Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hello, Faithball. Welcome to a Mood and Chase episode of
the forty nine Ers First and ten podcast. I'm your host,
Brian McDonald. I'm sitting with Hollywood superstar Ian Bowen. We're
in LA for the Niners Rams game.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
And how you feeling.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I feel great. This is the first away game that
I've been to for our boys in my where I
used to live, right, so I had to fight through
all of the enemy fans forever, and so now I'm
here with all the allies together to root on faithful
to the Bay Boys.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I'm really excited, amazing.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Tell me about the origin story of your forty nine
Ers fandom. How did you originally become part of.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
The Faithball I grew up in Monterey, California, and so
I was Morna raised, So Candlestick Park was it was
the origin story for me, you know, when I was
a wee boy, and that's where it began. So it
was Montana. Rice Clark about the you know, the legends
that I got to see when I was young, and
they have just carried it through you know today, so

(01:08):
never never changing them, always faithful. This is it, man,
This is my life story of these guys.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Right here.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I love to see it what we are sitting pregame
at Soapy Stadium. So I've got to ask you, do
you have any pre dame superstitions or rituals that you
run through before in iodam?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
You know, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
I leave it to the talent on the field, and
I don't think that anything that I do.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Can affect them except enthusiasm, positive attitude, and I try
to spread that with the people that I talked to.
And there was someone outside that just now there's a
little bit down that we have some injuries, and they said,
that's okay.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
We have the talent to win the game no matter what.
So you just need to be positive and that positive
attitude energy will permeate and that's what changes people and
affects things. So can never be down, got to always
be up, and that, I would say, that would be
my ritual. That's my suit station is a good attitude.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
That's what being faithful is all about.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I think it is.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, may go, if we were to make a movie
about this twenty twenty four Niners team and we asked
you to star in it, which role would you like
to play?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Ooh, I actually would like to you know, I'm getting
older than I was, I still think that I could
be a player, so I probably would have to be
a coach of some kind.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Okay, taking in that Shanahan role. Maybe I'm meant.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
I think I'm a little bit too young to be
considered legitimately a coach.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
But I'm also a.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Bit too old to be anything but a kicker, right eat,
So I can't be brought berty as much as I
would love to throw the ball down field or you know,
run for a first down.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
But yes, I'll still could.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
One of the coaches, right, I have to make that happen,
not let's do all right, So tell me what you
think about this Niners Rams rivalry and just being in
LA for a Niner game.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
You know, the LA's got a great fan base.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
It's it's mostly transplants, but the people.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
That that show up here they have their own faithful
miss and they're they're good fans.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
They can't match what the people from the Bay are about.
But it's a very solid confrontation of of good teams
and good fans, and it's it just feels very fair.
The Rams have been you know, terrific over the last
you know, five day years. I think they won a
Super Bowl, so it's gonna be This is not gonna
be an easy game at all. This is gonna be rough,

(03:30):
but I think that we're gonna be pull it out.
I'm happy to be here in the stadium watching it,
and you know, I want everyone to play their best
and not get hurt.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I want it to be called.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Fair, no bogus calls, and then you know, we'll accept
it however it goes well.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
We are going to be bringing the positive energy to
this game. We'll kickoff. It's just about a start, but
we'll catch you next time, faithful.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Thank you very much.
