Speaker 1 (00:01):
And that's what you really missed with Jenna and Kevin
and I heart radio podcast. Welcome, Welcome back, We're back.
We're backtally exclusively too, and that's what you really miss podcast. Hello,
that's Jenna. I'm Jenna, and I'm Kevin. That's Kevin. Today
(00:27):
we're gonna be talking about hiography, haterography and this is
all Ryan Murphy. What all right? An interesting episode? That's
you know, Ryan loves terography though, like actually loves hiography.
Every time Ryan would direct an episode and be like,
flip your hair more yes, the act of actual literally
(00:51):
doing hiography. He's a big fan of so Jenna. The
number one song on November Empire state of Mind, jay
Z and Relisha Keys and the last episode it was
what You Say by Jason Derulo. This song Empire state
of Mind. We were obsessed with obsessed, on set, obsessed everybody.
(01:16):
I mean, it ended up and I'm so glad we
did it ended up on tour and on tours are Encore.
That's my favorite Encore song. Um okay, so wait you
didn't like originally aired you want to Fight? I love
Safety Dance? Would you like True Colors? I love True Colors? Okay,
(01:36):
we when did this original air? Originally aired November, so
Empire State of Mind was the number one song. The
number one movie was the Twilight saga New Moon. Hm,
oh my gosh. Do you remember when we went to
this premiere? I feel like that was the biggest premiere
(01:57):
I had been to at that point. Yes, and fun fact, yes,
where this premiere was was at the same theater where
we had the Glee three D movie premiere, and so
that's right. A couple years later, that gigantic, crazy, frenzied
red carpet was for us. It was very Yeah, that
(02:19):
was wild too, that's right. The craziest thing was that
red carpet for Twilight. Those fans are so dedicated and
so obsessed, obsessed. I've never liked any climb that much.
(02:39):
They truly they. I remember they were saying that they
slept there for like a week to line up to
get to the front of that carpet, and it was
one of the biggest carpets we had ever done. But
they were like, get there early because as soon as
the stars started to arrive, it's going to get wild,
so get there early. So I remember getting there early.
(02:59):
We got there like five o'clock in the movie screening
wasn't until like eight, and we waited. We were just
like standing around watching things. Did anyone know who we
were on the carpet? No? Not really. But then also
more importantly, do you remember that there were two different
screenings of the movie, two different rooms. We weren't even
(03:20):
with the cast. We were actually in a separate screening room.
That's absolutely correct. You're like, oh, cool, cool. Half of
the people going that way and we're going this way.
I remember too, this is one of the first times
I had got gotten like free clothes or something like
man like sent me some suits and it didn't properly fit,
(03:42):
and it was like this red, shiny suit and I
thought it was so cool. And wait a second, no,
don't google it. Um. So the second, the number two
movie of this UM this week was The Blindside with
Sandra Bullock, which I still love that movie. Oscar winning
Mormons excellent, excellent, excellent paragraphy. This episode, there's a lot
(04:07):
of music UM that sort of runs the gamut of genre.
We get a call back to Grace the Grease number,
and we have a new director, rum Bill Jeliah, who
was a man of many, many shows, directed many many
shows before us. UM. He also showed up in the suits.
(04:31):
We talked about Eric Stolt's showing up in seats. Um.
Bill Delia showed up in a suit, always very professional,
and I was kind of scared of Bill. I was
definitely scared of Bill, and he was so sweet, but
it was like the sweetest big air. He was very tall,
he had like the big stature and serious shows and
(04:52):
a lot of grays anatomy. Okay, um this aired. This
episode aired the night before Thanksgiving, and I I feel
like I watched this with my family. I probably did too,
I don't remember. I think I did. Remember. We must have, right,
(05:14):
this is it was new, it was you know, fresh,
everybody we would have been flying in that day probably.
