a bee, absolutely frothing about the weekend fellas. Huge amount
of sport coming up. I gonna be sinking of my
fierce share of the old Bruskie as if you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Keysy, now your responsibly, where are you up to with that?
By the way, I'm on the wagon. I just I
might stop vaping too.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
Actually, oh my god, I don't even don't even stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
How are you going keysy? Because you said when you
came in today you're feeling a bit weary on it.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
How are you.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Bringing to have picked up quite a lot? Man? You're
a little bit down in the mouth.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
I think down in the mouth. Yeah, I think.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Your mouth was it down on the corners, down in
the mouth, face not frowning.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
So one half was down yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Sort of a little bit wonky. You're coming here with
your sluid speech. I start thinking Kez is either pastor
who has had another stroke?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Neither unfortunately unfortunately my face. Yeah, So what's happened is
I came in and said, man, I'm tired this morning,
and then instantly Hoidy Jane Olgi they've just gone to
town on the podcast outro, and it appears to still
be carrying on.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
Yeah, because part of my face is drooping. Apparently, what
a great way to wake up. Last day is the
last day of doing breakfast.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I'll tell you what, I've genuinely enjoyed it. I haven't
enjoyed the four o'clock wake up, but I like my
sort of morning walk now in town at that time
of the day, the rats scurrying all over the place. Yeah,
seeing the fella's droopy faces when I walk in. Good stuff.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
I guess.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
The sad thing about it, particularly for the listeners, is
next week Matt and Jerry are back.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Jerry, that's him. It's pretty good, Jerry. I think you
were announcing that here. Yeah, Maniah and Jerry. Of course.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
It looks like when I was having a lovely time
in sid Yeah, but wouldn't it be lovely for for
the audience out there just to send us your textas support,
tell us how much you've enjoyed having us this week
or not the opposite if you like.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
It's generally been the opposite.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yeah, criticize us, send us out with our tail between
our leagues so we never come back.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
I did because I'm on the same group chat as
Maniah and Die Henwood Rugby League chitty chat Chat, and
I was just like, come wing for you to come back.
It's been four hours of the big show talking about
Keesy's button, mushroom and hot pots, and I was like,
it's not incorrect.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, it's good stuff. I tell you what is good stuff.
Let's get into it Shaw, we a bit of music.
How about some smashing Pumpkins feelings?
Speaker 7 (04:04):
Yes, please for the whole Archy Big Show weekdays from
four on Radio Darkey Smashing Pumpkins.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
There on the Big Show Breakfast this Friday morning. The
time is ten minutes past six o'clock and the texts
are pouring in on three four eight three. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Man, for some reason we ask people to say how
we've been going on breakfast? Yeah, just so we can
sort of well, that's right.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
It's sort of a nice way to round off our
stint here on mornings, replacing Maniah and Jerry while they
were swimming about all around the world.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
And dear just you know, how do you think we've
been going? Three four eight three? Totally let us know
you guys have been horrible.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Was that a text?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Was it?
Speaker 8 (04:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:44):
All right, I think that might be for Mania and Jerry.
It's just getting in early. Ah yeah, yeah, probably.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, to be honest, pretty intense in the morning.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Is that another text? Is it? We're pretty intense? Jason?
Speaker 5 (05:00):
These are all ticks, all right?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Okay, okay, what did you think you suck? So there's
you suck? Yeah, that's not a text. That's just from me.
Did someone say we were a bit intense in the morning, Yeah,
like just too much of a good thing too.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
Really, it was quite intense, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Just like we're just bubbling with enthusiasm. Is that what
they mean?
Speaker 5 (05:22):
No, it's just like just like wars full on.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
This one here is bring back lamb Chop and pork Chop.
I don't know what that is? Is that the names?
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Is it potentially lamb Chop and pork Chop in the mornings?
Speaker 5 (05:35):
It's quite a good name. Actually, Uh yeah, you guys
are ship house.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Okay, there must be a few sort of good ones
in there. There's one here.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Cheer up, Keyzy. If your face is on the personal
match your ears?
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Hey, guys, who's that from? That guy? Gets it? Since
it's our final breakfast show, are we going to do
a final what's for brick first? With Keysy? I think
we should. Well.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Look, it's mixed messaging, isn't it. It's tough because we've
gotten other ones coming here, you fellows, get me hard.
We don't like that kind of filter early in the morning,
and it's probably, to be honest with you, it's probably
the bee nearly in the morning that's got new hard,
it's got nothing to do with us.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
And also I think that might be what it might
be the listener's fault and the text that come in
as why we're so intense reading out text like that.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
You know, Yeah, well, I mean I come in hard.
I mean in the show, you don't go out and
I go out.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
You don't have to finish it.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Ah, yeah, I'm not going to finish that one.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Good leave, great leave. There's still one final what is
on the Breakfast? Because I do love knowing what the
backbones are having for Brickie out there. We've got prizes
to give aways.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Can I just ask on that front? Who does that
little tap away container of what looks like musly? Is
that you?
Speaker 9 (06:53):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
MOI? It's not mine, mate.
Speaker 5 (06:57):

on Radio hod ich Us.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Indeed the food Fighters there on the Big Show breakfast
this Friday morning. The time is thirty eight minutes past
six o'clock and now it's time for Trade of the day.
It was you got the sting man. Oh there is
so Over the last couple of days we've been running
Trade of the Day where you on three four eight
three text us what trade you want us to focus
(13:37):
on specifically.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Yeah, we've had a good run, and god, the reception
for it has been absolutely messive. Yesterday we did plumbers
and I think on the first day we did Electriciansaki.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Yeah, So just confirming, are we doing trade of the
day now? Are we asking for texts?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
No, we're asking for text Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
So we want people to text in on three four
eight three and not dominate your trading of the day.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
And it could be anything.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
I think people get sort of bound by the idea
that a trading is someone that builds a house.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yes, but that's not true.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
It could be somebody that takes down house or Charlie Gubb,
for example, who provides portaloos. You could be an accountant.
You could be somebody that makes coffees. You can be
very well, I call it a coffee maker. Oh right, okay,
what you call it? It could be any number of things,
So don't beaper. Thank you for another good example, jas,
(14:30):
Thanks man.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
We've already got some stuff coming through guys, wheel track rollers, operators.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Wow, okay, that's not a trade. Okay, I mean the
one suggestion we've had so far and it's not even
a trade.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
I mean, hell, you can't say that makes its ridiculous trade.
