Speaker 1 (00:01):
Will acme v Coyote or vice versa. Bring Bugs Bunny back?
Is bug Bunny in that one?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I feel like he might he must be a cameo.
He's gotta be a cameo post credit scene or something. Wait,
so what happened?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
It's back out? Like they finally released it. It's coming out,
this video coming out, okay? Can I saw people posting
and I wasn't sure, like if these are just memes
people are doing or if it were out now, if
it were out, it might be. People were like, I
can't believe they didn't release this. It's so fucking good.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, gotten good reviews. I don't know. I had so
much trouble saying that fired up right there.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I got reviews kind of sound like a guy at
a local bar who's lying about seeing it.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
It's actually great.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
You don't say what he saw her the cut of
it back in twenty and twenty.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Street Yeah comedy with a seventy five on Metacritic.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Will Forte is the next Chaplain.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Will Forte. I believe Will Forte is the lead and
Will Forte is a favorite. Love me some Will Fortee.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
John Cena's in it. I know that.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
I mean what movie. Is John Cena not in at
this point?
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Not what I would see.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
I'll tell you that and Forte together, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
You're in trouble anyway. I'll see that. I'll see that.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I'll see that. MM of the current actors current wrestling actors,
got seen a Bautista the Rock who most likely to
win an Oscar bautistasina, not the Rock.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I'll tell you the Rock wasn't that drama last year.
I think he might be gunning for us.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
He's definitely gunning, but like everyone, I feel like there
people are just like, uh, you're too desperate, Like stop.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
It, man, that's a good question. Yeah, he I saw
that movie. It was sad, but it wasn't It was
just a sad story. It was he didn't do anything,
you know, he wasn't doing anything Oscar wig acting.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, he's like but he's got hair in this one
that I could hardly recognize him because he was wearing
those grouchow glasses. That's Oscar buzz baby. Yeah he was
rocking that fake nose and mustache.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, hear me out. What about if it's Dave Bautista.
But he's doing a reboot of Walk Hard, right? The
head the Rock Connectedn't it m walkhard? Not walk hard?
Walk walk The one.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
I like that was the one that's gonna get wait.
Walk hard was the Dewey Cock story. You know what
I said, is the Johnny Cash story?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, walking tall?
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah yeah yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
But was that Johnny Knoxville.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Rock was in it? I think so. I barely knew
the name obviously, But okay, Dave Bautista in in the Rocks,
roll in that movie whatever walking or lining they do.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
It was the first scene a movie where he It was.
It was real big, walking tall energy, like to the
point that when you just said that, I pictured the
John Cena movie where he's kicking everybody's ass and he
has long jeene shorts. Do you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I don't know the movie, but.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, remember seeing a trailer for it, Like hell yeah, man,
the marine was like this is who I am a
little bit about. I'm gonna kick your ass in jeene
shorts and they're.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Gonna be long.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Oh they're gonna be long, baby, so long you thought
I was into hip hop.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
You know, would be really insulting. Dave Bautista wins the
Oscar for starring in the Rock the story of the
Dwayne the Rock John.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah, I could say that, and.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Like it's all about how thirsty is.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Will give me a script that will win me a
damn war. That's a pretty good The Rock Honestly, Off
the cuff, I felt pretty pretty.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Good about when Bautista is doing. He's gonna be Kratos,
That's what I saw.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
That makes a lot of all.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
The nerds bro We're like, we got a war baby. Okay,
let's see. Oh that's a TV series. I think it's
not their movie.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
So he I feel like Bautista is being misused a
little bit. I feel like he's great in all these
just big action things.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Like Mama's House kind of situation.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
You took the words right out of my mouth. Myles
dress so funny when a big guy is in a dress,
something about it in America. Both about He's still Also,
I was like, this guy must have.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Came out of the fucking swamps of like the nether World,
and it's like, no, he he grew up in Washington.
He's just a real normal.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Like real normal guy. Yeah yeah, picture of him in
elementary school. He's built exactly the.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Same, Like it's like his first job as a toddler
was being a bouncer.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, damn, Catherine pointed out, if he asked Donald Trump,
you're correct, he came out of the swamp.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I mean DC is, I mean literally a swamp, so
that that does track. Okay, you're right, Catherine, you you've
made things right in my brain. Thank you again.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
That boy came out of the swamp.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
That boy came out of the swamp.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
So northwest d c Dave Fatista, he's never had a neck.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Hello the Internet, and welcome to season four fifty three,
Episode two.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Of Dirt Aiely's Eegeist.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
This is a production of iHeartRadio. It's a podcast where
you take a deep dive into America's share consciouness through
the day's news. We also have a new non news
history version of the Daily Zeikes trapping each Monday morning
called the Iconograph, where you do a deep dive into
the Zeikes through the lens of a different and he
guesses icon are gone? Are gone? Yesterday we dropped a
(05:56):
big one. Madonna Chaconi. I believe his house pronounced full
full name, Madonna Chickoni Junior. Her mother was Madonna Chaconi.
She was mcconay mcconna, Jaconi.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Matthew mccona, Junior Madonna, Okay, Matthew Madonna, Hey oh man.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
A lot of interesting stuff in the Madonna episodes, such as.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Her mom I didn't do that, realizing how devout that
home was. I'm like, oh, of course, yeah, yeah, yeah,
do all the catholic imagery. I get it for yourself.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Her mom preyed on her knees on uncooked rice to
create pain, like that's a it's like dipping your fists
in broken glass and just are kneeling on bricks to yeah,
kneeling on bricks. Yeah, just they did it because it hurts.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Stuff I thought was only for like Asian martial arts
people trying to get tougher. But again, you could just
be a little Catholic lady praying it.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Did not know she dated Basquiat, did not did not
know a lot of it, did not know. The song
Vogue was just like a b side off the Dick
Tracy soundtrack.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
That's the hardest I thought.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
That was a whole that was like a whole era
of nineties popular culture was the Vogue video, the Vogue
performance of the VMA's Everything Vogue, and it was just
like a loose single.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
If you asked me maybe two weeks ago what album
Vogue was on, I'm like, oh, that was on an
album Vogue.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
That was on Vogue. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Fucking Dick Tracy soundtrack or.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
What soundtracks soundtracks used to be such a such a
huge thing. I was also looking out because True Blue
was the top selling album of nineteen eighty six and
the top selling album of the eighties by a woman,
and uh, like I was. I was like eighty six
was a big year. It had like Whitney by Whitney
Houston and licensed ill from the BCT Boys, and like
(08:00):
the other top selling album was like top gun soundtrack,
just like people fucked with fucked with soundtracks Culture Baby
Mono culture Man. You can get the song on this
soundtrack with a bunch of instrumental music from the background
of a movie everybody's seen three hundred times. Right now.
It's Tuesday, August twenty fifth, twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Yep, it's a National banana split day. Has the birthday
like Aphet Mohammed. It's like that National secondhand Wardrobe Day
and the National Whiskey sour Day.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
All right, are all those tied together? In some way.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Definitely not the whiskey sour, and the birth of the
Prophet Maham probably would be considered haram.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
But whiskey sour is haram.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Whiskey sour with a banana split.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Banana split.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Now you're talking to me, how are I wearing secondhand wardrobe?
