Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Hobarky Big Show Show thanks to crave Worthy street
Food freshly made with Reburger.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's time to go euphasized.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
This is the biggest, biggest feast. This is the biggest,
our biggest shot Big Show with Jason Hoich, Night Minogue
and Yes Gooday. In New Zealand.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
It is the tenth of August twenty twenty six and
you are listening to the Ducky Big Show, brought to
you by Reburger.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Grave Worthy street Food freshly made with Rebig.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Ye scrumptedlyous.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Certainly is Pugs no Worthy Jay today. But you've still
got Kezy, You've got Maggie and old pugsn and Meggie.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
How are you feeling today, man mate on brand New? Obviously,
you and I went out and had our date night
on Saturday night there when I saw David Nyika fight
huge and thanks very much for Barkers for dressing you
and I are kezy. We look sensational and it was
It was a night of nights, isn't it. It was
for some more than others. Yeah, some more than others.

(01:03):
We'll get into that, but let me put it to
you this way, just as a little teaser. The pegs
on right. Oh Mezy had a shock ah.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Little teaser there. Don't want to give it all the
way though, Pugs. That's the secret with radio. How are
you today, mate?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I'm well, thanks Fellers. Always a pleasure to be here
with you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Very grateful because you're thirty right. Yes, I'm thirty four
and I had a big weekend. You hit a double
hitter over the weekend. How are you feeling today?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Just fantastic, man. No, Look, there's a little bit of tiredness,
just sort of creeping in there around the sides. Yeah,
but inside all warm and fuzzy.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
The difference, i'd say, Keasy, is that Pugs is probably
a bit more pest fit than you, which is crazy. Yeah,
you don't do it, Oh, absolutely well. I mean you're
young enough. You're young in a run missus, and by
then I mean running a young missus, which means you've
got to keep up with So you certainly do a
lot more benders than old Keesy does over here.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Responsible and I'm trying to start a family. So I'm
not trying to start a family. I mean my wife
doesn't think against families.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
No, I don't hate your problem, man, I've got one
of those.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Have you?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Oh my god, are you expecting a baby?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, thanks, Yeah, what to do? We're going to name
it backbone. I hey, Moge, what's coming up on today's show?

Speaker 5 (02:21):
By the way, Stoo Doo show with Old Mogi.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Another two opportunities for you and a mate to get flights,
accommodation tickets to be a vana and this is huge,
Actually two opportunities we're going to run today the fielding,
So stay tuned for the que to call. Give us
a bell. I know eight hundred haraki and it could
be you. We've got an update on our shipbox pigeon
Keezy on all wings looking over his beak with me.

(02:48):
Kezy came almost one hundred out of one hundred and
fifteen in the last race. We're going to find out
today how we did over the weekend over a longer distance. Yeah,
I've not you know, the last race was one hundred
and fifty. I'm not sure that you speed up over
two hundred and fifty k's, you know what I mean?
By one hundred and fifty k's you've probably reached top speed.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Our best beard is that he's in it for the
long game. Yeah, he's an endurance pitcher.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, endurance pitch he's more no fairer than he is
Usain Bolts.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Okay, yeah, right, And next up we're going to talk
about our big date Caezy. It was a it was
a hell of a night, hell of a shindig they
put on out there.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
We're on the tables, we're wearing tuxedos quite close to
the very close to that, and we were sitting with
some big wigs as well, and that certainly caught me
off guard, Yeah, because I'd had a few beforehand. But
in the meantime, a real contender for the Greatest of
All Time Countdown, which kicks off next week. It is
Pearl jam Alive on the Huducky Big Show.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
The Hierarchy Big Show week days from four on radio.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
It is mus Hysteria on The Hiducky Big Show.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Man of the tenth of August, got Kezy Pugs and
Mogi Old Hoodie Jays on holiday. She'll be back together
on Monday, which is bloody exciting.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Mogi.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I was excited.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Saturday, we were invited to the David Nuka fight was
happening on the north Shore. North Shore Events Center was
broadcast live on TV and z However, midweek, Mogi and
I were asked if we wanted to sit at the
TV and z in table, which on one condition, yeah,
they were happy with that too. They were pretty damn
happy with that. We had to wear tuxedos. But you

(04:26):
get there, there's a lot of you know, mingling and schmoozing,
and there's free beers, there's free wine, free food.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
It's excellent. It was.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
It's something that I'll never be able to pay for myself.
But if you get the invite, you get stuck in.
I didn't realize. I assumed we'd be at a table
where other media people, you know, people from ZIM and
the Hits and you know this and that, and they
would be all sitting at the same table with that.
Like I've been to the boxing before and I was
sitting with the guy from Target. I was sitting with
Leah Parnapa who used to be Rock. I was sitting

