(00:36):
five nine. V's was next to me. Also, shout out
to Baby Money. He was there. It was a it
was three one three days when I went. Then I

shout out to everybody in Detroit. I did. I played
top golf. I really am.

of your detox?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I'm turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those
who are doing greatness the light on. Sh It's time
to shine a light on.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
All right? Well, you put Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee,
Mayne else here with me. Good morning, Good morning, and
let's shine a light And today I just wanted to
spread some love and shine a light on. Regina King.
She recently just did her first TV interview about you know,
since her son Ian Alexander Junior's death, and I just
(02:24):
want to send her some love and light today. She
was on Good Morning America yesterday. She spoke to Robin
Roberts and it's been two years since this happened. He
died by suicide in January of twenty twenty two. He
was only twenty six years old, and he was also
her only child. So I can't even imagine what that
(02:45):
must be like to go through something like that. But
you know, I feel like she is the type of
person who everybody who knows her has great positive things
to say about her. She's had an amazing career and
I know it's a difficult time. And she's also in
the new Shirley Chishm movie.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
Oh yeah, right right, Yes, I met her once years ago.
Okay and Juliett we partied together.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Oh that's nice. I love to see I've always admired
just see her.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Whole yeah, since she was young.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
And how she's evolved in the opportunities that she's provided
for other people. Shirley Chisholm is one of my favorite
historical figures, so I'm excited to see that movie. But anyway,
I just thought about her because that was just a
really touching it is interview. So shout out to Regina King.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
My aunt lost her son that way, my cousin.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
That's I mean, it's just never easy because you don't
know what people were going through.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
No, no, you never know.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
All right, Well, who do you want to shine a
light on? Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty fanny,
Who you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
I actually call this shin the light on right now today?
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Oh really?
Speaker 6 (03:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I love everything you got going.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
If you think the movies like I'm here for and
I'm modes for.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
You, thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
I appreciate that, the music, the movies. He's got a
TV show he's working on, he's got his own day.
Where are you from, Troy?
Speaker 6 (04:08):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Oh we gotta go to Detroit.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
Too.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
He did a too B movie. All right, but thank
you so much for calling and shining light on our guy.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
You're welcome.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
You have a great day. Thank you you too, you too?
Speaker 1 (04:25):
All right? Well that was shine a light eight hundred
two nine fifty one fifty In case you couldn't get
through it. When we come back, we have your yet
and since we have new Cardi B music premiering All
Day today. Let's talk about another rapper, another woman rapper
who she actually is related to. It's way up.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
This sas in the rooms from industry shade to all
of gossip out Angela's speeling that eat.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
It's way up. I'm Angela yee manos in the building right.
We've been debating about this or trying to figure to
figure out behind the scenes this whole Grilla. But Cardi
b was I'm a big boy and says that Glorilla
is related to her. Here's what she said.
Speaker 8 (05:06):
There's some such story like I don't like to put
my family busy, like, but he used to push weight
and everything, and there was like this one time that
like he lived in Tennessee and whatever, so he ain't
really told like my grandma that like he was dealing
with somebody over there and then like he had like
a kid out there, and that's Gloriala's dad and everything.
