Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to Unplugged. Happy New Year's to everybody. No
better way to start the New Year's off to have
my dog on the brown cop.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I made it back on the New Year.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
The Shawney TUTSI rolls, and then our other brother right here,
the episode of the year.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
The people have spoken, the one and only Modello, Max.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
The winner of the smoking.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
All of love.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
It's a bunch of love. To god, Damn, I was
just blowing every motherfucking by that.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I was. It's a lot of love.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Female love too.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I'm like, God, they love all Max.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
You know what's crazy is Max, it hasn't even been
a year, bro, it's been less than a year. Because
you got to think it was all Star in the
Bay and you remember how this happened. So and this
is no disrespect to Max, but we're supposed to do
we Believe show, and the we Believe show fell through
and was it you that hit Max like it always does. Yeah,
we will leave that how it's supposed to be left.

(01:02):
But we believe showing the bay fell through and then
we call Max and it was probably the biggest blessing
in the Yeah, it was the biggest blessing because we
I mean, we kicked it like we didn't know each
other since college or high school. That's how we was acting,
drinking and smoking. And look at you now, Max. They
love old Max.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Oh man, that's what I'm talking about. Love y'all. Guys too, boy,
y'all help me take off like a motherfucking rocket to now.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Love to.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Waves love for both of you. Deal. Everybody'll y'all know
who he is. Everybody in the studio you know who
is I love all.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
The best thing about it though, like one thing, we
always pride ourselves so we don't force nothing. It happened organically,
you know what I'm saying. Everything, even the love you
getting from everybody, that's love. They probably been half for you.
They just didn't know what you was to give it
to you. So we were glad you was able to
have you receive that love.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Yeah, put me on that platform and why I can
be able to do what I do. Man, I appreciate
it means a man and.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Try different hairstyles and ship too.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I just woke up.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
On the side.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
That's it yet, look like you got some length on
the Max. You gotta want you gotta have something that
the women can run their fingers through, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
You know that.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Man, let's put the ship on the hot cone first.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
But but anyway, let's let's get to it. We all
got together before the season, and all of us loved
the Warriors. Jack jumped off the deep end and said
they got the best starting five.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
In the n b A.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
And I just we.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
You know, you know, you can't swim anyway, but it
just hasn't and it hasn't been a bad season. But
what are they date?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Seventh or eighth in the in their eighth right now,
nineteen and seventeen, nineteenth offensive the league, seventh defense in
the league, the floating right about five hundred. I think
it's it's clear to see that they're not necessarily championship contender.
We're about halfway through the season, and I don't think
any of us would would really argue with that. Is

(03:20):
there anything they can do trade wise or getting Jimmy
to shoot more shots, or getting kaminga shit together in
your guys' opinion, with this roster that they can do
to improve who they are, Jack.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I don't think it's a move they can make. Matt,
I just think that after all Star break they need
to come in with a sense of urgency.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I think that's it.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
I think they have the experience, they have all the
guys they need, you know, Akamingo Moore to give him
a bigger role. But I think as a team wise,
they have a team even harder. You know, he's still old,
but he can get the job done. He gets high
some times. I think they still have the team and
experience to make a run. I don't think somebody that'll
come in right now would help them. Middle blow out

(04:00):
all up Steph on his way out. Anyway, Max thoughts.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Motherfucker's done. It's old fucker's ship.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Playing and simple.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
It's just it's over man. It's a right man. The
motherfucker's done.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Man.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
You see this ship what I've seeing, Yeah, it's over man.
So I just don't keep it short like that.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
It's over man, it's done, shortan funky Steph is still
at twenty nine points a game and forty percent from
the three point line.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Obviously, if they were to make a trade, that shit
tickled you had Jack.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I did say, you see this ship seen.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
If they were to make a trade, you would have
to think Jimmy Butler would be in it or a
significant trade.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Jimmy Butler or Draymond Green would be in it. Obviously.
I think Kaminga's probably gonna get moved at some point.
He's only played in eighteen out of what thirty five games.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
January fifteenth when he can get traded.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
January fifteenth is when he can fish get traded. The
one thing that I found interesting that uh net producer
Nate pointed out is is Jimmy there's at twenty points
five rebounds of five or says very solidly, only shoots
eleven shots a game, so they need him to shoot more.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
First and foremost, al.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Horfortz played seventeen games, and he's looking like his age,
he's looking older. He'll he'll he'll give you four or
five threes in the game, you know, every once in
a while. But at the end of the day, he's
still a big man that's thirty nine years old and
that's hard to beat. So it's going to be interesting
to see what this team does moving forward. You know,
we've seen Kobe ride the ship until it sunk. Is

(05:30):
that something that's going to happen here with Steph? You
think Stack he's gonna ride it to the wheels fall off,
and that's kind of the end of it.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Yeah, because I think the way the league is now,
it's different. I think it serves him better to end
his career way he started. You know what I'm saying.
We won the championships. I don't think he should go
somewhere else and be on the losing team just to
be a Charlotte for two years.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Just you know, I don't think I think he deserves more.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
And letting him give him his flowers on the way
out and treat him how he's supposed to be treating
an organization.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
I think that's how she goes.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Last week, Draymond and Steve Kirk got an argue on
the bench, and Draymond decided to excuse yourself, Max, What
did you make of that situation?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Should? I get it? I mean that was me before.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Shit, when I played should I used to have arguments
with Rudy t and all kind of motherfucking coaches, And
you know, sometime, man, I commend the motherfucker.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
You know, he got up and walked away, and but
at least he came back, you know what I mean.
But but I get it, man, I you know.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
You both of your grown men, you supposed to respect
the coach everything. You know, whatever the coach said, you
go buy that. But you know you men, and and
dra Man Draymond, he's a hot spirited guy. He liked
me like Jack, like you, So you know what I mean.
You can't say anything till motherfucker sometime, you know what
I mean. And Steve probably said something out of character

