Speaker 2 (00:52):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I'm Sandra Champlain. For over twenty five years, I've been
on a journey to prove the existence of life after death.
On each episode, we'll discuss the reasons we now know
that our loved ones have survived physical death and so
will we. Welcome to Shades of the Afterlife. Our global

(01:14):
afterlife community is taking a pause to honor the incredible life,
legacy and work of a true pioneer who recently passed
away July tenth, twenty twenty six, at the age of
eighty eight years old. Her name she's the legendary doctor
PMH Atwater. A renowned near death experience researcher. PMH at

(01:39):
Water studied nearly four thousand adult and child nd experiencers
over a span of many decades before she was the
world renowned researcher with a Humanities doctorate, to invitations to
lecture at the United Nations and over twenty books translated

(02:01):
into twelve languages. She was born Phyllis Marie de Kaiser
on September nineteenth, nineteen thirty seven, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
As a young woman, she married John Bernard Huffman and
raised three children. She was a dedicated secretary, a Sunday
school teacher, and even a prize winning cook at the

(02:22):
Twin Falls County Fair. Phyllis Marie chose to write under
her initials, becoming known two millions simply as P. MH.
A professional handwriting analysis in the mid sixties revealed her
true calling was to write, so this led her as
a staff writer for the Idaho Department of Commerce and Development.

(02:46):
She quickly became a valued contributor to Sunset Magazine and
the book Incredible Idaho. Her early analytical work earned her
the prestigious distinction of most influential newspaper columnist in the
State of Idaho, which was accompanied by an award from
the governor. But most of all, PMH was a cops kid.

(03:10):
As a little girl, she used to stand at the
old skeleton keyhole of the interrogation rooms, listening intently to
suspects explain themselves. That early upbringing gave her a unique
instinct watch closely, don't accept the easy answer, and let
the evidence speak. It became the exact protocol she would

(03:31):
later use to interview thousands of near death experiencers without
ever leading them toward her own conclusions or inserting personal bias.
In nineteen seventy seven, following a brutal attack, she died
three separate times in the span of just three months.
In between these events, she suffered relapses so severe that

(03:55):
she had to completely relearn how to crawl, how to stand,
how to walk, and how to tell left from right.
During her first near death experience, which occurred during a miscarriage,
she found herself floating near the ceiling, watching her own
body on the floor, feeling only a mild embarrassment that

(04:16):
the room was a mess. Just two days after her
first death, doctors diagnosed her with a severe blood clot
in her right thigh vein, which caused her physical collapse.
During that second death, she realized that the strange blobs
she saw floating around were actually her thoughts, proving to
her that thoughts really are physical things. Nearly three months later,

(04:41):
her body suffered another massive breakdown. This final collapse included
complete a dreamal failure, which triggered her third and most
visually profound near death state, which took her deep into
an expansive void of utter blackness that somehow held the
presence of every thought she ever had and every deed

(05:05):
she'd ever done. It was there she underwent a profound
life review, realizing that we are entirely responsible for every
ripple effect our words and actions have on other people.
During that third near death experience, she heard what she
called the voice like none other, not a guide, not

(05:27):
an angel, but a booming command from the depths of
creation that told her, you are to do the research,
one book for each death to get to know her grit,
her directness, and her unique style. I have a few
clips of her speaking, and in this one she explains
how she conducted her world renowned investigative protocols.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I'm a cops kid, was raised in a police station.
My protocol is, please investigative techniques. That's what I use.
I don't use scientific protocols, and I don't use them
on purpose because number one, they're biased. Number two, they
don't dig deep enough at there's not deep enough for
me when I talk about biased. If there's an automobile

(06:15):
accident and there's four witnesses, they'll go up to any
one of them and they'll say, did you see anything?
If the witness says car and crash, then and then
only can the police officer use those terms. So you
can't use words in advance of the experiencer. My dad

(06:39):
always said the body says more than the mouth does.
So you're watching bodies, how person uses gestures, and bodies,
how they are with other people around them. You also
want to get into the home whenever possible. You want
to talk to the significant others, see what they saw,

(07:01):
any differences their feelings. She wanted to talk to the
healthcare givers, the boss, the coworkers. You want to talk
to as many people as possible in understanding and trying
to get a real good feel and sense of what's
going on in that person's life and then if you

