Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing in with Becca Tilly and Tanya Radd, an iHeartRadio
and two-time People's Choice Award-winning podcast. Hello, everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
We are scrubbing in.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yes, it is a Tuesday, August 25th. I am so sorry.
I will take the L on our non-podcasting yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I am..

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Undergoing some things that are very timely that I have
to do on specific days. And so that interrupted our
podcasting schedule yesterday. It also might impact next Monday. But
I'm going to cross that bridge when it comes.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I won't be here. So remember, we have to figure
that out.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Oh, even better. OK, great. OK, great.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Great.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Maybe Robbie can come in.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Things are aligning. So I'll take the L on that.
I apologize. But I appreciate everybody waiting. And I appreciate
Becca being flexible. For her girl.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Whatever I can do to be of service to you
and for you. Welcome back. You had a really crazy,
exciting week last week.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So I don't know if you're not on Instagram, you
didn't see this, but Tanya was the opening act for
the Jonas Brothers at Madison Square Garden three nights in
a row.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Giving myself an applause for that. Yes, I am.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Because... It's epic in the sense of being asked. That's
such an epic thing. But to say yes and be
the entertainment before the show, before the Jonas Brothers, I
would be so intimidated by it. And you were amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I was super intimidated by it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Really? Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
You come across so overly calm, cool, and collected. Well.
First of all, how did it happen?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
So I've known the Jonas Brothers for a very long time,
like very, very long time. Been a fan of theirs,
huge fan. And it all kind of came together somewhat
last minute. I think they asked me probably like a
week before, basically saying that they had this idea of
kind of creating like a fan group. fan moment before

(02:14):
like the the Jones brothers come on and then that
my name came up with Tanya do it like Tanya
would be perfect would she do it so then that's
when they called me they wanted to see if I
could if my schedule allowed and then I had to
like figure out scheduling, get approved by bosses, et cetera,
et cetera. So that took like a day or two.
And then I was in. And then once I was committed,

(02:36):
I was like, oh my gosh, I'm essentially opening the
show for the Jonas Brothers. But nobody wants to see me.
And I'm very well aware of that. So what I
was trying to do was just make it like all
about the fans and like enhancing the fan experience. And
it all kind of came together in real time, like
in terms of like the planning and like figuring out
where we were going to go, how far the camera,

(02:59):
you know, I was in the concourse. I was in
the seats. The camera crew was like moving with me.
It was all very fluid. So the first night was
like total chaos. And then by the second, third night,
I was like..

Speaker 2 (03:11):
You said, come along, follow me.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
How did you decide who you talked to? Like, how
was that decided?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So they had a producer that came out from L.A.
also to kind of that was like her role was
to find these fans. So she would like scour the
concourse looking for people just like decked out in gear
and getting these stories. And like, that's the crazy thing
is like some of these stories are really like this
one girl brought her original ticket from the 2008 tour

(03:37):
that she had framed. It was like in a frame.
She brought it. Had it. And she was like, I'd
love for the guys to sign it. And I was like, okay. Well,
I was like, I can't make any promises. I don't
work for them. But I told the girl that I'm
close with that works with them. And she was like,
let me get it. I'll have them sign it during intermission. Wow.

(03:57):
I know.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
You did it?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I didn't do it. The team did it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
How special is that?

Speaker 1 (04:03):
She deserved that.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Having a framed photo of a ticket from 2008.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I don't even have anything from 2008.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
I'm not a keeper of things like that. Haley is.
She has memorabilia.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yeah, you'd think I would be.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, you give me the vibe that you would have that.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I'll save stuff and then I purge. I do like
a big purge every few years. So nothing's lasting past
like three or four years.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
You don't have anything from your John Mayer Shakira.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Definitely not the fan club. Musical Synergy Club.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, Musical Synergy.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
No, no.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Nothing from that era?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Nothing from that era.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
We could have used that just for. Just props. I know.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I wish I would have saved more stuff. But, like,
some of the stories were just, like, so cool. And then...
Were any of these people new fans?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Like, they had been recently converted since they got back together?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
So that's what we were, like, looking for. We wanted just, like,
fans from, like, the OGs, and we wanted, like, new ones,
you know? There was way less new ones that we found.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah, these people have been with... That's a... It's... So impressive.
These fans have been with them from the beginning.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah. And they all like know each other too, which
is like cute. One that I interviewed the third night
was like, oh my gosh, I'm best friends with the
girl that brought her ticket yesterday. I was like, oh,
what are the odds?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Oh, they like know. Yeah. They're in like forums and stuff.
Did you meet any scrubbers?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
So many.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Really?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yes. So many scrubbers were there.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Did you interview any of them or were they? One.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
One just happened to be somebody that we interviewed and
she was a scrubber. Wow.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
But I saw like a lot out there and we
took pictures. That's so fun. It was so fun. It
was honestly like the time of my life. Dream come true.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
So what were your days like? like prepare show days,
show days.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah. Sleep in. Cause I'm a rock star.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
You're married to a food blogger now. So you had
to hit the ground running. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
He was like, we have to try all these bagel places.
And I was like, babe, I have a show. I
have Madison square garden. Okay. Exactly. Like, and I, yeah, no,
thank you. But I, um, we, we would get up
like later. We were sleeping until like 10, 10 30.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
And then, uh, The first day, again, I feel like
was just like the most stressful because I like didn't
know what to expect. I was like nervous, all the things.
The next two days were like way chill. Like we
went like walking around New York, shopping, like eating, trying things.
And then I would get to the venue. I would

(06:34):
do like hair and makeup.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Your makeup was so good.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Thank you. Shout out, Cattle.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
And in the when I was getting like my glam,
they would come in like the team and they would
go over like the video packages because basically it was
like it was like a cold open just to me.
And then I would like give a spiel and then
I would have fans there. I would interview three of them.
usually sets of three. And then I would throw it
to like a video package, which were changed. They changed

(07:01):
every night. So I just need to know like what
I was throwing to how many minutes I had. And
then the whole camera crew, we would like all move
to like a different section where the same thing cold
open to me, I would interview some fans throw to
like another video package and Every night they'd videoed them
arriving and they wanted me to like narrate that as
they were like walking in.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
They're walking?

