shark sightings in New York has public officials monitoring the waters.
The shark sightings led to a temporary beach closure on
the fourth of July. The sightings happened along the shores
of the Rockaway Beach. Officials with NYC Emergency Management teamed
up with lifeguards to monitor the sharks using drones before
ending the hour long beach closure before the holiday weekend.