(06:46):
and Drey just didn't like it. So he just probably said,
if I lose any more money, and before I lose
myself on this team, I better get my ass up
out of here and go into the locker room and
cool back off and then come back out here.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
So I commend what the man did. It was it was.
I think it's growth.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
There is a history of motherfucker's putting hands on next
in Golden State.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I mean when I saw this, Jack, I kind of
felt like, obviously Steve curR and Draymond Green have have
a relationship that no one understands probably with them, and
there's things that could be said and done. Some of
our situation where we could say shit that no one
else could say to each other and do shit that
no one else could do, and it's an understanding and
at the end of the day, it's going to be loving.
Am I saying they're best friends? Probably not, but I
know there's definitely a mutual respect there. And to Max's point,

(07:31):
for Draymond, some people may not agree like it, criticize
it for Draymond knowing himself and knowing how Steve is,
because Steve's gonna fire right back to remove hisself.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I wasn't mad at it.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
No, it happens.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
You know, we all say it happens, but as it
probably would be the last time, it probably happened again.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
The way they plan.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Moving on trade season is upon us. Uh, it's looming.
We're about almost almost almost a halfway through. He's about
thirty five, thirty six games into the season. Let's play
a little game called push yeah fast, ain't it?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
These are the dog days?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
You all remember January until All Stars that the shitthole days,
like you couldn't wait to get to All Star right,
Like these are right because Christmas is super live. If
you get a chance to play then and then it's
just this next month and a half is kind of
a you know, this is where some teams that are
smart can make runs teams that need to make runs
right now, that are really locked in heading the All
Star can jump in the standings. But let's play something

(08:29):
called push or pivot. There are some guys we've been
talking about over this season that possibly need a fresh
start or trays it didn't work out.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
So push.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
If you like the push, that means they're gonna push
through it. If you pick pivot, that means they're gonna pivot.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Away and trade.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Let's start first with Anthony Davis who is currently at
what twenty points and eleven rebounds a game? How many
games does he play this year?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Eighteen?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
At a possible three thirty four thirty five games Jack. Obviously,
this was the trade that shook the NBA. Luca's numbers
are insane with the Lakers. Ad again, when win healthy, incredible.
When not healthy, kind of blends in and doesn't even play.
So if your magic excuse me, Maverick management, are you

(09:23):
trading Ad?

Speaker 6 (09:25):
I'm gonna push you don't push through it? Yeah, because
you're gonna get Kyrie back. I think at this point
of AD's career, you know what he's gonna be. You
still you're still not an AD out there.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
He's still at twenty and eleven too. Let's keep that.

Speaker 6 (09:36):
But the other night he had like thirty and eighteen
or something like that, so he still can have those
big games. You bring Kyrie back with the young Cooper
flag and the team they got. I think they just
just pushed through it this year and see if it
can come together.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
I don't think you can get somebody else, and you
know what I'm saying that would do what Ad does
but also compliment the team like he does.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
So now Max thoughts, I'm gonna say, you have to
push through too, man, because like he said, a real
bad ballot point when he said about Kyrie, you know
Kyrie coming back.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
At some point, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
So with him, Kyrie and the young guys playing well
right now too, So it's I think he should push
Stoard to I mean with shit, I mean, he gotta
play more games, man, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
In his career, got to play.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
How old is he?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Ad?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
He's only like thirty four right, younger than that?

Speaker 6 (10:24):
Is?

Speaker 3 (10:24):
He? Like, he's younger than thirty four?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Thirty four? How does he thirty two?

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Thirty two?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Dango?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Eventry's wearing on though, According to Chris Haynes. There's been
talks that he will most likely be traded before the
trade deadline ends, so it'll be interesting to kind of follow.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
That and see if that happened. He said, I believe it.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Dallas currently sits thirteen and twenty three AD. He's playing
about half the games. It'll be interesting see again. Obviously,
getting someone like Kyrie back coming off for knee is different, though.
I think that the hardest thing. I had a minor
knee injury, but the hardest thing is coming back and
trusting that needs. I'm wondering how long it'll take Kyrie
to b Kyrie, but anytime you can, you know, get
a player like him back. I think Cooper Flags had

(11:05):
an incredible year, especially considering the positions he's had to
play and things he's had to do. He showed flashes
of why he's going to be here for a long time.
So it'll be interesting to see what happens with this
this Maverick organization. Next up, push or pivot? Should the
Clippers move on Kawhi Leonard? I say, fuck no, I

(11:26):
don't think so.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
I know they ain't doing shit. They ain't doing over there.
But he's playing well.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Well, that's the one thing I want to say.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
They're only two games out of the play in they're
twelfth currently in the Western Conference, they're fourteen and they're
ten and fourteen win. Kawhi is in the lineup, but
he's been this year. He's averaging thirty and seven this
last month and a half, but he went on a
tear where he was averaging almost forty for a little bit.
He's only missed nine or ten games this year, which

(11:57):
is a huge improvement. I want to shout out Jay
Harden though too. James Harden's had.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
A hell of a year.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
He did a lot of heavy lifting early in the season.
I want to say he's at like twenty six and eight,
if I'm not wrong, should be an All Star this year. Obviously,
the departure of Chris Paul, the team's been playing better.
I don't think that has anything to do with it,
but you know, during the season they've gone through some shit.
You know, Obviously they want to get to that All
Star break and still be in a position to make