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It's like 90 seconds of them just like walking down
the hall and I was like narrating it and I
was just like, here they come and they're matching like sweatsuits. Like,
what do they say?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Are you improv-ing this?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
They're like you don't have to.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Cover every second of it but just like you know
yeah just narrate but you know me no dead air.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
No no no no we don't like silence no did
um did you get to hang out with the guys
at all uh.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah so so the first night they like came to
like my dressing room we like took a picture they
gave me a handwritten card thanking me for like always
being there for them which I thought was like so
nice so nice yeah um but it's very funny because
I feel like um, artists do that with like their openers.
You know what I mean? They like make sure they,
they like come over. And I was like, I feel

(08:07):
like that's me. Like I walked back, I was walking
my makeup girl to the elevator and Robbie took her
like all the way out to the, to like helping
her with her bags. So I was like walking back
to my dressing room and I just see all the
Jonas brothers like standing in front of my dressing room,
like waiting for me.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I was like, Oh, Like, sorry to keep you waiting.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, sorry. I need to walk Kara to the elevator.
So I saw them then, and then the first night
there was an after party, so we, like, all went
out after. And then the last night, too, there was
an after party. So I didn't really hang out with
them until, like, after the show. Gotcha. A little bit before, but, like,
you know, everybody's, like, in..

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah, they're in show mode.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
They're... They're in show mode. I'm in show. Like I
was in show mode. I was like, I can't handle.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I can't handle like too much like excitement before. And
then by the time I finish, they're going on stage.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Oh, right.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
So did you get to watch the show? Yes. How
was it?

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Amazing. Like. Have you been to a Jones Brothers show?

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I have not.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I haven't either.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I've never been. You've never invited me.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
You have to go when they come. Do you like
the OG songs?

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Yeah, I like the Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Okay, so there is something about the crowd at Jonas
Brothers shows that is like, it's so electric.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Really?

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yes, Becca. You would be blown away if you saw
that people are going feral. Like, from top to bottom.
I'm not even joking.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Well, yeah, that's what I'm saying. These people have been
with them for... A long time.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Almost 20 years.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
And the first night at the after party, Joe was
like telling me, he was like, I love when I
can like look down and I just like see you
just like jamming out. And I was like, when he,
taught like when they say they can see me I'm
like oh I'm like.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Oh you're giving it your all yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I made sure I was in that same spot every night.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Has your ranking of the Joe bro stayed the same
yeah okay.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
I I always am on the Kevin side of the
stage yeah like I'm like you know his viewpoint Nick
Joe's usually in the middle Kevin's usually on the right
and Nick's usually on the left so I'm always on
the side of the stage where Kevin is.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Like, intentionally? Like, you choose that? Yes.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The last night Danielle was with me, like,
on Kevin's side. But Joe, like, goes, like, back and forth.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Danielle or Danielle or Danielle Jonas?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Danielle Jonas, yes. Kevin's wife.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Oh, whoa.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I thought you were talking about Danielle.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Oh, no, sorry. Kevin's wife, Danielle.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Oh, yeah. Danielle Jonas. Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
The Danielle Jonas.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
What is your... What night was the best in terms
of energy?

Speaker 1 (10:46):
So the first night was like amazing because it was
opening night.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
And so I think people were like, what? Like didn't really,
you know, know what to expect. So like there was
some good energy there. But then the last night, the
energy was like crazy.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah. So they're on tour. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
This is a tour.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Hollywood Bowl in November.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Oh, I love the Hollywood Bowl.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Honda Center Anaheim in December.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I'll be standing next to Tanya on the right side
with Kevin Jonas viewpoint.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
It is a magical experience.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I'm excited. I didn't know it was so electric.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's like palpable.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Wait, you got to talk to Ashley. I, who's all,
who is like an OG.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
This is the best part. So Ashley, I knew Ashley,
I was coming to the show and I was like,
I don't know if they wanted like public figures or
if they just wanted like fans, but I'm like, Ashley
is a fan, but she's also a public figure.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I would say she's first a fan. And then they
were like, okay, yeah, like, sure. Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Like, you know, put her wherever you want her. So
I was like, okay. So we're, like, I'm interviewing Ashley,
and they kept telling me to, like, stretch it because
I guess the crowd at Madison Square Garden was, like, cheering,
going crazy for her. For Ashley?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Oh, that's so cool. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
So fun. I love that you all have that.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
I felt like I talked to her for a really
long time, and they were, like, yeah, they kept telling
me to stretch, and I was, like, I wonder why. Like,
what was, maybe something was going wrong. They were, like, no,
the crowd was just loving it.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
She's, like, the leader of the fandom.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
And, like, she's, you know, Rhode Island housewife. I feel
like East Coast is, like, her jam.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
She was, like, in her hood.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
She was the Second opening act. Exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Exactly. But like, honestly, I love those guys so much
and I love their team. And like, I just have
such fond memories of there's like specific, especially like certain songs.
Like when Nick was doing his solo thing and DNCE
was doing their thing, I was like a roadie for them.
Like I was, I remember that I was everywhere. And like,

(12:44):
I was thanking them for like having me do the
opening and I was like, you guys could have asked
anybody to come and do this. They're like, but there's
not history there.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
And I was like, It's basically the band's back together
and you're part of the band.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
I feel like a Jonas sister.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
You're the Jonas sister.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
If they had a sister, it would have to be me.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Yeah. Yeah. Tatiana.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Exactly. Robbie, like, is a new Jonas fan. Like, he didn't, like,
grow up on the Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Oh, he didn't grow up on Camp Rock?