So that's what like Medica is related.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Now, what does that make them. Let's go through their
family tree.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
If they have the same grandmother, If if that grandmother's son,
which makes that Cardi's own goal is Gloriala's dad, then cousins, cousinsky,
the cousins, if that's what it is.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
All right?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
So and Glorilla, by the way, has said before this
sis related to Cardi and she also says she's related
to a lil Uzi. All right, so we all got
to do our African ancestry, see who was related to who?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
And he was just pushing weight she talk about it.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
But I mean, imagine that family. They need to do
a family song.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
We might be related me and you are.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
We definitely are, all right now ViBe's cartel. A judge
in Jamaica has overturned his long standing murder conviction and
that appeal has been made official as of yesterday. A
Privy Council in London concluded that one of the jurors
in the case had been bribed and as such should
not have been on the jury. So they don't know
(06:32):
if they're going to try his case again. But he
has been freed penning the outcome of the reach out. Yeah,
so he's out now. He was given a life sentence
alongside his co defendants back in twenty fourteen for the
murder of a promoter, Clive Lizard Williams, and they said
one of the jurors. I guess had been offered money
for a certain outcome in the case and never should
(06:55):
have been on that jury. So that's why this was
all overturned in him. Yeah, and so he apparently has
had a terrible time in prison since he was sentenced,
and his family was asking for a medical intervention back
in May. They said his illness is life threatening. His
neck was swollen, they said his face was swollen, and
(07:15):
he always wears glasses because his eyes are protruding, and
they're saying that's a symptom of Graves disease, so it
can also be fatal if left untreated. So they were
definitely celebrating. I was watching on the what was happening
in Jamaica and seeing.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
Everybody definite and they should just leave him free to
be sick like that anyway, all right.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
In fifty cent has revealed that Power Book two Ghosts
will end with the upcoming fourth season, and he said
the two part final season of Power Ghost premiere's June
seventh on Stars Now. Unfortunately, Michael Rainey Junior says that
he found out about the cancelation of Power Book two
Ghosts along with everyone else. Here's what he said, I
found out the same time I found But don't trip
(07:58):
y'all a lot of me and Gianni. I mean, they
do tell.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Them, but like I don't know.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
I guess sometimes they just want to say, Bro, that's
just what it is.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
That's the higher ups.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Oh, Erk Saint Patrick, what fifty cent said? Yeah, because
Michael Rainey Junior don't answer his phone. You don't know
what fifty's calling you for. And by the way, just
to throw this out there, Sisters, Tyler Perry Sisters has
set their season seven return dates ahead of the mid
season finale. So there's a lot going on here. But
get ready for all of that. You know, I've been
(08:29):
watching that now faithfully. But it's going to return for
the second half of season seven on Wednesday, May twenty second,
and that is your yet when we come back, we
have about last night, and like I said, a lot
to discuss here. In the meantime, here's some Lee and
Tierra Thomas. This is a classic bad It's way.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Up yeah last night, So about last.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Night last night? Last night? These I went down It's
way up a man to la yee Maino's right, why Mayna,
what did you do last.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Night last night?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
We was at the Chelsea house man Happy birthday to
my boys, Zoom Yellow. I didn't eat nothing, I was
we were celebrating a little bit. How hard is it
to be out around full torture? Okay, it is right torture.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Well, these past couple of days, I've been on the road.
I was in Detroit, uh, checking on my building in town.
So things are going along really. But we had a
meeting at the building yesterday. We are going to start
preleasing soon, which is exciting. So that means that we're
going to be looking for tenants for the unit. And
(09:36):
they did tell us like while they've been working on
the building, people have been coming up and asking when
it's just going to start being available for lease. So
I think people will probably be able to start moving
in in May and we'll start that process. And now
of getting things together.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Yeah, we watched that thing just unfold.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh let me tell you something. It's quite It's been
quite a journey at it and it's still a long
journey ahead of us because right now we do have
to get out of this bridge loan into a perm loan,
and so that's also finding the best rate that we can.
We're also trying to make sure that you know, more
than half the building is going to be affordable housing,
(10:14):
because that's a big crisis that is happening right now
in the United States and in Detroit, and it's in
midtown and it's a prime, prime location with not a
lot of real estate available. But if you could have
seen what the condition of this building was like before
we got it, I mean there was literally bedbugs, feces
on the walls. It was what was the building first
(10:34):
it was a residential building, but it was in complete disrepair,
like there were people squatting there. Yeah, it was awful,
and so we really did want to make sure that
we you know, we did everything new, brand new floors,
brand new walls, brand new everything, countertops, appliances, everything is
brand new in the building. And so we haven't put
(10:55):
the appliances in yet that we're going to put those
in one by one. It's people moving because you don't
want to have a building that's not occupied with all
these brand new appliances in it. So yeah, missing, yeah,
that would not be a great idea. And then again
I went to the Pistons game. They actually won, So
they won the last three out of their last four games,
so congrats to them on that three out of the
(11:17):
last four games is dope. It's great for them, and
it was a good time. Shout out to v Shout
out to Baby Money, to Royce the five nine, to
everybody I saw while I was there. It was three
one three day and I had a great time. Went
to Craig Cafe afterward. Jasmine Renee came out. Also, DJK Dirty,
everybody was outside, so Jessica Nabongo, I had just a
(11:39):
good time seeing all my Detroit people. It's my girl,
chantal Ebony, So shout out to y'all and Brooklyn Zone.
Taj Gibson now plays for the Pistons.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
Touch is over there.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Yeah, he plays for the Pistons right now.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Shout out to Todje Gibson.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
All right, well that was your ut. And when we
come back, tell us a secret. Eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty any secret that you have for
we are here to listen to it. Mano is here,
and y'all love when he's here. All you pretending you
don't want to be judge, but you know you want
to be dodged. Eight hundred nine to fifty one fifty.
Tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
This is a judgment. Freeze on, tell us a secret,
all right and.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Sway up at Angela yee, I'm Angela ye a. Mano's here. No,
we definitely want to hear your secrets. Eight hundred to
none to fifty one fifty anonymous caller, what's your secret?
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I've been dating this guy for a few months and
we haven't been able to have like any sexual intercourse
because he like I'm not saying he suffered from ED,
but like he can't get it up.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Okay, so he suffers from ED, but he also just.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Doesn't have any sexual urgis, like he doesn't have anything
going on where like it's nothing working.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Maybe he don't like women.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
No, well, he used to be in that military and
he said he had like bring batman.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Oh so he's got some things going on.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Oh yeah, I think going on. So he made his
self an appointment to get like this clinical trial medication.
But I still decided to feel like I want to
eat for me to still be sexual, like to have
my satisfaction. I'm still choosing to sleep with other people
until he figures it out.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Wow, why are you still with him?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Then?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
You just love him as a person but not Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
He's a good person, and we're like, it's only been
a couple of months, so it's like and we've talked
about it, so I've just had to just let him know,
like until like you figure that out, that's what I'm
gonna want to do.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Okay, all right, I mean it's been a couple of months.
Maybe that's not your man though, that's just somebody you're dating.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
In that case, I don't see a future in it.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Oh wow, Well there's no future in it. But I
hope he does handle his issues and figure out what's
going on with him.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, I think that hep he does.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Hey, anonymous, Colin, how are you?
Speaker 4 (13:53):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (13:54):
I'm good. You want to tell us a secret?
Speaker 7 (13:56):
I met a woman about five six months ago and
we've been off and on with each other, and a
couple of months ago I ended up linking up with
another woman. So she's in the South Carolina Greenville area,
and I happened to meet this other woman in the
Atlanta area.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Okay, it turns out to be as her daughter, So
you gotta type.
Speaker 7 (14:22):
Now this is my thing, like the like her and
I We've been back and forth for the last couple
of months. And I'm the only one that knows about
both of them, and I'm trying to not have karma
come back to me.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
You got to keep that a secret, though, because it's
not like you knew that. You didn't go in with
intentions and knocking her daughter all. Now, Howard is her daughter?
Speaker 7 (14:42):
She's twenty seven, So what are you going to do?
The mom is forty four and I'm forty three, and
I'm a big Santa Karma, and i am not trying
to have this come back to me.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Well, sometimes you just got to keep some to yourself.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
You know what, though he didn't do anything purposes it.
It's nothing that you you have to keep it because
you didn't purposely plot that.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:03):
Yeah, So lately for the last two weeks, I've been
radio signing.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
With both of them.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Yeah, keep that under your hat though, because unless somebody
wants to bring you around the family, and then you
got a problem if if you know, if you're rocking.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
With them, what I'm trying to avoid, are you like
rocking with the mother like that? Like you feeling all
like that?
Speaker 7 (15:19):
It's just it is what it is type thing. She's
forty like I said, she's forty three. I'm forty you know,
I'm forty three. So it's just like we're having fun.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
So fair to say that if you had a choice
the mom.
Speaker 7 (15:33):
They're both equal, they're opposite.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Sometimes you just got to put them both together.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
From the tree. All right, Well, listen, you ain't doing
nothing wrong. But bless you, thank you, sar. We'll keep
your secret. It's safe here, Thank you very much.
Speaker 7 (15:49):
I have a good one you too.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
That was tell us a secret eight hundred and two
nine fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, we have your ye tea.
And let's talk about this young Thug trial. There was
more chaos in the courtroom. It's way up, about to
blow the.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Lead off this but let's get it angelus building that.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Yeeze, Come and get to see it's way up? What up?
May now? You ready for some yet?
Speaker 4 (16:12):
I am always all right.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Well, let's talk about your boy young thug first and
his free thug man. Yes, his why so Rico trial
is still going on and there's been so many shenanigans
in the courtroom. You get to watch it on live
and in a clip that was shared Meghan Kuniff. Of course,
is always posting about what's going on. During the trial,
two of the attorneys ended up getting into an argument
and they were told to take it down a notch.