I mean my family always watched the show every single week,
so I feel like getting full. They could have done
a podcast. My parents still have their ringtones as some
(05:36):
of my songs from Glee. Still. Yes, we'll be out
in public, like over this past Christmas holiday break. It's embarrassing. Yes,
it's really. One of them has let it be and
the other one has p y T and they you know,
they are a little older, and so they have those
Ringers on full blast loud. That's right, it's I go
(06:01):
back to being sixteen and so embarrassed by my parents.
It's not great. Let me they're still hanging onto that,
my parents still hanging That was likely stuff too'm my gleat,
I go, um, we have a shoutout to what so
tell me serious thing. Dad ended up in a hospital
with COVID pneumonius now currently but yeah, he's doing all right.
(06:28):
But he brought up he asked the nurses if they
watched Glee. You know my parents do that everywhere too.
This is so long ago. My mom had uh paramedics
come to the house recently. She's okay, and um, they
saw the plaques that I've given them. I've gifted them
some of our Glee music plaques because there's just too many.
(06:49):
I honestly cant have them on all my walls either,
So I gave one to my parents and the the
guy from the fire house was like, yeah, you guys
just like pick fans of Glee. But see, at least
they were asked no, no, they asked yeah, that's fright.
But my mom's like, no, my daughter was on the show.
(07:10):
And they're like, oh my God, can I tell my
mom my daughter, this is very cute you I thought
it was a star. Um. Wait, that's really funny though
that your dad asked if he just volunteers, he's like
in the middle. He does he think he's going to
get special treatment. No, he just as my mom said,
(07:32):
he would talk to the wall. He just talks to
everyone and tries to find some common ground and likes
to talk to him, you know. Um back on track.
Shout out to East Middo Fire Department. By the way,
So our hair department was nominated for this episode for
the sixty second Emmy Awards. With all these wis Oh
(07:57):
that's right, Oh my gosh, so many wigs and like
bumping and things. Um okay, So one of our dear
dear friends is in this episode and who is a
Glee writer and still our dear friend, Michaeldgecock who that
scene is probably the highlight of this episode for me,
(08:17):
and he and Jane Lyncher were united after they've been
in a billion movies together, and that was great to say. Um.
And this is the part that I guess Ryan had
thought about Whitney Houston for that he mentioned before. Um, yeah,
good connect. Kevin, good, connect Jennifer aspen is back. It's great.
(08:41):
There's a lot happening, Okay, alright, so we gotta we
had a little a little Fox teaser here. Um the
Glee Club learns how to move in a whole new
way doing um. Will meets the sectionals competition, including Eve Hitchcock,
(09:01):
Um Quinn test test drives a baby, Daddy takes it
for a spin, and Rachel makes her a big play
for Finn, you know, all the cats away and some
other motives behind helping her get Finn. Hum. And then
there's this really fun fact from from the gleewick key
(09:22):
Kevin that the word distract, distracted, distraction is said twenty
times throughout this episode. Who did this? Who found this?
Who counted? And also, I'm worrying for you, surely. But
that's good, it is very good. That is weird? Why
(09:47):
who don't know? Who do we even ask about that?
What is what? I don't know? How does that happen?
I really don't know. That's strange. There's a quote from
The Entertainment Weekly about this episode, like their recap article,
this episode opened in a familiar place, suspicion, veil, population will,
(10:11):
but he's but they're not wrong. Yeah, they're not wrong,
because weird things are happening. Britney gets caught taking a
video rehearsal and it says Sylvester didn't tell me to
do this, and Mr she was sure that Sue is
linking this that list for sectionals. Um, she was asking
for the names and zip codes of the other schools,
(10:31):
the Jane Adams Academy and the Haverbrook School. For I
was thinking about the pre Google maps where you could
just punch in the name and I'll give you the
zip code and all the information. You know. Now, we're
still in the time, I ask Jeeves. Um. So then
Emma suggests that Will actually goes to Jane Adams Academy
and asked the director point blank, what's up? M h.