It is joinery. Joinery is a trade. Yeah, digger operators,
digger operator, that's a trade.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I'm not really happy with it. But yes, now you're talking, so.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
What strip is a trade? What like driving a digger?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Isn't pugs is giving me one of those looks like,
don't answer that.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
No, he's a lift installer. Oh yeah, radio DJ Is
that what it is? Is it called a lyft installer?
It doesn't seem right. What do you what would you?
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Oh, look, I'd have to think about it, but I'm
just saying it doesn't feel fancy enough for the job
that they're done.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
Kitchen installer. We've got ai technician.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Okay, we'll keep them coming on three for eight three.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Just as another example case this one here three for
eight three, newspaper deliverer.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
It's like there's a trade a little kid doing a
paper out.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Now.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
The thing about that is, now things are so bad
out there the adults have taken that job.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Oh my god. Yeah's true.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Drain layer. Sure, a laminator like a laminator A laminate installer, Ah,
a laminator, it's his lamina installer. Hands and knees, backbone, shoplifting,
panel beater.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Noble trade. Actually I need a panel beater. If anyone
knows of a good.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
One fencer, patern fencer, a fencer like the sport, Yeah
with the swords in that.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Right, Yeah, that's a sport. It's not a trade.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
What about someone who builds fencers?
Speaker 2 (16:35):
What's the name for that? Hasn't got a name?
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Yeah, fence technical keeps his coming.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
Three four eight three The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from
four on Radio hod Is.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Indeed Metallica there on the Big Show Breakfast this Friday morning.
The time is six point fifty one. But right now
it's time for Trade of the Day with the Big Show.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Fields only exciting stuff, isn't it today, Fellers. I mean
we've had all sorts coming over the text machine.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Keizy, you got a couple of your brothers.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
Someone's just texting going, hey, Fellers, what is Trade of
the Day all about?
Speaker 4 (17:12):
Well, it's a great question. It's where we just try.
It's where we just try and give the kudos that
these different trades deserve.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Totally.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
By the time it's trades or trade e's that are
under the spotlight, they don't get the recognition. We're here
at the Big Show, we want to celebrate them.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Well, we honestly believe they are the backbone of the country.
You know what I mean. Without your trade, ees, it
all falls apart. That's true. What I French wouldn't work.
I wouldn't be able to see, I wouldn't have any
light in my house, that sort of stuff.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
You're plumbing.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
They wouldn't, yeah, be able to fix my pipes.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
So am I right in saying that if this particular
let's just say the trade of the day was a carpenter,
if a carpenter was on the way to work after
listening to this segment, they should feel very proud about
what they do.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Absolutely, your paff your chest out, and we just ask
everybody that once we announced the trading of the day,
we'll give you the cue. But everybody just stand and applaud, yeap,
just just for about a minute minute to five minutes,
you just applaud, just clapping, and everybody will know out
there on the streets that the Big Shows named another
trading of the day.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Yeah yeah, And you feel ten foot tall, don't you?
Speaker 4 (18:18):
What you do?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
It's your moment in the spotlight.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
Fellers today fellas our trading of the day is the
humble mechanic. Yeah, mechanic. Yeah, your engine, monkey, seatbelt jerkin.
You know, yeah, you find that they because of course
they do. The warrant of fitness is and that's a jesu.
It's a big responsibility, massively a huge responsibility. I mean,
(18:44):
my mechanic's good because you know, I've got the teeter.
It's a little bit iffy. You check them an extra
fifty bucks man you're passing in them.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
Oh wow, that seems a massive The old motor heads,
the clutch clown.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
The clutch clown, your tire blower, the old handbrake, sucker.
Speaker 8 (19:08):
Gearhead, the old six sniffer, automotive technician, sir starts a lot.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I mean, I'm swelling with pride just hearing all this.
You know what I'm saying. If I was a mechanic
right now, I'd be very proud.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
They've got those calendars and their officers, don't they. Ah,
the buzzies, I was going to say, with the cows
on them.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Yeah, what do you mean with the buzzies? What are
you talking about?
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Keezy ah tinkers, muffler, you're rentriangling.
Speaker 5 (20:01):
Triangler, That's what I was gonna.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
You missed loud.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Yeah mister what loub.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah right, will new mechanics out there? Be proud Today.
Speaker 7 (20:27):

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I've built some massive rewards on that. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Yeah, it's been good though, because I've been keeping it
a secret, but now everyone knows about it.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Yeah, yeah, it's good stuff. I mean, yeah, I'm going
to Bunnings tomorrow with my wife. Got a bit of
stuff we need to sort out around the unit. You're like, what,
pardon what are you getting? You got to clean your toilet,
don't you? Yeah, filthy Bunings for that. Yes, And this
is the thing about Bunnings that I've found, doesn't matter
what you need, they'll have it. What if I need
(21:17):
to buy some fruit, yep, yep, They've got fruit little
stall there at the front of the inex of the Saucys.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
They have a fruit stall of butning.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I've never seen you eat fruit in You're Life, Kisi,
So that's just the lie. But is that just an example?
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Was it?
Speaker 5 (21:29):
I just don't ed it around you, jas, because you'll
turn it into content which will then turn into a
social video. Oh Keyesy is eating a bananas.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Not that you're eating the banana, it's the way you
eat it. Yeah, how's a banner? Speaking of what, we've
had a few texts in on three four eight three.
What's Keysy having for breakfast himself? No, we haven't, and
I can tell you. I can tell you that he's
broad in a little container of newsley there. I'm disappointed
(21:58):
to see it's not cavern and yogurt or has some
sort of stewed fruit on it. Keezy, Yeah, it's some
kind of thickened liquid.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
I misses my wife. I'm missing machia pudding that she's
been making, which is cheer seeds, coconut milk, I believe,
but Greek yogurt, some stewed strawberry ju strawberry there. Yeah, nice,
we're today. There was none of that because we're out
of coconut milk. So it's just I think Mother Earth.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Was going to say, it looks like it's out of it.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
It's out of a packet.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Oh that's just what.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Well, it's just cereal.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Hey. Incidentally, the third one day West Indies versus the
black Caps is on at the moment. The West Indies
thirty three without loss in the eighth over.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
And strangely for the very first time, saw somebody stretch
it off the field. One of the opening betters has
done himself a mischief. Yes, stretched off the field.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
Hey, fell as, keep an her up for that cue
to call. If you hear it one hundred hodak, you
can beIN Turning fifty bucks Beautiful.
