Speaker 3 (00:14):
Jason Height might nod and cheesy.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
I'll get a your man, bastards, great VR company of
this blustery Tuesday afternoon. It is the thirty first of
March twenty twenty six, and you, your mad bastards, are
listening to the Big Show brought to you by Toledos.
Speaker 2 (00:44):

right way with Toledos natural Elliteroli drinks with real ingredients
and natural colors as well, Toledos.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Now I need to start the show by saying, no
Mogi today, Keezy, No, the eye candy of the show,
the Stallion, the old gray Fox. He's off at some
fancy Pence film sort of opening again.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
What was it? The Hunt for the Wilder People.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Ten year anniversary? All the people that were in the movie,
including all the big shots like Tiger White tz I
believe Rita Aura as well, maybe there as well. But
Mogi's down there and celebrating the fact that's turn ten.
But I think we're going to hear from him later
in the show.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yeah, okay, we'll.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Get in touch with them.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Hopefully he's got a couple of interviews there with all
the big stars.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I think he was saying as he was on his
way there that he's keen to get a couple of
interviews so that we can play it on the show.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Good stuff, mate. Hey you're looking good man. You're wearing
one of your.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
Broom broom shits.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
I call them your brom brom shits with your little
cars on there.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah yeah, yeah, it's got a car on it doing
a burnout. I'm pretty pleased with it.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
Yeah, it's pretty good man.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
It looks good and adding my warrior's hat. And I
think the message I'm sitting out to people is I'm
just a normal guy.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Sure, it's an average dude. You know. I'm not showing
up to work with flash new haircuts, brand new crisp
button up shirts on like you hoardy J, brand new
boots which were like six hundred bucks. Yeah man, you
look good though.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Well.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
I like to set the standard.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
I just sort of feel you fellows have slept recently, right, particularly.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
You speak ill.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
He's not here you know, because you're running the trackie pants.
I've actually sort of argued with myself about that when
I've been at home. Do I do a keysy and
wear my filthy dirty track is to work? Or do
I try and make a bit of an effort and
be professional?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Do you think, seriously, do you think I wear these
track pants too much?
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (02:57):
And you could wash them every now and then. They've
got a few stains on that. I'm not happy, well,
genuine question.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I'm genuinely worried that I'm wear his pants too much. Actually,
so it's good to know.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Hey, new listen, we've got a big showy head. We've
got no Mowgi to take us through it. Actually, I
just realized, Oh, I know, what will we do?
Speaker 5 (03:13):
What's happening on the Big Show with old.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Easy good stuff Hoidy Jay, huge show head of course,
another chance to get yourself in the drawer from Magic
Round You and a mate coming over to Brizzee with
the Big Show team for three amazing nights of NRL awesomeness.
We're gonna do this. Listen now for that cue to call,
and get ready to call. Oh eight hundred Hodaki, how
good I have a massive first world problem. Yes, it
(03:36):
happened to me last night, and I think it might
be the biggest first world problem I've ever had.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Well, okay, yeah, I thought you were going to say
you had a massive nose problem, but then you seguayed
good stuff. I had a thing happened to me yesterday.
It was so shocking with my wife. Right, I've got
to talk about it next.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Right, shouldn't point out your massive nose? Did she? Also
comedian hits A Dawson on After five Let's all go.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
Let's all go, mate his gorillas.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarky.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
He is indeed Nirvana there on the Radio Hodarchy Big
Show this blustery Tuesday afternoon. The time is thirteen minutes
past four o'clock. No Moggi today, he's off too far
to hunt for the Wilder People ten years celebration?
Speaker 5 (04:21):
Is it in Wally?
Speaker 6 (04:22):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (04:22):
And I think it's up here in Auckland?
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Okay, Yes, to.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Be honest, I have no idea, but all the big
shots are there, all the famous actors, and we will
be hearing from him later in the show.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Keezy, something shocking happened to me yesterday and involved my
wife and my daughter.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Right, okay, I know what you.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Were about to press.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Well, I was about to fire off the sexy music
and you said your wife and your daughter. I was like, yeah, yeah, ok.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
We were coming back from Manga Fi and we were
traveling in the car there little aqua.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Three of you in a Toyota aqua.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
Yeah. Man, plenty of space to speak easy.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
You're doing so well.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You thank you, And as per usual, my wife said,