(16:35):
Listen to this. I'm sorry, I was comfort I know
I speaking both of you all need to just take
it down a notch. Yeah, sheriff's deputy actually had to
(16:57):
step in.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
That's good because it'll help get a mistrial for my dog,
like free him. Yes, this whole thing has been Yeah,
because it's not a slam dunk case like they thought
they had.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
All right, and Kodak Black, it seems like he and
Mellow Racks maybe back together. You know, remember they had
been engaged back in February of twenty twenty one, and
Melo Racks actually talked about their engagement when she was
on way up at the Angela. Gee, when was your
first time getting engaged? Yeah, he got pardoned, he got out,
(17:29):
thank god, and he was just kicking it and got engaged.
Did you really think you were gonna get married because
you were only nineteen when you got a fairy Lola Land,
I really am like I'm a wife, I learned real quick.
So like, did you get to keep the ring? Okay,
that's nice. If they do get back together and say,
get engaged again, does he have to get another ring
(17:50):
or does she just put the same one back on.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
That's a good question.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Mm hmm. Well he posted her on his page and said,
and she's oh she out of Broward and so yet
No I will I gave you or maybe you just
add a little something to it. Definitely keep it and
at what she got rid of it, then who sold it?
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Man?
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Well, you know, then you got to get another one,
all right now. Jack Boy unfortunately was arrested and that
is on drug and weapons charges in Florida. He's being
held in police custody without bond. According to CBS twelve,
police detectives said they pulled over a suburban and they
noticed the vehicle's windows were two tented that they then
(18:32):
say they detected the center of burnt marijuana. They noticed
a handgun during the traffic stop. They were aware that
Jack Boy was a convicted felon with a suspended driver's
license and he was behind the wheel and so he
was then taken into custody soon after, and his brother
Rodney then arrived at the scene and told authorities that
the gun found inside the vehicle belonged to him. He
said he forgot to take the firearm with him upon
(18:55):
exiting the vehicle prior to the traffic stop. So we'll
see what happen.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
He was just up here.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yes, he was unfortunate, all right. And Alan Iverson, there
is a documentary that's going to be coming from Shaquille
O'Neill's Jersey Legends, Steph and Steph Curry's Unanimous Bound for
Prime Video. So Amazon has greenlit this documentary and it's
going to look at the way in which Alan Iverson's
authentic voice and unapologetic expansion of style paved the way
(19:25):
for future generations and revolutionize the culture of the NBA.
It was the first, so and listen, still incredible, incredibly.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Raised tattoos, the jersey, the long shorts, like the hip hop.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
He was the first.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are flying under the radar, but we definitely
feel are important. One thing we want to talk about
is this o Zepic lawsuit that's going on right now.
What you need to know about it, and a lot
of people are on that ozempic all right, So just beware,
(20:03):
all right, it's way.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Up the news news. This in the news that relates
to you. These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
It's way up a mandelaye manos right here, all right
under the radar. O zempic. There is a lawsuit right now.
And you know, if you don't know already, Ozempic is
one of the newest weight management medications. It's been in
the news as an anti obesit drug as well, but
they're also in the news a lot because of the
potentially dangerous side effects like gallbladder disease, gastroparesis, which is
(20:37):
a weakening of the stomach that can lead to stomach
pain and vomiting. And so now people are starting to
take legal action because of all these side effects. Yes,
and so originally ozempic was not designed as an anti
obesity drug. It was for diabetes, you know, and now
people have been using that. But now there are these
allegations that the drug causes a dangerous condition where like
(21:00):
I said, the nerves and muscles in your stomach walls
severely weaken, which makes it difficult for the stomach to
transfer food to your small intestine, which means blockages or
obstruction that can lead to nausea and diarrhea, and it
can't be cured. It can only be managed medically and surgically,
So anybody who gets this condition is potentially facing a
lifetime of medical interventions. Then there's also other side effects
(21:25):
that we've heard of that have been concealed according to
these plaintiffs, that's what they're alleging or downplayed, and so
there's a lot of different things if you look at
what this lawsuit contains that are being made all these
different allegations, and there's also what they are saying that
could be another issue is counterfeit ozempic. They're saying that
(21:46):
a counterfeit ozimpic pen had been found in the United States,
and you know, some people might have average reaction to that,
but that's not their fault if it's a counterfeit one.
