Speaker 4 (00:13):
With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.

Speaker 5 (00:17):
Oh, g'day you mad bastards. Great to have your company
on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon. It is the 15th of September, 2026.
And you, my friends, as always, listening to the Big
Show brought to you by Reburger.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Serving good times and good food. Dine in or take
away Reburger today.

Speaker 6 (00:34):
Reburger.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
G'day, Mogi, your stallion house life.

Speaker 6 (00:43):
Going pretty grousey, you mad dog, you sick son of
a bee. I'm not sure if I'm still hungover or
if I'm coming down with something. Sure. I'm not sure
if there's nothing wrong with me at all.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (00:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
From the look of you, you look fine.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Have you got a fever? You're looking hot.

Speaker 6 (00:58):
I do, actually. I've got a fever, yeah. That's not good.
I've got a high temperature. I feel a bit sick.
A bit woozy. Yeah, I've got a, what do you
call that? Diarrhea.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Oh, you've got diarrhea.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
That's great stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
That's great. How are you going, Keezy? You've got diarrhea, man?

Speaker 5 (01:14):
I was good.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
Everybody's doing it. High five.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Yeah. Touch.

Speaker 6 (01:20):
No, I'm going good, fellas. Don't touch your mouth after that.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Going really good today, fellas. In a good mood. Yesterday
I was still a wee bit tired from the big weekend. Yeah.
Today I'm feeling a lot better.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Good stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Feel bulletproof.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
Bulletproof.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
That Tony jacket makes him feel bulletproof.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Yeah, it does, doesn't he? Gets all haughty. Puffs his
little chest out.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
That's right, I do.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Okay, I'm not bulletproof anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Well done.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Hey, Jase, how are you today?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Yeah, I'm very well, thanks. Kesey can't complain. I mean,
I could, but I'm not going to.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Probably will.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
I never complain. Tell you what, I am super hyped
about the show coming up. What's happening on The Big
Show with Old Mogi?

Speaker 6 (02:03):
One of the very last opportunities to get yourself in
the draw for Would You Rather, where we offer you
the chance to call us when you hear the cue
to call on 0800 HARAKI and tell us whether you'd
rather go to Bathurst or the grand final, fellas. Coming
up soon, that draw.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
It certainly is. We're going to be drawing it.

Speaker 6 (02:19):
Fellas? Monday. Monday. Morning. Monday.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
On the breakfast show that we'll be doing. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
We're hosting Reiki on Monday.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
And Thursday, Friday, just FYI.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And other news, fellas, there's actually a
bit going on. We've got whitebait season coming up. Yeah, man.
Keezy's got some big ideas for our Instagram page. He
wants to make some changes or additions, I should probably say. Yeah, yeah,
that's right. Wait till you get a load of this, man.
People are going to be absolutely frothing all over it. Yeah, man. Also,
coming up next, one of the Big Show members here

(02:50):
had noise control called on them over the weekend. Who
do you reckon it was? 3483, let us know.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
In the meantime, here's Soundgarden.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Snow Patrol there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this
Tuesday afternoon. The time is 13 minutes past 4 o'clock.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
Fellas, I had noise control called on me over the weekend.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
What? At my home, which is meant to be a sanctuary. Right.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
You don't need people coming around banging on your door.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
You weren't having a party or anything, were you?

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Giving you the old WhatsApp. Well, not really, no. I mean,
we had the Waz on at our office, the Frank office.
We've got a podcasting studio. We've got in there probably
the biggest TV in the world.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Why have we got it? I'm not entirely sure, but
it's good for watching the Waz. So we had about
20 people in there. You know, things didn't go our way.
A few more beers. Responsibly. Responsibly. And then a few
people came back to our place. And then you just,
before you know it, Jason, you'll know this, Keezy, as well.
You're sitting outside chit-chatting, a few beers.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
A few ciggies.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Oh, yeah. And, you know, we're just sort of, it
was not raucous by any stretch of the imagination. And
then all of a sudden there's a flashing strobe light
down the side of our house. Have a look out
there in there. There's a fella there, he's wearing a
high vis, and he's beckoning anybody to go out there.
So I go out and have a yarn. My wife says,

(04:24):
are you sure you want to go and do it?
Maybe I should go and do it.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Right, okay.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
I was like, what's that supposed to mean?

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Because I get a bit, I fire up when I've
got two bears in me, fellas, you know? Sure. Who doesn't? Me.
So anyway, I go out the front there and I
have a chat to this fella there in debt. He's
saying that it's excessive noise and one of the neighbours
has called noise control on us. Now, he is noise control.
He's by himself, which I thought was interesting.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
I thought you'd want to run in twos because when
you're going into this situation, there's a potential there for
people not to be too happy that you're there.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Yes. Out in my old parts, West Auckland, you would
never do it alone.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
You'd need to move in a pack.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
There would honestly be at least two or three.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Yeah, well, even around my area, which is a bit la-di-da,
I rent. I want to be quite clear about that.
But I imagine they get quite indignant about anybody coming
onto their property and telling them anything about anything.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
So I was still surprised it was one. So anyway,
I'm chit-chatting with him. He starts filling out a form.
And I say, what's your name, man? He said, we
can't tell you.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
We can't tell you our names. So this is. Right,
not even a first name. Not even a first name.
He's not allowed to give us a name. Yeah, it
was very unfriendly, I thought, and immediately I'd start firing her.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
If I knew your name, you'd be in trouble. Far out.
Lucky he didn't get it. But then they say that
you are not allowed to make any noise for the
next eight days.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Or they can come over to your house and fine
you $ 1, 000. I guess if we had the stereo going,
they'd try and steal that. But there was no stereo.
There was no music outside. It was only literally four
people talking. And I said to the fellow, I said, well,
let's just stop chatting here. Let's have a listen to
the conversation. We could hear that my mates were still talking.
And you could just hear a few people talking. Yes.
I said, is that excessive? I said, I get that

(06:18):
it's noise and that it's audible and you can hear it.
But does that automatically make it excessive? Yeah. Yes.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
It does. Yes, it does.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Don't fire up again.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
I was fuming. Jesus, I was starting to fire up now.
I'll tell you what. I was like, mate, if I
knew your name, you'd be in deep trouble. The other
thing that happened was he asked me my address, but
he was standing by the letterbox.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Yeah, it's like, dude.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
He goes, well, because the address that I've got here
is not the right address. This is a different address.
Because we just turn up and we listen for the
noise and then we go there. So I think what
he's done is he's written down the address that's on
the form as the address of the people who complained.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Right so he's He's.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Given me the address of the people who complain So
I know who they are But I know where they
live Keezy.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Did you fire up again when you.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Found out He's putting the wrong address on there Anyway
he asked me to sign off on this thing And
I said I couldn't because look at this. I don't
know if you can see that. That's tiny. I said, mate,
I can't see that. I don't know what's written on there.
That's like size 6 font or something. It could be
anything written on there you think I'm going to sign. Anyway,
so he just writes down the bottom in place of

(07:24):
the signature, would not sign.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Great.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
And that counts. That means I agree now to what
he's written on there. So anyway, he tootled off and
we didn't hear from him again. But I was just thinking– Oh,
it just makes me so angry.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Yeah, fired up. Can I ask, because I think it's relevant,
what time are we talking here? What time of the day?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Quarter past four in the morning, which is around about
the time people, you know, get up. What?