(10:53):
And so so we see Eve when we need eat um,
and she's like, look, I'm trying to raise these kids
right or like teach these kids did do right. I'm
not going to like be cheating and like doing all
this crazy stuff. But um, Mr, she was like, let
me make this up to you. Sorry, I didn't mean
(11:15):
to insult you. Um, why don't I invite you to
calm and scrimmage at McKinley since um Eve Missigan says
revealed to Will that they can't even they don't even
have a place to rehearse. The rehearse out in the yard,
the reck yard, so talk about it was it was smart.
(11:42):
I sort of had to like close one eye. I
kind of just like moved past it because I was like, Okay,
but we have to acknowledge it and learn from our
mistakes because this is just we don't want it. Um,
that is true. We didn't write it. So they say yes,
and the Jane Dam's girls come, which a lot of
our friends are those dancers. And I also forgot that
(12:05):
Chelsea from So You Think You Can danced? Um, she's
in this and I remember being like, it's so um
star struck by those dancers because I watched you were up.
I was it was a couple, didn't we Yes? I
love that show. Yes we did, um and it was
(12:27):
on Fox. It was like easy to get into. This
is also been a lot of the dancers game this performance.
I was just it's so it makes you so happy
to watch because when you actually have professional dancers who
can do all the things that you know, the professional
choreographers each William Brook Clifton wanted them to do unlike us,
and you have a bunch of people jumping into splits
(12:49):
and like you're like, oh, that's what you would. And
also the same point, the Tim Davig Adam Anders making
this incredible arrangement of the song where they can use
a billion voices and you actually get to hear sort
of the people who would normally sing our demos sing
the leads of these. It it's like it's just a
dream come true. Because this number was so good. I
(13:12):
loved watching this. I mean, this number was great and
it's just so funny. I can imagine Rying being like
I need this to be all hair flipping, all hierography. Um.
Those girls were abasing Um. So Mr Sho was freaking
because Gane Adams is really good and he's like, oh crap,
we're we're not going to win and Rachel being this
(13:35):
like weird voice of reason to Mr. Shoot but also
which I thought was funny. I also was just like,
what level of delusion is she on that? She was
like it's all smoking mirrors? Like no, that was pretty
damn good. That was incredible. Yeah, it wasn't distraction but
I did do hiography. Look distraction, I said it. I
see why. It's the hierography. It's the distraction. That's why. Okay,
(13:59):
I'm getting it. I see. I think right. It wasn't
smoking mirrors. It was actually really good. But it's called
hair agraphy um. And this is the whizzing of the hair.
So Mr Shoe is still freaking outside and he's like, yeah,
ashure or whatever. But um, it gives him the idea
that we're going to now do a mashup of crazy
(14:20):
and love and hair um. The theme song from the musical,
which is it a theme song then brings our Beyonce
song title song, title song count up to three single Ladies,
Bootylicious and Crazy in Love who who Um? I remember
recording this. We wanted to record this Crazy and Love
(14:40):
together where I was there really because I remember you
doing the rap yes, and I remember hearing you chinchilla.
Wait which studio was this thing go on? On Highland?
I believe, But see, I think I went in twice
(15:01):
for this because I think I had to go in
and do that with like the intro um and then
on the other side of the recording studio they brought
in Mark and Corey to do this, and then they
had me go in to do it, and then they
ended up I think, and then they ended up just
(15:21):
and then I remember Corey's looking dejected in the rehearsal
room like it was just like a tryout. This was
the tryout from all three of Um, that's really funny.
(15:43):
So we do that. We're starting to do this mash up,
which is when they're like, we're doing hierography and you
all get in these wigs. And before that, Hitchcock comes
in and Will has this conversations insane conversation with Mr
Rumba for the Death School, and I mean, it's hilarious
(16:07):
the Scarlet Favorite, but it's also again like it's not right,
but yeah, yeah, it's His performance is very funny. The
subject matter not so not so koshure um, but Hitchcock
is just good at and you give you putting Hitchcock
in a room with a pencil, and he make it funny,
(16:29):
you know what I mean. So he was doing his job,
but so he's very upset. Mr Rumba is very upset.
He's like, how dare you not invite us to come
and do this? I think you should invite us to
come do this, and um, Will to his uh you know,
very easily says sure, come on over. So Will is
(16:50):
pulling out all the stops for this mash up that
he's now convinced that, like the hair is going to
do it. Um, and you is. I'll put these things on.
