the state of Michigan coming to that joint. So you know,
she wanted the only black owned, the only black owned juice.

Speaker 7 (02:30):
I love that and it's just little. It's doing so good.
I'm super proud of her.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
You know, we shout out to Kier and I think
there's nothing more important than bringing businesses to communities that
actually are beneficial, because juicing is something. You know, we
said it's a health is wealth Wednesday today. But you know,
I'm reopening my juice Barn, Brooklyn on the twenty fifth,
and I'm excited about that. So when I found out
she was opening hers, I found out initially a couple
(02:57):
of years ago that she was doing that.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
I was really excited.

those applications. You can get as many as you need,
so any that can get it for you. I'm so
happy to hear that. Congratulations, Yes, thank you, I appreciate it.
All right, thank you for calling. All right, Well that

and but it's a it's a trek.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
Where is it.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
It's in California right in like the desert or something.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
But yeah, so other people that are going to be performing.
I Spice will be out there blast who I really
like to let me see who else is on this
there's a lot of people. Uh that's gonna be the
Victoria Monet, who's really amazing. Little YACHTI is going to
be performing too, that's the thing to You also learn
about a lot of new artists when you go, because
(05:47):
it's all different genres of music, kind of like the
iHeart Festival.

You know.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
The Governor's Ball has also been announced and sizz Up
post malone twenty one Savage will all be performing. Victoria

What's the biggest festival you've done?
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Uh, Summer?
Speaker 6 (06:06):
I mean that's a big deal.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
I did, Yeah, I did Rolling Loud. I did Roll.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Rolling Loud as a vibe now all right?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
And then Drake and j Cole have pushed back there.
It's all a blur big as the What Tour. Originally
it was going to be kicking off Thursday, January eighteenth,
that's tomorrow, but now it's starting on February second. So
what happens if you got tickets earlier on for these
earlier dates, I got right, because then what if you
(06:36):
booked flights you got a room.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
You got ready for a whole vibe.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
But yeah, it's been pushed back, all right, and here
is another tour and we talked about this in the room.
Janet Jackson has announced her Together Again tour dates and
she'll be on tour with Nelly. All right, tickets go
on sale this Friday.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
I did think. I was like, that's a random that is.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
I'm not gonna lie like that's a random A little
mix up at crowd.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
That's gonna be a crazy crowd.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
Janet Jackson and Nelliet.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
But people will I'm sure be dancing and uh, your
manager Chanelle said. She was like that sounds like Jamain
Dupree had some type of hands.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I feel like he did round it up.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
But her last tour was sold out and I actually
saw her perform at Essence Festival. Yeah, and that was amazing.
That was like one of my highlights of seeing Janet
Jackson perform. I met Janet Jackson once.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
How is she?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
I found out she's like sweet, you know, she's very
soft spoken, and this is the only time that's ever happened.
They said we could interview her, but we couldn't ask
her about like anything really, and we were like, okay, no.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Problem, We're just gonna stare at her.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
We got to ask it like a couple of you know,
little softball questions, and that was it.
Speaker 6 (07:46):
But it's Janet Jackson.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
You're not gonna turn down, you know, an opportunity like that.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
Who's somebody you met that you were super hype about.
Speaker 7 (07:53):
Who I was super hype about when I first met.
I'm not gonna lie it was Pluto and then we
became home, so it just got regular.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
Yeah, let me try to add cool love you look
music and Kanye weston Tie Dollars signed.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Their album has been pushed back until February, so I
know people have been hearing what's gonna come out? Now
that date is February ninth, So we'll see what happens.
It was supposed to come out I think January nineteenth,
this Friday, but now it's coming out.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Everybody pushing that joints back.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
Yeah, I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night. Now, Vezzo, you
got here last night. This is where we talked about
what we did last night. I'll tell you what I
did last night. I tried to do dry January where
you don't drink all of January. But Jasmine, my friend
Jasmine was here and we got drunk. All right, it's
way up last night.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
So about last night? Last night, last night I went down.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
It's way you put Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee and
my co hosts I swear ourselves here. Yes, indeed, now
about last night. That's where we talked about what we
did last You were working yesterday?
Speaker 7 (09:01):
Yeah, I was working. I was in the studio cooling.
But let's hear about your night though.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
No, but before we get to that, all right, since
you were in the studio working, what does this mean
about your project? Coming out?
Speaker 7 (09:11):
On project dropping February second? Been a long time coming.
I spent a full year putting this joint together. It's crazy.
I've been chilling. I've been laid back. I ain't even
doing nothing. I've been waiting for this moment. So it
was about to go up.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
We're gonna talk more about it this morning too, this
afternoon for me last night, so I tried to do
this whole drive January. My birthday was January third, and
then I really haven't had a drink other than some
I best wine for the past since January fourth. And
that's just because I was like, all right, I'm gonna
take a little break.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
Maybe a little bit of wine, but that's it.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
But yesterday Jasmine Brand was here and when I left work,
we went to Legos. That's the restaurant in Times Square's
Afro Caribbean food.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
It's really good. So we go there.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I was on the phone doing some work stuff. Next
thing I know, Jasmine ordered some drinks and then I
felt like, you know, I got drink.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
And drinks, drink, I'm just go ahead, and.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Yeah, that's how I felt. And I had like a
long day yesterday. I also did a deposition yesterday. That
was my first time ever having a deposition for really
it's two hours.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
That's crazy. Deposition yesterday here in New York.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, I have to do it on zoom. It was long.
It was a lot of questions, and but they tell
you like just try to say yes or no and
don't like, you know, get.
Speaker 7 (10:25):
Like attacking you like just being like real sarcastic with
they questions and.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Just well I'm not really in trouble for anything.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
I know, but still I see the deposition feel that's
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
You do live there, feeling like they just talking to
me crazy, like it's like they're trying to catch you
in something, you know. And then it's like I have
two more questions, and then they come back and they're like,
actually have another question. It was really really long, but
that's my first time ever having a deposition. So I
was like, you know what, I'm gonna have it d yeah,
and then that drink turned into like, you know, another drink,
and then the manager got us around the drinks and
(11:00):
then we met some people at the bar, so shout
out to everybody who was there.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
One of them was talking to me.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
She works at Chelsea Piers, which is the gym out here,
and they sell my tea and my coffee there. She
was saying that she thinks that the tea She was like,
I wanted to be even more strong. I like my
stuff really really strong. I said, well, maybe you need
to put more leaves in tea.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
And then we met a guy who owns a jewelry store,
amongst other things. One thing he told me that he
does it I thought was really interesting. He makes money
selling ones.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yeah that's a real hustle, Like, yeah, that's a real hustle. Yep.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
So you can take high whatever percentage you want to
take out the ones, and then you sell it as
one hundred. But people already noticed it's not one hundred dollars.
For instance, like you, if they give one hundred dollars,
they get.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
They give you eighty singles.
Speaker 6 (11:47):
I didn't know that that's a real hustle. I feel like.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
I've never counted the ones because imagine they one to
hold on one second, there's fifteen dollars missing here. But
I didn't realize they do that. So that was my
first time hearing about that. And they don't tell you either.
They're not going to be like yea, you know, we
take fifteen percent.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Because they know you ain't going to count it.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
All right, Well that was last night.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Now when we come back, this segment always gets a
little crazy.
Speaker 6 (12:13):