shall we listen to a podcast in the car?
Speaker 5 (05:08):
And I said to you, that's a good idea.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
We often do that on long trips.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
I find it better than music sometimes because it makes
me just distracts me from the long drive. Not that
Mangi fies a long drive anymore, New motorways chill.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
In any way.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Usually what we run with is your sort of true crime,
you know, your murder mystery sort of stuff. But my
daughter finds that kind of thing kind of upsetting, you know,
when people get murdered.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
And stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Kind of like your wife, she doesn't like getting murder.
She doesn't like, you know, sort of death and murder.
I mean, who does really apart from psychos.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
So you're right, if anything slightly scary. My wife is
not into it.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
I then my.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Wife said, oh, I know, I've got this podcast that's
really good, and I can't remember the name of it.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
She didn't say that I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
And the premise of the podcast is this is that
people call up an anonymous line, right, and they confess
to a secret that they've never told anyone right ever before.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
But it's anonymous.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
But it's anonymous, no one knows who you are, and
they tell their story about the secret. And I said, oh,
that sounds pretty good. That actually sounds like a pretty
good premise for a podcast. Actually, that sounds good.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Do it.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
We should steal that and do it.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
We're sure we can tell our own secrets, Keezy, Yeah,
yours would be shocking bastards.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Well, to be honest, most of might have been said
by you guys on here, So I don't think I've
got any left.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Yeah, you've got to stop telling us your secret.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, yeah, it's me.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah, And without a word of a lie, this is
the podcast.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
My daughter's sitting in the back seat.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
I don't think my wife's going to be very happy
that I bring this up on the radio. Anyway, it
was a nineteen twenty year old. She might have been
a bit older than she was, about twenty three to
twenty four.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
Women, right, and her opening lines for.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
This podcast where I think I was about nineteen or
twenty when I first became interested in ass play And
your wife put this on and my wife had put
it on, and there was this crystallized moment of silence
(07:33):
in the car, and then my daughter in the back
seat said, I'm sorry, did.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
She just say ass play? Yeah? And just for those
that are the weird, Jason, what is asked Finky.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Well, she then immediately got into what she was talking about, right, Okay.
One day I found I cannot I cannot repeat that
part because even for me it was fel free, right okay.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
And my wife's quite you know, she doesn't like that
kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
And we were like, oh my god, yeah okay, and
immediately shut it down and my whole car off.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
We just pulled average to the side of the road,
got out of the car and took some deep breaths.
But it was very funny, and my daughter didn't stop
laughing for about ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Well, this is a this is a massive issue that,
like a lot of people face, you know, like at
Christmas time. We're talking about this in the office earlier,
but like you will gather around with the family to
watch Love. Actually, yes, and there's the nude that sex scene.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah, yeah, they go full throttle.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Well I wouldn't say full thrill.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
They hammer away?
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Is that hammering away?
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (08:47):
I mean I've I've seen more vigorous keezy but yeah.
Well this is the other thing too, is we have
this weird thing with my when my daughter comes over
from Australia, we will watch a movie together and inevitably,
you know, some massive sex scene comes.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Onpens all the time, right, It's.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
It's humiliating for all of us. In fact, it's become
a running joke.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
I know.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's so you guys do this so often that it's
a running joke. Jays. I don't think these are coincidences.
I think you guys intentionally do this.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
But anyway, we were thinking, does that happen to other people?
Speaker 6 (09:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (09:22):
On three four three?
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Is anyone else out there accidentally putting themselves in weird
situations like that with your parents or with your kids
as well? Accidentally, to be honest, probably happens a lot
with people listening to the Big Show just then for example?
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Yeah, maybe just quickly though, what is ass.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Playing the whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on radio.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Hold Ikey, welcome.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Back, but Big Show, Madji Crown three big, Let's put
another man Bustard on the bench.
Speaker 4 (09:57):