Speaker 1 (08:57):
All praise be. My name's Jack O'Brien an aka. I
love it when you call me ill Papa. Throw your
hands in the air, because the Pope's a true player.
That one courtesy of Kenrosaurus. We had a run of
episodes last week where we kept trying to rank the
top Papa's. It came up because Brandy was talking about
(09:19):
the Warped tour and how Papa Roach is making a comeback,
and I had to, of course shout out, Mike King,
Papa John, did you do the papas?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Did you do that? Like attorneys General? Are we recognizing
the Papa's Roach, the Papa's Roach, Papa's John, Papa's John,
Papa's Smurf, although there's only one Papa Smurf and only
one of the Papa except not really, because there's two popes.
Papa Shot made an appearance. What about Francois du Vallier
(09:48):
Papa Doc.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Papa Doc. We did not make an appearance, but I
did think of that after okay, well, I also thought
of after the fact, Papa's fritash Spanish for French Fries.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Taking liberties there with the form.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I even allowed Sofia to bring in human Papa Loma
virus take TV okay a little little, and yet we
did not come up with Big Papa Pig's first crossover
smash hit single, Big Papa. So that's on me. I
(10:24):
fucked up, and I apologize. Anyways, keep the Papas coming.
I think we got them all now, but maybe not
through it. To be joined as always buy my co host,
mister Miles Gras.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Yeah, fresh off a flight, Wreeking of Guyo Pinto, because
I love my breakfast dish of rice and beans, because
I was in Costa Rica, y'all where I shit. Yeah,
her majesty, we'd like to go out there and just
kind of be like remember that two what a d was,
Remember that pretty child? And then you also realized too,
(10:54):
like man, but that's not my aka anyways. The Lord
of Lord of Lnkerstam the Shogun with nok on the
North probably would find his Miles Graham here. But also
realize too, you know when you have when you have
these vacations with young kids, you don't have vacations anymore.
And people always say this, you know, all the time,
and I've been in I think I've been in denial
until this last one. I'm like, nah, bro, It's also
kind of like like a trip for me where I'm
(11:16):
not doing anything I want to do, and maybe I
can I can go out for twenty minutes when the
baby is asleep to have a beer and then run
right back and then tap out her majesty so she
can go do something. This was the first time I
was like, I have to put it. I was doing
this thing where I was trying to interstellars coming back.
I'm trying to think of if Matthew McConaughey on that ship,
(11:37):
would he have wanted to go on these little trips
and see every little bit and say it's not about me.
I want to see this child frolic and grow. And
now I'm say, this is the day I finally became president.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, the president of Dad's yep. I'll say I he
cried a lot, but he probably did not. He made
his choice.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
That's true. He's on the best trip ever.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
He's on a fucking he's going to space to save humanity.
And then yeah, it's all well and good to later
be like, oh I should I should I miss my home? Anyways, Miles,
We're thrilled to be joined in our third seat by
very funny comedian podcast author whose graphic novels include Hello,
My Name is Poop. He's the host of the Trollhole
(12:21):
podcast and his debut special Supple Harlot is out now
you should go watch it. Please, welcome back to the show.
It's Ben Kat's now.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Oh my gosh, Wow. Honored to be here.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
BK.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Broiler, thank you for honoring me. Papa's, those papa's I don't, yes,
but those papas. Shout out to Mohammad. Happy birthday to Mohammad.
We out here, we in here, we everywhere.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
I happy to teach news clips of this and like,
look at how American podcasts are even talking. They're celebrating
the birthday of the prophet Mohammed. That's right, Okay, this
is what's happened because of a san piker and whatever
the outrage d it's the w NBA and Hassan.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
That's exactly right.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Did you see the clip of the people at the
w NBA games. They were just interviewing the different sides
outside the game, like the people protesting against trans people
who don't play in the w n B A but
like just the concept that maybe one day they would
and then sure people counter protesting and the people protesting
(13:27):
about the sanctity of the w NBA. They were like,
can you name five w NBA players And they were like, sure, can,
Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Oh come on now I can.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
I can, but you've put me on the spot, Caitlin Clark.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
And these are the people who are saying like, I'm
protecting the sports.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
I'm protecting a sport from from trans from the possibility.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
What else do you do?
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I like to go outside of Denny's and protest them, sir,
a human meet? Yes, why they don't do that? Yeah, exactly,
So I just kind of god places and just protest stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
That are just the people who go from protest to protests,
taking inhumane position. And then they asked the counter protest,
the people who are like, get the fuck out of here.
You losers, and they were like, oh, well, of course,
it like went through dozens of names.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah, Like how far you wanting to start back like
that inaugural seas Lisa Leslie, how far you want to go?
You want to go up a little bit.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Anyways, Ben, we're thrilled to have you here. We're gonna
get to know you a little bit better in a moment. First,
we're gonna listen to a couple of things that we're
talking about today. We are going to check in with
what I think is like a perfect shot for a
horror movie. Did you see this video? It came out
last week, but it just caught my attention over the weekend.
The time lapse of the like vod rama senate floor
(14:56):
like it was earlier in July, ten days before McConnell disappeared,
and it's showing so it's time leapt so like people
are like buzzing around and Mitch McConnell is purely stationary.
He moves his hand like once, but otherwise he's just
not moving at all for like hours. It's really it's
(15:20):
fucking creepy like it is. It's like if you it's
it's a great shot for a horrormone like horror horror
directors like steal this ship. This is so good, like
just so chilling.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Like the same way people were like in Awe of
like monks who are self immolating in protest and not moving.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
The whole time. Yes, that's exactly.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
This is just an old man sitting in one place
and not on fire in doing any kind of protest,
just with his brain.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Even the guy who's sitting next to him, who is
the guy who pushes his wheelchairs like you know, moving,
stretching his neck, like turning his head every once in
a while, but he is staying unnaturally still like still.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, you're saying that he's like there's something wrong here.
I think our boy is locked in the fu. How
can I ruin the country today? You know, it's just
like focused on it.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
You know that's true.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
That could be in prayer, dude, deep in prayer, deep
in prayer, that it was.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
We'll talk about that. We'll ask the question, are these
Chinese robots too fucking fast? Too fucking fast, bro, I
think they're too fast man on these robots. Nope, they're
gonna don't like it, do not like it. I'm hitting
that big button that spins my chair around from the voice.
(16:34):
But I'm spinning away from these Chinese robots. No you.
We'll talk about that. We'll talk about the trade war
with Canada and just how knowledgeable people in the US,
people running the US are about Canada. We'll talk about
a fun new trend where people working for progressive values
(16:58):
are dressing up as some of our greatest fictional icons.
Darth Vader made an appearance over the weekend. Spider Man
made an appearance beating the shit out of a right
wing nazi Jake Lang, and yeah, it just jumped up
on that ship and was just throwing hands.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
So talk about that.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
We might even talk about one of the great songwriters
for movies that nobody has ever seen. Diane Warren made
some headlines this weekend, not having to do with losing
an Oscar. Usually it's like groundhog Day, where she shows
up once a year and is like, Hey, this is
my song in a movie that you're gonna have to
(17:39):
google to make sure it actually exists. It's nominated for
an Oscar. I'd really like to win this year, Academy please,
And then they're like, no, we're giving it to k
Pob Demon Hunters, like the most popular song ever. Anyways,
we'll talk about why she's.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
In the headlines.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
She adopted a cute little pig that went viral, all
of that plenty more. But first, Ben, we do like
to ask our guests, what is something from your search
history that's revealing about who you are?