Speaker 2 (12:14):
That's what people call in eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty, and they tell us a secret. Now,
our job up here is to not be judgmental, all right.
We just let people tell us whatever it is that
they have to say. You know, maybe they slept with
their neighbor's wife, which did happen?
Speaker 6 (12:31):
On tell us a secret. It could be anything.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Maybe they took their mom's wedding ring and brought it
to school as a youngster and gave it to their girlfriend,
and then the mom got mad at the dad. That
happened as well. Tell us a secret, but we're not
here to judge you. We just want you to be
able to put it in the atmosphere so you can
feel better about your own commer. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty is a number. Tell us a secret.

Though?
Speaker 10 (13:41):
Nothing much? Telling them about your classes.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
But we were stuff.
Speaker 10 (13:44):
I had a boss and he was trying to mess
with my deliveries. But I put water in his gas
tank to get my my deliveries up because he'll say,

Speaker 9 (13:54):

Speaker 10 (13:55):

Instead of doing that for walk, I feel just take

Speaker 3 (14:01):
You know what I'm saying. I had to take a
little different.
Speaker 10 (14:04):

Speaker 6 (14:19):
What is it? What a due to your car?
Speaker 11 (14:21):
Though?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Can it like mess your car permanently or is it
just I don't know.
Speaker 7 (14:26):
It'salla make it bugle, gonna go buddy, somebody you had,
you had dudes?
Speaker 5 (14:32):
Sounded like he was in a flintstone joint. Man, you
want to do delivery, You're.
Speaker 10 (14:37):
Gonna spend some money trying to get his stick. And
I figure it out and it's water and gas takes
the whole time.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
All right, Well, thank.
Speaker 2 (14:43):

about I think fourth or fifth grade, and there was
this girl named Timmy and Temmy she was very developed
for her age, and I was very attracted to her.
So you know, I stole a book of food stamps
from my mom's first one morning, and I went to
school and showed Timmy. I said, I gave you some
(15:15):
of these, if you give me some of that?
Speaker 10 (15:17):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (15:17):

Speaker 6 (15:18):
She and fourth and fifth?
Speaker 12 (15:19):

Speaker 3 (15:21):
I was like, it's wrong because she looked like a
grown woman. Was very attracted to.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
What what what grades was fourth or fifth?
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Fourth or fifth grade?
Speaker 6 (15:31):
You, first of all, you wouldn't have known what to do.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, I was gonna find out with them stamps though.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
I had just had to be a little minute ago.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
But it was a stamp, yeah, because yeah, they had
the color of the blue, the brown, you know, the green,
the dance she was about to until the teacher caught
me and she took her from me and gave it
back to my mom. You didn't tell what I was
doing with them.
Speaker 5 (15:59):