Speaker 7 (22:56):
The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keezy.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Tune in days.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Four on Radio Bus. He's there on the Big Show
Breakfast this Friday morning. The time is ten minutes past
seven o'clock. It's time for the Big Show, Big Pole,
Big Pole. This is basically where the Fellows get your
(23:20):
opinion on a particular topic. Yeah, there's a bit of
a sporting conundrum this weekend, and that is do you
watch the Wars or do you watch the All Blacks?
Speaker 5 (23:32):
And to add first, because they're both on Saturday night.
The All Blacks, I believe it's seven oh five. The
Wars about seven thirty. The other issue is they're both
happening in Auckland. Yeah, the ones' at Eton Park, ones
at Mount Smart. So if you wanted to go to
either of the games, you also have to make the
decision if you want to vote on the Hydracky Big
Show Big pole, we were we're trying to figure out
the split of the audience. Yes, the most scientific way
(23:54):
to do that is we're going to chuck a pole
up on the Hdrakuy Big Show Instagram story and we
will report back without findings.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Because the way you guys bang on about it, it
makes it sound like it's ninety percent was our audience.
But I don't believe that. I think there's some real
backbones out there that love the Union.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Well, that's right, and I think I mean the differences
I guess is you've got the Wahs. They're a regular
season team, it's a bigger competition. It's not a national side.
So I beck the Waars there. I don't watch the
Union like I used to, but I do watch I
absolutely watch the All Blacks. Yes, we love the Abs
there and down. And it is a conundrum, what do
you do because you know I've got a mate who
(24:33):
suggested that you do.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
He's going to come around.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
We watch two screens, so you have the All Blacks
on one screen, you have the Warriors on another screen.
I said, you're off your head. Yeah, you're ruining both things.
You don't get to enjoy either thing.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Well, exactly because you're flitting between the two of them
and you're not enjoying any of them.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
And what I reckon you do in that situation, mag
is you've got you record one of one or the
other side to watch the first. Take your phones, turn
them off, put them in a bucket of water. That
way that no one can tell you the score, you know,
and just you've now got four our blockbuster footy. Ssh.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Yeah, that's right. And I guess for me, I'm just
going to watch whatever's on earliest. So if the Warriors
started first, I watched the Warriors, and if the All
Blacks were on first, which they are in this case,
and I watched the All Blacks first, and then watch
the replay.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Later on of the war well, I'm definitely going All
Blacks and I be watching live and then I'll probably
catch the Wars on the Sunday because there's often the replay,
isn't there?
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Well, the weird thing about the way you live your
life is that you wait for a replay on Sky
Television when you can just watch it whenever you want.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
But you haven't quite wrapped your head around there. And
do I find it a rain? Of course?
Speaker 9 (25:38):
I do?
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Can I do that?
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Can I moogie? You can't spend your life trying to
fix all.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
I've learned that too many issues to fix there. Magi.
Speaker 5 (25:48):
Personally, I'm massive Wise fan. After working at Sky for
a long time, I kind of fell out of love
with Rugby Union as well. But the All Blacks, I'm
very excited about them again, especially with Dave for any
coach that last game was so excited. And I'm going
to the Wars game. I'm taking my parents. I'm genuinely
gutted that we're going to the Wars game because they're
taking on the bottom of the table Dragons, who we
(26:09):
should do a number on them.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
I hope yes.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
And the reason we're going to this game is because
I know my dad. It's his first ever Wars game
and I've been trying to convince him to say what
there was. He will give me so much stick if
the Wars lose, so I was like, okay, we have
to make sure they win. Hopefully let's go for the
Dragons game. But I genuinely want to watch the All
Blacks v. Island over it. It's going to be such
a good game.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Well it used to be back in the day, just
on Ireland. By the way that we're you know, you go, okay,
we're going to pants them, obviously, but they are a
bloody good side and have been for four or five
years now, so it's by no means, you know, I
just you know, you don't know what the outcome is
going to be, that's for sure. She's not a foregone conclusion.
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
Well put mogi, But yes, head to the Hoducky Big
Show Instagram story vote there on the Big Pole and
we'll be able to report back later on the show.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
And the black Caps just got their first work at there.
What a magnificent catch out the outfield their center. How good?
Thirty eight for one.
Speaker 7 (27:01):
Here's Pearl Jams The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four
on Radio.
Speaker 2 (27:06):

The Broncos have begun round twenty with a fiery fourteen
twelve away win over leaders Penrith. Fullback Reece Walsh registered
all three try assists for the visitors before kicking the
winning conversion. Wowroom golfer Kazuma Kabori is delighted with his
even par opening round, which sees him the best placed
key with the Open Championship Major, He's in a.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Tie for fortieth Woop Bonds Raining.
Speaker 10 (27:53):
Formula one world champion Lando Norris will serve a ten
place grid penalty at Monday's Belgian Grand Prix. The sanction
comes as a result of exceeding the permitted number of
engine parts. Still spliad, thank you for that?
Speaker 2 (28:08):
You done?
Speaker 4 (28:09):
I think?
Speaker 5 (28:09):
So you're done with the news anyway?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Could be okay, perfect reviving your relationship into the scene.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Take it away, broon, I'm looking forward to this.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Actually, actually it's seen about Flatneil Boodoir for.
Speaker 10 (28:30):
Well, did you know a new species of monkey has
been discovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo. And it
has striking orange lips.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
So what are you're saying.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
You're saying when your things are getting a bit down
in the bedroom, you just a picture that a bit
of just imagine the old monkey and the monkey. Yeah,
the orange lips work for you, Jason, You're a primly
that's your intimacy.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
That is the what was it called again? It was
reviving your relationship into the scene d Yeah, So just
a striking orange lippy. Will are you saying to wear
it as opposed to imagine the man that I should
wear it? Yes? Okay, then you can sort of swing
in and you know what I'm thinking about. Just so
(29:21):
I'm thinking about that monkey that Mogi seems.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
That was a while ago. That was a while. I'm
not bringing that back. I thank you so much, Britn.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
That was welcome, very insightful.