Speaker 1 (13:11):
He did not grow up on Camp Rock. But the
way they've embraced him, too, like, They are so sweet
to him and they treat him like family too. And
like Kevin like loves Robbie, like genuinely like loves Robbie.
Everyone loves Robbie. I know.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
I know.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
But it's like sweet. It just like makes me so happy.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Well, I'm so proud of you. It was, it was,
I always know you're, I guess I haven't seen you
do something like that in a minute.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Where you're like in the crowd like that.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
I guess I've maybe never seen you, but I feel
like at I Heart Stuff, you'll be in the crowd,
like you'll do fan stuff, but. I was like, gosh,
she's so good at this. Like, it just felt like
a like it felt like it had been planned for
a long time and I knew how fast it came together.
So I was like, wow, she's such a pro.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
I appreciate that because, you know, when like you're the
one doing it, you feel like I felt like I
messed up so much and like I feel like I
use a lot of crutch words. You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (14:02):
What's a crutch?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Like things that I would just always say or like
come back to.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Oh, right.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
And, and, and the way that I moved in between
the fans, I'm like, I could have done that sharper.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Oh my gosh. Yeah. They're not, they're not noticing that.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
And I also wish I would have set the scene.
Like when we gave away like the floor seats, I
wish I would have set the scene a little bit better,
you know, cause I asked them where do you know
where your seats night? And they would say like, Oh,
in the 300 section. And I would say, Oh, well
the Jonas brothers want you to see him closer. And
I would like give them floor seats, you know, but
I wish I would have like set, set the stage
a little bit better. Like, This is only your second
Jonas Brothers show. You weren't able to afford tickets before.

(14:34):
Now you're all the way in the nosebleeds. How about
the floor?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
What about the people who are not getting the floor
seat giveaway, though? They're just like, dang.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
No, I think they're happy for them.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Yeah, no, people are happy for people. It's like that
should be me, but also happy for you. Yeah. Right.
I'm sure you were amazing. Everything is hindsight, but I'm
sure everyone felt your excitement.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
And then do you want to know the topper of
the whole thing?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
When we come back, the topper of the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
The topper.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Well, that was probably a really bad way of putting it.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Well, we'll find out.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
The topper.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
So the topper.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Is this the topper of the whole three days? No.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
So I probably teased it the wrong way.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
The kicker.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Oh, the kicker is different than the topper. Yeah, the
kicker is much different than the topper.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Oh, no. What's the kicker?

Speaker 1 (15:53):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Gearing up. Guess what comes Thursday morning?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I have a guess.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
What?

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Menstruation.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
My period.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
That'll do it.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
My period. The three days I'm opening for the Jonas
Brothers are the three days where she comes fast and ferocious.
What are the odds? Out of all 28 days of
my cycle..

Speaker 2 (16:25):
What are the odds? Because you're pretty on the nose.
I'm not. So it is really what are the odds.
But for you, what are the odds? Like, was that
the day it was supposed to or did she come early?

Speaker 1 (16:37):
I mean, I'm usually like one or two days off.
It was supposed to come.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
It could have been a little delayed. It could have
been Friday.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah, I would have if she was playing nice. She
was playing really nice. She would never have come at all.
If I'm being honest. True. If she was playing nice,
she would have come on Friday. But the fact that
I had it all three nights and then the minute
I wake up Sunday morning, she's gone. She's gone.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
She ran her course.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
She ran her course. I was like.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
But I will say this is the first period that
I got where I wasn't like crying all day because
I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeah. Did it feel like it? You know, when I
get my period, when I'm doing some like when I
have a distraction, it helps me as opposed to laying
around because I'm mentally and physically like active. And they
say you should be a little more active when you're
on your period or whatever. So did it help having that?

(17:30):
I guess, but like, because also the adrenaline of doing it,
especially the first night, you would think that would be like,
you can't even focus on that because you're, you're opening.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah. But then I'm like feeling puffy and I'm like,
Everything hurts when I like tie it around my waist.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
It's even more impressive what you did. Really, truly. Day
one and two are hell.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
And usually by day two, I'm popping Motrin every five hours.
Like I am in pain. I am like irritable. And
I was like the opposite of those two things.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
No, the JoBros.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
They pulled it out of me. They really pulled me
out of a dark place and brought me, they brought
me to heaven.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Is that their song? Oh, me.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Were you there? Did you watch the show the night.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
That Joe messed up the sign?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
No. Oh. Joe said, like, I smell a hot dog. Like, he's, like,
in the middle of a song. He said, I think,
I smell a hot dog.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
I don't think I, there was, like, bits and pieces
that I missed because I, like, was going to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I know, yeah, I didn't know it was the night that,
but their, Nick and Kevin's reactions to Joe are so
funny to me. Like, you can tell they just never know.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
What is going to come out of his mouth.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Yeah, what he's going to do or say.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
One of the nights, there was a sign. Somebody was
holding a sign. I didn't see the sign, obviously, right?
Because they were, like, on the other side. Yeah. And
you see Joe grab her phone to FaceTime her husband
to tell them that they're expecting baby number two. So cute, right?
So Joe picks up the phone. This kid answers. And
he's like, hey. And then he asks the mom, like, hey,

(19:06):
can I show everybody that you're a kid? She's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey,
is your dad there?