Pale produced psychological horror movie. It's called Goat. According to
the Hollywood Reporter, He's going to be the lead. It
focuses on an up and coming young athlete who's invited
to train with the team's retiring star. That retiring star
is who Wayne's. Marlon Wayne's is going to be playing.
So looking forward to that.

some Kat Williams stuff.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
That's what we're here for.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Og Kat Now Kat Williams versus Ludacris. That's something I
never saw on the calendar. But this all started when
Kat Williams did Club Chase Shade, which has like fifty
million views.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
Yeah, that interview literally went viral.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Like yeah, and it was like three hours long and
people was watched the whole joint, that whole thing. All right, Well,
here's what Kat Williams said about Ludacris that had Ludacris
respond with the freestyle.
Speaker 13 (18:25):
So there was a crossroads where we were both invited
to an Illuminati thing and it had to be one
or the other of us. One of us had to
cut off all their hair and couldn't do the sideburned
thing no more with the points. And the next person
they said was going to get two hundred million dollars
because they were gonna pay him ten million a movie
(18:46):
to do twenty movies. One of those persons turned out
to be Ludacris, and the other person turned out to
be Kat Williams. Now, one person ended up with a
light skinned, ugly faced wife.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
Oh that was harsh.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
I think people were like, now, say what you want,
but his white.
Speaker 7 (19:00):
Man ugly wife though whether it don't matter how she looked.
That's that man wife.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, well, I think he must have wanted a response
and Luda Chris did give what I was wondering. I said,
this is Luther gonna say anything. Here's what Luda did in
his freestyle.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Never been Illuminati, only your Luda Nadi, and I only
left with this different coming from any party.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Now I'm married with kids. That evolution of life.
Speaker 8 (19:24):
Never been a cloud chaser.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Never say this my life all raped, pet John Singleton.
You never have to flex when you earn every one
of your fast and furious checks afro with the sideburns. Yeah,
that's my signature for Dix's on the Rise comedians.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Check your temperature, okay, Lula, all right?
Speaker 6 (19:41):
Ladis nice to hear him rap. They see your freestyle. Well.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Kat Williams then went on Shug Knight's podcast and did
a response to that.
Speaker 6 (19:51):
So bear with us with this audio.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
But here it is, Oh, Chris, I could never under this,
and you wrap the feet for the fact time you
the wrong.
Speaker 10 (20:02):
Side of the history, and a time like this.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
I was so little Christian.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
Hey, I'm not gonna call I don't think any of
that rhymes.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
It's his own style. It's his own style of non rhyming.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I mean there's a lot more to that, but yeah,
so that is your eet who won that battle?
Speaker 7 (20:23):
Luda Kat won an interview battle on the viral side.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
But that was crazy, wife, that was wild.
Speaker 6 (20:30):
Listen what other interview got fifty million views?
Speaker 5 (20:33):
And that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
They were showing his uh club shah like all the
other interviews and how many views they got, and then
this one.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
You think he inspected that.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
No, I know, you knew it was going to go
crazy when he was doing it, because when you do
an interview like that, afterwards you like, yeah, that's out
of here, and you want to did you know a
three hour interview if you didn't think it was going
to be amazing? Because what are you gonna talk about
for three hours? But there you go, all right, well
we do have under the radar when we come back.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
(21:04):
They are flying under the radar, and we're gonna talk
to you guys about Drizzly.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
This is an app that I did used to use.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Now I use reserve Bar, but apparently uber is shutting
down Drizzly.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
We'll talk about it. It's way up in the.
Speaker 8 (21:16):
News that relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
I got my guy big Ice. I swear vessels here though,
guests hosting today. All right, And these are the under
the radar stories and not necessarily in the headlines, but
you need to know about them. Uber is shutting down Drizzly.
Drizzly is their alcohol delivery app. I used it a lot,
but I use Reserve Bar now, so shout out to them.
(21:41):
But yes, that was pretty useful if you were at
home and you wanted to get a bottle and you're like,
you know what, let me just call it Drizzly shutting
it down though they acquired it from one point one
billion dollars three years ago and now they're gonna not
use it anymore starting March.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
In March, that's it.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
So the alcohol delivery service was a standalone app, and
it was integrated into not going to be its own
separate app. You got it anymore? Now, this story I
think you'll find interesting. This is in the rob Report
the secondhand luxury goods market. Do you know how much
that business made worldwide. Almost fifty billion dollars of secondhand
(22:21):
luxury products were sold worldwide just in twenty twenty three
alone already, you know, so the numbers have come in already. Yeah,
and fashion houses are concerned. I'm gonna tell you what
their concerns are. Of course, that fake things could be
sold secondhand. Right, And like a company like stock X
that's based in where you're from, and so they do
a lot of stuff on and stock X does the
(22:42):