(12:22):
a run on that last twenty five thirty games of
the season. So I like Kawhi obviously to me when
he's healthy that on both ends of the floor. There's
no better player to me in the league on both
ends of the floor. So I think that's something you
definitely keep. How many games played the season, like twenty four,
miss ten games, he's a missed ten game, supera. Yeah,

(12:45):
solid and playing. He's playing like thirty five minutes a game.
If I'm not mistaken, first career fifty didn't he?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yeah, push a pivot Trey Young.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Hawks are two and eight with Trey Young in the lineup,
fifteen and twelve without him. I think Jason Johnson is
now their franchise player. Big strong, young boy twenty four
to ten and almost nine assists a game. Nikile Alexander Walker,
someone who came over as a free agent, is at
twenty points a game. Oh Congo Stretch five that played

(13:14):
at Chino Hills with the Ball Brothers at sixteen and seven,
shooting thirty six percent from the three. So it looks
like the Hawks have kind of turned the corner. But
I think at the end of the day, whatever his
career numbers, twenty five, twenty six and ten, twenty five
and ten four time all start, you know, And sometimes
some people say those are empty numbers. You know, he
had the one run to the Eastern Conference Finals a

(13:35):
few years ago against the Ran through the Knicks. Max,
I'll start with you, does Trey Young need a fresh start?

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yeah, he got this pivot. Yeah, they gotta get the
hell out of there.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
I mean it is I mean, young guy Johnson is
playing well over there, so I mean it's just turned
over a new league man. So but yeah, he gotta
get out of there. I think deadline would be good
for him. Man, that's a great point thoughd Man.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
You get you said five and ten.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Man, come on, can you see him in the Houston map.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
But that's what I'm trying to tell you is keep man.
I keep saying that man him a job. We need
one of them him a job.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
A job might be Houston might be too much for job,
might just I mean just yeah, I think Trey I
fit good with Houston.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Man. We get Trey and Houston. Boy, I think we
got a real good chance. But we just we just
need that point.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Oud.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
I keep saying, Jack, at twenty five and ten, could
Trey Young be your best player on a team.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Well, we caught up in the league now where with
so many guys are one dimension. Some guys play d
some guys can score.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
You don't have too many guys like Jayden that play
on both ends, you know what I'm saying, Like Anthony Edwardson.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying. You gotta you gotta
keep those type of guys.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
He in a funny situation though, because he's so small
and if he not scoring, he's not helping your offense.
He definitely ain't helping you on defense. So you know
what I'm saying, Like, he's just not effective in the
game right now, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
And I love try.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
I hate even talking about it because it's such a
good dude, you know what I'm saying. But like he's
just so small, he not be not scoring points. He's
definitely helping your defense. So the only thing, and y'all
talk about Houston, I think that that would be the
perfect trade right there. It's not a it's not a quick,
it's not long travel. Memphis and Atlanta's right there. Switch

(15:23):
them to who.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Job?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Yeah, switch them to But does that make either team better?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
I think it makes Atlanta better.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
I think it makes because one thing Atlanta's gonna get
behind a guy like Joe you already have Jalen. I
think John need that new fresh, that fresh breath of life.
I think he'll get in Atlanta, you know what I'm saying,
and he can be himself. It's not going far as
like an hour flight, so he can still feel like
he at home. I think that'll be a great move
for both of them. I would agree.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
I think that trade would definitely help Atlanta more than
it would help Memphis.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
But that'd be interesting. Next up.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Grizzlies are six and twelve with John on the floor,
nine and eight without him. They're currently tenth in the
Western Conference. Jack, you just made a point where you
feel like we all agree. You don't even have to ask.
Everyone thinks this is a pivot. He needs a fresh start.
Is there anywhere else is it? Does a lamello for
a job makes sense? Just said Trey Young, Minnesota. Any

(16:21):
other teams, Max, you think that the joh you said
Houston already Minnesota?

Speaker 6 (16:25):
In Minnesota, they can send Mike Conley back to Minnesota.
He can retire, I mean to Memphis. He can retire
a lot more than that, though, I'm saying that that
right Milwaukee, do the Bucks do the Bucks make sense.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Max Job's not. Yeah, it makes sense because you ain't
gonna have nothing to do.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
There can't do that, do that, t can't do that.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
They had that that that Milwaukee made Jack become a
mixtape rapper. After that, he was not fucking with Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Was tired, bro I swear.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
So John needs a fresh start and we have to
see where he lands. Jared McCain someone last year who
was at about fifteen points a game, was you know,
front runner for rookie the year at one point only
played about twenty five games. Goes down and how the
game goes they end up drafting Vja Edgecomb and now
he's come in and kind of take a bulk of
his minutes. McCain's numbers are he's playing six minutes a game,

(17:19):
Less is at seven points a game. Edgecom is at
twenty points five and three forty percent from the three
super athletic is McCain's. See obviously, so the question is
McCain someone that should trade. But at the same time,
I'm also to the mindset, why not continue to develop him?
You know what you got once he gets healthy, and

(17:41):
why can't he be a six man type guy? But
what do your guys thoughts? Do you pivot and try
to get something for McCain? Did you guys sit with
them and get Like I said, the biggest thing coming
back from injuries, coming back and trusting that thing, you
know what I mean. So he's still got some time
to go until he really trusts his knee. But excuse me,
Edgecum's numbers, that's this last month, he's at twenty points,

(18:01):
five and three. What do your guys starts nineteen games. Uh,
thirty five percent from the field has became but again
fifteen points and thirty eight percent from deep when he
was healthy.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
I like him off the bench. I was able to
see him come off the bench against Chicago. He gave them,
He gave them a lot of energy. Like he played hard. Yeah,
you know what I'm saying. I wouldn't have thought that
because he's playing his nails. But he played dumb hard.
He played dumb hard, bro and like both sides, bro.
When I watched him coming the game, like he was