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
So then pass the phone. It's another kid. He's like,
you're her son? He's like, yeah. Is your dad there?
Everybody's kind of like confused at that point, right?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
This is during the show.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
During the show, in the middle of the show. Then, yeah,
I'll give you to my dad. Passes the phone to
the dad. The dad hangs up. Joe's like, he hung up.
So he's like, I'm going to film a video. So
he films a video. He pulls out the girl's phone.
He films a video. Hey, I just wanted to call
and let you know your wife is pregnant with baby
number two. The crowd just, okay. Cut to, he posts
on TikTok that he read the sign wrong. And the

(19:47):
sign said something like, our husbands don't know about round two,
meaning they saw the concert two nights in a row.
Can you help us tell them? I'm like, who makes
a sign that says my husband doesn't know I'm going
to the Jonas Brothers for two nights in a row.
Can you help me tell him? Like, I understand Joe

(20:07):
reading that wrong.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Being on stage and seeing it in the midst of
the show. Trying to do something cool and nice for someone.
And then announces baby number two. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
When there's clearly two children that answer the phone.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
He's like, and you're also a child of this woman? Yeah, so, okay.
I bet he won't be doing that again. Yeah. A
live FaceTime. But I like it.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
I hope he does.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I did, too.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
On the run.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
I did, too.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
On the go.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
So, anyways, I'm just, like, really, like, riding high.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah, like, should we pitch you to just be on
tour with him?

Speaker 4 (20:47):
I tried.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Have a tour with us?

Speaker 1 (20:49):
I literally tried. I was like, do you guys need
someone else? Like, someone, like... For the tour?

Speaker 2 (20:54):
What are they doing, though? They have openers.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
They have openers for the tour. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Actual musicians?

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Unfortunately, yes.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Oh, that's too bad.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Don't disrespect. Have you heard her work? Don't disrespect her
like that.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
I'm a big fan of her work.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Yeah. Throw some respect on that.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I don't mean actual. Other musicians, I guess. People are
actually going to play music, which you didn't do.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
No, I did not do that. Not this time.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I can't explain to you what it did to my soul.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
It like brought me, it like made me feel like
me again. I've been feeling like not like me.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Did you tell them that?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yes and no. Like I didn't really get into the
nitty gritty of like. Well, yeah. Life's been rough.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
No, but that's a really nice sentiment. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
And like the fact that they like reiterated to me
so many times of like you were the perfect, you
were the one we wanted. Like we're so grateful you
said yes. We're so grateful that you're here.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Like. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Just makes you feel so good. appreciate it I think
they I assume they're like that with their whole team.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Well yeah I feel like they've had the same team
for a long time which is a testament to them
yeah I also think it's it really is amazing that
out of all the people and the like openers and
who could do that that like they're like we want
you like that's just such a testament to you and
not only who you are but how good you are

(22:15):
what you.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Do thank you I appreciate your help with all the
outfits Did I help? Yes, very much so. Yes. If
I would have listened to Robbie on some of those things,
I would have looked like.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
I was a little like, whoa, those are some tall
heels and some short shorts.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
It started to get really weird at one point. I
was like, I got to go to bed.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
What was he going for? What's his fashion inspo for you? Right.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
He's like rock star, rock star. You're like, oh yeah.
Like MSG. And I was like, babe, I'm wearing merch.
Like I'm wearing Jonas Brothers merch. Like it's not very
rock star, you know? Like I'm not like on tour.
Like I get it. But like Tanya does not equal
rock star. Like I kept, I think he kept wanting
me to think like, like I'm a rock star.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
You're the opening act.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
And I'm like, I'm just, I'm not respectfully.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Well, I feel like he was getting into some heated
debates over the L.A. versus New York bagel competition. He's
really passionate.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
He's so touchy with food.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Well, people are very passionate about their local spots. Well, representation,
I guess. So, you know, people in L.A. have their
things that they think are the best, and then people
everywhere else have their things that they think are the best. Like,
pizza's a really touchy subject.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Yeah, very touchy.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
But he's really good at documenting himself. And he's honest.
He's not trying to be like, oh, it's good.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
No, he's not Switzerland. No.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
He's not trying to get deals.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
No, he's not.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
He's just giving the people what they want. No, no, no.
We'll see if that changes as the money comes in.
The offers.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Wait, you went and saw Noah Kahn this week.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Oh, my God. Life-changing. He's amazing. He really is so amazing. Like,
his lyrics and what... The music that he writes and
what he can put into words that is so complicated.
Because he writes a lot about, like, family dynamics and
relationship dynamics and stuff that's hard to... Like, I would

(24:13):
imagine put lyric, you know, he just puts the lyrics
in his songs are so like, wow. And Haley was like,
everyone in this stadium has can relate to these songs,
which is amazing and validating. It's like you're listening to
a whole stadium of people sing these like devastating songs,
but they're so real.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I know. Some songs are really sad.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I know. But he's he's so funny because he doesn't
talk a ton during a show. But when he does,
he's like self-deprecating and funny.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
So.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
The show was amazing. We got to see Gigi Perez before,
and she's incredible, and her team's amazing. It's like all
her family, and so they're wonderful, and we got to
say hi to them. Yeah, it was awesome. San Diego
was so fun. We did so much. We were so
tired when we got back. It was crazy. When I

(25:06):
lived in San Diego, my best friend, his name is Kang,
and We did everything together. Like we went to the movies,
we played basketball, anything that was just random, spontaneous. I
did it with King. And then when I moved up
to L.A., you know, just naturally we would talk here
and there. But he started dating his now wife. And,

(25:27):
you know, we've talked about this a lot on the podcast.
But when it's a man and a woman and you
have a really close friendship and they start dating someone
and naturally you just kind of respect, you know. Um,
but I had also moved up to LA at that time.
So it just naturally, we, you know, we'll talk here
and there. I follow them on Instagram, keep up with them,
but I haven't seen him in over eight years. And

(25:50):
so it was so fun. Cause Haley and I met
up with them at the beach and we got to say, Hey,
and see him and meet his family. And it was
just like the best. I was like, why we can
never go this long without seeing each other again. His
wife is amazing. And, um, it was just a fun,
it was a fun weekend. We love San Diego.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
How long did it take you to get down there?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Like three hours.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah. But it was..

Speaker 2 (26:13):
It went by fast. Like, I never felt like we
were sleeping.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
You probably went on, like, a not populated time. You probably, like,
tried to avoid..

Speaker 2 (26:18):
We went at noon on Friday.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Really?

