Speaker 1 (00:00):
For all your man Bastards.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Loving the Big Show podcast Get up even Closer on Instagram,
YouTube and TikTok for raw doggets four to seven every
weekday on radiocond I get a fellow mac man.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Are we sick of that yet? No, Mouggi gets sick
of everything for the fastest.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
No.

Speaker 5 (00:22):
No, I'm not sick of that, you know. No, no,
because I do think it's a good name. If we
made it the name of the podcast, then I'd be
sick of it pretty quick. Yes, I think it's feel good.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
That isn't bugging you? So I like that.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
He just did a little coffee because I want to ask,
have you been on the darries this weekend?

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Yes? Ah, and I drank yesterday hangover. Well, I'll tell
you what happened. Are you tired?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You look tired? I am.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
I am tired because I was home by seven, went
round to a mate's place. He's got a rooftop. He's
got he's just moved into a new apartment. He's got
a rooftop with a spa and one of those one
of those wavepool things as well, a wave those swimming
things in the middle. Yes, yes, the ones that they
have at the thingy Blacklash. So we're up there and

(01:11):
we used to live together on Wellington, me and my
wife and him and we do the Crossword every Sunday
and eat croissants and then drink a bottle of General
more So this is twelve or thirteen years ago. Yeah, anyway,
we're not doing that because I'm on the wagon. So
as players having croissants doing the crossword. Then he goes
out and he comes back out, it goes inside, comes

(01:32):
back out with a bottle of red wine, yeah, for himself,
and two glasses of water for my wife and I,
which is very thoughtful of him. Yes, this is at
eleven thirty in the morning. He's starting early. So I
take my glass of water, I tip it out. Come
on man, and then he pours me a wine and
then we rip into the darts all day and drinking. Yeah,

(01:54):
but then the worst.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
But it was.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
It was great except I said I wasn't going to
drink and I wish I had, but you know me, fuck,
it would have been fun. Though it sounds was amazing.
It was a beautiful day. You've got a view three
hundred and sixty degree view, no buildings blocking your view.
It's right by our old Frank office in l Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
Oh then real flash one. Yeah, yeah, he's got that.
So that was it was great. But then I got home,
we went to be it wasn't bed at nine, woke
up at eleven thirty oh, and did not go back
to sleep. Yeah hours. Yeah, did not go back to
sleep at all. And no, I wasn't on the gear
because it's illegal.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Exactly, yeah, exactly, totally.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
It was great, but not great.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Today it's amazing.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Like my wife and I like to go for a
little walk around the city, you know, Sunday morning and
every single day, every single day, yes, you know, and
you just wander around and go past all the bars
and it's ten in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
People are hunging into the beersies.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
You're like, fucking hell, okay, why not right?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, good ship man.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Well that's what That's what I like about international airports is.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, you go through this about airports that it's.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Like no, but international like transit, you don't know where
they've come from or what time it is where they were, yes,
and it's five am here and they are hammered.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
But in the airports in general, though, people it's totally fine.
You're on holidays smacking the pass at nine in the morning,
you know.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
So if you're going away to a concert, then you're
allowed to start drinking. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
And also your experience with international airports in particular recently
has been magic round in Fiji, which is involved pretty
much everyone.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
At but you know what I mean. Though generally speaking,
there will always be sun.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Bass that's hitting the pass.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Fun And it's funny because we went past a pub
on Sunday and it was about teen and do the
fellows drinking their big tall glasses and beer, and I went,
what do you reckon down? And let's get into it
and she was like, oh, I couldn't think of anything where.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I think, okay, cool, cool.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Same having said that, she doesn't drink anyway, not for
any reason, just that she doesn't like it.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
But I don't really like drinking before lunchtime for some reason.
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
It's the best time.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
It's like a mental thing for me. It's like once
the clock hits twelve, it's all.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
G yeah, I don't have that.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Did you have do you? Also?

Speaker 4 (04:21):
You guys and I have it every now and then,
not all the time. Where like today was a classic
example where it was about sort of one theater and
I was like, doesn't feel right.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
To work today, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I just don't have the vibe. It just there's something
about today. It just doesn't feel right. Nah, man, you
never have that vibe.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I think everyone I had that vibe today.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yeah, yeah, man, doesn't feel right.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
The whole Warchy Big Show week days from four on
Radio Hierarchy.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
The Wary Big Show Podcast.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
I'd say we're very lucky and that most people would
w cover at six thirty am.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Their alarm goes off to go to their hard.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
As job and they go, I don't have the vibe
of working today, but they do anyway.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But I'm sure those people have that all the time
they work and go ah fuck.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
And also ten hours.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
And there's a vibe in the city on a Monday morning.
It's very quiet, even sort of subdued, you know. Okay,
I guess we're doing this, are we?

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I don't know?

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Man?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Are you angling towards four days a week and then three?