So you know, we'll see what's going to happen with
these losses, but they do fit like there's going to
be an increasing number of lawsuits, and every Olympic lawsuit
to date has been filed by someone who used the
(22:06):
drug and developed gastro intestinal problems. And lawyers will typically
take clients who can show that they experience chronic vomiting
or diarrhea for a month or more. And that's a
small percentage of the people who use the jobs. Wild yeah,
I can't even imagine that one vomit is enough for mission,
all right. And porn hub is blocking access to the
(22:27):
site in Texas and that's over age verification law. So
it's no longer available in Texas. That's very weird. Why
do they not want to verify people's ages? But it's
now unavailable in Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
We think good things not here because we need that, right,
need our porn huh right.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
You use porn hubs, all right? Well that is you're
under the radar.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
You know.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
We got the way up mixed at the top of
the hour plus Keishakole she's on her Love Hard tour
and she's going to be joining us. It's way up.
It's out like Angelie, like a angela man.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
This is yeaty way off. It's way up. I'm here,
mayno's here, no man, Yeah, time for some yeat. If
you were watching us on live, you know why I said, Oh,
but I posted it on my game with me on
the radio. We got to listen to Mano doing a read.
It's not easy, guys. All right, well, let's get into
(23:24):
this yeat bad baby is officially a mom. She posted
the first photo of her baby girl, all right. She
posted a little black and white selfie that was shared
to her ig story, which featured the top of the
newborn's head. And she didn't share anything else but congratulations
to her for having a baby. In listen, anytime that
(23:46):
somebody can go through childbirth and both of y'all come
out healthy and alive, that is a blessing. So I
just want to say congratulations to both of them. All right, out,
let's get into this other news. So Kanye is saying that, uh,
he once asked Safari, would Nicki Mina be down for
(24:10):
a threesome with him and with Amber Rose? He said,
he said this to Big Boy on Big Boy TV.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
He didn't know that they was together.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Here's what he said, We're down and doing dark fantasy
and he in the studio. I'm just thinking she would
have bad.
Speaker 9 (24:24):
I'm like, yoar, you think Nicki had left me a
Amber hitd like what she said this, Like, you got
to make these wraps.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
True, Wow, what would you do in that situation?
Speaker 4 (24:39):
I would have that would have never been me.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
He didn't know.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
You gonna know what's different?
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Well, Safari commented, Yeah, that happened with a whole bunch
of laughing emojis. I remember when Safari used to be
with Nikki all the time.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
We never knew. He was just kind of like part
of her crew.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I first met her when I was I'm serious and
so yeah, all right, now you'll appreciate this. And I
actually put this story in here really just because of you.
Jason Derulo is on his New King World tour and
recently he had to take a break. He was in leeds,
Englynn and he had to use the restroom. Here's what
(25:19):
happened when he told the audience, I'm so sorry, do
you mind I use the bathroom? Real quick? At me? Yeah,
I thought of you, because that's how you are in here.
You're like, I gotta go to the bathroom.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
But I did.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
I did think about that. What happens when you got
a pee and you're on stage performing for you know,
two hours? You sorry, guys gotta go to the bathroom.
But that's why they also need breaks, like there's gotta
be a time where you're like ladies and gentlemen in
the band, and then the band plays for a little
while and you're like, oh, I gotta run to the bathroom.
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, it is a Friday, so you know what
that means. We have a new music Friday, all the
(26:02):
new special. So there's a lot of great things out today.
We'll talk about it as Way Up.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
It has since with its relationship for career advice. Angela's
dropping facts.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
This is aske what's up? His way up with Angela? Yee?
I'm Angela Yee and my guy Mayno's with me. All right,
it's time for Assi, my award winning advice. Let me
not get it wrong, all right, So we have a
rich on the line. What's that rich today?
Speaker 7 (26:25):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (26:26):
I'm good. It's me and Mana and we're ready for
your question.
Speaker 10 (26:29):
Me and my girl have to join account, right, we're
supposed to be going to the strips in Mexico. Okay,
So she give me the link. I pay for it,
so I get the notification. You know, we got the
join account. The three thousand dollars came out of my account.
Now she don't know that I have her bank account
app on my phone, her individual account.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
How do you have that on your phone?
Speaker 10 (26:51):
Her phone broke one time.
Speaker 6 (26:52):
Okay, you're saying real quick, so she just get her
on my phone.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Okay, so go ahead.
Speaker 10 (26:57):
So when I get the notification, got the three thousand
came out, I get another notification. Three thousand is depositive.
It's her account, like right away. And then she said
she couldn't go.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Oh so the link just deposited the money into her
account and it was never for the trip, right right?
So what you should do first ask and be like, hey,
can I have the receipt from I need the receipt
from my accountant? Is asking for the receipt for the trip?