(18:34):
the he played. He was a hard not only was
the hardest playing person on the court, but he affected
the game.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
He changes the energy and he changed the game.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
So if they don't see him in the star lineup
because I like the team to have. Now, I think
he could be a good six man of the type.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Guy I like Jeremy Kaine. You know our boyd Rico.
Heinz over there.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
He said he loved Jeremy Kain his work ethic and
how much he loves the game. So I think there's
a lot of game in him.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Obviously. I just think he has to get healthy.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Max.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Is this someone you would try to move.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
They gotta pivot with. I mean, they gotta he gotta go.
I mean, I mean because the time is not gonna
be there. He's not gonna be he's not gonna be happy,
and I mean shitt. He just hit a game winner
the other night. I mean he's playing. I mean, he's
playing well. So he's gotta go.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
I think that backup role because it's gonna be some
minutes with that team because somebody go down. Yeah, I'm
not gonna go over there.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
I'm talking about the insurance bills through the rule nigga
show up one day.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Man, I got a mind. Grand I ain't gonna play
for two weeks. I'm telling us how I go on.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
I'm not mad at that six man because obviously, I
feel like a healthy jere McCain Camby is a starter
on an NBA roster, but not right now. Embrace that
six man roll, make a run for that this year,
and then push your number up and then and then
try to bust the moves. It'll be interesting. Embiid. Embiid
has looked great in the last few weeks. Teams nine, nine,

(19:55):
and seven with him in the lineup twenty eight, seven
and five at about thirty four minutes a game the
last five games, no secret, similar to Anthony Davis. But
I think on a higher level, a healthy Joe El
Embiid is a fucking problem. He just hasn't been healthy.

(20:15):
What do you guys thought that he's you know, he's
he's been healthy for a little bit. He's playing really well.
And that team, what are they two games up?

Speaker 3 (20:21):
But what are they? Their fourth, fourth and fifth seed,
fifth in the East.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Thoughts on this team. Paul George is at about seventeen
points a game. We know what max he's given us,
We know what edge comes given us. McCain is working
his way back in shape. Big fellas out there, they
say the East is open this year. Do you guys
believe in in Philly.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
I like Philly. I mean, you know, I like everything everything, but.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I think some other shit's about to come. With the
way your eyes closed and the way you're shaking your head.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yeah, I love the team. I love the young energy
that got the young talent all that.

Speaker 6 (20:53):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Yes, I and B don't care. Bro, I've never seen
somebody play basketball with no socks on.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
When when did he do that?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Pull it up? Look it up? He played some sketches
with no socks in a real basketball game?

Speaker 6 (21:12):
Yes, no way, Bro's you're not taking the game serious
enough for me.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Bro, you know ain't gonna take no nothing.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
That's that that that's just that, that's just the actually
ankle bone I sees, Bro.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
That's just me as a basketball that's just you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
Yeah, how much I care about the game and all that,
you showing up with no socks on like you just
got of going through the most And he maybe that
may be that good man, He may be that good
in this league where he ain't got to wear no
socks and get taped nothing like that. But when I
see that what we played the game and how we care,
you don't care about the game just show up getting.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
What if he tells you he has the little booty
socks song.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
Bro, those show up, you can you can see those
right below the ankle. You know that, you can see
those right below them. Yeah, you can see those.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
We ain't have nothing on, bro, he thought, he I
don't know what he was doing.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
That's disrespectful to the game man, that is.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
That is one thing we've heard too, along with obviously
his leadership, showing up lad and and and just not
having the quality you would think he doesn't have to
be the leader, but just having the qualities as a
as a person you would think a superstar player should have.
So it'll be interesting to see again. A healthy en
beat is a problem. Whether the motherfuckers weren't socks or not,
it's still a killer. Sketchers with no socks is crazy.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
I missed that one.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
But Lister's on the way. Oh, Blister's on the way.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Blisters. But he might have grow up playing barefoot, you
know what I mean. So it might be nothing. It
might be nothing.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
That might be.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
All Star game is in LA this year.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
All the smoke will be present, but it is looming.
The first fan returned had Lebron I'm sitting at ninth
in the West. Fans picked the starting five. Fans vote
for fifty vote.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
The way fan voting works is fans twenty five.

Speaker 7 (23:13):
Media, starting five.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Okay, So for yeah, so they said fifty percent is fan.
It used to be one hundred percent fan choice, right, yes, sir.
So they took that power away because some of you
guys are bullshit and putting people on the ballot that
didn't deserve it. So van voting twenty five players, twenty
five media. The reserves are selected by the coach and
his staff that they picked the final seven players. Obviously,

(23:36):
the league's in great shape. There's a lot of great
young talent. Lebron most likely won't start this year in
the All Star Game. I think he'll still be an
All Star. But Jack, what are your thoughts on that no.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Five players will need to be starting befow him? Is
that's simple?

Speaker 6 (23:52):
I love Bron, what he's doing is still historic, legendary,
all that, But today in the league, right now, right
he's not one of the five best players in the
w It's just that simple.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
No knock to him, It's just what it is.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Starts blank, period.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Who is Who are the top who are the top
who would be the stars at the All Star Games today?

Speaker 8 (24:13):
S t A would be up there and would be
up there Jo Kie but he's hurt. Now take that away.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Luca Luca and that makes you no, Luca's definitely in
the next Who's the who would be the fifth? Durant
could be in there, d Wemby where we're probably getting
votes when we definitely.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Start k D.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Yeah, I say said k D.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
So you got shy as Luca Wimby Luca, Yeah, yeah,
you gotta have they gotta have a big Yeah, that's
what Wimby might be.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
That's what women.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I think. I think, I think it's going gonna start
or k D.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Okay, these numbers are more points by game.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
What about Darren Fox? Darren Fox, I don't.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Know if he's played enough games, but he's I think
people forget how good he is because the Castle and
old boy, who's the young boy Harper?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah, it would be good.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
San Antonio is gonna be san Antonio is going to
be scary scared.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
Curry s g a wey wow, okay, and take off
the board.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
He's done. He's out through All Star.