Speaker 1 (07:53):
If the birds are being annoying, sure.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
And the birds are annoying, man. Don't get me started
on those effing birds.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
You fired him up again.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I didn't do anything.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
But I'd like to know from people out there, 3483,
what are your weirdest experiences with noise control? I felt
this was, I mean, I completely understand it. It's talking
at that time of night. There'll be somebody lying in
bed going, Shut up. Oh, God.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Were you doing the mogey full throttle laugh?

Speaker 1 (08:17):
And go, douche, douche, douche.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
You'd throw out a few bat bars if everyone's on
your case. But yeah, 3483 or 0800 HODAKI, give us
a call. Because I bet there's some shocking experiences out there.
I know that there's one trip where people, if noise
control are going to steal their stereo, they have a
fake stereo ready to go.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
To hand over, which is genius.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
That's poked.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Every text on 3483 in the drawer for 50 bucks reburied.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Get it in you.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Collective Soul there on the Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon.
The time is 4.27 and we're talking noise control and
your experiences with it.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
3483. If you've had an experience with noise control, come
into your house. Every text in the drawer for 50 bucks.

Speaker 6 (09:05):
Oh, Mogi had noise control come over on the weekend,
you know. Meant to be a democratic society. We live
in there, fellas. And a guy can't sit outside hammered
piss with his mates at 4.30 in the morning.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
Smoking durries.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Smoking darts and talking heaps of shit.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
I mean, what have we come to, man? Seriously, I mean,
what's that ever been? I did have a mate back
in the day, and he had noise control come over.
It was a full, you know, a party in full swing,
to be fair. And he said the fellas that came,
there were two dudes that came over, ended up joining
the party. That's how you want to do it. They
were about to knock off, and they went, ah... Let's

(09:39):
not worry about it.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
That's quite good, because if it is the end of
their shift, what time is their shift? I wouldn't know, right?

Speaker 5 (09:44):
I had no idea.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Let's say it was 3 a.m.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
And literally it was the last call, and they went
in and said, hey, guys, can you keep it down?
And everyone's like, oh, I have a few beers. They
turned the stereo down a wee bit.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
That would be awesome, man.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Although, to be honest, most of the time it doesn't happen.
Emma here has text through. She's had noise complaints. called
at 8pm on a Saturday for her laugh. So she's
obviously running a mogi laugh.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
I think that might be part of it. It's taken
a long time for me to come to terms with
my laugh, but not everybody has come to terms with it.
Certainly not my neighbours at 4 o'clock in the morning,
which is fair enough. It's got a fair amount of
cut through.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Just she sent in a second text here. She was
watching Talkback.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Yeah. Yeah, good stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Nah, she didn't text it.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
I've had people complain. I haven't had noise control, but
people complain about the noise coming from my house, the lovemaking.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Was it like super loud yawning?

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Your wife was away that day.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Let's go to the phone lines.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
G'day, Carl.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
You're mad bastard. How's life?

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Good, thanks.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
How about you?

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Yeah, good, thanks.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Mate, you've got a bit of a tale for us,
do you?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yeah, we live out in the country. We're sort of
surrounded by a few lifestylers, and we had a bit
of a barbecue one night, and I don't know, about
11 or 12 o'clock at night, the old noise control
turned up, and I thought, Jesus, what are they expecting
them out here? But anyway, the stereo was a bit loud,
calm night, everyone could hear it. So we turned it down,

(11:16):
they disappeared, come back an hour later because someone turned
it back up, as you do.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
And then, well, they took it away with them. And then,
so the next morning I thought, oh, well, buggy is
we organised a bit of, a few clay birds and
a few guns and we got a few clay birds
at six o'clock in the morning and did it till lunchtime.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Yeah, backbone.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Good shit, Carl.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
As soon as I heard your voice, Carl, I was
thinking to myself, I don't know what the story is,
but I bet it's Carl's fault.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
100%. Carl, you got yourself a 50 bucks reburger, mate.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Well done. All right.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Cheers, guys.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Good on you, mate. Buggers. Buggers, yeah. What did he say?

Speaker 6 (11:52):
Buggers. Buggers. Buggers.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Yeah, buggers.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
You've never heard that saying before?

Speaker 5 (11:56):
Yeah, no, I have. I love it.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
A lot of people texting through on 3483. One dude
was leaving a party here. His name is Mike. On
his way out, noise control showed up. He told, they asked,
you know, is there a party going on? He's like, yeah,
but I'm leaving. It's winding down now anyway. Oh, I'll
just drop off the notices. I'll give you a lift
to town. So they dropped off the notices, told them
to shut the party down, and then he got a
lift into town with them.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Which is quite nice.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
To be fair, guys, is there a worse job in
the world? I mean, there's some shocking jobs, but it's
a shocking job.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
We should run a poll on that at some point,
because that and parking wardens, I would say, would be
top two.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
In terms of being hated, yeah, it would be parking
wardens for me, I think.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
To be honest, anyone that stops me, and most of
the time it's for charity, so it sounds terrible, anyone
that stops me on the way into a store... Straight away, fuming.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
But it's that thing of, you know.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
I hate it.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
Anybody that asks for something, go. Anybody in need.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
But the problem with the noise control is that you're
trying to stem something that's in full flow with really
pissed people, generally speaking. And that's a nightmare.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
It is. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Yeah, that and charity people.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
Yeah, charity bastards.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
One simple question. One weekend of a lifetime.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
Would you rather?

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Yeah, and I believe it's the last week for Would
You Rather. So you've got to be in to win, fellas.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Certainly do. Can you make a note of that, Keezy?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Sorry, what's that?

Speaker 6 (13:29):
You just write that down. You've got to be in
to win. Is that how you spell win?

Speaker 5 (13:35):
W-Y-N.

Speaker 6 (13:37):
Oh, man.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
It is the final week. We will be drawing this
Monday morning on Breakfast Week. We'll be on breakfast, by
the way.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Oh, yeah, we're doing that, aren't we?

Speaker 1 (13:46):
That's right. So Monday morning. So this week is your
final week. You can either go to the NRL Grand
Final or Bathurst. Flights, accommodation, everything taken care of.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Oh, how good, man. Two great prizes. G'day, John, you
mad bastard. How's life?

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Good, fellas, good.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Yeah, not bad, mate, not bad. What do you do
for a crust there, John?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Well, today, guys, we'll be at chiropractor.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Oh!

Speaker 6 (14:11):
Not bad. Hang on. Really? Is that sort of like
the engineer for bones?

Speaker 3 (14:16):
That's the one.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Good stuff, mate.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
You're a fitter and turner, I was going to say.
He wanted us to say backbone as a joke with,
you know?

Speaker 5 (14:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
Totally.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Totally.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Hey, tell me, John, where are you leaning in terms
of this prize?

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Well, guys, as much as I'd really, really, really like
to see the Waz do.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Their thing, the grand final, cut my veins open and
I bleed high.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Up, Dane.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
Yeah, nice, mate. Yeah, nice.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
And who would you take, John?

