There was plenty of flexing early this morning, but Becky isn’t about gatekeeping. She wants everyone to level up with her, preferably with a trip to Sephora. Plus, Jesse and Tati checked in with the 4th Mic and somehow turned the new “Lake America” conversation into a search for a better acronym alongside the Great Lakes. Because if you're going to rename a lake, you might as well make it catchy.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jesse and Tati and Becky Metz, who doesn't gatekeep.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I do not.

Speaker 3 (00:03):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
What's on your feed today?

Speaker 1 (00:05):
All right.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
So my mother texted me the other day. Let me
give you a little bit of a backstory. My mother
and I share our Sephora points. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Whenever she goes to Sephora, she puts down my phone number.
So sweet. So yes, I have... Under my phone number,
I have a ton of Sephora points.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Dang.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Thanks, Mom.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Which made us Rouge members. So if you know, you
got to spend a lot of money to get there.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Is that like Diamond Plus on Caesars Rewards? Because that's
what I am.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Just know it's a lot of money that you spend.
The flexing is real in this room. But keep in mind,
it's two women on one account. All that to say.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
My mom was like, Beck, every time I go to Sephora,
they tell me, use the points, use the points. I'm
looking at Sephora's website for the points that you have
to use, like 100 points.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
You get sample size stuff. I don't really know about that.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I found out on my feed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
So today at 9 a.m., Sephora opens up the $ 100
gift cards for a certain amount of points. I don't
know how many points it is. I know I can
get it because I have that many. I just know
I have that many for Rouge members. It's only at
9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Will you split the $ 100 gift card 50-50 with your mom,
or are you scooping a $ 100 gift card?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
No, no, absolutely not. Absolutely not, right?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
But wait, because it's going to feel like $ 50 worth
of points for the $ 100 gift card. That's what makes
it so tasty, right?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, but here's the thing is... I hear it's very elusive.
I hear it's very tough to get, but it's very possible.
I've heard it's very possible. So I will try it
today at 9 a.m., and I will report back if
it works or not.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Do you want to leave work?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
No, I can do it from the studio.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
We can do everything, right, Chachi?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
It's three hours away. No, we cannot do everything, Jesse.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You want to go get in line at Sephora or
what do we do?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Isn't that great though? If you are able to do that.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah. Cause usually for a, for a hundred points to
get a sample size of something. No, give me a
hundred dollars worth of something.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
I didn't think I would feel FOMO about rewards points,
but I cannot be in this conversation and I love
rewards points.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
And I'm like, what do I, I don't have any
Sephora ones.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Keep here. I don't have Sephora.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Thank you. Becky Metz for sharing what's on your feed.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Whether Jesse's sharing dad life stories or Tati's giving you
San Diego's top stories, mornings with them feel like catching
up with old friends.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Star 94.1 is your preset for good vibes.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
The Backstreet Boys are going to be all a part
of the F1 race in Vegas this year. The official
F1 like after party after the big race is a
huge Backstreet Boys party in the sphere.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
That's the plan right there.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Are you trying to get to that?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I am trying to get to that. It's my daughter's
birthday right around there. I want to take her to
go to Vegas.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
We want to.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Try to go to F1. We'll see. The tickets are
so expensive.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
All right.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Well, you know, you should be our friends here at
Jesse and Tati because we try to get you experiences
where you.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Don't have to pay so much money. Agreed.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
And that's going to happen all morning long. Hold on
a second.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Someone's on the talkback, Mike, about what you were mentioning, Tati,
about the new namings, the naming of the Great Lakes.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Hi, good morning. I was thinking about the new acronym
for the five great lakes and we should probably just
call it shame.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
That's an easier acronym to remember.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Have a good day.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Her talkback mic's a little low. Yeah, you can leave
us a message. Hit that red button if you're listening
to Star 94.1. On the iHeartRadio app, so she says
the great legs, the acronym. What do you think the
acronym looks like right now?

Speaker 5 (03:18):
So I'm glad that she said that because I saw
the exact same thing and I didn't want anybody to
believe that I was trying to put out my political
beliefs out there. So I'm glad she said it. The
acronym is H-O-M-E-S, which is HOMES.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Okay, go Huron.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. Okay. Now, if we
don't have the O because it's an A now, I
said Hamas. But she's right. It could be shame. Superior, Huron, America, Michigan, Erie.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Have we always been this creative yes what if politicians
didn't have such creative minds back in the day that
were in the in the general public roasting them and
their stuff for shame very interesting for shame we'll talk
about anything whatever your take is i don't care political
non-political we'll take all your talks on the iheart radio
app hit the talk back mic and we can find

(04:14):
out everything um coming up next in my morning hack
tell me i think i've I've done a variation of
this before, but it's a really good hack for today
if you're going to spend some time on the phone at.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Work, but you don't have a ton of time. I
got a great hack for that. Stay there.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Jesse's a San Diego native. Tati's got island roots and
a heart full of hustle.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Together, they're relatable, hilarious, and always showing love for San Diego.