Speaker 7 (25:30):
For four weeks right now, weeks it'll be Edwards.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Yeah, so say that again. You said Steph s g A.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Wimby and so it was with so a man is
currently sixth in voting, if if, if you replace him
for uh.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Ye moved him to the top five.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Movement and.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
They're all still young, bad motherfuckers. Though we're going to
see the sixty five games is a mark that the
league implemented to try to slow down or or stop
people from doing the load management shit if you wanted
to be in the awards. But there's been a conversation
obviously with some guys that if you miss, you know,

(26:13):
Yoki is about to miss four weeks possibly maybe even
more with this, it could possibly have them out of
contention to you know, win an MVP rate.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
It would have him he's off.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
The board now. Couldn't even bet on him on DraftKings trade.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Oh really, So this injury takes someone like and he's
had an incredible what are his numbers real quick?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
I mean it's like thirty no yok fifty game right,
So that's what it looked like.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Though he's at thirty points, twelve and eleven and sixty
percent from the floor. And now you're telling me this
injury takes him off the board for MVP, although Shehay
is the favorite and there's other guys in there. It's
just obviously we understand where the league was coming from,
trying to get these dudes to play basketball.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
But do you guys at this point you got feel
I have.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
To focus on my page fifty six points sixteen boys, fifteen.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
To stupid this video games, video game.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
What are you guys?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
What are your guys' thoughts on the sixty five games?
Again understanding that the thought process behind it they want
guys to play games, is sixty five games too much
in this pace, in current NBA for these guys to
play and if you go down with three four weeks,
you're in jeopardy of missing all accolades.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
I would say seventy five percent of the games mean.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
So seventy five percent of the games will be what
sixty games make? Sixty one sixty one.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
Games one, sixty one and a half?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Yeah, I think I think seven.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
I think seventy five makes sense to me, BRO because basically,
you play seventy five per cent of the year, those
little nick knack injuries that you set out for coach
giving your game off, you ain't gonna really notice that
because you're playing seventy five percent of the games, you
know what I'm saying. All the other stuff, man, it's
just a different time, man. They were, they were it
seemed like they rewarded now but not playing, you know

(27:58):
what I'm saying. So why would you run on the
court when you're still getting rewarded for not playing.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
So that's the time we.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
End Max thoughts on sixty five games too many?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Not enough?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
You came from an area where and we came. We
we caught the end. We caught the end of an
era where eighty two was a badger honor.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Yeah, I think it's gotta be more, too, man like Jack,
So you gotta play more games, man, I mean, because
you got these people playing a harder money to come
out and watch these people play, man, And then you're
sitting over there in the suit and ship and I
don't know what them persons and all.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
That shit they be having a word.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
I'm just saying, I just don't per sever now, but.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
I just think, yeah, motherfucker's needs to be playing seventy
five to eight percent of the games.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Yeah, word five eighty percent? What percentage of sixty five.
Is that eighty five or ninety.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
Sixty five percent? Would be fifty three games?

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Three games? That ain't enough?

Speaker 3 (28:50):
No, what is that? Sixty five games?

Speaker 2 (28:52):
How many?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
What percentage of that?

Speaker 1 (28:53):
It's like seventy almost eighty percent of the games. Okay,
seventy five doesn't sound like a bad one, Jack, No matter.

Speaker 8 (29:00):
Sixty five games isn't just like MVP and Defensive Player
of the Year. It's also all NBA and like someone like.

Speaker 7 (29:05):
J Douves get million dollars because he got hurt.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Yeah, they said, right, yeah, yeah, what I'm saying, it's interesting.
He's playing with money, he's playing with contracts, is playing
with a lot of different things. I wanted up real
quick before we move on to football. Jayalen Brown. I
wanted to shout Jayson Brown. Now he's got his team
third in the West. I think he's at thirty points

(29:30):
thirty East third, excuse me, excuse third in the Eastern Conference.
And let's think about who they lost. Obviously, Tatum is down,
but they lost Porzingis, they lost Horford, they lost Drew Holliday.
So they lost what forced three starters, three starters in
the first guy off the bench. Everyone thought this was
going to be a down and out year for him,
like they thought for my forty nine ers. But lo
and behold Jayson Brown and his hairline all right, thirty

(29:53):
one six and five, And I like not to be funny,
the way he embraced that ship. I think that was
the only way to kind of really go is he
and did? He talked about it on his streams and
now people is more of a laughing then you can't
even talk shit to him about it because he's laughing
about it.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
I think he stopped spraying though, no more spray, just
go natural, did he?

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I think the spray yeah, I think after we saw Booze,
I didn't know motherfuckers was still using spray because that ship,
that ship came close.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
That shit crazy bro.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
But uh, the other night, uh, Boston came into the
Clippers and Kawhi was on a burner and Jalen Berner
Jayden Brown held Kawhi with six to seven six of
seventeen from the field, twenty two points. He wanted the assignment,
and then he came out after the game and said
he feels like he's the best two way player in
the game. So that was my question to you guys

(30:43):
best two way players.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
In the game.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
With Jayalen Brown's numbers at thirty one, six and five
third in the East, he comes in and shuts down
the hottest player in the NBA at the time. Is
there a better two way player in the game right
now than Jayson Brown.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
It's hard to say.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
I was Jed Brown twenty six eight. He's twenty nine,
right in the prime his career.

