The man accused of planting pipe bombs outside the Republican
and Democratic headquarters before the Capitol riot may have been
a Trump supporter. US Attorney for the District of Columbia,
jeanean Piro, said Friday that Brian Cole Junior told investigators
he was disappointed in the results of the twenty twenty
election and believed it was stolen. He had his initial
court hearing on Friday and did not enter a plea.

The National Guard member who survived last month's deadly attack
near the White House is slowly healing. West Virginia Governor
Patrick Morrissey cited staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe's family for the
information in an update on Friday. The twenty four year
old guardsman is expected to spend another two to three
weeks in intensive care as he recovers from a head wound.
The Afghan national charged with murder in the attack made

a virtual court appearance Tuesday from a hospital bed. Police
on Long Island say a man stabbed his mother and
father to death inside the deli. The Lisa Salvadi has
the story.

Nassau County detectives say thirty year old Vito Dambrosio argued
with his sixty two year old mother and seventy year
old father inside the A and A Italian deli in
Bethpage and stabbed his mother first, then his father. Cop
say when they arrived, Dan Brosio was still inside the
deli and had blood on his hands. He was taken
to the hospital, was virtually arraigned at bedside, and pleaded

not guilty to murder charges. Police say Dmbrosio was estranged
from the family following an argument in November with the sibling,
who took out an order of protection against him and
Lisa Salvati.

The Tower of London is closed after protesters threw custard
on a display case containing Britain's Crown jewels. Police say
four people were arrested this morning after activist smeared food
onto a case containing the state crown. A video posted
on x showed a group gathered around the display before
dumping yellow liquid on one side of the glass case.
Dollar General has announced it will open hundreds of new

US stores in twenty twenty six. The Tennessee based retailer
said it's planning to open roughly four hundred and fifty
new US stores and ten new stores in Mexico. I'm
Rob Bartier. The Trump administration says US embassies and consulates
will expedite visa applications for visitors attending the FIFA World
Cup in California. Jim Forbes has more.

The Games are coming to Santa Clara's Levi Stadium, and
Mayor Lisa Gilmore says it's important for athletes, families and
fans to come.

watch the games, not just the athletes, but those spectators

Santa Clara is preparing for an influx of fans this summer. Still,
