Speaker 2 (00:05):
Get up even closer. On Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Or Raw Doggy.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Four to seven every weekday.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
On Radio Hodak.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
G'day, fellas.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Backbone.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hello.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Here we are again, eh?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Eh? Another day. Deja voodoo.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Another $ 10, 000.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Are you recycling your joke from out there, Jase?
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
That's no good, man.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Oh, didn't you say that earlier before I got there?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yeah, you said it.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yeah, nice.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
Sort of, you know, creating this facade that I get
$ 10, 000 a day.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Per show? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Fucking hell. And on the weekend?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Because what he actually said was, another day, another dollar.
Nobody said anything, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Just.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Do you know what it's like out there? Indifferent. Especially
when he starts talking. Indifferent. And then he was like,
I mean, $ 10, 000.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
And then one person looked up.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Oh, that was me. I was like, yeah, this guy
gets it.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
And then he was like, fuck, here we go.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
This is gold, man. He's like, this is gold.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
He got a little notepad out and wrote it down.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Get on the potty. And here we are, man.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Look at us, man.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
Boom.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
I fire it off at the start there and we're
on to a winner.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
We're off to a flyer.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
We're absolutely killing it, man.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I got... Quite a funny situation earlier today.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Forget the situation. They got me face in.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
It was 10.30.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
In the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Early, right?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
And I decided I was having lunch at 10.30.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Because we should point out that Chris Key is a
hungover piece of shit. Yeah. We need to point that out.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I take that for granted most days.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
But this is for the audience. We know. Yeah, totally.
But you have to explain to the audience. You've got
to set it up. Yeah. It's part of radio, James.
Keezy is a hungover, what was it?
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Piece of shit.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Fellas, come on, man.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
You just have to look at him when he walks
in the door and you know.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
It's the hooded eyes.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Oh, the text machine today was a disgrace. Today? A
little chat room, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh, our group chat.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was really bad, man.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, was it?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah. So what did you have at 10.30 a.m. for lunch?
It's at 10.30 a.m. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I wanted a burger. Remember how I messaged the group
and was like.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Trying to get us to get you burgers.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Re-burgers. I messaged the group and I was like, Pugs
shouts the fellas re-burger for lunch with his company credit card.
And he says, sure, but you have to make some
content around it.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Well, we're doing that right now.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
But like visual, you know, social was his thing. And
then I was like, oh, fuck, I really want a
burger just to cure it, you know, just to boom,
drop a burger on top of your hangover. Re-burger not open.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oh, no.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Well, 10.30, to be fair.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I had to go to a competitor.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
A direct competitor.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
So I'm pulling into the car park of this direct competitor.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Car park?
Speaker 2 (02:53):
It's a car park. Not a drive-thru? No, a car park.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I believe you.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
The only other thing in this car park is takeaway joints, right?
So it's literally this one car park in West Auckland
where there is like 10... takeaway joints.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
I know the place.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Do you?
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, you probably do actually. I pull in there and
there's this dude, this young backbone and a gold Ford
Laser from the 90s with no hubcaps on it. And
I'm driving past and he pulls, I'm like, what's this
dude doing? As I'm going past him, he looks at
the window at me and shakes his finger at me like,
What are you.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Doing, Casey? You can't go to Reburger, mate.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
And I was like, straight away, I was like, oh, fuck,
here we go. Like, this is literally, like, unhealthy food
alley where I am right now. Everyone that pulls in
there knows what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, totally. Everyone's hungover.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Everyone's hungover. Everyone's getting a big feed of shit food.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
And so I drive around the block there and park
up and go inside. I'm like, okay, this backbone hasn't
seen me, which is good. And I'm sitting... I get
there to pick up my order. It's not ready yet.
I haven't even started cooking it yet. So I have
to sit there for 10 minutes. And I'm just sitting
there and then I just hear this like, do-doosh, do-doosh.
(04:09):
And this prick is driving past in his car yelling
do-doosh at me. And I'm just like, fucking hell. I
just want to have my shameful hungover food.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
In peace.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
In peace, yes.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Where are you sitting at this moment?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Like I strategically sat like further in the restaurant waiting.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Right. And he drove past.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
He crept past slowly.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Outside.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Outside going.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Shouting it out the window.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
But I couldn't hear. I was like, fuck, that sounds
like someone saying to do. I look out there. It's
just the back of the Ford Laser. I'm just like,
fucking let me eat my burger first, all right?
Speaker 1 (04:44):
And then give me shit. That's two days in a
row that somebody has just done you. Yeah, man.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
It's like I've got to walk around with a big
sign saying do me.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
But, like, when you're feeling vonies and pretty ashamed.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Having your finger waved.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
And, yeah, someone's like, hey, Keezy. And then I was
picturing them like, oh, get a photo of Keezy at
the competition.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Oh, Keezy should be at Reburger. Yeah, yeah. Oh, Barry. Oh,
God almighty. What a shitter.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
What are they doing over there?
Speaker 5 (05:16):
People urinating on his property and deducing him.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
What have you guys been up to, man?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Oh, g'day, Matt.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Oh, hi, mate, yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Look, if you want the chance to win all our
on-air competitions and stuff and get amongst the live conversation,
tune in to the Hauraki Big Show, four to seven
weekdays on Radio Hauraki and iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
The Hauraki Big Show podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Had a bath last night there, Fields.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Yeah, good stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Good stuff. Yeah. Pretty good stuff, a bath, isn't it there, Fields?
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah. I reckon you would have bathed for 15 minutes.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
No, I made about half an hour. I was reading
a book.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
I was reading a book, John Tugard's book.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You're really tired, man.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
I didn't think I was. That was a pretty good yawn.