Speaker 5 (29:30):
That's a lot about you.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Good stuff, mate.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Here's Wheezer the Hdarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
Speaker 5 (29:36):
Tune in four on Radio.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Wheeze are there on the Big Show Breakfast this uh
Friday morning the West Indies sixty seven for one in
the seventeenth favor is it Mogi? It is mate? Yes,
Fellows you don't mind if Old Hoidy jays a little
bit volney with you this morning, do you.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
It's fine man. You know that you can be yourself
around us.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Yeah, that's what I figured. What's wrong and sometimes just
talking something out, you know, I can make it better. Yeah.
I'm just getting it out there because I think that
I have a problem. Yeah, you'll be aware. In the
last month, I've made a bit of a culinary discovery.
Speaker 5 (30:25):
Oh your hot pot.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah, my hot pot, which is a delicious soup and
you just choose all your ingredients and they cook it
up for you in a big hot pot and a
big hot part.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
And it's a particular restaurant. Yeah it is.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
It's right next to my house. And the super sensation
was so good, so spicy, so creamy, and I put
my meats massive. It's a bit of a surf and
turf actually that I go for one time years. Anyway,
I had my first one about a month ago and
I went, Wow, this is amazing and that was good.
(31:03):
And then about three or four days later, I said
to my wife, how do you fancy another hot pot, darling?
And she was like, oh yeah, okay, So we went
and had another hot pot, and it was equally as good.
It was just unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
I just all agree that the hot pot's great.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Hijas about what I actually had, the green pepper soup,
which was delicious. But here's my issue. Every day I
wake up now, the first sword of my mind is
hot pot. Yeah, what did it used to be? Siggy's um,
I don't want to tell you what it used to
be keasy, you'd be upset. And then when I go
(31:43):
to bed at night, my last thought of the day
is hot pot.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
What are you thinking about now?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
And a hot pot? And yesterday my wife had to
work for two or three hours and she popped out
and I was sitting on the couch there in the
trackies and then all of a sudden, just out of
the blue, hot pot. And I was like, I could
go and have a hot lunch hot pot. Because I've
only even had a dinner hot pot. A question coming.
I've said hot pot fifty times and it was just
(32:12):
pounding in my head. This is my point, hot potch
And I went, is it? Can? I? Can I have
a lunch hot pot? And so I went to the
hot pot. And it's now got embarrassing because the guy
that runs the join and he looks at me like,
oh here he is here. Here we go. Incidentally, just coincidentally,
(32:34):
my zipper broke. You said, I didn't realize I was
gaping when I walked in there, when you walked in
into the hot part. And I'm sitting there enjoying my
lunchtime hot pot Cay and this is getting out of hand. Fellers. Yeah,
this is my third hot pot in four days. I agree.
So what do you I mean, is it a problem?
Or I mean is that all? G is my question?
(32:58):
Are you happy with it? Man? Well? Yeah, but I
mean i'd be happy on you know, two dozen beers
a day too. But I mean that's that's not a
good thing.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
No, no, but hot pot's different. It's just yummy food
that makes you feel special. Nothing that's great.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
It doesn't make me feel special. Yes, so just I
don't feel so special the next morning so much, just
like drinking beers. Yeah, well that's true. But then I think, God,
I'll tell you what would fix this? The Hot.
Speaker 7 (33:29):
The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hod Ich.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Is indeed news zir on the Big Show Breakfast this
Friday morning. The time is seven forty eight. But right
now it's time for five.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Six, seven, eight men men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Men, men, menmen and men. Well inough.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
That, I'll tell you do that. What's one and a
half Mogi's mogi?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
Well, one and a half Mogi's mogi is when year
I talk about some adventures that has happened at home
with my daughter, Moggie Minogi. That's your real name. That's
a real name, Maggi Manogi. Seven, she's seven, she's just
two and seven.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Yesterday, Well, we've got an electric vehicle. Normally we would
charge the electric vehicle where my wife's at work, but
she's been fired.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Because she's a shock and burst.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Yeah, and also at our house we don't have a driveway,
so we can't plug an overnight, so when my wife's
not working it there's a massive ball ach having an
electric vehicle.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Can I say that? Yes?
Speaker 4 (34:39):
So the other day there and I don't drive that vehicle.
I drive a Nissan Tita two thousand and four, beautiful
little machine that has just had a new engine put
in at the flas So I take it down to
the local servo and charge it up. So I'm down
there yesterday and I'm charging it up and it's not working.
You start charging and then automatically it says charging. You
go great, and then one minute, not even that twenty
(35:02):
seconds later, it goes finished charging.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
So what's going on there?
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Push all the buttons again through your app, scan the
QR code, my credit card, all of that go again,
started stopped say doing anything? Oh without word of like
four or five times of doing that. Then I think, oh,
(35:27):
just swap my credit card out, or maybe it's something
to do with the credit card. Swap the credit card,
go through all the business of uploading a new one
to leaving that one. In the end, it doesn't work.
So I just I wring my wife. And I've got
to be careful now because I'm not in a great mood.
So I've got to pretend like this doesn't bother me
at all, which it does.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Hey, how are you hi, honey?
Speaker 2 (35:47):
It's my old movie.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Hey, just wondering. Have you ever had any issues with
when you're trying to change the car and it starts charging,
but it just immediately stops for no reason. No, I've
never had that before. Oh really, I thought it happened
once before, and dope board, did it happen there? No, No,
that was for something else.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
Oh well, all good. I guess I'll just drive twenty
minutes somewhere else and charge.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
It up there.
Speaker 5 (36:10):
Sweet as okay, boy.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Rogan absolutely raging, So go and charge it up somewhere else.