(07:23):
can get back again years later. I've been consumed with
this for forty years. But what people don't know is
before I died, I was very active in metaphysics, esoteric psychism,
altered states of consciousness, all this kind of stuff, and

(07:44):
had been doing it since the sixties. And I'd started
Idaho's first nonprofit metaphysical corporation called Inner Forum. I was
teaching people how to take out of body trips. For
some reason, in this lifetime, I never did anything small.
So I have a basis of comparison, and that's a

(08:06):
decade before I die. So we're going back fifty years
here and we're looking at about seven thousand people. So
I'm one of these researchers that I can take what
I'm finding now and I can compare it with what
I found long ago. So I'm balancing that with what
is happening in my own life. So I'm working with

(08:29):
people all over the United States and lots of different
kinds of people, and so that's how I do my work.
I'm well these scrappy people. Some people call me the
cop on the beat.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
PMH was absolutely one of a kind because she balanced
her spiritual insight with objective data. She discovered that a
near death state fundamentally changes a person on both a
psychological and a deep biological level. To hear more of
her incredible research in her own voice, let's listen to

(09:05):
PMH break down the permanent physiological changes that occur when
someone crosses the veil and the case of a six
year old boy who brought his future adult career back
from the dead.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Among the things I want to mention is that there
are after effects in their death states. And it's not
just the fact that you lose your fear of death.
You become more psychic, you become more loving and more giving.
There are physiological changes as well. Certainly I mentioned some

(09:41):
of them the sensitivity to pharmaceuticals afterward, but especially there
are changes to brain function. The nervous system changes, the
digestive system changes, skin sensitivity, become much more sensitive to taste, touch, textures, smell,

(10:03):
odors of any kind. But this idea that the brain itself,
the structures within the brain change as well, so we're
talking about type of thing that can happen to us
that can make a significant difference in our life, and
these changes last over time. So with that said, I

(10:29):
want to give an example of some children, some child
experiences and what happened to them when they were older.
One of them is Marcel Vogel. If anybody knows anything
at all about crystals, they'll know the name Marcel Vogel.
I think he is the greatest mind we ever had

(10:51):
on the use of crystals. Marcel Vogel died of pneumonia
double lowbar pneumonia at the age of six. They were
able to bring him back during his near death experience.
This is what he was told by that very special

(11:11):
voice that can speak in a way like none other.
Now bear in mind as I read to you, that
this is a six year old kid. This is what
he was told, and I quote, you will be a
phosphor chemist. You will do pioneering work in luminescence. You

(11:36):
will write a book and create your own business. Now
stop for a minute. This is a six year old kid.
How could he even spell luminescence or even phosphor. But
this is what he was told at the age of six.
He grew up to be one of the greatest inventors.

(11:57):
IBM ever had two patents. I would like to share
with you the name of the book he wrote, The
Luminescence of Liquids and Solids and Their Practical Application. That's
the name of his book. His business was Vogel Luminescence Corporation.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
I'm so grateful to honor her in this episode today
and that you get to hear some of her words.
PMH always reminded us of the ultimate truth. You are
not your body. It is just something you wear for
a while. The biggest surprise for most people in dying
is to realize that dying does not end your life.

(12:38):
Stay with us, because when we return from the break,
we're going to look further into the innocent nature of
childhood near death experiences, including a little girl who saw
a sibling who hadn't yet even been conceived. We'll be
right back. You're listening to Shades of the Afterlife on
the iHeart Radio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network.

(13:21):
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sandra Champlain
and we're dedicating our show today to celebrating the life
the passion and the groundbreaking discoveries of near death experience
research pioneer doctor PMH Atwater, who passed into spirit on
July tenth, twenty twenty six. If you were to ask
any mainstream scientists how they study near death experiences, they

(13:46):
point to you clinical settings, cardiac arrest data, and brain monitoring.
But PMH approached this mystery with the relentless focus of
a homicide detective. She didn't want polished to rehearse to
accounts that had been filtered through years of reading books
or listening to other people's stories. She wanted raw, unvarnished truth.

(14:09):
This is why her research into childhood near death experiences
is perhaps the most important work she ever did. When
a child flatlines, they don't have a database of spiritual
concepts to draw from, they don't know what a life
review is supposed to look like, and they certainly haven't
read any medical journals. When they open their eyes and

(14:30):
describe what they saw on the other side, they are
giving us pure, untainted data. PMH began compiling these children's
stories in the late nineteen seventies, eventually building a research
base of thousands of children. She noticed that the younger
a child is when having their nd the more effortlessly

(14:51):
they navigate this spiritual world. While adults often struggle with
the sheer scale of the transition, children step right in
the light with a beautiful, natural ease. What actually happens
to a child when their physical heart stops beating, Who
meets them and how do their experiences differ from adults?