authentic mail tests.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Oh really, yes, they smell the shoes.
Speaker 6 (22:47):
Oh that's not my job.
Speaker 7 (22:48):
Yeah, like they said, draworans and like air Force one,
they smelled different. Had I did a full tour there, Like,
it's crazy. They have a whole unit that just smelled shoes.
It's smell tests to authentic shoes.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
I did.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Actually I did that to her too, and they did
they make you see if you could tell which one
was really new?
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:05):
Hell are you able to tell?
Speaker 13 (23:06):
No?
Speaker 5 (23:07):
That was some good knockoffs out there, all right.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
And some people are also saying that it's not fair
that shoppers determine what holds value and what doesn't. You know,
how sometimes things secondhand like a Burken bag is worth
more secondhand, and a Rolex is worth more secondhand than
something brand new.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
Some things who value and some dope now.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
According to reports Gucci, Balenciaga, Botega, Venetta, those drop ten,
fourteen and twenty three percent respectively over the past year,
and Louis Vatan loses forty percent of their value on average,
and Christian Dior bags almost are half the.
Speaker 6 (23:42):
Value in the resale market.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
So some people are working directly with the resale websites,
like Burberry teamed up a Gucci partner with the Real Real.
Other people have launched their own platforms for pre owned.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
That's like poshmark stuff, Like yeah, exactly, that's crazy.
Speaker 6 (23:58):
Do you buy I think secondhand?
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Ever, no I don't.
Speaker 7 (24:00):
But I'm about to start selling my clothes stuff. One time,
I go spend four five thousand on an outfit, wear
it once and I don't got nothing to do with it.
I'll wear it again if it was opened my closet.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Y'll can buy some clothes.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
As you should. As you should, all right, Well that
is uh, you're under the radar.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
You know.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
We got the way it mix at the top of
the hour, and it is a wealth Wednesday, but it's
a Health is Wealth Wednesday and coach Jesse is going
to be joining us alongside Stephanie Fisher. We're going to
be talking about We're gonna talk about doing this fasting
detox plan.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
She's like the talk like they Angela Jean like they
Angela Jean Man. She's spilling it all this is yet well,
it's way up. But Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee And
I got my guy ice wear vessel here with me
yo doing a yee t.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
We talk a lot off there too, about everything, which
I love.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
So first let's talk about Pharrell and this Louis va
Ti Men's Fall Winter twenty twenty fourth show.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
A lot of people went out there.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Playboy Cardi was there, Push your t s O and
Bumbe posted the invite and went as well, Little Yachty
sway Lea, Slim Thug, Lakeith Stanfield, Venus Williams. A lot
of people went out there, and now I was showing
you the tims or we talked about what did you
think about the.
Speaker 7 (25:16):
Crazy ain't gonna lie? They for showed that New York
vibe without a doubt that them New York all the way.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
What do you say you called Tims?
Speaker 5 (25:22):
We called him the al Post So.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Funny to me, but yes, would you want to see
now when you said it's crazy, I didn't know if.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
That was good or bad?
Speaker 5 (25:31):
Not on fired?
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Okay, all right, I saw a lot of people commenting
on those, So I'm also will I Am has announced
a new radio show. He's gonna have an AI co host,
which I thought was very interesting. Artificial intelligence, So he's
gonna have basically a co host. You see how they're
doing all these AI videos and songs.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
How you feel about it?
Speaker 6 (25:51):
Yeah, it means that I could if I'm not here,
y'all won't know.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Take it on the job.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
You just got to learn how to work with it
so that you're gonna still be able to be relevant
because you know, people felt like technology always happens, evolution happens.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
You got to figure out where do I get in there?
Speaker 12 (26:12):
You go?
Speaker 3 (26:13):
I like that?
Speaker 6 (26:14):
All right.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Now, let's talk about Ari Lennox versus Joe Button. Joe
Button was talking about Ari Lennox on this podcast. As
you recall, Ari Lennox did not have such a great
time on tour with Rod Wave due to his fans.
Speaker 15 (26:25):
I just don't like you grabbing your phone to tell
the audience how miserable you were when you didn't tell
your team or you told them and they didn't really care.
If I got to hear all about the self improvement,
then I don't want to hear all about.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
You being a victim.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
She was also saying, is that this had an effect
on her mental health.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
Enough of that as that suffered. I wasn't trying to
show and tell everybody every.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Second, okay, And she's being honest.
Speaker 7 (26:50):
She being honest, and like for me, I think guys
got to stop trying to hold women to a certain statter,
or hold anybody to a certain standard. Her speaking to
her fan and her followers that might be therapeutic for her.
And one thing he got to understand is that somebody
else might can relate or somebody that may have experienced
the same thing and she can help them out. So
(27:11):
I think it's okay for people, especially women, to let