Go home and walks through the door, and my daughter
says to my wife, Dad owes me ten bucks. And
it's because I've got a thing with her where if
I'm swearing every time I swear, she charges me a dollar.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
So I dropped ten f bombs.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
I love that she had a reference to it at
all until you got her.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Yeah, she waited to spring it on.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
What she's worked out is if she charges me a
dollar every time I swear, checks my behavior. Yeah, so
she thinks I's in one of his blind rages. We'll
just let him go for it.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
Yeah, she just invoices you at the end of the day.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
That is brilliant.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
That is really good.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
She's making a mint off me.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
But what I've done now is because it's getting out
of control, like I've I've had to pay her one
hundred and it hasn't changed my behavior at all. It's
just costing me money while I because I tell you,
if I don't swear, I'm going to end up with
some kind of a tumor or a heartache. It's the
only way I convince yes. And so what I've started
doing is I'd now charge her a dollar every time
she goes.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Oh dad or oh you know yes.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
So I literally cannot say a word with how to
go oh dead. Look, I'm the biggest ediot on the
face of the planet. So yesterday I came out four
dollars ahead, No good.
Speaker 7 (37:34):
The whole Achy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy

this week.
Speaker 5 (38:47):

to work today.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
You listened to it before, have you?
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Yeah? I have many times.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
It's a tune Fellas. This morning I woke up and
I thought, you know, it's a good song. Woke up
this morning, sir. That is the theme to the Sopranos.
(39:40):
Of course, love the start of that song and it rules.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Just on that.

to the Sopranos. It's a movie. I'll talk about that
and what's on the TV later on Saints of.
Speaker 5 (39:53):

that Vinyl.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Get a hater your mad bar said, what are you
running with? Mate?
Speaker 7 (43:14):
I'm running for the Sopranos scene.
Speaker 5 (43:16):
Yeah, good taste.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Whatever. Get a Simon your massive backbone House Life. You're good? Yeah, mate,
what are you running with the Simon?
Speaker 9 (43:28):
I think I'm going to go with old monkey porn boy.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
Oh wow, easy, yeah Simon, legit man, you're the only
one that watches Monkey poorl No.
Speaker 5 (43:40):
I don't. There's such an old reference. Thank you for
bringing their back, Simon, much appreciate it. Hold the line.
Everyone Pugs is going to randomly choose a winner. In
the meantime, we get to enjoy the theme song to
the Sopranos.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
Are we're talking about this?
Speaker 4 (43:54):
Why?
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Yeah? I'm not happy? I am filthy Soon Alabama three.
Speaker 7 (44:03):
The Hurdarchy, Big Show weekdays from four on radio.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
Yes, indeed your Friday Throbber Alabama three Feels.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
Tune great text here on three four eight three for
long time listeners of the Big Show Old Kezy channeling
Tony soprano with that Tony jacket.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
That's true, that's true.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
I'm also another one here, Hell's Bells please, Yes, Mogi, Yes,
has to be an investigation Hell's Bells all day. Look,
it's all well and good text in and complain about
so if you have to get on the phone, you
have to call in. True, But there has been sadly
an issue with that particular round of the Throbber Jase,
do you think?
Speaker 5 (44:46):
Look, I know I don't want to get the details
because he has got a bone to pig.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
I can tell and you know, to have two bites
of the cherry if you will, thank you. I'm filthy
about it. For me, it's not even a question of what.
Speaker 5 (45:02):
He's talking about, what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
He Kesey actually played two separate clips of his song
as opposed to the one clip that we all had.
Speaker 4 (45:12):
That's right, which has given him an unfair advantage. You'd
have to say, I mean, there's many, many parts of
Hell's bells that I would like to play. And if
I knew, I could just Willy Nelly be getting Pugsun
to go and do that. Or if I had excess
to the controls like Kesey does, then I would do
it too. Yes, so Keysey has got two clips, whereas
you and I, Jason, just the one each. Yeah, So lookfortunate,
(45:37):
absolutely please do please here.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
To be honest, I didn't think Alabama three would win,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
I mean, it shouldn't have no, I mean, it's a joke.
Speaker 5 (45:46):
How are those sour grapes jays? So I didn't think
Alabama three would win. And I love that song and
I wanted to hear just that starting but in my headphone.
Speaker 4 (45:53):
Oh look, what you do in your own time is
entirely up to you. But here on the show, there's
certain rules around the throb and that is we get
one clipper each, correct, right, So what are you suggesting?
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Asterisk? A massive esterisk?
Speaker 5 (46:05):
Really you've been serious right now, Mogi. Unfortunately the asterisk system.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
But in this case, yes, I'm almost teamted too. On
top of that, to throw in a big.
Speaker 5 (46:15):
D you do not have the power, Jase, as the
guy who's had more asterisks than anyone on the planet.
You are not allowed probably got more asterisks than wins.
This is what I'm worried about, is this is a
this is a six out of ten come dine with
me situation Jason, which I scored Jason six out of
ten with this com dying with me thing we were doing.
And now I know you're going to slam whatever I do.
(46:35):
You're doing the same thing with the throbber jas. So
what the what you should do to improve your reputation
is say, actually, Mogi, I don't think it should be
an asterisk instead of.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
You should get another asterisk for trying to sway the judge.
Speaker 5 (46:50):
You have an asterisk. We is willy Billy here to
an asterisk.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
If we're not going to do an asterisk and a
big D, I think double asterisk.
Speaker 5 (47:00):
And for those people that don't even know what we're
talking about, we have a scoreboard, Yes, we keep score.
Let's have a look at the scoreboard now. Actually, so
currently out in front Mogi on eleven wins for the year,
and second place on ten wins and risk Keezy and
in third place on five wins with two asterisks and
(47:22):
a small d Hoity, j I'll accept my asterisk actually
because Jays I've got double the amount of winses Jaunt. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're all good totally man.
Speaker 2 (47:34):
Hey yeah what in eighteen for three by the way,
and the twenty ninth over weds an asterisk.
Speaker 7 (47:40):
Though the Hidarchy Big Show week days from four on
Radio Darchy.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Sports Rodcom.
Speaker 10 (47:53):
Time for your laatest sport headlines thanks to export Ultra
the beer for here.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Does someone want to do the cricket one twenty eight
for five? They just lost another wicket in the thirty first.
Speaker 10 (48:05):
Over Brook beautiful work mate. I said I was going
to be professional for this, didn't I?
Speaker 4 (48:14):
This is your worst one yet start off by having
Jase read the cricket far your phone's broken?
Speaker 10 (48:21):
Okay, I think I've sorted at Brisbane coach Michael Maguire's
confident has signed capable of making a late run for
a final spot after a shock fourteen twelve win over
competition leaders Penrith to open round twenty Broncos and now
up to thirteenth, six points outside the top eight.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Gum Hobbo.