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
I was, like, shocked we got down.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Noon, you're fine. Three and after, you're screwed.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Yeah. But the wedding was so fun. And our friends
that got married, Danny and Nicole, they're just... so fun
and funky and have like the coolest style and the,
where they got married was beautiful. The reception was amazing.
Made us go like, oh, they had a live, they
had a DJ and then they had a live drummer
and a saxophone player. So they were playing all, it

(26:49):
felt like a live band with a DJ sound and
it was so fun and it had everyone on the
dance floor the whole time. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Music is key. You have to nail music.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
You know, we had one time in Milwaukee, sorry, this
is a bit off topic, but we were at an
outdoor restaurant patio area. And sometimes you'll have a musician
out there playing music. It was a drummer.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Playing to a DJ?

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Playing music. He would play music and he would just
drum along with the music. I found it entertaining.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
The live drum hits the beat in a way that
you realize that that is kind of where the live
band feels... Like what you're hearing from.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
A live band. That's what makes it feel like a
live band. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
And then the saxophone player, I was like, you know,
I used to play the saxophone.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
In elementary school.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
You were like, could have been me. No, I was like,
could have been me.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
That's something when we start planning, we, when we start
planning your wedding, when you start planning your wedding, priority
to the music.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
No, we definitely took notes because everyone crowded the dance floor. We...
Like a Prayer by Madonna came on and it had
the live drums with the sax and it was like
core memory moment.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
It was so fun.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
So that was really awesome. And yeah, this week was
just kind of recovering from our weekend.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
I found myself, I'm like, I'm hosting a 30 minute
pre-show and I was exhausted every day the next day.
I'm like, I can't imagine being an actual artist that's performing.
They were like up there for three hours every night
and you're doing it back to back night. I would
be tired.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
I think you, I think yes, like 1000%, but I
also think you have to remember they're getting energized being
up there. Like they're getting what you said. It's electric
up there. They're getting this adrenaline high. That's like, fueling
them so every night they know that they're gonna get
that high even though.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
They're exhausted like they're like going in we're.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Gonna get energized where you're kind of having to you're
having to think.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
And work in the 30 minutes i'm like thinking and
working but then for the three hours after i'm partying
right which is also exhausting yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Uh work party sleep eat Work, party, sleep, eat.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
That's the life of a rock star.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah, no one understands that. Far and few understand, you know,
what you navigate as a rock star.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Speaking of.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
What?

Speaker 1 (29:20):
I didn't tell you who I met this weekend.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Who? I mean, could this work as a..

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Absolutely it could.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Who did you meet?

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Are you building it up too much?

Speaker 2 (29:33):
No, am I going to be excited?

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Oh, I think so.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Do I know?

Speaker 1 (29:39):
You know. So don't guess, Mark. I will not. And
don't give anything away because I want you to try
and guess who it is.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Oh, like 20 question style?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yes. It's kind of like a celebrity guess too. All right.
We'll be back. We're back. We're back. Okay.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Becca Tilly. I'll set the scene for you so that
you can maybe guess.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
It.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Okay. So there was a restaurant that Robbie really wanted
to go to in New York. Okay. So we left
the concert a little bit early one night to get
to go to this dinner spot. We're at dinner. It's
a cool spot in New York City. I look over
to my right. There they are.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yay.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
I said they as to not give a gender.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Oh, I see. Okay.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
They do have a gender. They are not they them.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Is it a woman? Yes. Is she a singer? No.
Is she an actor? No.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Actress?

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Is she a reality star? Yes. Is she from Love Island?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
How the hell does Becca do this?

Speaker 3 (30:56):
She's very good at these games.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Was it Maura? No.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
No. That would have required a selfie, I would have
to say.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Was it Leah?

Speaker 1 (31:07):
No.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Was it someone from the U.S., Love Island?

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Yes. Hmm.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Who would you care about? Who would I care about?

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah, think about it. Mark, do you remember now?

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Was it someone from this past season? Sure.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Hmm.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Well, not technically. Technically.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
I would hone in on her phrasing of her response.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Was it Sierra Miller? Or Tuffy?

Speaker 3 (31:37):
No.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
But you're on the right track.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Oh, I'm on the right track? Yes! Oh, that's really exciting. Exciting.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Okay, thank you. So I spot her. And you know
what's so weird? You know she has that boyfriend? Mm-hmm.
So I spot the boyfriend when we were walking into
the restaurant and I was like, I knew I knew
his face.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
I don't know that I know him that well. I
don't know him. He just has a very distinct hairstyle.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Oh, I see.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
He has a very distinct hairstyle. Okay.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
I was like, I know I recognize this guy, but like..

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Seen that hair.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I've seen that hair. I didn't realize it as we're
eating and like we're in the middle of like our appetizer.
And then I was like, oh my gosh, that's Ariana Maddox.
That's how I know that guy. Like, I was like,
that's how I knew that guy. It was the guy.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Um so then I spent the next like 15 minutes
with Robbie debating if I should like go up and
say hi because I could tell we were further along
in our meal than they were so I was like
well and they're on our way to the door so
I was like we'll pass by their table as we're
leaving so like do I say hi or do I
just like walk by and then I thought what would
Tanya do.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
If not now.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
When when if not you who meanwhile I'm wearing my
Jonas Brothers merch. And Robbie, Robbie wore merch only one
night and this was the night that he was wearing
like their faces. So we just looked like, like we're
like fully decked out and like Jonas Brothers merch. But
that was my way in because remember how she was
on their podcast a couple of weeks ago and they

(32:59):
asked the question from me.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Kismet.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Kismet.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
I thought so too.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
So I was like, I'm going to say hi. I'm
going to say hi. I'm going to do it. Robbie's like, good.
I think you should. We're walking out and, uh, I'm like, hi.
Such a big fan. Nice to meet you. And then
I was like, you were on the Jonas Brothers podcast.
And this is where I felt like such a dork.