(04:55):
with all this, and so I was like to be that.
And so beforehand, I spent about three hours at the
part up the road getting a little glow on yes,
and then I arrived and it was executives, top level,
big dogs.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
It was. It was. It was all of the top brass. Yeah,
all of the top brass. I had three tables and
were all sort of jammed together, so if you're at one,
you're at you're at all of them.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah. And like so when I was standing up to
go wis, which was quite often, I was like back
in my chair into essentially the CEO Universal and it
was just and I arrived and I wasn't expecting that,
and I was quite worried that I'd had a few
too many.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Place to make an impression.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Well, yeah, it depends what the impression is, but one
way or the other, you're going to make it. The
first impression Keezy made was to be lately see quite
clearly on the seedd by six thirty keys rolls in
quarter past seven were.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Ages away down the road.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
It's five minutes away, five minutes away. So I'm messaging
them saying where are you many because I'm not entirely
sure that I'm at the right table. And then and
then he's like, oh, yeah, I'm about five minutes away,
another half an hour. Its f really.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
The uber to get there from the bar cost me
seven dollars. I probably should have worn an uber there,
but you know, it's.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Like, oh, be there at six City. It's like, yeah,
but no one's going to be there at six City. Yeah,
well you know I was your host? Was there? The
person who invite us was there? Where's Kezy? I wish
I could tell you. Yeah, I'd love to cover for him,
but I'm not going.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
To the lair attitude.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
And the other side of it, of course, was you
turn up eyes absolutely lolling back on you here. I
don't know about that. I don't remember the big that
bad and wearing the most crinkled shirt.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
No said my life, you were onto people with crinkled shirts.
I remember one time I had a white shirt and
I think it was maybe before Radio Woods or something,
some hodaky event and Moggie was on my ass about
ironing my ship.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
But that was terrible, like mine wasn't pug Well, the
vast majority of yours was covered up by your beautiful
backers Taxedo jet. It was brand, but it was. And
somebody made a comment dexture and the photo of us
on the Instagram page was that that old steam Keyzy
needs to do some steaming of his crinckly ship. Wasn't
that bad?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I will be I will be honest like I was
going to rush out the door to get here, and
I was getting changed and I was like, crap, I
don't have a white shirt. So I just grabbed mine
out of the cupboard, threw it in the dryer for
five minutes, pulled it out. I was like, cool, looks
exactly the same before, and then put it on again.
So the thing, the thing I'm worried about Mogie is,
as I said, I arrived didn't really realize who I
was sitting with and trying to make sure I didn't

(07:24):
make a bad impression, like.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Well, I mean you had a few from my from
my side. I drove there so I didn't drink, which
was I felt magnificent about yesterday and again today. I
know Kezy was hung over yesterday and he's not much
better today, So yeah, I mean there was a few
different things going on. I mean. The thing about is
I want Kezy to be Keasy. I don't want people

(07:45):
to think you're not what you know, to give a
false impression of who you are, which is steam Kesy,
Midnight Steamer Keasy. These are the things that make you
who you are, and I'm not going to get in
the way of that. So I certainly wasn't going to
talk you off for Claire, for tell you to settle down,
or pull your head in, or you should be a
shamed of yourself, or let's get a taxi earlier, any
of that sort of stuff. To me, it's the sort

(08:07):
of thing you'll learn on your own then, I believe, actually,
because normally what you do is you came it and
you act like you've done nothing wrong. I got a
bit of audio from the event. What bit of old
old keys again a bit too much into the turn
around a couple of times and you're filming me. That's right,
you would have seen that audio as well.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Send that to me, mate, A lot of them we'll
get in the next Is this the Stereophonics?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
The Hurdiarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keysy tune
in week days and four on Radio hodac.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Cole Celebrity Skin on the Hurdarchy Big Show for twenty
six this Monday afternoon.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Hoidy j back on Monday.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Also on Monday, the Greatest of All Time Countdown is returning.

three favorites and then boom Monday morning, ninet and.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
We rip in you if I do mine today. Fellas
Oh my goats.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
God, I like how you've just sprung at us sign
here there pegs. I like you've done the man go.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Yeah, that awesome.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Absolutely, I'm looking forward to hearing them now. Over the
weekend we went to the David Nuka fight over on
the North Shore. Oh Kezy and I got ourselves juiced
up in our back is I've never actually I've never
worn a or owned a tuxedo, and I thought pretty sharp.
Yeah they are quite nicety, magnificent, not too bad. Well yeah,

(09:40):
the troublers Kezy was sort of only held in it
by the many buttons on the on the shirt and
on the jacket. There you had a few in your
keezy when you arrived, and then you had the here's
a telltale sign. Now this thing you had to be
there at six cedy Keyzy's like standy rolls in. What
does he pour himself a red wine? Yum yummy? Starting