their feelings out and speak to other people about how
they feel it.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
What's going on. That's how you change things.
Speaker 7 (27:20):
Change the work environment, change that change the situation for
the next female artist that's going on tour with a
street rapper, you know.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
I think it was important for her to speak up.
Speaker 6 (27:29):
And also we publicly saw certain things happen.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Somebody threw a water bottle at her, We saw fans
having an issue, and she talked about what happened and
how that made her feel. And so it's public, so
why not address it. Yeah, Well, here's what she had
to say to Joe Button specifically.
Speaker 14 (27:44):
I don't know what Joe Budden's obsession is with me,
but what I will say is that somebody needs to
tell them to stop touching them dogs. There's a million
people to talk about in life, like I can never
just express what's going on with me without him coming
from behind to say something. I should literally just drop
(28:09):
fucking kay to sue him.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Well, there you have it all express yourself, girl, were
with you, and if you want to know what she
meant about dogs, just google Joe Button dogs and you
can know, all right, because there's I don't know if
I can say it or not, that's your yet. When
we come back, Vezzo is here, so I want to
make sure we talk to him about what he has
going on, because.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
Lie from the sixth.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Finally, as a release date, we're gonna talk about that
new singles.
Speaker 6 (28:34):
You have new music for us.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Too, right, Yeah, I'm playing that joints back all right,
it's way up.
Speaker 8 (28:42):
Way yup with Angela. He is back to set off
your workday.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yes, way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm Angela ye and
Icewear Vessel is rocking on me all day.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
I love the fact that you're guest hosting today. But
we got to make sure we know there's purposes behind
things too.
Speaker 5 (28:58):
Absolutely, it's going down February second.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
Okay from the six Man.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
So the last project you put out was DJ Drama
kankst of Grills. Okay, Now, this one you took quite
some time because I kept thinking it was gonna come
out last year.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
I've been working out. I wanted to take my time
with this joint. This is the first project where I like,
really start to tell my story. I haven't done that.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
You know.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
It's a lot of things I've been through, a lot
of things I did that I haven't shared with anybody
that listened to my music or anybody that followed me.
Speaker 5 (29:31):
I want to bring the whole world into Detroit, Michigan.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
But from where I'm from, from the East Side, from
six mile, you know what I'm saying. So I switched
it up on this joint. I took my time with
the production with everything. You know, we really wrapping on
this joint, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
And the consistency has been amazing.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
I'm gonna tell y'all, I met Vesso so long ago, Yeah,
at Coach for Kids in Detroit, and I know you
was about to get locked up too at that time
on my way. Yeah, you were on your way. Your
wife was there with you. I believe, yes, she was
at that time. And you know, admittedly you'll say, y'all
done been through a lot together. You guys have been
together for how long.
Speaker 5 (30:08):
We've been together? Since we was twelve years old?
Speaker 6 (30:10):
Since twelve years old. You know how wild that is.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
That's crazy.
Speaker 14 (30:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
And I noticed a lot of people calling up from
Detroit today too, people texting me from the DH Shout
out to Christy who's tuned in from out there too.
So talk about the process of doing this album, because
we do have a surprise that's not out yet that
we're going to play in a minute.
Speaker 7 (30:28):
So, like you know, I dropped projects every two to
three months, like I always been doing that, Like you said,
I've been like mad consistent or whatever. And I never
really took my time with any project. I dropped period.
I never really took my time with any music. I
don't write, I freestop and I just wanted to switch
it up out. Like I said, I thought it was
important for me to just take a seat, take a
(30:49):
step back, look at the rap game, look at what's missing,
and figure out what can I bring? What value can
I add? How can I how can I be different?
You know, after all these years I have emotion and
being in music. How can I be different? How can
I stand out? You know, Detroit we having a run
right now. Absolutely, you know what I'm saying. So it's like,
well lions too, Absolutely you know what I'm saying. So
(31:11):
it's just like, you know, let me represent for everybody.
Let me speak for everybody as a whole. Like, you know,
people paying attention to Detroit, so let me tell them
exactly what Detroit is. And that's what this project was,
you know, all the way down to the production. You
know what I'm saying. So, yeah, this this him y'all
make sure y'all grab this joint February second, I promise y'all.
Y'all won't be upset. I'm bringing real street music back
(31:34):
for the real ones. You know what I'm saying. Everybody
can relate to it, though I'm speaking for the world.
Speaker 13 (31:38):
You know.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
We're talking about everything.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
On that And I want to say this too.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
You've always had an entrepreneur spirit too as a business owner,
you know, even back then, like early on, you always
yeah business talk about that too, because I think people
need to know that side of you.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
So when I first met you, I had a restaurant,
a dispensary in the car. Was I was a if
I was twenty three, twenty four years old? Wow, well,
all of that stuff, you know. I just always think
