Speaker 2 (00:09):
For dogging four to seven every weekday on Radio dreck On.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Get a fellow Hella to your normal Hello.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Hello, good shit man, how you guys say your gene?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, I'm good that I've got a bit of a
saw back, to be honest, really bugging me.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Today, even more so after the show today carrying Kezy
Who's hangover?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I actually am real fucking hungover. Yeah, Like it's so
great because I spent four hours lying on the couch today. Yeah,
after you correctly pointed out that I woke up at
ten am. Yeah, one hundred percent. So I've got this
eyemask that I put on, and you keep the curtains closed,
and my wife got up and went to the German

(00:56):
was working in the other room, and I'd genuinely just
gone to the world. Wake up ten am? Holy shit?
How good?

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Isn't it amazing how long I hangover can last? What
you mean just being pieces well that you've had that?
So you are eating a reburger at three am in
bed not long after that, so you got yourself seven
hours sleep?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Not bad? Did you have a doze this afternoon? I
just still be absolutely cooked.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
What you'll find, and this is what I always found,
was actually the first day's henus and not great. The
second day is pretty shit, and the third day you're
really grumpy.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's what I find.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
See, I don't even get grumpy.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
The third I'm just tired.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
As I'm never puking, I never feel sick, and none
of that. I'm just I've been poisoned by excessive alcohol
consumption and my body just needs some time to work.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yes, that's a few days.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
I just it's going offline for a few and I
can't do anything else.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I'm the opposite of that. I don't get tired. I wish,
I get anxious. I wish I could sleep, but I don't.
If I hung over, I'll wake up at like six
thirty and then be awake till midnight that day.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, absolutely same here. It's it's horrendous.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I get really My wife hates I get really clinging
when I'm hungover. We've talked about that.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, because you know, you need a bit of love.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You're really vulner you just seed someone.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
You're walking around the house with your hoodie on like
your hood, your hood.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, I've got so this this is my hangover outfit
that I can work in, which is black track pants,
black hoodie. But like, yeah, you know, at home, I've
got an all green bum pants tracksuit bum pants, like
like you know, around the house tracking homeless. Yeah, cotton,
you know.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I mean, I can tell you and and deservedly so
I get fuck all sympathy from my wife if I'm hungover.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
My wife's actually quite good.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
GE's like, fuck you man, you're good. We tend to
you can go and get hammer in the next day.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
The other person will sort of carry the load of
what needs to be done around the house. Yes, because
it's quite mean if someone's hang over, let them go
and do shit. Yeah, exactly, sure, unless you take the
purce with it. But yeah, good night last night fellas.
That was our first radio was jes said, you enjoy
that man that I sit next to you. Oh, that's right,

(03:28):
we did. I did. I can say I didn't enjoy
it at all about one hundred and twenty awards, but
in keys of you're quite clear that it's ship and
that the enjoyable part is afterwards.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yes, as a question of why you bother going.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
And ship if you're a little tiny disruptor station like Hodu,
if you're fucking zib Or Zidim or the rock who
are massive. Yeah, it's great because you get you get
to all celebrate together with your giant team or the
big awards winning everything.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Yeah, it's quite funny scene. All the people go up
and you're just like Jesus Christ. I think there's five
of its.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Well, having said that, we actually did pretty well last night.
I thought we won three or four awards. But anyway, yeah, no, look,
it's award, doesn't it, And I mean it's fucking tedious.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
It sucks to be king or like not that you
guys drink, but it seems particularly cruel.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It suck.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, but at least at least last night was fast,
Like it was like boom boom boom. That was That
was a very fast radio award.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
It was two hours, yes hours.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
So it's the first one I've been to. I'll never go.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Again unless you're up for a biggie Umm.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Yeah, I mean out of cur I think you'd go
out of courtesy to the people that you work with,
that that do the work.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
That's where you go.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
But fucking hell, yeah, there are some things there like
oh my god, what some of the just I can't
say it because it will make those people feel bad potentially.
But in terms of the some of the categories, oh my.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
God, like a lot of recognizing the community radio.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
No, no, I like that stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
No, no, And I'll be honest with you the thing
I like the radio stuff. I like that stuff at
the risk you don't have to. I guess it's the
commercial side of it where you're like, it feels like
a separate thing.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yes, yeah, total.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
It's kind of like how at the Academy Awards they
want to separate out the Tech Awards from the Creative Awards,
you know, the actor and which I think is wrong
because then you're just separating people out.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
But it is.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
But I also think, yeah, because you're right, radio like
it should be the on the air and the execution
of campaigns, like outward facing stuff as opposed to.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, I'm just in favor of chopping the whole thing
right down, just sending it out in one email, even
straight to the I wan to be honest, it's the
most fun I've had a Radio Awards though.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, that's because making it funny because.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
You'd gone home early doors.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I was on the couch by ten pounds nine.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
That's pretty good going, Yeah, really good going. What time
are you on the couch, jays Er?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Well, I went to the gem on the way home.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
I didn't.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Yeah, I don't get home to probably eight minutes after
it finished. It took me longer to get out of
the convention center than it did to get home.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yeahd Were you a bit like, oh I wish I
was at the after party?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
No?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, not at all, and especially today wake it up,
you know? Yeah, absolutely, the whole racky.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Big Show week days from four on radio hiarckycky Big
Show Podcast.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
It's my fucking nightmare bit scenario packed with loud people
getting hammered no.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Thanks, sounds great to me, and I mean each to
their own. I made a point this year of there
are certain people in radio and or in any workplace
where you just don't want to get pinned down by
them having a yarn, and that I had a shocker
last year. And then the next day I was covering
in here and I got pinned down by about three
different people who are lovely, but it's just like, oh