(33:25):
I was like, I asked a fan question.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
She's like, big fan energy from this girl. The shirt on.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
I was like, I'm the one that asked the fan question.
And I said it.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Is she just smiling at you? Yeah, it's like this.
Keep going.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Yes. I was like, I asked the fan question about
if you get annoyed that they bring in Andy Cohen
because I think you can handle it on your own.
And she was like, oh, yeah. Even if she didn't remember,
she totally played it off like she remembered. And she
was like, oh, yeah. Like, how funny. I was like, yeah, actually,
we're just at the Jonas Brothers show. And Robbie's like,

(34:06):
she's opening for the Jonas Brothers. And I was like, oh,
my God, it's too good. These poor other people at
the table are probably like, these weirdos have got to go. Like,
can you wrap this up, Ariana? Like, can you wrap
this up? I'm sure it was great. They were with
other people, yes. And then I didn't know if I should, like,
introduce myself to them. But, like, nobody cares to meet me.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
You know what I mean? And then it felt rude.
I hate that inner dialogue. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Like, what do you do?

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I well, it just depends. I would probably handle things
differently depending on the night and who I was talking
to out of nerves. But I would probably introduce myself,
you know.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
A friend of mine. Like if it were like a
distant friend that was having dinner with people, I probably
would introduce myself. But it was like, she's a stranger.
She doesn't know me.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
But if someone came up to to you and I
was there and they're like, I love you on the
radio show or I don't know, I don't know. Can't
think of it.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
It's tough.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Well, I think there's no wrong way of doing it. Like,
I don't think you were rude for not introducing yourself,
and I don't think you'd be weird for introducing yourself.
So that's a lesson to everyone.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
But your options are ignore everyone else at the table. Yeah.
Or bore them by introducing yourself to everyone else.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Yeah, it's all bad, bad.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
So would the argument be to maybe don't approach someone
when they're at the table with a bunch of other people?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Mark.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
I'm just, I'm asking a question. It's just a question.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I think that there, I see both sides of that argument.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
I do.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
But I also am like... You didn't ask for a photo.
You didn't, like... I think you just..

Speaker 1 (35:40):
If it were a little bit... If it were a
smidge lighter in that restaurant, I would have asked for
a selfie.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Do you think if they were just them two, you
would have asked for a selfie?

Speaker 1 (35:50):
A hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Oh, the other people.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
And the restaurant was just, like, very dark. So, like,
the last thing I'm going to do is, like, have
some sort of flash going off.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
You bring out your selfie light. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
And, like..

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Honestly, there is a time where you definitely would have
done that.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
I've done that before.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
And you have.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah. Yeah, if it was a smidge lighter and they
were just the two of them, I would have asked
for a photo.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
It felt mature of me not to.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Well, that's what I'm saying. I think there's a way
of saying, like, I'm such a fan of you and
telling your story, your connection with your merch on that
connects everything. And then... And then I think asking for
a photo is just a..

Speaker 1 (36:33):
A hair too far.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
But, like, personally, if a scrubber came up while I
was eating dinner, I wouldn't care at all. Me too.
But I also, I think those people get it way
more than we get it. So, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
It's tough to put yourself in those shoes.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
I think it depends on your personality.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
So..

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Because you're right. If a scrubber came up to me
while I was eating, I would totally take a picture
and not even care. I know.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Me neither.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
I wouldn't even bat an eyelash.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
But if 30 people came up to me while I
was having dinner... I'd probably be like, girl's got to eat.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
My food's cold. Yeah. Yeah. I think it just, it
depends on the environment, the situation.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Well, I think we're friends now. But I'm proud of
you for saying hi. I didn't tell her about the podcast,
our podcast.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
That could have been a perfect time for you to
talk about the podcast as you were talking about her
being on the Jonas Brothers podcast and you opening for
the Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
I know. I just felt, I felt a little wordy
already because. I was a fan.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I also asked about Nick and Alandria.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
And I also, too, have a podcast. Could you come
on that?

Speaker 2 (37:38):
No, you did a good job. I won't hold it
against you.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Thanks. Fun, though, right?

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Really fun. Great sighting.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Fun sighting.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
And we told them what dessert we got. We're like,
you have to get the..

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Cool, cool. We're not eating dessert.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
They're like, yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll get it. Cool, cool.
Why do I turn into such a, like, ding-dong sometimes?

Speaker 2 (38:06):
You don't. I think we overthink things in our head
more than how they appear on the outside. Like, I
think in your head you were thinking you were being
a ding-dong.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
But I don't think how you came across to her
or them.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Like, she's probably not still thinking about me, right?

Speaker 2 (38:22):
No, like, you're waking up in the middle of the
night remembering this, and she's sleeping peacefully.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
She probably doesn't even remember. Dang, that's dark.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
You should DM her and see if she responds.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
What would I say?

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Just like, hey, I, um..

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Nice to meet you.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
I was wondering if you felt like we were friends now,
because I feel like we're friends now. Oh, wait, we
both watch Traders Canada. Oh! And my gosh, our friend
Sarah Nicole, the bird's papaya. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Since when did she go by Sarah Nicole? I had
no idea. I thought she was just Sarah. I thought
she was the bird's papaya.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Yeah. I didn't know that she went by Sarah Nicole
like as her. It's cute. So cute.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
She did really well. The I don't want to spoil anything,
but it's a very great season. Very.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
So we're specifically talking about Traitor's.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Canada season three.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Canada season three.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
So I binged it two weekends ago when you were
in San Diego and I was like, I texted Becca
and said, I think Haley would really enjoy this season.
You guys should watch it. And it looks like you
followed my advice.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
And you watched it. It is fantastic television. Yeah. I
would love to be on the traders.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
We got to get you on.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
I know that they'd already tracked the track. They already
filmed the normal people one.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Well, I don't think you'd go on that. I think
you're a public figure.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
I think I'm, I think I'm, I'm not quite the
public figure that they have on traders, but I fit
more with the norm with like the normal people.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
I don't think so. I think you're well known enough
that I don't think so. Really?

