Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the almost Famous podcast. We're here today with you
for another Franky Friday, where we break down all the
latest news and headlines going on with our soon to
be bachelorette, Taylor Frankie, Paul Ashley.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Wooooo, all right, we've been teasing these headlines for a while.
We're finally going to run them down. I'm excited to
do that. The girl has been giving us lots of
content because well, maybe it's not her, maybe it's ABC
is not hiding what she is doing out during this season.
We've seen her at a Cowboys game, We've seen her
(00:43):
out in Vegas, and they're allowing it and we are
down for it. We're seeing who she's moochin, who's already
that far in the process.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
It's interesting because she is our first lead that I
can remember that ABC is allowed to still have their
camera and access to their socials.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
She probably has like a few a day. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I read an article where somebody said, well, of course
they have to let her have her socials, it's her job.
To my response being, wait, everybody else has to give
up their job to go on the show. Why doesn't
she Now, I'm glad she has her show.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
It's like, thank you, good point. Good point. But Ben,
my guess is that they are taking most ninety five
percent of the footage they're creating combent and then they're
they're posting through her. But I don't think that she's
like on their hands on every day.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
No, I would be shocked. I think it's smart for
them to let her have her socials, and I think
it's fine that they do. My point was not that
it's a bad thing that she has her social media.
I'm just saying the argument cannot be of course, it's
her job. It's like, well, it's everybody's job. Everybody has
a job that goes on the show, and we all
leave them to go on the show, and she gets
to keep her social media, which is great because it's
(02:00):
picking up traction for this season that I think is
so necessary, so necessary for the future of the franchise,
and because she's had access to her socials.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
We're not gonna.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Spoil anything here, but we're gonna do we do want
to break down. Well, we're not gonna no names, no names,
no names, No nobody wants a spoiler we can play.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
The game this year like putting names in there. How
about we just.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Said the last time we did that, it was a
massive fit. Nobody liked it, Okay, all right, nobody wanted spoilers.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Okay, fine, I'll just refer to them like this first
headline one about her kissing a suitor in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
That is the first headline, Taylor seeing kissing suitor in
Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Okay, he's one of the guys that we picked as
being a front runner. He's very cute and I can
just tell by the body language in these photos that
she really likes him. As predicted.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
The next headline comes on November eighth, teenth, Taylor has
an NFL date. Now, if you listen to our Game
of Roses crossover show that we did here on Almost
Fame this podcast, it's very worth listening to. The Game
of Roses has a theory that The Bachelor is very
tied into the NFL, to which Ashley and myself responded with,
(03:20):
of course, yes, the show loves the NFL. Every year
they have an NFL date, they've had an NFL host,
NFL leads. Goodness, gracious, they love the NFL. Well, this
season is no different.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
We are used to public dates. For some reason, this
just feels bigger because it was broadcast on television during
the moment, you know what I mean, like peepe or
normally when there's a public date, it's a theater and
people probably sign something when walking into the theater. This
(03:53):
is like an actual public event with like one hundred
thousand people. They're at the Cowboys and or what a
at and t I didn't want to be incorrect in
that called Jerry's world. Jerry's world.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
So they are in a suite and the guy is
wearing a Team Taylor jacket and he's got like, oh,
he's holding the football, Taylor is touching his shoulder. We're
just like seeing actual interaction almost as if it's Taylor
Swift in the suite and they're on the JumboTron.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
They have not been hidden about this season, which is
kind of shocking to me, Ashley, because you would think
on a season that has a lead that is so
well known, they would actually do their best to go
into the bachelor bubble and not be seen by the
public at all, which used to be the case. But
this season it does feel like they've been out and about,
including a date at Union Square Holiday Market in New
(04:53):
York City. This was shown November thirtieth, which is late
for them to still it'll be filming.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
If I'm honest, we knew that was going to happen
because they started so late that they were going to
go through Thanksgiving. But it's super strange to see them
doing like a Christmas theme date. It looks to be
the same guy from the previous NFL date.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Is it weird actually, as you think about it, for
them to be doing a Christmas theme date when this
isn't going to air until March.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
So I don't think they care about looking like they're
alive because she's been so posty on Instagram that we
all know when she's filming this thing. We don't need
to hide that this has been in past tense.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
What itirs, It's still going to be weird to watch
Christmas in March, but hey, I'm all for it because
I think it's going to be a great season. One
of the entertaining factors and one of the people that
(06:02):
are so excited that Taylor Frankie paul Is our bachelore
is Crocs. Crocs is going to absolutely blow up from
this season. They are going to get the absolute best
advertising from this season of all time because Taylor. Frankie
Paul loves her Crocs headlines this. Taylor's been posting cryptic
(06:22):
feat shots on Instagram, looks like with some of the guys.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
I love the fact that she has been posting videos
with some people that we actually know in the background,
Like her producers are in the background of the videos,
and I'm glad that she's friends with them. They're one
of the remaining people or a couple of people that
are there on the show.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Familiar faces.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yeah, so it's just fun to see a little bit
of the behind the scenes with them. Now onto things
that are about her exes. And I know that it's
rumored that her exes might be making a little appearance
on the show, which I mean that would be a
wasted opportunity if they didn't wrong, Yes, wasted opportunity, definitely.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Brooks Nader addresses Sean White and Dakota Mortensen dating roomors.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Okay, so brooks Natter, you know the model who is
on Dancing with the Stars. She is setting the record
street about our relationship status because she was photographed chatting
with Dakota. Taylor's ex at the show's premiere on November eleventh.