Speaker 10 (48:42):
Kazuma Gabori's emerged as the leading New Zealander in a
tough opening round of Golf's Open Championship Major at Royal Birkdale.
He's tied for thirty ninth.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
Boog Butt fos.
Speaker 10 (48:54):
And Max Vistapan has confirmed Hill honor his Formula One
contract with Red Bull, hitching him to the team until
the end of twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
Were good stuff, use this news done? Yeah, it is okay.
And one final segment, of course.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
And here's three to five reasons why thinks The Big
Show should replace Jerry and Mania?
Speaker 9 (49:19):
Do I do?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I have three to five? You put it in the
chat mate and you make this thing, so I'm assuming
you do. Just three to five, just three to five.
Speaker 10 (49:30):
I think we should look at some of the statistics
of what you guys have brought to the show the
last how long have you been filling in?
Speaker 4 (49:36):
Now?
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Weekend feels like forever. It does feel like forever, especially this.
Speaker 10 (49:42):
So okay, I think listeners prefer more men at breakfast
more really Yeah, okay, that's.
Speaker 5 (49:49):
That's well, I mean Jerry and Mania and then no,
but there's four men in here right now, I say, yeah,
like a sausage feest.
Speaker 10 (49:58):
So that would be good obviously, because there is there
are three of you guys, you offer more more length,
more length?
Speaker 5 (50:05):
Yeah of break or what?
Speaker 4 (50:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (50:09):
Geez I think two probably two yeah, two for two reasons.
It's fine. Thank you so much, friend, rad Can it
say it's been an honor having you down here with us, mate.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Yeah, it's been a pleasure, mate, it has.
Speaker 5 (50:19):
Yep, you've been so good man. Would thank you?
Speaker 2 (50:23):
Thank you mate? What's that song? She had blot fows.
Speaker 7 (50:31):
The Hdarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio
hod Arches.
Speaker 2 (50:35):
Indeed she had there on the Big Show Breakfast this
Friday morning. The time is eight thirty nine the West
indis one twenty nine for six.
Speaker 5 (50:42):
If you would like a double pass to go and
see the Warriors taking on this George Llawara Dragons this Saturday,
seven thirty mounths smart give us a call now on
oh eight hundred ho ducky yeah man. And in the meantime,
it is time to chat. Time to chat footy with me, Kathy.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
What are the Warrior is up to? Stop it, dude,
what we were talking about the Warriors. It's fantastic, isn't
it that every home game is sold out? I mean,
just on that level, that's just genius. It is great
big fans.
Speaker 5 (51:20):
Not you though.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Oh look, I blea.
Speaker 5 (51:22):
I'd love to go to ticket.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
I tried to it, that's sold out. That's my point
what the.
Speaker 5 (51:31):
Warriors are taking on this George of the Wad Dragons
Saturday night, seven thirty pm at home at Mount Smart,
where they haven't been frequenting as much as I would
have liked. If you don't know, the Dragons are bottom
of the table mo they have won two games this season.
Speaker 4 (51:43):
They yeah, they're not great, although that said, they have
had a few close run games, especially in these last
five six weeks. So they've been losing, but they haven't
been getting absolutely pumped as they have been in pre
suddenly earlier in the season.
Speaker 5 (51:57):
That's right. They are fresh off a win against the Tiger,
which was two weeks ago. They've then had to buy
so they are feeling confident. They've had a rest, so
we can't just write these guys off as a foregone conclusion.
But the good news is we've got plenty of people
back on deck and our team is starting to resemble
that top grade team that we started with this season.
Good staff without maybe you're Jackson Ford's He'll be back
round twenty five is hopefully twenty six. But outside of that,
(52:21):
our starting team looks magnificent. We've got big names, experienced
players like Mitch Barnett, James Fisher, Harris Kok Capewell back
in the starting forward pat and that's the main one
for me. And then you've got those young, awesome feelers.
You're Tennistowers, Smith's your Dimitric Viimongers and your Lequhall of
Semas coming.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Off the bench.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
She You know, normally around the twenty minute mark, Jason,
you are pointing this out to me off here, you
do generally see a little bit of a dip when
you bring your bench on, but when you've got Stowers
Smith coming on and your rotation, there's not really much
of a drop off there. And as long as we're
getting those meters through the middle to sort of make
up for our shorter kicking game. Now that we've got
(52:57):
to mighty Martin in there and still of tenor Boyd,
you know, those halves are just going to roll on.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Brother, You're going to roll on. Do you like rolling on?
I certainly do. Mogi. I've got to say though, from
past history, these sort of games are the ones with
a slipper we're going to wipe and then you lose.
Speaker 4 (53:18):
But can I just point out there, I don't think
the saying has wiped their ass because nobody wants to
do that. Kick their ass one hundred percent, but nobody
wants to get into a game of footy and find
themselves wiping the oppositions.
Speaker 5 (53:30):
But yeah, I mean wow, But also that's that's been
a thing in the past. But this season, what other
banana skin team have we lost to?
Speaker 2 (53:38):
It's different, is it?
Speaker 5 (53:39):
What other banana skin team we lost? We lost to
the Tigers early, but that was because and they were
almost top of the table then. And yeah, so what
other times it happened the season? Jase, Jase, Jace, mister
mister big big man.
Speaker 2 (53:52):
And that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
And the other side of it is, you know, if
we lose these games, that we can forget about the
whole season. This is exactly the kind of game now
under you know, we be that we we we tell
these teams up. If we don't win by forty, I'll
be surprised. The other great news is at last night
the Panthers lost to the Broncos. If we win this
game tonight, we will then be sitting two points behind
(54:15):
the Panthers at the top of the table, and that
is a great position to be.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Awesome bloody great stuff. Well, let's go to the phone lines. Fellers,
good eight, Josh Man bastard Hell's life?
Speaker 4 (54:25):
Oh pretty good feelers?
Speaker 2 (54:27):
Yeah, mate, big plans for your Friday after work there, Josh.
Speaker 9 (54:33):
Ah probably working late in the old track down here, spreading.
Speaker 5 (54:36):
Some get on your Josh your backbone, mate, your your farmer,
are you? Ah?
Speaker 7 (54:42):
We just work for our company.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
Yeah, but also tell me, Josh, you obviously loved the
Wars mate. Yeah, well, good news for you. You've just
won yourself two tickets to tomorrow's game. How does that
sound y?