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Okay, this is very vulnerable for me. The most recent
thing I've been searching is a Minnesota practice written drivers test. Okay,
that's what I've been doing. I unfortunately, I well not fortunately.
I just had a birthday and because of that birthday,
my license expired. Oh I had it?
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Oh yeah, forgot Yeah, mine expires in like three weeks.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Get that taken care of, because otherwise you're going to
be in like a cattle call with a bunch of
fifteen year olds who are trying to get their learners
permit or whatever. And it's tough. It's tough out here
as an adult man going in to be like, so
can I come in and take the test on Tuesday?
And they're like, well, is your mother going to be
with you? So I've been taking practice drivers test.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
I will say those practice drivers tests because I think
I had to do that. I remember having to do
this as an adult. I think it was when I
moved out to Los Angeles to get a California license.
You have to you have to take it, and I thought.
I went into the practice test being like, this is
gonna be like one of those you know when you
do a training at work and they and they give
(19:15):
you a quiz at the end of it, and it's like,
should he take the money, take the cash off his
boss's desk? Should he not take the cat? And you
just are able to purely and like easily into it. It.
These tests are not fucking around like they They have
some questions in there that are not intuitive whatsoever. And
(19:36):
I did not do well until I started reading up
on It was like a packet. It's not like you
have to read a full book, but it's it's tough.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I've been having my wife do practice test too, just
because she's getting a little smug about it. I was like, Okay,
get in there, let's see how you do.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
So you did know to put your hazards on after
an accident and pulling over to the side of the road, Okay, yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
I don' you know. I'm hoping I'm knowledgeable enough to
pass get my license updated. I'm guessing by the time
I'm done with this and the person I've become, my
wife will be like, Okay, now that you can drive,
will you drive away from me and never talk to
me ever again, because I think she's kind of sick
of my smug driving.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Next time she hits you with like the right answer
and a practice test, you just immediately clap back and like, okay,
name every player in the WNBA then, just because you're
worth rashing at some point for survival, so just you
might as well out of desperate.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Yeah. The thing that like that reminds the thing is
like the you know, multiple choice tests are like should
you stop fifteen feet before the thing, twenty feet before
the thing, thirty feet before the thing? And I was
always like, yeah, I'm just going to do the thing
that is the most like the most careful. Obviously it's
always going to be the most careful. And they're like, nope,
(20:55):
it was fifteen dumb, dumb.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
This is exactly what it's been getting me. And this
is why I'm a little bit nervous. The test is today.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I do have to talk what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
So I've been taking practice test for this and then
I'm just I'm just gonna we'll figure it out just.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
The person.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Is it okay to hit a progestrian in a crosswalk
or no? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
When I first passed my drivers, like the actual on
the road driver's test, I only passed because of the
corruption of the state of Kentucky because I like that
the person giving me the test was my basketball teammate's aunt.
And I fucked the town. I like was freaking out,
like speeding into curves for some reason because I had
(21:38):
read somewhere that like in a if you're in a skid,
like you have to apply uh, like you have to
speed up or something so the tires can grip. And
I was just like, I don't know. I freaked out
and I was like doing too much.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
And if you're in a skid during your driver's test,
I don't think you should. I wasn't, but I was
just in case. I thought I should steer hit the
gas as I was turning. But I think that's the
real test, like not to get too deep into the
low of this. That's the real test is like, oh,
do you really need to know how to drive or
do you need to know how to grease the wheel
(22:12):
to get the thing you need to legally drive. That's
what the test should be. Who cares if you can
take a left on a red light or whatever? Who cares?
Speaker 1 (22:20):
You Still don't know? Still don't know? All right, then,
what's something you think is underrated?
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Okay, something I think is underrated? I'm glad we were
talking about the WNBA. I'm gonna I'm gonna throw this
out there. Some people are gonna bleed this or agree
with this. The Minnesota Lynx basketball team is underrated in
the w NBA. I saw power ranking a little while ago.
The links my mind. You have the Rookie of the Year,
possible MVP candidate. They have generational players all over the place.
(22:48):
They have the feast scalar. You are coming back. They
are the best record in the league. They've won ships before,
they've come up from the last few years. But they're good, right,
They're an incredible team. I saw the athletic I think
power ranking they were number two behind the team that's underrated.
That makes no sense. I don't know how that happens.
I am not versed enough in whoever the writer was
(23:10):
to Also, I'm not the guy who's gonna go on
mine and be like, I know we're mad about a
lot of stuff right now, but the Links should be
rated higher, you know. But I just want people to
know that I've been watching the game, I've been seeing
the product, and I think people are still sleeping on
the Links. They're an incredible basketball team and everybody should
be watching what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
They got the best writ Yeah, I've just been watching
the Toronto Tempo because a kiky, because of my girl.
I have to. She's so good. But on such a
bad such a bad team, such a bad, bad team.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Where the Links the team where the coach was wearing
the T shirt that was like protect Transcads against the
fever and yep, yes, Seryl took it to them and
whooped their ass.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
She did something I think I would wonder if it
wasn't that topic or like that coach, like a coach
I like, I think I would have been mildly annoyed
because what she did was during it was like during
the warm ups she talked to like Sophie Cunningham who
has been saying all the incendiary stuff and like really
like kind of sunder and was like, we don't know
(24:16):
exactly what we're saying, but it was a very clear,
like opposing coach talking to a player in the line
in the like layup line and being like, I think
you're a bad person, which which is.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
We have different opinions here. I think you're a bad person. Yeah,
you should think about taking back what you said, you dumbass.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
And she's right, and I agree with that. Right if
that's what she said. She goes, I don't like what
you're saying. I think you're a bad person. I don't
like any of this. That's fine. I just feel like
doing it right before the game starts is a little
bit of game and shit, like gamesman ship being like, hell, oh,
were you trying to game plan? Actually, I think you're
a translobe and you're ruining the sport.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Hey have fun, girl, you know, like.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Like you're not Yeah, speaking of game planning, I did
not have to game plan for you in the least.
I'm not here being like, oh, but what if the
best player comes on the court and like, yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Come up, we don't we don't. No one knew about
you before that. I mean, you're lucky. That point went
viral and start pointing.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
That point was that point was a lot of fun
and then you you took that fun moment and uh
took a ship in the middle of the discourse.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Okay, so I know I want to go back. And
I said I didn't like that she didn't the lay
up plane. I changed my mind. I love that she did.
It changed. I thought it should be before or after it.
But I think it's funny that it's like, Okay, game's
about to start. I do hate you have a good.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Time, because man, you were caught in that thing of
maintaining a sense of decorum for people. But then which
someone like this does not deserve that kind of treat.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
You are absolutely correct, that's a percent.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
So yeah, go go, get go, get chatted up.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
In the warm up chance back to the locker room
and you know, like throw some gatorade on her or something.
