A little down this morning. World Cup's over. That's sad.
It's a month of that in the United States. That
was a blast to have that to look forward to
every day. I am really sad it's gone.

Love Island. Whatever shall we do with our evenings?

Well, apparently not get more sleep. It doesn't feel that way,
but it is. It's congrats on congrats to Spain who
won that thing role, but just congrats to the United States.
We got a showcase in a way that the country
doesn't often get one on a world stage. People came
here and enjoyed American culture. That was fun to see.

Yes, from ranch dressing to cowboy hats to free refills.
It was fun to see America Yeah, on display and
regarded and enjoyed.

And a good thing. They're getting out of here before
this cyclospora thing gets even worse. Just in the nicked time.
We will get into that as well. But a lot
of stuff to do on this Monday morning as we
get started, A bunch of stops to make. Gonna make
us one stop in New York City, a stop in Tucson.
We'll make a stop at the gas pump this morning,
in Minneapolis, the UK Ocean Springs, Mississippi, the testing labs

or the FDA. And we'll make a stop at this
New York, New Jersey stadium that we used to call
met Life Stadium, but they call it the New York
New Jersey for the sake of the World Cup. But
we do need to start ropes again. I mean, I
don't know how many nights you have to have of
airstrikes to say we're at all out war again. But
here we go again.

It appears we are at all out war.

The United States completed a ninth straight night of strikes
against Iran last night. Central Command says the objective was
to further diminish Iran's ability to attack commercial vessels transisting
in the straight or transitting excuse me, in the strait
of horror moves.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Some of the weekend strikes were launched in retaliation for
the deaths of two US service members who died in
an attack in Jordan. The Pentagon announced yesterday another US
service member died in northern Iraq. This wasn't in fighting,
but it was actually helping to dispose of an Iranian
drone when something went wrong and die. This now brings
the number to seventeen, the number of US service members

who have died during this conflict with Iran.

All right, Next up on the run, Gas prices are
heading in the wrong direction once again, and the national
average is now four dollars a gallon. This is the
first time gas has been above four bucks in more
than a month, and, by the way, not surprising, oil
prices are also up more than fifteen percent in just
the past two weeks.

To continue on the run here now, next leg takes us.
Like Robe said to the labs of the FDA, I said,
like Robes said, like they knew you wrote that line.
I said that she wrote it. But the point here
is we have some very disturbing and a little confusing
updates about cyclospora. So here's the deal. We're now being
told that a sample of lettuce from Taylor Farms that

originally tested positive for cyclospora was actually a false positive.

You've got to be kidding me, says everyone and Taylor Farms. Yes,
the FDA put it this way due to the complexity
and detection of cyclospora. FDA laboratory experts re reviewed the
sample results and have concluded that the finding does not
represent true amplification and should be considered a false positive.

No, the next line is the good one. Next line

As of July nineteenth, twenty twenty six, there are no
confirmed positive sample results for product testing for cyclospora.

Okay? So, the CDC last week announced that the outbreak
was traced to lettuce applied to Taco Bell from Taylor
Farms Mexico plant. But they only linked it to Taco
Bell stores in five states. But people have been sicken
and at least thirty four states. So then Taylor Farms
recalled let us in twenty seven states. And now we're
being told that they haven't actually found cyclospar at that
plant in Mexico. So robes, what is we got to

I guess Keep in mind here, there's a difference in
a positive test and tracing. What they're doing is just interviews,
and they've traced it back after they talked to all
these poll oh you ate a taco bell? Ll you
ate a taco bell. So they've only been in conversations
and they traced it back and thought they had figured
it out for robes. The point being they have not

positively identified this thing through a lab test. They don't
know where it is.

Next up on the run, a third person has died
of Legionaire's disease amid a cluster of cases in Manhattan's
Upper East Side. So far, there have been at least
seventy four cases, including eight people who are in the
hospital right now. And this is all tied to cooling
towers in dozens of buildings.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah, Legionaire's disease. Bacteria that's found in water can cause
severe pneumonia. It is not usually fatalble I believe the
CDC listed at ten percent robes a fatality race, so
that is pretty high. And we do have at least
three people dead now in New York, so something to
continue to keep an eye on. As we continue on
this morning run. We have back to back mass shootings
(05:42):
to tell you about, and the number of people shot
in each of them was the same number. Nine. We'll
start in Tucson, Downtown Tucson. Nine people were sent to
the hospital, some in critical condition. Round two am overnight Saturday,
near a pizza restaurant, police arrived, encountered a gunman, tried
to run away, got shot by police. He's also listed
in critical condition and Robes on this one. They don't
have a motive and they have not released the suspects name.