(15:12):
To understand the patterns PMH uncovered, I have another clip
of her speaking of the categories of NDEs, the comforting
reality of who meets these little ones and the unique
role that deceased grandparents, pets, and even butterflies play welcoming
children back to their true home.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
In my research base, one out of seven had a
more unpleasant or distressing type of experience. There's the pleasant
or heaven like about forty seven percent of the adults.
Not even half had that. That's the one we're more
familiar with. The TV stations and the movies and the

(15:55):
books were all more experienced with the idea of a
more loving family, reunions kind of experience, lots of light
and all that kind of thing. Then there's the transcendent experience.
This is usually very long, very deep. Those people come
back from that, usually more mission oriented. They have a

(16:19):
mission to do. One fellow came back with this knowing
that he had been shown all of history from beginning
to end. He would not tell about the end. All
of us tried to get in too, but he wouldn't
do it. But he was shown all of history from
beginning to end. An incredible case of survival. But these

(16:41):
transcendent cases can be quite deep, and when people come
back from those, they are really energized or at least
desirous of making it a real difference in the world.
The main elements that you find in near death experiences.
Number one is the out of body experience. Absolutely adult

(17:05):
or child easily sixty five just seventy percent of the
people have an out of body component to their experience,
or the entire experience will be out of body. And
then that light, that incredible light. Adults usually explain it
or try to describe it as brighter than ten thousand sons,

(17:30):
but there's no pain. And then the other one greeter
of some kind, sometimes a religious figure, sometimes a relative.
With the children, they're usually greeted by a grandmother a grandfather.
Grandparents are very important in children's experiences. If they had
a father or mother who is passed on, then that

(17:54):
individual too animals. You get a lot of animals in
near death experience, and it is especially with children. Children
are greeted very often by birds or small animals pets
who might have died and gone on before. This is
true also of adults, but I think children get more

(18:15):
of the birds, and I don't know why. Burgin Butterflies
you get a lot in children's near death experiences.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
It's incredible to think about children being met by their
loving grandparents and their favorite pets, isn't it surrounded by
this vibrant, living energy, including butterflies and birds. But as
an investigator, PMHS didn't just look for comforting stories. She
looked for what we call verritical or verifiable proof, information

(18:45):
brought back from the other side that the child could
not have possibly known through any physical means. These are
the cases that make even the most skeptical mind open
to the possibility of the afterlife. One of the most
mind boggling cases in her files involves a little girl
who experienced a sudden, life threatening airway blockage in her

(19:07):
family's kitchen as her parents desperately fought to save her
life the child's consciousness separated from her body. She didn't
just watch the frantic scene. She stepped into a different
room and witnessed something that defied the laws of time itself.
Let's listen to PMH share this story of a young
girl's out of body experience, her view of a family

(19:30):
member who did not yet exist on earth, and the
stunning realization her parents faced a year later.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
The life review that's not always pleasant. People say that
your life review is very detailed. Some people get more
detailed than others. That's true. It's that sense of going
back over your life and anything that you did that
maybe you shouldn't have done, or thing she said that

(20:01):
hurt other people. You certainly see those again, or feel
them again, or live through them again. But it can
also be very horrendous. So they're not always easy. Let
me give some cases here of what can often happen
with children. I'm not going to say good or bad,

(20:24):
because you judge this for yourself. This one case, this
young girl, I can't remember for sure what age she was,
but I'm going to say about five or sticks and
she's having what the aid called pops like a popsicle,
and she was in the kitchen with mom and dad,

(20:48):
and they were all enjoying these pops, and the one
got stuck in her throat very seriously and she was coughing.
They couldn't get it out, and so the mom and
dad have the child inverted and they're shaking that child
to get that pop out of her because she can't breathe.
She's turned red, she's turning blue. This is a very

(21:10):
serious situation. They can't get the pop out for the
child now is maybe in the parlor looking at all
of this commotion that's happening in the kitchen, and she
can't figure out why everybody is so excited. And she's
watching mom and dad with this child. She doesn't even

(21:33):
identify the child as herself. Mom and dad have this
girl upside down and they're shaking her, and mom and
dad seem very upset, and she can't understand why mom
and dad are so upset. She feels as if that
he would have done something wrong to upset her parents

(21:54):
because she can't understand why they're so upset. And in
the background, further than mom and dad is another little
brother and he's seated in a high chair and he
has a pop two when they're finally able to bring
this child back, and they were without going to the hospital.

