much of a mental health impact they can have on preteens.

The American Academy of Pediatrics finds pre teens who own
a smartphone and use it but regularly are at greater
risk of depression, obesity, and insufficient sleep. The preteens had
a thirty one percent greater chance of suffering from depression
and sixty two percent greater chance of struggling with their sleep.
The study looked at ten thousand children comparing those who

had a smartphone before age twelve, and those who got