So bizarre.

And then yes, we turned to Minneapolis where again at
least nine people were injured in a shooting. It happened
at a night club overnight. At least two people suffered
life threatening injuries and police believe this all began with
an altercation. No idea how it spread the way it did,
and so far no arrests have been made in that shooting.

I continue on the run here now, a couple of
names you've been seeing in a lot of headlines and
don't fully understand these guys, what they do and what
their story is. That Tate brothers, these controversial influencers. They've
been taken into custody in Miami, and British officials want
them back across the pond. Andrew and Tristan Tait facing
multiple rape and sex trafficking charges.

Yes, and British authorities want the brothers extra dieted. They're
denying the charges against him right now. And the reason
why this is well, it's ironic and a very big deal.
These two have been an aw have built an online empire.
It focuses on wealth and of all things uber masculinity.

Yes, but every they're highly rogues influential online. I didn't
know they actually teach courses. You can sign up and
buy classes to be taught how to manipulate women on
these things. These guys are just they're just out there.
They have millions and millions of followers. They've been banned
on several social media sites for hate speech and whatnot,
but they have this huge.

Following and now they are being charged with rape and
sex trafficking. My goodness, all right, Next up on the
run funeral services will be held this morning in Mississippi
for Nolan Wells. The eighteen year old's death has been
under suspicion. Certainly there have been suspicious circumstances surrounding his
death and has drawn worldwide attention.

Yeah. Visitation expected this morning from nine to eleven, immediately
followed by the funeral, which is going to be open
to the public and yes, open to the press. Al
Sharpton is going to be doing the eulogy there today.
We are still awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner
as well as the independent autopsy that the family has
gotten in place.

Next up on the run, the United Kingdom is getting
a new prime minister today. Keirs Starmer is out and
Andy Burnham is in.

seventh prime minister they've had the past ten years.

party had scandals and made some bad moves of some
Epstein stuff related in there to the guy he kept

For the first time in twenty seven years, one of
the most coveted records in track and field has been broken.
John Kurr this weekend set a new one mile record.

run this in London at a meet, so congrats there.
But he ran it in three minutes forty two point
six six seconds. That's about a half second faster than
the record previously set by a Moroccan runner back in

how far the human body can go, but there was

no chance in hell anyone ever in life will run

a Saturday at noon, just being in a theater for

then I think just to have the finals be for

soccer matches, football matches I've ever seen, and I.

don't know. It's fine. I guess it's a great honor.

You're supposed to just avoid certain foods and if you
do have them, or you do want to eat them,
you just have to wash them thoroughly and cross your fingers.