And yes, I was wearing dreads. It's funny, it's funny,
but your way is not funny anymore. No, it's no,
(17:13):
it's all wrong. It's wrong. We know what's wrong. We
know it's wrong, and we wouldn't have done it. We
wouldn't have done You have like a sound effect that
we can play. That's just being saying. It was a
different time. It was a different time. The big red button.
It's a different time. Um. So okay, so they we
(17:37):
do crazy and lemon hair in the choir room and
this number Um also injured me because so much hair
and you just wanted to make Ryan happy and whiplash
your head so you could get your hair moving. And um,
(17:58):
there's this one dance move that we had that Zach
would call heads and holes and holes, heads and holes.
And every time I watched this number, that's all I
think about, because um, we start up and then we
go all the way down down, and then we go
all the way up. So heads and holes was the number. UM,
(18:20):
I have fond members. The dance moves. There was one
coming up for the journey mashed up and it was
you get what you need and he was like, Doney needs,
Like I don't think that's the lyrics, Zack, but you
(18:41):
you don't need to not worry about that. Um. And
the very sweet um Prorbrook Deaf choir is Um, they're
signing like they look absolutely crazy. Um. These actors were
amazing and I loved working. I remember all of us
fighting over who we had crushes on. Yeah, we were
(19:05):
all very smart, and they were all very cute. Yes
they weren't very cute. And they did a very simple,
beautiful number of Lennon's and imagine, which I'm sure I
might tattoo imagine tattoos imagines ankle ankle. So when we
(19:28):
were in we always ended up in Chicago for some
reason for press things and I don't know why. Months
and months after this, and this had always been my
favorite song of all time. Um. Months after this, Jenna
and Leah and I we're all at dinner and then
Leah's like, we should go get tattoos, and you two
(19:52):
already had some time and so it didn't take much
arm twisting. And I was like, Okay, let's go do it,
and Chris came it does and um, I decided to
get mine, sort of like on My Achilles, and Chris
was with me as I was getting mine, and I
told the story a billion times, but I'll never forget
(20:13):
him just sitting there and being like, so, what do
you think your parents will think of this? As damn it, Chris,
stop it, but we all got imagine. I really I
wish I had done it in a different inc. Mine
is like bleeding now and it's very visible. Yeah, mine,
(20:33):
Mine doesn't look great, but we haven't. It's matching. It's fine.
Um And I don't think my parents care for the record. Chris,
I don't know. Actually, I also had to fight for
the to get on this song because I love the
song so much. I had to I wasn't originally singing
in it, and I texted this, I think this was
(20:57):
the first time I did this, because I'll do it
a couple more times throughout the series. Yeah, but the
songs have been a lot to me. I was like, please,
just even if it's a line, And so they split
it up and they think originally it was just Corey
and Leah maybe and then they added Amber Amber yeah,
or maybe it's just three of them. They added me.
(21:19):
I'm not sure, but I've elbowed my way in there. Hey,
I gotta do what you gotta do. Um, and miss
number is really beautiful. I remember shooting this and um,
it was a really moving day and watching them, yeah,
special and they were all so nice and so talented,
(21:40):
and UM, I think it just puts things in perspective
right for the show, in the storyline, but also just
in life. Right. It's like everybody's storytellers. Everybody can be
an artist. Um, you know we have all these like
we are the story of underdogs and in our own ways,
but um, just really puts you in part, puts things
(22:01):
in perspective, really makes grateful for um the little things
and not the little things, but the big things, you know.
So um, really we had a lot of time with them.