(10:02):
on the reds now That tells me he's got a
few hours up of sleep. Right, he's been at a
bar around a sports bar around the corner, dressed up
in a tuxedoly I walked into it.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
I walked into the sports bar wearing a tuxedo. Every
single person there had a Wars jersey on or like
a Northland jacket or something. So I went into the bathroom,
took the bow tie and the jacket off, the jacket
off the seat there, and just tried to look like
a regular old crumpled up. Yeah, that was still pretty crumpled.
But I'll tell you what, Like everyone I was with
it either in the Pokey's or you know, doing this

(10:33):
and doing that.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
And I'm bring a tuxedo. Yeah, man, you feel like
a right nob shup, Well this will make you feel bad.
We've got some audio of you, you know, enjoying yourself,
shall we say, during the NUCA fight itself by facing
the way man go diven scared he can wasteed Ki,

(11:12):
Why you say my name not a keez grad keejee
bye ha Ok? Do you want to bear? Do you
want a beer? I'm not drinking what It's actually way

(11:36):
better than I was anticipating. It's not bad.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Seriously, I will Honestly, when I arrived and saw he
was at the table, I would liken it to a
guy taking a cisner out for a flight and he's
been having a lot of fun and he's bringing it
in and then he gets to the runway and finds
out it's not actually a runway, it's like a helicopter pad.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Yes, that was what I felt like. Another way to
put it as if you're absolutely hammered drunk and then
all of a sudden there's a massive emergency, you know,
like a forkliff tips on your best mate, and all
of a sudden you've got to be the one that
deals with that. And you know, people say they're sober
up immediately. That's what happened to you. It was like
you sobered up immediately, but you're still hammered. Yeah, is

(12:15):
this your way of telling me that we're best mates?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
The Huriching Big Show with Jas, Mike and Kezy tune
in week days a four on Radio Hodache.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Green Day on The Hidickey Big Show four thirty eight
This Monday afternoon, you got Kezy, Mogi and pugsn and
Mike Minogue. Friday Night, one of the all time great
Warriors victories they took on the Panthers, the top of
the table, best team in the last eight or so
years in the NRL, Panthers, And not only did we
do the Huckers, the Warriors hucker for the first time,

(12:45):
we came out there and absolutely dominated them from start
to finish. So of course we can't go on without
bringing former Warrior, NRL legend and Portoloo maestro Charlie Gabbin
to the show. Charlie, how are you going this Monday?

Speaker 6 (12:59):
Man, I've had a great Monday.

Speaker 7 (13:01):
I'm still kind of like I'm not a drug taker,
but it feels like I've taken drugs over the weekend.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Right that.

Speaker 7 (13:10):
That was probably the best regular season game I think
in Warrior's history, you know, the build up to it,
the sold out crowd vers Penrif the Harker at the start,
I think, you know, the whole country would have had
a half mongrel.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yeah, one hundred percent, Charlie, one hundred percent. And the
thing is, man Like, going into this game as a
cynical Wise fan, I was like, oh God, you know,
hopefully we put up a decent fight, you know against Panthers.
Hopefully you know, we can maybe Eke out a win
or at least not lose too badly. But I didn't
even think of the fact that we could come out
and absolutely put them to the sword. And also with

(13:43):
a new halves period with Luke metcalf back in the
halves for the first time in ages.

Speaker 7 (13:48):
Yeah, for me, if you roll the tapes back, I
was very confident that we were going to dominate. But
then with so Mighty Martin out and Luke Metcalfe coming
back in, it's just like a massive spanner in the workspace.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
He just fit right in.

Speaker 7 (14:01):
The four pack went forward to Aaron Clark for Shahara
started the game and really got it over the opposition
and it was kind of a demolition job for sixty
five minutes. It's a bit of a selection headache now
whether you go to Mighty Martin or metcalf But I
don't know, Webster kind of you know, if you're playing well,
you keep your spot, you know, yeah, talk pick. He

(14:23):
kept his spot over Chance for a while, and a
Chance came back and played well, So he's got a spot.
So maybe it is metcalt spot.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Now, yeah, I think so. I think you've got to
leave him the because it's going to be to mighty
coming back from injury, could be as long as four weeks.
You know, I invite him over for dinner. Probably not,
but look he was, he was. He was pretty bloody good.
Just ask him. He thought he had a blinder. But
someone who I really enjoyed was a look the whole team,

(14:53):
but Lecqua at center, Yeah, amazing A gubby he is, he.