I don't know, does that mean or.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Is that like I think I think that's usually something
that's done to say celebrate.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Or like Philosilda can with some coins and a spa.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
No.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
No, Like this is my character where I don't know
how to be I don't know how to be mean
to people.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Reest thing I can think of. Have you ever seen
these football games where they don't gatorade on the opposing coach.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
To humiliate them, somebody had to pull up to Sophie
Cunningham hand her a Starbucks gift card with like a
dollar on it.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, I'm furious at you. Give me a hug.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
You know here, what is something you think is overrated?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Okay? Also glad to be back so we can talk
about this something that I think is overrated because I
think we were talking about this a little bit earlier.
I think maybe we weren't talking with this as it's
spent on my mind. But I think sending prayers, sending
thoughts and prayers is overrated. I think this to hear
(26:58):
me out, where are you going with this?
Speaker 3 (27:00):
I kind of feel like I haven't heard anyone say this,
but okay.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
I think prayers are crypto for like poor people and
where I'm like, you think it's a big deal, but
to me, I can't use that. I don't. I don't
think they're bad. What I'm gonna do with this, but
I just feel like this has been happening a lot
to me where people who are they'll be like to
be honest. Okay, I'm just gonna be honest. People are
(27:26):
doing worse than me. Are like I'm sending prayers and
I'm like, I don't want your prayers. Okay, I don't
want Literally, there are only two people. Okay, this part
is a joke that I've been thinking about. You tell
me if I should say this on a stage somewhere.
The only two people have to take prayers from are
Lebron James and Erica Kirk. Okay, because God has obviously
(27:49):
listened to the Okay, shit, yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
I'll laugh for a couple of bucks.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I just feel like people have been like sending me
prayers for stuff, and I'm like, give me money, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Like, you got a lot of people. You're around a
lot of prayer centers.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
I'm a lot of I'm in the I'm in the Midwest,
and I'm a lot around I'm around a lot of
like moms and aunts who are like, oh, well, we've
been thinking about you and will be sending prayers, you know,
And I'm like, yeah, God isn't listening to you, Like,
I just don't. I don't need it. That might be
a hot take, but I don't need prayers from. You
can pray all you want, but you don't got to
(28:26):
send them my way. They're a little overrated to me.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Well, you know what, Ben, I'm gonna pray for you.
I'm gonna pray for that.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
It is usually what us religious people say to people
who need our help in bringing them over to the shame, you.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Know, Jack, because Ben's so close to realizing just how
much he actually needs prayer, you know, Yeah, you're almost
else there. Hey why not?
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Man? But like if the light just had a little
bit like a stack of like a thousand dollars of
straight cash, I promise you I would see whatever.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
You're looking for the cash. You're not looking for the light. Yeah,
and see if you look for the light, the cash
is there. He look for the cash, it ain't there.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
You know. There's a story that I made up where
guys walking on the beach. Yeah, okay, next too, I'm
in Jason, okay.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
And he's on Heroin.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
One's up for Jesse.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
He keeps shooting up Heroin. Jac's putting his arm there.
Jacey's getting fucked, And.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
You were like, this guy keeps shooting up Jesus with
the heroine on the beach.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
There's two guys doing a fentilean on the beach.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Should we call somebody, Jesus is folded.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Not even Jesus is gonna handle that one.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
He's like, oh, furo, this is good.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
So in that case, in that case only he was
carrying Jesus, okay, where there was one stet of footprints.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Tell Jesus sorry, I didn't mean to take it to
this point. We're working stuff out, we're doing great, all.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Right, We're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right
back to talk about someone who maybe we should send
some prayers too much. McConnell will be right back and
we're back. I just want to talk about it. It
came out like the meeting was ten days before he disappeared,
(30:20):
or the vote a rama, and then somebody did the
time lapse thing to the footage. I think it was
se Span footage that I guess the cameras are always
rolling on c Span. And this was a twenty hour
vote where like twenty hour session where you know, everybody's
there working around the clock trying to pass these various laws,
(30:41):
and somebody noticed that there was one person in the
midst of it all. If you sped things up, who
you know, you speed up any footage enough and a
room of people looks like a swarm of insects, you know,
just like people buzzing around. And it really like that.
This is being used in a lot of music videos
(31:04):
to just be like cool where it's like, you know,
you know what I'm talking about, the person who's like
in normal speed while everyone's speeding around them, and the
time lapse thing and it's like, I'm so separated from
the world around me, man, But this shit is like
pure horror movie vibes. Yeah, so I just I just
want to you guys have not seen this. I just
(31:24):
want you to watch it and get am I overreacting
to this?
Speaker 3 (31:27):
This is one I think they're pointing out. This was
during like from a spell starting around eleven at night
or something, maybe in this twenty yard thing. But here
he is there, he is right there, moving people are
the guy Oh okay, he wiped his mouth once.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
That's hilarious, dude.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
He's barely even changing the angle. Oh my god, that
angle from the side, see.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Straight straight, nothing moving. The guy next to him, who
is also like it's his job to just sit by
Mitch McConnell, but like his head is involuntarily moving as
he just like is a humans a statue, except for
one time when he does like reach up and like
wipe his mouth or or maybe like vote, maybe they
(32:08):
have like a little dude.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Still nothing, it's this guy is like a fucking scarecrow
next to him.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah, and still he's moving more.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
That's that's cool, that's cool he does he moves. I'm
not a fucking inch, not an inch, like even if
someone who is sleeping moves more.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Yeah, no I would. Yeah, you take a video of
me and time laps like sleeping. I'm up, I'm moving around.
I'm like changing positions constantly.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
From the about to fall asleep, like the head nod
you get from all.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Wake up in a totally different position than I went
to sleep, you know, like I'm not.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
Even he doesn't even seem like he's asleep.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
It's like, is he like he's just no, he's staring
straight forward. That's what's creepy about it. He's not he's
not asleep. He's sitting straight forward. It's like he's in
you know, power down mode or something.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
You know what. I know you were saying about how
like addicts they don't feel the drugs anymore. Got a
certain point. It's not Jesus Mitch McConnell, who's taking everybody
there inedibles all of America's drugs right there. He just
said give it to me.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Mitch McDonald's shaky hand.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
No, yeah, I don't know if it's squad the dude
I mean credit to his handler slash scarecrow that was
probably there to be like, don't talk to him, you
know what I mean, Like, I feel like that's why
that guy is there to be like, oh no, he's fine,
he's fine. Just mind your fucking business man, Mind your
fucking business. That guy didn't even pull out his phone.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Which must be part must be part of the job description.
You say as still as you possibly can from the
fact that he is staying completely still.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Oh right, like, don't make it look weird. I don't
like Mitch McConnell. I'm not a Mitch McConnell guy, and
I just need that before okay, all right, he is
giving like this is like the kid who doesn't do
anything in the group Project Energy. Everyone around him is
doing every single thing, and he's kind of just like,
I mean, I'm technically part of the group, you know
(34:13):
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Sure, I brought the mooster board bodily. I'm here so
I get credit.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
So I am impressed by that. To show up in public. Yea,
he could just not be there. He could be like
still yeah, but he's just like no, I'll show up,
but I ain't doing shit.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
It's interesting that this was ten days before he was
found like incapacitated. Like so this was like this is
the slow like landing of the plane or like just
like the engine losing steam here because I've been after that,
They're like, hey, bro, we can't have him here anymore.
That ship he didn't move and he was so rigid.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
You can be technically alive without showing much cognitive activity
for a long time. Like it's a it's a hellish reality.