Let's do a special treat three.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
We always do three here? All right, Okay, it is
special though? What is Magic Round? Someone just texting?
Speaker 5 (10:10):
Did they?
Speaker 2 (10:12):

games of NRL, all of them at sun Corpse Stadium.

PLoP them in the in the middle of Tasmania. Basically, yes,
in the bush and they've got to survive for as
many days as they can.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
They get to take ten items with them.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Okay, um, and that's it, right, And it's one of
those shows where you get to sort of meet all
the characters over time. You love some of them, you
hate some of them. Some of them you want to fail,
some of them you want to succeed. Yeah, but you
end up rooting for people.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Gonna be like that, Well, you're supporting them.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
This is no word of a lie. Most of them.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Most of the contestants after nineteen days have eaten no protein.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
There's a guy called Shave from New Zealand.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
He's a possum hunter and he hasn't managed to catch anything.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
He's not really a possum hunt.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
He is totally a possum hunter, right, Okay, has recorded
as five hundred and seventy five possums in one day.
And he's and he's a real bush dude, like he
knows his stuff in the bush. Since he's amazing trapped
and nothing. Still hasn't caught a damn thing. Wow, And
for nineteen days without a word of a lie. All
he's eaten is wombs and like vegetation, foul vegetation.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Right, okay, and that's happening to most of them.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
But you know, they're all sort of fishing and then
one of them will catch like an eel or a fish,
and they'll be so over the moon and you find
yourself cheering for them, going.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yeah, man, that's great.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
Now you're talking andy.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Are there any run ins with like snakes and stuff.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
No, there hasn't been any sort of One person who
was doing very well in this particular series, and she
was onto a big time catching trout all over the place,
had an amazing set up for her where she was living,
got a massive infection and had to be taken out.
Oh ta put her out of her miserably well, not
shot in the back paddock, but like flown out, flown out, yeah, yeah,
(20:38):
because she actually got a kidney. In fiction, they went, sorry,
but you can't stay. So three of them are less
so far, and.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
That's after twenty days. Wow, it's a good show. It's entertaining.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
How many busies out of five Oh, I'll give it
three and a half buzzies out of possible five. It's
called alone and it's on Tevans in Plus. Last night
my wife and I were fully geared up. Oh yeah,
we were ready. We're on the couch and we were
ready for the finale of Australian Celebrity Amazing Race.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
Right.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yes, now, this is our guilty pleasure show. It's because
of the places they go around the world. And also,
as I mentioned previously, a girl I used to work
with at a fruit shop, Aisha Jean Scott, who is
now as a mega star. She's on below Dick. She
is one of the couples, so her career sort of
took off hugely, like superstardom. But it's cool to have
(21:28):
a dog in the race. If you know what I
mean to hear someone that was at a horse in
the race. I don't want to. I don't my foot
it is so too late. But we were fully get
up for the finale. It turns out it was the
penultimate episode and we'd got it wrong. But it is
amazing how these reality shows, and it's the same with
the Loan. The way they are cast is so important
because now that we're at the end, there three of
(21:50):
the couples i'd say are really entertaining and it's been
those couples have got there because they've got to the
end of these other challenges and they've gone, hey, it's
non elimination. Yes, and they've kept the right people there
because if it wasn't those people, I wouldn't still be watching. Yeah,
so I'm convinced they manipulate it a wee bit. And
casting is so important.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Well, I think, you.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Know, because all these people have some skills in the
bush and I think there's an element of that in it.
But also it is a genuine you have to try
and survive as long as you can.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah, right, so it's realistic.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
It's realistic.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yes, Yeah, casting so important. Like imagine if I wasn't
on the Big Show, I often.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
Do and.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
The whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
You're welcome back, your messive backbones. Hope your Tuesday's going

Big Show, brought to you by Toledos.
Speaker 2 (22:48):

Speaker 5 (23:00):

to love?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Ke They've said that we love what you guys are doing.
Keep it up and just make sure you mention that
you can get them online at Toledo's dot coat.
Speaker 5 (23:10):
On inteed or did they say that as well? Did they?
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Yeah? Yeah, they mentioned that you hadn't been plugging.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
That all right.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Yeah, Well, I don't tend to do this sort of admin.
That's kind of your you know.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Have you noticed how that's happened?
Speaker 5 (23:22):
What's that?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
How all of a sudden my job is to do
all of the admin.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I'll be honest with your keysy, I would do it,
but my computer is on the blink.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Your computer's not on the blink. It's a brand new
touch screen when that was installed at the start of
this year, and you've never logged into it.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
Well, I don't know my password.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I remember a couple of years ago, we actually went
through the drama of like recitting your pass work. Yeah,
what was the drama getting you into your emails? And
it took a lot of it. I think pugs did it,
and then we checked your emails. It was like a
billion in there.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
Yeah, well because they've never checked them over fourteen.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Years and then we just never did it ever again.
It's all expired again.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Actually, if anyone has any ideas what my past word is,
can you text me on three four eight three and
I'll give it a nudge ehing that keezy. Imagine if
someone stumbled upon it and I could suddenly access all
the end zed me email.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Yeah, send through houghdy J's password three four eight three
every text in the drawer for a fifty dollars cash
injection thanks to toledos. You know everything that comes through
is going to be an insult, right, Yeah, of course
it is.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
That's kind of standard practice.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Hey, is she had the Hilliarchy?
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Big show was Jason, Mike and Kezy tune.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
In four on Radio Holacky.
Speaker 7 (24:31):

Speaker 2 (24:37):

just texting here again? What is Magic Crown?
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Did they? I can't see it on my text machine?
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Oh no, I know that you're locked in your tra
I have to stop lying about people texting in Yeah.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
Yeah, that's that was a complete.
Speaker 2 (24:56):

Speaker 6 (25:50):

Speaker 4 (25:51):

