In just four minutes, lawmakers in Indiana have approved new
congressional maps meant to favor Republicans. The map passed and
the Indiana House Friday. It's meant to help give Republicans
two additional seats in the US Congress, though some Republicans
in the Indiana Senate say there's not enough support for

the new map. President Trump's been pushing Indiana lawmakers to
redraw the maps to widen the party's majority in Washington.
Next week, Democrats in Congress will get the vote they
were promised on Affordable Care Act tax credits. We get

It was the volatile issue while the government shut down
that ended only after Senate Majority Leader John Thune promised
a group of Democrats will vote on the issue. Republicans
admit they're struggling to craft a legislation that would get
enough votes to fix the core issue of rising costs. Meanwhile,
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will propose extending ACA subsidies
for three years, with a vote in the Senate expected Thursday.

It's unlikely Schumer's proposal will get enough for publican support.
But it will be interesting as the Obama subsidies are
due to expire at the end of this year and
the Trump administration is looking to head off a spike

Two people who survived a US attack on an alleged
drug boat in the Caribbean were reportedly seen waving before
being killed in a second strike. Video of the air

Another lobe of freezing Arctic airs expected to push southward
into the US today. Forecasters say that i'll plunge the
northern Plain States and upper Midwest into a deep freeze.
Below freezing temperatures are expected as far south as Louisville.
Forecaster say the cold will reach as far as Atlanta
and Warrens Marius could get even colder on Sunday and Monday.