Speaker 7 (14:59):
Is, he's You know, normally you're looking at those players
from other teams with the trail much and stuff like that,
and you're thinking, man, why can't Worries get.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
One of these guys.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
But We've got a few of them now, and I
think Lika is going to be a generational player and
hopefully we can keep them long term. But at the
end of the day, we just want to win a
Grand Final with them.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
One hundred percent. And that was That was one of
those classic games where you like I was on my
feet just screaming at the TV. Just a classic barnstorming
Warriors game where you you just feel every sort of
every step, every play, every pass, every tackle bust. Look,

(15:37):
it's hard not to hope. I've got to say when
it comes to Grand Finals, and I've already got my tickets, Charlie,
you got yours.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
I haven't yet.

Speaker 7 (15:44):
I'm hoping, hoping I do a few cashes before then.
You know, if anyone's listening and they and they want anything,
you know, a poopeck or something just picked up and
all do that for cash. But I think out of
all the years, you know, we could be there. It's
a very open comp and there's no reason it can't
be ours. But you got to win, you know, you

(16:05):
got to win three tough games in a row at
that final.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
And that's the thing, Charlie, with these Warriors, you know,
when they played teams like the Dragons at the bottom
of the table, we do seem to drop down a
wee bit, but then we really do step up for
those top of the table games. Like earlier in the
season we took on the Melbourne Storm and we absolutely
dominated them as well. And at the end of the day,
as long as we keep winning heading into the finals,
and then we managed to step up again against these

(16:28):
top teams, like for the first time in a long time,
I am actually getting a bit fizzed up, you know
what I mean. I am saying to think positively about
the end of the season.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
I think so too, Like remember the worries of a
few years ago or even forever. Definitely when I was playing,
you don't know what you're going to get.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
Now you know like.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
You're going to put in a solid performance. Yes, we
got our pants pulled down by the Bulldogs, but they
were just completely on.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
And it was a great wake up call for us.

Speaker 7 (16:55):
Yeah, but I think our leadership is so strong now
of Barnett, Fisher, Harris Chance at the back, you could yeah,
well they're just like they get up. So I think
you can confidently go into a game saying, hey, if
this is a big game, we're going to get up,
whereas the opposition is probably thinking, damn, I don't know
how we're going to goainst this Warriors Ford Pack. So

(17:17):
it's a good position to be as a fan.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
One hundred percent, Charlie.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
And before we let you go, mate, as per, who
was your player of the round?

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Brought to you by Porter.

Speaker 7 (17:25):
King, I'm giving it to Luke Metcalf. He was sensational.
He's he ain't getting a bottle of scrumpy or a
bottle of nitro, but I'll have that.

Speaker 6 (17:34):
But he definitely got the award.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, he did play well, he did play, and my
thing with him is and Mogi's right, like, I just
don't I don't know. There's something about him that does
rub me up a little bit the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
But he won that game for you know, he sealed
the deal. And something we've been looking at as well,
Charlie was kick meeters and they're saying, no, he doesn't
kick much further than you know, the guys that we've had,
which is to mighty and no not seeing k C
H two c HT. But what he does have is
huge hang time on his kicks compared to the other guys.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
Yeah, you got big hand time to Mogi.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
I appreciate that coming from you, man.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
I think, man, when the fourds are going forward, it
all works out.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
You Moggie metcalf over there. Thank you so much. Charlie,
god mate, we'll talk to you next week.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
Let's go. Let's have a great week.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Guy, don't forget if you're in Wellington you need a
portolo head up porter King.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Uncle Charlie will see you, are right.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
The Hurarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Housie Boys on The Hicky Big Show nine minutes to
five This Monday, evening, Let's talk TV.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, last night Feelers, I watched Ellie Kits, which is
a new show from Ricky Gervaise of the Office and
Extras fame. He's done an animated series about a bunch
of stray cats and that sort of sit around. They
talk to each other, as are the pugs. That's what's

(19:08):
weird about it. Not like normal cats. Well I guess
maybe normal cats do. But this is an English and
it is unbelievably it's an R sixteen because it should
be an R eighteen. Wow, it is if and see this,
if and see that, absolutely NonStop and you know, when

(19:28):
there's a lot of swearing. I was sort of trying
a bit hard to be funny by just having a
lot of swearing, but it's then it goes through that
and it gets to the other side where it's happening
so much that it actually becomes funny again. Some absolutely
just completely poor taste to rend. Is it clever? No?
Is it clever? But you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
You can be vulgar and you can be low hanging
fruit and swearing, but as long as it's kind of clever, yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
It's Ricky Gervais, so there's different, there's some golden there.
I think there's stuff that really it's like splutter laughing,
you cannot believe, right, you've just heard, And there's some
absolutely appalling content on there. And and we watch I
think six episodes. I watched five out of the six.
We watched five out of the six. My wife and
I was sixteen minutes each. My wife was cracking up.