Speaker 5 (05:28):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Mate, I've always been a big advocate of four days
a week.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
He always has always been.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I've got a mate that does that, and as the
statistics show, I think it was during the COVID period
or whatever that. Oh, in general, productivity improves, Yeah, because
people work harder in those times.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I can get it and get it done.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
I also love the idea, but it doesn't affect us
because it wouldn't be I suppose it would be possible.
I've been working from home thing too. People just working
from home just get on the person do nothing. That's
not true.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
Well, working from home would very easily work with us, Yeah,
because we just need to install like some basic soundproofing
in a room, good internet, and some microphones.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
We've done it before. We did it with during the
COVID period. I did some times working from home. They
dropped off the microphones and all that sort of stuff
to my house.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
We were still in here. Someone had symptoms, And then
you wanted that to do it from home. I don't
think I ever did. I think you did it a
few times, did you, Jay's I don't think you did.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
No, I can't remember.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
It would have been a disaster.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
And would come as it would microphone pluged into that
in my sun room going off.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
For fox sake, Why is this Fellows?

Speaker 6 (06:49):
For some reason, I'm imagined like you and just like
sitting in a little circle there with microphones trying to
do it.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
And I was talking to my mum over the weekend.
She's moved into a retirement village. Yes, she said it
was all going good. Everything moved in. She had a
little bit of unpecking to do in the bathroom, but
she just walked away from the from the Wi Fi
rouder because she was trying to get at work and
she couldn't say she was Efin and Jeff and I
just got to get away from it. But I love

(07:16):
the idea that that she's there just fume and the
same as I do.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Yes, well, interestingly, in our place, the Wi Fi is
in my daughter's room, where it's plugged in and where
Efan and Jeff and if they're a bit because she's
constantly kicking it or knocking it and it's coming out
all the time. So you'll be watching something, it'll be
and everything will die and it'll be like, what.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Can you can you plug in the internet?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Please? Oh?

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yes, sorry, my beds.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Fucking I'm desperately trying to watch the ship ship?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I survived? You still watching that?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
No, I've gone off that. Now I sort of moved
on from that.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
I was watching this whole movie today with Sean Connery
and Michael Kane.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
And it was horrifictly racist.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
That's why you watched it. You're talking about the good
old days, like shockingly bad. The Man Who Would Be King?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yes, that's the one in South Africa. No, No, I
think it was in Afghanistan.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Daniel Dravott and Peachey Karenan Krahan, two former British soldiers
in India. Yeah, I decided to travel to Kafiristan, where
no white man has ventured in a long time and
rulers kings. Wow, you feel like you typed into chat
GPT holidays and then said what kind of movie?

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Dream movie?

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Yeah, and then I just happened to find it on Samsung.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
See you are God. Great little scene there on Broken
with Mysteries. The jase that I, oh, yes, that I
uncovered is that in that upcoming episode for the List
was out there. It's Woody Jay being defended by Shane Cortes.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Could you put it on our story per chance share story.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
You've got the right to remain silent. You're not saying anything,
are you?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
That's true, mate, No, I believe played last night.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
I did it.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yes, it was the finale of whatever season it.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
Is, right, So you've got a big part in that one, Yes,
I have.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Is that the outfit?

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yes, yeah, we've got to watch it.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Well no, but having said that, I mean I'll wear
that outfit in quite a few episodes, do you really,
Because as I said, I think they do it just
to pass me off.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
So hang on.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
So there was a day where you came in and
you were infiniteff because you spent the day redoing this
full thing wearing the outfit.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Yes, was that that episode? Yes, okay, I have to
watch that. I want to watch it tonight. I'm going
to watch that tonight.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I'm gonna text my wife and funnily and because I
didn't realize that, and then one of the locals in
our apartment buildings said, I saw you on television last night.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
There you go, Oh yeah, what was that for? And
she said broken Wood? Very good, very good.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Okay, you've gone up and put in the esteem of.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
May And now old mate, who's my sister and the show?
Oh yeah, Tracy, Tracy, she posted that yesterday. I think
that it was playing last night.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
So was that episode last night one of the most
jace heavy episodes ever?

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah, pretty jace heavy.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
Yeah, I've just missed my wife and tonight we're gonna
watch the last episode of Broken Wood Mysteries.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
But you know what, the issue is going to be.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Too long, that's what will be too scary.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
No, we country calendar and location location like a bit.
She'd be like, I like the show and we'll end
up watching Broken Yeah, you're well, because it's that same
demo it is.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Speaking it is I think.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Would you recommend it?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Though?

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Weirdly I have had quite a number of young people
that really enjoyed as well, were sitting there watching it
with the yes maybe Grandpearance. Look, it's you know, it's
a it's showcases New Zealand and Die New Zealand production,
and did have encourage all to watch it.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