It's three Like a lot of healthcare pfessionals who have
spent time around people in like end of life situations
or like worked in hospitals, like they choose to be
(35:10):
to be DNR. Almost to a person, they're always like,
do not resuscitate because there's a way to like prolong
someone's life. That is like this hellish thing where like
the lights are on but no one's home type thing,
and like like I don't think most people are fully
aware of that, and so that I think this is
(35:31):
them taking advantage of the fact that people are like, no,
when you die, it takes about ten seconds. You say
a few final profound words and then like you like
have a little eye fogging orgasm and then you're dead.
Like that's that's how death works in movies. But like
it's like, no, you can be around technically for months
(35:52):
and not actually be around, and like that feels like
it's what's happening.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
That's crazy that you could get like the equivalent of
like parental leave, but you're just like life leave. You're
there but still getting paid. Kind of like I don't know,
and we've now we like no one still can see
anything from him. They're being like, bro, you're not gonna
see him on video, which I think really does underscore
(36:18):
that point of like you can, we can show you
a still photo of him with his eyes open. Yes, video,
it's kind of it's gonna kind of give up the
game that we just got this guy on like horse
uppers just enough for his heart to beat fast enough
for the alive yeah, and then we put him down
in a cryo tank, uh, and just kind of to
(36:39):
see how long we can ride this thing out.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I am very curious what they were doing to his
mouth to get him into that smile. You know what
I'm saying, I do. I have often wondered on this
on this podcast, Mitch McConnell, what that mouth do?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Be bit consistent with that? Since to the thousand and six.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
In this household we believe?
Speaker 3 (37:05):
I believe, Yeah, what if it's just something like crazy?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
What if we were like, oh, he's dying or whatever,
but he just like took like a bad Blue show
and I had like the reverse effect. Yeah, like it
didn't make his dick card. It just body hard or something.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
You think he's locked in, and I like that, Like
you're here to be take the contrary.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Someone's got to speak the.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Truth here, Like you know Scott Jennings are one of
those people that goes and runs interference for him on
TV all the time. Hasn't trotted that one out yet
to be like, you know what you're seeing is someone
so locked in. You know, the fighter pilots at the
Top Gun Academy in Annapolis are going to be studying
how locked in this guy is.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Honestly, Like, to that point, you could not get me
to do that, Like I could not, at the peak
of my abilities, sit that still. For as long as
he is sitting.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
I'd like to see you raw dog a twenty hour.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Because your kind between doing this on the Senate floor
or on a delta flight.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Nothing.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
This man is the goat and he's an alpha respective
that's what they're saying. I don't think that. I don't
want to. I know you're not gonna like clip bait
me and screw me over. But I am worried that
someone at some point will be like, this guy loves
Mitch McConnell, and I'll be like, he's the goat, he's
an alpha.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
So this.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Put it on that new account we got called suckers
for McConnell. What that mouth do, What that Mitch do?
Speaker 1 (38:31):
All right, let's talk the Chinese robots. They're coming for
our jobs.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Something moving finally in a dynamic way.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
We've been talking about the Chinese robots for a little while.
This is this is our h this is our chance
to be fear mongerie. But it's actually a little bit
more like, man, we're really fucking up. And the people
in charge of our the oligarchs in charge of technology
in the United States are the terrible at their jobs.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
No more innovating is happening. Look, we're getting our fucking
asses kicked in the robot wars. We've been We've consistently
as Americans, we're all in. We're all in on American
made robotics, but goddamn it, our products sucks compared to China,
goddamn it. So last week China had their annual humanoid
(39:19):
robot games, like where they trot out their robots and
make it mostly like janky demonstrations, like in the form
of competitions like a shitty soccer game, ping pong boxing.
What the highlight that was getting shared the most was
definitely these hundred meter sprinter robots, like they're doing one
hundred meter sprint and the first one kind of went
(39:39):
viral because during the warm up one was going so fast,
like it was like fucking itself up and crashed and broke.
I'm just gonna play this one because it's it's actually
pretty amazing watching this how fast this one went. This
was one during like a prelim race where this robot
just said, I can't slow down. This one was everywhere
like holy shit, fairly bounce and got through hits. The
(40:03):
pad well, stumbling back, then breaks in half, breaks in half.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
I like that the hand gaps in the mid section
and sparks just start shooting out of it's inside.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
The handler was clear like I might catch it, and
it did that thing where like you know, if you've
like you've witnessed an car accident, like you have more
like you know, like people who watch and One mixtapes,
if someone did an insane crossover on somebody, you just
have to kind of be like, I got to turn
my back off your eyes, Yeah I didn't see that.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
No, no, no, and then you just like kind of
turn them walk away.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
At speed at which this thing is running. It's like
it reminds me of like like me being drunk when
I thought I could run fast down a hill and
then you don't know if you're running your legs or
if your legs are running you you know.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
That, and that thought enters your mind. And then when
that thought happens to you, you're good. But do not ever,
when you're running down steps really fast, I mean and
me who and then spark Sparky Yeah, the guy's reaction
(41:07):
who was apparently whose job it was to catch him.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
It was like, ah, that that all right, there's there's
my bonus. But really the pie is de Resones came
with the real race when this robot broke you sain
Bolts one hundred meters record byero point one nine seconds,
and it was terrified. The one that one. You're like, oh,
this thing, they've really got the mechanics dialed in. This
(41:31):
race was really something to see. Again, this is a
tiny little robot running a nine to three to two
yeah in the one hundred meters. Start out slow and
then goodbye, and you're like, there's no way that thing's
running fast, and it somehow just ran faster than you
sained Bolt photo finish.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Yeah, what this is? This is where like, as a
black person saying, I think I start to become kind
of racist towards the robots. I'm like, well, it's like
extra hydraulics, so that's.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
Hamstring muscle right down in the back.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
That's right, you tell I genuinely have a weird feeling.
I don't like, yeah, you're blaking, like you're breaking you
sain Bolts. Like this this man, we are like he's
not even human, right, right, there's something about this. It's
a machine. But why are we racing him. What are
we doing? Why are we even letting them know that
they can do this?
Speaker 3 (42:26):
I think the one thing is like the New York
Times posted an article that said, a Chinese robot beat
you sain Bolts hundred meters record, Should we be impressed?
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Okay, shut the fuck up.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
First of all, Like, Okay, I get what you're saying, Like,
you know, it doesn't even really matter to roost even
do this shit, Like no, it doesn't. But even the
Chinese makers of these robots contend like they're not contending
that this is some other worldly shit. They're like, you know,
the point of this is just to show, like every
year we're iterating, shit's getting better. So if it's getting
this good at running, these are all systems that can
(43:00):
eventually work together to make something that could like has
some kind of application. We're not saying, oh, we built
a robot that's faster than usain Bolt. End of story.
That's where the industry ends. Like that was the goal.
