The way he sold it was I'm going to a
thing with like minded business people to talk about business.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
That's that's how he sold it. That's not true, that's
but it's great. It's just people that I so, just
a different group of people. And then I was like, OK,
was like, sorry, do you run a business? Sorry? You
got a business? Even any business ideas instincts for business?
Speaker 6 (01:10):
But I was I run a media business that I followed.
That's not where's the office? Where's your where is it?
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Exactly? And you were a band.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
From that Sole Trader party I could go to.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Can I get to that? No, I'm a sole trader too.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Was that set deal set there?
Speaker 4 (01:28):
But what I did first was I went out to
a local Japanese because after I had Japanese the other
night ingle bit, I wanted some more, man, I hadn't
had enough. So when I had another beer, one beer
and another thing of hot saki.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Yeah, ship, it's good man, you go to Japan.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Nah, I don't know about that.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I can't do the saki. I just can't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
No, well, you don't do it well exactly. But even
when I did do it, I couldn't do it. Yeah,
I know it was like absolutely delicious, well over twenty
years ago, to be honest.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
On the bright side, my my throat issue says, I've
gone away. I've smoked my way through it.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Oh you smoked? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Oh so my body telling me I need to give
up smoking. And he has a really bad throat so
that you can stop smoking, because why would you smoke
with a bead throat like this? I smoked through that, yeah,
and I'm out the other side. Yea. When your body.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Loons, doesn't well yeah, so.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
It's like beating it into submission.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Right.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
So when I'm lying in my bed ten years from there,
my worst game.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Your oxygen on the side, what it will be?
Speaker 5 (02:35):
Yes, yeah, yeah, worth it for the business dinner.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Oh it was good, it was good.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, interestingly, in terms of going to when to go
to bed, my wife on was it Friday night, said
maybe we're going to bed too early.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I went to bed really really.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Because we're you know, because we're you keep waking up earlier. Yeah,
it's like.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Our sleep is terrible at the moment both of us
and we were like, well, let's stay up from now on,
We're going to stay up later every night.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
So what's too early?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well, we've been going to bed. We go to bed
to ont a nine thirty court to ten.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Okay, so ten thirty.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
So ten thirty court to eleven is the new time?
Speaker 4 (03:13):
How to go?
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Pretty good? There, you go pretty good.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Well, I still wake up early, but it's not two
in the morning, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Three, it's four in the morning as a part, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
So it's because I've we've worked out that we've got
an iNFiNiT you know, a certain amount a window of
time for six six hours, yeah, about six about six
or seven.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
If you started going a bit at midnight.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I would wake up at yeah six seven.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
The Archy Big Show week days from four on Radio
Hurarchy with the ha Warchy Big Show Podcast.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
But then on that first night we wake up at.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Eight whoa at eight am am am a am.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Wow, that's amazing.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah, it's very good.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
It's a huge bastard.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And I tell you what also made a huge difference
for me, the old gaviscon Well, I haven't been on
it for months, rather than I had a scull of
that and the old burning stops.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Get yourself off to the doctor. Men. You shouldn't be
having this much burning. Yeah, for the amount of food,
although all you eat is hot pot Asian food and
eating that because it's not right. And when I was
having it, and I was give us gone up to
the eyeballs. It's not enjoyable.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
No, it's painful at times. What it is when you're
sleeping and it wakes you up, Yeah, and you're like
bern yeah, burning exactly.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
And I had like a Liita Alita bottle of gaveiscon
on my bedside table and I just wake up and
take it slugging. It tastes like a slug too, does
and it's got the white stuff that dribbles down the
side of and tends into a crust down the side
of it. Yeah, it's grim.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
That's so good.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
How was your weekend, Kizy.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
You seem like you're filthy.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Uh, my weekend was because you were looking for houses.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
Yeah. We we just went how open homing it was? Okay,
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Seen anything that went again there she is no we saw.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
We saw when I was pretty good, but then we
were like, oh, it's too small.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Basically I would have to she whorn yourself into liking it.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
No, so and I would have had to get rid
of my motorbike and beer even fit my little trucky
in the shed there, and then there'd be no room
to put any of my tools and in it. I was
just like, we're just we're trying to make this house
working stuff for work.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
It's interesting, isn't it when you're trying to do that.