it's important to find out other ways to get money
and to be successful because you never know what's gonna work.
Rap might not work for for anybody. It just never
(32:17):
you never know for any artist, you know. So my
thing is to keep going and keep grinding, but figure
it out, figure out other ways.
Speaker 13 (32:24):
You know.
Speaker 7 (32:24):
If this is what you want, if you want to
be successful in and change the change the everything for you,
for your family, for your community, and you gotta try
other things. And that's that's what it always been for me.
So even through the midst of me making music, I'm
figuring out this business and that business.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
All right, Well, you guys, make sure you check out
Vezo's whole story. And I cannot wait to hear Life
from the six because you said you're gonna be telling
us a whole lot more of your story, you know,
like I said, been with your wife, being an entrepreneur
all this time, been through a lot of childs and tribulations,
and I feel like still thriving. So that's a dope thing.
But we do have asked ye on the way eight
(33:02):
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Great time for
you to call and ask for advice from me and
Icewear Vezzo. I don't know if you'll get this opportunity.
Watch us earn your master's interview too that he did
where he discusses a lot of that business. But eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty and now let's
get into you introduced this next song, Let's Get It.
Speaker 7 (33:20):
This is my first single off the project. This is
perfect featuring the baby Let's Get It shout to be
with hey.
Speaker 8 (33:26):
Everybody since whether it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Should you should know?
Speaker 6 (33:32):
This is ask Ye what's up?
Speaker 2 (33:34):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
this is great that Icewear Vezzo is here for ask Ye.
That's where you guys get to call in and ask
any question that you want and we are here to
give you some great advice.
Speaker 6 (33:45):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Hello.
Speaker 14 (33:48):
Hey, how are you?
Speaker 15 (33:50):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (33:50):
How are you? Who's this?
Speaker 9 (33:52):
Renee?
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Renee?
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Okay, Renee? What's your question today? For me and Bezzo?
Speaker 9 (33:57):
My daughter was living in another state for five years
and she wanted to come back home. And she came
back home three months ago and she's living with me
until she gets back on her feet.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Now.
Speaker 9 (34:09):
I have rules and expectations in my house. She was
walking around the house with no braw on, and her
brother's here he's thirteen, and my spouse, which is her stepdad,
and I asked her, I said, would you please, you know,
put a bra on, have some type of you know, decency,
And she didn't want to. She said, I don't like
(34:29):
wearing the bra She laughed, so she just went and
put a jacket on. And I have surveillance cameras inside
and outside, and when I get up in the morning,
I normally square all all my notifications, but one caught
my eye. It was a video in the picture and
I looked at it. She was walking around half naked
in my house.
Speaker 6 (34:49):
What do you said, half naked.
Speaker 9 (34:50):
Just her underwear. She walked out of her bedroom and
I told her she had to go. Okay, my room
for putting her out. She's financially able to, you know,
provide herself and on her own. And she blew aped
at me, staying there was no big deal. It was
in the middle of the night, and when she left
out of her room, she went straight to the restroom,
(35:12):
and I said, you should have just put on the road.
But guess what, she doesn't even own a road. It's
all about decency and respect for herself and my house
and others who are here. Am I wrong for telling
her she has to leave?
Speaker 7 (35:24):
I don't think you're wrong, because, like you say, she
she financially able to find for herself, and that's your household,
and you got rules, and I think people definitely need
to respect each other's rules.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
You know, it's your house.
Speaker 7 (35:37):
I don't think you wrong, but like, have you ever
had any like extensive conversation where her and you know,
explains her like this is this is what I expect
in my household. You know, have y'all ever had that
conversation or was it? Did it go from it?
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (35:54):
But it went south.
Speaker 9 (35:55):
She was very expensive. She was yelling at me.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
You know, it feels like she's going through a lot,
Like what's happening, Like you said, she has to get
back on her feet.
Speaker 6 (36:03):
What's happening in her life?
Speaker 9 (36:05):
She learned a good pan job and she was able
to save up, you know, all her checks, and she
was able to rent an apartment, which is good because
I'm not gonna put her out in the streets if
she didn't have a place to live.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Right, But when I.
Speaker 9 (36:20):
Told her my expectations on what I saw on the
video and how disrespectful was, I said, you have to leave.
Speaker 13 (36:27):
You know.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
I will say this though on the behalf of her
It was the middle of the night. She went to
the bathroom and then back in the room real fast.
She probably wasn't expecting anybody to see her at all.
And you have cameras, that's why you saw it. But
it's not like it was you know somebody was in there.
Maybe she just was like, I'm gonna just run into
the bathroom.
Speaker 9 (36:44):
But guess what, my spouse had already left for work,
but he came back because he forgot his cell phone
and they could have easily crossed her.
Speaker 6 (36:53):
And that's the other thing he left for work. She
probably thought no one was there.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Intention also does matter, you know, And I just feel like,
what was she thinking when that happened. The one thing,
there's always a mean where when women come home, the
first thing you do is want to take your bra
of you know what I'm saying, and so yeah.
Speaker 11 (37:09):
But if that had already told her how I felt
about it, and then she's gonna turn around and walk
around half naked, that means she don't she doesn't have
any respect for me herself, and what I told her