Until Casey's yarn started. Until your yarn made me hungover.
I think I've caught your hangover. And since then, I've
just been working pretty much. Oh, I watch you more alone. Yeah.
Watch you more alone. I won't talk about it on
the show because I think people get sick of you
talking about the same old shit. But old mate, we've
(06:35):
just had the Christian fella.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
He's lost a fair amount of weight, I've got to say.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, he's a pretty skinny bastard.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
But he's got to 40 days and 40 nights, which
means he's exactly like Jesus Christ. Yeah. And he's been evacuated. Yes.
A medical evacuation where, of course, Jesus went to. on
to die for all of our sins and save us
yes yeah right that's kind of where the similarities between
jesus and this guy ends.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yes 40 days and 40 nights that's how long the
great flood.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Lasted they went into the desert for 40 days and.
Speaker 5 (07:09):
40 hours from recollection that guy basically didn't get any food.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
He had one fish yeah and just starved himself for
40 days he To be fair to him, he was
pretty upbeat.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
He was.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
He was.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
He had the good Lord with him, man.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yes, that's right.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
100% because he had the good Lord with him. It's
an amazing thing to have if you can have the
good Lord.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
But they have that smile, generally speaking, the people that
have the good Lord, don't they? They've got that look
about them. A certain type of religion has it, not all.
But he certainly had it. He was thrilled. So he
just starved himself for 40 days and went home.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Isn't that interesting? There's a guy starving himself for 40
days in the wilderness.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
And there's another dude.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
And there's another guy in West Auckland.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Yeah, yeah, hammering a burger massively hungover.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
At 10 a.m.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
And a deep pit of shame.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
That's right. And I know which one I'd rather be. Yes.
And then there's the guy who's catching fish and eels left,
right and centre.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Oh, yeah, the old fella.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, and he's great. I really like him. But I'm
on a cliffhanger with him. Yes. In that he's got
horrendous gout. Yeah. Oh, seafood. Yes. Because he gets it
really bad anyway. Yeah. But I don't think he'd made
the connection. But he's been eating eel every single day.
He gets gout.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Which is pretty rich, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (08:25):
It's one of the richest seafood you can have. And
his ankle is just massive. Absolutely massive. But now the medic,
because I get checked up regularly, so now the medic
boat's on the way to see him and he's hoping
that they're not going to find out. Right, yeah. Because
he doesn't want to get evacuated. He wants to tough
it out. But it's very, very funny.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
It's really good, that show, because that's another element of
drama in it is when the medics come out and
a lot of them are like, I know I'm fucked. physically,
so I just hope I can bluff my way through
this bullshit.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, mentally I'm all good, but yeah. The religious guy
was quite happy to go home, but the numbers are
thin and pretty quick now. It takes a while, but
then they start dropping like flies. It's quite interesting because
it's all around the same amount of time. Yes. But
I'm enjoying it.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Who would last the longest out of us?
Speaker 1 (09:19):
I've got no practical skills at all. Really, I've got none. Jase,
you've held a fishing rod for longer than any of us,
but I've probably caught more fish than you, even though
I've never been fishing.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
I would... Genuinely, I reckon I'd last maybe two or
three nights.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
I think you'd last the longest because you've got the
most beef on your bones.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, you've got a massive ass.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
You've probably got five, six years in you.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
You've got layers of hungover burger fat on you.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
I'm like a camel. I store it all the way
in my ass.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
You've got all the burgers around in your ass.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Well, actually, just on that front, a lot of contestants
do that in the show where they beef up massively.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
They do the show so they can burn X amount
of fat before they get down to the nitty gritty.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Are the contestants allowed to, like, link up?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
No.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Because if we did it, you guys could all come
and eat my ass.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
I'd go home.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
I think I'd go home.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yep. It depends where you went. I think if I
went to that place, I'd be in a world of trouble.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Same.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
I think the only thing keeping– like, I do watch
a lot of, you know, camping stuff.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
And I reckon I could probably go two or three,
and then I'd be fucked.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Two or three days? Yeah. Well, you could do that
just if you were lost. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
True, true.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
But, you know, a lot of people get there.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Do you get a tent?
Speaker 3 (10:45):
A lot of people, no.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Yes, you do.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Oh, yes.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
You get like a wet weather cover, mats and all
that sort of shit. You get a basic setup. But the,
what do you call it there, the shelters they build
are fucking amazing.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Oh, some of them are not in that particular series.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
The fireplaces, they're building these fireplaces out of rock and
it's like they're fucking... Proper, proper fireplaces.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Yeah, right.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Inside there. Yeah, they're amazing.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
That one.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I could do that. I'd be fucked.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Alone International.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Some of the dwellings they built were fucking phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Is that before this one or after it? After. I
really like it.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, it's good.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
It is.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
And my daughter likes it.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Shay's still there?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Shay's still there, mate. Yes, good. He's doing it.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Good stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Which is annoying now because you're telling me that he
hasn't won it, which is annoying for me. No, no.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
No, no.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
No, I'm not telling you that at all.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Well, you kind of have, you're right.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
No. You know what I mean? Fuck, that's ruined the
whole thing. But the only ones left other than that is,
you know, a woman.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Who's really good.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
She is really good.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
She's the one that got the wallaby.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Battered it over the head with a rock, Keezy. Would
you be able to do that?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
A wallaby?
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Yeah, if you were looking to make 250k, could you
smash Horty J over the head with a rock?
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Skin them and then eat them up. Fuck yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
What part would you start with?
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Oh, don't give me that look, you filthy bastard.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
That's creeped me out.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I'd eat that and then get gout. Because it's so ripped.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
You'd get a smoker's cough.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
This is the big show, full seven weekdays. You know
the drill.