(20:14):
But because it's shocking. But I definitely recommend it, and
I do want you guys to watch it and get
your reports back on it tomorrow because I think I
think Bags is going to be hard.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Yeah, I'm skeptical about it because for me, like I
love Ricky Gervais, his older work, his Golden Globe stuff.
I loved After Life. But I do feel like more
and more over the last recent years, as Emma has
just become how can I offend people without being clever
about it? You know?

Speaker 3 (20:42):
That's right? This one does have heart in it, but
not an annoying amount of heart like After Life, and
like what was the other one? I think he did
one called Derrett where he's really trying to bash you
over their head and excuse all the horrible stuff he
does as a bit of it, it's sort of it's
a lot better than some of the other stuff recently
which has annoyed me. Certainly worth it crack you.

Speaker 6 (21:00):
To give it a go.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Look, four buzzies out of a possible fighter is a
bit much, Okay, but it made me laugh and I
was pretty tired. So that's that's pretty good. That's on Netflix,
Alley Cats. Ricky gives all right, Pugs, how good? Mate?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
I ripped through an entire limited series yesterday on the.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Couch that's hungover right there. That's what that is.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Boy, and I watched on Netflix a show called Legends,
which I had never heard of.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Oh yeah, well with reviewed on the show, but have
we Yeah? I watched What did You Reckon? I thought
that it had very good actors in it, but it
didn't connect and some of some of the blocking, which
is how you set a camera and you play a scene,
was absolutely appalling. Who is a good actor in it?

(21:48):
Steve Coogan? Yeah, Steve Coogan. There's some stuff where their
agents and they're following people, and the way that they're
following people is sitting in the car right next to
drug dealers and looking at and looking in the rearview mirror.
It was. It was sloppy, it was classic Netflix garbage.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
I quite enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Yes, No, I mean it's it's it's the nature of art.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
I think, like my problem with it was Steve Coogan
was the humorous aspect for a lot of it, as
is Steve Coogan, right, he's famously prig and all that jazz.
But I felt it straight the tone kind of got.
They saved a lot of the funnier stuff for when
it was the most serious and when the stakes were
the highest, which I thought was a bit strange. I

(22:39):
really I thought Tom Burke was pretty unreal in that
because you know, he's this guy. Essentially it's about some
of the first undercover agents in Britain going against the
drug the heroine coming into the country. And I would
give it a solid three point eight because.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
He's out of what's the whole thing?

Speaker 4 (22:58):
I think there's like a good seven or eight six
six something like that.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
A person.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
It just bleased together after a while. Man, you know
how ninety ron tomatoes, Yeah, they don't know. Watch the
talking about Friday.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
The Hurdichy Big Show with Jason Mike and Keyzy tune
in week days at four on Radio Hodache.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
That's right, it is the Hudarcky Big Show for Monday,
the tenth of August, three minutes past five. You've got Kezy,
Moggi and pugsn and of course the Big Show brought
to you by Reburger.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Handcrafted, big Gears, loaded fries and Gorme each that will
change the game.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
M Moggie. Howdy Jay is on holiday this week.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
He sent a video of him on holiday and it
was him in a Hoducky jacket and a boy's trip hat. Yeah,
dancing to Engelbert in his own lounge.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Yeah it looked like didn't it. It looks like fun. Ay,
it's a good one to have a week off. He's
loving it is the week off us is is holiday
and half apparently.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Can I just say this is the most reels I've
ever had from him, really since he's been on holiday.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Right, and I don't know what them same here? Yeah, yeah,
I don't get any it's because of your taste.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Your taste and reels is like he doesn't want to
get one back.

Speaker 8 (24:17):
No exactly, that's probably true where he's just you know
what I'm going to do.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
I'm going to start sending them monkey buzzy reel.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
That's why until until he starts seeing me is this
nerdy guy in cosplay, which is like when you dress
up as a video game character. He keeps sending the
same guy to me because he thinks that's what being
into video games is.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Yeah, he started seeing me the same guy.

Speaker 6 (24:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
The other one that he sends me is a guy
that's like a fantasy writer and there's like and growing
his fantasy online community.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Yes, that's right, that's what he thinks. It's you guys.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
To be fair to him, I keep sending him industrial
equipment supply companies, so.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
It's such good stuff.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
But knowing that he's in fully attire, just in a
sc roll hole on his own couch, man, he's going
to be so great when he comes back next, of course, tomorrow, Maggie,
you're on holiday.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Are you going down south going to Queenstown? Ye're looking
forward bloody rippertop with me though a little bit.

Speaker 6 (25:11):
Of a little bit.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Yeah, I wouldn't want to just enjoy yourself.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Coming up later this hour on The Hurducky Big Show,
got an update on my pigeon Fellers I had another race.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
So you have met that it's your so now it's yours.
Now we're squared away. Unbelieva, we're squared away. It's your pigeon.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
But Pugs it's right because he's paid one hundred bucks
to wed yours. But I had another race over the weekend.
Fellers'll give you an update on There also another chance
to get free tickets, free accommodation, free flights as well
down to Wellington for Beer Varn at the Beer Festival.
Listen out for the cutter call. It's going to be
happening at some stage soon. Get rid of one hundred Hodarky.