Speaker 4 (27:22):
You getting finessed? My boy? Yeah, you getting finessed.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
But I feel like if she could create this link,
she can also create some fake receipts.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
She could do anything nothing.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
How long you have been together, I would never I
can't imagine being with somebody who's stealing money from from
me that way. So I feel like, even though she's
not honest, you have to be like, I know you're lying.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Do you love her?
Speaker 1 (27:46):
And you may not want to at first say that
you have the app because at least you have that
as evidence in case she doesn't come clean. But I
would go to her and say, what is really happening
with this money? I know you didn't pay for the trip?
Speaker 7 (27:58):
Yeah pretty much.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Yeah, that's a lie.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
And you don't have to tell her how you know,
just say what's happening with this money? I know you
didn't pay for the trip. If she doesn't give you
a truthful answer to say, I know the money went
into your account, if she still is an honest you
can say I actually have the app and I saw it.
So since you're lying, you know about things, and maybe
it's wrong that I still have access, but thank god
(28:23):
I did and was able to see it. I ended
up getting a notification.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
She probably using that money to go on a trip
with her other man.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
See everything that's going on with her money in her
account anyway.
Speaker 10 (28:34):
Yeah, and there's nothing crazy ever happens, but this.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yeah, that's why. And let me tell you, so, the
money is a major thing. If you can't be honest
with your significant other about that, that's a real issue.
And so yes, you definitely need to say something to
her and see if she'll confess to whatever it is
that she has going on, whatever the issue is. But
you can't trust somebody like that. Yeah, you're right, and
then transfer the money back to the account. But it
(29:01):
feels like y'all need to shut that joint account down.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Do y'all live together?
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Nah?
Speaker 1 (29:06):
So you got to join account, joint account anyway.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
And you got to join account when somebody you don't
even live with.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
But but why do you guys have a joint account?
What was the thinking behind it?
Speaker 10 (29:16):
You know, I just want to prove, you know, I
just want to prove I'm all for her, Like, look,
let's just do this together. Let's do this together.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
That was your idea. Yeah, well listen, you live and
you learn you do not calmingle your money like that.
You're right, all right, Well, Rich, thank you for calling,
and Rich we want you to stay rich.
Speaker 10 (29:33):
Okay, all right, a man gratulation on that man o day.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Thank you, my brother pro all right, thanks for calling.
Good luck. Well that was ask ye eight hundred and
two nine two fifty one fifty. And when we come back,
Keisha Cole is joining us. She's in the midst of
the love heart to her, so she wants to tell
us all about what's going down and what she has
happening personally. Is way up this, Yeah, y'all more way
up with Angela on now you know.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
What it is.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
What's up? It's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And guess what, Keisha Cole is here with me. Keisha Cole,
you are out here working so hard. We were just
talking about everything that you had to do these past
couple of days.
Speaker 6 (30:11):
Yes, yes, yes, it's all a part of this plan.
So it's all good.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
While you've been on tour right now, the Love Hard Tour. Yes,
and I've been seeing amazing footage. How do you feel.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
I feel good about it. We finally get into I
think it'll be over by the time I get to
a place where really completely comfortable. But you know, the
fans are been they've been enjoying it, so that's all
we can ask for.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
What do you mean by completely comfortable?
Speaker 6 (30:33):
You know, it's a problem with like set list and
like some people haven't seen me in forever, so they
want to hear older songs. And then I'm looking at
it from a standpoint of there's others, you know, fans
on the road, So I'm like, I don't know, they
maybe just shit hear they hits. I don't know. I
feel like I'm getting to a place where it could
be more comfortable now though for everybody, that's good.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
And you've been doing so much. You have the Lifetime
movie that came out last year too. Yeah that was
your first acting Yeah, that's crazy to me. I always
would have thought that this feels like a space you
would be comfortable in, just because I guess you've done
reality shows based on your life, so you've been on camera,
so it feels like a natural progression.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
I actually wanted to play myself in my movie. We
on the reality show. We had a conversation with John Singleton.
I actually had a meeting with him on the reality show,
telling him that I wanted to film the movie on
my life because I was signed to Interscope.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
So Fifty had.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Done one, eminem had done one, and we were in
the work to do in mine. But he didn't want
me to play myself, so I was like, yeah, that's
not gonna yeah, because they played themselves in their movies yeap.
So that was my whole And I actually talked to
Fifty not too long ago, and I was telling him
that story, I was like, you know, and I feel
like with the lifetime thing, I wasn't able to completely
(31:51):
tell my story. It was more of, you know, everything
that transpired between me and my mother and our lives.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
So it was kind of like you paying to your
mother too. Yeah, how was it for you even filming that?