I felt like it was almost the entire day where
we actually got to like hang out with them and yes,
get to know them. We didn't always happen because things
(22:22):
were so crazy. We're always rehearsing and recording, and for
some reason we were just spending so much time with him. Well,
it's two musical numbers in one day that we are shooting,
which we didn't normally do, like back to back in
the same room. So I think because it was one
continuous number, we shot it like that kind of kind
(22:43):
of um. But yeah, no, yeah, totally. I remember hanging
out them as well. Um, okay, so we do imagine
what they do, imagine we all do imagine as a
collective number, and um shoot, then admits he's like, yeah,
hair gerography was totally bad. Idea, here's my new cell list, um,
(23:04):
and it's and and and it's the whole thing of
like the you know, Sue kind of Um. Linking the
cells is kind of often the back no longer in
the forefront of his mind. Um, I forgot this was
your colors, and I texted you last night. I was like,
I totally forgot. This is the episode I venus first
(23:29):
sort of comes out of nowhere, and then you're just
saying it right, and that's right, Oh thanks, You know
it was honestly, it's because it wasn't really like part
of my storyline. It's just like I happened to get
the lead vocal on the final number, right, um. But
it was yeah, it was really fun. I was the
(23:50):
I remember being nervous to record my first big number
because like I had gone in and done like, you know,
a line or two here or there or whatever tonight,
and you know, this is the first big one, especially
with adam Anders, who like was amazing. But I don't
know why I was scared. Um, you had said to
me you should. I said, I don't know, why would
(24:12):
I do with these ad lips, Like I've never had
an ad lib before like this, and you're like you should,
just as Scamber of course. And I was like that's
a great idea. And Amber at the time was still
living in Long Beach and so she would stay over
at my um my apartment sometimes, like when we had
a late night and they're like morning, so An slepped
(24:32):
over and it was the day I was going to
the recordings and I said, hey, can you listen to
this demo and just like give me some um, some
ad lips. She's like yeah, she's like and then she's
like You're like yeah, And I was like, I can't
do that. She's like, we're like yeah, yeah, and I
was like, okay, I could do that. UM. So I
had come in with like three things that I had,
(24:53):
like voice memode I think on my phone that I
was like, okay, don't forget these. And I remember I
walked in and at Manders was looking on the TV
because sometimes they had they had a TV going and
when they were doing the control panel, and it was
the day that Michael Jackson UM was being there was
like an emergency call to his house and obviously he
(25:14):
died later that day, but um, I was in the
recording studio during that whole uh, that whole time, so
he was like telling me what was going on while
I was in the booth, and he's like, let's do
this for Michael. So it was a very memorable day
for many reasons, um. And I was so nervous about
(25:34):
what this was going to sound like. And you're like
these Dad, you texted me earlier and you're like these
headlives are so right, and I was like, well that
was ambling, and I do not remember telling you to
go ask Amber. It's also the way seeing it because
you have such a powerful high voice that you always
(25:58):
said that you do your this is very high and
like when you get up there, yeah, it's so good,
so funny. Um. Thanks, And then I do remember when
we shot this, Tim Davis wasn't there that day, and
we didn't have anybody to teach us the backgrounds, and
nobody had heard the backgrounds before, so it was very
(26:23):
weird because I remember being like, oh my god, people
are stressed, and I was like, I just gotta get
this my performance in and like whatever. And I remember
I think brad Ellis was trying to teach everybody in
the backgrounds, but he didn't know that. He was just
kind of like off the cuff trying to teach people.
So I think there's like some shots of like people
because there's a lot of like looks in this number.
(26:45):
There's a lot of storyline going on Quinn and Buck
and Kurt looking at Finn and people aren't singing, and
I'm like, I think this is because like we didn't
know the background vocal. I just remember us like playing
behind those like scrims of like the lighting behind the shadows,
because they were like it was like the apple dancing
(27:07):
like Harry. Um okay, So moving on, and then it
turns out that she was right. We have the last
scene of this storyline is Sue sitting across from Eve
and Hitchcock giving him to set list and they're like,
we don't want it. No, who do you think we are?
But we'll see how that plays out later on exactly.
(27:29):
So then we have this whole baby daddy storyline, I
mean it's baby part eighteen, and gives Quinn a baby
book he stole How to Raise a Baby on five
dollars a day, and Quinn starts to wonder if she
made the right choice to give up the baby. Things
are happening a young team mind moves quickly, so then Quinn, Kendra,
(27:53):
and Terry are in the car and there's just this
insane episode of like, you don't because the phosphoric acid
causes male baldness, and Quinn's like, that's the baby's a girl.