So and then now you.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Have to kill usain Bolt.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
I'm sorry, and I mean yeah, so like but actually
the most impressive one was the robot that was able
to play tennis with a person, right, because that actually
involved like analyzing unpredictable outcomes, moving, hitting the ball, whatever,
adjusting versus this thing, which's like, you know, just aim
this fucker down the fucking track and just hit start.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Usain Bolt is able to as impressed as I was
with that, you say Bolt able to stop without smashing
into it, because that's all like I thought, I thought
that the thing had run off course, ran the wall,
but that was actually how they stopped the robot. They
can't stop, Yeah, they can't stop. They just run, smash,
(43:56):
They just smash and do.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
What's funny is that in this New York Times article,
they like asked the guy, They're like, hey, man, you're
an American who like had a Guinness World record with
a robot back in twenty twenty two a for one
hundred meters sprint. You know how fast that fucker's robot
ran it? In twenty four point seven three seconds. So
in four years we've gone from twenty four point seven
(44:20):
three seconds.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Which I sprint could do.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
You could easily do that, I think, Jack, I think
you could do easily. You're like a sixteen second one
hundred meter.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Sprint, I think, I think Mitch McConnell could probably do that.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Yeah, yeah, just through gravity downhill for sure, he could
beat that record rolling him Yeah to now hitting a
Usain bolt record. I mean like that's or you're like, yeah,
that's and like that's even what this research is. Like,
I'm not even saying like like shit's better worst, like
the thing that's coolest to see the speed at which
these things are developing. And he's like, I thought, I'm
(44:53):
sure they thought they could get this guy to be like,
it's all a fucking joke, these Chinese robots. I'm over
here working at a Oregon State But he was like, no,
this is actually very impressive and very impressive about working
on technology.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
And I like that in America, the video of the
thing crashing and breaking in half goes viral, but not
like the impressive.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
Stuff I think smoking bolts record.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Yeah yeah, because I mean we've been doing this for
years where we're just like sitting over here not competing,
and then like Elon Musk will put out a video
of a taekwondo black belt in a robot suiting a
routine and be like we've achieved the next level of
the matrix.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
It's fun. I mean, I would rather see the tennis
videos and stuff like show me a robot playing pickleball.
I do get scared when I see him, like running
that fast. I'm like, oh cool, that's like you know
version one point zero of the Hunter Killer. That's gonna
wipe that right.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
You could just step to the side and they would
fuck up big time.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
I could make a robot that's just a wall and
that protects us from.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Yeah, that's yeah, wait till that thing is chasing you down,
saying I was praying for you, man, I was you.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Lock in, lock in, belly flops on your ease, open
your heart to Christ. Let's take a quick break. We'll
be right back, and we're back.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
We're back.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
We're back. Look at that, guys. We are so back.
Because progressives have discovered dressing up as iconic fictional characters
and doing funny stuff. There are two videos from the
past four days. I think one went viral over the weekend.
It was a committee, a Livable Neighborhoods committee meeting Public
(46:50):
Safety and Livable Neighborhoods Committee meeting in San Diego, and
I got stepped to the mic to defend flock cameras
dressed as Darth Vader and gave it, gave it impassion
to plea that I feel like we should we should
listen to here. It's pretty good, pretty good work.
Speaker 4 (47:09):
The Emperor is a fan of Flock, and we must
continue utilizing Flock technologies so that we can follow and
surveil the rebel scum as they.
Speaker 5 (47:19):
Move from playground to playground, from playground to pool, from
pool to gymnasium, because we all know that the Flock
cameras are not only following the license plate readers, they
are following children.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
They are following children in parks and gymnasiums.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
And we need this.
Speaker 5 (47:35):
I need this so I can stock my ex girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Really well, it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (47:46):
I was like, ah, you're kind of abandoning the solid
James Earl Jones imprese impression there, But I like you,
you saved it with that last one. And I somehow
and I do believe he might be stalking.
Speaker 1 (47:56):
His body language was really good.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
He was like, Yeah, it's something I gotta say. When
you see somebody with really narrow shoulders be Darth Vader,
it kind of takes me out.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
What happened to you?
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Yeah, I see a lot of Halloween every day, narrow
shoulder Halloween.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
Every night.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
I throw my my Vader suit on. I say, I
look at my wife. I go my shoulder and she goes,
I mean, what do you want me?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
And I knew it.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
I knew it everything. I'll be Peter Griffin again or whatever.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
I guess I'll just be Mookie Bets again.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Fuck.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
I've been told I look like Mookie Bets this summer twice.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
That's just to wear the gold chain. Yeah, baseball mad
on one hand and a bowling ball in the other.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
I just got to wear Jordan threes, okay, and I'm
Mookie Bets. This one guy goes, hey, bro, I don't
know if you ever heard this, bro, you look like
Mookie Bets. And I'm like, I have heard that actually
from my own mother, who was one of the first
people to be like, you look like Mookie. She goes,
you have the same baldness, get the same receding airline.
(49:14):
He goes, it's very like Mookie. I didn't know when
he took his a goal, it looks like you.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
When I go, thanks mom, one of the great athletes
for our time.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, well, I think, but shout out
to darth Vader and his shoulders.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
I like this guy. I like Darth Vader in this
realm of telling, you know, doing what he's doing. I
don't think he's the most ridiculously dressed person in that clip.
I think the guy right behind him with the headband
and the funny shirt would have drawn my attention a
little bit more because I was trying to figure out
what the shirt is. I think the shirt is like
it looks for an otter or something. I don't really know.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
Yeah, it's like a I don't know, is it like
a uh, some kind of swamp like a muskrat might.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Have a like a like a sheet or whatever for
arrows on his back?
Speaker 1 (50:03):
What is?
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Yeah, it's he's got like a He's definitely got overalls
on and like a Cabby hat.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
That's so good.
Speaker 1 (50:11):
He's a Kyle Mooney character.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
Ye, Like that is exactly what he is. Imagine sitting
down and just being like, yeah, I wanted to talk
about some of the Zony ordinances. And then you have
Darth Vader, you have this guy. You have the lady
in the back of cond looks like she's wearing a wig, dark.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Lader gestures at them when he says rebel scum. So
I feel like they might be a rebel scum, which
is I'm on their team and I like that they
I do like them.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Just like, Hey, I just think we need a Tommy
Chong memorial, park Man. That's all I'm here to say.
Damn hight, I have to catch straights from Vader Man.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
He's dressed like Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson after they
have to change clothes and pulp fiction.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
Wow weird weird athletic shorts.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
A local volleyball team, as the Wolf Tell describes them.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Do we think Darth Vader showed up in that costume
or had it changed in the bathroom?
Speaker 1 (51:06):
Right, because you have to go through you have to
go through security in that costume.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
You gotta shut I mean you gotta show up. Based
on his outfit, he's wearing a leather motorcycle jacket and
the things that are Vader are the little chest box thing,
the cape, and the helmet. So I could see a
version of him where he comes in trying to be like, no,
it's my motorcycles.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
Yeah, I like you're going full Darth Vader walking through
like a metal detector, like, sir, do you have any
metal in your pockets?
Speaker 3 (51:33):
And doing forced choke on the security guard going and
they're like, what the fuck are you doing?
Speaker 2 (51:38):
Man, you're going to agro darth Vader. I'm going less
ago darth Vader. He just takes his lightsaber out, he
goes my bad and then it just puts his lightsaber
in the box or something. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
I forget to actually always Inhaler Man is always the
chaotic good and I'm just chaotic evil. Yeah, yeh yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:55):
Yeah, But you're right like the power of a Darth
Vader costume, because you're right like technically his performance, like
he starts out pretty committed to the pace of a
Darth Vader monologue, and then as he's like getting a reaction,
he's like speeding up and getting excited the way.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Well, because I mean it's true, Like you know, there
are people at like work at Flock and they're like,
wait this The only thing this guy used his access
to was to look inside of a gymnasium where they
were kids, And you're right, what's the fucking point of this? Exactly?