Speaker 4 (14:48):
To be honest, probably the old man.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Oh, yeah, nice.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
That was a bit of V8 himself.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
Yeah, nice. What a trip.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
That sounds lovely, John. You're in the draw, all right?

Speaker 5 (14:56):
You hold the line. Hey, thanks, fellas. Good on you, mate. G'day, Luke,
you mad bastard. How's life?

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Oh, mate, it's going really well.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Oh, what's going so well about it?

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Well, I'm on the phone with you fellas, so it
can't be that bad, right?

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Yeah, yeah. I like your attitude, Luke. It's bloody good
on you, man. Hey, Luke, what do you do for
a crust?

Speaker 4 (15:20):
I make the best kombucha in New Zealand. I'm a brewer.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Oh, nice.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Which brand, Luke?

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Oh, you've got to know it, mate. Good buzz.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Good buzz. I didn't want to say it just in case,
but they used to sponsor the Steamers.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Oh, really?

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
All right, okay.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, front jersey sponsors back.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
In the day.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
How good.

Speaker 5 (15:36):
I love a bit of good buzz, Luke.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Good on you, man. Are you thinking NRL Grand Final
or Bathurst, man?

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Oh, it was all the way, baby.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Yeah, good on you, mate.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
All right, Luke, you're in the draw, man. You hold
the line, all right?

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Okay, cheers to that.

Speaker 6 (15:50):
Nice fella.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
What a lovely fella he was. Yeah, he was really nice.
I mean, nothing against... But it always makes my tummy
a bit funny, kombucha.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Well, it's probably because it's healthy and your stomach wouldn't
be used to anything like that. No, it's not. It's more,
you know, sort of used to cheese balls.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
Hot pot.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
Hot pot. Exactly right. Yeah, yeah. We used to make
a kombucha when I was living over on the island
there on Waiheke. We used to make a lot of things, actually.
But kombucha was one of them. But you had this
thing in there. A scoby. Yeah, a scoby, which is
also known as the mother kombucha.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Or the bug, like when you have a bread that
you're making.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
You keep the bug.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
A sourdough, yeah. It's a disgusting, foul bastard of a thing.
And I preferred that we kept it in a sort
of a container that wasn't transparent. I didn't want to
see it.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, we made that mistake.

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Hideous bastard.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
My wife had a crack at it once.

Speaker 6 (16:38):
Oh, that's right.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
And I was just looking at it, and I was like,
I'm not drinking that.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
I'm not having it. Yeah. It was good.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I don't want to know how the.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Sausage is made. No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I'll just drink it slash eat the sausage.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Sweet.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
Yeah, good stuff.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Hey, just quickly, fellas, big shout out to boyschip.co.nz, Sports
Travel Made Easy, the other ones, providing these two amazing packages.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
How good, man.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
In the meantime... Just chill out, relax, turn up the volume.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yeah, chill out to the song.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
Have a bit of Metallica in your system.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
The Hodaki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hodaki.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Sunday, bloody Sunday. You too there on the Radio Hodaki
Big Show. This Tuesday afternoon, the time is 4.56. Plenty
coming up after 5 o'clock.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
Old Moogie and I are pretty fizzed about this, the
start of whitebaiting season, September to October, and we're fired
up for it, I can tell you, fellas. Also, we've
got a couple of tickets to give away for the
band Empire of the Sun.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, Empire of the Sun.

Speaker 6 (17:36):
Empire of the Sun.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Empire of the Sun.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
Great band.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
More information on their live gigs that are coming to
New Zealand. As we've said, we've got some double passes
to give away. They came out just after MGMT. They're
sort of a similar setup, aren't they? And funnily enough,
because they're known to their fans, because it's Empire of
the Sun, they're known to their fans as EOTs.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
Really? EOTs.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
That's because MGMT are known as management.

Speaker 6 (17:59):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, this is interesting stuff. But for some reason, I
just remember them having some of the weirdest video clips.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
And being like, man, these guys are crazy.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
Yeah, that's right. But their tunes are so good. They've
got some bangers.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Their first album, I've got it.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
Have you?

Speaker 6 (18:11):
It goes off, man. Wow.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
Funny you never use it for your trouble or anything
like that or if you never brought.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
It up before or been.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
To any of their gigs or anything.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Coming up after five.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Tuesday's going off.
You're listening to The Big Show, by the way, brought
to you by Reburger.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Crave-worthy street food freshly made with Reburger.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Now, I just want to say to the people out there,
there might be someone, for example, sitting in their car
right now going, oh, bugger, I missed the first hour
of the show.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
Do not fear. Do not fear, my friends, because I
can tell you that old Pugsan is beavering away in
Studio B, getting the whole show put together in a
podcast form. So if you miss any of the show,
you can catch it later on. Having said that, our
preference is that you tune in live.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
Or on the podcast. Or you listen to the podcast.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Or not at all.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Oh, that's the other option.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
You could do that.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
That's third, but that's still a podium finish.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Yeah, it'd be more of a bronze type scenario.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Hundy P, fellas. Hey, huge hour coming up. Whitebait chat.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
I'm fizzing, man.

Speaker 6 (19:34):
You still got the sting, Pugs? I hope so. He'll
find it. There's no way he'd lose that.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Ah, the whitebait chat sting. Oh, that's an all-timer.

Speaker 6 (19:43):
Far out.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Also, as we mentioned, tickets to Empire of the Sun
who are coming to New Zealand. Details on that later on.
And fellas, I've got a proposal for the big show
and our social media plan moving forward.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
Yeah, okay, good. I've also got a proposal later on,
probably not this hour. It's more of a six o'clock
hour proposal.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
It's coming too early.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
For the big show as well.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
That'll keep people listening. Yeah, totes, man, it should. It's
not going to be.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Overlapping with what's on the dinner after six, is it?

Speaker 6 (20:10):
Could be, actually.

Speaker 5 (20:10):
Here's Cage the Elephant.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Yes, indeed. Alison Chains here on the Radio Hauraki Big
Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is 5.13. Don't know
about you, Mogi. Love this time of year, my friend.
I am fizzed up.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
What for?

Speaker 5 (20:30):
Whitebaiting season, baby. It's back.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
You'll know this, Kizzy, but whitebait season... It's part of
what makes being a New Zealander great. Can I say that?

