In just four minutes, the Senate has voted to end
the record long government shutdown, approving a bipartisan plan to
reopen federal agencies. On this vote, the eyes are sixty,
the nays are forty. The bill, as amended is passed.
The vote saw eight Democrats join Republicans to break the deadlock.

Trump has already signaled his support for the measure. Flight

A group of transgender service members who served for years
in the Air Force defending their country are suing the

The suit was filed by the Air Force veterans who
served from fifteen to eighteen years. President Trump this year
ordered that all transgender troops be removed from the military.
If they didn't voluntarily leave, the military said they'd be
identified and expelled. The Air Force said those who served
fifteen to eighteen years could apply for early retirement benefits,
then reversed courses said no retirement benefits would be given.