Speaker 5 (26:21):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (26:23):
And Scotty mate? You like rugby league?
Speaker 6 (26:26):
Yeah definitely mate.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Just just hold it, hold it there for a second. Scotty,
what do you think about?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
What about what you call me old?
Speaker 5 (26:34):
For a start in it? I mean who's into that?
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (26:37):
But I mean there'll be some kind of computer week.
He's not going to bring a computer and I bet
he's a gamer too.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
You be a gamer in like NRL.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Hey, Scotty, good on your mate, you're in the drawer.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Good good on you mate. What do you do for
a cruss? Peter Sell?
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Reinforcing steel?
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Does it get any more backbone than that? I don't
think so? Best? Yeah good. How's that industry going at
the moment? Mate?
Speaker 3 (27:15):
I've been challenging the last few years to be fair.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
Yeah, yeah, everything's challenging these days.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Bloody, especially being on the radio. Hey Pete, just just quickly,
it's Tuesday, so later on today we're gonna do what's
on the dinner with me, Keesy? But just what are
you having for dinner tonight?
Speaker 5 (27:30):

going out a flash fasts. You're gonna tell us you

Speaker 2 (27:42):
All right, well I have fun at you anniversary, mate,

Speaker 6 (27:45):
Line, thanks fellas God.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
How far away is your anniversary because you know, of course, Kezy,
I blew mine.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
My anniversary was in January.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Okay, yeah, so we passed it.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
Oh yes, yeah, I nailed It's got her a gift
and everything.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
Joe.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah, even said happy anniversary, man.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
Did you Yeah? Because you even do that? Ah No,
I didn't do any of that. She appreciated the flowers
you seeing it though, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
No, they were nice. They were nice ones.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
And I was gonna put it from Jason Keasey yes,
and I was like, oh nah, so just put just
from Kezy. Hey, are you coming up next though? Jas
comedian Hitter Dawson. Now, there's a great comedian getting around Aukland.
Her name is Courtney Dawson. She's been on the show before. Yes,
I think she's been on Taskmaster and a few other
shows like that. She's fantastic. It's her dad and he
operates a comedy club out of his shed in Manudera.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Man, he's an absolute backbone. And he's coming on the
show next.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarky.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
He's indeed Harvey Danger there on the Radio Hodarky Big Show.
This beautiful, if not blustery Tuesday afternoon. We've got a
very special guest in the studio with US comedian Hitter Dawson.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
Good Ay may Our's life.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Kield All boys, it's going to be here Radio Hedarky.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yeah man, Now, Hitter, I've met your daughter quite a
few times Courtney Dawson. Now, last time I saw her
we were rather steamed together out of Byo in Kingsland.
That seems possible, yeah yeah, And she told me quite
a lot about you because you're running, you have done
for a long time. You run a comedy club out
of your garage.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
That's right.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
I run It's called Poppies Comedy. It's out of my garage.
It's been going for about twenty months.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
How good? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (29:23):
And so how did you do you? Do you need
consent for something like that or do you just just
chuck up some speakers and get into it?
Speaker 5 (29:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Speakers? Light, stage seats?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (29:33):
Do you sell light wedges and stuff? Do you have light?
Can you have some beersies here?
Speaker 6 (29:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (29:42):
Well, funny you see that, Jason, I put on a
kai every time we have a gig. So we put
on a lamb roast and we have like people from
the show and the comics come up have a few beers.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Yeah, oh help to eat.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
Yeah, not just.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
About the comedy, it's about the community.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
And so how often do you do this?
Speaker 8 (29:59):
Well in April, I've got one this week, the following
week and the next week, and of course when the
festival kicks off for three weeks. Wow, I'm going to
have six acts in this little garage doing eighteen shows.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
Oh my god. And so what's your sort of seating arrangement?
How many people are we looking at here into it?
And who is kind of your audience it turns out
for this.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
Sure.
Speaker 8 (30:20):
One of the things is that I decided to put
comedy in my garage because I said on the International
Comedy Trust as a board member, Yes, we talked about
having comedy out in the suburbs. I decided, if I'm
going to do it, yeah, So I did it. So
I cleaned out the garage, told them this is what
I was going to do. She said I was crazy.
And then I just got these seats from Scotty at
(30:41):
the Classic Brilliant put them in there. I just kind
of wiggle things around a little bit bluken seat thirty people.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Fuy, whaty to push? Right? So we're talking like a
double talking about it like a canjoin doubles. I'm trying
to picture the house.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
Sure, let me just do the mass here or.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Is it a separate, like sort of standalone garage.
Speaker 8 (31:00):
No, no, you go, it's downstairs, right, It's like it's
like underground comedy, right, and it's God does Brick war
So And I film all the gigs and when I post.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Them up that could be done in anywhere in the world.
You go, Ye, where's it from?
Speaker 2 (31:13):
But which suburb is it in?
Speaker 5 (31:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Thirty thirty keysy, thirty people, eighty bucks ahead.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
What's that.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Four hundred you're doing all right there?
Speaker 3 (31:27):
And not that thirty bucks ahead?
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Eighty bucks ahead a.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Kind of Well, it's a great idea because I mean,
you know, often we think that comedy has to you know,
happen in certain places, and it has to be at
a parb or it has to be there. Comedy can
happen wherever the bloody hell you choose it to happen.
If you've got a little set like that, perfect I did.
Speaker 8 (31:49):
I put it up because for have Maldi and Pacifica
comics to have a space in which they can do comedy. Great,
sure we let the others come in, but you.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
Know, but it is a space.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
If we have to, there's a space. We're open everybody.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
We're like that.
Speaker 8 (32:07):
But I have some of the best comics in New
Zealand turn up and do comedy.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Well, this is this is a funny thing. Hitter is
the Maldi side of my family, which is my mom's side.
My uncle's at like the funniest people I've ever met.
But they would never come into town and go to
like the Classic Comedy Show or anything like that. That's
too busy at home having a few beers and giving
each other shit. So you're set up that you've got
poppies that you said, poppies comedy. Poppies comedy. That is
(32:34):
it's a great way to get guys like that and
people like that into doing comedy.
Speaker 8 (32:39):