(25:48):
In the meantime, Food Fighters.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
The Hiking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Key tune
in week days a four on Radio.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Hodache Supergrass on The Hiducky Big Show forteen minutes past
five this Monday afternoon with Keezy and pugsn and Fellers.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I've got an update on the Big Show. Pigeon gec
On Wings and looking O for his Beak's Big God.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
I hate their name so much about this heap the
sting rules. It's funny because people that don't listen to
the show go, oh, you've got a pigeon.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
What's its name?

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah, and then I have to go, oh, it's it's
it's an in joke on the show that oh cool,
but what's its name? And then you're oh, keezy on
all wings looking over its beak with me keysy, and
they're like oh.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
And they have a rapturous round of a floor.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
They no.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Twice now they've been like that's a bad name. Yeah,
it's a bad name for a bad pigeon. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
It had two races fellers At raced over the weekend.
Of course.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
It's first race couple of weeks ago was one hundred
and fifty kilometers ash Burton to its home in Uamadu,
one hundred and fifty k's one hundred and fifteen birds.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
It came ninety third was it ninety third in the end?
Was it okay? Yeah? Yeah, ninety third, which is obviously
back of the power. They're not good.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Over the weekend had another racist time, christ Church to
two hundred and twenty k.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
So it's further. This time it came seventy third.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Seventy third? Yeah. See this is the thing. PAGs is
going to get your hopes up out of a field
of how many same amount huning for fine that died. No,
I don't think you assume. No, do we get a time?
How long? What I would like to know is how
long it took the winning bird? Yeah, and time how

(27:32):
long it took for Keyzy on all wings? Looking over
his beat with me, Kezy.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
I'll ask I'll ask that for the next round, because
if it's like twenty seconds, that changes things. Yeah, I
have a feeling it isn't. Because and the worrying thing
is the race happens on the Saturday and they don't
give you the results until Sunday night. Yeah, So that
could either be because it takes a lot to sort
of tabulate the results or because they're still waiting for old.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
Kezy to get home. That's right.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
But what really annoys me is early doors. Do you
remember I came on and I said we've got bird
one oh nine.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Oh yes, I do, yeah, And then I.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Asked for a photo of the bird and pigeon. Tim
sent me a photo of a pigeon that clearly had
a little tag on its leg that said one oh seven,
and his caption was ain't she abut.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Pigeon one oh three? Yeah? And so it was super good.
I had no idea which pigeon I own.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yes, it turns out the pigeon I own is one
O three, right, and pigeon one O nine, the one
I thought I owned, finished in the top ten.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Yeah ah yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Yeah that's painful, man.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
So it feels like there's some sort of pigeon conspiracy.
You need to talk to the stewards. You need to
talk to the stewards because there'll be stewards that sort
of oversee each race, make sure everything's been done according
to the book. So you might have to file a protest. Yeah,
I don't see why you wouldn't file a protest.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
I don't know, because it seems like a bit full
on for the I'm going to Pigeon Racing Club.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
To deal with. Yeah, I mean I would like to
know where it all went wrong. Yeah right, Well you
see what I'm saying, Who are own one O nine
as a pigeon tin? Well, I know it's called Whiskey Wings,
which is a way better name. I prefer it Whiskey Wings.
It doesn't even make sense.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Yeah, Whiskey Wings doesn't make sense. Yeah, because you could
get the lawyers involved, and.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
So I don't think you need to bring in the
lawyers just yet, but you certainly want to have them,
you know, to threaten them, say they're hovering in the background.
Yeah right, okay, you know what I mean. But it
was weird, don't you because it was one oh nine. Yeah,
the photo came in one o seven, ain't she abute?
One oh three? What is going on? And then by
the way, one o three is finishing back of the
pack every time? Yeah, we need an inquiry. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
I am starting to think though, do we cut our
losses at some point and just go like unless it's
like if it starts creeping up, because there's still six
more races.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
You know that it's.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Gone up twenty places in one race. I'm I'm thrilled,
you're confident.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
I'm excited our losses, my losses, thank you and mine.
I will give you an update on the next race, Fellas,
it's in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Yeah, boy, Allison Chains get it.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
And yet the Hdichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and
Kyzy tune in four on.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Radio Lucky you can't get me. Buddy of Beer is
a big show. Beavana support brew crew content having a
beer h pretty good. Prize Magie Flights commodation, you take me,

of the crew whatever that entails, mostly just having a
few beers really yeah, hanging out and enjoying a great weekend.
Free flights accommodation as well. Let's go to the lines there. Gooday, Sam,
how are you going?