Speaker 5 (20:40):
You can say that.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
Starts on the 1st of September each year, finishes at
the end of October there. Yeah, look, it's one of
the great bonding periods that I used to have with
my old man.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
Oh, you're right.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
Yeah. So I've got a lot of memories there, and
I think a lot of people do. Yeah. A lot
of city folk, of course, won't have any experience of
it at all. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Well, I suppose the thing with whitebait now, though, is
that it's starting to– it's in decline.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
Isn't it? It is in decline, Keezer. That's right.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
I mean, well, you know, we all love a bit
of whitebait, don't we, fellas? I know. And like Mogi,
it was part of my childhood, part of my upbringing,
when I was a little whippersnapper.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
That's another name. Of course, that's another name.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
It's fish, yeah.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Why not for fish? For whitebait.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
For whitebait.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
In England, they call them whippersnappers. Whippersnappers.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Is that true? Yes.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
That's true, yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Yeah, toads.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
We call them whitebait.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
But, Keezy, you touched on a very important point, and
that is the declining numbers.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
And it's a really big issue, one that concerns me deeply.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Yeah, and the whitebait stocks have been under pressure for
a while. They actually changed some of the rules in
2021 because– there's always a concern about overfishing.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (21:48):
People get too keen. They love their whitebait too much.
And if you don't put the rules in place, Keezy,
people get a bit carried away and then you run
out of fish before you know it. So DOC has
actually come in this year and they've introduced further conservation-minded
fishing methods just to kind of restrict it because you
sort of find people were catching them by the pounds
and the tens of pounds and the dozens of pounds.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
It was terrible.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
It's a bit much and you find people sort of
freezing them forever or giving it away. I mean, I
remember when we used to start out, Jason, for us
it was the thrill of the catch. Right, it was
quite exciting. So you just catch, you know, like 50
pound of whitebait and then you just sort of, well,
that's the fun part, and then you just leave them
to sort of rot on the side of the river.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Yeah, the old bird's pecking away.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
So that was your favourite part. Right, okay.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
It was just catching them because they're hard to drag in.
It was the thrill of the catch.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
It was the thrill of it.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
But there's no thrill, right?

Speaker 5 (22:36):
The adrenaline of it all.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Aren't they just babies? You know, they're just little baby fish.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
But when you get them moving in a group together,
there's pounds of them, 50 pounds of the bastards all
swimming this way and that. It's not easy.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
In a swift current.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Right, okay, in a creek or something, yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
So they've changed the rules now, though, because you just
use any kind of a net. You could use a
drift net, anything you wanted. Yeah. You could use, a
mate of mine used to use a school bag.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Right.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
A school bag. Yes. When they were running hard. Now
they've pulled it back a bit. So according to the
DOC's new regulation, you allow gill nets. A gill net.
A gill net. A gill net. So traditionally it's something
where the fish will swim in. Their head being the
biggest part of the body gets stuck.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Yeah. Then they try and back out and they get
caught on the gills. Yeah, they can't back out. They
can't go backwards, fish, Keezy. I don't know if you
know that.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Have you ever seen a fish go backwards? No, I haven't.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
That's why.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Yeah. Spear fishing. Spear fishing. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Oh, you can spear fish them?

Speaker 6 (23:30):
Yeah, you're allowed to spear fish them. Rod and reel. Yes.
Fly fishing is another one that they're allowing as well. Right, okay.
And it just means they're going to be able to
bring in down the number. You still get the thrill
of the catch. Yes. But you can't bring in the
kind of numbers.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
You can also long line. Yes. One hook, one fish. Right, okay.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Farah, it'd be a lot of effort with all these
methods to get even enough for like a fritter.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
Actually, in terms of the numbers there, Moggy, because I'm
a little bit hazy on that, what are the restrictions
in terms of the catch?

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Oh, the most in a day?

Speaker 5 (24:01):
Yeah, in ones.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
12.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:04):
12 pounds.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
No, 12.

Speaker 6 (24:06):
12 white bait a day per person.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
That's a good day.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
Yeah. So if you've got a couple of them, if
it's you and your missus out there, that's 24. That's
enough for a frit.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:15):
A small frit. A couple of extra eggs.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
Yeah, a couple of more eggs. Beef it out with
a bit more flour.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Right, far out.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Maybe some parsley.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Right, you know, okay. Well, that's what, to be honest,
this is what I don't understand is what do people
actually use whitebait for? Because the only place I've seen
it is in fritters.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
You can do whitebait in a million different ways, yeah. Really?
That's the beauty of the fish is there's a billion
ways you can serve them up. Each more delicious than
the other.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Well, like we have... That's of no real importance to
me because we used to leave them rotting on the bank. But, yeah,
I mean, if you've got any ideas for how to
cook whitebait, because I tell you what, it's a very
controversial discussion point. There's all sorts of different techniques. Text
us 3483 and let us know how you do it.

(25:01):
You go on the draw to win yourself a $ 50 rebig, yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
Voucher. Voucher. Let's push.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (25:15):
Liam Gallagher there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this
Tuesday evening. The time is 5.26. We're talking whitebaiting season
and the best recipes for cooking your whitebait. Whitebait chat
with the fellas.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
That's right, he found the sting. I remember the sting.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
He's still playing, Keezy.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Good work, Pugs. It's great stuff.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Digging that sting out of the archive.

Speaker 5 (25:56):
Yeah, man.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
A lot of texts coming in, 3483fellas, of course. People
are very passionate about their whitebait.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Yeah, they are. I think it's fair to say that
your general idea with the old whitebait You have your whitebait,
an egg, a bit of cracked pepper, a little bit
of salt, fry it up, put it between two bits
of fresh white bread and heaps of butter.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yeah, this one here from Tony, for example, whitebait fritter,
grated spuds, fish stock, poppy seeds, flour and egg.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
No, how good is a poppy seed with a whitebait?

Speaker 1 (26:29):
If you have it without poppy seeds, you're an idiot.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
I've had it before as well. This is a South
Island specialty. They're mad for this. Exactly as you describe
it there, Jase, but just on top of that butter
there on the bread... Yes. A thick spread of marmalade.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
Oh, really? A marmalade or a mite. So either a
veggie or a mar.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Very different.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
Yeah, very different. Wait, wait, wait.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
So marmalade the jam or marmite?

Speaker 6 (26:54):
Marmite or veggie mite.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Oh, not marmalade.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Or marmalade.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
On that front, actually, Mogi, you just reminded me, I
think probably one of the more unusual times I had
whitebait was that as well. Two pieces of white bread.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Your whitebait fritter cooked as... previously suggested, but with like
hundreds and thousands.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
You know your fairy bread?

Speaker 6 (27:16):
Yeah, it makes it seem like a celebration, which it is.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
Makes it crunchy.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yes. Oh, that's such a good point.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
White Bay.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Ah, this is good fellas from Steve. He fillets them.

Speaker 6 (27:30):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Rolls them in breadcrumbs and then fry them in duck fat.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
Yeah, duck fat. Duck fat's the one.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
You need the fat from a duck, eh? Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Oh, it's got to be a duck.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
You don't want to go a goose fat.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Ooh.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
How about this one?

Speaker 1 (27:42):
G'day fellas, this is from Connor. He cuts the heads off,
fillets them, and then puts them all in the smoker.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Yeah, the smoker. Smoke whitebait.

Speaker 5 (27:51):
I personally think the head's the best part.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
Really? Oh yeah, you love the head.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Well, because what you can do with the heads is
you can cut them all off.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
And then you can make a stock with all the heads. Yes.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Yes. Guy here just getting back to how you catch,
best to catch whitebait with the new dock rules that
have come in. This fella here on 3483, I often
squat in the river with my mouth open. Yeah, nice.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Oh, that's good.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Sashimi whitebait.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Fresh out the stream. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:26):
Yeah. It's delicious.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
G'day there, fellas. I'll bake them with butter, wrap them
in tinfoil, about 22 of foil, 25 if you're in
the South Island.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Someone's texted through here saying they make whitebait soup.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Oh, how good. Absolutely, yeah. Lovely.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, like a chowder, I guess.