Speaker 6 (31:05):
The only person I can put in that category of
him right now that really loves the game on both
ends Anthony lws That's the only he does the same thing.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
I think Jayden Brown is a better defender than Anthony
Edwards to be honest with Yeah, yeah, I think j
dub as well. J dubb is is is a two
way guy. But yeah, to your point, Anthony Edwards definitely
competes on the defensive end.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Max.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
You see anybody you see a better two way player
in the game right now than and than Jayden Brown.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Jalen Brown, he's hot right now. I don't know what
that motherfucker's playing right now. He's hot. Jalen browns my
guy too. I gotta get it too. He's locking up
mother buckers and give him bucket gotta give it.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Oh, and and he had who's Victoria Montag's his boo
sitting course side?

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Man?

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Oh, he dropped fifty win in front.

Speaker 7 (31:48):
He was on the live streams on Salt the Lessons
with her earlier in the day.

Speaker 6 (31:51):
Man, the best player on both fans is getting ready.
He just stay hurt. He's still learning right now. But
this motherfucker be the bests for the next ten years.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Wimby.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yes, yeah, I ain't mad at that, but the next
I ain't mad at that. I ain't even mad at that.
He shows flashes that are scary.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Moving on the first rounds are set? Jack, Who do
the Cowboys play next week?

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Why y'all laughing? I got an answer?

Speaker 1 (32:21):
What you do?

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Play? Can't cool coconuts?

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Cool cocon nuts?

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Yeah, we play can't. It's gonna be a whole bunch
of teams down there.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
They said you can play quarterback that game.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
We did.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
That's all.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
That's it, that's it, that's it.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yeah. I would give your props.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Not only are y'all playing good, but the motherfucker uniforms
y'all had on the last game my loss, it.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Was fresh as ship. The part you gotta give us prouts.
We don't like them, but they was clean.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
It's okay, So again it was supposed to be. I mean,
our defense is a shell of itself. I only shot
we have is if we outscore people. But we're scoring
a lot of points right now to party's playing well.
McCaffrey has been incredible. H get kittled back. We got
to you know, we make it Jack, We're gonna have
to outscore people. Yeah, we gotta.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
Eagles problem with us next week.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
I'm betting against the I'm betting against the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
I'm betting. I'm not the Eagles. Respect respect man, Max, Max.
I'm taking bets.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Well, all right, we got to talk, Okay, let's.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Talk then, God damn it.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
This is the first year of the AFC Championship Game
will be without the Chiefs in the last seven years.
Bills are the sixth seed at twelve and five at
the Jacksonville Jags Wars, who are thirteen and four. The
Bills are on the road pretty much the whole run, right, Yeah,
this could be a year. I mean, you don't have

(33:55):
to be at the top of the conference. We know
that to really make a run. Is Jacksonville ready to
make a run yet.

Speaker 6 (34:01):
I like Jacksonville and I'm pulling for him. But Josh
Allen in good weather, nah, Hell, I just thought about that.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Hell now that might be all right right.

Speaker 6 (34:11):
Because let me say, Josh Allen, he don't get a
chance to really play in good weather all year. Dog,
you know what I'm saying. To the start the playoffs
or some good Florida weather, he might put up fifty points.
I'm going with Buffalo, even though I want them to win,
But Buffalo's just now.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Trevor Lawrence thirteen touchdowns and one pick over his last
five games, getting hot at the right times to powerful offense.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Max who you got?

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Yeah, you know he's Steven Florida all.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I'm going with Travis was out there.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
I'm gone with McK moon.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Where's he at?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
He heard been hurt? Yeah, season in the said surgery?
What was it? Was it his knee? Travis? Was his
need though? Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Next step number seven seed Charger eleven and six at
to meet the surprise of the AFC this year with
the Patriots the number two seed at fourteen and three.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
But the Patriots only have one win over teams that
are over five hundred this year. They got the Bills
in Week five. Jack, who you got you believe in
this Patriots team at the one seed or well?

Speaker 2 (35:21):
For me, I think this is gonna be the best
QB matchup in the playoffs. Drake Mays, Barling, Herbert Herbert, Herbert,
he bar I like him.

Speaker 6 (35:31):
I just think as far as young quarterback, I think
it's gonna be a sighting game. But I think I
think the Charge is gonna pull it off because they
got more experience. Even though Drake may having a great year,
I just think the Charge is gonna pull it off.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
Matt, their motherfuckers they tried to lose yesterday.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
They sat down a bunch of mother in front of
Chargers to get to this motherfucking game.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
They wanted this game, so it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
You gotta be careful what you asked for.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Matt beat New England.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I don't know up with what you ask for? Max,
They better be careful what they ask for.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
That's what I'm trying to tell you now, That's what
I'm trying to tell you, boy that playing some great ball.

Speaker 6 (36:09):
They got one of them. James is that coach over there?
And uh the Chargers boys, when them bloodline boys.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Yeah, well yeah, we know that.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
One hen one on both levels already.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
Yeah yeah, yeah, but I still got I'm gonna go
with the home team with that one. I just I
trust him, believe in Drake.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
I'm not mad at that.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
The five seed, the Houston Texans at twelve and five
will take on Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers ten
and seven. Texans, uh, Jack just says, hand down, have
the best defense in the league giving up the least
amount of points versus Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
On them boys, on them boys, y'all got y'all got this,
this tough Texans defense. You're gonna go? Is this Aaron
le Rodgers one last run?