One hundred percent the number of people that reach out
and go, you know, I is it okay if I
give it to go? Yeah, man, Yeah, let's put up
a gig. Let's get you in there. Because they in
some spaces that don't feel comfortable, but it's in a
garage and many era but they turn up and they go,
holy heck, this is a professional outfit.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yeah, it's just getting them there. And so do you
find that people come along and watch the show first
and then shall to tap you and say can I
have a crack?
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:01):
And I also invite a lot of people to stay
coming and have a look. See what you're up for?
Speaker 6 (33:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:05):
And it's interesting, isn't it? Hit her?
Speaker 4 (33:07):
Because Kezy was interested in stand up comedy there and
he sort of had that sort of attitude.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
I'm a bit of a funny.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
Bars he said, I reckon I could do this piece
of pass went up there and bombed on his.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Absolute shocker.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
And I mean, but we loved it, didn't we easy,
We gave you a support.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Yeah, your mum really enjoyed it. I remember she felt
really proud of old Kesy.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Yeah that's pretty adjacent. A good job of summing it up,
the hitter. No, No, I just decided that it was
a lot of a lot more work to be a
stand up comedian than I was ready for. You're gonna
get out there here every night, hitter. You've got to
be out there like ten pm on a Wednesday. You've
got to eat it.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
You've got to eat a lot of it.
Speaker 5 (33:48):
Oh yeah, to get better.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
What's your own sort of little journey in terms of comedy?
You do you stand up yourself? How long have you
been doing it for?
Speaker 3 (33:56):
For about nine years?
Speaker 5 (33:58):
Nice?
Speaker 8 (33:59):
And I got into it because I saw a guy
from work said, hey, man, I did stand at comedy
and I was really good. And I was evenys laughing,
and I was looking at him and going, bro, I
think I'm better than you. I'm going to give this
a crack. I gave it a crack and I loved it,
and I just kept on going beautiful.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, well what wem I do jays. As we talked
about Poppy's comedy. So if you want to go and
see some stand up comedy in Money Deal, I make
sure you hit that. Give it a Google?
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (34:23):
How how you give it a Google?
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yeap?
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeap, one hundred percent. Up next Chase, we'll talk about
hits show in the International Comedy Fest which is coming
up beautiful.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
The Hidarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy tune
in four on Radio.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
Holarky KG Elephant there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show
this Tuesday evening. We'll got comedian held Awson and with us.
And I believe the Comedy Festival coming up here. You've
got a show in the festival.
Speaker 8 (34:50):
Yeah, that's right. I'm going to be doing my first
solo show. I mean doing comedy for about nine years.
I thought one.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
It's time to pull that. You know, it's time here
to It's time man.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
So how does that feel? Because your show is called
the Court all Chronicles because you are a qudal, I
am a cad, which for those that don't know, is
the multi word for grandfather. And so first of all,
how nervous were you when you when it came time
to make that decision to do a full just because
an hour long.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
Yeah, it's an hour long far out.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Yeah, and so you've got to take all these, like,
you know, eight ten minute things you've been doing, put
them together and just give us your best stuff.
Speaker 8 (35:23):
Right there is the one and there's a flow to
it about how you kind of start off and then
you have it tapers off, and then how you're trying
to continue to engage the audience.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah, and then how you kind of finish off for
any big.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
So finding that through line to yeah, okay, I tell.
Speaker 5 (35:38):
You what hit it's a big call, man.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
You know, I've seen people do that and you know
they go they do the ten minute set in the
fifth and then they do the hour and oh jeez mate,
So we're things good luck with that, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Yeah. So the coud Chronicles in terms of being a
Caudal is it. Do you get a lot of content
from like your grandkids?
Speaker 8 (36:02):
What it's about? You know, I'm fifty eight, I'm a
cal It's a real personal show. It's a little bit
about what's been going on in my life, talking about.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Past head and all that stuff. He got up to. Yeah,
what I'm doing now? What does the future look like
for him?
Speaker 8 (36:16):
It's I get lots of stuff from my wife and
my kids and my grandkids, so many observations from them,
and I go, man, I need to get this on stage.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
I tell you what, Man, I've got four daughter's a.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Hit and my wife is hanging out for a grandbaby.
She like she, I mean, I even suggested that maybe
we should have another baby, just because you know, she's
so desperate for a baby.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
Good news, says oh Keezy, I believe easy.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
If you tell Hittel that I'm expecting a child, this
is an ongoing joke that I'm expecting a child. I'm not. Ah,
I'm not Oh what what? No jays, Come on, man,
this is about hitter being a grandfather, not you. Yeah.
So in terms of the festival, obviously it gets underway
in May. What point are you at with your with
your show? You know, have you got it all figured out?
(37:04):
And now you're just you're just honing it.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Ready to go?
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (37:08):
Nice man, really go.
Speaker 8 (37:09):
I was down in Palmerson, North Yeah, yep, yeah, and
I did it, yeah, whole hour, even even to the
bit where I went, oh, how much time have I got?
Speaker 3 (37:16):
And the guy goes oh, you're right on time, and
I still had jokes in the pocket.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Because is that like a I mean, I'm Jason, You've
done a shitload more stand up comedy than I have.
But is that like a worry when you get up there,
when you're going for the hour is on paper, yes,
it's an hour, but you get up there, you get
to fifteen minutes and you've you've run out, you know,
Is that a worry?
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Nah?
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Sweet nah?
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Because if you do forty eight fifty, it's all g
it's all Jene.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
It all depends, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
No, seriously, Johnny and I would sometimes be shockingly sure
of an hour, you know, and go, oh, oh, well
that's not so.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
To be honest with you, guys, the audience is probably stoked.
Yeah they were.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
I mean half of them would leave halfway through Keysy.
But you know the thing is, it depends. It's all
depending on the audience too, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
And an hour can go boom just like that and
be over and done with, or it can feel like
it goes on forever.
Speaker 8 (38:11):
It's part of the engagement. And if you finished strong, yes,
then then they leave.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Remember memory, that's right.
Speaker 5 (38:17):
Yeah, totally.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
You could be crapped an entire time. But that last
but the man.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
That was funny. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Now, Hitter Dawson, comedian who were chanting to at the moment.
Your daughter is Courtney Dawson, who we've had on the