Speaker 6 (28:51):
There's about eight or nine whitebait in there. Yes.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
For one soup.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
A little bit of lemon zest, a little bit of
cracked pepper.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
What kind of a stock? A fish stock, I guess
you'd go with there?

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Well, I'd go beef.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
What were the....

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Another text here, fellas. G'day there. I love making stir
fry with whitebait.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Like a teriyaki.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Seven or eight whitebait. Yes. A little bit of broccoli, carrot.
Bit of mushy. Bit of mushrooms in there as well.
Some garlic, some red onion. Rice. Soy sauce. Rice.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Rice. G'day there, fellas. My wife makes an amazing whitebait smoothie.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
Oh, God, there's nothing better than a whitebait smoothie. Yeah.
About eight billion whitebait. Yeah. Just a little bit of water.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Yeah, just shake them up.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
A little bit like a bit of yoghurt or something
in there.

Speaker 6 (29:45):
Yoghurt? Yoghurt?

Speaker 2 (29:54):
The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
Green day there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
Tuesday evening. The time is 5.39. Now, fellas, are you
fans of Empire of the Sun?

Speaker 1 (30:10):
I'm a huge fan of Empire of the Sun. If
you aren't familiar, here's a couple of their tunes.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Always running for.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
The thrill of it, thrill of it.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Always pushing up the hill, searching for the sun. If
you'd like to see that live without the screeching on

(30:39):
top of it, give us a call now on 0800
Hauraki because for the first time ever, they are having
their own headline show here in New Zealand. It's happening
at Spark Arena, Auckland, February next year, 19th of Feb.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
Yeah, how good?

Speaker 1 (30:52):
They've come, you know, part of various festivals and things
over the years. I've been at Rhythm and Vines, Electric Ave,
a few other places like that. However, it's the first
headline show. If you know anything about Empire of the Sun,
they are very into crazy costumes and dress-ups and it's,
I love watching their music videos because they're so out there.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
And I can imagine a live headline show with them
would be a visual spectacular.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
I'm going to go to that.

Speaker 6 (31:16):
Really?

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Yeah, mark me down, fellas. No, 100%. Really? I like
their tunes. The costumes I can give or take, to
be honest.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Was that because they're influenced from?

Speaker 6 (31:26):
What?

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Drips from your eyes.

Speaker 6 (31:29):
There's a tune as well. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
We are the people who rule the world.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Great summer music, man.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
Yeah, I was going to say it's the sort of
music where you have a bit of a dance going on.
You know, you get your hips moving.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Actually, great road trip music, Empire of the Sun.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
Or winter. Really good in winter or staying home music.

Speaker 5 (31:53):
I always find them very autumnal. Really? Yes.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
If you're keen for tickets, they release noon this Friday,
September 18th via Ticketmaster.co.nz. The tour is thanks to Frontier
Touring as well as the Ask That God Afterlife Tour.
Should we go to the lines there, fellas?

Speaker 5 (32:10):
Yeah, let's do it, mate. G'day, Tom, you mad bastard.
How's life?

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Yeah, good, brother.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
How are you? Yeah, good, thanks. Mate, you're a bit
of a fan, are you?

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Oh, absolutely, mate.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Yeah, nice, nice.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Tom, it says you're from Kaiapoi here, man. Would you
fly up for the gig?

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Oh, absolutely we would, man. We do trips up to
Auckland all the time.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
Oh, you love it. Oh, rich guys.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
I don't know about that, but I'm a gig man.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
Yeah, giggity, giggity. Yeah, nice.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Tell me, Tom, what do you do for a crust?

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Oh, I'm a builder, mate.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
Oh, yeah, back then.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
And tell me, who would you take with you?

Speaker 4 (32:41):
I've got one of my good mates, Charlie, that I
always gig with, so he's always grabbing tickets and then
fixing back and we sort of post part, man. Is
there anything better, Tom, than having Charlie with you at
a gig? Nah, probably not, mate. Other than my other mate, Del,
there's about three of us that always go, so if
I'm only getting two tickets, mate, he'll have to be
grabbing a ticket as well.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
Yeah, mate. A bit of Charlie and a bit of Dilly.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Well, mate, a big boys weekend of it, why don't you?
You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Sounds great, Tom. Tell you what, mate, that double pass
is all yours, all right?

Speaker 4 (33:12):
Oh, you're the absolute ruffers.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
No worries, mate.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Maybe don't tell anyone that you're going with Charlie, just
a hot tip. You hold the line, Pugs will look after.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
You, all right?

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Cheers, man. Thanks very much.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Good on you. Tell you what.

Speaker 6 (33:22):
Yeah, would you?

Speaker 5 (33:23):
He seemed genuinely stoked with that.

Speaker 6 (33:25):
He was. He was really happy.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
And I actually, because I'll be honest with you, fellas,
I don't always believe the callers.

Speaker 6 (33:31):
I'll be honest with you. I don't always believe them either.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
But I believe Tom. I believe he's the sort of
guy that goes to gigs all the time. He gave
me that vibe.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
See, now, for example, you saying you're going to go
to that gig, I don't believe.

Speaker 6 (33:43):
No, I don't believe that at all. Yeah. Yeah. But
it's also like how you travel anywhere for gigs, he's
always coming up to Auckland. Because oftentimes when you live
out of Auckland, and you forget now that I've been
here for a while, but you're furious that bands only
ever seem to go to Auckland. They never go to Welly,
they never go to Christchurch.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
So this guy's going on road trips, and, you know,
he's talking about his mate there. It sounds like he
really loves Charlie. Yeah. Absolutely loves Charlie. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
Yeah, well, you know, he likes nothing more than to
get away for the weekend with Charlie.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Fair enough, to be fair. Shall we listen to some
Empire of the Sunfellas?

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Too late.

Speaker 6 (34:16):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Walking on a dream.

Speaker 6 (34:18):
Cheers. Yeah, it is a tune. Play. Play.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Beastie Boys there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
Tuesday evening, the time 5.49.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Fellas have had an idea that the Hodaki Big Show,
the fellas, could move to become food influencers.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
So there's about a billion food influencers from New Zealand
as well, pages out there. But, you know, they wouldn't
have the same unique spin on things as we would.
This comes off the back of a text conversation I
had with Jace on Sunday. So I got sent randomly,
I don't know where, a photo of a bowl of
ramen with no caption or anything, just a bowl of ramen.

(35:03):
And then I said, is that ramen?

Speaker 6 (35:06):
Yeah, cool.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
And then he said, tan tan with pork mince, delicious.
And then I said, thanks for sharing. And then he said,
you're welcome. A peppery chilli broth with real depth of
flavour and perfectly cooked noodles. A slight pepper burn on
the lips, which is quite pleasant. First time I've finished
a whole bowl of ramen. Sheesh, so full. Ramen chat

(35:27):
with the fellas. It was one of those ones where
the flavour profile kept building.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
Now, I need to put this in context for you, Mogi.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Sure.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
I knew that Keezy was going to be massively hungover.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (35:39):
And so I may or may not have been in
the mood to, you know, stir the pot a little bit.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah, sure.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
But I also know he's a fan of ramen. And food.
So I wanted to make him go, oh, damn it,
Hoity J's ramen-ing without me.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
No, but the good thing was I was currently eating
a big bowl of noodles, spicy noodles.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:00):
I think three out of four people on the big
show were. massively hungover on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yes that's right 100% and old Horty J was out
getting tan tan but I was actually thinking you know
we have a very interesting palette on this show Mogi
you love like rice and tofu and stuff.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Yep well yeah I love great food but I don't
care if I've got bad food.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Yeah which I I cannot handle having bad food yeah
it's like I will not eat this this is one
meal of my life that I have wasted on bad food.