Next up on the run, a third person has died
of Legionaire's disease amid a cluster of cases in Manhattan's
Upper East Side. So far, there have been at least
seventy four cases, including eight people who are in the
hospital right now. And this is all tied to cooling
towers in dozens of buildings.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah, Legionaire's disease. Bacteria that's found in water can cause
severe pneumonia. It is not usually fatalble I believe the
CDC listed at ten percent robes a fatality race, so
that is pretty high. And we do have at least
three people dead now in New York, so something to
continue to keep an eye on. As we continue on
this morning run. We have back to back mass shootings
(05:42):
to tell you about, and the number of people shot
in each of them was the same number. Nine. We'll
start in Tucson, Downtown Tucson. Nine people were sent to
the hospital, some in critical condition. Round two am overnight Saturday,
near a pizza restaurant, police arrived, encountered a gunman, tried
to run away, got shot by police. He's also listed
in critical condition and Robes on this one. They don't
have a motive and they have not released the suspects name.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
So bizarre.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
And then yes, we turned to Minneapolis where again at
least nine people were injured in a shooting. It happened
at a night club overnight. At least two people suffered
life threatening injuries and police believe this all began with
an altercation. No idea how it spread the way it did,
and so far no arrests have been made in that shooting.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
I continue on the run here now, a couple of
names you've been seeing in a lot of headlines and
don't fully understand these guys, what they do and what
their story is. That Tate brothers, these controversial influencers. They've
been taken into custody in Miami, and British officials want
them back across the pond. Andrew and Tristan Tait facing
multiple rape and sex trafficking charges.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yes, and British authorities want the brothers extra dieted. They're
denying the charges against him right now. And the reason
why this is well, it's ironic and a very big deal.
These two have been an aw have built an online empire.
It focuses on wealth and of all things uber masculinity.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yes, but every they're highly rogues influential online. I didn't
know they actually teach courses. You can sign up and
buy classes to be taught how to manipulate women on
these things. These guys are just they're just out there.
They have millions and millions of followers. They've been banned
on several social media sites for hate speech and whatnot,
but they have this huge.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Following and now they are being charged with rape and
sex trafficking. My goodness, all right, Next up on the
run funeral services will be held this morning in Mississippi
for Nolan Wells. The eighteen year old's death has been
under suspicion. Certainly there have been suspicious circumstances surrounding his
death and has drawn worldwide attention.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah. Visitation expected this morning from nine to eleven, immediately
followed by the funeral, which is going to be open
to the public and yes, open to the press. Al
Sharpton is going to be doing the eulogy there today.
We are still awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner
as well as the independent autopsy that the family has
gotten in place.

Next up on the run, the United Kingdom is getting
a new prime minister today. Keirs Starmer is out and
Andy Burnham is in.

This all happens today.

Yeah, he's the former mayor of Manchester, will become the
seventh prime minister they've had the past ten years.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Yeah. Starmer announced last month that he was going to
step down after losing confidence from the public and his
party had scandals and made some bad moves of some
Epstein stuff related in there to the guy he kept
hiring who had connections to Epstein. So he's out to
see what happens with the new guy.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
All right. Next up on the run.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
For the first time in twenty seven years, one of
the most coveted records in track and field has been broken.
John Kurr this weekend set a new one mile record.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
This is astonishing.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Ye he's a brit as well, and he happened to
run this in London at a meet, so congrats there.
But he ran it in three minutes forty two point
six six seconds. That's about a half second faster than
the record previously set by a Moroccan runner back in
nineteen ninety nine. To see that robes. I don't know
how far the human body can go, but there was

at a point that four minutes was impossible. Yeah, there's
no chance in hell anyone ever in life will run
a four minute mile. And I'll look at where we are.

but we haven't talked about yet Trump being there, the
Booze Tom Cruise and that halftime shows there. All right,

first time everybody's pointing out said in one hundred and
fifty years that we've had a vice president that's so
baby in the White House. The other I did not
know the name Schuler Kofax like Skyler.

on the run here now. The box office only really
one thing to talk about this weekend. We knew it
was going to be big. I guess the question was
Brobe just how big the Odyssey was going to be?

This is incredible and we wanted to see it, But
now I really want to see it. It made one
hundred and twenty four million bucks at the domestic box
office and added another one hundred and forty million overseas,
bringing it to a two hundred and sixty four million
box office weekend total.

That's remarkable.

I know. I struggle with three hour movies in the
in the theater. I still haven't seen the Second Avatar.
I don't think you have either. I haven't either. That's
why I was hesitating. Yet it's difficult. I know this
is wonderful film making, and have to see it in
the theater. If you're going to see it, we're gonna have.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
To see it in the morning. Let's find because that's
the only way we're staying awake.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Not just three hours. Man, you could take me on
a Saturday at noon, just being in a theater for
three hours and twenty minutes or whatever.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
It's just it's a lot. I agree, all.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Right, he's gonna dig you on the run here now, Spain,
congrats Argentina too bad. Uh, Messi kind of sucked. I
would have liked to have seen Messi go out on top.
But what a run he had and what an emotional
moment at the end. But Argentina could not repeat as
champions and Spain ro we thought we were going to
get penalties in this sucker. It took until the one
hundred and something minute for them to actually score. Was saying,
(12:39):
finally went ahead one Neil and Rogues. That was the
end to what was a hell of a World Cup.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, I preferred the third place. That was my favorite
favorite game. France versus England. What an incredible game. And
then I think just to have the finals be for
me like so much less interesting.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
That game on Saturday made the whole weekend.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
That was one of the most incredible World Cup or
soccer matches, football matches I've ever seen, and I.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Really hope folks, that's not how it usually goes.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
It was remarkable.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Six to four is like a football game in the seventies.
I mean, it's just that's the scoring that you just
don't see that. So I hope nobody was watching and
getting into soccer for the first time and going wow,
is it always like that? No, it's I think.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I think the announcer said that very thing. If this
is your first World Cup game, please be warned. This
is not typical.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
It never happens. That was fantastic, But it was a
wrap up to a fantastic tournament, a fantastic tournament, and
history was made in all kinds of ways. Sure, But
also the fact that they had a halftime. I was
very curious about it. I'm surprised that there's as much
of a debate about the halftime show and what people
thought about it. They thought it was great, stars but
kind of pointless.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Oh enjoyed it?