Speaker 3 (30:57):

Speaker 6 (30:58):

Speaker 3 (31:08):

there well Wellington.

the drawer. Good stuff.

Speaker 1 (31:46):

your right. Yeah, Sam, it seems like good value.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Good Andrew, here you go, man, I'm good Katie.

Speaker 6 (31:55):
How you make?

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Not too bad? Hey what do you do for a
crust man police officer? Drugs keezy? Andrew? Are you a
valuable member of a team?

Speaker 7 (32:11):
Man?

Speaker 6 (32:13):
I certainly can be made. If it involves craft beer,
then I'll be there.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Yeah, okay, because you know, as part of the brew crew,
you're going to have to, as I say, just drink beers.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
Really, Andrew?

Speaker 1 (32:22):
If you qualified, Yeah, you're qualified? If you if you
won this prize, mate, who would you bring with you?

Speaker 3 (32:28):
I'm going to make Nol who's a bit partial to
far too much craft beer. So probably Nol. I like
the sound of him. Sounds like a backbone. No, you
don't hear the word nol too often, do you? Andrew
Willy Willy caught that name from Oh it's a nickname
is extra names. Aaron but I don't know where the
nooel came from.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
I've just always caught him it.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Aaron, your new name is nol I like it. Andrew,
you seem like a mad bastard. You're in the drawer
as well. All right mate? Awesome, Thanks guys, you're on
your mind.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
There will get your sworded another chance to get yourself
in the drawer for this trip once again. It is
happening Friday, the twenty first set out of the twenty

(33:14):
enjoy the craft beer festivit.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
He's after being It's going to be a monster coming
up next.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Old Pug sounds going to hit us with his three
Goat selections.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
The Daching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
in week days at four on Radio Hodaki.

Speaker 1 (33:31):

eight three will hit you with a link. You can
also head to Hodaki dot co dot inzid and vote there.
How it works though, as you get to lock in

(33:52):
three song nominations and those you know, the votes will
correspond and hopefully bump your favorite tunes up the list. Moggi,
last week we did your three Goat nominations, which were.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
We did Prodigy, omen Breed from the Vana and green
Onions from Booking. That's right, thank you for putting me
on the spot with that.

Speaker 6 (34:14):
That was good.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
That was a hard reach. Mine was angle bit of
humpered ink Kwanto.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
I can't remember what the other two were to be
our hero's David Bowie, yes, all timer and the third one.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Was something else and then had a few as well,
and had a few shiitter is there.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
But the exciting thing is that Pugs has got the
best taste of music out of all of us.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Pugs and you've got your three nominations.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
First of all Cross. That's very kind of you to say,
and a massive setup to disappoint everybody in the on
the line there.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
But what do you think in keys before we get
ourselves through this a.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Few predictions you put out a few predictions before we
got on air.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
I think that Pugs has got a very interesting taste
of music. He often says that things when he's had
a few like oh, this album is one of the
greatest alums ever made, and it's an artist I've never
heard of, And then you listen to it and it's
a kind of music I've never heard of.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
Well, it's after three songs combined into one. There's multiple
beats going on.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
My brain can't compute. There's no metronomeen sight for anybody listening.
Mogi's referring to when I played Geese. Chris is referring
to when I played MF Doom, Like.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Yeah, it just doesn't know. There's a lot of it.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Came over to my places that I was living alone,
and I put it. I was like, this is one
of the greatest albums ever. Man, have you heard it's
one of the worst things of your.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Yeah, great, Well you need that kind of honesty. But
you are a lover of music, Paks, and I like
that about you.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
I do love my music.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Music is it just sounds. We're going to find favorite sounds,
you guys, just sounds of all time.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
You guys are going to be blown away by these,
because two of them we've already heard from you guys.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
I was gonna say one will be I know what
one is.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
You know what one is?

Speaker 3 (35:39):
One?

Speaker 4 (35:39):
No, I'll go three to one, three to one one, Okay.
So the first one is from one I heard it
in one of my favorite films ever actually, which is
a film called About Time as a romance movie. The
common theme here is yearning and romance, evidently. But this
song is Nick cave into my arm to direct you,

(36:01):
same as Yeah into I don't feel the need to
get into a spiel as much as you got as
much as you guys covered it the other day. You
covered him really well, history in his life. But Yeah,
just a beautiful tune, and Yeah speaks to all the

(36:22):
lovers out there, doesn't feelers now. The number two on
my list is the one that is not shared with
anybody here, and this is from one of my favorite
albums of all time, and that is Jeff Buckley's lover
you should have come over all my wrenches. So song