Speaker 6 (36:27):
You only get a certain amount of meals yes but
you spend a lot of your meals eating pork mints
yeah 100%.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
You know, because it's such a great, versatile meat product.

Speaker 5 (36:36):
And it's very lean too.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Not the stuff I get.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
Just filled with fat.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, I get 50% fat pork mince. We have to
order it especially from the butcher. But I was thinking,
imagine if we started some sort of Instagram social page.
Pugs will run it all and film it all and
edit it all and put it out there and run
the whole thing, obviously.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Yeah, of course. He wouldn't care.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
I actually genuinely think if the four fellas, if we
made a habit of going to places and saying to them,
we will review your restaurant. If you, you know, just
put it on the house for us there.

Speaker 6 (37:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
Obviously. And the only issue, and I think it would
go off because there's a lot of backbones out there
that love their food and they've gone, oh, the fellas
said this joint was really, really good. Now, I will
tell you this. The biggest amount, I've had a fair
amount of abuse online, but one of the most profound
abuses I've had was when I got a pizza from

(37:31):
a friend of my daughter's who runs a place, and
it was magnificent. It was really, really good.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
I remember this.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
And I just gave her a little plug, and she
was young, starting off the business. It was fantastic. I
paid for it and all that stuff, and this dude
just winked me.

Speaker 6 (37:46):
One person?

Speaker 5 (37:47):
One dude. He was just like, if you, Hoyt, you
sell out, you blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Really?

Speaker 5 (37:52):
I paid for it, dude. I'm just trying to promote
a young business.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Well, how about this then? I'm happy to take it
for free and cop the abuse, but you will always
pay for yours.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
Well, the issue that I have with it is I
find it very difficult to, if it was really bad,
say so.

Speaker 6 (38:05):
You've got to tell the truth.

Speaker 5 (38:06):
Oh, you don't?

Speaker 6 (38:07):
No, you've got to tell the truth. You've got an
obligation to your audience to not lie.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
Well, it was like the other day when I went
out and that guy came up to me and said,
good eating, and that burger joint.

Speaker 6 (38:18):
Yeah, and you lied to him.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
Well, it was terrible. And I went, yeah, it's all right.
It was really bad.

Speaker 6 (38:22):
All that time where you were having that chicken lemongrass
bao bun and that guy said, idiot.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, just like that.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
But that was a delicious bao bun, though. It was
actually a banh mi. Oh, banh mi.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
So, look, it's just an idea at this stage.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
You're floating it.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Yeah, I'm just floating it. And I'm going to get
Pugs to put together a few demo reels of how
it could look.

Speaker 6 (38:45):
That sounds good.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Maybe like four or five reels.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
He looks like he's fizzing about that idea.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Well, you look at, too, how much our Come Dine
With Me goes off.

Speaker 6 (38:53):
It does. Especially this weekend's one.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Yeah, I'm going to be taking heaps of pics.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
Really? Yeah, man.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
But look, it's just an idea at this stage. Fellas,
leave it with me and Pugs, most of the Pugs,
and we'll just workshop it.

Speaker 5 (39:05):
Get on your Pugs. You're a back, but God, you're good.
What would we do without Pugs?

Speaker 2 (39:12):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
Welcome back, you massive backbones. You are listening to The
Big Show brought to you by Reburg Air.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Craveworthy street food freshly made with Reburg Air.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
Reburg Air. Fellas, I'm fuming. I just popped out there
in the break just to get a bit of fresh air.

Speaker 6 (39:34):
Sure.

Speaker 5 (39:34):
She's bloody chilly out there, I'll tell you.

Speaker 6 (39:36):
Well, yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:38):
And anyway, I was coming back into the building because
the sliding doors have stopped now because it's after six.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
And I saw a person walking towards me in the
little reception area there. So I stood at the door
to hold the door open for them. And it was
a good five, ten seconds because I was in two
minds about doing it because they were quite far away.
And I went, no, no, I'll do it. Stood there,
opened the door for them, held the door. They walked

(40:05):
through and didn't even thank me. Wow. That is an outrage.
Where's common decency?

Speaker 6 (40:12):
Man or woman?

Speaker 5 (40:13):
I don't know. It was a woman. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I was like, I nearly said, you're welcome, but
I didn't.

Speaker 6 (40:22):
It's crazy, isn't it? Because, you know, we've got the
studio here. We're often in and out. As you say,
you're off to quite a lot to get some fresh air.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
Yeah, some fresh air into the lungs.

Speaker 6 (40:31):
I might be coming in right behind you, and you'll
actively close the door as quickly as you can. You'll
actively make an effort to not keep the door open
for any of us that might be following. And yet
for this woman, stranger was it?

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Yeah, never met her in my life.

Speaker 6 (40:43):
No, no, no. Opening the door for you. I think
that's your just dessert.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
I only do that to you when I'm going wheeze
and I don't want you following me because I know
what you're like when we're, you know, at the little
urinal there. You get very chatty. And I just find
it interrupts my flow.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 5 (40:59):
And Keezy's the same. He'll chat away there while he's...
What are you talking about? Just when I'm going wheeze.

Speaker 6 (41:04):
Nah, I won't, man.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
Silent time for me. Hey, by the way, New Zealand,
we want to know what you're having for dinner tonight.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Doing that next, by the way, What's For Tea New
Zealand with me, Keezy. Every single text in the draw
for 50 bucks worth of Reburger. 3483, we want to
know what you're having for tea, what your name is,
and where you're texting from as well.

Speaker 5 (41:25):
Here's Linkin Park.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
The Horaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at 4 on Radio Horaki.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
The Gorillaz there on the Radio Horaki Big Show this
Tuesday evening.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Hey fellas, we've got $ 2, 500 worth of goodies from Trade
Tested to give away. Trade Tested, they specialise in everything
you need for your backyard. And it gets delivered to
your front door.

Speaker 6 (41:52):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
Backyard stuff to your front door. If you are keen
to win $ 2, 500 worth of stuff, head to tradetester.co.nz. Put
together a bit of a shopping list there. You've got
up to the $ 2, 500 mark, and then go to hodaki.co.nz
slash bigdeckenergy.com. and enter there with your shopping list.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
And just on that, because you mentioned it yesterday, people
were very good last year at getting right up to
that 2,500, 2,499 type. 100%, yeah. Good stuff.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
It was good stuff. So tradetested.co.nz, put together a shopping list,
then go to hodaki.co.nz, enter the competition, make your deck
great with Trade Tested, fellas.

Speaker 6 (42:30):
How good.

Speaker 5 (42:31):
But right now it's time for... That's right.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
Time to chat footy with me, Keezy. What are the
Warriors up to?

