I was actually taught to steal
as a little kid. But anyway, getting back to the
issue at hand, obviously. I mean I've got an issue
with that. It's a breakfast, it's not afternoon morning and
lunch tea. I sort of you know, eating. Yeah, so
we're in a little snacks, Well you can, but you

(25:12):
buy your own snacks later on in the day. But
stuffing your bag full of pastries and muffins et cetera,
et cetera, to me is just taking the past.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
I feel like you do pay a lot of money
for these breakfast there's also probably a lot of food
wastage as well. What were they going to eat that
apple you took and the supermarket muffin or whatever the hell?

Speaker 3 (25:31):
That's the other thing, keisie. I mean, you've got a
couple of sort of steaming muffins in your handbag. You'll
probably get to the point mid afternoon and go, oh,
that's right, I put those in there. How foul, I'll
beff them.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
No, you eat that? That's what you would do.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
I mean because when my wife and I were on
holiday on our honeymoon, hey throwback, when we're in Spain,
she started because every breakfast buffet had like different hams
and stuff, like really nice meats and cheese and so
she got into the habit of eating some croissants or
some nice bread, cutting it in half and then making
like a ham and cheese sandwich and then wrapping them

(26:05):
up in a napkin for us eat later on.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Yeah, And I was like, baby, can't do that, But
then later on I was like, Bay, it's delicious. Good work.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
So yeah, three four eight three. We'd be interested to
know your opinion every text in the drawer for a prize.
You can also call us an eight hundred hoduky, the
question being is Murgy's wife a thief?

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Yes, a shocker?

Speaker 4 (26:28):
It's nil all in the football.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, here's Tenacious D for.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Tenacious D.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
There on the Big Show Breakfast this Wednesday morning. The
time is seventeen minutes past seven o'clock Spain versus France.
The semifinal currently after seventeen minutes zero zero. Hey, but fellers,
let's get back to a bit of buff a cheat.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
Yeah, mate. So I went away for the weekend Stadler Hotel.
There was an all inclusive buffett as part of that.
All your usual, your meat, your egg, your fruits, all
those sorts.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Of things.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Your breads delicious, it was, But I sort of had
a question come up around whether it's okay or not
for you to take things from the buffet secrete them
away in pockets or bags to be eaten later in
the day.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Is it okay?

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Because that's what my wife may or may not have done.
She did, She's shocking like that. Three four eight three
is the text number.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
You can also call O one hundred hodaki to be honest,
there's I'm going to go seventy thirty the text machine
in support of your wife.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
People saying that, you know, the hotel takes us into accounts,
for example, Leoni, it's been accommodated in the booking cost.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
I would agree. When you do book a hotel buffet,
it's like forty bucks or something usually, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (27:45):
That's a lot of I think they've got to assume
that an absolutely massive bass is going to be turning up, right,
They've got to make a profit off the worst case scenario.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Yeah, someone here say, I don't know someone that hasn't
done what your wife has done. Maybe you're true me, Jason,
but you don't eat anything though, jas Brad says she
will burn in the fiery pits.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Of hell, backbone ner Bagmone. It's a tough one because
a good point being made here.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
There's nothing we showing up to the buffet and an
entire tour group has come through before you and filled
their pockets with all the stuff, which does happen in
tour group's leave quite early as well, they do.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Can I make the point too? And you mentioned it
at the top there, Margie, Secrete away, secrete away. Now,
that tells me that you're being secretive. I mean, if
you're going to do that kind of thing with a buffet,
then just be up front about it. Bring your container
and because if you know that it's five, if you

(28:42):
think it's all g, if you think it's all G,
then just own it and fill up your little container
and then walk out with it in your hands.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
So I've just done some research here and basically the
consensus is that if you are bringing a container to
specifically put food in, then that is not okay. However,
if you're taking fruits and pastries to eat later and
wrapping them in like a napkin or something, and that
is okay.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
So you can take it. Jays.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
You're allowed to fill up all of your pockets, your handbags,
but bringing tappawey would be a purse take.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
And if you if you brought like a lunch box
and then scooped scrambled eggs into that and bacon, then no.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I've got an idea. What you could do, right is
turn up with a stick and a big handkerchief and
just pile that full of pastries tied up on the
end of the stick and then walk out like that?
Is that all geek easy according to you?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Yeah, it's fine. Are you like a rambler? A rambler?
You're a rambler man?

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Yeah? A tramp?

Speaker 4 (29:39):
You mean a tramp, that's it?

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (29:42):
Or a hobo?

Speaker 3 (29:43):
A hobo? Yeah, sure, I think it's disgusting. I'm disgusted
by that behavior.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Well I'll let her know.

Speaker 6 (29:51):
But you know, as the stick see is here, she
is a filthy fief thief. But she's also pretty hot,
so you know, let it go.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Here's Kings of the Darchy Big Show with Jason, Mike
and Kezy. Tune in week days at four on Radio
Hodarchy Sporting.

Marley says yes, thanks fellas.

Speaker 9 (30:43):
Springbox coach Rassi Erasmus admits he's rotating his squad in
preparation to have his best players fit and firing for
the All Blacks next month. The spring Box have also
won their first two Nations Championship matches. West Tiger's n
RL coach Benjie Marshall has launched a tirade at the
media for suggesting his relationship with five eighth Jerome Lui

(31:06):
has broken down. Louay signed with Paramatta for next season,
having been granted an early release by the Tigers before
joining Before joining Papua New Guinea in twenty twenty.