(07:05):
my god, this.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Is yeah, I don't want to be having this chat.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Why am I not having chats with my friends and
everyone at hock and you know. And so this year
it was.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Far better, yes, because you didn't have that.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah, I didn't have that. Actually, me and males were
chatting and then one of those people came over really
and then just sort of took myles off to the side,
and then I was just like swim And then afterwards,
thanks for that.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
I I messaged the fellows at the Rock to congratulate
them on their win. Yes, big fans of the show,
they said to say, fellas, they love what you do.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
They'd like to catch up with us.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Fucked And I said, look, I have a chat to
Keysy about it, and Keesy will be keen. But I
see Jace would rather be dead. Yeah, that's been come
out for a beer of coffee with you. Don't take
it personally. Yeah, he feels that way about everyone.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
I mean, it's not inaccurate.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Well, I know for a long time Matt and Jerry
they catch up with the Morning Rumble Boys once a
year for a bit of a blowout.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
And and who doesn't turn up Roger that's right, he
just won't.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
He's our rog.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, totally. They catch up for a Christmas.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
One, yeah, which I think is great.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I think it is great. Yeah, totally.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I I messaged Corby last night because I thought he
did a good job. Well he said, and he said, yeah,
she's a fucking marathon.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
So slick though, but yeah, it's just bang bang bang
bang bang bang. Because I was forguring because they was
so all of the presenters actually very good and very good,
and I was like, how the funk are they? Where's
the Yeah, it was fucking way at the back of
the behind us, and I was like, Jesus, that's pretty
bloody impressive.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
There was one fella there that helped present the awards.
I can't remember what station he was from, the Maldi
guy the gate was.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
He was so slick man was amazing.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, and was said to Pugs a few times like
this dude fucking is so.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
We should actually try and talk to that. I want to,
which it was otherworldly. His voice. Yeah, very very incredible.
I don't think he worked.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
He was a radio radio New Zealand maybe Yeah, it might.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Be anything a Pacific political politically, he's a political commentator.
I don't know that he's a presenter.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I know he absolutely is.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
If he's not, oh my god, yeah yeah, he was sucking.
The other guy that was awesome was the guy from
Northland more f m D who did last year. He did,
but like in this room full of people in suits
and you know, big shot, famous so called celebrities, this
this Mary follow with dreads. He's like fifty or something,

(09:43):
comes down and just cracks everyone up on stage, just
like I was at the bus stop this morning and
now I'm here in this room with I was like,
he was brilliant as well great talent.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
He was great talent.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
You're researching that guy, I am.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
I'm trying to find him all the wan who knows
who was presented to tell you that.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, we'll see us next week. But yeah, I enjoyed that.
Well now you hated it, No, I enjoy talking about it.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Oh right, yeah yeah yeah, and I can I just
say big Sandy's.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Oh my god. On the Day Show, she won Best
New Broadcaster and she had to write into the Radio
Awards and get them to change their policy because you
were allowed to you had to be under the age
of thirty and Becker is almost fifty, that's right, And
so she wrote she got them to change the rules
and she won it.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
That fucking it was pretty good. Yeah, that's really so good.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
That's the best award. We won't I reckon?

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Oh for sure? Fuck you Yeah no, no comparison

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, hey show four or seven week days Radiohardugy