Speaker 2 (52:28):
Well, these guys are insane. The guys who like literally
are like, did you see the one where it was
like a cop met someone on like a TV show
or something and then use flock cameras to track her
and then pulled her over to try to get her number,
as if that was gonna work. He was like, Hey,
I hunted you down. I thought maybe you'd want to
like date me because of that, and that because.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
I put in a lot of effort. My mom said
it would be impressive.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
To you, right, she said, she's impressed it used to be.
I was just watching the Scorsese movie Alice Doesn't Live
Here Anymore, and like they're there's Chris Christofferson is the
love interest, and like he the way he like demonstrates
that he's like a good character is just showing up
every day at ellen person's work and just staring directly
(53:14):
at her the whole time while everyone else is like
eating and people are like, wow, I get Apparently that
used to be impressive. It's like, man, look at all
the work he put in, right. I remember like meeting
somebody in their twenties when I was at you know,
twelve or something, and they were like telling the story
of how they met their boyfriend, and she was like, yeah,
he just wouldn't take no for an answer. I did
(53:37):
not want to date him, and over and over and
over and over.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
I just remember one day my breake started stopped working
in my car, so I had to take my car
to where he worked, and he said, oh, I wasn't
expecting to see you. And then he said someone had
cut my brake lines.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
So weird.
Speaker 3 (53:54):
But anyway, we're married now and he's great. That drive
Vader guy though, like he talked on a bunch of
other stuff too, was talking about ice atention facilities. Uh,
this starts Vader pretty good. He also he kicked it
off because he said that their city council was like
he said, the council would be pleased to know that
the Chomo emperor was pleased with them, talking about Jeffrey
(54:17):
Epstein's city count that. I'm like, bro, that's you're bringing.
You're bringing a whole other world into this city council
meeting where people might not be like, what's a joem
So slowly, though, more and more people like who seemingly
weren't as interested in like the surveillance state, do realize
(54:40):
that it's so odd, that's so stupid. There are so
many city council meetings you see from across the country.
There was one I saw with like a Wisconsin sheriff
where he's like, Hey, I'm just doing this stuff because
it's gonna make things easier. Okay, so next time you
get something solen, don't come crying to me about you
know where it go, because we need these cameras to
(55:02):
help us. It's like, uh, what do you mean, don't
come crying to You're literally the people just crime to dipshit.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
That's a good Wisconsin accent, by the way, that was solid.
I like that. Okay, I'm just I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (55:13):
I'm trying, but I guess just like it's so it's
it's so funny to see. Like again, this is like
another example where cops don't realize where the world is
at with this ship or they're like, man, this is great. Usually,
like when we talk about public safety, thing will make
them feel safer, they're with it, like you know, over
policing and brutalizing people of color and stuff like that.
But with this these flock cameras, they.
Speaker 6 (55:32):
Don't like it, and I'm telling them it'll make them
safer and we can misidentify people using this because I've
already seen bodycam footage where cops pull up on somebody
and like they swear down.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
They like this person was it, And they're like, then
show me the flock camera footage. You're like, no, I can't,
and you're like you're trying to pluck. What are you
fucking saying? I know where I was like, nah, I
got you. It's you for sure. And I can only
see how this is only gonna make policing even like
lazier and more fucked up, because they're just convinced that
some you know, AI camera was like this is your guy,
(56:05):
now go.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
I think just as AI has made movies better, it's
gonna make police work even better and in no way
lazier and more prone to terrible fucking ideas. Also similar strategy,
So Trump pardoned neo nazi Jake Lang was arrested again
over the weekend after a planned rally outside Minneapolis's city
(56:30):
hall that turned predictably violent. They he pitched it as
a peaceful freedom of speech rally. Fewer than a dozen
people showed up in support of him. He was wielding
a giant white cruise fix for some reason, and uh,
you know.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
What that means?
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Giant white.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
He's saying, yeah, he's saying that he is a christ
like figure. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, So we're praying for him.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
Checks out.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
I'm sending him crypto.
Speaker 1 (57:02):
They were outnumbered by counter protesters, and so they decided
to drive their car onto the sidewalk to a big
truck onto the sidewalk to try and run them over
and spray started spraying chemical irritants at them. And that's
when one of the counter protesters, dressed in a very
(57:22):
good Spider Man costume, was filmed climbing onto the back
of Lang's black pickup and physically engaging the people inside,
including Lang unquote which he's fucking throwing rights and lefts
right at this Lang guy in a way that I
found somewhat impressive.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
I mean, look at he's out here.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
He was Wow.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
Put in a Spider Man.
Speaker 2 (57:50):
This deleted scene from Spider Man Brand New Day is
pretty sick.
Speaker 3 (57:54):
What's wrong with Jake? Like last time he was in
Minnesota after the Ice Siege, he did the same and
got the breaks beaten off of him because he thought
he was doing something out there and not realizing how
incensed Minnesotans were with his presence. Trying to get shit started.
So he goes I maybe he thought he was like, man,
this is the one place I get a good ass kick,
and every time I go.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
I think it might be his kink. I legit think
he's into it. I think he's like, oh, I haven't
been beat up or spit on it a little little bit.
Where can I go? Like, oh, downtown Minie.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
He paid that guy to dress up as Spider Man
and who possess?
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Because if you think about a plane ticket to Minneapolis
from wherever he's from, let's say that's maybe like two
fifty three hundred bucks if you buy the Vans, that's
probably cheaper than a set like a DOM session or
something like. So right, He's like, yeah, I'll just go.
I'll get paraded in public. I'll probably come a little
bit and then I'll go home. It's fine.
Speaker 3 (58:43):
He loves and he should get the shit kicked out
him because while he's getting punched, he has a sign
that says Jake Lang loves black people but hates en words. Yeah,
it's crazy, like yeah, yeah, where all the other Spider Way,
Where's Where's where's Noir? Spider Man? At where Wednesday? Everybody
from come out all the timelines and beat the shit
out of here.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Miles Morales definitely should be there. If there's gonna be
one spider Man, Miles Morales should be the one that's there.
But it's crazy that he I I don't know if
he thinks like work because again for people who don't know,
I live in Minnesota, so like these people are doing
this all the time, and I genuinely am like, you
gotta love it at this point. You gotta love that
(59:23):
someone like you get fired up. Nowhere else gives you
this reaction. Also, you're going downtown Minneapolis, like City Hall,
where there's nobody, like people had to come out to
protest him. Come to like, I have a different I
have a couple differ neighborhoods. If you really want to
like trcense past, yeah we can. I can find you
some spot.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
If you want to pull a John McClain in Harlem
and die hard with a vengeance with your incendiary sandwich
board you want to wear and see what kind of
reaction you can get.
Speaker 2 (59:52):
Yeah, that probably is where he got that idea, now
that I think about it, that's really Yeah, that's a
good point.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
Someone. Yeah, someone just throws this which blade right into
the board. Like John McClane. He's like, oh shit, oh shit.