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
I don't, I think you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
I think if you were to cast me, I'd go and.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Amp you up as a public figure. So then you're
going on as the celebrity traders like this year.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
While they're, Oh, right. For next for next for the. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why we need you to be
the opening act for the Jonas Brothers. Yeah, Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Help me. This is for amping up my resume for
the traders.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Well, you already have it on your resume. You opened
three sold out nights at the Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Are you going to go to Harry Styles Madison Square
Garden show?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
I don't have tickets.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
And you can get tickets.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
As of now, I'm not going. Are you going?

Speaker 2 (40:47):
If I got tickets, I would. But I also would
just hope that maybe he'll make a little pit stop
around L.A. so I don't have to fly to New York.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
If if he were. I feel like that's what Taylor
Swift did on her show. She like circled back with
some new shit. She performed at the Grammy Museum.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Did you watch it?

Speaker 2 (41:05):
I just have seen clips and she mashed up. I
knew it. I knew you, August. And all too well.
Is it good?

Speaker 1 (41:13):
I need to watch the whole thing. I want to
watch the interview, the performance. I want to sit down
and watch it.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
As a show.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
An experience.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
An experience.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
The way it's deserved to be watched.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yeah. So we played a few... Or last week on...
Was that Thursday's episode where we did the number game?
Or was that the week before?

Speaker 1 (41:30):
It was last week. So, like, yeah, it was last week.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
Okay, so we did the number game where instead of
guessing celebrities, we tried to guess a number between 1
and 100. And you were 67.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
And you..

Speaker 2 (41:43):
Lost um because i think you were so set on
it being 95 that you couldn't even ask other questions that.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Yeah i was so convinced it was in the 90s.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
You're so certain yeah um but you had some arguments
with um my answers to you.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
And quite frankly mark too what did i do frankly
so i would like to say that i think i
could have won that game had i been not led
astray with one of my answers.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
What was the question?

Speaker 1 (42:15):
When I said, have I been this number before? And
you guys said, no, I was in fact 67 for
Halloween this year.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
But she was only seven.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
That would have taken you.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Or you were only six.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
That would have taken you so far off.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
That's what I said. And she was a six. She
wasn't a 67.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
So I don't really like, individualize myself when I'm like
a couple's costume. Like I am six, seven.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Like I'm not, if you had said, have I been
this number four? And I said, yes, you would have
taken 30, zero to 39 as your only option. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
With the age there.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Mark.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
Sensitive right now. So I would appreciate some discretion. Thank you. No,
I wouldn't because what really threw me off is when
you said, no, I have not been that number. I
was like, it's surely not 67 because I was 67
for Halloween this year.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
So you ruled that one out when I said that.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
Of course you did.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
I ruled out one through 39 and 67.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
But like when Haley and I are a couple's costume,
I am not Glinda and Elphaba. I'm Glinda.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
No, but you were Wicked.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (43:19):
You were wicked.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
No, I was Glinda.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
You were wicked.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
But I wasn't Glinda in Alphaba.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
But if I said..

Speaker 2 (43:24):
You were six. You weren't 67.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
But if I said, were you this number or were
you this movie for Halloween, you'd say, yeah, I was.
You weren't just..

Speaker 2 (43:32):
I would never... No one would ever ask, were you
this movie for Halloween?

Speaker 1 (43:36):
That's neither here nor there.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
If I said, were you... That's neither here nor there!
If you said, have I been this number in a
couple's costume before? I would have said, yeah. Well... but
that's not what you asked.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
This is just teaching moment to the both of you
to really think before you answer.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
Well, also Martha Stewart is an influencer. She's like the new, like.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Uh, I feel like I'm being led astray a little bit.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Okay. Well, we're going to give you a more fair
shot to take this one for the win. Okay.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
Thank you this week.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Not today. Not today. Um, I wanted to, there is
this list of things that are embarrassing at 18, but
attractive at 30. Like a list of things that you'd
be embarrassed by at a certain age, but now you
find them attractive.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Which made me think about, there's this trend going around
where these women are showing a list of words to
their partner, boyfriend, husband, whatever, and having them try to
read them and pronounce them. Such as like epitome. Oh, epitome?

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Hard words. Harder words that like may be pronounced differently
than how they look. And I'm concerned with the literacy
epidemic that we are in right now because I cannot imagine.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
This trend hasn't hit my algorithm yet.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
It's so funny because there's so many women who are like, listen,
I'm single, but the last thing you'll catch me doing
is giggling at the fact that my partner cannot read.
And they're like, this is not for people who are
dyslexic or have a hard time reading, but this is
just you finding it silly that your partner cannot pronounce words. Like,

(45:25):
we have to.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
I'd probably do bad on that, if I'm being honest.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Are you not a good speller? Are you not good
with grammar?

Speaker 1 (45:31):
I mean, grammar is one thing. Reading is another. If
I saw epitome on a script, I probably would say epitome.
I'm not even going to lie.

Speaker 2 (45:44):
But if you had time to see the word and.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
If I was like in context reading it I would
probably think I would understand but like if.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
You're just reading a list of words and you had
time to.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Yeah by the time I would totally know his epitome.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Maybe Mark can find some of the words that's what
I'm looking for.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
Now yeah but some of the some of the okay
but here's the thing you the whole argument is why
are we like posting this oh right like yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
You know But I didn't know that you were going
to have that reaction. So feeling awkward. Some of the
things that are embarrassing. Becca's so good at games.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Becca's so smart. I'm just keeping it real, you know?

Speaker 2 (46:24):
No. IRL. I believe that you would be able to read. Confident.
I felt confident in that. But there is.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Are you going to watch the Alex Earl show?

Speaker 2 (46:37):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
Yeah. She influenced me heavily on these snacks that I
got last night and they're incredible.

Speaker 1 (46:43):
What snacks?