At the Secret Wives and Mormon Wives premiere in New
York on the November eleventh, she said, I love all
(07:36):
the Mormon Wives. I love the show. We're both in
the Hulu gang. She has a show too. I just
met him for the first time and we're just chatting
like normal people, and it got spun out of control,
and there's a rumor that we left together, and I
actually left with my sisters. We went to dinner, so
things just spun out of control. She did say that
he's super cute, but there is nothing more going on
(08:00):
than that.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
The final headline is also related to Dakota Mortenson Mormon Wives.
Dakota Mortensen throws major shade at our bachelorette and his
ex Taylor Frankie Paul's bachelorette stint.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Alrighty, so there is this controversial TikTok that Dakota put
out there. It's not controversial. He's being a little conceited
though he's bopping his head. He's just in the overlay
reads when you realize you can date thirty girls without
being on a TV show. Because he's just so wonderful
(08:39):
and the fan reaction is not very good.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yeah, it kind of It's it's odd to me. I
think this will be an interesting storyline going forward. Maybe
not odd to me, it makes sense to me. It'll
be an interesting thing for us to follow. Is this
dynamic between Taylor, Frankie Paul and her ex who also
has a following, and their desire or their ability to
(09:06):
be so public about their feuds. What will that look
like during the season as it airs, as she dates.
I think it's going to be something to follow and
pay attention to. I hope it doesn't distract, though, from
this season. I know we went into this and I
know we expected messiness, and I just hope it doesn't
(09:26):
distract from what it's happening on our screens and the
relationships that happen on our screens. I want all the
stuff to happen there. I don't need all this other
stuff happening where like we get a bunch of remember
what was it a couple of years ago Jen's X
showed up trying to make a name for himself, and
he like really is in to himself and he now
is like trying to build this like Instagram following from
it that was annoying to me. That was stupid, That
(09:47):
was dumb. I don't want to follow that guy.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Dakota already has this taste of success and fame, a
taste of fame, so I don't think he's going to
like let it die. I see him kind of being
Scott Dissick. Has become very much like a beloved figure.
But for a while, he was the irresponsible guy that
(10:09):
everybody was just like, why is Courtney sticking with him?
And I feel like, in a way, Dakota is going
to be this Scott figure or he's just gonna linger
around for a long time. I mean, she has kids
with him, just like Scott, and I think he's gonna
be very entertaining for us. But I also think fundamentally
or just be like, what's up with this guy? Come on?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:30):
And hopefully she just finds someone who's less of a dick.
And am I wrong in saying that he comes across
kind of dickish. I've only watched the first like half
of the first season.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I know nothing about the guy. People love him though.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
So people love him, but he's a problem. That's exactly
why I said he was Scott Dissick, because like everybody
loves Scott Dissick, but like we understood that in the
relationship he was kind of a problem. I mean, don't
even get me started with Courtney these days. That's a
whole other topic. So it's interesting. I think people are
they're going to want to see him because people have
complicated feelings short.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Him so much to look forward to. This has been
Frankie Friday. I'm telling you, we're going to do these
leading up to the premiere of Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette
season because I think there's a lot for us to
learn about her and her other show and her life
before the season starts, so that we can kind of
(11:25):
be up to speed with everybody else as it airs.
That's kind of the strategy here to do, Frankie Fridays
is all of us as listeners have to get educated.
We'll do the work in the back end, and we'll
talk about it here on the front end, so that
all of us, as almost famous listeners and watchers of
the show can be prepared for the upcoming season of
(11:48):
The Bachelorette. But until next time, I've been Ben, I've
been Ashley.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
See you guys, follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost
Famous podcast on iHeartRadio or subscribe wherever you listen to podcast.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yes,