the past.
Speaker 8 (38:34):

together as finalists.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yeah, right, up against one another.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Yeah, let's right, hit the head?
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Who won?
Speaker 3 (38:44):
And but we were hit the head in this thing?
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Yeah, yes you won.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
How did you feel about that? Well? You know we
are you proud or stooped?
Speaker 5 (38:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:57):
If it's any consolation, Man, all my girls are funny
than me, you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (39:02):
Nah, just come on, keys, I'm sorry I keep.
Speaker 8 (39:04):
Getting reminded about it. I'm sure you're just funnier than you. Man,
We're different with different comics.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Yes, yeah, right, Oti obviously has your genes in terms
of comedy, you know what I mean.

So I was on Instagram and I got served whole
bunch of these recipes and I was like, I really
want to give that a go. So I went and
bought a twenty dollars rice cooker from Kmart and you
can basically just buff a whole bunch of things into
the rice cooker, go walk away. Thirty minutes later, Boom,
You've got a whole meal. So put some rice on obviously.
Speaker 5 (42:56):
And then you say I'm going to slap you.
Speaker 10 (42:59):
You can put if you want. You can put check
peas in it if you want.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
You've put meat in it if.
Speaker 9 (43:02):
You want, right, pole, bunch of sauces, a couple of
vegetables like you spring onions, your carrots, yeah, peppers, stir
fries almost like.
Speaker 10 (43:10):
A stir fry.

mix it around, lit on, look on, walk away.
Speaker 5 (43:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:16):
Okay, interesting because I'm finding the the aar fry is
an extremely versatile thing as well. You toasty sammies, all sorts,
You can cook all.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
Sorts in your aar fry.
Speaker 2 (43:30):

I'm begging some meat obviously, okay, yeah, backbone.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
See, if I was going to do that, I'd go
like a steak pie, and then my second pile would
be like a dessert pie, but still meet so maybe
like a chicken and cranberry bounced me right, Okay? Would
you Jace, would you just go both the same flavor?
Speaker 5 (44:11):
You would have been proud of me.
Speaker 4 (44:12):

I thought of you because I bought five chicken fire
crackers from the survey there and they were like chicken nuggets, oh,
the little chicken bites, yeah, but the spicy, and I

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Okay, it's never going to be amazing.