Because even the way that it starts, I cried a lot.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
I cried when I said I wasn't gonna cry, so
I would think, yeah, maybe it was a little it
was like it felt like my last goodbye to her.
I mean, but you know, that is what I was
telling fifty. It's so many different aspects that I just
didn't get to tell because for one, it was lifetime
and a lot of my encounters they wanted to share
(32:30):
at that point. And then especially it's so a little
amount of time to really even tell as much as
I was been gone through, like you know in the Triumph.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
So I think that very like minor touched on things.
Right now, I'm talking to Keisha Cole. Now you had
also posted this. I should get a check for my
taste in man, this a disability? Oh god, Now, Kesha,
you know I'm gonna ask you about It's so true.
(33:01):
So what's going on now with your personal life?
Speaker 8 (33:03):
Like?
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Have you been nothing?
Speaker 6 (33:05):
Nothing at all? But it's all good. I got so
much going on, so it's not it's not like a thing.
I think it's time that's just for everything. So what
are some things you feel like you've learned from past relationships?
I really want a nice guy, but then I don't
want a guy that I can run over. I'm kind
of like, you know what I'm saying. I'm just like,
I'm from Oakland.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
You're right, right, So sometimes if you let me, maybe
I will.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
I don't know, you know what I'm saying. So you
gotta be It's just like a fine line between you
could be really sweet but strong in different ways.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
I guess.
Speaker 6 (33:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
How could somebody shoot their shot with you? Come to
the show, buy a ticket, o VIP status, talk to them,
stream all the music.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
My god, I have no idea. It just needs to
be organic.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Can a guy date you but also be a fan
of your of yours? You think he should be a
fan of yours.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
I mean, I don't know. He doesn't have to be,
but I mean, how can you not be that's kind
of I mean, unless you live overseas or something like that,
then maybe.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Oh, have you ever dated somebody overseas? Nope, but it's potential.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
It may be. I think that's where my husband might be.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Maybe in like West Africa or something like that, so
we're not I can see that. Really, Yeah, I would
like it. I would like that for you too. Keisha
Cole is here. She's in the midst of her Love
Hard tour. We got a lot more to discuss me
come back. It's way up to do this, yeah, y'all more,
way up with Angela. Now, what's up? It's way up
(34:39):
with Angela Gee. I'm Angela yee, and I am sitting
today with the legend Kisha Cole. Now, the song love
has been going viral still. And I saw you surprise
those kids in Atlanta where they were singing and you
popped up.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
It was so sweet. I was so tired too that day.
I was like, didn't want to get out of the bed,
but I was like, I'm gonna get up. I prayed
and I saw the kids and they were so sweet.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
I'm like, I'm glad I did not not make this right,
isn't it amazing that that song has touched like so
many decks. I just felt like the kids nowadays, some
of them weren't even alive right when that song came out,
and they'd be singing that song with their whole chest.
Speaker 6 (35:14):
And it's like, what the hell. I'm so glad God
gave me that song because I wrote it. So to
see that happen and transpiring like every night twenty years later.
So fire.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
When you think about when you wrote that song, what
was going on at that time in your life?
Speaker 6 (35:30):
You know, the guy didn't like me, and I was
like madly in love and I was really young, and
the women that he liked was much older and established.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
I bet later on he came around, though. Oh for sure,
they always do, isn't that what always happens?
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Soon's my feelings and emotions fly away, they come here. Hey, no,
those feelings are gone.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
And then I saw recently you and CALLI had a
back of front, but you still it was like, all love,
it's not your fault. Who she had the song? Yes? Right,
didn't she have a song that was like sam oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
baby girl.
Speaker 6 (36:04):
I think she may have felt a way about that,
but I really didn't mean anything by it.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
You were saying it wasn't her fault. That was Sometimes
things happened behind the scenes and then it gets cleared properly.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
It didn't and it wasn't her fault, and that's all
I was trying to tell her. So ain't no thing
but chicken wang on the strings.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
You said, You've also never cleared for anybody to like
do your songs right, and so you wouldn't do that either.
Speaker 6 (36:28):
I wouldn't say I wouldn't. I just haven't been moved
by any music that deserves my song. But I wouldn't
say never because I feel like there may be somebody
that I really rock with, like or I really liked
the song and I feel like it does justice to
my song. Like then I'd be like, yeah, oh yeah,
let's do it, put me on it.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
You know what I'm saying Right now, I'm talking to
Keisha Cole. Do you want to do more acting?