Speaker 2 (46:44):
These like mini rice cakes that are, have like different flavors.
And I posted because I saw her eating them and
then I was like, that sounds amazing. And so I
ordered them and they're incredible. And I posted and people
are like, you're just now hearing about these.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
Oh, are they like Boomer?

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Yeah. Boomer. But everyone, Paulina was sending me her favorite flavors.
It's a thing. It's a passion project.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Um, Okay, here are some things that are embarrassing at
18 but attractive at 30. Helping your parents. I never
felt embarrassed about helping my parents, though. Going to bed early.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
What a luxury that is now.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Being nerdy and passionate about something.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
That's always cool.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
I think so, too. Doing things alone and not caring
what people think, like movies. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
I would never, I don't, because I'm not like a
movie goer. Like I would never just like, you see
more movies than I do. But I go with like
the kids.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Oh, y'all go as like family.

Speaker 3 (47:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Usually Robbie and I don't even go just as a
couple to see a movie.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
Okay. Unfortunately, kindness is on this list, which is so sad.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Um, actually planning ahead instead of always being spontaneous. I've
actually found myself trying to be more planned and not
just spontaneous, but having a mixture. Cause I never want
to lose the like, of just going to do something,
but I like kind of knowing what's going on. Being
emotionally honest.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Being good at household chores. Having a weekend with no plans.
Not used to... Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
When you were 18, that was like anxiety if you
had a weekend with nothing.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
Yeah. Well, you felt like left out.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Now I'm like, clear the calendar.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Yeah. Being able to say no to things.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Still trying.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
Bringing your own lunch instead of buying it.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
I did that. I always packed my lunch. Or my
mom packed it and then I packed it as I
got older.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
I always was embarrassed to bring my lunch.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Really?

Speaker 2 (48:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
Because I was the one with the stinky food.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Why was it stinky?

Speaker 1 (48:50):
It was like Serbian. It was like onions and all
this kind of stuff. And so it was like, you know,
I always wanted to buy lunch. I never wanted to
bring it.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
And you still are the one with stinky food.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
I'm still the girl with the stinky food.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
I will say Haley has talked, we've talked about this,
about how her mom would make her food and her
lunch and it would be Japanese, like a gourmet Japanese meal.
And she would try to trade with other kids because
she felt like embarrassed by it. And I'm like, it's
so weird how our. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
Also how different cultures aren't like that they're that they're
not accepted so much that kids feel embarrassed by delicious
food that they eat and that their parents make them
you know um so yeah don't don't be embarrassed by
your stinky lunch if you have parent who makes you.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Delicious yeah I wish I wasn't but you know hindsight.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
I know hindsight's everything um not having or posting on
social media wait so that's embarrassing at 18 oh not
having it I don't get that and then finally gray
hair which I'm still covering her hair so I'll let
I'll let it go when.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
It's yeah when do you think you're gonna let it
go like when I'm old like when What is old? Yeah,
that's what I'm saying. Like, when do you think you're
going to let the grays? So you're going to cover
your grays from now until 70? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
Wow. I don't find it so, like, such a burden. Yeah.
Having to go and, like, spend the money on it is, like,
not ideal. But covering it isn't. I'm like, oh, it
is what it is. I love when people embrace it
and it's so beautiful. Like, and Haley's always like, you're

(50:36):
going to look so beautiful with gray hair. And I'm like, okay,
in due time, due time.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
I do feel like when you're blonde, the grays aren't
as noticeable.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
No, they're not. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
Like I have like, I don't have many grays, but
like I have a couple and they kind of just
like blend in.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
Maybe I'll go platinum blonde. That's a whole other upkeep.
You pick your battles. You pick your battles. Did you
find that list, Mark?

Speaker 1 (51:01):
I did.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
You want to try some on Tanya? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:03):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
I feel confident in her. I think she's downplaying her
reading skills, reading levels.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
All right.

Speaker 3 (51:12):
Here's one right now. Hyperbole. Very good.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (51:19):
I knew she would do well.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
One.

Speaker 1 (51:20):
Tanya.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Here's this one.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
You know.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Colonel? Colonel?

Speaker 2 (51:35):
Colonel.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
Colonel? That's not Colonel.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
That is Colonel.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Not a popcorn Colonel.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
Colonel. Don't give me double entendres over there, Mark.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
That's not. That's an actual.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
The Colonel in the military is spelled that way. How
about this one?

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Opaque.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (51:51):
Good.

Speaker 1 (51:51):
See?

Speaker 2 (51:53):
But in my opinion, opaque should actually sound like opaque.

Speaker 1 (51:57):
Yeah, the English language is hard, okay?

Speaker 3 (52:00):
It is hard.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
Fuchsia.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Okay, very good, see?

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Great, yeah, I knew you'd come through.

Speaker 4 (52:05):
Fuchsia.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
That's what some of the guys, it is wild.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
Oh, really?

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Yeah. Fuchsia is actually one of the ones that really
got me.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
You know that trend where it's like you say like, oh,
I asked my husband how attractive he thinks I am.
And then they go to the answer and he's like, oh,
I think you're disgusting. Rob is like, people keep sending
me that trend to like do to you. And I
was like, I've already seen it.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
What's this word?

Speaker 1 (52:32):
I can't really read your writing. Camaraderie?

Speaker 3 (52:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
You're good. Yeah, you're good.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
One for four out of five.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
That sounds about, it's pretty on brand for me. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:43):
Yeah. Yeah. If you just needed a couple more letters
switched around, you would have had colonial, but..

Speaker 1 (52:52):
Colonial.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
Colonial.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
Colonial.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
All right, everybody. That's the end of today's podcast.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
But we'll be back on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
But have no fear. We'll return.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
But we won't have you next week. But I guess
we can talk about that on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
We'll talk about that on Thursday. So everyone have a
wonderful week and we'll see you in a couple of days.
Love you so much.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Bye.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Bye.