Oh God, really coming back to get me there? Testicular cancer?
Where was i? It is the number one cancer among
young fellas here in New Zealand. However, it is highly
treatable when caught early, but people just aren't checking. All right,
So there is a lump lottery that has been set up.
If you find a lump, you want a ute, all right,
You find a lump, you win a ute. You don't
actually just want to ute for finding a lump. But
(46:46):
if you hit to lump, lottery dot co dot in
is in all the information is there, the tickets in
your pants. Just check yourself and you could want to
ute now speaking to you.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
Yeah, can I just re quickly saying, if you're a
bit grossed out by your own downstairs.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
Get a mate to check for you. Kiz. He did
it for me the other day and it was all

Doing a great job, Jilly. Good on your mette.
Speaker 10 (47:21):
Thanks Mane. That's what was what you're saying off here.
But I appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Seriously, You've got to stop bagging him off and listen.
Speaker 4 (47:27):
I'm not happy about you sitting in Mogi's seat. By
the way, you need to be sitting in the guest seat. Okay,
but that's okay, than that. What's going on?
Speaker 5 (47:35):
Man? What's happening? Fellas? What's that?
Speaker 9 (47:37):
I have a problem and I thought i'd come to
you too to help me find a solution. I need
to collect something from Fielding right, Fielding North Island, Lower
North Island, Lower Northine.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
So now here's me.
Speaker 10 (47:51):
I'm from the south Fdal.
Speaker 9 (47:52):
I didn't know where Fielding was right, so I just
said to my mate, hey, you know, worries. I'm sure
I can organize. I can pick that up. That's no stress.
Speaker 10 (48:00):
Turns out it's right next to It's like damn Pumston.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Yeah, it's right down there.
Speaker 5 (48:04):
It's a good miles of quite a drive.
Speaker 10 (48:08):
It's quite a drive. And the thing I need to
pick up it's it's quite large as well.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (48:12):
It is a racing simulator, which is oh.
Speaker 11 (48:14):
Gaming, it's gaming, yeah, j gaming, jays, Jace, carry on, dilly, it's.
Speaker 10 (48:26):
Not the it's quite a sizable thing.
Speaker 9 (48:28):
It won't fit in my Master three two three hatchback.
So yeah, okay, I need I need a ute and
we just happen to have a hold ECHI here. We
do have a heard, right, So is it how to
get go about getting the ute?
Speaker 10 (48:42):
Yes, because I didn't realize how far.
Speaker 9 (48:44):
Fielding is from Auckland's about six hour drive, Jays, And
I'm not sure if.
Speaker 10 (48:48):
You're aware that the price of diesel right now.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
Through the roof, Mate, it's through the roof right So
you're trying to figure out. I used to do this
all the time when I worked at the Crowd Goes
Wild TV show. I used to borrow the Crowd Goes
Wild ute all the time doing a dump run or
picking up doing it dump. You're taking stuff to the dump.
Speaker 4 (49:06):
All right, Okay, why would you be doing from your
house because you've got to put a shuit around your placer.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Yeah, I'm not borrowing the ute to go toilet. I'm
borrowing it to get rid of stuff, you know when
I needed to back, like green waist and stuff. Yes,
And it's hard because you've got to ask, Yeah, how
do you go about doing that? Jase? What do we do?
Speaker 4 (49:24):
I'm disgusted firstly, and I'm going to make sure I
do everything in my power that to make sure that
doesn't happen. A gaming unit, a driving simulator, not on
my time, big Dilly, and not on my vehicle.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
It's not your vehicle. It's a station.
Speaker 5 (49:43):
Well it may as well. I am how racky.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
It's pronounced hold yeah, But to be fair, if you
are how raki, you would know how to pronounce it,
so maybe it.
Speaker 5 (49:52):
Just hold Yeah.
Speaker 10 (49:53):
I was gonna off you go on the gaming simulator
if you want to, Jase, But.
Speaker 4 (49:56):
I'm a grown man, Dilly, I'm a grown man.
Speaker 5 (50:00):
I don't do gaming simulators.
Speaker 2 (50:03):
Yeah. Look, I'd like to help you, man, but the
you does belong to Jace.
Speaker 6 (50:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
And also how about this? Can I offer a suggestion?
Speaker 5 (50:12):
Please?
Speaker 10 (50:12):
That's why I'm here.
Speaker 4 (50:13):
Kesey's a little trucky. He's got a little trucky with
a big bloody unit in the back.
Speaker 2 (50:19):
There he did dead. There's a petrol power kesy. It's
petrol with eight though it'll cost you about a thousand
bucks to get there in back. Oh yeah, Jace. You
can't just things you don't know the name of. You
can't just put the word unit in there.
Speaker 4 (50:30):
Now, Keezy will do that for you. He'll fill it
up and whatever you use your payback. How does that sound?
And there's a little trucky.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Yeah that actually works?
Speaker 5 (50:39):
Okay, good ah.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
The hood Chy Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kezy.
Tune in week days at four on Radio hodarchyiks.
Speaker 4 (50:47):