Speaker 6 (36:59):
I'm going to the Texans. Many still they struggle to score.
This defense, they really gonna struggle. Is DK still out?
But that ain't gonna matter. The Texans def was just
flying around right now. Man, I just I don't I
don't see that there's still has been able to score enough.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
For the game gonna be the game. The final score
gonna be like sixteen to seven or some ship like that.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
So you agree, you got Texans over the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Backs.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
Moving on to the NFC, I'm taking all bets the
number six San Francisco forty nine ers at twelve and
five will be at the number three Philadelphia Eagles eleven
and six. Eagles haven't looked nearly as dominant this year.
Do you trust Party or Hurt going more into this matchup?
And I'm gonna go first. I'm trusting Purty. I think

(37:48):
Perty's playing great ball. I don't know about this.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
I don't know about his dougie, but outside of that.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
He's been playing great ball, throwing the ball, putting him
in places that only his guys can catch. Again, I
feel like we have any chance to make a run
and at all in the playoffs, we have to score
above thirty points. So who you guys got in the Phillies?
Excuse me on phel the Eagles first day.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Of Matt, Hey, Matt, what time is it out there
right now?

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Six?

Speaker 5 (38:13):
I know your assay drinking already, you just saying motherfucking
that Eagles and Philly Mom.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Do you know what y'all going to do to this
hostile ass environment? Do you know what's getting ready to have?

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Man? And you like that man?

Speaker 4 (38:28):
You like Purdy over Hurts?

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I do? It was a pure passage making shit happen.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Absolutely, I'm a man, and no team I hate more
than the Eagles. I'm going with the forty nine to two.
I mean, if I.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Call yeah everything, I hate him too, y'all can y'all
y'all can jump.

Speaker 6 (38:50):
On the bandwagon with Willy said he don't even play
the Cowboys and they got something to say about us,
So fucking yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Yeah, that's what I say about him too.

Speaker 5 (38:56):
But I still when you bet, when I'm betting my money,
I got a bet when we were gonna win the
motherfucking game, and I know Philly's gonna beat them.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Okay, we're gonna We're gonna talk about Max. We're gonna Max.
We're gonna best some money and a physical challenge.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Absolutely today, let's Christian, baby, Let's do all that.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Number five seed the Rams twelve and five at the
Carolina Panthers the four seed eight and nine.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
That's because they won their division.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Carolina would be the only the fifteam in NFL history
to host the home playoff game despite having a losing
record in the regular season. Crazy Stafford will likely win
the m v P this year. He's been killing hypothetical.
If Stafford wins a super Bowl, a second super Bowl?
Where do we talk about Stafford in the hierarchy of quarterbacks?

Speaker 6 (39:50):
He was, he had a great career. He was a
great quarterback. Let's let's let's not start that shit. Okay,
let's do it. We're gonna be putting them in Joe
Montown and like, come on now, bro, like while we
do this ship okay, and them and Tom breaking down
there in the whole different practice, great career, the MVP
right now, we ain't gonna be doing that.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Top twelve.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
He's got a hell of a career. He's over there
with Drew Brees.

Speaker 7 (40:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's in Drew Brees category.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, Rogers in that category.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Hall of famer, he's a Hall of famer. Rogers, Yeah, yow,
Rogers is better than.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
One super Bowl to MVPs. How many are you got
three MVPs? How many mvpses Rogers have?

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Rogers is a.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Four time, four time m v P. That's a lot
of m v P three zero MVP so tier two
and three, Tier two and three.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
So Rogers, Yeah, Rogers is Tier two. Definitely got the
nod on that. I ain't mad at that, and I
ain't gonna win it.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
That Drake maga win it this year.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
So who y'all got Rams or Panthers?

Speaker 2 (40:59):
I'm going don't.

Speaker 6 (41:00):
I mean the Panthers, you know, their young team, and
I have even liked out of all the stuff they
was putting on him. You know what I'm saying, They
said he wasn't the NFL quarterback. I like how he
bounced back and was able to win games and to
get his team in the playoffs in Carolina. But I
just don't see them beating the Rams. They got too
many offensive weapons. Like I said, the MVP, I think
they're gonna be able to put off at least at

(41:20):
least the first round. Ain't saying they gonna win it,
but I think theyre gonna get out the first round.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
MaTx you agree.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
I know so many motherfuckers riding here and Charlotte where
I live in Charlotte. You know what I'm saying. I
know so many motherfuckers said Damn, I can't believe this
s motherfucker said, Charlotte. Don't win against these motherfuckers.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
I like the I like the Panthers. Man at home, man,
they gritted.

Speaker 5 (41:39):
At home, and defense is tough at home and I
mean it's I mean, they.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
Already beat him already here this year.

Speaker 5 (41:48):
So I mean, I mean, I like the Panthers man
at home, man, I'm telling you, man, they're tough at home.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Last, but not least, the number seven Green Bay package
at nine and seven at the Chicago Bears eleven and six.
This is a legendary, historical matchup for the first round.
Packer's on a four game slide going into the playoffs.
Bears are on a two game slide. Something's gotta give.
The winner will play the winner of Philly and San Francisco.

(42:19):
So two young up and coming quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Didn't Green Bay go in Chicago beat them this year?
I thought it was a home okay split.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Max Green Bay Chicago in Chicago, both the cold weather teams.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Weather won't be an issue.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Who you got.

Speaker 5 (42:39):
I'm gonna take the young boy Caleb. I like kayleb
man at home in Chicago. I think he's comfortable there
and defense play as well there.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
I mean, I gotta go with Jack. I know you
don't like niggas to paint their nails, but I'm.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
Going with.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (42:56):
That's just shout out Jehan Love keep it real up, brother, Ay.
I know y'all lost Michael, but y'all just signed Diggs
even though he left us and dies w still my boy.
But yeah, I like Green Break for Show we Shall
See and burnt everywhere he went, But I still fuck.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
With moving on some hip hop. Drake has been teasing
his new album, Iceman with an hour long mini movie
on YouTube. Fans are saying it's been over eight hundred
and twenty days since Drake dropped the studio album. Last
drop was for All My Dogs in twenty twenty three.
Drake was just named Top Streamer of twenty twenty five

(43:39):
for Apple Music. After the dust has settled, fellas and
this has been a debate. Did the beef with Kendrick
Did it really impact Drake at the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Uh nah for me, Bro, You know, we not We secured.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
Man.