The wind window ball too, and Kindra says, you worried
(28:13):
too much. Terry mom smoked and drank a bottle of
vodka on ice every night when she was pregnant with us,
and we're totally normal. Um. It's but so good, three
of them together as incredible. Um wants to see if
Puck will she's auditioning him to be the baby daddy
(28:34):
basically because she's like, do I want to keep it?
And if I do, do I want it to be
with Puck as the dad as the dad? And um,
so yeah, so she she skins. Um, She's like, okay,
so how do I distract Finn during this so I
can get to Puck and kind of see Puck for
a while. And so she gets an idea with her
(28:57):
and Kurt which you don't see quinning Kurt a lot together, um,
and to get Rachel a makeover so it can distract Fin,
which we will get to that scene later. Um. But
meanwhile we're we have We're back to Terry and Will,
and Will is trying to get into it with Terry,
(29:19):
and um, Terry is like, please don't touch me, Please
don't touch they are always't it um, and he's trying
to get into it with her, and she's like, oh
my gosh, I need a distraction again. Distraction yep. Um.
So she comes up with a plan. She's like, oh
my gosh, let me get him the Blue bomber too.
And um. She's starting to feel bad about this whole situation,
(29:43):
but she's like, I still got it distract him, so
let me get him the blue Bomber and to like
work on and you know, update and whatever. And then
Kendra sneaking Quinn and at the same time like a
little like tinkydinky um looney jeans moment, and Quinn decides
(30:04):
that she is going to keep the baby. And now
Terry's like okay. She starts unrough. Yeah, Terry is starting
to go and Kendra's like, okay, I got a plan.
Another plan. Kender's always got a plan. Um. She's like,
I'm gonna get Quinn to babysit my little three monsters
(30:25):
and she'll never want to have a baby ever again.
And so we get to Quinn and Puck. Quinn's like,
what are you doing on Friday? And books like no,
and then she's like, your baby sitting with me, and
so they baby said, uh, Kendra's triplets, the Gin, the
(30:46):
Gingi Lloyds, and um. Puck actually comes up with the
idea that he's going to play them a song, and
Quinna's Papa don't preach, yeah, which sounds great, which I
love this cover. She sounds great. It's just that she
has to sting to three small children. Yeah, it's definitely
a weird scene and isn't there God bless her for
(31:09):
doing that, because I would not want to be shooting.
She sold that they were great together. It's definitely weird,
Like Pucks when I can tell anything, she can Um
isn't like Puck hit one of the kids or something.
And I think there's an edit also where the kids
aren't even in it. It's some weird. The scene is
(31:31):
a bit strange. But when Kendra and Terry come home, um,
they find all the they find the triplets asleep in
bed and notice that they've been bathed, and Kendrew and
kid just like, what are you an exorcist? It's very good.
So she so, you know, Quentin Puck sort of nail
(31:52):
it and it's like can we do this together? But simultaneously, meanwhile,
that's right, that's right. We've got um Phil Kendraw's husband,
poor husband, Um saying that the Blue Bomber can't have
a car seat. It doesn't have the adjustable straps or whatever,
um or the attachments. And it's Scott Will thinking and
(32:13):
he's like, oh my god, Um. And now Quentin Pucker
thinking like, okay, we can do this right here comes
Santana Nia has like snakes Yeah it happened and it
oh good. Um. So during the babysitting, they're trying to
(32:37):
get out of their little like uh, you know, jump rope,
handcuffs and um. Quinn's like what are you doing? And
Pucks like, oh, I'm I'm texting with Mike Chang and
little do we know that, uh he's actually sexty with
Santana and Snakesy comes out and she's like, guess what
(32:58):
I was sexting? Check her, check his phone. All the
references like the nineties, this is great, great monologue she's
and she and I think this is when they were like,
oh we've got something here, like oh, we gave her
one scene and she just smashed it, nailed it. Yeah exactly.