Speaker 2 (42:40):
Douche, douche, douche, douche, douche, douche.

Speaker 5 (42:46):
Hopefully winning.

Speaker 6 (42:47):
Teamless Tuesday. The fellas are obviously up against the Newcastle
Knights and the Eliminator. We've got an Eliminator this Sunday
at the sold-out Eden Park. Fell sold out in about
24 hours. I went to get tickets. There's one seat
over here, one over there, one over there. No good.

Speaker 5 (43:02):
It didn't surprise me because, God, they're bloody popular. I
don't know if you've noticed. They like the Warriors.

Speaker 6 (43:07):
People like them. People like them.

Speaker 5 (43:09):
Who, the Warriors? Who did the Knights beat last weekend,
by the way?

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Rabbitohs.

Speaker 5 (43:14):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (43:15):
Yeah, got them good. Here's your team there, fellas. Injuries,
once again, mean we're not fielding our best possible team. Well,
best possible team without the injured people in it. You
put the injured people on, they'd be no good.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
Because they're injured. Fullback, Tain Tuapiki.

Speaker 5 (43:31):
Yeah, man.

Speaker 6 (43:31):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (43:32):
He played very well last week.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
He had a great game.

Speaker 6 (43:34):
Chans, your winger is Chans and AKP. Your centres are
Ali Laotawa and Adam Pompey. Great. CHT and Tamari Martin
are your halves. Front row of James Fisher-Harris, Barnett and
Wade Egan. Kurt Capewell and Jacob Laban are your back

(43:54):
rowers with Aaron Clark. Isn't that lock, fellas?

Speaker 4 (43:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (43:57):
Interchange is pretty standy. Sam Healy, Tennis Tower Smith, Dimitri Valmonga,
Eddie Aramia, Toyava, and Jack Cleary has made it on
there as well. Six-man bench with Morgan Gannon. Old mate,
Jackson Ford. Played only 26 minutes last week, fellas. Looks
like they're holding out hope for Leka Halasema and DWZ,

(44:20):
who are both planted on the reserves list. So there's
a chance they could come in. So they might get
a late call-up.

Speaker 5 (44:26):
Ideally, you want to not play them win, and then
they're fresh.

Speaker 6 (44:31):
Oh, 100%.

Speaker 5 (44:32):
Against their dolphins there.

Speaker 6 (44:34):
But what you don't want to do is not play
them and lose.

Speaker 5 (44:36):
And then it's all over, over.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (44:39):
It's a tricky one. And also, Keezy, for the Knights,
pretty much as read, but Dylan Lucas, who's been out
since round 21 with a fractured ankle. A fractured ankle
has been named among the reserves.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
See, the thing we've got to look out for with
the Knights is their left edge is ridiculous. Dylan Lucas
plays on the left edge. He's the left side back rower.
And he is a tri-scoring machine.

Speaker 6 (45:04):
Yeah, he's a tri-scoring machine.

Speaker 5 (45:06):
Is he?

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Because they'll feign going out wide to Caelan Ponga and
out to Greg Maggio.

Speaker 6 (45:11):
And hit him short.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
Barnstorming winger. And they'll hit it short. And Bradman Best
as well. And they'll hit it short to Lucas, who's
just an absolute weapon.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
Well, can I just say this? If you guys know that,
surely the Warriors do.

Speaker 6 (45:24):
Exactly right, man. But it's one thing to know it.
It's another thing to stop it. Just stop it. Yes.
All I'll say is this. This is potentially our last
game of the season. I don't care if we lose
as long as we play Warriors footy. Yeah. I just
want them to give it 100%, to go hard, to
try as hard as they can, to go for tries,
to not kick penalties. Go hard and die trying. Don't
be nervous. and make sort of those protect the lead

(45:48):
sort of decisions.

Speaker 5 (45:49):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 6 (45:49):
You're not going to win the comp like that, so
let's start playing like goddamn backbone.

Speaker 5 (45:53):
Leave it all out on the field, Mogi.

Speaker 6 (45:56):
Hear, hear.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
Ozzy Osbourne there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this
Tuesday evening. Fellas, and I hope you don't mind, but
I want to talk a bit of fashion with you
if you'll indulge me.

Speaker 6 (46:13):
Fashion chat.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (46:15):
Here we go. Fashion chat with the fellas.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
And more specifically, I want to talk about something that
I've noticed out there over the last few months. The
new look, I guess you can call it, right? And
it's the three-quarter pant. Now... Where have you been looking?

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Because I have not seen that anywhere.

Speaker 5 (46:37):
Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (46:38):
Are you talking about baggy shorts?

Speaker 5 (46:40):
No, I'm not talking about like... For example, Pugs came
in today with those ridiculous shorts.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Really long baggy shorts.

Speaker 5 (46:47):
Yeah, that you could argue were the three-quarter pant. Now,
I'm talking about the look. Imagine if a guy's wearing boots, right?
Ankle boots.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
So like the ones you used to wear?

Speaker 5 (46:59):
Yeah, ankle boots, your bloodstones, stuff like that. And the
pant is about three or four inches above the top
of the boot.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:08):
Back in the day, if someone walked out of that,
you know, walked around with that, you'd go, geez, he
got that horribly wrong.

Speaker 6 (47:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:13):
You know, you'd be like, come on, man, what are
you thinking? That's way off. But I've noticed it more
and more, and I just wanted to get your view
on it. How do you feel? Because actually, even though
initially my initial reaction is, God, that's terrible, that's wrong,
it looks wrong, it's sort.

Speaker 6 (47:29):
Of growing on me. How are you going to start it?

Speaker 5 (47:31):
I'm considering going the three-quarter pant. Have you honestly never
seen it, Keezy? No.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
Well, I've seen a sort of high, you know, where
it sits slightly high above the cuff. You know what
I mean? Yeah, I know what you mean. Because I'm
wearing quite baggy jeans at the moment. Reasonably baggy.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
But I've seen ones that go down and show off
the sock.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (47:51):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:52):
So that's what you mean.

Speaker 5 (47:53):
So if you had your socks pulled right up, it
basically goes to the top.

Speaker 6 (47:56):
Of your sock. Yeah, right, okay.

Speaker 5 (47:58):
And it's just a weird look. I wondered what you
guys made of it, and would you ever pull it,
you know, would you ever do it?

Speaker 6 (48:02):
I've given it no thought, and no, I wouldn't try it.

Speaker 5 (48:05):
Okay, yeah, good.

Speaker 6 (48:05):
You know what I mean? You just, yeah. That's right. Jase,
fashion is not for us.

Speaker 5 (48:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (48:11):
Fashion is for young people. You're right, Maggie. Style is
for older people.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (48:15):
You have to have your own style, but you can't
be chopping and changing with the fashions.

Speaker 5 (48:19):
Well, you know, because I was just on there, because
I'm getting on now. I'm thinking of running a, you know,
a cravat or something like that.

Speaker 6 (48:28):
Yeah, right.

Speaker 5 (48:28):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
Look, I think the issue you've got too is if
you did want to do the three quarter pants is
I guess you'd have to buy half pants, you know,
cause the three quarters be quite baggy on you.

Speaker 6 (48:39):
Quite long.

Speaker 5 (48:39):
Yeah, long.