BLUs three Tuesday evening.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
Hey, Jace, by the way, maggie're not here. He'll be
back tomorrow. Jace. Do you remember, probably about a year ago,
where I told us story?
Speaker 5 (51:01):
Probably not then, Oh well, hang on, it.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Was about my wife and I in bed together.
Speaker 5 (51:07):
Oh yeah, I did, definitely, Yes, I do. I do
remember that story.
Speaker 2 (51:14):
And if you basically we were in bed together and
the things were getting a bit hot and heavy. Sure,
And then at quite a pivotal moment, I remembered a
funny thing that happened on the show earlier that day,
and then I set out louder it was funny today.
Old Mogi he was. And then my wife interrupted me
(51:35):
and said, if you mentioned old Mogi right now, then
we had done here? Yes, And I couldn't even believe
it came into my mind.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
Can I say that I related to that strongly because
I'd done the same thing.
Speaker 5 (51:47):
Yes, it wasn't Mogi, it was someone else.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Yeah, right, it wasn't Keasy, was it. No?
Speaker 5 (51:54):
No one even knew who you were then?
Speaker 2 (51:56):
Oh back then, Yeah, well, I was on Crowd Goes Wild.
Speaker 5 (51:59):
Yes, that's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Ah, So this was Friday night, Friday night after the Wars. Yeah, yeah,
the wires and lost.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
You'd had a few I had a few glasses of wine,
lost fifteen hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
I'd lost fifteen hundred dollars worth of listener's money. And
I was feeling pretty frisky. And we went into the
bedroom there and I was trying it on. I was
sort of leaning up against the door jam being like
hey and sort of swet swirling around a glass of red.
Speaker 5 (52:32):
Wine made your balloon of wine?
Speaker 2 (52:34):
Yeah, I have jersey on.
Speaker 5 (52:36):
Do you have any pants or anything on?
Speaker 2 (52:37):
Or yeah?
Speaker 5 (52:38):
My traki is because you don't like being nude in
front of you.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
No, not in front of my wife.
Speaker 5 (52:42):
Nah, well understandably.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
And so anyway, things progressed, Okay, not as far as
last time we were cheitty chatted.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
But what I mean when you say not as far,
I mean where were you at?
Speaker 2 (52:56):
I don't think. I don't think that's neither.
Speaker 5 (52:58):
I'm just trying to form a picture of my.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
Je you're picturing it. Let's just say it wasn't It
wasn't like a sure fire thing.
Speaker 4 (53:07):
Right, okay, yeah, okay, and this could go any way
tight yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:15):
And she I remember she asked the question and I
turned to her and said, no, Jason, don't be silly.
And then she just said, do you just call me Jase?
And I was like, ah, yeah, it's happened again.
Speaker 5 (53:31):
And then it was all on.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
No, it wasn't, she was, it was all off. So
I don't know what's happening. But whenever I go into
my bedroom, I picture you and Mogi. What's that about?
Speaker 4 (53:42):
Are you telling me that this has only happened twice
in the last year. Yeah, fortunately, yes, but the whole
you've only had this situation. You've only looked to make
love twice in the last year.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
You know why? How often do you do it?
Speaker 5 (54:01):
Kezy?
Speaker 2 (54:03):
I thought, that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (54:04):
If we want a baby, Keysy, you need to up
your game, man, Okay, I'll try for three times next year.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hdarchy.

done and dusted this Tuesday evening. Of course, Mogi will
be back tomorrow after hob nobbing with the stars tonight.
Speaker 5 (54:34):

Speaker 2 (54:36):
For today's podcast outro, Big Dilly came in. It was
a bit of a Big Dilly spish. Yeah, get to
know Big Dilly. But still, as is inevitable, we actually
found out more about you. This clip is entitled green Peace.
Speaker 5 (54:51):
I was a pretty good salesman.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
I would have loved to just go back in time
and walk past you as you're working for green Peace.
Speaker 5 (54:57):
With my ponytail.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
Least sorry about you in Greenpeace I know is that
you were inside that guy's house and got steam.
Speaker 5 (55:03):
Yeah. I did, and then he kicked me out because
he would I wouldn't.
Speaker 10 (55:06):
Did you get the sale?
Speaker 4 (55:08):
No, I don't think I did, actually, but I drank
about six or seven beersies and then he was like, okay,
I think you should go now with it.
Speaker 5 (55:15):
Yeah. Ah, those were the days, Keezy.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
God, they sound terrible. Seriously, if there's one job I
do not envy, it's that walking around stilling.
Speaker 5 (55:23):
Yeah, door to door. It's pretty brutal, and I feel
bitty brutal.
Speaker 2 (55:27):
I feel bad every time I ignore them and pretend to
be on the phone. Yes, I feel terrible.
Speaker 5 (55:32):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
Yeah, losers, what are you doing tonight? Doing a hoiity
and eating dumplings again.
Speaker 5 (55:37):
Yeah, I think so. Man.
Speaker 4 (55:38):
Umm. I just spoke to my daughter and was like,
what do you want for dinner? And she said, oh,
we've already eaten. I went to a special effort the
