Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, Bechdel Cast listeners. Don't you always just find yourself thinking,
I want to celebrate my favorite podcast, The Bechdel Cast,
But how.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Well it could be with a live show that we
are doing in Los Angeles? Ever heard of it? On
March second, at seven point thirty at Dynasty Typewriter.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Pacific Standard time.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
If you're in the Los Angeles area, if you're in
Southern California in general, there's no excuse to not be there.
We're giving you plenty of notice. But maybe you're thinking,
I'm a huge fan of the Bechdel Cast, but I
don't live there. Well, we've got you covered, because there's
going to be a live stream of this very show,
which is called a Bechdel Cast Celebration.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
We've been wanting to do this for a long time.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
We had plans to do a five year show, but
there was this thing called COVID nineteen getting in the way.
We've wanted to just do a variety show with some
of our favorite past guests of the show and where
we can just talk about important takeaways that we've made
during the show, like Alfred Molina, Paddington and other men.
(01:07):
But it'll be his wife, but it'll be a blast.
We are going to announce guests soon. And yes, if
you are interested in watching Dynasty Typewriter I think truly
has my favorite live stream setup in the goddamn country.
You will feel like you are there, and it won't
smell like you're there.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I don't know. I just said our listeners smell bad.
That's not true.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
We love you now, we smell bad.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
We smell bad. It's gonna reek. Are we doing substance cosplay? Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yes, Now the third question you might have, wait, Caitlin Jamie,
isn't that the night of the Oscars. Yes, but but
it takes place immediately after the Oscars. So if you're
going to an Oscars party, or if you're going to
be watching the Oscars at home as a film appreciator,
(02:00):
a live stream ticket, or if you're in the area,
drive on over after the ceremony wraps up, because we
are going to be not just celebrating the Bechdel cast,
but doing a little post mortem about the Oscar race
this year, which has been totally not messy at all
and extremely normal.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
And very good. Actually, yes, so yes, you can grab
tickets either for the live show in person in La
at seven thirty pm Pacific or the live stream, which
it'll just depend on what time zone you're in for that,
but both tickets are available on our link Tree, link
(02:41):
Tree slash Bechdel Cast, as well as the website for
Dynasty Typewriter. So scoot over there, grab your tickets, get
ready to celebrate with us, because it's been eight four years,
but mostly eight years of the Bechdel Cast, mostly eight years,
and we want to celebrate with past guests, with each other,
(03:03):
with our listeners, with everyone.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
And the last thing that I want to mention is
that if you already had tickets to this show, this
is being rescheduled from a date in January. We rescheduled
due to the Los Angeles fires, and we're going to
be donating proceeds from this show to victims of the fires,
specifically the families of Alta Dina that have lost everything
(03:30):
as a result of these fires. So you know, grab
a ticket, it's your money's going to a good place.
And if you don't want to come, donate to families anyways.
For crying out loud, please, but we're very excited to be,
you know, having this show sort of a little bit
after because sustained support of these families is going to
be critical. And yeah, we hope to see you there.
(03:52):
If you're a matron, you get a little treat from us.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Take that. We will see you there, or we'll see
you on the computer.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Bye bye bye