(22:16):
The child, now back in her body, can't understand what happened.
A year later, she's talking to her parents, she's describing
all that happened, and their parents now are the ones
in the state of shock because the brother she saw

(22:36):
in a high chair having a pop two wasn't even
conceived yet until the following year. So that brother was
not part of the family yet, except maybe on the
esoteric or spiritual level, and the daughter had no idea

(22:58):
that she was the child. The parent were shaking up
and down, and the mother had to tell her as
she won.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
So how do we argue with a child who sees
a brother who isn't even conceived yet, Well, we really can't.
I think verifiable or vertical evidence shows us that time
as we know it is a physical illusion, and that
our souls exist in an awesome expanse of reality where

(23:27):
the past, present, and future all seemed to be woven together.
PMH discovered that because these young children have no before
to compare it to, they don't integrate their experience the
way the adults do. Instead, she found that many children
take twenty to forty years to fully process what happened

(23:50):
to them. They will often subconsciously push the memory to
one side, storing it up on a hidden shelf in
their brain because their physical mind simply cannot process the
magnitude of the light. But even if the conscious memory
sits on a shelf for decades, the energetic rewiring is

(24:12):
completely permanent, altering their intelligence, their gifts, and how they
interact with the world. From that moment forward, they carry
a deep quiet knowing that they don't belong to the
rules of this earthplane. And like with other NDEs we
hear about so often, children retain memories as if they

(24:36):
only just happened, clearer than any memory, even if it
has been twenty or forty years. When we return from
the break, we're going to look at the practical challenges
these children face when they come back to Earth. PMH
discovered that returning from the light is often incredibly difficult
for these young souls to handle, leading to massive spikes

(24:59):
in a intelligence, sensitivity to electronics, and a deep lifelong
homesickness for the other side.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
You're listening to shades of the afterlife on the iHeartRadio
and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network. Welcome back

(25:39):
to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sandra Champlain. We are
honoring the brilliant lifelong legacy of doctor PMH Atwater, who
recently crossed over to the other side at the age
of eighty eight. As an investigator, PMH always pointed out
that a near death experience is not just a vision
that you have while you are clinically dead. If it

(26:01):
were just a dream or a hallucination caused by a
dying brain, the person would wake up, shake it off,
and eventually return to their normal way of living. But
this is not what happens. For nearly five decades, PMH
argued that the absolute proof of the reality of near
death experiences lies in their after effects. The experience fundamentally

(26:28):
rewires a human being. It changes their psychology, their values,
their relationships, and even their physical biology. But if integrating
a near death experience is difficult for an adult who
already has a fully developed brain, imagine what it is
like for a toddler or for an infant. An adult

(26:50):
has a clear before and after to compare it to,
they can look back and say, I used to be
a business person, but now I want to help people.
A tiny child has no before for them, the memory
of the other side is their baseline reality. They are
sent back into a physical body, into a dense world

(27:11):
of gravity, limits, and rules, and they are expected to
grow up normally. Because of this, children who survive NDEs
experience a profound, uncomfortable sense of homesickness. PMH says many
of them struggle to bond with their earthly families because
their souls are still deeply anchored in the light of

(27:34):
love on the other side. They are often viewed as quirky,
socially backward, or different. But PMH uncovered something even more astonishing.
She tracked these children as they grew up and discovered
that they undergo a massive permanent jump in intelligence. Let's
listen to PMH explain the twenty to forty year integration

(27:58):
process for children in the IQ statistics she uncovered among
infants who survived near death states. And just so you know,
the average IQ of a human being is about one hundred.
If they're one fifteen to one twenty nine, they're called
above average or bright. One thirty to one forty four

(28:21):
are considered gifted. And above one forty five they're called genius.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Not all of the younger ones remember their experience, that's true.
Some of them either fades or they push it to
one side. Most of them push it to one side.
It's like another shelf in their brain and they store
it up there because they can't handle it. How you
can tell is with the after effects. And if you

(28:51):
look at the markers, or call them markers for these kids,
then you can identify probably who had a near death
experience and who didn't by the markers. But a lot
of kids do remember. They never forget. Like that boy
in Australia, he grew up thinking his father didn't love me.

