Illinois Governor G. A. B. Pritzker sat Thursday Pope Leo
the Fourteenth ushers in a new chapter. Chicago Mayor Brandon
Johnson called it one of the biggest moments in the
city's history, and Illinois GOP leader John Kerran said congratulations
to the South Side Zoned cardinal on becoming pope. President

Trump is reportedly thinking about raising income taxes on wealthy Americans.
Several media outlets say Trump is considering the tax hike
to help pay for the larger tax breaks he enacted
in twenty seventeen, which are set to expire next year.
The budget package currently being debated in Congress would extend

One day after similar protests at Columbia. A protest group
set up an encampment Thursday in the quad between Boylan
and Ingersoll Halls at Brooklyn Quney College in Midwood. By

pro protesters, including a person seen screaming in pain after

Sarah Lee Kessler reports.

Piro is a former judge and district attorney in New
York Westchester County. Trump made the announcement in a post
on True Social on Thursday, after replacing ed Martins's nominee
earlier in the day. Martin had struggled to get the
supporting needed to be confirmed. Piro is a longtime ally
of Trump and had been among those pushing voting conspiracy

The acting FEMA administrator is out of a job. Ira
Spitzer reports at FEMA confirms that Cameron Hamilton has been
removed from the position.

Hamilton had been leading efforts to reform FEMA and cut costs,
but that may not have been enough for Trump administration officials,
some of whom believe there's no need for the agency
at all.

The announcement came a day after Hamilton tool lawmakers on
Capitol Hill that he did not think it was in
the public's interest to eliminate the agency and that the
White House in Congress should determine the most logical use
of federal funding for emergency response. Hamilton's role is now

of mass Destruction Office Rousin. Trump is giving Rolls Royce

Trump announced Thursday that he was reducing tariffs on luxury
British car makers like Aston, Martin, Range, Rover, and Rolls
Royce from over twenty seven percent down to ten percent.
He said his reasoning was that Rolls Royce was not
going to be built in the US, and so that
he wouldn't even ask them to do that. Trump added
that he was keeping high tariffs on Mattel, which makes
about forty percent of its toys, including Barbie dolls, in China.