(33:20):
So we get to Quinn and she confronts Puck and
she's like, Okay, I'm like I knew you're you lied
to me, and now like you know, you think you're gonna,
you know, raise this baby together when you can't even
you know, be honest with me and not sext all
these different girls. And I want to be the dad,
but I'm not going to change who I am. When
(33:42):
also it was like you've only given it to me once,
which I was like, okay, added to the list of
things for this episode the list, um. And so then
cut to Quinn being like, I changed my mind, you
can have a baby, and surprised Harry that he sells
the Blue Bomber, gets a minivan. Wish. That minivan is
(34:05):
like the minivan that you used to have in that
house set. Um, those like the play school house set.
I don't know if you had this, but it's like
the little toys. And there was the van. I was like,
I know that van exactly, um. And she's like you think, well,
(34:25):
it's going to make a good dad, and Terry's like, yeah,
I do. And then Quinn hugs Will on the way out,
which is very sweet. I thought that was a really
sweet moment, inappropriate but sweet, but didn't It didn't feel
creepy or inappropriate, like she knows exactly. So then we
came to this other business. Um. As you said earlier,
(34:46):
Quinn gets Kurt to give Rachel a makeover and he's like,
my men makeovers are like cracked to me, and um Rachel,
who last week was obsessed with Mr Shoot and it's
to Kurt that she loves Finn, and then Kurt is like,
hm hmm, that's not great. So he decides like, well,
(35:10):
you know who Finn likes. He likes um sexy looking girls, um,
and so he gets her made up like really sexy,
saying this exactly Finn's gonna want. And then the next
day this sort of reminded me of the last season
of Euphoria, very different, but she walks down um dressed
(35:33):
like she's sort of in grease. It walks past Finn,
and finns like staring at her and staring at her
boobs and mm hmm. Then makes fans with him to
work on a song on Friday with him to help
with the wig. She's like, how about the one from
Greece that we did in the pilot and then Finn
(35:54):
tells us the same recording. And then Finn tells Quinn
he's busy Friday, which she's fine with because she has
been a babysit with Puck Messy. Mm hmmm another distraction. Yeah,
Finn and Rachel are in the bedroom working on the song.
She comes out and she looks like Sandy from Greece,
like it's the curly hair. She's so over the top.
(36:18):
They start It's all there, and she starts singing it
in her little boom box, which I love a little.
Finn stops and goes, I'm going to say this as
nice as I possibly can, but you look like a
sad clown hooker, which is great, and it's what a line.
(36:39):
And as she's as he's rejecting her, she's like, I
thought you liked this, and he's like, no, I don't.
I was actually just having this conversation with Kurt the
other day and light bulb like oh okay. So then
the next day she confronts Kurt and it's like, you
like Finn too, that's why you set me up like this,
and Kurt's like, let me tell you something. Neither of
(37:02):
us have a chance. Finn loves Quinn and they're having
a baby, and then Rachel goes, I thought. Rachel says
I thought we were friends, and Kurt says, what made
you think that, which is funny um, and then Finn
admits that yeah, he was like uh. Quinn and Finn
(37:24):
have this nice scene where they apologize to each other
and they're gonna, you know, they're gonna do this together, right,
They're gonna have the baby, and um, she's like, can
we be in love again? And he's like, look, if
we're going to do this, I'm gonna be completely honest
with you, even though nothing really happened at all, but
that I was with Rachel on Friday and uh, and
then Quentin Finn walked on the hallway together. They're back together.
(37:47):
They passed Rachel and Kurt, who are everybody's in love
with Fin? I guess and um we get sad looking
waves from curtain Rachel and that's um pretty much. Yeah,
hiography is right, it is. Should we do some party takes,
(38:13):
tarty takes? Yeah, let's do it. Okay, cringe a cheese
cheese out cheese. Um. I have to say, as much
as I bought it, the Papa, don't preach to the triple,
it's made me really cringe. E. I mean I thought
(38:34):
there was quite a bit. There was the whole portrayal
of Jane Adams Academy, some of the um death school
things that my dread, my dreads, Um, the hierography thing,
it's like cool epilepsy. There's you know, there's a lot
(38:58):
um worst dance move. I mean we were like humping
in crazy in love and hair like it was wild. Well,
the inappropriate, which I think was the point. I think
it was the point was it supposed to be inappropriate? Um?