(29:12):
I sat down with him as a grown man and
did a long counseling session with him to help him
realize that his dad did not see him. That's why
he didn't respond. And after that session, the young man

(29:33):
said that he never thought of it that way before.
When I heard from him later on, he said that
session he had with me changed his life because he
had an opportunity then to realize what was happening. And
this kind of thing can happen with adults too. When
you're in the outer body, a component to your experience

(29:57):
seeing all kinds of things, and then you're back in
the body. Sometimes it's difficult to handle. I can give
you all kinds of cases with adults where that happens,
where I really kind of screwed up their life for
a while until they're able to figure it out. But
these little kids, when I'm finding with the children that

(30:18):
not necessarily what's on the other side, but what happens
to them when it's over. When I'm looking at child experiencers. Now,
in my first study from birth to the age of
fifteen years, forty eight percent of them. Afterward, when they
are older and they took the standard IQ tests, forty

(30:43):
eight percent were showing between one hundred and fifty to
one hundred and sixty scores. Now, few of them had
genetic markers to account for it. Most of them did not,
so that brilliance began after the experience, not before. Now

(31:04):
with those from three to the age of five years,
when they're older and they actually take the iqtads but
had the experiences between three to five years, eighty one percent,
we're scoring between one fifty to one sixty. Now, those
like John Leona who had the experience happen between birth

(31:26):
and the age of fifteen months ninety six percent. We're
showing scores higher than one eighty birth to fifteen months
who had a dark light experience instead of a bright
light experience one hundred percent one eighty.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
To think that a baby, before they can even speak
a single word of our language can have their brain
structures so fundamentally upgraded by the other side that they
test as off the chart geniuses later in life is
pretty incredible. A perfect example of this sudden mental shift
is the case of Tonita Maxine McMillan, who drowned at

(32:07):
the age of eleven. The moment her physical heart stopped,
Tonita's consciousness detached from her body, allowing her to look
down and see her grandmother rushing into the water to
save her, while simultaneously witnessing her brother hurt his foot
on a completely different part of the beach. When she

(32:28):
was resuscitated and immediately asked her brother how his cut
foot was doing, the family was met with a chilling silence.
Her physical brain was dead in the water, yet her
soul was hyper aware and seeing all. PMH noted that,
like so many child survivors, Tonita returned to school with

(32:49):
an entirely remodeled, reconfigured mind, possessing an advanced photographic memory
and an intuitive knowing that left her teachers and peers
completely astonished. But the changes are not just intellectual. PMH
discovered that child survivors carry a very specific physical and

(33:13):
energetic signature for the rest of their lives. They walk
through the world possessing a unique relationship with electricity, deep
sensory sensitivities, and a physical intolerance to modern chemical medicines.
Let's listen to PMH outline the exact biological and psychological

(33:34):
markers she used to identify child near death survivors and
why parents must be extremely careful when administering pharmaceutical medications
to these sensitive souls.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
We're talking pre birth for trauma, baby and toddlers. When
they're older now, non traditional, nonconformist attitude may lose, bonding
to parent, may feel foreign in the family. Many, not all,
but many bond to the other side. They have a
certain charm or charisma, especially with animals and birds. They

(34:13):
are socially backward, many of them. They are absolutely unafraid
of death, very bold, highly intuitive knowing, creating, aware of things,
future this idea of future memory. Yes, indeed they have it.
Unique sensitivity to light and sound, sensitivity to touch, taste, texture, smell.

(34:38):
Many of them have allergies of various kinds. For some reason,
allergies go with it. School is a problem. They're absolutely
bored in school. They're very intelligent. They know more than
their teachers do. Many of them know more than their
parents do. They are drawn to the spirit worlds. That's normal.