Speaker 6 (43:53):
Were not people that jumped in a lot of people
that said drake career was over and just took Kendrick's side.
Don't know neither one of them niggas right, They just
on the outside looking head. I don't think neither one
of them fell off at all. You know, it was
a good battle. I was publicly acknowledged that Kendrick got
the best of Drake in that battle, but as far
as artists, they're still the two of the biggest artists

(44:14):
in the world.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
They still can tour all year around. Drake don't have
to do another album.

Speaker 6 (44:18):
And can tour for the rest of his life off
the music he's already made, you know what I'm saying.
That's how talented he is. So it didn't hurt either
one of them. I'm looking forward to a new album.
I'm looking forward to new Musicrom Kendrick too. So y'all
get out y'all feelings, because all that energy y'all putting
into this ship, they ain't paying either one of y'all.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
Eighteen billion streams this year for Drake, eleven billion for Kendrick.
Drake has been the number one stream hip hop hardist
for the last for the last eleven years, Right, Max,
you're a little older on the outside, you know.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
I don't know nothing about that shit really that much. Now.

Speaker 5 (44:51):
I'm a bigure back off of what Jack said, because
Jack know what the fuck he talked him back, So
everything that motherfucker said over their decisions, I'm going with that.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
I don't know who I just learned who the fuck
Kendrick was a couple of I don't know.

Speaker 5 (45:09):
Many that's I don't know, So I'm going with what
Jack said cause I don't know.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
I know it looked like more of a you look
like more of a two stepper.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Anyway, we fuck with everybody, masters, we fuck with everybody.
We don't get another niggas shit.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
I think what I will say, still kind of being
close to what's going on with my kids and coaching
and everything, and and then kind of being close to
some people in the streets, what I'll say is I
think the beef hurt Drake in the streets from a
standpoint of no one after how the beef went down

(45:50):
in all the lawsuits, whether you know the ins and
outs of Thettle lawsuits, it was just a lot of
people saying the moves he made weren't necessarily the image
he's trying to portray, not knowing the full thought process
and what those lawsuits can do. But I think at
the same time, Drake is someone that doesn't necessarily need
the streets because you can hear Drake in a target,
you can hear Drake in a dentist office. Drake makes

(46:11):
great music. And to me, the only thing that we
have a say in basketball where you never want the
bullshit off the court to be louder than the bullshit
or excuse me what you're doing on the court. I
think what's happened to just put more pressure on Drake
with this next album that it to me, it's got
to be a hit. Ice Man has got to be
a hit, you know what I mean, Because again I

(46:33):
don't think he hasn't missed, but a lot of people
it hasn't been what he used to be giving us.
He used to be the whole album, used to slide,
It used to be everyone's music all the time. That
we got a lot of love for Drake over here,
because I mean, he's just such a great artist. So
I think it just puts more a little bit more
pressure on him to come with this shit.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Absolutely think it puts a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
And to me, when you come with your ship everybody
just like when great basketball players have some shit, they
come out here and whop you forget about all the
other bullshit, And I think this would be similar for
Drake if Iceman it does what we think Iceman will do.
So I'm very interested in and to your point, Jack,
seeing what Iceman does and then what what Kendrick has
up his sleeve. You know, Kendricks got some ship up
his sleeve. But I think overall, man, it was fun.

(47:14):
It captivated the world for a whole year. And you know,
Kendrick had the biggest grossing tour of all time. I
think if I'm not mistaking him and Scissor, which was crazy.
So I think it was good for the sport. And again,
you know, great music trumps everything.

Speaker 6 (47:30):
So we got and we got to stop expecting to
get street responses from people that ain't from the street.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
We got to stop that.

Speaker 6 (47:39):
You know what I'm saying, Like it's Google, you can
google anything everybody, Like we know what kids would come from.
You know what I'm saying in the middle of it,
You can't. There's no question the type of shit he
was around. Drake didn't come up the same way. So
you got to stop accept expecting those same rules from
these same people when they never grew up under that.

Speaker 4 (47:57):
You know.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
But I think with Jack, what I'll say is, then
you know I supposed to be acting like that.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Then no, no. But if that's the case, we're talking
about ninety nine point nine set a rap. You know
what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (48:11):
But but but like, listen to your you can name
me ten rappers right now that you can come up
the top of your head and I guarantee you. I
can go pick two songs where they talking about doing
some shit that I guarantee you they didn't do.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
You know what I'm saying. So that's that, that's just rap.

Speaker 6 (48:23):
So you can't single Drake out, you know what I'm saying,
just because he's the biggest star, because you like somebody
else and you hate him.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Everybody in rap me lying, all of them lying. I'm
just telling the truth.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
I spunk the block. I did this. No, you didn't, Bro,
you wouldn't be free. You wouldn't be free right now
if you spunk the block and then told on yourself.
I'm smoking you right now. You smoke. You're smoking dead, dude.

Speaker 6 (48:48):
Just like it's just crazy, bro, Like we I really
can't get into the music. And I love Kendrick and
Drake style of music because it has some substance.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
You know what I'm saying. It's so much music got
no substance to it.

Speaker 3 (48:58):
Yeah, saying something No, it's a good point. We shall see,
we shall see what it does.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Man.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Happy twenty twenty six, y'all is good to start the show.