What's the point?

You enjoyed it, sure, Sure, but I'm surprised how much
debate is going on online. People not really feeling it.

You know what, People like their traditions and this is
something new and that always causes the stir for folks
when you do something different. I thought they did it well.
I thought it was fun, it was positive, it was joyful.

And it should have been American because.

It's here, right, I think maybe seeing some comments from
other places and yeah, you got the Muppets in there
with Madonna, that's.

Fine, but we also had Bts, we had Shakira, so
there were also nods to others.

But I thought James Biber and then Justin Bieber and
then Tom Cruise, eh.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
And those days people still don't know what that was.
But look, we all love Tom Cruise, he's an icon.
But giving him a speech to deliver there to try
to work us out, it was very Hollywood and.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Hollywood yes, and yeah, see, I see. I thought it
was just a nod to being American. And Jennifer Hudson,
we didn't mention how incredible her opening was.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
She set the tone.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
It's bizarre for someone to possess that kind of time.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
She's a remarkable Whitney Houstons.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I don't understand it. I am just in awe that
she has that ability. She was unreal. What she was
wearing was unreal. Jennifer has Hudson is a treasure obviously.
What about the guys doing let's get ready to rumble?
That was very American at the beginning.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, I didn't love that, but again I don't mind.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
I guess if you just wanted to say one final hey,
let's be American right now in front of the world.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
We pulled it off for sure.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Now Trump was there, and as expected, Trump was booed
Malania sitting next to him.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Another nice jacket.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
You always point out, she just nailed her outfit. Her
fit is on brand every time. But it was a
little weird watching him hand out those medals because it
felt like, and maybe I was just reading into it,
that some of the players were less than enthused to
receive it from him.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
You know what, They kept it pushing, they just kept
it moving. They didn't very few, if any, stopped to
have a nice moment or interact. Some of them even
almost blew. I asked him clearly, But that was odd,
and it looked like the FIFA president was kind of
guiding him around. It looked like he wasn't really into it,
like he was being dragged around or forced it. I
don't know. It's fine. I guess it's a great honor.
(16:12):
You win World Cup, you get to be up there
with presidents and whatnot. He's standing next to the president
of Mexico, standing next to the Prime Minister of Canada.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
That was funny. Two people he has insulted multiple times.
But that was fun to see them all together. I
did like that though the hosts of the games, I
didn't mind it at all.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I don't know that was but I just wish they
could have been hugging. I wish with that could have
been a vetter. That was a nice moment for the world.
And you're looking because, oh good. I wouldn't know what
they're saying, because they've frankly been talking ish about each
other for the past several months.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Very true.

The other thing we'll mention the curse, the Trump curse
that shows up at sporting events. People are pointing it
out once again. Rose because he had said some very
favorable things about Lionel Messi. He was asked about the game.
He's I don't really want to pick any say who
won't want to pick? But you know that Messy he's special,
that one. I. It's hard to go against him. I
never bet against is my Trump act. Yeah that was terrible.

Where is that coming from?
Speaker 1 (17:02):
It's like a black preacher from the South. Yeah, that
turned into a new man.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
I turned into that. It doesn't my default. But yeah,
the Trump curse. Once again. He speaks up in favor
of something, and here we go. MESSI has a terrible game.
Argentina doesn't look good at all.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Oh, the Trump curse strikes again again. He'll keep showing up,
so I'm sure we'll keep talking about it. But on