(34:59):
Many seek ghosts, disincarnate spirits. Obsessive drive to accomplish tasks
and projects. Can be mission oriented as years pass, no
sense of time or money. Yet they want to have
a home. Non traditional relationships yet many want marriage. Commitments

(35:21):
are important, special relationship with electricity. Sensitive to pharmataceuticals may
search for missing worlds. Decidedly independent and inventive. Let me
go back to sensitive to pharmaceuticals. Most near death experiences
adults or children are really sensitive to pharmaceuticals. Afterwards, now

(35:45):
take the average child. They are prescribed whatever medication according
to age, and wait, if that child had a near
death experience, please do what you can to have very
very small don't digit or homeopathy if you possibly can,

(36:07):
orb maybe more holistic ways of dealing with the problem
because they're just plaine not able to handle pharmaceuticals as
the normal child can. So do what you can with
seeking out other ways of handling it. Again, if you can't,

(36:27):
and certainly this is true of adults, please remember most
adults can't handle pharmaceuticals like they used to before, and
so again homeopathy more holistic state, much much better.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
It is so important to understand that our souls do
not just inhabit these physical bodies. They can completely influence
the way our physical systems function. When you touch the
light of the other side, it leaves an energetic print
on your nervous system, your brain, and your biology forever.

(37:05):
When we return for our final segment, we're going to
look at more evidence from pmh's career, including a little
boy who drowned in his backyard pool and came back
to reveal a deeply buried secret medical trauma his mother
had hidden from the world for decades.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
You're listening to Shades of the Afterlife on the iHeartRadio
and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network. Welcome back

(37:56):
to our final segment of Shades of the Afterlife. I'm
Sandra Champlain. We are concluding our special tribute to the
life and career of doctor PMH Atwater, who stepped across
the veil on July tenth, twenty twenty six, at the
age of eighty eight. As an investigative reporter, PMH knew
that when it comes to life after death, the skeptical

(38:18):
mind demands a level of proof that cannot be chalked
up to fantasy, imagination or wishful thinking. She spent nearly
five decades gathering hard data, and she always maintained that
the most undeniable proof of all comes from the mouths
of babes. The next case involves a four year old

(38:40):
boy whom she referred to in her files as Jimmy John.
Jimmy John accidentally drowned in his family's backyard swimming pool.
By the time the paramedics and EMT crews arrived, the
boy was completely unresponsive and his mother and father were
living through every parent's worst nightmare. Through intense re suscitation efforts,

(39:01):
the medical team was finally able to get the little
boy to spit out the pool water and take a breath.
But it was what Jimmy John said about the very
moment he opened his eyes that shocked his entire family.
He looked directly at his mother and whispered a private
truth from the past she had hidden from the world.
Let's listen to PMH share this experience, along with the

(39:24):
story of a three year old girl in Richmond, Virginia,
whose brief glimpse of the light permanently healed a family
member's addiction.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
We have a four year old I'm going to call
him Jimmy John, that's not his name, and the parents
had a backyard swimming pool his mom and dad. Mom
is in her late twenties. Dad it's in he's early thirties,
an only child, and Jimmy John grown in the backyard

(39:54):
swimming pool. So they get him out, call the police,
the mt use They happened to live in a neighborhood
where there are a lot of people who were running
over to help. This is a good Mormon family, so
there's a lot of prayer going on. Mom is white
as a sheet, Dad is painting. They're finally able to

(40:17):
get the child to breathe, and the mom is leaning
over her son and the boy is excited. He so excluded.
After he's able to spit out all the water and
everything is mom, Mom, I saw my little brother. I
saw my little brother. He told me all about when

(40:40):
you had him pulled from your tummy when you were thirteen.
The mom later on had a nervous breakdown and the
dad left and divorced her. That became a very big deal.
It wasn't a big deal for Jimmy John. He was
thrilled his little brother. Actually it was a big brother.

(41:04):
This is what I call an accommodation, because many times
the beings that we know and love and remember will
shange shape somehow in a way that will be easier
for us to handle and know. For instance, of a

(41:24):
person died in battle and they lost an arm, they'll
come back with the arm looking as if nothing ever
happened to them. So these accommodations can and do occur,
and it happened certainly in the case of Jimmy John.
So these experiences with children. Many times it's like this

(41:50):
little child, I think she was about three years old. Accident, Richmond, Virginia.
There were two girls. The older girl heard her leg
the younger girl died in the action and then compleat
is called the MPT. Cruis are called. They were able
to bring the younger girl back, and her first words were,

(42:10):
I thought Jesus. I thought Jesus, and he told me
all about love love. And her grandfather was a drunk
had problems with alcoholism. When he heard his little granddaughter
talking like this, then he was so taken by this

(42:34):
that he never drank again, cured him of his alcoholism.