Speaker 6 (31:16):
Eight, I actually saw that interview with Benji Marshall, brim
You'll be excited to know it was a very measured conversation,
not a dire tribe at all. He didn't launch anything
or a ti tirade. Is that what you called it?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I've used its shocking from Yeah, can I just say
went on into character assassination on this show, So maybe
just tone it back a bit, just pull it back
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
There also tirade let's pronounced para parama, not paramatta.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Yeah, it's it's all g yeah.

Speaker 11 (31:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Is that all your sports headlines?

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (31:52):
I think so.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Report Rural News.

Speaker 9 (32:00):
Kay, get a farmer's out there listening to the show.

ever big show.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Rural Report, R report, R report.

Speaker 9 (32:11):
Yeah, there's been a bit of fog in Auckland today,
so farmers they can relate to sort of fog.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
That's a big swing and a miss from you the relating.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
What way, Well, it can get quite foggy in the
White cuttle.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Actually it's a good point, brim.

Speaker 9 (32:25):
Yeah, that's a hell of a rural Yeah. So I'm
just trying to bridge the gap there. You know, the
rural urban divide in the rural.

Speaker 6 (32:33):
Well, this is the one part where we don't do
anything urban. It's meant to be strictly rural.

Speaker 9 (32:39):
Well, do you guys have anything to add.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Well, it's your report now, so don't get news.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
You get your ducks in a row. Brother, If you're
going to come in here swinging your big dick around
doing a rural report, it is hard.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
To see.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Eight hundred Hodachey and you could grab yourself a slow
of the Dad's Pies loute.

Speaker 3 (33:03):

fifty bucks. Give us a call right now, one O

Speaker 5 (33:43):

Hodaki when you hear the pirates and I believe they
played earlier, so we've got people.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
On the lines. Feels yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 3 (33:51):

Speaker 8 (33:54):
How are you doing anything?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Yeah? Very very well, thank you, Nicole. Tell me, Nicole,
what do you do for a crust? I'm an executive
assistant and actually work in the same building as your guys.

Speaker 6 (34:08):
This isn't Nicole who's a hell of a dancer, is it?

Speaker 3 (34:11):
It is either yeah, and tell me Nicole, when it
comes to your pie, what do you run with?

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Probably can't fail with the steak and cheese, yes, just
do it is delicious.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
You know what I hate is a steak and cheese
or and mince. It has heaps of gelatine in it.
It's like gilly.

Speaker 6 (34:35):
Oh no, it's a fairl You don't get it with
a dance pie, I would ask you, Nicole.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
A meat pie is big where you come from.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Ah, you heard the accent. No, they're not, to be honest,
we're probably more of a sweet pie that yeah.

Speaker 9 (34:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
A pumpkin pie.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Yeah, probably more a pumpkin pie in the season. Come on,
well no, So I just don't see the appeal of
a parking It sounds foul, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
Does? I would like to try one? So Nicole, if
you can bring one and bring one in this week.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
That'll be meant yeah, to bring it in on my
way to work. Yeah. Great, great news for you, Nicole.
You've got yourself two hundred and fifty bucks.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Alright, awesome that have a lovely day.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Pumpkin pie, it's a dessert, it is.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (35:24):
I wonder how they make it because it must have
only a very little bit of pumpkin. And I'm not
introesting really eating pumpkin for a mate, let alone a dessert.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah. Well, I think that the scenario must have been
that there was a glass of pumpkins and someone was like,
what the hell are we going to do with all
these bastards. I let's make a pie out of it.

Speaker 6 (35:42):
You can. Yeah, man, it sounds like the history of
the pumpkin pie, because.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
I know this in the States as well in Canada,
and that they have pumpkin spice lattes. They do, and
I'm just like, you put pumpkin in your coffee. I
actually had a pumpkin soup yesterday. The wife made it
very very edible.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
Did you steal it or did she make it?

Speaker 5 (36:05):
Hey fellows, just a quick reminder that there is a
serious amount of pride baked into every Dad's pie.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
All right, okay, thanks mind, you can taste it for sure.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Tune in on.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
Radio Manx Street Preachers there on the Big Show Breakfast
this Wednesday morning. The time is seven fifty one in
the semi final France v. Spain still one love yeah
at the moment. And with that in mind, we thought
we should get the professionals, and we've got sports caster
and commentator, the one and only Jason Pine Piney A

(36:42):
mad bars it, how's life?

Speaker 8 (36:45):
I cannot believe I've got the call up to the
Big Show. This is indeed a career highlight for me. Boyfriend, No, it's.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
It's great to have you on, Piney. Old Kezy he
said he's worked with you a lot and you're a
good bar No.

Speaker 5 (36:59):
Yeah, I know that Pony's a good bastard. I've never
had the pleasure of working with him until now. Piney, Mate,
the reason we've got you on is because we're sort
of having a crack at you know, keeping the audience
abreast of the football.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
We're not very good at it.

Speaker 5 (37:11):
It's just gone to halftime in the semi final here,
would you be able to give us some more professional
sort of rap of how the first half has.