And I think we talked about best dance move, which
obviously would have been Jane Adams Academy jumping into the splits.
(39:22):
Yeah yeah, yeah, jump splits, mlits, booty jump splits. And
then best song the song, the song. Oh that's all nice.
I was going to say, imagine, you're just really you
deserve your moment, you know it in some time, and
you sound so good and it will be some time again,
(39:42):
so we'll take it best performance by a proper um.
I think about this first yeah you know, yeah, it
wasn't there, no no, And the women's hair is you
know that's appropriate? So um okay, I didn't edge well
(40:04):
in h well, I mean the same as cringe moments.
A lot of episodes not age well. I think I
think like the collective other, like the Scrimmages, like the group,
the other glee clubs, the whole thing was a little
off off the mark. Um okay. And best quote okay,
(40:27):
so one of them is for me Kurt who says
Rachel manages to dress like a grandmother and a toddler.
I love it. It's very funny. It's very funny. I
like when you have to see it with the prop.
But when Sue is talking to Will in the beginning
(40:48):
and she has the magazine on the table and she's like, Will,
I'd like a magazine back. I thought that was really good. Okay,
are you ready, Jenna, I'm ready. Okay, So this TikTok
is let me send it to you. Pull it up.
(41:10):
It is from Slackers Tragedy and they are showing off
all of the glee merch they have. It is crazy.
It is two and a half minutes long. Did you
know the stuff existed? Not? No, I'm looking at the
(41:30):
script right now. Okay, I get that. There's a tissue box,
the trivia box we were in, a magic eight ball.
I've never seen this magic before. It's really funny. Um.
I can't believe. I just want to know, like how
much money they spent on this? Oh my gosh, Like
(41:55):
it's really it's a little karaoke revolution and there's a
fake slushy Kevin, did you ever get Wow? We had
an award that was made for us from the O
two because we sold out the O two for two
weeks in a row. That was like a trophy. It
was a slushy. I never got mine. I never got
(42:16):
mine either. There was also a plaque we got for
selling a certain number of albums in the UK. We
took pictures with it, but I didn't get that either.
The comic book. I remember that plaque. There's a comic
book and we all look very scary in it. I
can't believe. Oh my gosh, this is crazy. That's amazing. Wow,
(42:39):
very cool, very very cool. So I was going through
some of my things yesterday and I realized that do
you remember when that Glee karaoke game came out on We? Yeah?
M hm. So I see that they have the WE game.
I have the actual physical that they gifted us with
(43:01):
our faces on it, and I feel like this person
needs that as part of their collection. So if there
is a way to send this Glee we to psycher strategy.
If you want, oh my god, there's a coloring book
to you guys, guys see this video. Um, we will
(43:22):
be posting these. Kevin, are you giving away your weed?
Is lack of strategy? Yes, I think that's really nice.
If anyone deserves it. It is this person. Are you
kidding me? Yeah, like they have things. This video is
still going on. I'm sorry I'm talking over this whole time,
but I don't know. That's amazing. UM. So I think
(43:48):
as a as a thank you to the dedication of collection,
here's one more thing, so we'll find a way to Kevin. Wow,
that's fine in um, thanks for sharing. That was a
fun one the ticnoks you mean yeah, Um, next week's
(44:14):
episode is actually really fun. We have a lot of
stories of about the Mattress store in the episode Mattress Um.
I believe this was Ian's first his directorial debut with
the show. Does he directed? I could be wrong, I
think so we'll know next week. It Yeah, We'll come
(44:37):
come back next week to find out if I'm right
or wrong and my memories um off or on um.
But thanks for recapping with us hierography and hanging out