the first time just went over her head.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Okay, I understand this. It feels like you two will
continue to bump heads. I don't know if it's necessarily
that she's trying to disrespect you or if it's just
a difference in how we are at home, but it
is your house, and if you have certain rules that
you want her to abide by and she can't abide
by those rules, then you guys can't coexist in the
same space. But I think that you also have to
(37:43):
give her some grace on the fact that she's not
doing anything intentionally, you know, and.
Speaker 6 (37:49):
Also try to hear her out.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Maybe y'all can't live together, and she has the option
to do that, but you also have to listen to
her as well.
Speaker 14 (37:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (37:57):
Yeah, I talk to a close friend of mine and
she was tell me, you know, we need to have
a long talk before she does leave, because life is
too short and she can go out here and you
never know what could happen, or I could leave in
something that happen.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
Yeah, because these seemed like minor things. So I hope
you guys can work through this.
Speaker 9 (38:13):
I'm sure we will. I just wanted to get some
input from you.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Yeah, just think about intention and have that conversation. And
I wish you guys so much luck. That's your family,
that's your child, that's your flesh and blood. I know.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
Okay, leave with love exactly. Okay, thank you for calling.
Speaker 10 (38:29):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
No, have a nice afternoon you too, all right, Well
that was ask ye eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty in case you couldn't get through, you could
still leave a message.
Speaker 6 (38:38):
It was like, you know, she was like, am I wrong?
She was not gonna be wrong, no matter what was
already made up.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
But in the meantime, we do have Coach Jesse and
Stephanie Fisher joining us for a health is Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (38:50):
It's way up.
Speaker 12 (38:51):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 8 (38:58):
This is wealth Wednesday. Are way up with Angela ye?
Speaker 6 (39:01):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (39:02):
It's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
of course I have my good friend Coach Jesse here
with me. I also have Stephanie Fisher, who you guys
will get to meet today. Yes, but even before we
get into that, I just want to congratulate Coach to
Jesse on your daughter Nia.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
She is actually starring as the Lion King on Broadway. Yes,
and this is actually her vocal Coach.
Speaker 16 (39:27):
Oh, I guess how I met Stephanie, who you'll get
to hear more. But oh my god, that is how
we connected. Oh, teach me a little something. No, I'm
kidding is now, I don't want to hurt anybody. This
woman is renowned, she travels all over the world.
Speaker 6 (39:42):
Okay, well listen the reason that we're here today.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
It is a new year, and we know in the
beginning of the year a lot of people are trying
to do her recess. And I've done this with you before,
but it's been a while. Yes, so it's the twenty
twenty four research challenge. So coach to Jesse, tell us
about this.
Speaker 16 (39:57):
Yes, so it's the fast to we set our bodies
detox functions so that we heal from the inside out. Right,
if I were to ask you if fasting and detoxing
is the same, what would you say?
Speaker 13 (40:09):
No?
Speaker 6 (40:10):
But many people don't know what they don't know.
Speaker 16 (40:13):
So detoxing is your body's natural ability to eliminate toxins
from the body. And it is an involuntary process that
means you do it through respiration, breathing, defecation, pooping, urination, peeing,
and perspiration sweating. But the toxic world that we live in,
the foods, the stress, right, the people, all of that,
(40:38):
it clogs up the dream. So what happens is now
the vital organs deliver the lungs, the kidneys, right, the
digestice system and the lymphatic system. All of those major
organs now become burdened and they can't do their job
like they normally do.
Speaker 6 (40:53):
So what a fast is.
Speaker 16 (40:54):
A fast is a voluntary process to reset your body's
detox functions through eliminating food, certain drinks right or no foods.
It's basically allowing your body to rest so now it
can reset and repair so that those detox functions can
work normally again.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Right now, I'm talking to my girl coach to Jesse
from the detays you did the detox the fast, Yes, fast,
the fast, and one of like, I have a group
of friends in a group text right now, right now,
hit me up yesterday, day six, they're on this fourteen
day fast and so the first couple of way the
(41:31):
water fast, the water fast. She had a pretty bad headache, yes,
and she told me, she was like, I don't know
if I'll be able to finish this. This headache is
so bad. And I told this in the group text.
I said, sometimes this is like a withdrawal from a
Hello ring ringing.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
Your body is.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
Sugar and the other person who's doing it. She drank
a lot, smoked a lot. You know, a lot of
fried foods and things like that, and when your body
is trying to, you know, get off of that.
Speaker 16 (42:01):
That is like going through withdrawal absolutely. And then the
other thing is you have to make sure in the
fasting process you're doing all the right protocols. So let's
just first hit on the right benefits of fasting. The
benefits of fasting are gut health, your immune system, balancing
your hormones for female and male. Right, that's really important.
Reversing allergies. A lot of times people think, oh, I
(42:24):
just have allergies. No, you have a heavy toxic load
that makes you reactive, super reactive to things, and.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
People don't allergies later in life, bag like I never
used to be allergic to this.
Speaker 16 (42:35):
Well, many times it's because of their toxic load. So
when they do the fast, they're like, oh, I used
to have allergies. I don't have them anymore because your
body is able to now do the proper toxic elimination
on its own. Then you have things like healthy hair