Speaker 4 (48:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
So do they do half pants? Maybe shorts. Buy shorts.

Speaker 5 (48:45):
Well, I think if I wore a board short, that
would probably qualify as a three-quarter pant for me. You
know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (48:52):
So maybe get some boardies.

Speaker 5 (48:54):
Well, as I say, I'm not convinced I want to
have that look.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
Do you want to look really cool?

Speaker 6 (48:58):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
How about an Emerson's hoodie?

Speaker 5 (49:00):
Oh, now you're talking.

Speaker 6 (49:01):
Hey. Hey.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
Hey. Name our beer, guys. It's happening again. If you
want to go to the Dunedin Beer and Food Festival.

Speaker 5 (49:09):
Oh, yes, please.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
And you want to look cool while doing it.

Speaker 5 (49:12):
In your three-quarter pants.

Speaker 6 (49:13):
Yeah, sure.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
Whatever you want to wear down there. But you'd like
to take an Emerson's hoodie with you. We've got a
whole heap of free ones to give away. All you
have to do is name the special Emerson's beer that
they have made for the Dunedin Craft Beer and Food Festival.
It's Tropical Hazy Pale Ale. Text us through on 3483
if you have a particular name you'd like to name
the beer. And we're going to dish out a few
more of those hoodies tonight, fellas.

Speaker 6 (49:35):
How good.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
Just having a look. Matt says, five buzzy beersy. Five
buzzy beersy.

Speaker 6 (49:44):
It doesn't grab me. It's not bad, though. It's not bad.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
You know, five buzzes out of five.

Speaker 6 (49:49):
Yeah, yeah, I get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Just in case you didn't get it there. This one
from Sam. A feeler's folly.

Speaker 6 (49:56):
No.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
A feeler's folly.

Speaker 5 (49:57):
No.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (49:59):
It's too earnest.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Okay, hang on. Let me just, yeah.

Speaker 6 (50:03):
What have you got there?

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Old Mogi's Ale.

Speaker 5 (50:07):
Old Mogi's Ale.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
We can't just shit on every single text, guys.

Speaker 5 (50:11):
I was going to say, I don't mind that.

Speaker 6 (50:13):
I don't mind Old Mogi's Ale.

Speaker 5 (50:19):
But I can have with my pipe.

Speaker 6 (50:20):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 5 (50:21):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (50:21):
It's Mogi in a really cool top hat.

Speaker 6 (50:23):
Yeah, there we go.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
Like a side profile.

Speaker 5 (50:26):
Old Mogi's Ale.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
Quite a dark ale.

Speaker 5 (50:28):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Obviously, this is a hazy pale ale.

Speaker 6 (50:31):
Jajuj. Jajuj. Like juice.

Speaker 5 (50:35):
Jajuj.

Speaker 6 (50:35):
Jajuj.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Instead of da-do.

Speaker 5 (50:39):
Someone needs to talk to that guy.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
Yeah, okay. Nectar of the loins.

Speaker 6 (50:43):
No, no. Okay. What else have you got there, man?

Speaker 1 (50:46):
Anaconda ale. Buzzy brew. N'dear pale ale. Hazy hail. Responsibly hazed.

Speaker 5 (50:57):
Responsibly hazed.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
Old monkey horn keezy. That doesn't make any sense. Crafty drop.

Speaker 6 (51:03):
Righto.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
This one here is the worst. Filthy old neglected but
eager Keezy using the Hubble telescope to gaze like a
lovestruck teen back over his shoulder and ample gooch with
old Keezy.

Speaker 6 (51:14):
Ale.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
That's my top three.

Speaker 6 (51:16):
No, it's not. Lock it in. Lock it in.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
That's shit. 3483, name our ale.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's a big
show done and dusted this Tuesday. Jeez, we've gone right
up to seven tonight, fellas. It's been an action-packed show.
What's the clip from the disclaimer today, our bonus podcast there, Keezy?

Speaker 1 (51:48):
Today's clip, full potty comes out at 7.30, but today's
clip is about auctions. An old hoity-jay there buying a lamp.

Speaker 5 (51:56):
I was watching it count down going, oh, God, 30 seconds.
Someone bought it.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
Did you celebrate?

Speaker 5 (52:03):
I was like, oh, thank f * * * for that.

Speaker 6 (52:04):
Comment on there, eh, sucker? But then your competitive spirit
kicked up again, eh?

Speaker 5 (52:08):
Well, it did, and then I bid on something else. Oh, good. Well,
I've lost that now, so this one I'm still keen on.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
So, Jase, how many things have you bid on at auction?

Speaker 5 (52:21):
Truly, I've been involved in four auctions. I've probably bid
on eight things.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
Eight things, and you've bought one?

Speaker 6 (52:28):
Yeah. Good stuff.

Speaker 5 (52:29):
Not bad. Yeah, it's not bad. Moki, your plans? I'm
going to go home.

Speaker 6 (52:33):
I'll be completely honest with you, fellas. I'm pretty, pretty
sure I'm getting sick.

Speaker 5 (52:38):
Right, okay.

Speaker 6 (52:38):
I'm pretty, pretty sure. So I'm going to go home.
I'm going to have a bath, and I'm going to
go straight to bed. I'll be in the old fart
sack there, Keezy. I'll send you a photo, brother.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
Why do you always point the fart sack out to me?

Speaker 5 (52:51):
Like, why?

Speaker 6 (52:52):
You love a fart sack.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
I like my fart sack, not yours. Ew, Mogi's fart sack, gross.

Speaker 6 (52:57):
I'll send you a photo of my fart sack with
me all tucked up in there, Keezy.

Speaker 5 (53:01):
The thermometer coming out of your mouth.

Speaker 6 (53:03):
Yeah, or... Oh, durry.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
No, backside.

Speaker 6 (53:09):
What will you be doing this evening, Keezy, when I
send you that photo of my thermometer?

Speaker 1 (53:13):
Pugs and I are going to a special PlayStation event tonight.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
Doosh, doosh, doosh.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
Celebrating the.

Speaker 6 (53:18):
Stop.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
Celebrating the release of a new Wolverine game.

Speaker 6 (53:23):
Oh, you're joking.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
So there's a bar in Ponsonby that they've taken over
and themed out, and then we're going to get a
free copy of the game, hopefully, and dinner and drinks
and stuff.

Speaker 6 (53:32):
Wow, well, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
It'll be cool, yeah. Jase, what are you doing tonight, man?

Speaker 6 (53:35):
Do you want to come?

Speaker 5 (53:37):
Oh, yeah, well, that sounds good.

Speaker 6 (53:39):
Oh, damn it.

Speaker 5 (53:39):
There's no room.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
You have to RSVP?

Speaker 6 (53:41):
Sorry, man.

Speaker 5 (53:41):
Oh, okay. No, I'm meeting my wife immediately after this
in town.

Speaker 6 (53:45):
Whereabouts?

Speaker 5 (53:46):
Just in town.

Speaker 6 (53:47):
Never you mind.

Speaker 5 (53:48):
None of your beeswax. Hey, now check out the Instagram.
Check out the podcast. Till tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (53:54):
Goodbye.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
Bye.

Speaker 5 (53:56):
Bye.