And then we went to finding reasons to make it work,
and then you're like, actually, what are we doing?
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Yes, And then we went to another house, which is
the kind of house I would have loved if I
was like five years younger.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Massive.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
We'rest Auckland where the bottom is all garage. It's all
just be and it's a brick house. The top is
all the bedrooms and the lounger stuff looking out, and
the bottom is like two big garage doors. And the
whole was emptied out and so you could park like
ten cars under there, right, But the whole thing was
in its original decoor from the sixties, and Nan and
(06:08):
Pop had certainly let it go, right.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
And so I walked in there.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
I was just say, oh my god, this would takes
so much fucking work. That's just too I can't be
fucked with it too much.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Guys and smoke it, you know, and they probably smoked
like a daries And the joint.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
I was like yellow roofs.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
I was like those.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
Ceiling tiles asbestos. I was like that lining there asbestos.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
It was just a fucking shambles. It would have been fun, though.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
When I was lying in bed this morning with my
wife slugging you gave us God, No, no, I only
have a once at night, just before I go to bed.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Every time, not every night.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Do you brush your teeth after that?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yes, hot pot night.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And I said to my wife because I was you know,
as you do when you wake up in the morning,
your brain turns on and you're pondering life. And I
said to my wife, so are we done with our
old house? And she was like, what do you mean?
I said, so, are we never going back? And she
said no, yeah, great, no we're not. I don't think
(07:07):
an realization. Oh okay, yeah o G. I just wanted
to know, you know what I mean, because it was
floating in my head and I was going, oh, I
wonder and if we did go back, would that feel
like a defeat?
Speaker 3 (07:21):
I think it would a backward step.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Well, you love where you are, what would you consider
go well.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yeah, but you know that's it's a ring tool and
it all changes. Might be changed by the end of
the year. Yeah, yeah, I think so.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
And so do you Can you sell your old house?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
No, not at this point, just keep it.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
May as well. Yes, Oh that's exciting for you though,
but I also.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Felt kind of sad.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I was like, noah, okay, that's we're not done.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
Back in an era yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Time.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yeah, yeah, excited deffinitely.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
But yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:54):
My wife's the same with our current house. She's like,
it's so nice, and you've because I did all the renovations. Basically,
she's like, you've done so much work.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Are you sad? And I was like, yeah, I'm sad.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
And then I go and see your house that we
could have that's got an en suite and a double garage.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
And you don't fuck.
Speaker 5 (08:10):
You could have it. Yeah, it is amazing.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
Once you've got that thing, you know what you're heading towards,
then it changes your mindset totally.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
But we don't know that it's doing that thing that
allows you to move on to the next thing. You're
grateful for it, but you can't live there forever.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
But the interesting thing about the way my brain works
and my wife turn found out is we don't like
knowing what we're going to not I want to know
where we're going, sure, and so my brain struggles with it,
and yes hers does as well. And so at the
moment we are selling our house and are gonna rent
maybe if we can't find a house in time. I
don't know what the house looks like, don't know if
I'm renting or owning. It's it's really reaking havoc on
(08:45):
the old right, right, Yeah, go through waves of being
uncertain and confident and uncertainly.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Yeah, it's very interesting.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
I think that I think that's a natural phenomenon of
moving on because we were, you know, looking, when we
were looking to rent, like what.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Are we doing?
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what then we're doing and
then you do it and you go, why didn't we
do that before?
Speaker 6 (09:05):
And we could peel pens stay there, and then we'd
have very very short term happiness, very short term Okay,
thank god, all that's over, but then immediate regret.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
I think, yes, yes, you'll find something to me and
you reckon man, I mean, worst case scenario, Jason's old house.
You know that that would be well, that would be
worst case.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Worst case. I mean it would be a step up
for you for sure, but I.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
Mean your old house. YEA doubt it. I'd go to
step up and then I'd fall through through.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Yeah, totally.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Oh life, Life, This is a big show, four
Speaker 6 (09:54):
To seven week days, Radio heard good listening
