It has been announced New Zealand will have its very first Medicinal Cannabis summit – MedCan 2020 will take place in March. This will line up with New Zealand’s Medicinal Cannabis Scheme, which according the Ministry of Health, will be operating in the first quarter of next year, with regulations made by December. The summit is set to inform on Medicinal Cannabis, but we can do one better – we’ve talked to Dr Shaun Holt about the issues involved. Dr Holt is a medical doctor, researcher and adjunct professor at Victoria University in Wellington.  He is widely regarded as an expert in the science behind natural health products. He’s also the founder and science director at HoneyLab, a pharmaceutical company developing medical products from natural resources.
