KPRC reporter Aaron Wilson joins Next Up to break down the Houston Texans and tight end Dalton Schultz agreeing to a three-year, $36 million contract with $23.5 million fully guaranteed. The Texans were able to finalize the deal before the franchise tag deadline. "There's a good relationship between C.J. Stroud and Dalton," and Schultz is "the third [receiving] option after Nico Collins and Tank Dell," Wilson said. The future of other Texans free agents still remains at large. The Texans are "not close" on a deal for running back Devin Singletary or linebacker Blake Cashman. "They are actively involved in the running back market." The 2024 NFL Draft is approaching, and Wilson says the Texans should lean more towards a "defensive football player" with their No. 23 overall pick.