Speaker 8 (37:17):
Gone, Katy, I'll give it a crack look Spain or
wanderl up from a penalt about midway through the first half.
Coming into this game, France are the best attacking team
at this tournament. Everybody thought, Okay, they're going to really
have a crack at Spain. Spain have squeezed France out
of this game. They have controlled possession, they've had the
better of the opportunities. They've given France very few. So

(37:39):
at halftime wander up Spain. France will left come out
in the second half and they've just looked a little
bit off the pace compared to the way they've played
during the tournament. So yeah, second arts would be very
very interesting as France trying to pull back this one.
Nol deficite, what a what a terrible analysis really from me?
It's all generalities and cliches, isn't it that gave you

(38:01):
a bit of a taste of it.

Speaker 6 (38:02):
You're absolutely spot on their pony your mad dog, and
that's exactly what I was telling Old Keesy and Hoody
j in between when the songs will playing there, mate,
you're just going to come out and have a swing. Obviously,
France will be feeling the pressure of a nation on them.
Obviously it's that you know, there's a semi final in
a World Cup, but it's best the all day back
at home, so you know, all of this, all of

(38:23):
this additional pressure given it's their national day, a huge
celebration for them, but they've just got to come out
and swing for the fences. If I could give a
little bit of a cricket or baseball parlongs.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
It'll be interesting to be inside the French dressing rooms
at heart love.

Speaker 6 (38:42):
Together and they'd all have their clothes off and that'll
be in the shower.

Speaker 8 (38:46):
Honestly, there's some there's some very good looking men out there.
I have to say when they pand along during the anthem,
it's goodness me. There's some male models out there. But
you're right, we have a French swearing going on in
the Spanish. In the span stressing room, they'll be I'd say,
there'll be more of a serene feeling in there. But
you know France are going to are going to come

(39:07):
out and really have a cracking the second half.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
Piney have you ever we're talking to sports cast at
Jason Pine, Piney, have you ever been in a changing
room with naked footballers?

Speaker 8 (39:17):
Look, I mean not in the last I mean not
since they told me I couldn't do it anymore. Yeah right, yeah,
Like initially I thought it would be quite a good way,
some insight and so you know what goes on at halftime,
But they told me I couldn't do it anymore.

Speaker 5 (39:35):
And one final question for me, Piney, is your name
Jason Pine because he used to ride the pine a
lot as a kid. Because you know, we can, I
can sort of relate to you in that manner. I
used to ride the pine a lot as well.

Speaker 8 (39:46):
Yeah, very much. So, yeah, I didn't get on very often.
My position was normally riding the pine on the bench,
called upon when needed, and that wasn't very often. So yeah,
look it seems you know, by a fine by name
and by nature. Absolutely all right, pony.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
Finally, your prediction for this match? Where do you see
it ending up?

Speaker 8 (40:06):
I think Spain or what I watched the first half,
and I think Spain. They're looking excellent. Plant will be
rattled the square words in their ears ominously motivation. But
I've got Spain going through all right.

Speaker 5 (40:16):
Excellent and Poney, would you be open to having a
chat to us again tomorrow with the England Argentina.

Speaker 8 (40:21):
Seem absolutely compulsory. I would have thought.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Good, good stuff mate, Enjoy the rest of the match.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Cheers boys, thank you.

Speaker 5 (40:32):

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Radio hold Iki is stoked a welcome that Queens of
the Stone Age.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
I'm live.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
I remember, actually, Mogi, you went to the last one,
which is about two years ago, and you said it rocked.

Speaker 6 (42:28):
It's one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I've
seen them a few times before that, and I to
be completely honest with they're one of my favorite bands
that I've seen them probably four times prior to that,
and they never quite lived up to my hopes and dreams.
But the reason why they're so great now is they've
had the same lineup for about ten or fifteen years
and they are just an incredible live band.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
Do not miss them.

Speaker 6 (42:48):
Take us go on sale on Monday, make sure you
grab yours. And of course we interviewed them the last
time though were here Jason's We did Lovely Feels.

Speaker 5 (42:54):
Yeah, we went to the hotel set met them on
the hotel rooftop pub there and like one of the
afternoon and to sit with Josh Homman and the bass
guitarists can't remember his name, Yeah, but lovely guys.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
While it was it was a slightly disconcerting interview because
they keep looking at me and just cracking up. But
every time they talk they'd just start laughing. I don't
know why that was. Yeah, I have a few theories
as to why. But yeah, no, great bastards.

Speaker 5 (43:19):
Sunday, the twentieth of December this year at Auckland Spark Arena,
Queens of the Stone Age return to New Zealand and
we've got a double pass to give away right now, fellas,
should we do a lucky dip on the old Here
we go, Here we go.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Get a callum, your mad bastard, how's life.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
Make you mess up? The backbone?

Speaker 8 (43:38):
How you go?

Speaker 3 (43:38):
Yeah, very good, thanks mate, very good. How's your Wednesday
morning going.

Speaker 6 (43:43):
Oh it's a beautiful day in auphans Yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:46):
Pretty foggy. Callum. What do you do for a crust? Mate?

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (43:50):
You know computer stuff. That's pretty pretty exciting, you know.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Yeah obviously, Kellum. You're a massive fan of Queens of
the Stone Age, absolutely huge. Yeah. Who would you take
with you?