(36:45):
against her.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
I'm gonna heard that song the album. I've heard one
or two. I've heard Hallelujah. Treat yourself to the album. Man, great,
great ninety four.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Tragic story obviously with Jeff Buckley, he drowned in a river.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I believe it was the Mississippi.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Was that, yeah it was, and yeah he was fully closed.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
So just quickly on Jeff Buckley. Because I'm not super
up to date. Ben Hurley once admitted that one of
his favorite albums on vinyl was Jeff Buckley, and then
we roasted him for Age. Really really, so I'm not
like I say, because I'm not a big listener.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
But that's the main reason you wrote someone you like
that before in my life, my ignorance means I'm going
to pay you out. We did that. If you're any
kind of mate, you do that. We did that, and
for for Ages it was a running thing. Old Ben's
listened to Jeff Buckley. You know, I'm starting to figure
out that he was actually pretty good.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
You should give it at home. Man, It's not super polished,
like his voice was never that. No one for being perfect.
Just the passion that he put in unbelievable. And there
is some hard tunes on there as well. I think
Eternal Grace is one of them. Yeah, it's a great tune,
maybe the greatest yearning song of all time.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
What's up with you? And un normally does it?

Speaker 8 (38:04):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (38:06):
What's the difference between yearning and just being really desperate?

Speaker 4 (38:10):
I don't know, just a question. Number one on my
goat list. You've heard it, it's one of yours. It
is David Bow's heroes.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Just for one day.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
I think part of the reason I love this one
so much is I hate to research it. You remember
a while ago you got asked to come up with
a roadie playlist when I was going on a summer
road and I did a bit of research on the
churn and just the way it was made in the
story and the meaning behind it, about the two lovers
and Berlin at the wall there, and it.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Reminds me of yearning, a lot of yearning. Honestly, Pope's
better than I was expecting from you.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
Thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
I did try to put a hood Aku lens on it. Obviously,
I wasn't gonna slip an him in there.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Thanks man.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Yeah, that's the greatest thing. Preciate three four eight three
text the word goat. Lock your three votes and we
rip it on Monday. In the meantime, faith no more.
On the Huducky Big Show.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
The Hurdarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune
in weekdays at four on Radio Hold act.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Let's right, it is the Hudarcky Big Show for Monday,
the tenth of August. Three minutes past Sex, Keezy, Mogi
and Pagsan Houghty Jays on holiday back on Monday, Mogi,
You're off tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
Then the full show is all back and the Goat
gets underwag Monday.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
So it does a big day on of course, the
Big Show brought to you by Reburger.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Yeah y serving good times and good food. Dine in
or take away Reburger today. The name's Burger, say three.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Big good stuff. That's good.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
I had Reeburger over the weekend. Did you where'd you
go with Sunday lunchtime? Hung see it like it was
eleven am two. I think it was like eleven am
and so I was definitely the first person to be
eating at the store. I just met with it and
it sounds like I'm making it up. But regent Rid,
which is delicious.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
Chi that's my favorite too.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Once I find what it is, I just get that
some chips and it's my hangover cure.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
Now.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Yeah, I need the I need a Coca cola a bit.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Yeah, Cox there, We've got loads of the cans in
our fridge at home. What's actually, Pugs? You always run
an interesting dinner? Sit up, man, what are you having tonight?

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (40:20):
So surried tofu uh not dissimilar. My partner found a
recipe online and she's been telling me a little bit
about it. And as she goes, oh, the risbe is
called if me lntls. Oh yeah, if you et cetera
me lntels. And I'm like, oh, I've seen those before,
these like trendy recipes and they call them that.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
Yeah, I'm like, that's.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
A pretty crazy, like that's at out the gate name
for Risbees. So she's been getting all the supplies for
that over the weekend and then today she sent me
a photo and I was like, it's she called marry
me lntels, not if mels marry me.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
People have different priorities at different stages of the different stroke.
It's all good Derick and she is putting out those
vibes like do you reckon? It's like a feeler chick.
Where'd you finish that? Scenen'sy that's putting out the vibes
well for marry me? The other one, Oh, marry me.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
It's pretty decisive. Their pugs just that was a big
new have. I had a delicious Panier carry last night. God,
it was good.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
I love it was so good. You haven't had one
of those for a while. Delicious. That's the one your
wife as It's called divorce me Ponier. That's right, it's
called separate bedrooms Panier Yum. Do you like pearl jam pugs?

Speaker 4 (41:34):
Yeah, it could be keen Jam of the pearl.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
What about the strokes that's up next as well. Man
got it all here for your own Haidarchy.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
The hdarchy big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Tune in on.

Speaker 1 (41:48):

the meantime, it's got about some advice fellas.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
Six so you create a last new memory for people feelers.
There a little sting.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Butcher it pugs. We need more emails, don't we meet
pattinips sixty nine at gmail dot com.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
We do.