Speaker 5 (54:59):
Thank you now, mate, you hold the line and old
Pug start to look after you have a great weekend, Josh,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
Good on your mate, seemed like a nice fellow, he didn't, Hey.
Speaker 5 (55:11):
So really good score prediction Jason Ooh nice.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
Warriors thirteen plus. Wow. Yeah, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 5 (55:19):
I'm going to hope for that we'll get over fifty
in this game. Yeah, I want Warriors tenning plus as well. Yeah,
one hundred percent.
Speaker 7 (55:24):
Lock it in the Hurdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four
on Radio Hodiki.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
Red Chili Pepper's there on the Big Show Breakfast this
Friday morning. The time is eight fifty three. The Westerndies
currently one thirty eight per eight fellas.
Speaker 5 (55:40):
It's nearly all over, so good fellows. This weekend my
parents are in town Don and Non coming.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Up to visit.
Speaker 5 (55:46):
It's been a while actually they haven't been up to
Auckland for a week while because they've been overseas. Has
been busy and then mum's been sick with the flu
and all sorts of stuff. So yeah, nice to have
them up visiting. And I've got a pretty great little
itinery set for the few days are going to be here.
So this afternoon they're going to arrive at about four pm.
They're going to stop on the way for an e bike.
(56:08):
They're going to stop on the way for an e bike.
Well buy one to go for it, no to ride
them and they're getting on the ease. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Well they're coming to the Big Spoke. I smoked Mogi,
so yeah, the.
Speaker 5 (56:18):
Big Spoke on because that's a bike pun.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
Yeah, I know it's pretty good, the Big Spoke. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (56:24):
So they're going to stop for an ee bike on
the way up there and then they're gonna get to
my house about four in the afternoon. I said, well,
we can have a wine and a bit of a
cheeseboard and as for dead and then we can we'll
go out for dinner. I've booked a spot at quite
a fun restaurant in Auckland on Dominion Road.
Speaker 2 (56:39):
A fun restaurant. Yeah, someone. You know, when someone says
to me, I've popped us a really fun restaurant, I go, yeah, yeah,
I'm not here. I'm not here to have fun.
Speaker 5 (56:49):
I'm here to eat hot pot.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
I'm here to stuff from my face.
Speaker 5 (56:53):
Which we will be doing.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
But it is fun.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
And I like to go outside the square of my
parents because they're down in Totung in there and the
restaurant variety isn't as good as it is here and Awa,
which is great.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
They sort of are they intimidated by the big smoke
keasy did they get up and go building? That's a
huge building.
Speaker 5 (57:12):
They freak out when they see the sky tower.
Speaker 4 (57:14):
Yeah yeah, because I saw the last time that they
took a selfie with the skytower.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
And they went to Kelly Tartans yes, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
Yeah. My daughter got bitten by a cawaiet Kelly Town
quite viciously. Yeah. You got the little pool there, you
stuck your finger in it and just had to go
at it.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
Did they have a machine gun?
Speaker 2 (57:36):
No, it just latched on. I was like, there's not
so tell your pearance to keep their fingers out of
the pool.
Speaker 5 (57:43):
That's my around, fingering around the pools.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Yeah, look yeah, but so that's.
Speaker 5 (57:47):
Gonna be fun. That's tonight. And my wife's made a
delicious terror massou for dessert.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Who is my wife?
Speaker 5 (57:52):
Which is my dad's face?
Speaker 10 (57:52):
Mad?
Speaker 9 (57:53):
What?
Speaker 2 (57:54):
What kind? I don't know?
Speaker 5 (57:57):
A regular one?
Speaker 7 (57:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Good, near nice, delicious?
Speaker 5 (58:00):
Yeah, yeah it should be.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
Are they still all gee for coming over to mine
on Sunday morning?
Speaker 5 (58:07):
For what?
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Well?
Speaker 5 (58:09):
Hot pot?
Speaker 2 (58:10):
My wife's made a beautiful terramasou, and I thought it'd
be nice to have them over. I've already organized.
Speaker 5 (58:18):
So my wife's made terma sou for tonight and now
you're having it Sunday morning. Your wife's making term, so.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
She makes a mean, she makes a great term.
Speaker 4 (58:26):
Have your appearance. I don't think they've ever heard a
breakfast term of su. Yeah, Jason's wife.
Speaker 2 (58:31):

Speaker 5 (58:39):

And with that in mind, keeezy, Yeah, we've we've had
an office sweepstakes. It's called the Radiohodockey out of Office
Football sweep Steak for the World Cup. Of course, the

It's great stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:02:02):
But we'll be dropping off a whole lot of award
winning pies from Dad's Pies.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
How good. What a great way to spend your Friday. Hey,
now listen, let's talk TV. What's on the Telly with
Mike Minogue.
Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
Yeah, fellas, last night I started watching a new show
on Apple TV called Lucky. It's called Lucky and it
stars Anya Taylor Joy. It's a thriller. She is up
to all sorts of no good. It's a little bit
of fb I, a little bit of crime, a little
(01:02:40):
bit of trying to get away, start a new life, this,
that and the other. It's looked pretty style. I got
most of the way through the first episode. It looks great.
I'm a fan of hers as well, and I and
it's a series as well, so I haven't seen her
do anything like that since probably Queen's Gambit.
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
See how we go?
Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
Just want to give your heads up that it's yeah,
but it looks like it's had a fear few million
dollars sunk into it. Currently, I'm sitting at around three out.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Of five possible busies.
Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
Wow, that's okay after a good start, off to a
good enough start, Fellas.
Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Last night I watched a movie, The Many Saints of Newark,
which is basically the story of the Sopranos, but it's
it's before Tony. Yes, it's earlier than when the actual
Sopranos the show starts, right, so it's very much looking
forward to it. Hell of a cast on it as well,
but strangely disappointing. I got very frustra frustrated with it,
(01:03:36):
as did my wife.
Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
It's a story of Tony Soprano's mother, he has a
really big presence, and obviously the Sopranos itself, and also
his father and his uncle and sort of their life
of crime on the streets of Newark back in the day.