Speaker 6 (44:03):
Well, I'd be a toss up between either my eldest
daughter who's a massive, massive fan as well, or a
lady friend of mine.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
Right okay, yeah, yeah mate?

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Good I you cadum or you've got that double pass
made and joy?

Speaker 4 (44:25):
Oh you bloody legends, no worries, yeah yeah, have fun
of the gig there, callum.

Speaker 5 (44:31):
See the mate, see mate, hold the line, Hold the
line there, bloody.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
How that's exciting.

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Queens of the Stone Age returning we an now it
was literally announced at eight am this morning, eight or nine.

Speaker 4 (44:41):
He's already got a ticket.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Yeah amazing.

Speaker 5 (44:43):
If you'd like to get your tickets Live Nation dot
co dontins in as Mogi said, they are on sale
this Monday the twentieth at one pm.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Are you going to go to it? Keezy? Because you
know you're not a big fan of concert, you said,
because they get quite noisy.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
Into the last one. The whole Darky team went.

Speaker 3 (45:01):
Except, yeah, yeah, we did, didn't we good? It was
so good? Really back, here's mus the.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Whole Achy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy. Tune
in week days at four on Radio hod.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Ikey is indeed mu there on the Big Show Breakfast
this Wednesday morning. The time is fourteen minutes past eight o'clock.
The score and the soccer Spain v France till one
nill to Spain. At the moment, Fellers. Now, at the moment,
my youngest daughter, she's house setting for some people looking
after their dog. And she went dog setting and house

(45:40):
sitting at the same time. And she texts me all
the time and goes, I'm starving dead, you know what
can I eat? And unfortunately she's got her father's jeans
in the sense that she gets paid a sit in
amount of money, what like. We give her a little
allowance every week and she gets a little bit of
money for house sitting and looking after the dog. But
she does a hoody jay and she just blows it

(46:02):
all in one night, right, you know what I mean?
So she'll just she'll have a lavish meal and then
spend the rest of the time just starving to death.

Speaker 4 (46:10):
Basically, Can I just.

Speaker 5 (46:11):
Say that that is like every single person I know
that the year they left home and went to like
Uni or whatever it might have went flatting or whatever
it might.

Speaker 4 (46:19):
Be, that is exactly how you operate.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
Well, for about five six years I operated like that.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yeah. Well, in my case, it was mostly just booze
that I was buying back in my darts, yeah, and
darts in my dole days. But it has occurred to me,
and you know, I've got I've had four girls, had
some struggles fellas, you know, making the dollar stretch out,
feeding the faro and I thought, you know, it'd be
really great if we could give people some tips about

(46:45):
how to really stretch out that dollar. You know what
I'm saying, some sort of budget advice, I guess, Okay,
if you got any Well, like, for example, what I
do at the start of every week, every Monday, I
make a massive pot of porridge, okay, a huge pot
of porridge. That's good, and I stick that in the
fridge and every morning when I get up for Bricky,

(47:08):
I get that big pot of porridge out. I take
a big dollar of the porridge there and I just
splat it into the into the plate.

Speaker 6 (47:16):
That's quite good because it means you can take it around.
But you know, you can put that in a sort
of a coffee takeaway cup. Yes, you take away and
then just suck on that, you know, when you're walking
around the city, as I know you do.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
What do you do?

Speaker 6 (47:26):
The trick I used to use when I was starving
my ass off, when I was broken on the dollars.
Anytime I felt those hunger pangs, I just go to sleep.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
That's the other thing you can do.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
Yeah, And so you sleep up. It's sort of like
a you're sort of like a hibernating beer.

Speaker 6 (47:44):
You're sort of sleeping around your twenty hours et cetera,
et cetera, and you're just waiting for your next payday
to come through.

Speaker 5 (47:49):
Well, the interesting thing about a beer that hibernates is
they eat heaps first. Yes, but whereas you're in the opposite.
I've done that a couple of times. So you goes,
if I just go to sleep now, I'll wake up
and I'll be hungry for breakfast. Yeah, I'll have got
through this meal. I mean, you haven't been broke until
your way of dealing with hunger is to go to sleep.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Yeah yeah. Uh.

Speaker 5 (48:08):
One thing, one thing I used to do is you
can make your tea bags go two, three, four a
good run.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
So you just you know, obviously use a tea bag,
put it in again and again, and then it might
start to lose its sort of you know, its impact.
That's when you get one of your other old T
bags and put to it double up until you got
about four in there, and gears get the.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
Fresh T bag.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Yeah yeah, totally.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
Yeah. Wow.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
Now, I know this is going to sound really extravagant,
but what I used to do is every at the
beginning of every month is buy a cow and then
you just you section it up butcher. Yeah, And I
saved money because I used to do that myself. But
I was trained to do that. I mean, I'm not

(48:52):
you know, putting it out there that you do that
willy nilly, by the way, and I just section that up,
you know, and and free use it for the month.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
How much is a cow?

Speaker 3 (49:03):
Oh well, I didn't never used to pay.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
I used to just you know, the thing about the.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
Night go out in my trailer there and just you know,
so you're a cow rustler.

