Australian police now say sixteen people were killed and forty
others injured in today's terror attack in Sydney, New South Wales.
Police revised the death toll after gunmen opened fire on
a crowd celebrating the Jewish festival of Honukah at a
popular beach. Official say one of the shooters was also killed,
and Australian Police Commissioner says a counter terrorism task force

is now investigating the shooting. Several major US cities are
deploying additional officers to synagogues following the deadly attack. President
Trump is reflecting on three deadly massed shootings over the weekend.
At the White House today, Trump offered his condolences to
the families of the victims killed in Syria, Australia and Providence,
Rhode Island and University.

And likewise in Australia, as you know, that was a
terrible attack. Two American soldiers were killed while on patrol
in Syria, while at least sixteen people were killed and
forty others injured during a mass shooting at a Jewish
event in Sydney. Two people were also killed after a
gunman opened fire Saturday at Brown University in Providence. The

president called it a rough day. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky
and US envoys have arrived in Berlin for another round
of peace talks in an effort to end the ongoing
war with Russia. The Ukrainian president is also set to
meet personally with President Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witcoff and
son in law Jared Kushner. It comes after Zelenski suggested

abandoning its country's ambition of joining NATO in exchange for
security guarantees. Another atmospheric river could hit the Pacific Northwest
as early as this evening. Floodwaters are still receding in
Washington State from the last atmospheric river, but forecasters say
another rainy stormfront will start moving in from the Pacific
