Speaker 1 (00:07):
You're listening to the Wellington Mornings podcast with Nick Mills
from News Talk sed B.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, we're very lucky on the show Wellington Mornings to
be joined by one of my comrades. Do I call
him a comrade. He works for the same organization one
day a week that I do, and he's arrived into Wellington.
We're joined by the resident builder himself, Peter Wolfgamp. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Oh it's a lovely description, comrade. I haven't heard that's
for a long time.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, we're both working men, aren't we.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Well, we do, we're working. Then you're absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Now tell us what you got to look forward to
if you are going to show up to the Wellington
Home and Living Show at Henry Stadium this weekend, which
I am. By the way, all.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Good stuff you've been at Home Living Show on started today.
I'm going to be down tomorrow. So the part of
the show is that there's an opportunity to sort of
basically meet the experts. And I don't know how that happened,
but I'm one of them, and so I'll be talking
a little bit about building legislation and so on tomorrow.
But there's a range of experts and obviously, there's also,

(01:12):
you know, the opportunity to engage with people who have
the particular products, their crafts, their services. So you know,
if you're interested in double glazing, you can have a
look at that. There'll be paints from Razine. There's everything there.
And by the way, the tacos are particularly good, and
the coffee is always awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
You can't beat a fish taco, Peter, can you.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I would agree with you wholeheartedly on that.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
You know, just you just mentioned Razine because I'm braying
because I'm painting my own house at the moment, and
it's a stucco house, so I'm using a paint croisine
called X two hundred. Do you know anything about that.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I'm delighted you are using X two hundreds because I've
rushed to correct you if you weren't so perfect products
for that. And look from my point of view, you know,
I think what we're starting to see is there's so
much choice, right, and people don't necessarily need they don't.
I'm not aware that the system. So you know, it's

(02:08):
often a combination of the right seiler, the right first coat,
the right top coat to get a really good outcome.
So for you there'd be a combination of elements that
would go together, and you're finishing it off with the
X two hundred and that extends through to you know
other you know, if you're tiling, for example, there's a
waterproofing and adhesive and a ceilant and a grout. All

(02:29):
of these things have to work together. And wandering around
inside Henry Stadium is a perfect opportunity for people to
sit down with someone who's an expert and go, Okay,
what do I need to do? Where do I start?
What's my middle bit? And how do I get that
job finished?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
People?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
If you if you are walking down because you're a
bit of a star around this country. I mean, you
know everyone knows you from your TV shows, from your
show on radio. You know you're a star. If people
tapped you on the shoulder and ask you a question,
what would you would you? Would you be okay? Answer it?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Oh you're one hundred percent. And I love being at
the show. Wellington's one of my favorite places to be.
Fare what I do? So I go down your ease,
I find a nice cafe and there's plenty of those.
I pop into add and Vintage, a little mid century store,
and I chat with the owners for about half an
hour and then I come on down to the stadium
and hang out for a couple of hours. So yeah, no, look,

(03:20):
if you see me, tap me on the shoulders say hello.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Okay. Well, I also run a restaurant in cafe, a
restaurant and cocktail bar, so Grace will tell you. I
won't say it on there because I won't give it
a free plug. Grace, Grace, I'm not over for breakfast,
but I'm open with your finished work and you want
a cocktail you on your way home, so Grace will
tell you where that is and we'll catch up. Thank
you very much for coming on the show. Have a

(03:44):
great trip to Wellington when you come down tomorrow. And
I hope that a lot of people go and have
a look at Wellington Better Home and Living show because
there's nothing quite like actually smelling it, touching it, and
for the food part, tasting it is there.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
And Nick, I also know for a lot of the
people who are at these shows, and I see them
at any number of shows, this is a big part
of their business right So right now it's supporting local
business that's really important. So come along, open your wallet,
talk to some people. Go home with some great products.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well, we're about to give five hundred dollars to someone
actually boom and about twenty five to thirty seconds, so
there's going to be some excited people. Catch you on
the rebound. I appreciate you taking the time.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Appreciate the support. All right, chatting.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
The resident builder on news Talk said he's on news
Talk se Be between six am and nine am on
Sunday Peter Wolfkemp.

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