Speaker 3 (42:38):
Another incredible example of a vertical proof from pmh's investigations
is the case of Olaf Sunden, a young boy from
Sweden who flatlined during a botched ton selectomy. While his
physical body was completely dead on the operating table, his
consciousness detached and floated directly into to the hospital's waiting room. There,

(43:02):
he watched his grieving father pacing the floor, but his
attention was caught by a completely random stranger sitting in
the corner reading a highly specific, obscure newspaper article. The
moment Olaf was resuscitated, he accurately detailed the exact headlines
and the hidden layout of that distant room to his

(43:26):
astonished parents and medical team, providing proof that could be
physically cross checked and verified by doctors and hospital staff.
PMH realized over and over and over that these children
were operating as flawless, objective cameras from the other side.

(43:46):
PMH realized that these were not hallucinations. They proved to
her that our consciousness, our memories, and our unborn children
are completely alive, whole, and perfectly aware of us from
the other side. These child cases open our eyes to
what a human being truly is, how we function, and

(44:07):
what the real goal and mission of our life is.
PMH always reminded us that our experiences on earth are
simply challenges to help us discover the spark of spirit
within us. When she was asked near the end of
her life how she coped with seeing people live bad
lives without getting frustrated, her answer was immediate forgiveness and love.

(44:33):
She explained that we have to realize all of us
are here for vastly different purposes. Some of us are
in grade school, some of us are in high school.
Some of us are long past all the grades. The
more you learn about your own motivations, the less other
people bother you, and the more you can simply enjoy

(44:55):
being around them. PMH often said that we are humans
who are rushing to build an incredibly advanced, smart society,
but we have numbed ourselves with computer and phone screens
and have completely forgotten the basics of what it takes
to be who.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
We really are.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
She said that we have become touch poor, and a
human soul cannot thrive without physical connection. Her ultimate prescription
for a frantic mind was to turn off the noise
and step outside the door into the natural world. She
believed nature possesses a living intelligence that heals us faster

(45:36):
and more thoroughly than any psychologist, therapist, or parent ever could.
She told us that if you're not feeling right, you
should go sit outside on a rock for a while,
or take a walk in nature. And if you're carrying
immense anger or grief, she often shared this Native American practice,

(45:57):
lie down, face down on the grass, dig a tiny
dent in the soil, scream your pain straight into the ground,
and let the earth completely restore you. She said it
works for her every single time. PMH dedicated her life
to ensuring that her important findings would never be forgotten

(46:18):
or brushed under the rug by mainstream science. Over her
long career, she authored twenty seven published volumes across twenty
books and if you're looking to dive into her research,
you can easily search for pmh Atwater. Her classics on
adult near death experiences include Coming Back to Life, the

(46:40):
After Effects of the Near Death Experience, as well as
The Big Book of Near Death Experiences. And if you
want to dive into her research on children, look for
The New Children and Near Death Experiences and also her
book The Forever Angels. And for those who want to
understand her personal story, she wrote, I died three times

(47:03):
in nineteen seventy seven. The complete story. And while her
website hasn't been updated in many years, it's still out
there for you to see pmhatwater dot com. And when
you visit, you can see this lovely lady and read
through her old monthly newsletters, explore her articles, and witness
the depths of a woman who stood face to face

(47:25):
with eternity and spent the rest of her lives shouting
the good news back to us, as my dear friend.
Brian Smith, the host of Grief to Growth podcast, recently said,
pmh Atwater is a true pioneer whose work is the
very reason we understand anything at all about what happens
when the physical body let's go. She proved with absolute

(47:48):
investigative rigor, that our loved ones are planted, not buried.
And as PMH said, this life we are living right
now with all of our traffic, our bills, our stresses,
and our heartbreaks is the temporary spacesuit. Our life after
this life is our permanent home. We are divine, eternal

(48:10):
beings who have stepped onto this earthplane to choose love,
to gain experience, and to learn even when the human
conditions are incredibly difficult. Doctor PMH Atwater has now officially
put down her earthly suit and flown on the wings
she always knew humans were born with. We thank her

(48:32):
from the bottom of our hearts for her courage, her
five decades of unstoppable commitment, and the immense love and
light she left behind to guide us home. If these
episodes make a difference for you, could I ask a favor,

them hope. Just by striking up a conversation. Also, come