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (36:53):
Yes, that's exactly what me and fifty was talking about.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Oh so, does this mean you might be on one
of his shows at some point? Or is it about
creating your own show?
Speaker 6 (37:02):
It's about creation.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
I could see a Keisha Cole series.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Yeah, I mean I wouldn't play myself. I've already gotten
that out the work, right, I wanted to do that.
I've always wanted to headline my own arena tour. I'm
doing that. These are things that I've goals that I've
set for myself, but I've done. Like, so now it's
all about just like, you know what I'm saying, what
God has for me that he wants me to do
at this point.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Oh so it feels like this could be something that's
in the work, So all right, I cannot wait.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
That right, I'm like, I don't know what's going to happen,
but I know God is in control, so it's all good.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
All right. Well, Keisha Cold, thank you so much for
joining us. Let's see how many more dates are left
on this. Oh you have until April fourteenth. I said,
Atlanta looked like it was lit.
Speaker 6 (37:44):
To Atlanta, it was lit. Detroit was fire. Wait, hold on,
did you have your Oakland stop yet? No, that's at
the end.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
That's gonna be really crazy.
Speaker 6 (37:53):
Yeah, it's gonna be really crazy. I'm for the other body,
and I think we gonna have a set list and
everything together by like, uh, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
It's a process it is.
Speaker 6 (38:04):
You know.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
That's interesting though, like what you said in the beginning
of the balance of knowing like hit songs but also
songs that they could be, songs that were never singles
that people love if.
Speaker 6 (38:13):
They are excited that I'm performing. Yeah, yeah, like you've changed.
It is one that they've asked for since the beginning.
So I wasn't gonna take that out, but I decided
not to.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah, all the feedback helps too, so you know, like
how to craft everything, Yeah, for sure, because.
Speaker 6 (38:28):
I want to do right by them, Like I don't
want to like just be like, yeah, let's just do
the hits and just get off stage. It was like, no,
you know, I love y'all. Thank you'll.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
You're doing a new album too, Yes, at some point
this here you think or next year. Year just started,
so it could be happening, all right. Well, Keishako, always
a pleasure to see you. Every time I see you.
It's like a fun environment. So yeah, of course I
love that for us.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
I'll do too.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Yeah, you know, we're good. We go way back, all right. Well,
keishak as always thank you so much, of course, thank
you for having all right. You can watch that full
interview on my YouTube channel, Way Up with Ye and
when we come back, you guys have the last word.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Take up the phone tap to get your voice heard.
What the word? Bitch's the last word on Way Up
with Angela Yee?
Speaker 1 (39:14):
What's up is Way Up with Angela Yee? I'm Angela
Gee and my guy Meno's here. We made it. There
were another week. It's Friday eating yes, and you have
Oh we have I mean until next Monday, not this Monday,
next Monday to finish this?
Speaker 4 (39:31):
Do we actually have to do all that? Though?
Speaker 9 (39:33):
Like?
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Can we just stop on Monday?
Speaker 1 (39:35):
So you're quitting?
Speaker 4 (39:36):
I'm just saying, can we just stop?
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Are you a quitter?
Speaker 4 (39:38):
I'm gonna stop on Monday and going to uh Ramadan?
Speaker 1 (39:41):
So you can't handle it.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
I'm not saying I can't git rough though, I'm noting.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
The Detox now and Coach and Jesse. As you can see,
even Meto was defeated in this fast I'm still I'm
still on it. But shout out to Sydney who did
it for a full two weeks. You got defeated on
a lot of.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Things today they didn't get defeated cause I'm still on it, though,
I'm asking are you gonna.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
See when we visit this conversation on Monday. But in
the meantime, thank you to Kishakova joining us. Make sure
you guys check her out on that Love Hard tour
in case you haven't seen it already. And of course,
thank you guys, and have a safe and prosperous weekend.
Here you are with the last word.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Hey, y'all, So my secret is I was still my
ex boys friend and he was acting real funny, so
I had.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
A one night stand with another name, and unfortunately I
got this tegnant.
Speaker 11 (40:32):
What's stuff is really fun? It's sad, and I just
want to stun the light on all women and other
of women his three months and I just want to say,
you are good enough. Don't ever bargain or compromise your
worst the things that you believe in your standards are
anything of that nature, And don't ever ever ever lower
your value and the way that you feel about yourself
(40:54):
for anyone.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Going way with Angela Yee