and skin, lowered blood sugar levels, a lot of people
being able to reverse diabetes like Eric Adams right, mayor
(42:55):
atoms of course, fired up libido.
Speaker 6 (42:58):
And sex life.
Speaker 13 (42:58):
We like that.
Speaker 5 (43:00):
We love that.
Speaker 16 (43:00):
We love that maximize energy levels, better mental clarity, rejuvenating
sleep and doing the fastest help with your cycle as well.
Speaker 6 (43:09):
So for us we have the seven Day. We do
also have a thirty day Fruit Fast.
Speaker 16 (43:14):
And our favorite is the Water Fast because it's aggressive,
very testive, but you get snatched from the inside out
in fourteen days for real.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
All right, Well, we have Coach Jesse in the building
for a health is both Wednesday and also Stephanie Fisher
who has completed the Detox Now program the Fast and
when we come back we have more, so you guys
may want to join us.
Speaker 6 (43:36):
It's way up.
Speaker 12 (43:36):
I've had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 8 (43:43):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 6 (43:46):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Its way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
Coach Jesse is here. You know her from the Detox Now.
She helps women get rid of fibrary. She helps you,
guys do this fast that I've done before that I'm
supposed to be doing right now. But I just had
a taco and we have Stephanie Fisher, who just recently
went through the fast and she does it now twice
a year.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
Was Stephanie was, whin did you do the fourteen day?
Speaker 5 (44:08):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (44:08):
Wow? So tell us what made you decide to love
her to do this fast.
Speaker 17 (44:14):
So I work in the industry. I travel with a
lot of artists, so I'm always on the go, and
there were things going on in my body that I
was ignoring, and I just took on to just be
a normal part of just who I was. And that
included being in pain every day and insomnia, and so
it wasn't until I finally my body was crying out
(44:35):
so much and I had a physical and my doctor
wanted me to see a cardiologist because hypertension runs in
my family. I go to the cardiologists and I find
out that there's all this inflammation in my blood, which
was why I was in pain all the time. I
had a slightly enlarged heart, you know, pressure through the roof,
(44:56):
and so he immediately put me on a blood pressure medication.
I was not happy, and so I immediately reached out
to Jesse. I said, Okay, I'm going to give it
a try. Did the fast, and I remember telling her.
You know, I woke up this morning and I cried
because I wasn't in pain for the first time, and
I hadn't known life like that in years, to wake
(45:16):
up and not feel achy and joints, you know, torn apart.
So feeling that and of course, I mean, you feel
great about losing the weight, but to being able to
sleep and just feeling energy, you know, not feeling like
I'm just dragging myself through the day.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Can you talk about how you felt during the fast
since we're talking about how you felt after.
Speaker 17 (45:35):
Okay, the hardest part was definitely the first three days.
Speaker 10 (45:39):
For me.
Speaker 17 (45:39):
I experienced mainly just headaches in the beginning, but by
the time I got to day five, like that thing
switched for me.
Speaker 6 (45:46):
I was already back in the gym. That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
That's me.
Speaker 17 (45:51):
And I want to say this, making sure that you
have a plan for after very important as well.
Speaker 16 (45:58):
Right So, life after the fast for us is about
how to keep the weight off in the toxins out.
After the fast. You have the best gift your body,
which is brilliant. When you start to reintroduce food, it
tells you what you should limit or avoid.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Right now, I'm talking to my Girl code to Jesse
from the Detoxnow dot com and Stephanie Fisher. For some people,
it is going to be really hard. I've known people
who have had to drop out of it. What are
some things you know that could be harmful to being
able to successfully cos.
Speaker 16 (46:29):
I love that you said that, because guess what, talk
to your physician to make sure is it okay for
me to do a fast like this. That's why we have,
you know, free consultations that are available every week, as
well as our quiz that's at the detoxnow dot com
so that people we can help you guide you through
the process of finding what's right for you and the
support system. Just like you have a free group chat,
(46:49):
we actually have a free reset group in our app,
the Detox Living App, where we have a virtual coach
who answers questions.
Speaker 6 (46:56):
I'm on day five, what's up? I'm about to give up? No,
don't give up.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Much easier when you have a group to do it with, honestly.
And of course we have a code okay way up
for thirty percent off. That's way up, one word for
thirty percent off.
Speaker 16 (47:10):
We're offering three free check in sessions with doctor Armoon
and I so you'll actually have even more support while
you're doing it together. Whether you're doing the waterfast or
the fruit Fast or the intermittent, you're gonna have support.
Speaker 6 (47:22):
We're gonna kick it off next week, all right.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Well again, what's the website for people who are listening
and so they can get that thirty percent off?

My secret is that I was have an affair with
my married mechanics and he wanted me to be his
only woman, even though he was married, going home people
and his wife every day. So the secret is that
I was not being loyal to him. He thought I was.
He thought that I I was in love and that
he was my only man. But I was also sleeping
with the baby daddy when he couldn't show up and
(50:06):
he was home with his wife. I had be somebody there, see,
So when I.
Speaker 18 (50:09):
Was in college. I was a residential advisor, and I
had a key that unlocked all of these other keys
to every other room in the building. I lost that,
so I had to fake a robbery so I wouldn't
get expelled from the school and face a sixty thousand
dollars fine for losing the keys. I had one of
my friends punch me in the face. Police came for
out of a report. I had to get a couple
(50:29):
of stitches. Long story short, seven years of past, so
I'm no longer able to be looked at for that.
Speaker 8 (50:35):
So yeah, going way out. I was with Angela Ye
with