Remember that scene too when they catch him the dudes
and the street they go, hey, yo, what the fuck's.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Some great off off camera acting at that moment?
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
And there will be no Sam Jackson to help you. Okay,
I just I also love seeing one person on Twitter
place and go, I don't know who Jake Lang is,
but if Spider Man is beating him up, then he
got to be a bad guy.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
It works just Darth Vader for Spider Man. If Darth
Vader be for them and Spider Man against them.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
That's where the idiocracies come though, too, Like that's all
people needed to figure it out. Hold on Darth Vader
pro flock camp. Oh no, damn Spider Man against Jake Lang.
Oh boy, who's Iron Man with dopeeds.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
For a like more media literate generation, you know right?
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
That made me really sad, But yes, you're one hundred
percent correct.
Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
So what happens Spider Man? I saw they got he
got arrested.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
It looked like they Yeah, they arrested Spider Man because
he was quick. Yeah, he was a He was a
flurry of fists and punches. And kicks, and they arrested him.
A bunch of people put up go fund me is
for Spider Man support Spider Man's legal defense.
Speaker 3 (01:01:18):
I need to know about Spider Man a little bit more.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
Before we Yeah, somebody was the last name Love, which
I remember a certain Love from Minnesota by the name
of Kevin Love. This guy does not appear to be
seven feet tall.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Unfortunately, Kevin Love, where are you right now? You should
be the one beating jag.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
That was Kevin Love. Bro big as Kevin Love, no.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Prior arrests, no known activism, and no social media anyone
could find under his name.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
So innocent, A true spider Yeah, maybe he's.
Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
Just in it for the Spider Man. No known activism
is like, wait a second, he doing up there? Man?
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Sorry? Man, I just had a bad day, and these
guys look like they could use a couple of punches.
I don't know what I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
To be he doesn't even know what they're doing. He's like,
I just saw this car parked illegally on the street,
and I decided to take these criminals out.
Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Yeah, get out of here.
Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Then, such a pleasure having you on the podcast. Where
can people find you, follow you, see you in person. Yes,
that good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
So you can follow me on all social media stuff
at Shaq Katzner shaq shack like the basketball player. My
last name is Katzner ka t z n e R.
Or google Ben Katzner and you'll see me in a
Spider Man suit beating up Jake Lang. If you like

make sure that people come to the Mall of America

takes to get butts in seeds to my comedy shows.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Do you even accept an inanimate Mitch McConnell.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
The inanimate Mitch McConnell, Yes, because he won't heckle. I
like that. Ah no robots though, I'm not there yet,
and you could keep playing off of him too, just
for some crowded with Hey, this guy's locked in.
Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
Huh okay, man, would you hey? Would you take tonight?
Got take too much?
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (01:03:38):
All right, man, Hey, don't raise your hand if you
took a three hundred milligram edible tonight? Oh it was
you on?
Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
All right? Amazing? Is there a work of media you've
been enjoying?
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
Work of media have been enjoying? I think the last
time I came on this show, I had just seen
Disclosure Day, and I was really going hard on Steven's
Superberg and how bad that movie was and retroactlely some
of the other things he'd done.
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Honestly, just you like Jurassic Park? Right, yeah your theory?
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
That might have been the thing I said, And now
I have to stand by for the rest of my life. Yes, yeah,
I just found an account just by a Happenstance. It's
called Rate and See Movies. Okay, it's got an Instagram,
it's got a YouTube page. Everyone should check this out. Uh,
there's this dude. He goes through and talks about why
movies are bad, like now, why the movies are bad?
Speaker 1 (01:04:33):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
And the last movie he did was Disclosure Day and
he went through, scene by scene everything I hated in
that movie, and he blade it out exactly how I
was thinking. I've never felt more seen as a late
thirties man in America than one guy going why did
they duck behind a rock that wouldn't work? Okay, So
(01:04:54):
this Rate and See Movies on Instagram on YouTube. Check
it out. I think it's a very fun, funny page.
And if you like that sort of thing, you'll look it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
You're right there, got got our ass because we liked it.
And I will say, Ben, in retrospect, you're probably right.
I haven't thought about that movie a single time since
I saw it. It did not leave leave a lasting
impression the way movies that I tend to enjoy.
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
Emily Blunt is the only thing I can remember. Yeah,
speaking Korean, I think is when she spoke.
Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
To She's like Okay, okay, it's Emma Lee.
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
And that was the best part of the Spielberg movie.
It was when Emily Blunt smoke Korean Emma Lee. Emma Lee, Miles. Yes,
where can people find you as their working media? You've
been Yeah, find me everywhere at Miles of Gray. I'm
talking about ninetyda fiance on four to twenty Day Fiance
with Sophia Alexandra, who was stepped in for a couple
episodes last week while I was out, and then also

the show? Please subscribe to that one A work at
media like I don't know if you follow that account.
I am Derek Washington on Instagram. It's like black dude,
he like collaborates with this other guy and they just
do like a bunch of like absurdist, like weird comedy videos.
(01:06:30):
But the picture he posted it looks like a like
a Washington Post headline and it says news Derek Washington
says he'll give white folks one last chance.
Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
It's just the funniest.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
One last chances, just so funny.
Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Uh, that's that's my work media, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
You can find me on Twitter, Jack Underscore, Obrian Blue
Sky Jack ob the number one Instagram Jack Underscore, Oh
Underscore Brian A couple tweets. I've been enjoying handsome Bee
Charming tweeted chit chatting at the dog park. Yeah, I
mean I think everyone has a silly voice they talk
to their dog with. Honestly, mine's a little embarrassing to
even do in public, turning to my dogg and yelling
(01:07:21):
like Alex Jones, I'm gonna get you, you son of
a bitch, you fucking coward. And then I like this
one from Thomas White Anthony Bourdain. Is a fly life
is short. Leave some fruit on the counter, Open the windows,
let the flies in, open the doors, let flies into
the rooms. Let flies in through doors and windows. Shit
(01:07:48):
got me? You can find us on Twitter and Blue
Sky at daily Zeitgeispraad the Daily Zeitgeist. On Instagram. You
can go to the description of this episode wherever you're
listening to it, and there at the bottom you will
find the footnotes, which is where we link off to
the information that we talked about in today's episode. We
also link off to a song that we think you
might enjoy. Myles, is there a song that you think
(01:08:09):
that people might enjoy?
Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
Yes. I was cooking a bunch of food, not like
meal prep, but sometimes on Sunday, I just make a
thing of food that I know will be at least
like three lunches worth of leftovers throughout the week. And
as I was doing that, I was like, man, I
want to hear some Japanese cooking music. I don't know
why what compelled me to do that. I randomly tried
to find something that was like a playlist like that,
(01:08:33):
and lo and behold, I found something like that. And
this is a song from this playlist. It's by the
artist Masayoshi Takanaka, and it's called Brazilian Skies and it's
just got a nice again, it's just like that background
music so when you're cooking, it just elevates the air
around you, the tone around you while you get your cooking.
(01:08:54):
So check this one out. Nothing is super interesting, just
good background music.
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Here you cool. Sometimes that's what we need in this country.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Man, Man, it's get back to back half music and
Spider Man to dress up and beat the shit out
of bright wing losers.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Hell yeah, man.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