Speaker 6 (49:11):
The thing about a cow is if you open a gate,
put a bit of grass at the back of the trailer,
I'll go home with any bastard totally just steal a cow. Well,
three cows have got free will, man, cows have got
free will. So if a cow wants to come and
hop in the trailer and go home with what he
j well that's the cows.

Speaker 8 (49:29):
So be it.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
Did you have a trailer?

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (49:32):
Man?

Speaker 9 (49:32):
What?

Speaker 3 (49:33):
Actually? I had a horse float weirdly enough?

Speaker 4 (49:36):
He actually and in the end you lost that horse. Right.
You used to dub the cows on your pushbike.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
The whold Ching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio. Hold Ike.

Speaker 9 (49:53):
Sporty headlines, Rod time for your later sport headlines thanks
to export o true. The bear for here was Spain
lead France tu nil in the first FIFA World Cup
semi final in Dallas after sixty eight minutes.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
Wow, who's called the goals?

Speaker 9 (50:11):
A couple of the Spanish players did, Yeah, what I can?
I have got a fun stat here. Spain has had
about fifty three percent of possession in the match.

Speaker 4 (50:21):
That is fun. That's that's really good. There's so much fun.

Speaker 9 (50:25):
It was it fifty three fifty three percent when I
last looked about thirty minutes, so.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
It's about fifty to fifty, about fifty fifty.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
So what are we write and saying that France would have?
Was it for France? I had fifty three? No Spain,
France we had forty seven.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
Yeah, wow, good and that's there.

Speaker 9 (50:42):
The All Blacks are allaying an injury fair to Jordi
Barrett after he didn't train at North Harbor Stadium ahead
of Saturday's tests. Attack coach Mike Bless says he doesn't
believe the second fives in any doubt.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
The All Blacks later clarify that Jordy as.

Speaker 9 (51:00):
Nile, which isn't funny, and decided to rest him to
manage his workload.

Speaker 3 (51:05):
Romple still spread.

Speaker 9 (51:10):
Sports graphics and tech pioneer sir Ian Taylor believes joy
is being taken out of sporting moments by review systems.
Recent high profile decisions at the Football World Cup and
the All Blacks win over Italy and in the State
of o are making review systems an increasingly hot topic
of debate.

Speaker 6 (51:29):
Well, of course Syria and Taylor there he pioneered, pioneered
the Hawkeye system for cricket, Jase Lbw's et cetera, et cetera, runouts,
all those sorts of things get out of his need
and laboratories. Wow wow, yeah, was telling me all about
that coming on here. He's a massive fiend for sporting technology. Hey,

(51:51):
Brenn Brinn, Yeah, right before you go, Brent.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
Now, what's going on into Misia?

Speaker 4 (51:57):
Was bo?

Speaker 9 (52:02):
What is going on in Tanisia?

Speaker 4 (52:04):
Well, that's why you're here.

Speaker 5 (52:05):
When you're here, man, it's obviously for you to tell us,
like you're the one that says, hey, I've got a
segment called what's going on Tenizia?

Speaker 4 (52:12):
Can you make me a sting?

Speaker 9 (52:13):
I think they're they're in the other semi final at FIFA.

Speaker 4 (52:16):
I think.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Guys, can we take Brent off our group chat? Because
he keeps coming up with these ideas and they're just
not working for me.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
Okay, well we'll give them another another crack.

Speaker 9 (52:29):
I could do a market update if you want.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
No, Okay, have you prepared?

Speaker 9 (52:34):
I haven't actually known.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
Okay, here's the Arctic Monkeys, the Hilarchy Big Show with
Jason Mike and Kyzy tune in four on.

Speaker 3 (52:45):
Radiolary Arctic Monkey Zera on the Big Show Breakfast this
Wednesday morning. The time is eight thirty six. The score
on the soccer still Spain to Viva la France zero.

Speaker 6 (52:58):
Man.

Speaker 4 (52:58):
I'll tell you what, man, I've got football fever. Yeah,
I got the fever. Keasy really for the foosball? Brother?
Are you supporting? Look for me? I feel like football
is a winner on the day.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
But now that you know, I've always got a soft
one in my heart for the fridge because I came
on to the New Zealand soil when they bombed one
of our you know, bombed the Green Peace boat.

Speaker 4 (53:19):
Yes, and I always thought that took you know, real balls.
So you're going for front So are you going for Spain?
I know I'd like to see them get absolutely fellas.
Pydration break, Yeah, Pugs is in, he's got pis.

Speaker 6 (53:35):
Oh wow, he's going to pie like a drop pie.
He just dropped a pie on the ground, sauce pegs.
So they do these hydration breaks, don't they? On the
football there, which apparently is a means to sort of
generate a couple of billion dollars of extra revenue. So
we thought we'd did a py edration break, which is

(53:55):
where our pug Sun comes in randomly during the show
and just give us a pie.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
We didn't have to eat.

Speaker 5 (54:02):
And the football's halfway through each half said about the
twenty two minute mark, the riff just stops play. They
all go and have a branded sports drength. We're doing
the same with Dad's pies for the py dration break.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
I've got a butter chicken by the way, fellows, what
are you guys running there?

Speaker 4 (54:15):
Mine's butter chicken as well.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
Okay, min.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
Hey, just while we're on pies too, hot, bag it up?

