In just four minutes, President Trump has announced his so
called Trump Accounts Savings initiative for children this afternoon.

Michael and Susan Dell are committing to one of the
largest private donations in American history.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Trump says every American child born during his second term
will receive a one thousand dollars government deposit to help
start their account. Dell Technologies founder and CEO Michael Dell
and his wife Susan joined the President for the announcement
to talk about the six point twenty five billion dollar
donation they're making to the program. Financial experts say the

Trump Accounts amount basically to an IRA for kids. Intense
winter weather is bringing heavy snow and icy roads to
the Midwest and Northeast. As Aaron McLoughlin reports, travel disruptions
are expected to be widespread due to the poor conditions.

We also expecting more chaos in the skies with more
fly cancelations more delays as this storm system is making
its way through the Northeast, also impacting schools, with school
out or delayed in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Millions are under some sort of weather alert as the
nor'easter will last through at least Wednesday. States like Ohio,
West Virginia, and parts of Pennsylvania could see more than
an inch per hour of snow. The White House is
doubling down on its use of lethal force against alleged
Venezuelan drug boats. Press Secretary Caroline Levitt was asked about
a Washington Post report that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth

ordered the killing of everyone aboard on an alleged drug
boat in the Caribbean, leading to a second strike to
eliminate two survivors.

And on September second, Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to
conduct these kinetic strikes. Admiral Bradley worked well within his
authority and the law directing the engagement to ensure the
boat was destroyed and the threat to the United States
was eliminated.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Levitt did not confirm whether the second strike specifically targeted
survivors of the first strike. Bradley is reportedly going to
brief lawmakers on the incident this week. I'm Lisa Carton.
Arizona Senator Mark Kelly says President Trump has threatened to
kill him. Tammy Trerio has details.

It comes after Kelly and other Democratic lawmakers were featured
in a viral video urging service members to refuse unlawful orders.

Kelly told reporters on Monday that Trump has said he
and his fellow Democrats should be arrested, hanged, and executed.
Kelly said Trump is trying to bully him and it
won't work. The Department of War says it's open to
review into allegations of misconduct by Kelly, who's a former

The governor of Louisiana wants to see National Guard troops
back in New Orleans before Christmas. Rory O'Neil has more.

Governor Jeff Landry says he spoke with President Trump on Monday,
who promised that Guard troops will be back the Big
Easy in two weeks. The deployment will involve more troops
than the security detail that was sent for last weekends
by u classic. Landry says the federal crackdown on crime
means the Guard troops will likely stay in New Orleans.

At least two people are in critical condition after an
explosion in an electrical room in a downtown Los Angeles
high rise. Mark Mayfield has that story.

It happened just before seven o'clock last night on the
twentieth floor of the one Wilshire building on Wilshire Boulevard
near Grand Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department says two
people were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The
nature of their injuries is not clear. Firefighters say there
is no longer a fire danger and the electrical issue
is now resolved. Still, the twenty five story building was
evacuated from the twentieth story to the top floor. The

cause of the fire is under investigation.
