The US is ready to strike military targets in Venezuela.
That's according to multiple reports, which say the targets include
military facilities used for drug trafficking. The strikes would mark
an escalation against Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro's regime. The Trump
administration has conducted several strikes on alleged drug boats in

the Caribbean in recent weeks. The strikes have been criticized
by Maduro as well as Colombian President Gustavo Petro. The
FBI says it stopped a potential terror attack. In a
post on x this morning, FBI Director Cash Bettel said
multiple suspects have been arrested in Michigan who are allegedly
plotting a violent attack this weekend. Bettel added that more

details will be forthcoming, and he also thanked the men
and women of the FBI in law enforcement. President Trump
is calling on Republicans to eliminate the Senate fill that's
allowing the government shutdown to continue. Ryan Nobles reports the
president made the comment shortly after returning from his trip
to Asia.

Posting overnight it's now time for the Republicans to play
their Trump card, calling for an approach they've resisted so far,
the so called Nuclear option, which would allow Republicans to
pass bills with a simple majority rather than the sixty
votes which requires them to work with Democrats.

Many Republicans oppose removing the filibusters, saying it benefits the
GOP when Democrats are in power. Russia says it will
follow America's lead and resume testing of nuclear weapons. More

A Kremlin spokesperson said if another country resumed nuclear testing,
Russia would likely do the same, adding that recent tests
of nuclear power drones, and nuclear capable missiles didn't involve
any detonations and couldn't be viewed as nuclear testing. The
most recent known nuclear weapons tests were carried up by
North Korea in Towy Tent seventeen. Russia's last confirmed nuclear

I'm Michael Kassner. The FBI is investigating this second ice
involved shooting in southern California in a week Temmi Tracheo
with more.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
The shooting happened Thursday morning in Ontario. Officials say they
tried conducting a traffic stop on Vineyard Avenue when the
driver reversed his vehicle directly at ICE agents. The driver
reportedly was not the target for ICE agents at the time,
but fearing for the safety, the agents opened fire. The
Ontario Police Departments as it responded to a request for
emergency assistance from DHS officers, but were not involved in

the shooting. Recently, ICE officers fired at a man in
South Los Angeles demanded an agent where hurt, but both
are expected to recover.

Mayor Eric Adams is condemning an anti Semitic art exhibit
that popped up on taxpayer funded Governor's Island in New York.

The real danger from Halloween isn't razor blades and tainted candy,

While the FDA does recommend inspecting candy brought home by
trigger treaters, it's also important to cross the street safely.
Kids are three and a half times more likely to
be killed by a car on Halloween than on an
average day. Costumes should be visible and should also allow
