Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yes, they're dog handlers. Yes, and they listen to the
Big Show all the time apparently, and they sickballs and
they footballs fellas. It's it's interesting that you know, my
family doesn't listen to the show, but.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
But your wife does. Only does she does. She's often
takes in the show, begging you.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
If she's driving home from work, but she's no longer work,
she's like, whatever, yeah, losers.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
For some reason, I had it in my head that
she sits at home listening to the show. No, right, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So it's like when she was driving home from works,
said careful, my wife's driving home from work now.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah yes, Whereas now you were stoked because it's just
no holds barred, you said, and actually you could finally
start speaking the truth.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Weird? How weird is this?

Speaker 1 (01:31):
We've been going what a minute and my throat is
already beginning to hear it And that's from the lack
of speaking in my week off.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
It is good, though, isn't it like not speaking for
a week?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
It's great, it's great, but it's hurting, right. You take
to be more concerned about it. Yeah, okay, where you
go them?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Logie's got handfuls of throat.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I haven't got handfuls. I've got this one because I
forgot my four boxes I've got at home.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Have you still got a throw to shoe?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I've got to throw to shoe? Kids. You can probably
probably said a little bit nasally, yeah, yeah, just a bit,
yeah probably. But I've worked out what it is and
I think I'll be good by the end of the week. Wow. Okay,
so that's good. That's a real positive role, mate, Know
what it is. I've been overdoing the otrovan.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Ah three days max, but I have.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Been to following that. Yeah, but then I was like
last night, just a running nose, but the soreness had gone. Yeah,
I just said a really running nose. But everything else
was feeling good except for that. And then I was like,
I can't be in bed with a running nose or not.
I want a good sleep. Otrevan bang sore throat instantly, Wow, instantly,
sore throat. And there's been so all day to day.

(02:41):
So just got to get off at Jason.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You know, yeah, sure, because is there anything Is there
anything more annoying than lying in bed with someone sniffing?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I can think of a billions so many more.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
That's up there for me. What about if someone's sitting
with something and going.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Oh, yeah, who was doing in that? My wife hates,
absolutely hates, especially there's a place in your nasal passage
where she goes, blow your nose. But it's like, well
it's not really, it sits back in your head, you
know what I mean. It's just like I think I
can just blow my nose.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
You can't.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Easier for me to go.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
We hit someone. I don't know whether it was outside
our apartment or next but we never hear anyone out
next door doing the big throaty like he did it
once and it was a really fleamy, meaty bastard, and
my wife and I were in bed and we were
both like going, oh, that's gross, but he did it

(03:42):
like four or five times.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Are not the fund The good thing with that is
you have to get the flem out man, and the
best way is to spit it out.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
And the best way to do it is stand out
on the street outside your window.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Honestly, outside Jase's apartment. What's your addressing is the best place.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Number one pilgrimage spot people from all around the world
go outside Joe's.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
And I'll tell you what. I either do that or
they have a guard themselves.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Having Speaking of taking, speaking of taking, like not meds,
but stuff that you shouldn't take too many of. I
did that very thing last night, mogie with quickes, with
Quickies lozenges.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Do you get what's it called acid reflux?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I get terrible, Yeah, terrible, six doublings reflux, And and
I was just pounding them last night when we went
to the comedy show, and I was like, I probably
shouldn't have too many.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Of these, were you? Gee?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
And then I got home last.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I was I was, and I was getting like stabbing
pains in my kidney.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
This has been a week since I've heard this.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
And I was like I wonder if it was all
those pound terrible for you. Yeah, and they were not
the chalky sort of ones you normally get, but like
a little cube one.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, if you want, If anyone have a doesn't, I've
got about.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Four left handfuls of them. What does the rested flux feel.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Like, Bernie, I don't know if.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Get stuck quite high like a burning chune. You know
the ads where you see the cut through of a person,
you know, the diagram of a person, and there's a
beating red throbber in the middle of the.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, it's pretty nailed it.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Man comes with like a white liquid come and sprays
down there down the throat.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I suffered through that for so.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Long, a fireman, pump and seman.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, but then I went, what a change, fell massive
acid in my chest all the time, and then gave
uscan that it was a bomb.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
So so did you get did you get it from
your ye? Did you get it from and fire woman?
Did you get from the sex dumplings?

Speaker 1 (06:01):
No? I get it all the time.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Right, it's just just being what'd you get into your forties? Man?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Gabuskne A is the.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
It's right, you reminded me. I used to be scilling
that ship all the time.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
All the time from you, Mogi, because you were doing it.
Went I'm going to give that a cray.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
It's so good.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
That's bloody great.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
It's amazing stuff. I haven't had that for a while.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Fucking good couple.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I haven't need it. I mean, yeah, God, we've always
had something to complain about. I didn't want to fuck her.
Now that's good stuff. It was the whole Archy Big
Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchymer the Warky
Big Show podcast. That was the comedy last night great,
really good, really really good, genuinely really good.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Because I was a I was like, God, award ceremony,
long night, the radio awards, fucking bang on and on
and on. This was the second half, which was the awards.
Last there was a musical performance from Two Hearts, very
very good, and then there was like fifteen minutes of
awards and it was done.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
It was fantastic because I was thinking the same thing.
I was like, fuck of these awards, bang on for
two halves, Mogie. I'm not a fan of the intermission.
I'm like, just get it fucking done. And but yeah,
two Hearts and then it wasn't even yeah, probably about
ten fifteen.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
I was a little bit of fucking around a tiny chat,
but thank fuck for that.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
And it was good.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
It was really good, really good because it was the
five finalists for the Billy t s Up and Comer Award,
which was quite interesting, and then it was the three.
We're just interesting because it's these people that are just
like on the cusp of becoming probably a household comedian
name in New Zealand, but have been the guy that
won it Big Sandy's who used to book a lot
of gigs for comedians. She was saying, he's been doing