Speaker 3 (54:24):
Is there any sauce? Though? Seriously, I can't do a
pie without sauce.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
I'll give you sauce in a minute.

Speaker 3 (54:28):
Okay, where you go?

Speaker 4 (54:31):
Just while we're on You're gonna give me, hey, just
while we're on pies.

Speaker 5 (54:38):
A reminder that the Baker's New Zealand Supreme Pie Awards
are happening August fourth at the Quarters Hotel, and you
want to make a join us. You put on a
suit and tie, you sit at the fancy table with us.
You get to stand out at the Quarters Hotel and
get bricking to. If you're keen, text the word Pie
Awards to three four eight three.

Speaker 3 (54:53):
And I'll tell you what. Everyone's going to be there
because I've heard so much about that night. How good it? No, seriously,
everyone just goes off about it. So I'm going this year,
You're going this year, two years.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
I'm going to go this year as well, mate. I
can't wait.

Speaker 6 (55:07):
You get to you know, chow down on some pie
and the winners. I'll also get that there's obviously the
big dinner and she's a three course meal, and then
you get to a few beers and you get responsibly steamed.
Then you get to chew old Hoody jay z is off. Yeah,
both of them. That's the end of the py edration
break Fellers.

Speaker 4 (55:26):
Ads.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
The Hurdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hod.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
Iky is indeed the food fighters there on the Big
Show Breakfast this Wednesday morning. The time is eight forty
six and there's a lot of sporting action going on
at the moment, Feelers and this weekend there's a real
sporting dilemma.

Speaker 5 (55:44):
There is obviously the Football World Cup right now, Spain's
still out in front two nothing over fronts. My parents
are coming up to Aucland this weekend to visit. And
the reason they are coming is Megan's got pie crume
on his for I don't know how that happens. The
reason they're coming up to visit is because my dad
is a staunch rugby union man. He loves the Chiefs,

(56:04):
he loves the Bay a Plenty Steamers, and he loves
the All Blacks.

Speaker 4 (56:09):
He loves the steamer man that runs in the family.
It does. We do love this, to be honest. If
I had to choose out of the three to what
I'd watch, the Steamers, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
I don't know that I'd watch the Steamer but I mean,
I mean, carry on.

Speaker 5 (56:19):
The Steamers rugby team, all right. But they're coming up
to Auckland this weekend. I have organized tickets for us
to go and watch the Warriors play live, and it'll
be my parents' first ever Warriors game. Basically, I've been
trying to convince my dad to get on board with
the Warriors, but he loves rugby union. He's like, nah,
he's a union man. He's like you, Jayson, like just
being a score and intentionally being anti the Warriors. Yeah,

(56:41):
totally and so I was all right, fine, I got
to get his tickets. So him and mam are coming up.
It's going to be very exciting. However, the massive All
Blacks game, which is All Blacks taking on Ireland, is
at the same time Saturday night in Auckland. One's at
Eden Park, one's at Mount Smart the All Blacks. I
think it's just after seven, whereas the wars are at
seven thirty five.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Very fuming.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Yeah, very easy for me. I'm like your dad, he
will be human. You take dragging him along to that
dire stadium out in the middle of the wop wops
watching them instead of watching a great All Black test match.
So I'll be fully unionized. It'll be the All Blacks

(57:22):
v Ireland, not even a challenge, not even a question.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
Where did you become aware of this? Kusy is deliberate.

Speaker 5 (57:29):
I became aware of this literally maybe twenty minutes ago,
when I was out in the office, right and the
girls are talking about how they go to the game
at Eden Park on Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (57:37):
Yeah, and I was like, hang on, I'm at the
Warriors Saturday night. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (57:41):
It's going to be interesting to see how your father
reacts to this, because it is a huge game.

Speaker 4 (57:46):
It is a huge game.

Speaker 6 (57:47):
And even for me, like I absolutely love the Wars,
you know, any other week and they would be the priority.

Speaker 4 (57:53):
But given us against Ireland, you know the Abs.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
Yeah, in the last seriously, in the last three years,
they have been out standingly good. They've been handing our
ass to us.

Speaker 4 (58:03):
Yes, here's your assy. Here it is, take a look.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
Oh that's cute.

Speaker 4 (58:07):
So what I'm thinking of doing is, you know, you.

Speaker 5 (58:09):
Watch the Wars live and then after that we go
home and watch a delay of the All Blacks. However,
by that stage it could be you know, sort of
ten o'clock, which means the game won't finished at almost midnight.

Speaker 4 (58:18):
They want to do that?

Speaker 3 (58:19):
Can I profer a solution here?

Speaker 4 (58:22):
Is that the same as offer, Yes, your dad's.

Speaker 3 (58:26):
Most welcome at the Jiz Palace, my joint, you're yeah,
my apartment time and your mum. Of course. The whole
point is that open on snacks and cheeses and cold meat.

Speaker 4 (58:40):
No you won't. You'll get them to pick it up
on the way, some pickles, some chatneys. The thing is
that they're coming up to watch the Wars live for
the first time. Oh, that's right, that's the whole point
of this whole Well, how about this? How about this?

Speaker 6 (58:52):
You go to the Warriors, you take along a laptop, okay,
and on the laptop you put the All Blacks game.