I agree with you, Jay, So I remember watching it
and thinking, oh, this is exciting. And if I remember correctly,
Michael Gandolfini, who was James Gandolfini's that's your son, he
(01:04:00):
plays the young Tony Soprano in this. Yeah, it was
a disappointment. Nowhere near as good as in my opinion,
is a series.
Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
I agree. Look, but you know, having said that, we
did watch it till the end, so I give it
a solid two and a half buzzies Keezy?
Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
Was it called again?
Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Ah? The Many Saints of Newark.
Speaker 5 (01:04:18):
Many Saints of Newark nice last night, fell As. I
didn't watch TV because I was back hosting Crowd Goes Wild. No,
Yes is the show I used to work for. Yeah,
that's right, it was really nice. I saw a lovely
photo of you on social media there, CAZy, it was
you back in the day. Jeez, you're a young fellow
when you were hosted at then twenty one, were twenty two,
just turned twenty two, and I was, due to sickness,
(01:04:38):
asked to host the show for the first time with
like an hour's notice with Mark Richardson.
Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
So that was me looking, well, you're freaking out, CAZy.
Speaker 5 (01:04:44):
Well, because it was such late notice, I was like, Okay,
I don't have time to freak out. I've got a
like research some sports news. Yeah, but then also I
remember being like, no one gives a shit about my
opinion on sports. I'm like twenty two. So it was
mostly just Mark and just sort of go Ahi, Mark,
what do you think about that? Said to say something
racist as hard? But yeah, it was nice to be
back thirteen years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
That was my first ever time crazy Mate.
Speaker 7 (01:05:07):
So Crazy Fellas the Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four
on Radio hode.
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Garbage there on the Big Show Breakfast this Friday morning, Fellers.
How we're feeling about, you know, going back to normal
practice next week. I mean, I'm a little concerned because
I've settled into this morning routine now and i know
for a fact that for the next week I'm going
to be waking up at exactly the same time, and
(01:05:35):
I'm wondering to myself, do I just roll with it now?
Is that the new thing for Hoidy j up it
for bed by seven?
Speaker 9 (01:05:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
Yeah? I mean I like the idea if I was
going to do anything, i'd probably get up and go
to the gym, since I haven't been doing that at all.
I like the early hours that I do find that
I probably am going to need a nap. Yes, absolutely,
I will if I'm expected to be coming in, which
I will be to do the Drive show. But all
in all, I have absolutely loved doing Breakfast. Yes, it's
been great. I'm a morning person. I prefer getting up early,
(01:06:06):
so do I.
Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
And there is something really nice for me about walking
here every morning and the city's empty, you know what
I mean, I get to it is really nice. Actually
got my tunes on there. I've been really enjoying it too.
Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
I am not a morning person. I feel like I'm
in the middle. You know. My wife would probably argue
with that. But I traditionally hate getting up super early
for this. I hate having to go to bed really early.
That's the one thing with breakfast. However, I've really enjoyed
it as well. And there's something about walking out of
these doors.
Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
It's me for the day, babe, Can I say, particularly
on a Friday. Fridays weirdly, so I don't feel the same.
So I've been able to walk out of here and
go and essentially have got a lot. Essentially you have
got a long weekend, yes, but I don't feel that
way when we don't start until later in the day
on a Monday.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
It doesn't feel the same at all. Yeah, it is weird,
but it was this week.
Speaker 5 (01:06:58):
It's great because we finish early on the Friday and
start late on the Monday. Four day weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
It's yeah, what it is almost you know, three day weekend. Really,
when you look at it, how good yeah, I know,
but it's not four.
Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
Yeah, silly, I was just cheap, being cheeky.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Yeah, don't be please or shall we just keep doing it?
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
Then the Breakfast Show, we'll just turn up on Monday
there and go oh well I thought we were doing
this week as well, but we're gonna have to get
hit earlier than them.
Speaker 5 (01:07:23):
Yeah it's easy because so they'll probably get here at
like five thirty. We'll have to get here like five
and be in here recording.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know. I'm liking the Cuddy
your Jim actually there fellows.
Speaker 5 (01:07:35):
Into that done deal.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
See at five o'clock in the morning on Monday, okay,
promise yeah, lock it?
Speaker 7 (01:07:40):
And then the Hdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on
Radio Hdarchy.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Well there you go, your there. But I said that
that's the Big show. Breakfast Done and Dust did this
Friday morning, and geez, Louise, what a week it's been. Hey,
what's the podcast outro clip today? Keezy?
Speaker 5 (01:08:03):
Thanks for asking, Jose. Today's podcast outro clip, which comes
out at ten thirty, is all about Chili's You You
Big Show. We get your podcasts from.
Speaker 2 (01:08:13):
What I was going to say, is it a generational
thing though, you know, because the generation didn't really didn't
really have chili, so it is on the plantation they didn't.
Speaker 5 (01:08:27):
I thought you guys were going to look after me.
Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
This actually just thinking Jason is absolutely making a meal
because showing him in the weakness.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
I don't how much that it was before you said
on time there was. That was pretty much a Jase
being a punisher special and that comes out at ten
thirty am today.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
You loved it as Yeah, man, that's good stuff, Mogi.
Big weekend for you, mate. He was a sporting action.
Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Lots of sporting action made or go home. I'm going
to watch the rest of the cricket. Had a little
bit of work to do. Got the wares tomorrow, got
the all blacks on, jeez, sport sport for choice, aren't
we feel sure?
Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
A kesy big weekend for you as well. Your folks
coming up. You're going to the Wars Live.
Speaker 5 (01:09:13):
You're going to see the Wars Live. Folks we here
this afternoon, so I think I will get a nap
in before they get here, and then I'll be switching
it on for the parents. Farmers' markets. We're gonna go
to a few open homes. Oh, because we're looking for
a new house a moment and we found because we
hit the in laws up recently and they loved just
having a nosey at homes with us. Yes, and so
I know that'll be a winner with the old parents there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Great. No, no, I'm done for that. I've had my
phil this week. I'm not doing it again, all right,
but just pretty much chilling out. Meeting some friends tomorrow
for coffee, then probably go, you know, just cruise around
the city, do a bit of shopping, watch the sport.
It's going to be great, noll Lis And it's been
an absolute pleasure bringing you breakfast. We've really enjoyed it.
(01:09:58):
I hope you've enjoyed it too. We'll be back though,
at our normal slot four to seven week days next
week until their new massive backbones. See you later.