(07:47):
comedy for ten years, right, and he won the up
and Coming Award, right, you know. But she was also
like I saw Hi when he first started, totally different
to now. And the thing I loved about him is
so the judges were there too, and there's a group
of about ten judges. I'd say, Jase, maybe I don't know, yes,
one of whom was Susy Cato, right, mother of the Nation.
Well you know, she certainly raised me and a lot
of other people in my age. And this guy won

(08:08):
the Jilly. This guy went out there and had five
minutes to impress the judges and he did five minutes
solid on eating ass.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Right, and he does not look like was loving it.
She was loving it.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
She was like Carpi, Ihua, more of that please? And
he won it. And I was stuck because he made
me laugh the most. It was very funny and he
just would not stop coming back to that same job.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, I wonder if I might have seen that guy.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I pick shouted to him because he made me laugh.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
On the on the INSS today.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Carreos won the Chreos won the the Fred, the Fred.
Yes he never won that AJS.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Well they didn't. It didn't exist when I was doing
comedy Fred Degg, Well Fred did, but the award didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
I'm just filthy that we never got five.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Grand from the Billy Tea Award.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, we didn't get Deadly Ship.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
What did you get four shillings.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
About deadly Ship? Did you get Deadly Ship?

Speaker 1 (09:05):
I mean I didn't get my boy. I didn't get
my tail till twenty years later.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
And then you didn't give a fuck about it.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
And it's a rock.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I was twenty six years like now it's framed in
my lounge full.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I was actually thinking about this the other day, Jason,
what the billy teas things that are framed in your house?

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
And you remember, of course, Casey, there are a few
years ago I got your worries, usually which I have
since lost. Oh gee, so I got you a school card,
a scorecard. Yes, And it occurred to me when I
was lying, lying awake for some reason or another the
other night when we were out at your place for dinner.
I didn't see it on the wall anywhere. No where
is it.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
It's in story.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Disgraceful downstairs.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
There's a feud in storage. Actually yeah, And can I
just say on that front that was my wife's doing.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I bet it was. I have absolute you, no doubt.
I would hope that you would take a stand, but
I know the power of a wife.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
I just went okay, and she's like, where are we
going to put this? And I was like, we can
put it in the back. She's not a scorecard, no,
And I was like, come on, man.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
We're fighting the fight. Do you know I had I
had dinner with a mate. Dinner with a mate. That's
not true. I went to a mate's place for fucking
for New Years. I had dinner with a mate and
we're outside even eats of beers, and that it's my
first time having been there. Great mates of mine, both
of them and were sort of look at the house
and we were sleeping in the sleepout. Now in the
sleepout they had sort of like these old rock and

(10:34):
roll posters, and there was a Johnny Cash and a
Bob Marley and a Kurt Cobaine and all these sorts
of things. They had a bit of style, and I
was like, it's really cool what you've done out there.
I was like, yeah, man, it's like, you know, we
just wanted to give it its own sort of style,
you know. Anyway, over the course of the conversation, it
became a parent that his missus had moved into the house.
He was already living there, had slowly been moving. He goes, oh,
you know, this one used to be at the bottom

(10:55):
of stairs, and I loved it there. But missus was like, you.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Know, what to be looks really cool.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
And I was like, and he's a little bit younger,
I said, you know what's happened here?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Man?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
He's like what I was like, your missus here, who
was sitting there with me and my missus. She doesn't
like any of these being in the house. That's why
it's all now out in the No no, no no.
We decided to be really cool to sit up. And
I said to his missus, tell me I'm wrong. You're
telling me that you haven't deliberately slowly got all of
these things that he absolutely loved out of his house
and put them in the shed. She said, that's one

(11:24):
hundred percent yes, and he was devastating. He thought it
was a decision that they'd made together and had absolutely
nothing to do with about.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
And that happens in every single absolutely it does all
my I had gaming posters and I had I think
I talked about I had fridge magnets with old cars
on them, and then I came out and my wife
had put them on my toolbox. She said, oh, those
look cool on your toolbox in the garage. I was like, oh,
I had a cool carb.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
When I had the hangman come, I remember that guy
that came and hung my hung up.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
All your posters.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah, the hangman.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Why are you still plugging it? We did like an
hours with.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
A couple of hours. But yes, it's probably good chair
on that. Yeah, But I mean discovering been stitched.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Where Mogie's got his one makes sense. It's in the
toilet in his office only for guys to look at
if they're standing up peeing, whereas women don't see it
because it's behind them.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yes, that my wife, my wife, Kevin haven't seen that.
She goes, Oh my god, that will looks so good
in your office, So I know what you're doing.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
And also on that front, like at our family batch,
my wife's given her father and partner various pieces of art,
photos and stuff like that, always in the spare room
in the main lound. It just always in the spare room,
and you know she's quietly save.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
The fun thing to do is to keep on giving
really terrible pieces.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Of where they can put them.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Yeah, you got in your house.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Keysy, Yes. Starting to thing we do now is whenever
we go overseas, we try to bring home a print
or a piece of art. So we've got something from
the Tate Modern in London, and.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
We've got another one it must have been Experience.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
League.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Another one from a gallery in Croatia that we were
just a print shooting gallery. We can't yeah, shooting gallery. Yeah,
Heroin good to be back. Listen to the Big Show