Speaker 4 (59:00):
You're nice, wrious, the best of both world. Yeah. But
the people around you will love you, Keezy for doing that.
Think of all the friends you'll make. I kin'd of
want them to lock in on the wars though.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
Fellas come. I just put it out to the audience
actually on three four eight three. I know you don't
want me to.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
What's that?

Speaker 3 (59:16):
Just the idea, yea, and what they're going to go with.
Get a vibe about it.

Speaker 4 (59:21):
I see what you mean.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
Maybe tomorrow we can have an official poll line idea.

Speaker 4 (59:25):
It'll be interesting to see which way people fall on this.

Speaker 3 (59:28):
In the meantime, He's Pearl Jam.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
The Hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio Hold.

Speaker 3 (59:37):
I King Xi's there on the Big Show Breakfast this
Wednesday morning. Now exciting news and maybe some of the
Breakfast audience who aren't really familiar with the Big Show.
We'll notice we do live shows quite often. We get
out on the road and we go and see all
the backbones out there, and we're about to very shortly
head out on the road again fellas.

Speaker 5 (59:57):
Yeah, that's right, Jason, Well you say very short. We're
talking November. Oh is it November November for this particular one,
Dunedin Craft Beer and Food.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Oh I got you.

Speaker 5 (01:00:07):
Yes, they got a few more events before that. But today,
right now we're just saying, look, hello, it's happening. We're
going down again to Dunedin for the Craft Beer and
Food Festival. Still working out the details. There will be
a live show the night before or actually as part
of the festival.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Last time. Remember we're in the area in the middle
of the festival.

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
Yes, I remember, bloody great seat up they've got there
by the way.

Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Turned into a bit of a moshi there, which was
cool it did. But if you are keen to join,
text the word Dunedin too three four eight three. You
can also hit to hoduck you dot co dot zi
to find the details there. That'll send you along to
the website to get tickets if you're going to join.
And it's a two day a fair I believe last
year was a Friday Saturday. If you want to see
the big show live go on the Friday Friday evening.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Because I remember you actually stayed on, didn't you keasy
for the whole two days? You came back a shall
of a man.

Speaker 4 (01:00:55):
Yeah, Pugs and I we did.

Speaker 5 (01:00:57):
Actually we met these two fellers who kept giving us
dirry and boozers and stuff. Yeah, and Emerson's at the time.
Actually we pretty much just had free access to their
keigs and that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
Yes, so it was, it was, It was a it
was you know, Well, the great thing about it it's
in the stadium there, and of course it's covered down there,
and and you know, you get your food stools, there's
all sorts of stuff going on, live music. It's a
hell of a weekend.

Speaker 6 (01:01:22):
It was my first time ever going down there. I've
not been there before. I've not been to the Sustainer either.
That the stadium that have got down their bloody magnificence
set up and as you say, like the music. In
terms of the artist, it was bloody huge. If I'm
not mistaken. I think Sir David Dobbin probably played because
he plays everywhere. Mega Death, the.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
Rolling Stone, Yeah, the Rolling Stones were there, which surprised me. Coldplay, Yeah,
cold Play. I went home when they came in Tom.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Petty, Tom Petty, Yeah, he was awesome. He's still got
to day.

Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
He does well.

Speaker 5 (01:01:56):
Hodak you dot co dot in z for more details
or texting three four eight three. That's an ETN craft
Beer and Food festival happening in November. We will see
you down there.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
The Hiarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
Tune in on Radio Holky Big Audio dynam I there
on the Big Show Breakfast this Wednesday morning. Let's get
into a bit of TV chat. What's on the Telly
with Mike Minogue. Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 6 (01:02:29):
Last night I watched another episode of Brennan COO's Singles Club,
which you can see. They're on YouTube free of charge,
and you very good. They've gone to all sorts of
different places. They had an episode. So this is Brittany
Stent and Kuda Forrester, the comedians. It's the second season
of their show. The first one one Best Entertainment Show
possibly at the TV Awards, and it's very very good.

(01:02:53):
In the first season they were talking about what it's
like to be single as you're sort of getting older
as a woman. But very very funny, very sightful, very
really lovely chat that they had as they travel around
the country going to various singles events. Now Kuda Forester
is pregnant during the show, and Brittanley stant has got
a partner, but still wondering does she go overseas?

Speaker 4 (01:03:13):
Does she stay back?

Speaker 6 (01:03:14):
All these sorts of things they've been and met ex
boyfriends and had yarns with them about what their relationships
were like at the time, and.

Speaker 4 (01:03:22):
Traveled through Wellington.

Speaker 6 (01:03:24):
Last night's episode, episode five, they were over in Gisbone
which is where kudas mariahs so she met her cousin
at or two over there, Bloody beautiful.

Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
I haven't been to Guzzy for man thirty plus years.
I got to go.

Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Yeah, it's amazingn't Yeah, I'd love to go to Guzzy again. Yeah,
we'll go and copple over of that because it sounds
really good. I'm going to start watching that tonight.

Speaker 6 (01:03:45):
It's a great show. I give it four busies out
of a possible five. I'm not sure how many episodes
are left, but yeah, it's there on YouTube at Brinn
and COO's Singles Club Beautiful Fellas.

Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Last night I watched an old classic movie called Bicycle
Thieves nineteen forty eight. It was made Wow Wow as Spanish. Yes, no, French,
French and no, actually Italian, There we go?

Speaker 4 (01:04:18):
Is it the one that's in English?

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
No. In post war Rome, Antonio, a man desperate for work,
definitely is shattered when the bicycle he needs for his
job is stolen. With the help of his son Bruno,
he sets out to find it. Sounds boring and tedious,
doesn't it. But I think it won a massive amount
of awards, this particular movie, and it's one of those

(01:04:41):
movies that is a really simple storyline, just beautifully told,
and I think it was a sort of herald of
the startup sort of realism and film and so forth.
Very sad, very moving. The little kid who plays Bruno,
it's just outstanding. I mean, they're all outstanding, and it's
I personally love seeing real life sort of footage of

(01:05:05):
nineteen forty eight around that time of Italy and stuff
like that. It's just a really simple story, beautifully done,
beautifully acted, and beautifully told. I'll give it four out
of five buzzies.

Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
You simply must go. You simply must What is it
called bicycle thieves?

Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
Bicycle thieves?

Speaker 5 (01:05:20):
Jace, I have become hooked on Samsung TV. Yeah man,
which is the thing that Jay Zoways bangs on about.
And it's the Korean channels.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
How good?

Speaker 5 (01:05:30):
Eh So, I'm addicted to this Korean channel that follows
food shows and there's one called Street Food Fighter. It's
a South Korean food travel show where chef host Bake
Jong one walks around street food markets and he was
in Hong Kong and then he was in Bangkok and
just walks into all these tiny little shops, orders the

(01:05:50):
local stuff, talks to the shift and then just eats
it in front of you and just like explains what
it is. I watched three episodes in a row. Yeah man,
so good Samsung TV Street Food Fighter. I'm gonna be
delving through all those channels about the Ice channel as well.

Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Oh how good?

Speaker 4 (01:06:04):
I might watch an episode of that good. It's good.
How are you mocked? Kezy? How are you mock?

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
I reckon?

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
Yeah, it's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:06:11):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
The Whodichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune
in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
Well the Go Your Mad Bassards that's the big show.
Breakfast Done and Dusted Today now if you don't know this,
you're new to the Big Show. We do a bonus
podcast called the podcast Outro, which we record every morning
before the show in this instance, and every afternoon when
we're doing the afternoon show. Before the show, it's just
the fellas having a bit of a chin wag, really,

(01:06:47):
isn't it.

Speaker 6 (01:06:47):
Yeah, a little bit of a gossip, a little bit
of a catch up about what's happened in the previous
twenty three year shows.

Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
Twenty hoursay that, especially while we're on the Bricky Show.

Speaker 4 (01:06:56):
We're back to normal next week. But the outro is
a warm up.

Speaker 5 (01:07:00):
Yeah, it was really cruise. It gets my brain working. Yes,
I actually can talk and six am sharp.

Speaker 6 (01:07:05):
It's funny because we come in here in the morning
cause he's always sitting out at the table out there,
he's doing a word search, yeah, or in the paper.

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
Sometimes you come in you're doing a little bit of
coloring in and he's not. He's not got a word
to say. He's definitely you're definitely still waking up, aren't you. Yeah,
But it's because of you coming very very loud. That's
the that's the difference.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
But it's not what am I doing?

Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
Yeah, Well, today. You were sitting on the couch this
first time.

Speaker 6 (01:07:31):
You've already been here, actually, Jason, but you're in a
you're in a much better you're to me, it seems
you're becoming accustomed to mornings.

Speaker 3 (01:07:39):
I'm adjusting.

Speaker 5 (01:07:40):
Yeah, And speaking of the couch, Maggie. The clip from
today's podcast, which comes out a little later on, is
entitled couch Time. I was drinking a beer on the
couch and playing play station that was actually stoked.

Speaker 3 (01:07:52):
With your little button mushroom rolling to the shot. That's funny.

Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
Start stop start, start.

Speaker 5 (01:08:04):
What what is that?

Speaker 3 (01:08:05):
Why is that?

Speaker 9 (01:08:11):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (01:08:12):
What it is?

Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:08:13):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
For me it was it was the it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
But for me it was like, I'm literally just talking
about sitting on the couch and then Jay starts talking
about my downstairs.

Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
It's very confusing, Magie.

Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
Straight off to work for you, Yeah, I think so, man,
I'll go home and some breakfast with the old far
now that it's quite good because it's school holiday so
my daughter's at home.

Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
But yeah, and then ripping into some work. Fellas. I
got to say, I'm loving it. I'm loving the mornings.

Speaker 3 (01:08:44):
Good stuff, mate, What about you, Keezy, I've got a
quiet one.

Speaker 5 (01:08:47):
So they've got some trade's coming around to my house
to do some repairs, and then, to be honest, I'm
just gonna maybe have a nap, maybe for a walk,
maybe go for a ride on my motorbike.

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
I haven't decided yet, Jason, what about you men?

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Same for me, actually, Kizy, we've got trade's coming around
today as well. Get them over and done with, and
then wander around the city aimlessly.

Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
Yeah, I'm a wive.

Speaker 5 (01:09:09):
Obviously we'll all be listening to Big Sandy's and the
Hudaky Day Show of course.

Speaker 3 (01:09:13):
Of course, how you take care out there. We'll be
back same time again tomorrow till then goodbye.
